Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in Phoenix, AZ

We need a new A/C unit and saw the great ratings from Larson's and decided to give them a call. Billy came out today to give us his recommendation and a quote. He was so honest and helpful. I shared the other 2 quotes I already received with him and he helped me compare the quotes apples to apples. He was very detailed and easy to understand. Billy really went above and beyond by doing more research on a unit another company was recommending to make sure it was good and he was so honest to tell us it was a good unit at a good price. Wow!

We ended up going with the company that provided us the lower quote for our new unit but I would still highly recommend calling Larson's for maintenance or to get a quote on a new unit.  It can be difficult to find an honest company with great service and they really seem to be just that.

The service that Jordan provided on 6/14/19 was exceptional. He was thoroughly meticulous in not just changing the filters, but cleaning and explaining it all to me. I was impressed with the care he took to do such a great job. He wasn't in a hurry and was patient. In the past we've changed the filters ourselves, but after watching and listening to him I would have to say that the service was well worth the money. We'd been doing it wrong all this time too! Yipes!

Justin and Marquis did an excellent job replacing our entire HVAC unit. He was extremely polite and professional. Thank you Justin for the saving the day!!

We needed service fast, they answered my inquiry within 10 minutes and were able to come out within 12 hours (that next morning). Service was reasonably priced and the technician was great! My fiancé said he (the tech) was able to use great analogies to explain what he was doing. I understand why they have all 5 star reviews!! Will be using them in the future if we need them.

I called Johnny on one of the hottest days of the year when our AC went out.  I called him because of the wonderful reviews that he has received.  He came out in an hour ( ! ) and said that all that was needed was to re-connect an electrical wire.  He only charged us for the service call.  As hot as it was, we would have almost paid anything to get the air back on.  His honesty and professionalism would have earned him 6 stars is they were available.  Wonderful experience.  Can't recommend him higher.

As a follow on to Stepheni M.'s review, I wish I could give Hays 6 stars.  From design, estimation, through installation, setup and finally follow-up, everyone and everything exceeded expectations.  We were treated beyond what they said in the video advertisement.  We replaced 2 almost 20 year old 10 SEER mixed parts (mostly Trane, some Payne) systems with 2, 16 SEER Trane systems and then had them blow in more attic insulation, put some transom vents for air return in rooms where the doors are almost always closed, and add a supply register in a room that needed one.  When I say replace, I mean replace; they also said our plenums were way undersized so they replaced those too and what they said they were so spot on.  These units blow so much more cool air all through out the whole house so much better - they don't short cycle like our old system did, which was leaving hot spots (and probably higher electric bills).  So it was much more than just replacing old with new, they made sure that our system as a whole was operating better.  I'm convinced now that while some companies may be able to install new A/C and furnace units, but can they make sure everything is working well together like Hays did, that to me is a huge differentiator.  We found Hays based completely on web reviews and am so glad we did.  BTW, our OCD dog AJ already misses the guys!!!!

Randy and his crew were extremely professional, honest, did a great job, cleaned up perfectly and were priced extremely reasonably. I requested quotes from several companies. Cool zone was the first to respond and had the soonest availability. I was told a tech would be to my house between 3-5pm the same day I requested the quote. I was delighted at 1:30pm when I got a call saying the tech could make it earlier. It was nearly 90 degrees inside my house when Ryan arrived. He got right to work and had the problem solved and repair completed before 3pm! He stuck around and chatted for a little while to make sure that the temp was dropping in my house. He was very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend cool zone to anyone needing AC repairs!

We had a packrat take up residence in our 8-year old Mitsubishi ductless mini-split HVAC unit to our bedroom. WTF??? Called the original contractor, their estimate for replacement was astronomical. My wife called her BFF for a referral, and she recommended Arctic Fox. Tim contacted us immediately, offered to replace the system for a reasonable cost, and was there two days later with everything ready to go. Tim and Keith spent literally the entire day installing the new system, including careful sealing of the required new access hole, making sure all wiring and connectors were weather (and rodent) proof, as well as completely repairing the old hole (which was a rough hole that the prior contractor had simply punched through the wall, without any finishing, sealing or weather-proofing). Very happy with the result, I highly recommend them. Bye, George!

We needed help completing the install of our range hood ventilation. Gabriel came out 2 days after I called and gave us a very fair price for the work. We were more than happy with the service we received.

Outstanding service!! After initial contact I got a response within minutes, a scheduled time for the repairman within minutes of that, the repairman got here found the problem had to drive to Gilbert (from Apache Junction) for the part, got back and fixed the problem (replaced a major component), billed me, and was gone. All in about 2 hours. You can't ask for better service than that. He was a very nice and courteous man, cleaned up after he was finished, and was on the road. No BS'ing around. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing HVAC work done.

I have used David a couple of occasions. David is reliable, knowledgeable, and very responsive. My most recent air conditioning issue, I called David and told him the issue I was having. David was so nice and told me that it was an easy fix and actually walked me through how to do it on my own. My lack of knowledge, I took up 30 minutes of David's time on the phone and he was very patient with me. It is hard to find good knowledgeable people with integrity and David definitely has it. I would highly recommend David.

It's a small but professional and affordable family company. I compared their work to two other highly rated organizations on Yelp. They were the most honest about the work I needed done.  (I had an air conditioning unit replaced with a train seer 16 system and I had the air intake moved about 20 feet.  Responsive, and very affordable when compared to other bids.

It was so nice to have someone come to the house and be so professional and honest. Mike was right on time and got right to work checking out my A/C units. They are 19 years old and he said they are still in good shape. He cleaned my units and checked them out completely. I would suggest Mike to anyone.

Great quick service on a holiday weekend!

I ordered a Home Energy Audit from Ideal Energy and was not all that impressed.

To start, the original appointment was canceled the day of, an hour before the appointment time for a truck being in the shop. While I understand that shit happens - if a truck is in the shop then you probably knew this before 1hr prior to my appointment. So why wait? Luckily I am very flexible and could do it the following day. The following day they were on time.

Secondly, prior to the appointment they want your SRP number and also a copy of the last year's bills. I gave them the number and a printout of 12 of my last bills. Once the final report was given, it seemed like absolutely no attention was given to all the past bills.

I'm not sure if I fully understood what the audit was supposed to be and not be. I expected a report to be given of this is your house, this is what you can do to save money, these are what things cost, and these are your best options with the best ROI. What I felt I received was here is a new quote for a new AC and new ducting

In their defense, I know that my A/C and ducting is rigged and not in the best shape. If it was in good shape, they probably wouldn't have been there doing an audit. What bothered me about their audit conclusion was that they estimated my A/C units age, SEER, and efficiency. It literally says estimated on the report. Why is it estimated? Because they didn't want to bother with finding out the details of what the condenser unit and air handler unit's SPECs were. The stickers for both are plainly visible on both units so why couldn't you do diligence and cross reference the serial numbers? I think the most they did was look at the units and say that one unit was a Rheem and one unit was a Ruud and therefore they were not a matched unit and therefore not compatible. Likewise, with the ducts - the ductwork is not top notch, so get new shit.

Again, for granted - I knew before the audit that the insulation and ductwork needed redone and that the AC was not top notch. But again my report was your AC is old, so you need new. Your ductwork is not how we do ductwork today, so it needs replaced. your insulation is not thick enough so get some more. There was no mention of other power sucking sources in the house, despite having a pool. No mention of the quality or presence of windows, sun shades, solar panels, water heaters, or energy saving devices... Just, you need a new A/C, new ducting, and new insulation.

What I wanted for was an audit. What I received was a quote for a new AC.

My wife and I are first time homeowners and this was our first time buying an A/C unit. Had to do a lot of research to know what was good and bad and to understand some of the terminology. We had probably 6-7 quotes done before we decided. I knew I wanted to get it done before summer since our Carrier system was almost 20 years old...Wasn't going to let our system run through another summer. Like telling grandpa to run a triathlon.
Pam was friendly and reliable to count on, to get any questions answered and to get us on the schedule. Kevin was knowledgeable and fair with his quote when he came by to take a look at our system. Haven't really had the need to test out the system since it's still nice but so far I'm pretty happy with our system and can feel more relaxed about having a new system in place for summer. I am happy about the 10 year parts/compressor warranty and 1 year service included. The two installers worked hard and got it installed and running in about 4 hours. Good choice of a company to choose.

I was pushing my 18 y/o Trane to try to make it through the summer. After a service call to another company and quote of just over $1K I knew it would be easier cheaper to replace it. I got quotes from three companies and was most impressed with Chad. He took the time to ask me questions about the unit, what issues I was having, what I was looking for in a new unit. He brought back a detailed estimate including all the work that would be done. I signed up and in less than a week I have the new system installed. Freddie and Derek were prompt, professional and friendly. They arrived early, worked the whole day and cleaned up. I'll definitely be recommending Sure Temp to my friends and family.
