Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in Phoenix, AZ

After our two Trane heat pumps finally gave out after 32 years :-), I started shopping around for companies to give me bids. I got apples to apples comparisons on new Trane units and Larson came in $1,500 below their competitor's. In addition to being the lowest bid, I felt confident that they would do the best job on the installation due to the thoroughness of their sales manager, Ish Kissinger. The installers were great as well-on time, courteous, and thorough. Their customer service after the installation has also been outstanding-Ish even came over on a Saturday to bring a washable air filter for one of our new air handlers.

What a great experience. They got in contact with me within 10mins of me sending a request for a quote. They came the very next morning and was actually early for the appointment time. They didn't try and sell me something I didn't need.  This is the first time I have used this company and now I am a customer for life. The technician Mack did an amazing job doing a super thorough check of my entire AC system and did a great job explaining everything to me in a way I would understand.

Our AC went out, in July, and the inside temperature of our home was in the high 80s.  We were in desperate need of a repair and saw the positive Yelp reviews for 1st Choice Mechanical.  I reached out and was able to get in touch with someone right away who scheduled an appointment for us.  Within a few minutes, I received a call back that they could get someone out within an hour which is a VERY pleasant surprise.  The technicians were extremely professional and knowledgeable.  Unfortunately, we did need a whole new system, but they were able to create a solution to kick start our existing unit and get some cool air flowing while we waited for the replacement.  I was extremely pleased with all aspects of their service and will absolutely be keeping their information close by for the future!

Phoenix, Arizona, middle of August 2021 with 115+ temps our HVAC went out while we were on vacation. Our son was house sitting and tending to our pets when I got a notification on my Ecobee (little plug love my smart thermostat) that it went out. Once I called my son and got confirmation, it was already after 5pm. Even tho it was late I was able to reach someone and get them out there first thing the next morning. They were able to make the repair that same morning and for a completely reasonable cost. Being away from home myself, I thought it would be a more problematic situation but they were courteous, professional and understanding to our situation. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and will use them again. I felt their professionalism and customer service even after getting everything fixed, and it felt great to deal with a company that doesn't just offer it to payment, but beyond.

The reviews did not let me down. Great experience, reasonable prices and what seemed like honest opinions. They even suggested I bring a former AC company back to get their input on something they installed, even though Johnny's AC could charge me for the same service. Highly recommended.

I don't usually leave bad reviews but I was surprised by todays service. I was told over the phone there would be a $79 up front fee which would not be applied to service. That threw me off because most companies will apply it if you decide to use their service but I based my decision off the reviews and agreed anyways. After the tech looked at my unit he mentioned it is most likely a leak and it would be between 200-300 to identify the leak and mentioned that a rough estimate if I decided to fix the leak would be an additional 2,000-3,000! To top it off he said there was an additional $100 diagnostic fee which I was never told there would be a separate fee to diagnose aside from the $79. I guess the $79 just covers the gas to get to your home! Now I'm $179 short and not even certain if the issue was a leak or where the leak is at! Would never use this company again!

Great company. I called them on a Friday at 1:30 PM and the were able to get to my house at 6:30 PM. The blower motor on my second floor AC was out. They needed to get the part and were at my house by 11:00 on Saturday. Everything working great by 12:00. Great price, response, and service. I just had Arctic Fox A/C & Heating out to service my a/c for the summer. They were recommended to me by my brother.  These guys are GREAT! It was explained to me in detail what they were going to do. There was a part they suggested to replace - it would eventually stop working and I don't want to deal with a broken a/c unit in 116 degrees. They had the part on their truck and replaced it very fast. The technicians, Heath and William were very knowledgeable and professional.  I will use them again and I would highly recommend them.

We needed help completing the install of our range hood ventilation. Gabriel came out 2 days after I called and gave us a very fair price for the work. We were more than happy with the service we received.

To say I was impressed would be a total and complete understatement. I have been looking for a good AC company for the past few months to come and service my unit that I knew hadn't been serviced for a while. I searched google, yelp, and multiple other platforms to find a highly rated company. I decided to go with Dukes of Air after having seen their great reviews on Yelp. They got me scheduled the day after between 9-11 am. Kalem, the technician called me at 8:45am and let me know he was on his way over; and he showed up right at 9 am! I am sometimes cautious of the service workers that come into my house, for the reason being that I too work in the industry and I know that professionalism isn't always the top priority, however, with Kalem it turned out being his top priority. He was clean cut, his language was clean and polite the entire time and he was extremely professional. I had some boxes left in the attic from tenants that he offered to move down for me and throughout the entire visit I didn't feel that he tried pressuring me or taking advantage at all, not even once. I had a chance to hang around with him a little and have some small talk with him. I asked him about his family and he talked about them as if they were the greatest people in the world. He talked to me about his company and about how great the people are there too. I could tell that Kalem was just a downright good man and a great family man that took pride in what he did and who he worked for. Kalem was the epitome of a great service technician to say the least and he has earned the Dukes of Air my business forever as well as my referral. Thank you Kalem for the great experience and help.

I have to say after dealing with a few ac companies in the Phoenix area , bumble bee was a breath of fresh air. I had a unit replaced in July and love the efficiency and the price as well as the service. Also had them come out and service on time and the customer service side of the business is indeed the bees knees. !! Thank you Lisa for making  a believer and for living by the mantra of always doing the right thing. You will have my business for a king time.

I reached out to Alan's through yelp for my commercial space. They worked with me on a date to come out and service my office units. We scheduled this by email and I gave them the point of contact to call for the person they would be meeting at our office. Today was our appointment between 9:30am and 2:30pm. No one showed up. I called at 3:30 and the first person told me that they came to my office and no one was there so they called and when they couldn't reach anyone they rescheduled the appointment for the following day. When I told them that it was insane to reschedule an appointment without checking with the customer they told me that they were in a meeting and would have someone call me back later. Someone else called me back and then told me that no one actually showed up to my office. They called first and when they couldn't reach anyone so they cancelled the visit. The visit that had been scheduled and confirmed by email and confirmed again over the phone last week. No one attempted to reach me by phone or email. They just decided not to show up wasting an entire day for us. Very disappointed.

I just had the pleasure of having Fidel and his crew install a new AC Unit. I called on a Monday, and the next Saturday they installed the new Unit.
