Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in Phoenix, AZ

Recently had a 20 plus year old air conditioning unit go on me. I had Larson take a look to see if there was anything to get it up and running in the meantime as Arizona summers can be brutal! Unfortunately it was a goner.

I received a visit within 24 hours (of calling in to customer service) from Stuart who checked everything out, and he was so professional and thorough. He gave me honest answers and projections regarding the situation. He made sure we had the installation expert out ASAP.

We had an installation expert named Jeff who came out and found us the most economical solution possible. He was able to set us up with an installation appointment within 48 hours (impressive with a holiday in-between!). Pricing is fair and reasonable compared to competitors. It's not the cheapest option (I would say the middle ground), but you can also trust they will do a good job and work hard for your money and business.

I cannot express enough about how amazing our installation crew were. They were very careful to take everything in and out of the house and back yard without so much as a scuff on the walls. I'm so amazed at how well they worked as a team, spoke about each other and the company they worked for.

All three components of our HVAC unit were replaced (including the heater and cooling unit). The process took about 8.5 hours and from my initial call about 3.5 days! Now that's a company working hard for your business.

The components have your typical manufacturer's warranties. Larson provides an extra 24 months on their installation (which I wish was transferrable with the property or if they had an option allowing for it like the manufacturer's warranty).

Larson also has a technician and check up on the installation work several days to weeks after. We did have a gentleman come out and this is the only place we ran into trouble in the whole process. The gentleman attending was unfortunately not nearly as careful with the walls as our installation crew were. He managed to ding a very prominent hallway wall with a ladder that unfortunately was far too large for this house. I was a little frustrated on how he handled the whole thing and ended up reaching out to Larson direct via phone after his visit.

I spoke with the office manager, Doug, at Larson who was able to cover the costs and have a handyman attend to fix everything up like new. I mean of course I wish the wall was never dinged, but they also sent the technician out with far too big of a ladder for the clearance in my hall. I really appreciate their dedication to making sure customers are satisfied and the home left the way it was when they arrived. Overall Larson still gets an A in my books and I would recommend them to anyone requiring installation or a/c and heater repairs.

I have used this company several times over the past couple of years and have always been very pleased with the employees who have come to do the work and also with the telephone contacts in the office ... always polite and responsive ... particularly like the text so I can track when the technician will arrive ..  the work that each employee performs has always been of a high quality ... recently worked with Jose and Higi for a plumbing issue ... terrific men ... on time with arrival and very professional ... great company ...

Our A.C. was not working.  We called late Sunday night.  They answered the phone asap..and scheduled an appt for 7am the next morning.  Juan arrived at 700 sharp put on booties as he went upstairs.... diaganksed the need to replace a part.  Total 130 for the part and 65 for labor.  Extremely satised.  Extremely.polite courteous explained everything.  I.would give this company 10 stars..  best a.c. repair experience ever. My AC started blowing warm air on a 120+ degree day on a Sunday, the very next day i called various companies and they all put me off until the following business day. Johnny was able to come out the same day i called...

They climbed on my roof and had the issue fixed within 1/2 hour...I am very happy with the service & advice they provided....Not to mention a very, very reasonable price...

Highly recommended and will definitely call them back again in the future...

I live in Fl has a rental in Surprise AZ. The property needs an AC replacement. I found great reviews for Az Air expert so I gave them a chance and it was a great experience. I requested quotes from several companies. Cool zone was the first to respond and had the soonest availability. I was told a tech would be to my house between 3-5pm the same day I requested the quote. I was delighted at 1:30pm when I got a call saying the tech could make it earlier. It was nearly 90 degrees inside my house when Ryan arrived. He got right to work and had the problem solved and repair completed before 3pm! He stuck around and chatted for a little while to make sure that the temp was dropping in my house. He was very nice and professional. I would definitely recommend cool zone to anyone needing AC repairs!

I am so blown away by the service we received from Arctic Fox, Heath is amazing!  We were so impressed with how fast he was able to diagnose and fix our ac...and in July!  Only waiting a few hours was a complete blessing in the middle of summer.  We are so thankful to Heath and will be only calling Arctic Fox from now on!

You never want to find yourself with an AC issue on a weekend or after hours... but that's exactly the situation I found myself in recently.  

After some frantic calling around based on Yelp reviews, I discovered my new go-to heating and air guys -- Gladiate Air!  I worked with both of the owners, Gabe and Dave, and I have never felt more comfortable working with any company in the service industry!  They are both extremely personable, understanding, and genuine!  

Besides the quick accurate diagnosis and repair in my time of need, I love that they are not pushy!  I honestly cannot say enough positive things about these guys and this company, so if you have any AC needs AT ANY TIME, then do yourself a favor and contact Gladiate Air!

I called Dukes in order to get a second opinion/quote for a coil cleaning. They were able to make a same day appointment for us and even performed the work right then. Even better, they beat the other company's quote by hundreds. I am definitely impressed and couldn't be happier that I called them. Chris was our technician and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to everyone.

If more than 5 Stars was possible, i Would give Biltmore Mechanical and David 6 stars!!!! david was very responsive, and cares about his clients!!! I would recommend him above anyone in the market!!! He replaced two HVAC units and the final product was excellent!!!!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommended!

We have been a customer of Bumble Bee AC for about 4 years now and we have been meaning to write them a review!  We can't say enough good things.  We started by Having them install a new central air unit and insulting our attic.  From the consultation, quote, options and installation everything went well.  When the SRP rebate didn't come for the unit, BBAC even sent us that check to make it good.  The level of honesty is so appreciated.  We have been having them do twice a year maintenance to make sure our unit is working it's best as well.  
Today we had them come back to install a mini split unit on our addition and again, they sent enough people to do the job in an efficient manner.  This company is always there when they say as well and they have our confidence.  Hire them!!!

Best service company I have dealt with in a long time. Mike was onsite in one hour when all the other companies I called said they couldn't be out any sooner than a day and a half. He diagnosed the problem quickly and resolved it the same day. If I ever have any ac issues in the future it will be this company first.

My air conditioner stopped blowing cold air, I called Another LARGE company to come out and take a look. The other company's technician told me that the motor is completely fried and I have no Freon. He said it will cost me thousands to get up and running and because it's an old unit, it wouldn't be worth it. I asked him if he put Freon in it, if it would run, and he said no because the motor isn't running, and I would need 9 pounds of Freon. He said my only option is to get a new unit, and his supervisor will come tomorrow to give me a quote.... I paid the diagnostic fee and he left. I then called ALAN's AIR, told them that I would like a quote for a new AC, when the tech Bill arrived he asked me what I was diagnosed with, I explained the motor and Freon issue. He said he saw Freon in the unit, and the fan is blowing so the motor is fine. He said let me REALLY take a look. He found one of the wires was bad, and ONLY put a couple Pounds of Freon that it needed. After my AC was working like new... Alan's Air went above and beyond, I didn't even ask for a diagnosis or repair, only a quote for a whole new unit, they could have went the easy route but they were honest!!! The other large chain company blatantly lied to me, made up a complete false diagnosis, and insisted my only option was buying a brand new unit. Alan's Air saved me thousands, repaired my current unit, and had integrity! I would recommend them!!

Very professional and timely. Thorough and gave me several price options.  They prioritized my ac because mine had broken so they felt it was urgent.  The workers were very good at covering the floor and cleaning after they were done. I only wish they had spent time explaining my system and discussing the maintenance.

I moved into a new home that had a single unit on the roof with two stories, and my main concern was air flow. I had 6 different companies give me a diagnostic and quotes (the high end being 12K to fix duct work and add insulation) and nobody had one singular way to fix the problem I had. I reached out to Desert Comfort and they sent Sean, their air-flow guru to take a look at the system. He explained the poor design, the lack of access and the air flow issues. He also was realistic about what results I could expect, and how my system was choking with only a single return. He obviously had been doing this for decades and can work by feel. He said he would write up the scope of work.

I worked with Joseph Albertson who is the Customer Relationship Manager. He was nothing short of fantastic. We traded multiple emails back and forth,t he quote was upfront and reasonable, and I ended up adding on a few services and he guided me away from options that would only cost me money.

The crew arrived at 6AM, Sean and a partner. They go in my attic, added a new return, did an air balance, added a remote thermostat. While on top of the roof checking the system they spotted an issue with a line backup and a pound of refrigerant being low. Everything was informative and no salesmanship, I opted to have them take care of the issues on the spot. Joseph's first concern was our experience with the onsite. It was fantastic. E-invoice was easy to pay, clear to read, and this company was a pleasure to deal with. They don't advertise and they work via word of mouth and by their yelp reviews. Compared to the dozens of shady outfits in PHX that crowd out the good providers, these guys are a great provider.

These guys saved the day today! Record breaking heat of course on the weekend my AC dies. I woke up in the middle of the night to warm air coming out of my AC vents. Spoke to Sure Temp first thing in the morning and they got me on the schedule same day. Justin arrived right when I expected and fixed the problem in record time with a part in his truck. He gave me an update on the overall condition of my AC unit, recommended some future maintenance to keep it running, and was out the door. Super friendly and I sincerely appreciate the honesty about the problem and no pressure at all for higher ticket items. That means so much to me as a new-ish homeowner. And now my AC is pumping and the house is cool again. Will absolutely be calling Sure Temp for future service!
