We purchased a new 4 ton Trane XV18 AC/ pump unit from Larson after shopping around. Ish was our initial point man for: attic inspection, prices, answers to questions, technical explanations etc. He was patient and did not push even though his role is to sell.
Installation day went efficiently and smoothly. Crew included Mike, Zack and Branden. Arrived on time, worked steadily and were polite with our many questions. This company is locally owned by a family and not a distant corporation. Would recommend them for any air needs... new installs repairs or maintenance.

What an amazing company with exemplary employees; American Home Water and Air is simply the BEST!
My relationship with this company began three years ago when my water heater failed, leaving rusty water all over my garage floor. I called AHWA because, I remembered seeing their patriotic building (adorned with an American Flag paint scheme) off the side of the 17.
One of the owners, Tom, took my call. He is extremely knowledgable, courteous, and went out of his way to provide expeditious, top-tier service. He and one of his service technicians installed a highly-rated Bradford White water heater meticulously and even cleaned my garage floor of the mess the failed unit had left. Their price was more than reasonable and their service was exceptional.

Fast forward three years; I recently received a call from American Home Water and Air. They were calling to let me know that they now service and install A/C (they used to be American Home Water when I had my water heater installed).
Well, the solicitation phone call was a Godsend. I have recently been plagued with two very troubled A/C units, that were rapidly approaching an untimely and inconvenient end. Also, just the day before the call, I noticed my water softener with a huge puddle under it and damaged drywall behind it. Since I was very happy with my prior experience, I had them to my house for estimates.

This go-around was even more enjoyable and an over-all seamless experience. Mike and Tom came out and provided me with an array of options. They were polite, considerate of budget, and considering this was a huge expense; they put me at ease. I knew I had chosen the perfect company for the perfect install of a new water softener and highly- efficient Trane XR A/C system with an added-on, hospital-grade air filtration/ scrubber. (Our little boy has severe allergies)  Mike addressed pre-existing issues regarding a room that had poor ventilation, adding a return, and fixing some ducting. All this from an poor initial install.

Within five days, the team was in my house and each and every one of them were the consummate professional. Luis was the team lead, who didn't stop working for a second and made sure every piece of equipment was inspected and running excellently. Josh installed a vent above our guest room, correcting poor cooling to that room and even asked for touch-up paint to make sure it looked great. Angel installed our new water heater perfectly, explained the operation and went out of his way to salvage the three bags of salt I had just added to my old tank. He also worked with the A/C team. Daniel, Mario and Rick worked their rear-ends off non-stop on the side of the house and in the attic. They flushed all the old copper lines, triple checked pressures, welds and over-all install, put in all brand new returns, and vacuumed their work area so well, you'd never know they were working for fifteen hours in the house! The following day Brad and Darrin arrived to check the install, fix a rattling blower motor and check final pressures. Everyone of these service techs were courteous, well-mannered, well-kept and, above all, professional hard workers deserving of praise. American Home Water and Air is throw-back to a different era; when companies truly cared about their clientele and worked diligently to earn industry reputation and customer respect. Without hesitation, I highly recommend American Home Water and Air for your A/C and water conditioning needs.

My AC was on the fritz on the hottest day in AZ so far! Called Mike and he was able to help me get it back on its legs and it works like it never has before! Previously I was being serviced by a big name company who kept wanting me to buy a new unit....which I need, but just didnt have to dish out. Mike fixed the capacitor on my 17 year old unit and got her spinning again! I recommend 1st Choice Mech in your time of emergency! He was friendly, upfront, kind and knowledgeable!

Phillip has helped me on two occasions and both times he was fast in his response time, efficient with service time, completely professional and explained what he was doing along the way.  I trust Phillip and his advice just on these two interactions alone!  I have a rental, so it's usually a situation where I need something fixed immediately because it's effecting someone else.
Fran handles the phone calls and actually tried to help me diagnose and fix the problem myself to avoid needing Phillip to respond.
I highly recommend this company and will not use anyone else again.

Johnny is amazing. I called ready to accept the payment I'd have to make to get the air conditioner working in this hot summer, and he told me days. Big facts. He said my batteries might be too weak and go get some juicier ones. I figured that was right cuz Amazon isn't a battery company.

I swapped it out with duracells and it still didn't work. I called him back and he told me how to take off the thermostat and replace it myself because he was on the other side of town.

Lo and behold I got it off, saw what was wrong (the battery wasn't touching the terminal), pushed the battery into place, out the thermostat back on and BAM my A/C works.

Although we never met, Johnny consulted me at no cost and I got my thermostat working.

I would definitely recommend Hays to someone with heating or cooling issues.  Mike came out right away and fixed the a/c unit and explained exactly what the problem was.  We are in a condominium unit where the units are not easy to get to.  Mike had a 32 foot ladder which he used to climb up on the roof and take care of things.  We will certainly recommend Hays Cooling & Heating to our friends!

We had other companies come out and look at our AC unit because it had stopped working.  We were told by 3 different companies we had a bad unit, and a leak in our system because we were missing about 10 pounds of coolant.  All three companies recommended replacing the AC unit, which would have cost about $8000 to get our AC working again.

Upon a referral from a friend, we called Arizona Air Experts.  Caleb came out and spent almost 2 hours investigating the issue.  We had a value that was creating a blockage, so our system wasn't working correctly.

Caleb came by the next night after 6pm and stayed until he replaced the bad part in our system, and added the coolant that was needed.

He could have tried to up sell us like the 3 other companies with saying we needed 10 pounds of coolant, at $150 a pound.  He could have said we needed a whole new AC unit, which would have cost thousands of dollars, just like the other 3 companies said.

He didn't.  He simply was honest, found the root cause of our issue and fixed it.  The whole job was about 15% of what the 3 other companies wanted to charge.

It was great working with someone who really takes pride in their work, is knowledgable and honest.  I won't call any other AC company again, and will refer anyone and everyone I know to Arizona Air Experts!

We had a fantastic experience with Dave. He was friendly, informative and helpful. The technicians that did our install were also very friendly and polite. We talked to multiple other companies but decided to go with cool zone because of the amazing customer service experience and competitive prices. Dave even came out after the install to make sure everything was up and running and help us set up our new thermostat. We're glad we went with such a great company and will definitely use them in the future!

Great service and knowledgeable technicians. We've had companies charge a initial visit fee only to tell us that they don't know how to fix the AC unit we have (commercial Carrier). These guys have only ever sent technicians who know what they are doing. And they are always super-nice and polite. Happy are we found we them.

Backed-up condensation line. Called Mon, Henry was here on-time on Tuesday. Spent :20 and got the line cleared. Very reasonable price compared to other AC companies, wanting to charge $200 or more. Will definitely use this company again. Thank you!

These guys are awesome! We moved into our house a year and a half ago, and nothing but A/C problems since the start. We had a home warranty but all they did was patch symptoms and not fix the over all issues. This summer we were without air again for several days during a very hot stretch in June. As this was the 7th time in a year and a half the system went down we finally called Duke's of Air and had someone come out to give us an honest assessment instead of waiting no our stupid home warranty. They did a thorough assessment and we needed a whole new system (ouch). Not only did they provide a fair and well priced quote on an entirely new Trane system, they, at no extra charge, somehow managed to hobble our existing AC together so that it would run for the week while we waited on our install date. That meant we didn't have to get a hotel room and could live in the house, which was awesome. On install day they completely replaced everything, including plenums, mounting brackets, and lines. They did it very efficiently and were done before we thought they would be. The install crew was super nice and easy to work with, and the whole system looks and run perfect. They also have excellent financing options if you have decent credit which helped us out a lot. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs AC work.

David did an outstanding job.  Replaced our 16 year old hvac with a new one that is quieter and works like a dream.  Very professional, delivers what he promised on time and on budget.  Have recommended him to neighbors who have had the same experience.

Thought our 20 year old a/c had died. Other vendors only bid on replacing it. Bumblee came out, said it was the fan motor, replaced it and gave it a through once over and said it was good to go. It's been running like a champ ever since. Great customer service, friendly crew. Fair pricing. Highly recommend them.

This company was recommended by a friend. The guy who came out was very courteous and seemed genuine. Our problem was something we thought might cost us thousands but we weren't sure. He gave us an honest assessment of our issue, didn't seem like he was trying to make crazy money off of us. But, he fixed our unit, and haven't had any issues with it at all. I would recommend this company 100% and will use them in the future.

So refreshing to have a competent, reasonably priced, friendly and prompt A.C. company.  Alan and Bill are super nice and thorough.  I wanted to buy a new A.C. since mine was from the mid 80's and he explained the different types as well as ways to install which after a few estimates, allowed me to understand the short cuts other companies were making.  The price was very competitive and they have been very responsive the entire time as well as after install.  I will definitely use this company ongoing for any service I may need!

Update to last review -
After the energy audit was conducted, some serious issues were identified. It was determined that for all intents and purposes, I might as well have had a 14 hole in my wall, just pumping cool air to the street.  I was provided with a full report and a very reasonable quote to bring all of my insulation and ducting up to standards.  I was also given a reasonable quote for upgrading my pool pump to a more efficient model.  Long story short, when the work was all done, I compared the previous month's bill to the current month.  The savings was, well...take a look.  
August billing cycle:  $467
September billing cycle: $297
And I haven't even had the pump replaced...yet!  
Also to note, they helped me get all of the available rebates that I qualified for with SRP.
I'll be calling Ideal Energy when I'm ready to upgrade the pool pump soon!

So I started calling them at 9 at night and after five phone calls trying to decide from two other AC guys fadal was able to locate the unit in minutes and had us cooling within hours.. I was handling this from another state and his communication was amazing. He was able to give us a service with a discount so that now gives us peace of mind for the next two years. Thank you for working those 18-hour days in the middle of the season to keep my elderly mother cool

Wow!!  What service!  I am a teacher.  They worked with me on their service hours.  So kind.  So family oriented to their own and to their customers!  They really work hard to make sure that I am not going anywhere else.   Thank you!

Called and they were out the next morning to service and inspect. Found an issue and unfortunately they are not on our home warranty list of contractors. Highly recommend honest, polite, good service

Matthew our technician was on time, knowledgeable, quick and very professional and patient. He walked into a zoo of kids and adults alike going all different directions! Very thorough!
