Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in Phoenix, AZ

I had them come out to do an annual inspection of my heating and AC unit. Lyle and Ryan were very nice and knowledgeable. They were on time and didn't try to sell me on anything. They informed me of some minor things that may need to be replaced in the future. Would definitely use them again. Reasonably priced as well.

After receiving a quote from a Costco distributor for a water softer and water heater, we thought it was best to get a second opinion. The cost to install a new Eco Water system was $6500 plus $700 for water heater. The sales person is very good, before he leaves he has you thinking you can't live without it and should have it installed ASAP.  

Luckily, once the dust settled the Kool aid wore off you realize that's a lot of money!!!
Started searching for other companies and I found and decided on American Home Water & Air based solely from the reviews from Yelp.

When I called Tom Atkinson he was willing to give me a quote over the phone, but offer to have his partner Tom Knapp come out to speak with us since he was going out of town for the Memorial Day weekend.  Tom Knapp was able to come over that morning, spend time explaining the different systems the company had to offer, the price point of each and other type systems from other companies
We never mention Eco Water but when he touch on the brand we ask questions.  
Based on what we heard, the reviews from Yelp and the warranty on the product we decided to work with Tom and American Home Water and Air.

Angel Junior install our water heater today. I couldn't be more pleased.  
They arrive when they said they would, were friendly, courteous, and informative.  Clean up any mess that may have been there, hauled the old water softer unit and water heater away!

As soon as we have the garage floors done we will have them back to install the water softer unit.

Tim came out really quickly and was able to diagnose our issue. He was actually the 4th company we had out for this issue and he was the only one that checked over everything thoroughly and went into our attic. He communicated everything clearly and let us know our options without trying to sell us anything extra. He didn't pressure us in the slightest, and he cleaned/touched up everything when he was done. Would recommend him to everyone and will continue to use him in the future.

Sometimes you learn more about a company when things don't go perfectly. There were a few minor hiccups along the way to repairing my a/c conditioning system, really nothing major, and I wasn't at all bothered. Fran, Phillip and Juan were diligent, reliable, and professional. I was very happy with their service and the result. They nonetheless without prompting gave me a substantial discount on the bill. I would highly recommend them and will definitely call on them again if I need A/C service in the future.

Johnny finds your problem and fixes your unit. Super nice, honest, and trying hard to save you money. Johnny fixes the problem and charges you​ as little as possible.

Imagine an auto mechanic trying to sell you a new car every time you brought yours in for a tune-up​. What​ you really want is someone to fix the one you already have. That is what Johnny will do. Find your problem and fix it. I am NEVER calling anyone else.

Based on other Yelp reviews, we called Arizona Air Experts when our A/C unit was not performing well.  We were impressed with the response time and professionalism of their team.  We needed a new unit to replace the 19 year old unit we had.  They promised a date and time for the new unit and were there as scheduled to install the new unit.  We join the other Yelp reviewers in recommending Arizona Air Experts.

This is by far the best AC/Heating company in the valley. My fiancé and I have used them to repair our rental condo's AC that was acting up as well as our primary home. They are fast, professional, and high quality for the right price!

I just had Arctic Fox A/C & Heating out to service my a/c for the summer. They were recommended to me by my brother.  These guys are GREAT! It was explained to me in detail what they were going to do. There was a part they suggested to replace - it would eventually stop working and I don't want to deal with a broken a/c unit in 116 degrees. They had the part on their truck and replaced it very fast. The technicians, Heath and William were very knowledgeable and professional.  I will use them again and I would highly recommend them.

I've used Gladiate Air Conditioning and Heating for years and all they do is get better over the years, look no further, the best!

I first called upon a friend of a friends AC company (Bad Decision) they sent a tech out and billed me $95 for No Issues Discovered, Runs Normal however this was not the case. My AC would cycle on and off every 15 seconds and then again at 30 seconds, the tech said that was normal. I thought I was going mad, like the Edgar Allen Poe Book with the guy killing himself due to the scratching in the wall. But after looking through Yelp I saw 75 reviews of Dukes and all good, hey can't go wrong there right. Exactly! They were prompt to return my call on a Saturday morning, they sent Dustin out that same afternoon, he diagnosed the problem a defrost circuit board. They ordered the part and came back out on Monday as planned and walla! All Fixed. They are familiar with Trane and have all of the right tools not just a set of gauges to test for a temperature spread. Pricing was spot-on-good too. After he was all done he even blew his loud Duke's of Air Horn from the van! Can we upload audio Yelp?

I called David first thing in the morning and explained what was going on with my unit, he was at my house with the problem diagnosed before I go home from work... To say this gentlemen is top notch is an understatement. If you want a contractor who takes pride in his work, is reliable and fair, then look no further than Biltmore Mechanical!

Was sitting here at home yesterday working when I notice my AC was no longer blowing cold air.  Naturally I panicked.  Weekend coming up, hotter than blazes outside.  So I called 3 different companies to be sure I was going to get someone in the next day or two before I turned into beef jerky sitting in my living room.  I texted Bumble Bee, they came over an hour later, found a blown fuse on the compressor up on the roof, replaced and voila! Winter is coming.....So so grateful for the rapid response and professional service...

Best service company I have dealt with in a long time. Mike was onsite in one hour when all the other companies I called said they couldn't be out any sooner than a day and a half. He diagnosed the problem quickly and resolved it the same day. If I ever have any ac issues in the future it will be this company first.

Fantastic service, timely work and arrival, great communication, will be using Alans air as long as they are around. Having a good AC guy in the state of Arizona is a lifeline in itself so do yourself a favor and give them a call if your AC needs servicing You will not regret it

My family and I moved into a 1950's home in N.Central Phx 2 years ago. We knew the home had issues--10 tons of AC for 3500 sq ft of living space in all the wrong areas.  Old Hard Duct mixed in with flex ducts that had very little air flow in parts of the home.  Insulation that was spotty and not complete.   I started the process of finding a solution to our comfort issues in our home.  The journey was not easy.  In February this year, I started with the reputable HVAC companies in my area.  I had 2 smaller HVAC contractors and Howard Air, Day and Night Air, Hobaica (was the worst), and Larson Air(good).  Alex was the ONLY contractor who provided a complete solution to the many problems.  The other companies either provided a partial solution or did not even follow-up because the scope of the work was too much for their busy schedule.  Alex was the only one who crawled up into my attic space on a 105 degree day and provided solutions to insulate areas of my attic and roof that others did not even suggest or recommend.  He did his J-Load Calculations and recommended 7 tons of ac for my home, along with proper size ducts and insulation.  At first I was worried that the tonnage was undersized because other contractors had recommended that I maintain 10 tons of ac.  The team at Ideal Energy along with the project managers were all professional.  They made sure to place protective plastic and blankets over the work area every day and they vacuumed and cleaned up at the end of the day.  The entire project took 6 days.  The whole team was very professional.  They showed up on time. They were very receptive to any questions I had.  And they did all of this on the hottest week of June when the temperatures were over 110 degrees.   My family are I are now 1 month into our newly updated home by Ideal Energy, and the improvement is amazing.  The overall cost was on par if not better than the few partial quotes I received.  The flexible payment plan along with the APS rebates made the total cost much easier to manage.  My experience with Alex and his team was flawless, and it's nice to see that my monthly APS bill is going to be $200 less than last year.  Thanks so much!

A motor in my air handler went out. Handler is over 15 years, but they found the parts and were out in under two hours. Super friendly team, great service, great price. Not much else to say except thank you.

I have tried several plumbers throughout the North Valley, and these guys are the only ones I will go with now. They are prompt, polite, good at what they do, and most of all HONEST and reasonably priced.  We recently had a leak in our kitchen sink and they came out to investigate and found that our garbage disposal had finally bitten the dust. Because we wanted to choose own new disposal instead of having what they had in the van, we declined to have him install a new one just yet but would call them to install it.  We bought the new disposal then called them back, but unfortunately they were super busy so I called another plumber to come do it. BIG mistake...the other guys showed up and wanted to charge me 3x what Pro Skill had quoted.  I sent them packing and called Pro Skill back. Luckily they had a cancellation, so were able to fit me in the same day.  Love these guys. They have my business for life.

They were fast, friendly and professional. I felt like they gave a fair assessment of the issue and the options I had to remedy.

Is your AC working? Well mine wasn't... Until these guys came. Fixed my AC and they did it quickly!  Would I recommend these guys? Absolutely...unless you live in a cave with no AC...my recommendation would be pointless.
