Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in Phoenix, AZ

My AC had lost a little bit of a step.  I figured it was a dirty coil or low on freon.   So I wanted the coil cleaned the the Freon checked as well as a checkup on my ac as it had been on the roof about 9 years with nothing done to it.   I got a lot of bids by sending out requests on Yelp.  Larson's had good reviews and I prompt responses from Jamie in writing answering all my questions.   I found a number of people that I put in a bid were unwilling to answer my questions especially in writing.    They were not the least expensive bid  for these services they charged 85 and the cheapest bid was for 65.   I chose Larson because they had better reviews than the one that was offering the same services for 65.   The tech called me 30 min before he showed up as requested.  When he showed up he parked on the street showing respect in case my wife came home and wanted to use the driveway.  Colorado Johnston  was polite and professional. He also took care with my ac on the roof.  Some items I noticed was he was careful not to step on the drain pipe, he made sure he was not stripping screws as he put them back in and he put caps back on after checking the Freon level.   He got right to work checking things out.   I had a special request for him to take before and after pics of the coil as I did not want to get on the roof.  He spent about a hour working on my ac.  He found one very small extra issue with my ac and fixed it without charging me.  In the end 85 very very well spent.  A honest company based on my experience that I would gladly due business with again.  Payment is done on there Ipad.  I have added the photos of before and after of the Coil for those that may be interested.

This company is on top of their business! Super easy to arrange for a service visit and understand all your options. Jose was detailed, precise and to the point (unlike some sales people from other companies we have met with). Competitive pricing, too. Definitely give them a call to discuss your water conditioning needs!

Our ac unit had been acting up for about a week (this was this past summer) and so I knew we had to hire a professional to fix our problem. Our thermostat was set to 79 between 12 and 7, but the inside air was getting warm, going from 80 to 83/484 and not cooling down until about 10pm at night. Our ac was just RUNNING for hours. My dad called these guys and they came out the same day and fixed our problem. We needed freon and our motor needed to be adjusted. They also dusted off our ac unit. Johnny's came to our rescue on a Sunday morning in the heat of the summer. Called him and was at my house assessing the problem with in an hour.  I Highly recommend Johnny and his crew for anything with repairing your ac unit. He does not do installs or sales, but does do honest repair work.

My boyfriend and I called Hays for an estimate on a new 18 & 20 seer Trane. They sent out Jim and wow we could not have got any luckier with a guy who was personable and very thorough. Jim took the time to check everything in my house from the attic to the condenser outside, he was the first person from any company I've had to be thorough and not just throw numbers at me with a pen and piece of paper saying if I don't sign now I'll pay more later. Jim is awesome I learned a lot about how a system works today we are very impressed with him and it reflects well on Hays. Not to mention Hays offered more on the install by replacing everything not just the air handler and condenser but the pad the disconnect box and all new sheet metal and quoted me the most reasonable price. Thanks Jim for your knowledge and taking the time to make sure I understood every aspect of the replacement!!! I look forward to doing business with Jim and Hays!

We had other companies come out and look at our AC unit because it had stopped working.  We were told by 3 different companies we had a bad unit, and a leak in our system because we were missing about 10 pounds of coolant.  All three companies recommended replacing the AC unit, which would have cost about $8000 to get our AC working again.

Upon a referral from a friend, we called Arizona Air Experts.  Caleb came out and spent almost 2 hours investigating the issue.  We had a value that was creating a blockage, so our system wasn't working correctly.

Caleb came by the next night after 6pm and stayed until he replaced the bad part in our system, and added the coolant that was needed.

He could have tried to up sell us like the 3 other companies with saying we needed 10 pounds of coolant, at $150 a pound.  He could have said we needed a whole new AC unit, which would have cost thousands of dollars, just like the other 3 companies said.

He didn't.  He simply was honest, found the root cause of our issue and fixed it.  The whole job was about 15% of what the 3 other companies wanted to charge.

It was great working with someone who really takes pride in their work, is knowledgable and honest.  I won't call any other AC company again, and will refer anyone and everyone I know to Arizona Air Experts!

Cool Zone is the BEST! Quick response time both in communication and service when needed. I've never had to wait for a tech. They make me feel like the most important person at the time and aim to please. They explain clearly, up front. They answer questions and address any concerns. I've price shopped and find them to be comparable or less expensive than other places but the customer service and integrity is top notch. They do what's best for me and don't try to sell me products or services I don't need, but let me know when I do need something and take the time to show me why. Highly, highly recommend! Don't waste your time or money going elsewhere!

Simply the best AC/Heating company in the Valley. I had several quotes from different companies. Arctic Fox had the best price for the heat pump we were looking for. I signed the contract on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon the unit was up and running. The impeccable service, and quality craftsmanship we received was second to none. Backed-up condensation line. Called Mon, Henry was here on-time on Tuesday. Spent :20 and got the line cleared. Very reasonable price compared to other AC companies, wanting to charge $200 or more. Will definitely use this company again. Thank you!

I have been using Dukes Of Air for a year and a half now trying to eek out more time on a lemon of unit. (NOT from Dukes) When Robert came out this time it became pretty obvious I was throwing good money after bad. I got three estimates with Dukes being just slightly more than the cheapest but with 10 times better reviews. They got the new one ordered quick and loaned me a room unit for the fiery hot house.

Wow!  David was awesome and I am now going to use him for all my air conditioning needs!  He was super responsive and went above and beyond what was expected!  He is more than fair.  I was surprised that there are still people out there that go the extra mile....that was David!  Thanks again to David at Biltmore Mechanical!  Happy customer here!

I use Yelp to find a lot of the businesses I use. I find that the reviews are very valuable and help me make good choices. Since I use Yelp to FIND companies, I do a lot of reviews myself. I want to pass along the information and help others. When you sit down and review a company, it is hard to picture that you are not only talking about the company, but the owner. Most of the time I would say, so what? If they lived up to the hype, I write a glowing review. If they fell flat, I rip them a new one. Plain and simple. Business is business.

But it is hard to understand that with little companies, you are not only ripping the company, but the owner. Most of the time, I really don't care. Why should I care if some fat cat owner got their fat wallet hurt by what I said? I don't even HAVE A JOB, so BOO HOO I hurt your feelings. But once in a while something happens that fall outside the bounds of the norm. When I reviewed Bumble Bee I was not expecting any answer. I was DEFINITELY not expecting a refund. Let me repeat, my first review said I WAS FINE WITH PAYING THE TRIP CHARGE, I WAS NOT EXPECTING A REFUND. So when Lisa offered me one I was skeptical. I thought, sure you want to give my money back to shut me up. Make me change my review.

So I agreed to meet Lisa. Get my money, run... end of story. But something happened I was not expecting. I saw in Lisa's eyes, her face, her body language. She was not just trying to shut me up, she was genuinely disappointed. I could tell this business is very very small, and it is her families whole life. There is pride in this business. They may not be big, but they take great pride in being good. They are the company that actually CARES. When I ripped her apart, it wasn't anger, it was hurt. I took a shot at the most valuable thing she owns and cares for like a family member. She wanted to meet me not to make me quiet, but to apologize and explain. The most amazing part... she still wanted to work with me! I think this shocked me more than anything else. I figured she would be glad to see me go and never come back. But instead she comes up with a future plan of attack and prepares me for the many steps to come.

I learned a lesson here. If you are a customer who likes working with mom & pop shops like I do... You need to be a little more aware of your actions. I didn't write a bad review of Walmart... I trashed Lisa and her husband. I did it before she had the chance to explain. I did it before she could fix it. This may be ok for Walmart, but it isn't ok for a company this small. I love the little guy. I love the underdog... so why was I so willing to trash them, well that was simply me not thinking about my actions before I hit send. So Lisa, publicly I do apologize. I am impressed with how you reached out to me. I impressed I got my money back. I was fall down on my face shocked you still wanted to work with me. I look forward to it. I hope this repairs any damage I may have caused you and your family. From the bottom of my heart I am sorry if my temper caused you and your family any damage. Thank you for being the bigger person in this relationship. I look forward to working with you again.

My husband and I highly recommend Cave Creek Cooling Company.  Mike came out within an hour of our telephone call.  He even called and let us know he was within 10 minutes of our home.  He replaced our blower motor and another part and was done in an hour.  Another company said it would take two and a half hours to replace the blower.  He also said he would not replace our 14 year old unit.  Saw his good reviews on Next Door Fantastic, Fair, Reliable. I was referred to Alan by Johnny's Air, another local guy who does repair and had great reviews. We recently bought a new condo and was told by two repair companies that the entire unit (wasnt blowing warm air) needed to be completely replaced for over $7000, or they could repair it for several thousand.

Alan came out to check it out, and was super impressed by the rare and unique system. He said that although he had only seen a few of them like this, he thought he could fix it.

Sure enough, he could and the price tag was substantially less than any other quotes - which were just lazy in my opinion!

I've used Ideal at two separate properties and they provided excellent AC repair services at both.  Very happy with the work that was done and their responsiveness and professionalism.  They also have the best front office support I've ever experience with a contractor.  I will definitely keep using them.

Thursday night, I returned home, and my house thermostat was showing 85 degrees. I tried everything I knew to do without success. My husband searched for an AC repair company, saw the 5-star reviews for Desert Comfort Mechanical, and gave them a call. He called three companies, and Desert Comfort was the only one to call him back. They called back within 30 minutes. It was 9:00 pm by this time. Fidel said they could be out that same night or at 5:00 am. Since it was so late, already I opted for the early morning appointment. Fidel and another gentleman arrived when they said they would and, within 20 minutes, knew what the trouble was. They were both extremely professional and offered several options with reasonable pricing. They made the repairs the same day, provided me with Duct Cleaning company referrals, and even checked on me that evening to see if everything had cooled down and was working great.

I will refer Desert Comfort to anyone asking if I know a good AC company and be a loyal customer from here on out. Desert Comfort is a perfect example of great customer service.
