Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in Phoenix, AZ

From booking through service, what a fantastic experience! I received a message from Lyle when he was on the way, he was on time, provided prompt and thorough service, and gave tips for how to improve performance of the AC system. Everything from start to finish was fabulous!!! They called the morning of appt to confirm, Tom was very courteous and through in his explanation of the process of getting a water softener...it was our first!  When he asked how soon we wanted it, I said ASAP and he made it happen that very same day!  Fidel and Gerardo showed up on time and were very efficient and friendly. Fidel even told me that our flex unit ( which controlled air flow  air to one of our guest rooms and laundry room) was disconnected!  He doesn't do A/C repair but told me that Am Home Water has people who fix this kind of thing and I can schedule later. We have had other A/C repair guys check on this problem and none of them could figure out why this was happening!
We also had a new RO put in that same day as well.  Everything turned out perfectly!!  I would recommend this company over and over again!! Customer service, products and knowledge was A+!!!  Thank you American Home Water, Tom, Fidel and Gerardo for all you did!!!

When the compressor in our air conditioner failed, Mike worked hard with our home warranty company to ensure we were  properly cared for. As soon as the parts were ordered, and work was authorized, Mike and Tim were at our home pulling out the old unit, just in time for the new unit to arrive. They plowed through the whole replacement of the split system in a single visit, getting it done in around 8 hours, in the middle of summer (I have no idea how they are able to stand the heat!). A huge thank you to Mike and Tim, for doing high quality work so quickly! Our family is enjoying the new A/C system.

As an owner of many condos for years i worked with a large hvac firm . Until one of my units needed a new system and i was told the large firm had installed the wrong air in one of my units !!! Mike was the name of the technician who came to my home to inspect my HVAC unit on the house I had just purchased.  He was the second HVAC guy out because the first guy quoted me an outrageous price to get standard maintenance up-to-date.  I was very happy with how thorough Mike was in his inspection.  He essentially found four things wrong:

1.  Coils needed to be cleaned (part of the visit)
2.  Fuses were the wrong size
3.  Condensation hose was unhooked (ended up it was also clogged)
4.  Thermostat was pretty old.

It should be noted that the previous HVAC guy who was out didn't even catch that the fuses were the wrong size and that the condensation hose was unhooked.  The previous HVAC guy tried to tell me that the unit was a 2002 unit, and I verified through Mike and through the guy who did my home inspection prior to me purchasing it that it was, indeed, a 2009 unit.

Now I don't think the thermostat needed to be replaced, but he offered to do all of the above for $383.  I agreed, and off to work he went.

I am a due diligence kind of guy, so while Mike was working, I did some research on what all of that actually cost.  First of all, I should note that regardless, I was going to pay $85 to have the semi-annual inspection done.  So here is an itemized breakdown:

1.  New fuses     $8      (Lowes)
2.  Thermostat:   $179  (Amazon)
3.  Tax:                $16
4.  Service visit:  $85
    Total              $288

The way I look at it, I essentially paid him a $95 labor fee to install a thermostat, and I'm completely okay with that.  It would probably take me 4-6 hours to do all of the above.  His total visit was about two hours.

As a side note, I think it's pretty awesome that I can change my thermostat on my phone from pretty much anywhere in the world.  

I should also note that Mike was pretty awesome.  He took the time to explain everything to me as well as he could.  I think that in his line of work, which is extremely technical in nature, one of the hardest parts is understanding pricing in such a way so that it can be explained fluently to customers, and he excelled at that.  He also pointed out a couple of other products that the folks at Hays stand behind without offering any pressure to make a purchase.  I'm pretty sure that Mike ended up getting off about 30 minutes after the time his shift was supposed to end, and he had a long drive through traffic to get home.  Those kinds of things annoy the crap out of me when I have to deal with them, but he shrugged them off with a just doing my job attitude.  I think Mike really likes what he does for a living, and I admire that.

I will also be calling Hays next fall to do my semi-annual inspection.  I highly recommend them.

What a great experience. Darrin and his crew did a fantastic job. They could have replaced what we had, the way it already was and been done. But Instead, they reconfigured duct work and the furnaces for us to get maximum air flow.  We couldn't believe the difference.

This company is extremely professional and goes above and beyond. It was a great customer experience.

Dave came by the evening I called to give an estimate on a new unit. Of four estimates, his was the lowest. I don't usually go with the lowest, but I checked him out with BBB and Contractors and besides he's in my neighborhood. He and his crew did a great job, quick and clean. He also added dampers, moved the air handler up and over for easier filter access and sealed some areas that my previous AC guys had created. At no extra charge. Now all areas of the house are comfy and quiet. Great guys!

A++ service. Quick to come out and quick to diagnose and fix. Will have them back next year for tune up. Bill answered my questions without hesitation!

They came out first thing in the morning after I left a message. Told me what was wrong and promptly fixed it. The technician explained everything to me what was wrong and why extremely helpful in just knowing what and why.

Our AC stopped working Friday afternoon. It was 106 outside and 87 inside. I called Dukes of Air after reading other good Yelp reviews and Laura scheduled an appointment for the next morning between 7-9. The technician (Chris) called ten minutes before he arrived at about 7:30. It turned out we had a couple blown fuses. He replaced the fuses and checked some wiring and other connections. We had cool air blowing before 8:00 am. The tech was very professional and the repair/fuse replacement cost us less than $200. We will definitely call them again for future HVAC needs.

It was 115 degrees and my A/C was going on and off intermittently. A/C service companies were all booked for many days ahead.  I called Biltmore and left a message.  Minutes later David called back.  He, too, was booked for days but he took my info to try to fit me into his schedule. He called back later that day and offered to come at the end of his day which was late in the evening. That was so considerate.  I explained I could wait until morning. Although he was totally booked, he arranged to come out before his first appointment in the morning.  He arrived on time and was proficient, knowledgeable and very pleasant.  He checked out the whole system; found the problem and repaired it. My A/C is now running cold and purring like a kitten! I highly recommend David at Biltmore Mechanical.

It's hard to find trustworthy HVAC companies in the Phoenix area these days. Chase came out and quickly diagnosed and fixed a clogged condensate line. Scheduling was easy, he came out when promised, and the pricing was upfront and fair. Cave Creekers are fortunate to have such an honest and ethical local HVAC business!

Our A/C stopped working and we came home from work to find our house at 90 degrees.  I called Alan's Air and they showed up within an hour to fix it.  They were very professional and honest.  Excellent service and they are now my go to for HVAC.  Very pleased and highly recommend.

A while back, Ideal Energy did an energy audit for us with pictures, numbers, and graphs of how we could improve our home's energy efficiency. They were extremely nice, professional, and timely. They answered all of our questions. Just recently, they fixed/repaired all of our AC ducts and added a bunch of necessary installation. They were very clean and worked quickly and efficiently. They took before & after pictures to show everything they did. Our AC air is now much cooler and blows more efficiently/better. As a result, our house cools down more quickly and and stays cool for a much longer time than it did before. This makes our 43 year old house so much more comfortable to live in and we look forward to the impact it will have on our bills! We expect to save so much in the heating and cooling of our house. Great service and support.  What I needed was just a question answered on a 105 degree day.  They walked me through my challenge and helped avoid an unnecessary technician call.  I will be using them for my air conditioner checks and any service in the future.  They have forever earned my business.

One of our air conditioning units went out as soon as we hit our first 90 degree day. The technician who diagnosed the problem was great, even though he had to deliver bad news... it was time to replace the units. The technical worked with us on the best options and worked in possible rebates. The install crew came a week later and did an extremely professional job. We are very pleased with the overall quality of service.
