Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in Phoenix, AZ

After 18 years, I had to replace both heat-pumps on my house. Larson serviced them for the past 2 years but they finally gave up the ghost. By all accounts, I got my monies worth out of them, thanks to regular service.  The team (Mike, Zach and Brandon) did a great job removing the old Trane systems and replacing them with new Trane systems. The new systems are more efficient and better built so,  with regular service, they should last as long as my old system. Mike has tremendous attention to detail and made sure everything was installed correctly and tested before leaving. They corrected some mistakes made by the previous installer which will improve the quality and efficiency of the new units. Larson was not the cheapest but, the quality of work by this team is second to none. I recommend Larson Air without reservation.

I would definitely recommend AHW&A. In less than 24 hours after my first contact with the owners I had a water softener installed in my home. My phone calls were returned within minutes of leaving a message. The owners know their product and can help you decide which product would serve you best. And there was absolutely no pressure put on me to select a certain softener. Fidel and Junior installed the unit. They called on
the morning of the installation day to let me know where I was on the schedule and were prompt in arriving when they said they would. They were both professional and very friendly. They installed the unit, explained how it operated, answered all my questions, and cleaned up with no muss, no fuss. They also hauled away the old unit for me. Once again, I was very happy with this transaction.

A fantastic family owned company. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again in the future. I am very pleased with them. Tim and his father came out to repair our split HVAC system in 2020 which failed us right in the middle of Summer during the height of the Covid lock down and they were able to get us up and running in no time at all. Tim was very professional when he arrived to give me a quote on the replacement and was very well organized. Other companies that I had out for quotes just spit balled prices to me for low end HVAC systems where as Tim had his pricing in writing in a full color binder showing me all of the options that I had available to replace my system. Their pricing was also on point too and they came in lower than the other companies that I spoke with and offered a much better system. We had an older AC system from 1996 that ran on the more expensive r22 freon and it cost us an arm and a leg to repair or refill any time there was an issue. So we had Tim install a 14seer Trane unit with the newer r410 freon and we have had zero issues with it. Our new AC blows ice cold in the summer and our heater is nice and toasty in the winter. We are very happy with our decision to go with 1st Choice Mechanical and more than pleased with the quality of work that they did for us. I would definitely recommend these guys.

The reviews are worth the hype. The office support was friendly when scheduling the appointment, and Mike came out next day and saved me potentially hundreds had I gone with someone else. Mike is extremely transparent, and took the time to educate me on my system and how someone may have messed up a valve by glueing on a cap due to a previous potential leak. He was in and out in under 30-45 minutes. I would recommend this company to family and friends. (Water lines in blower cleaned out and freon added)

We arrived in Scottsdale to find our air not working. It of course was on a Saturday in September the temp was 107. We came across Johnnys number online, they called us right back and were at our house within 30 min the job took 20 min. Extremely knowledgeable!!!

General maintenance service for Cooling and Heating unit and Water Heater flush. First time customer. From the initial appointment set-up, to the two gentlemen completing the service, 5 stars. Excellent customer service all around. The communication from start to finish was top notch, zero surprises. Set up a yearly Maintenence plan because I feel confident in this company, and the technicians.

Caleb is simply the best in the business. He was extremely prompt and professional. He gave my full A/C and heating system a look over. His inspection lasted about an hour. He then gave me a full list of things that needed to be done, in order of precedence. He told me honestly what should be addressed and what could wait.

He is extremely cautions to work cleanly. When he brought in a ladder to access the attic, he laid down a rug so his ladder wouldn't touch our floors. When he came in to give us the bill, he took his shoes off.

I would highly recommend Arizona Air Experts to anyone. All said and done, and inspection plus cleaning only costed $90.

Cool Zone is the BEST! Quick response time both in communication and service when needed. I've never had to wait for a tech. They make me feel like the most important person at the time and aim to please. They explain clearly, up front. They answer questions and address any concerns. I've price shopped and find them to be comparable or less expensive than other places but the customer service and integrity is top notch. They do what's best for me and don't try to sell me products or services I don't need, but let me know when I do need something and take the time to show me why. Highly, highly recommend! Don't waste your time or money going elsewhere!

I am so blown away by the service we received from Arctic Fox, Heath is amazing!  We were so impressed with how fast he was able to diagnose and fix our ac...and in July!  Only waiting a few hours was a complete blessing in the middle of summer.  We are so thankful to Heath and will be only calling Arctic Fox from now on!

We called Dukes of Air to get a 2nd opinion after another company wanted to charge us $4550 to replace the compressor in one of our air conditioning units. Todd from Dukes explained that we had a short in the unit from a part that isn't even necessary in Arizona and repaired the issue for $107!!! He was very thorough in his explanations and even helped me redirect the flow in a different room.

Todd was great - we will ONLY use Dukes of Air for our A/C needs in the future!

Fantastic customer service and communication. I called on a Sunday over a holiday weekend and was able to coordinate someone to come look at an AC unit on a rental property the next morning. David text me when he was on the way. He kept me informed via text - even sending me a video explaining the issue. I live out of state so this was very much appreciated! Everything was fixed within an hour or so. Much less stressful than I was expecting, given an AC issue in the middle of the hot summer!

Bumble Bee AC was recommended by a friend when I told her my bedroom was the hottest room in the house. I called and they were very helpful from the start. I called on a Tuesday and they sent a technician out that Thursday for an estimate. Craig arrived on time--early actually--and suggested a mini split unit with a separate remote for my bedroom. I was able to schedule the service for the following Thursday. Again, the technicians showed up on time and in a few hours, they had the unit installed and cleaned everything up. The service was top notch through every step. I cannot recommend them enough. I am so pleased with the new unit and the easy process, thanks to the wonderful staff at Bumble Bee.

I ordered two thermostats and Michael from Cave Creek Cooling agreed to install them for me. Unfortunately after installing the first device Mike determined that the thermostats were not comparable with my systems. He reinstalled my old thermostat and would not accept payment for his time.
Michael is an experienced professional. His gesture of good will has made me a customer of Cave Creek Cooling for all of my future HVAC needs.

By far best service I have had for Home Services. Thanks Alan!!  I appreciate the quick turnaround (service call and repairs completed within an hour). It isn't often that you are smiling after a repair person leaves your home. But this was actually a pleasant experience. I thank you for your knowledge, bubbly personality and dedication to your job. I ordered a Home Energy Audit from Ideal Energy and was not all that impressed.

To start, the original appointment was canceled the day of, an hour before the appointment time for a truck being in the shop. While I understand that shit happens - if a truck is in the shop then you probably knew this before 1hr prior to my appointment. So why wait? Luckily I am very flexible and could do it the following day. The following day they were on time.

Secondly, prior to the appointment they want your SRP number and also a copy of the last year's bills. I gave them the number and a printout of 12 of my last bills. Once the final report was given, it seemed like absolutely no attention was given to all the past bills.

I'm not sure if I fully understood what the audit was supposed to be and not be. I expected a report to be given of this is your house, this is what you can do to save money, these are what things cost, and these are your best options with the best ROI. What I felt I received was here is a new quote for a new AC and new ducting

In their defense, I know that my A/C and ducting is rigged and not in the best shape. If it was in good shape, they probably wouldn't have been there doing an audit. What bothered me about their audit conclusion was that they estimated my A/C units age, SEER, and efficiency. It literally says estimated on the report. Why is it estimated? Because they didn't want to bother with finding out the details of what the condenser unit and air handler unit's SPECs were. The stickers for both are plainly visible on both units so why couldn't you do diligence and cross reference the serial numbers? I think the most they did was look at the units and say that one unit was a Rheem and one unit was a Ruud and therefore they were not a matched unit and therefore not compatible. Likewise, with the ducts - the ductwork is not top notch, so get new shit.

Again, for granted - I knew before the audit that the insulation and ductwork needed redone and that the AC was not top notch. But again my report was your AC is old, so you need new. Your ductwork is not how we do ductwork today, so it needs replaced. your insulation is not thick enough so get some more. There was no mention of other power sucking sources in the house, despite having a pool. No mention of the quality or presence of windows, sun shades, solar panels, water heaters, or energy saving devices... Just, you need a new A/C, new ducting, and new insulation.

What I wanted for was an audit. What I received was a quote for a new AC.

Fantastic company. Fadel, the tech was informative and super helpful. My AC went out at 2pm. Got a hold of Desert Comfort Mechanical and had an appointment for 6AM the next day. Fadel called at 7pm and said he was running ahead of schedule and could fit me in same day. He was here in about 11min, had the problem diagnosed and fixed very quickly. He explained everything that he did and double checked the compressor, fans, voltage, everything. Great company, reasonable pricing and great service!!!! If you are looking for a great HVAC company, call them.

This was the first time using them. I was impressed by the call by Greg reviewing the job, serviceman Aron was exceptional, good clean work in a very timely manner! Very polite and helpful!

We were extremely pleased with the service we received from Rising Sun Air.  They were so responsive and had a technician out the next day.  Kevin, the technician, clearly knew everything about A/C, HVAC care.  He was so very professional and patient.  We have been looking for an air conditioning / heating service we can partner with on a long term basis and we feel like we have found that in Rising Sun Air.  They make you feel like family!  We highly recommend them and will be using thm for all our A/C, heating needs.
