Best General Contractors in Phoenix, AZ

Russ is terrific.  I had a light with fluorescent bulbs in the laundry room that I couldn't open.  Russ came quickly (on his day off!) and removed the light bulbs. Because I needed to go buy matching ones he came back the next day.  Much appreciated!  He was quick to respond and very efficient at his work!

Had a visit from DJ on March 4th to discuss the various projects in our home. Nice guy. Seemed interested in the work. But I'm scratching my head as to why 20 days and one follow up phone call from me to him later I've still not received his estimate. DJ, if you don't want our project please just say so. Or at least reach out to me that you're behind and when you'll get it to me. No communication from you is not cool.

I did not initially contact DJ through Yelp. I called directly and set an appointment by phone. DJ came to my home on March 4th. Today is March 25th and still no estimate from DJ. I reached out to him last week and he didn't even seem to remember me. In 21 days he has not called, texted or emailed me. Which IMO is too long. I will not be emailing DJ as you requested. If he is this unresponsive over a quote I'd hate to see how things would go in the middle of my project. I'm moving on.

To begin with, Kent is great about staying in touch via text, and arrived on time.
Kent came out and looked at my punch list and one by one, every item was checked off. I was impressed, as he knew exactly what he was doing on a variety of different projects. He wasted no time, was quiet, picked up and kept every space tidy as he went along.

After living in our house for three weeks we had a roof leak that didn't come up in inspection. Zona did the tear out, roof repair, and interior rebuild. Every step of the way they were friendly, professional, and punctual. They worked with our insurance and even helped our adjuster when there were issues locating the leak. They answered all my questions in a way that always felt respected and heard. They were very professional on site and always left the site clean. I would recommend this company to anyone needing restoration work. Their finished work actually looks better than when they started!

Easy to give a 5 star review to this 5 star company. Brian & Co gave us great feedback on our remodeling ideas, they LISTENED to us regarding budget & time frame. They exceeded all of our expectations on our remodel, definitely would recommend this company to family & friends. You can tell they enjoy making your home beautiful, it absolutely shows in the quality of their work.

We had our shower done by these guys and it came out beautifully! They were all so friendly and put up with our nosey kid and dog, we would absolutely recommend going with them! Any hiccups that came up Ali addressed immediately and we appreciated that!

This team did a fantastic job remodeling our shower. Every person that came into the home was great to work with, we did experience some delays due to errors in material processing but everything was communicated and handled in an exceptional manner. We did have a question near completion but Dion setup a follow up with the responsible party and was able to correct my concerns. Looking forward to having Dion and team quote future projects.

I hired modern innovation to do a remodel in my kitchen, new flooring in the main living area's paint, move washer and dryer to another room and turn previous laundry area into a pantry, and some other things.  My first meeting Irving I felt like he would be a good fit as he seem to have good ideas and understood what I wanted and I felt I was clear.   Keep in mind my father and brother were contractors, my husband has done construction. So I'm not an idiot, but I am not by any means a contractor or even a laborer for that matter so I really relied on his expertise.   I found him to be confusing at time's, forgetful in regard to conversations we had. His way of speaking to me put me on the offensive and made me question who I hired.  And why my pantry, my front, main living room, and other minor things are not done. Once the final cabinet, was in I was done.  He's been paid for what he did. I have attached some pictures and I really hope I can comment on them but if I can't, here's a brief commentary of what I see.  On my door what is that? It doesn't match up with either side of the other floor boards and when he was installing the last cabinet he didn't notice that the the peeling paint on the ceiling. Again I know nothing about how to do carpentry but black nails on white baseboard I could swear you can get white nails if you don't plan on painting the baseboards. Putting up that ugly thing under my door I guess you didn't notice the piece of wall under the glass that was not painted nor the broken glass that wasn't broken before.  If  I could remove the one star, I gave him I would.  Now I am on the hunt for someone new that can remodel my bathroom.

Writing this review for Alex and John Halliday at Liberty Remodeling.  They recently painted our house.  It was a non-trivially complicated project:  a 2-story 4000 sq ft house with a large attached pergola, stucco repair, stuccoed perimeter wall and a very picky HOA.  Alex and John navigated the whole project very professionally from start to finish.  They had already painted one house in the neighborhood and did a great job there.  I called several of their reference and they got great reviews from the references they gave.  I was impressed with their integrity both in terms of their approach to quality work, how they handled pricing (they are dong several houses within the neighborhood) and how they managed to stay fair with everyone while still accommodating people's specific requests.  They communicate well and are responsive.  They got to the job quickly and finished it quickly, there was no dragging out of the project any more than was required (they actually did a great job of working around the inclement weather that showed up in the middle of the job).  My only knock would be that sometimes the workers didn't quite get all of the instructions passed to the owners, but that actually brings me to the best part.  And i ahve to say here that I have used many contractors before, and on this item they are the best I've ever experienced.  When they are done and ask you to review and provide a correction/punch list, I've never seen a contractor approach it as positively and effectively as they did.  There was never one moment of push back or debate.. they just went through and addressed every single thing on the list, and they did it right on the spot.  They stayed at it until we were satisfied, and although we are not unreasonable, we are not the easiest customer to please.  I will say if you're looking for the lowest price and don't care about anything else, they may not be the best fit for you, and I think they'd probably agree.  However, if you are looking for a high-quality job that is done right, to your satisfaction at a reasonable, fair price, I'd highly recommend them as I found their work to be an excellent value.  (I'm actually having them paint our rental house next)

TIP:  If you check them out you'll find that their current ROC licence is relatively new, do not take that as a negative.  Ask either John or Alex about that and they will happily tell you the background here.  It checked out and it's actually a positive, but too long of a story to include in this review.

They were very friendly and efficient. The cost of the job turned out to be quite a bit more than originally estimated.  I was lead to believe that a set of parts (now that I know what they are) would be more expensive than they are on Home Depot website.  That said, they did come over as soon as they could and fixed the item the next day.  Everything is working fine. So all's good.

We reached out to Phoenix Home Remodeling to get our fireplace remodeled, a light fixture replaced, and one fan replaced with a light fixture as well as the electrical being moved to a different spot. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome!

The house we purchased came with an old wood fireplace that simply didn't fit our style anymore. Since we don't really need the heat, we decided to go with an electric fireplace, and let me tell you - best decision ever. We anticipated that we would love looking at it, but I would have never expected that we would use it as much as we have been.

We had an amazing experience from beginning to end. Every step of the process was highly professional and super customer focused. Everyone we met was amazing, friendly, respectful, and super knowledgable. Every member of the team respected our schedules, our home, and our pets, and they made sure that we are well informed about every step of the process. Amazing level of communication!

We loved the initial assessment to see if the partnership is a fit on both sides, and also really enjoyed the design component and the insider knowledge that everyone involved brought to the table. Very transparent and upfront, which is something I personally very much appreciate and value.

I have rarely seen any contractors who communicate as much as Jeremy's team, work as reliable, and clean up to the point that you could barely tell that anything was being done. They have an amazing crew and I highly recommend hiring them for your next remodel, you will absolutely not regret it.

I wish we would have the bandwidth and savings to just have Jeremy and his crew help us immediately with our remaining projects, but when the time comes we will definitely be reaching back out!

Occasionally, scheduling can be a bit hectic when multiple specialists are on the job, but Juan is responsive to feedback and his team improves after each trip.

Jeff the owner was a very nice and fair person.  Due to a bad architect we had to make many onsite changes to accommodate issues in the plans.  Jeff was fair with negotiating compromises for these changes and his crew ultimately got the house built.  At the end of the day I have a beautiful approximate 4,400 sqft home on a great piece of land for a good price.

Word to the wise, never try and buy stock plans and modify them and make sure your architect is top notch.  I did not want to pay the .30-.45 cents per sqft all the good architects wanted, but now I wish i would have.

I had been searching for a contractor for about a year to get my 1990's master bathroom remodeled.  I had received six different quotes, all of which were way overpriced (in my opinion).  I received a referral and met with Andrew.  After speaking with him, and viewing his previous work, I felt I could trust him to do a good job.  He was helpful in getting me thru the permit process, as well as helping me with changes the Village required due to a change in ordinances.  I am extremely happy with the outcome and am enjoying my new master bathroom.  I'll be calling upon Green Home for additional work I need.

Doug is everything you look for in a small business owner. He responded quickly to my request for a quote and was very up front about stating that he wanted to see the work before quoting a price - that alone set him apart from all other businesses I reached out to for our work. During the quote visit, Doug not only looked at the security door I needed his help in removing, but he also gave some great advice on how to make the patching work we were doing on drywall holes look better. I hired Doug to handle the door and he worked hard to meet my scheduling timelines. I have already referred another friend to him and will continue to do so without reservation.
