Best General Contractors in Phoenix, AZ

Russ is terrific.  I had a light with fluorescent bulbs in the laundry room that I couldn't open.  Russ came quickly (on his day off!) and removed the light bulbs. Because I needed to go buy matching ones he came back the next day.  Much appreciated!  He was quick to respond and very efficient at his work!

These guys are great! I had a slider door replaced, with an external wall and doggy door added. DJ kept me up to date throughout the process, was very professional, and friendly. I'm super happy with the final result!

Kent and his crew did an excellent job installing our new tile flooring and baseboards. I was expecting the work to take a full week, but it was completed in half the time and on budget. I would highly recommend Details Remodeling.

Used Az remodel Pros to redo the entire master bathroom! Loved Brian, Izzy, Carlos and team. There's a lot going on In the world so finding good people that care is important. The team was great and make you feel like family. We plan on using them again for other projects like our kitchen and stairs. Can't say enough goodness about this company you will be in good hands! Very responsive and thoughtful.

We had our shower done by these guys and it came out beautifully! They were all so friendly and put up with our nosey kid and dog, we would absolutely recommend going with them! Any hiccups that came up Ali addressed immediately and we appreciated that!

The craftsmen he had on my property were knowledgeable and courteous. The project was finished on time and on budget and it exceeded my expectations in quality. From the first day that I met Irving, I felt that he was a man of good character. I would not have hired him past that day if I thought otherwise. Throughout the course of the project he took on for my client, he continued to exemplify that good character in addition to his amazing workmanship. Writing this review for Alex and John Halliday at Liberty Remodeling.  They recently painted our house.  It was a non-trivially complicated project:  a 2-story 4000 sq ft house with a large attached pergola, stucco repair, stuccoed perimeter wall and a very picky HOA.  Alex and John navigated the whole project very professionally from start to finish.  They had already painted one house in the neighborhood and did a great job there.  I called several of their reference and they got great reviews from the references they gave.  I was impressed with their integrity both in terms of their approach to quality work, how they handled pricing (they are dong several houses within the neighborhood) and how they managed to stay fair with everyone while still accommodating people's specific requests.  They communicate well and are responsive.  They got to the job quickly and finished it quickly, there was no dragging out of the project any more than was required (they actually did a great job of working around the inclement weather that showed up in the middle of the job).  My only knock would be that sometimes the workers didn't quite get all of the instructions passed to the owners, but that actually brings me to the best part.  And i ahve to say here that I have used many contractors before, and on this item they are the best I've ever experienced.  When they are done and ask you to review and provide a correction/punch list, I've never seen a contractor approach it as positively and effectively as they did.  There was never one moment of push back or debate.. they just went through and addressed every single thing on the list, and they did it right on the spot.  They stayed at it until we were satisfied, and although we are not unreasonable, we are not the easiest customer to please.  I will say if you're looking for the lowest price and don't care about anything else, they may not be the best fit for you, and I think they'd probably agree.  However, if you are looking for a high-quality job that is done right, to your satisfaction at a reasonable, fair price, I'd highly recommend them as I found their work to be an excellent value.  (I'm actually having them paint our rental house next)

TIP:  If you check them out you'll find that their current ROC licence is relatively new, do not take that as a negative.  Ask either John or Alex about that and they will happily tell you the background here.  It checked out and it's actually a positive, but too long of a story to include in this review.

Phoenix Home Remodeling recently remodeled our kitchen and dining room. This remodel included removing an interior wall and replacing flooring on multiple levels of our home. The communication was amazing, there was never a delay in any response to our questions along the way, and we were always told what time people would be showing up to work on things for the day. Our project stayed on budget (aside from the items we chose to upgrade) and it finished on time. They were generally working on our home 6 days a week. I had heard so many horror stories about remodeling prior to this project, so I was truly shocked that Phoenix Home Remodeling actually exceeded my expectations! We will be updating our bathrooms within the next couple of years and there's absolutely no question that we will be working with PHR again.

I worked with Eric a couple of months ago to put roofing over my thatched roof patio. I was probably a pain in the ass customer for Eric as I was woefully unprepared and didn't have the material purchased until he showed up to do the job. Eric wasn't rude with me, even though he had every right to be!
I was on my lunch break so I left my credit card number with the guys at Home Depot and trusted Eric to only buy as much as he needed. He bought the material, returned what he didn't need, and had the roof in top-shape within just a few hours.
It's been a couple months and everything is holding together and doesn't look like it's going anywhere.
The quote we got was more than fair and the quality of his work speaks for itself. I've had run ins with shady contractors and handymen throughout the years, and Eric is a standup example of what you need when it comes to someone you can trust with home improvement.

Marcus did an amazing job on our tile and showers. His work is impeccable, he does exactly what he says and always is prompt with his time. I would highly recommend him for any type of bath, shower and tile work!!

10:30 am We ordered two ceiling fans and a remote on Amazon thinking we would take advantage of their new Amazon Home Services Group. Our experience was horrible outside of Amazon's normal amazing delivery speed. The day of the installation we received a window of between 11am and 2pm. Kyle from I'm Gonna Fix It called and said they were wrapping up with another client and would be there around 3pm. A gentleman named Chris showed up at 4:30pm and started to work on installing our fans. He pulls me aside before he is done and says We can bill your second fan through Amazon, or if you can pay cash we will do it for 80.00 instead. Amazon charges us a 20% service fee so we can offer a cash discount.
We are so far behind schedule my wife has time to stop and grab the money on the way home from work. Right before he leaves he comes back and says Hey I don't have a screwdriver to put the batteries in the remote. He then leaves without testing it, so we had no idea if it would work. Needless to say, the remote won't sync with the system he installed so I call them up and ask them to fix it or remove the unit so we can send it back.
Chris comes out again, this time, he doesn't have a ladder, even though he needed one the first time, so we let him use ours. (What kind of a service comes without a screwdriver or a ladder?), tests the unit, then tells me Because the unit is defective we have to bill you 65.00 for the hour I was here, but not to worry Amazon will most likely cover the error because the unit was defective. So now they want Amazon to pay us back for their mistake.
His office calls to bill us and I ask them Why are we paying you to remove something that you didn't test on installation. If the tech actually tested the unit and didn't just leave, then we wouldn't be having a second service call. She says, Ok I'll call the owner and ask what we can do.
Less than five minutes later Chris shows back up at my house asking me, What's the problem, and that it was ok to bill us because we let him leave without testing it. It's not only extremely unprofessional to send a service tech back to your front door (not to mention the same one that didn't test the unit) to try and argue on behalf of the company, it borders on intimidation. I wouldn't agree that it was our fault that he didn't test the product he installed and I asked him to leave. The then promptly charged us the 65.00 for the hour.  I will never be using Amazon's Home Services again; I'll stick with hiring my Rosie on the House certified contractors.

2:00pm I added this in response to the owners comment.

I can tell you for us the service was nothing like 100% satisfied. It doesn't do me any good to yell at a technician coming to my house for being 2.5 hours late, it does let me know that maybe the company I am working with isn't 100% reliable. It doesn't do me any good when I tell the tech that I have a screwdriver available to put that batteries in, and he says it's fine and goes home. It wouldn't have done me any good this morning to send the man away because he showed up without a ladder when I had one he could use. It definitely didn't do any good to ask your company to make the service call right, because then I had a tech show back up at my house to blame me for his inability to put in batteries, and properly test something he installed.

The good news is there are companies out there that go above and beyond to make things right. Amazon refunded us your service fee of 65.00 and for the remote within the hour when we emailed them. Personally, I was shocked that they would cover a fee, that should have never been charged. It wasn't Amazon's fault we picked the wrong company off of the list to have come to our home. None of that mattered to Amazon, they made it right, and did it quickly, securing our continued business with them for a very long time.

As for offering to put in the new remote for free well I think you can see how we might not think of that as a plus. The last one cost us part of the initial 80.00 (fan installation), and an additional 65.00 (due to reasons listed above).

I appreciate the quick response to my review but fixing the issue when I called and spoke to your company would have been better. Instead, I talked to someone on the phone that said she would talk with the owner, had a technician show back up at my house to argue the point (which is not great service or professional), and then got a call three minutes later to pay because you felt it was due regardless.

Again I can't say enough good things about Amazon for erasing most of what turned out to be a horrible experience.

2:37pm Finally made it back in my bedroom tried to turn on the fan to take a nap and it doesn't even turn on manually now.

2:55 After a little investigation it seems the tech wired the fan to a different wall switch for the light and the fan, which he didn't do before. We are hiring another company to check the work.

I reached out to Juan at G&C Construction to get a quote for replacing the floors, countertops, and backsplash in my house. Juan responded quickly and came out the next day to walk through the house, get measurements and discuss the plan and provide me a quote. The next day I received a detailed quote with a breakdown of all the costs. He and his crew were able to start as soon as I needed them to. Once I was ready Juan came out again with the crew to introduce me and once again confirm the plan (flooring direction, countertops, etc). Juan quoted 2 weeks to finish the job and they finished in exactly 2 weeks and I could not be happier with the outcome. I have dealt with many contractors in the past, so I was waiting for some sort of hiccup or delay, but that never happened. Juan has been the most reliable and communicative contractor I have ever worked with. I highly recommend him for any work you need done in your home.

Five star contractor! Mark, Paul, and the rest of the crew were great. Project was started on time and completed on budget. Absolutely pleased with the work and I am scheduling some additional work now.

Had a crack in my driveway after one year in our new house. Gorilla came out right away and fixed the crack. Looks good. Can barely tell where the repair is

Andrew and his team did incredible work for us during a bathroom remodel recently. Even though everyone is extremely busy he made an effort to meet with us right away, showed up on time, and was very clear with us regarding what he could do and when.  We received a quote within only a couple days and were very pleased with his very detailed quote.  He was willing to fit us in to his schedule sooner than expected and worked with us through several design changes and last minute requests.  We would highly recommend Andrew for your home remodel projects and plan to use him on another in the near future.

I called on a Sunday at 1:30 pm. Doug was at my front door by 3:00 pm. The job was finished by 4:00 pm and for HALF of what Parker and sons had quoted me. Very professional and efficient. Highly recommended.
