Best General Contractors in Phoenix, AZ

He's the best around. Here are some pics of the before and after of my place. Cabinets. Painting. He put together ikea furniture for me which I loathe doing. Also he was a general nice man and very trustworthy. I would let him babysit my 3 year old son. That's how much I trust him.

I would have written this review sooner, but we've been too busy enjoying our new bathrooms!

My wife and I bought a home back in Feb.'17 and wanted a remodel to both bathrooms that included an expansion to the main bathroom by moving some walls and plumbing in an oversized laundry room.

It was our first remodel, and all we knew of remodels was that there are a million shows on television about them, and there's always a problem.  With that in mind, we were very open to the following:

1) things will probably cost more as the project goes on

2) it may not be done on time

3) our living situation will not be ideal for a few weeks

And those things happened. All of them. All we could do was manage our expectations. DJ, who was our point of contact for the remodel, managed everything else.

He was great at communicating our options. He returned a call within hours of us leaving a message. Every time. When we had an issue with something, he reacted.

That last paragraph is important.

Almost as important as the finished product.

I kid you not, I was taking 2 showers a day in that first month, just because I loved being in that bathroom.

Should we ever need another remodel to our home, I've got DJ's number in my phone.

I called because I saw the good reviews on yelp. However, I completly disagree. I found them to be very uneducated on the topic of remodeling. He seemed confused at everything I showed him I wanted done. We will be moving forward with another contractor. The cost is also way above what it should be. Very diasapointed since many yelpers gave such high reviews.

I shopped around for quotes for a restoration service and by far this company was the most professional, friendly, communicative, reliable and helpful. They answered promptly and when they came to the house for the estimate Justin was extremely thorough answered all of my questions and the most helpful. He has followed up with me and I'm so thankful for his help.

Found Handyman Connection through a Nextdoor post. Our Nest doorbell was installed correctly, but the chime wouldn't ding when the doorbell was pushed, so we had to rely on our phones to notify us. Tony came out and spent a while checking the wires. When that didn't reveal anything, he took the time to climb up in the attic and crawl through insulation to find our transformer, which was buried in the attic above our kitchen (we had no clue). He replaced it and now everything functions as it should. Tony was a hoot to work with and did honest work at a fair price. We'll be calling them again for our next project.

Quick and efficient. We needed our entire 2nd floor carpet replaced under a tight deadline. Brian and team were efficient, professional, and great to work with. The carpet looks amazing and they finished in one day.

We had our shower done by these guys and it came out beautifully! They were all so friendly and put up with our nosey kid and dog, we would absolutely recommend going with them! Any hiccups that came up Ali addressed immediately and we appreciated that!

I only had a quote worked up, however, Dion was very competent, quick, and to the point. Ultimately, we decided on another contractor for various reasons, but I would have felt confident had I hired D&D that my remodel would have turned out amazing. I would definitely consider them for future projects as Dion is extremely knowledgeable about code regulations and quality control.

We heard good things about Modern Innovations (MI) from a friend who lived in the Phoenix area and we were moving here from out of state.  It was easy to have work coordinated with them to get started before we even moved in.   They really listened to what we expected at finish and were very polite and respectful.  They didn't make a big deal out of a few change orders either... they had a very positive attitude!  The company worked everyday and long hours to make my deadline for moving in. The job turned out great and we already have them scheduled for additional projects!  Overall I was very happy with their work and would def recommend Modern Innovations.

My back patio covering was leaking and uneven. I ended up calling Alex from Liberty Remodeling and he came out gave me a very good estimate. They did great work and looks110% better. Thank you!

I've used a contractor once and it was a complete nightmare. I was terrified that I would have similar issues with Dream Builder Renovation and I'm very pleased to announce that they exceeded my expectations.  The price was very fair for the work I needed completed. Also, the work was completed within the time frame I was originally quoted. Maisa is awesome. She would text me throughout the day letting me know when Elvis would be arriving, what items were completed, what will be completed next and when, along with pics so I could see the progress for myself. I also liked how the work was able to completed without me  being present.
I never had butcher block counter tops before , I only had laminate. I love how Elvis brought to my attention that my butcher blocks were not sealed and he recommended that they be sealed. When I purchased my home, the tile job in my master bath was not very good (if I'm being tact). Elvis cut the tile properly; removed old caulk and applied new caulk. Now my tub looks perfect. I wanted sliding closet doors installed. Elvis picked out perfect doors and installed them. He knew exactly what I wanted which saved me a lot of time from having to get it myself. The original tile in my son's bathtub was also crooked and the tub needed to be resurfaced. Elvis took care of that as well for me. I'm very happy with the work and I look forward to calling Elvis again for future projects.

We recently used them for a kitchen and bathroom remodeling project. They were wonderful to work with - vey detail oriented and responsive. I highly recommend them.

I had a small project to update my front entry way by removing a pony wall, replacing the tile, patching up some drywall, and adding a custom built bench/shoe rack for guests to put on and remove their shoes. Eric did an amazing job and I love how everything turned out. He was super responsive and overall just a kind person to work with. He made sure to cover up the living room area while working with the drywall so dust didn't fly everywhere, which I really appreciated. 10/10 highly recommend! Thanks again for everything, Eric!

Wanted to surprise a family member who is very detail oriented by completing a bathroom while they were away. Needed someone who knew exactly what to do. Marcus responded immediately, gave an estimate with detailed verbal explanation. It was clear he didn't need guidance other than to know our preferences. He took charge and worked straight through until the job was done. This bathroom was bare bones by the way. He had to demo, reframe, do light electrical work, drywall and tile from floor to ceiling. He got it done and it looks clean and sharp. When the family member saw it, they were stunned and could tell it was professional. On top of the great work, Marcus is just a really great guy and really cares about his work. Marcus, if you see this, my family thanks you!

They were amazing!  Prompt.  Professional.  My tile shower is gorgeous!!!  They removed the old shower and cleaned up after each visit.  I will definitely hire them again.

Mark helped me out with a small bathroom remodel.  Even though it was not a big job and his team was booked months out, he personally took time to do the work himself, something he doesn't really do anymore.  It was more of a favor to us but, it shows his character and willingness to help out.  We would recommend Sunset Tile & Bath if you needed a remodel.

Jeff and the team are great! They helped us build a HIGH QUALITY dream home and we couldn't be happier! The city of Surprise was difficult to work with and Jeff helped us through all of the difficult permits and inspections. Jeff also got a better price on our cabinets and really had our best interest throughout the build. Crystal, Tom, Steve, Anthony and Aaron were so helpful and nice and the sub-contractors did a great job (especially Brandon and his team of electricians). Thank you for everything!! We hired Andrew and his crew to remodel our kitchen in May 2020. The workers arrived on time each day and were respectful of our home. The project took a few days longer than anticipated (ran into some issues with electric) but we are very happy with the finished product. Andrew was easy to get ahold of and responded quickly to our questions. We would rehire them if/when we have any other projects in our home.

Doug is very responsive and also patient. He picked up my phone, explained how much everything would cost. Also he arrives on time as he promised. The work is done quickly and with high quality. I would hire him again to do some handyman jobs in the future.
