Best Painters in Phoenix, AZ

J&M painted our house, inside and out, about 1.5 years ago. For some reason, I missed reviewing them then, it was a crazy busy time at our house.

I spoke with Jeff a couple times up-front and he could not have been more friendly or knowledgeable. Our job was extremely time sensitive because it was scheduled to take-place immediately after (like hours after) a full kitchen and downstairs home remodel and before our 65 guests arrived for Thanksgiving just 3 days later. J&M did a tremendous job scheduling and made it perfectly within the window, even despite some weather challenges. They even worked around other contractors who were still finishing up their finish work. Really well done on J&M's part and not an easy task in their business. We also had J&M do a full re-stucco, sealing and paint of a retaining wall on our lakefront.

All of their work was done professionally, thoroughly and always with a smile. Everything we asked about was addressed well. There were a couple minor incidents on the job, there always are on a job of this size, but they handled them with a smile and a no problem. In my opinion, the test of a company is not how they perform when things are going well, it's how they perform when there are challenges. And J&M stepped up and took care of everything with no hassle.

J&M does use subs for all of their work, which would normally be a red flag for me, but as Jeff explained it, they have multi-year relationships with all their subs, so they know them well and have good control over quality workmanship and timing. Our job, inside and out, turned out great. We will use them again.

Overall, this was a great company to work with and I would highly recommend them.

Rising Phoenix's work was sub-par and very expensive. During the initial walkthrough, Juan portrayed a keen eye for detail and dedication to quality that his crew clearly doesn't share (and, in retrospect, Juan only pays lip service to). There were issues with Rising Phoenix even from the beginning, with Juan not wanting to paint samples of various paints on our walls (he tried to charge me extra for this service that every other painter does for free) and instead providing small painted pieces of canvas (as if that's a reasonable alternative when deciding which paints to use for an entire house). Then, Juan conveniently forgot about agreeing to include certain additional items in the quoted price as part of me giving him the contract (needless to say, if you are unfortunate enough to do business with this company, get everything in writing beforehand). Also, there is a clear disconnect between what Juan tells you he can/will do and what his crew actually does (despite him telling me several times that he met with his crew/walked through with them to get on the same page). As his crew isn't detail oriented and doesn't seem to really care about doing an excellent job (despite Juan's claims to the contrary), they either miss many things or do them poorly. The resulting touch-up work then lead to a patchy paint job (or rather a patchier paint job, as poor use of a sprayer caused streaks and patches in several areas during the initial painting). This sloppiness also manifested in other ways, such as the crew leaving globs of dried drywall mud in river rock on the outside of the house, splattering paint on the river rock, smearing paint on my hardwood floor and bathroom fixtures, etc. Also, they straight-up lied about several things (stating that they would do various things that I asked them to but they didn't and other things) and some of the drywall repair work they did is cracking after three months. When I pointed out various problems, they made it seem like they were doing me a favor by fixing them; at various points Juan even had the temerity to suggest said that he would address the issues if I tipped his crew. Frankly, given the positive reviews (although, in retrospect, it is telling that this company doesn't have that many reviews given how long they've been in business and how busy Juan claims they are), cost, and the attention to detail that Juan portrayed during our initial walk-through, I was really disappointed and upset by the overall poor quality of the work. The one redeeming thing was the person who did a nice job of some minor exterior stucco repair. Avoid at all costs (unless you want to pay a lot for shoddy work and be frustrated by their inability to fix the problems properly despite pointing them out over and over)! There are much better painters out there who will do good work at a much better price, like the one I hired to fix all the issues that Juan's crew caused/left behind.

Robo Painting did a great job. Robert was quick to come over for an estimate that was thorough & specific. I could sense his fairness and expert knowledge immediately. Alex came to the house the day before to button down all the details and that added to the experience. Head painter Jose was a dynamo; he showed up on time & worked his tail off. He and partner Martin were friendly, diligent, and skilled. Fantastic team altogether.

Alex and his team did a great job painting the inside of our 2800 sqft home. Alex and his team were on time and finished the job on schedule. I was pleasantly surprised to find my home in better shape than what I left it as he also cleaned all the areas, too. Alex was also very affordable and I recommend him to anyone.

I needed my home painted quickly. I contacted 3 companies via phone, Extra Mile was one. I was contacted back later that day by Luis, their sales rep. I explained what I needed and he set an appointment for the next day. He met me the next day on time as promised. (First great thing, they called me back the same day and set an appointment.)

Luis met my wife and I and took the time to ask what we needed. He went through everything and made notes. He brought in color samples and was very thorough. He said he would send over an estimate, which I got in my email like an hour later. (They followed up as promised.)

Because I have no idea how much painting costs, I had another company scheduled to give me an estimate the next day. The other company did not take the time that Luis did to go over everything. They also said we needed to go to the paint store to pick our colors, that was certainly a big difference. I got the second estimate and it was about a hundred dollars less. (Their pricing was competitive.)

I immediately called Luis, on a Friday, and let him know that I had another estimate but I was going to have him do the work. I made sure he knew that it was due to him taking the time to be thorough and listened to our needs. He scheduled the work and thanked me.

After the home was painted, Luis called and setup a final walk-through. We found a couple small over-spray places, like on a window and counter. Luis marked them and had them fixed the next day.

I have had a plumber, cleaner, and video company in my home after it was painted. They all commented on the quality of the painting. I am very glad I chose this company.

Throughout this whole process, this company exceeded my expectations for communication, commitment and quality...like their name says, they went the extra mile!

Robert and his team are one of the most professional, courteous and organized team I have had the pleasure to work with. They painted our interior, installed crown molding and stained a built in wall unit beyond our expectation communicating every step of the way.

I was so pleased I am getting a quote to paint the exterior. A pleasure to work with and outstanding customer service with professional and friendly crew. No detail was overlooked and every request met.

Beyond my high expectations! Crash of Rhinos had done the original painting on the exterior of my home a few years back. When I first contracted with Rhinos I did so because they were licensed and bonded and had a 7 year warranty. Little did I know it would come in handy almost 4 years later. We had some chipping and peeling of paint. When I contacted the company they promptly sent out a painter to evaluate my concerns. The company kept in touch with me through texts giving me updates on appointment options. Christian and Joe showed up on time and quickly went to work, being mindful to cover everything with tarps. They were meticulous in their painting. They were the kindest most professional young men that took great care and pride in their work. You never think you will need to use your warranty and when you do you are hesitant- wondering if it will be honored. No worries with Crashing Rhinos- their word and warranty is their bond. It doesn't get better than this! The owner Mike sets the standard for exemplary customer service and has a wonderful team to carry out his mission.

I scheduled Alain Painting to paint my nursery. They were willing to get the paint for me but I'd already purchased it as I wanted to make sure I got Ecco (low-emissions paint). it was a small job, just 2 walls and 2 different colors. Alexander coordinated a time and date for me and he and his guys (a total of 3 men) were punctual and professional. They were in and out in a matter of 2.5 hours. And the job was spectacular. Alexander will be back on Tuesday to install the decal--it's a tree with leaves, birds, and our daughter's name. It'll sit just over her crib.

The staff were all very nice before and during the project.   Now, when we have cracks they repaired reappearing and have identified areas they failed to paint they will not return a phone call.

I received a message shortly after post the above review.   They have scheduled someone to come out to resolve the issues.

Ken came to our home yesterday and spent 12 hours correcting the issues we had with the initial work.  Ken is knowledgeable,  detailed,  and a great guy.  We appreciate how hard he worked to complete the project follow-up.

Owner Chris and son were amazing! I called them today for a last second paint job I couldn't finish on my own (very tall stairwell) and he not only was in the area on another job, but he came over and started work immediately! He was very affordable, professional, and didn't mind taking on the smaller job by itself. Will definitely be using his company for future paint jobs. Thanks!

We just had Annie come out and refinish our garage door, and could not be happier. It looks AMAZING! We recently updated our house, and the garage door stood out as really orange and dated. After lots of research, we chose Annie based on great reviews and beautiful samples of her work. She and Liz did the work in 2 days, getting our input along the way, and the end result is better than we had imagined. It's a rich brown that hits all the right notes, and looks completely like real wood. She is truly an artist and also delightful to work with. We'll continue to recommend Frogstar to all our friends and neighbors!

Called Robert to get a quote and he gave me a great price AND was able to come out quick to do the job. (I got lucky he had a cancelation).  Very friendly and did an awesome job painting my new garage door.  I would definitely recommend this company for your painting needs.

I am a Realtor as well as a house flipper. I was referred to State 48 by a colleague. I have worked with many many tradesmen & Mike and his crew were by far the best I have ever worked with. I needed painting in my home done which included some very detailed work. State 48 is now my go to painting company. I can not recommend them enough. It is very hard to find good people in construction. They showed up on time, cleaned up very well, did a fantastic job, & checked with me through out the project to make sure they were addressing all of my needs. I wish everyone run there company like these guys.

Red Rick Painting did a great job painting the exterior of my home. I had stucco done on the block wall, repairs to patio drywall and 2-tone paint for the house body and trim. Ralph was very professional and provided a very competitive quote. Their cost to stucco and paint my block wall was far cheaper than any other quote. The crew showed up on time and worked quickly. They taped and covered all the areas well and cleaned up everything when they were done. I'm very happy with the finished work and would use them again.
