my best advice is to always get multiple quotes. Don't go with the 1st or 2nd one...

Other than that, the salesman was professional and good customer service oriented.

Well, we finally bit the bullet. After a little more than 20 years, we had rust coming out of our condensation lines. I did some research on Consumer reports and Yelp and found that Trane and Larson were both at the top in their products and services. I asked for an estimate and Larson quickly sent someone out. He was thorough in evaluating everything that was installed cheaply and incorrectly when the home was built. We were given the choice of three different units, single-speed, two-speed or variable-speed. Price increases from left to right, each having a higher efficiency (SEER) rating. We decided on the two-speed unit and were told hat this was the most popular option. We do have solar, but have fallen short of break even each year. My hopes are that the increased efficiency will help us close that gap. Installing two units was very expensive, but with the increased efficiency of the units we should see our return on investment in less than 10 years.

Okay. The crew shows up about 6:00am ready to go to work. We had Mike, who seemed to be the lead, Zach and Branden. All very skilled and had great attitudes. These guys definitely aren't afraid of work and getting dirty! Day one, they had both compressors out, the new ones back in and one of the air handlers in the attic replaced. That night we had heat from both units. Not bad! It was a long 12 hour day for the crew. The new compressor units are twice the height of my old ones. Wow, I look forward to the increased efficiency! These guys replaced almost everything. The hangars, pans, air handlers drain lines and thermostat wiring all was replaced. In addition, one of our fresh air intake ducts was replaced with a larger one to promote better airflow and other ducts were re positioned to the plenum for better flow. Last, all of our intakes and distribution regulators were sealed to prevent loss into the attic. It took these hard working guys, two long days to complete the job.

Last, because a hole was cut into our wall to facilitate the thermostat wiring installation and because they did replace both attic entrances, there were repairs to the Sheetrock that were needed. In about a week, they sent out a company called Response Crew handyman services. The repairman was a great guy who did a great job with the skip trowel texture. Job complete!

Well, so far the heater is working well and the air is being distributed more evenly throughout the house. Before, one room was blazing hot, while another was freezing! In addition, the lower speed of the two speed system keeps the air coming out of the registers from feeling like a blast furnace! So we wait. We wait for summer to gauge the efficiency of the new AC units. I will provide an update after being able to compare the old and the new. I must say it is a relief having our new system. We knew after seeing rust in the condensation water, we were on borrowed time. No more worries with the new system reliability, comfort and efficiency. I am very pleased with the quality of the products and work done be Larson. While expensive, replacement of your units will pay for itself in electrical provider savings. Thanks crew! I hated to see you go!

Lyle IS the best part of Larson AC, and I would argue one of the best AC techs in the Valley!    He is worth 5+ stars, and I will be glad to have him service my units.  He is extremely polite, knowledgeable and detail orientated.  [Please do ask for him]  
   Alas, since review is for the entire business, which includes their installation of 2x new high end AC/Furnace units, with some of their other techs, who made critical mistakes, both as a group, and also individually,  caused minor damage, and forced re-do of critical AC Unit wiring, have to reduce score.  Pleasant phone switchboard and scheduling, which also keeps the score up.  Not just a Fan, as I am an MS/EE/CS Engineer who works in global data centers for the world's largest IT company; I am familiar with commerical grade AC units, due to the need for 24/7 cooling for mission critical gear for the Fortune 100.

Our ac wasn't working properly. We've had problems with other contractors in the past. Larson has great yelp reviews so we gave them a try. A very good decision. Octavio was very professional and explained everything. He even gave us repair options. He did a very thorough job in a short amount of time.  I would highly recommend Larson for any ac work.

Sam our technician was top notch.  He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and highly professional. He gave updates throughout his assessment and presented his findings and recommendations after his assessment with cost estimate. Although he did offer a service warranty option he was not pushy about it.  We will use this company I. The future.

The most outrageous  quote we received!

It was TRIPLE of the 3 companies we had quote our new Install trane ac.
We knew the general price and had been milking our old 5 ton until the winter for a fairer pricing..

The salesman sat at our house after we asked him to email the quote to us and marked up the quote that was 3 times higher than any quote we have received.

I don't need nor want your politics in my home  as well.

I've upped this to 2 stars because I was contacted by the company. They did show concern and asked for a 5 star yelp review.  I was also asked why I did call back to get the price lowered ,that is not my place nor do I have the time to that.  This is why we waited until the winter and had 4 quotes that came close to the quote we went with.  Larson was  by far the most expensive.  That was it in a nutshell.

We had our your 5 ton trane installed yesterday by a fair company and so happy we had them come back and install  a new net thermostat on our other unit.

I've used Larson Air for about 4 years now and I used to absolutely love them. I don't know what is different this year but it is nothing but problems. They'll text you and say sorry we missed you, the call was about... but they never actually try to call you. I had a maintenance appointment scheduled for this weekend and when no one showed up after a few hours I contacted them and they said looking at the job notes, it appears the office tried to call you to advise but I never got a call & don't show any missed calls. So unless my phone has just decided to not show calls from this one number only, they're not actually calling. I waited hours for someone to show up when I had other things I could have been getting done. Again, the past 4 years I've loved using them, and they've been great, but this year has been completely different and I'm thinking it might be time to try someone new.

I replaced my 3-ton A/C unit with a new Trane after getting a bid from Larsen.  Larson's employee's from Sales Manager, Ish, to their quality control inspector, Ty, we're all very knowledgeable and professional.  Ish explained in detail what my installation process would be and weeks later when I was ready, he arrived first to review it with me and introduce his install team.  They did a great job.
Ty Butler came out 3-days later to inspect their workmanship.  He made a few small corrections and touched up the paint to my attic access from the equipment removal.  This met my expectations and insured I would remain a loyal customer.  Thank you Ish and thank you Ty.

Larson Air is awesome! Why? Here's an example. Jaun came to do a routine checkup of our new install. He did great! He was very kind and thoughtful. He even went above and beyond and checked a bathroom vent that's not working well. He found it is crunched a bit and not the best setup. That was done by some other handymen so Juan gave me some great insight on how to fix the vent!

Larson air installed our new AC unit this past fall and did a fabulous job. From the salesman to the install to the follow up inspections and maintenance - everything has been top-notch. They also did an excellent job following through and getting us our SRP rebate. SRP came back with a lot of questions and Larson was right on top of it and got the necessary information over to SRP so we expeditiously got our rebate from them. I would highly recommend Larson to anyone looking to get a new AC or even for maintenance and repairs. Responsive and professional service all the way.

One our AC units stopped working  Sunday evening. Called Larson AC, based upon high review ratings, at 8:01am Monday morning. A service technician was at the house that same afternoon. Caleb (Service Tech) was professional, courteous, communicated clear & concise details of what he found, and, most importantly, had our unit up and running by 4pm that day. Strongly recommend this company.

We contacted Larsen to provide a quote and install two new 5 Ton AC units in our home. This also included new variable speed air handlers and new furnaces. Ish did an awesome job providing an estimate, he went over the details, examined our system and explained everything in detail. Mike and Zack then installed our system and they were fantastic. This was an extensive job that required a lot of time in our attic installing the new duct work, air handlers and new furnaces.

I was amazed at how quickly they were able to install the units outside and all of the equipment in the attic. The installation took two days, they explained exactly what they would be doing, and they were absolutely professional in every detail. These guys know what they are doing! The new systems work great and we are very happy with the results. They were also very respectful of our home and cleaned everything up perfectly.

I highly recommend Larsen Air and again, Ish, Mike and Zack were great to work with!

We purchased a new 4 ton Trane XV18 AC/ pump unit from Larson after shopping around. Ish was our initial point man for: attic inspection, prices, answers to questions, technical explanations etc. He was patient and did not push even though his role is to sell.
Installation day went efficiently and smoothly. Crew included Mike, Zack and Branden. Arrived on time, worked steadily and were polite with our many questions. This company is locally owned by a family and not a distant corporation. Would recommend them for any air needs... new installs repairs or maintenance.

Great experience working with Lawson air-conditioning. My 12 year old AC units were due for replacement and I received an in person quote from Claude who was super helpful. I called Larson when my AC went out, and they arrived at the end of the day which was great. However, the technician Robert told me he had to call my landlord, stepped out and never returned. It was Friday and they are closed on the weekend. He didn't tell me the diagnosis, or when it could be repaired.

After closing, at 6:15 pm I received an estimate by email which stated the part had a lead time of 5+ weeks. I called and left a message as well as replied by email. On Monday after no response, I called again and was told they would contact the technician to confirm and call me back. They never called me back. The AC had been out for 4 days at this point and the temperatore was over 105 degrees.

I called another company and they obtained the part the next day.

Last week my husband and I dealt with something every Arizona homeowner fears...having your AC unit stop working. Further complicating things is we are in the middle of selling our house. With an upcoming open house, we need a fast repair. We called Larson on a Sunday night and they were out first thing Monday morning.

After taking a look at our unit, they discovered a large leak. They offered 2 options - replace the coil, which wasn't guaranteed to work but was cheaper, or replace the unit outright. Given that the unit was almost 10 years old and not wanting to spend money on a repair that may or may not work, we decided to replace the unit.

By Tuesday mid-morning, we had a brand new AC unit installed. I really appreciate Larson hustling to get us a new unit asap to avoid having an open house with no AC (I'm sure that would have been a great selling point).

I hope not to need Larson for a long time, but next time I have an AC issue, would definitely give them a call.

I have an older and odd setup in a Scottsdale condo, where they use hot water from the water heater to the air handler for heat, and of course require a lot of cooling. I've had multiple leaks in the past and attempts from other HVAC providers have all failed. I had Larson out to assess and to provide options for fix and replace, they were great. Opted to repair with drain pan fix, condensate pump and transformer additions, coil cleaning and refrigerant added, and more. The service (and sales) team is awesome, I will keep using them 100% including their annual 'cool club' plan for maintenance visits and future discounts. Very happy to find a smart and responsive HVAC experts like Larson, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I got two A/C units from Larson about 3 years ago. They have both worked perfectly and I have not had a single problem. Today I had maintenance done and everything was great with them, no issues. Evan did the maintenance and he was so nice and friendly. He always kept me updated on what he was doing and how things were looking. He went out of his way for me concerning changing the filters which are up high and we have difficulty changing ourselves. I've been extremely happy with everything that Larson Air Conditioning has done for us.

Great service deserves an acknowledgement.  I had my air conditioner replaced and a new duct less mini-split AC installed in the master bedroom. Jacob came to look at what I wanted to be done. My house has a very low pitched roof so I was concerned with how the lines for the duct less mini-split was going to to be installed on the particular wall that I wanted it to be on.  At the time, I was not able to give Jacob access to the attic for him to see how tight it was up there.  All I had were photos of the attic I had taken in the past.  Jacob reassured me that it could be done. He gave a fair estimate and took the time to answer all my questions.  

Mike, Caleb and Cane were very punctual on the day of installation. Jacob also came to make sure everyone was on the same page and to see if I had any other concerns before work began.  Jacob actually went up into the tight attic along with Mike to see if it was going to be feasible.  They had to literally crawl from the attic access which was in the garage all the way to the other end of the house where the master bedroom is located.  Thank goodness it was not extremely hot yet because the techs had to make a few trips up in the attic.

Mike, Caleb and Cane displayed great teamwork throughout the entire process.  They were polite and had a positive attitude.  I'm so appreciative that I have a nicely air conditioned home due to their diligent work.  Nothing but a wonderful experience with this crew!

Two gentlemen installed a mini-split in my bedroom. The estimator and both installers were all on-time and very professional and took the time to explain what they were doing and took care to make sure our dog didn't escape out the back gate when they were going in and out of the back yard.

Larson came to inspect why AC stopped cooling after it was serviced by another company. Larson's conclusion was that we had no choice but to spend $7-10,000 on a new unit (of course). We had another company come to inspect for 2nd opinion and they determined that prior service guy simply mistakenly flushed all of the coolant out. They refilled coolant and charged me $300. Has been working great for going on 3 months.

Larson- don't respond with some silly comment that this is a fake review because you don't have my name on file. I use an alias like many on this site -- for me, after a crazy handyman became violent after receiving a bad review.

My experience started two weeks ago with Ish coming out to quote my new unit. He took to my dogs right away so I knew it would be a good experience from the start. He was meticulous in his review of my options and was very knowledgeable, allowing me to pick the best unit at the best price. Fast forward to today for the install: Zack and Mike were top notch. Zack was a bit taller so I had to put his name first but they were equal in skill and friendliness.  They went above and beyond installing my unit and even shifted the drain pipe so that it wasn't dripping outside my bedroom window anymore. I'll sleep better knowing these two completed my install. 12/10 would recommend although I hope I don't need to see them again for another 15+ Years!

After installing my HvAC unit , My technician Curtis , stayed w me on the phone until i connected my TRANE app and was able to control my unit from out of state.                        I was referred to Larsons by friends who spoke highly of their customer service.  They were so right. My experience w the salesman  Ish was great  no pressure.  Also their office personnel .  Connect you immediately to your service tech that day w any questions.  I am very happy ...  and I'm pretty picky , i have to say!

Luke the Install coordinator was concerned and fair with an install issue I had. He was expedient in sending out Mike and Zach a great installation team to improve placement of the AC outdoor condenser unit. I had the pleasure of meeting Lyle and working with Larsen air conditioning during an unfortunately, hot night with a broken air conditioner. Lyle responded promptly and immediately diagnosed the problem. Though it was after hours, he still made every effort to get the repair done in time for me. He was honest, reliable, helpful, and explained everything to me perfectly. He went above and beyond to fix things that were not even found on the initial report. Top notch business. I have had them out a few times now to fix our AC unit and they have been nothing but honest and informative.

This past weekend our heater stopped pumping hot air, so I tried to call Larson and it went to voicemail and I figured they were out for the weekend. Got a text message a few minutes later asking if I needed help, and I got a tech scheduled to come out in 2 hours. Got my problem diagnosed and the repair scheduled for this week.

The repair was completed yesterday and they always send a great report with plenty of pictures detailing the work that was done. I really appreciate the work and it's worth the price. You truly get what you pay for with Larson!

We had Larson come out to look at our heater as it would not start. Our service technician was Octavio and he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He was able to fix our gas heater and install a carbon monoxide monitor in our house as we didn't have one. We knew we had an old unit and he was able to repair without the pressure of us purchasing a new unit. One year after they installed a new AC unit, we had a small issue and Larsons was out next day to assess the situation, replace parts and make sure things were back in working order. I am VERY happy with this company and would recommend them to anyone who needs reliable AC and Heating. They keep your current system in great working shape as long as possible PLUS if you should need new equipment, they dont just install and ghost you, they remain with you to make sure things keep running well. Its exactly what a homeowner is looking for! Great company and the right ones to call NOW if you are reading Yelp reviews. You cannot find better than Larson. An AC air handler went out in a commercial building I help manage.
Charles with Larson Air came by to diagnose the issue, then later replace the fan/motor in the air handler. Although the repair was in a hard-to-reach location Charles handled it professionally and kept the area clean. The cost of repair was also better than other quotes we received.

I had Larson come out and help us with our remodel project. They went above and beyond with their service. It took a little time to work through some things but once we got those things worked out the service was excellent. They did a complete duct renovation for us and as we are still working to complete our remodel. I will say, the duct work has been complemented on multiple times from the other contractors we have had working throughout the house. I would recommend Larson to anyone looking for AC service. I would assume their service is the same for all the products they offer.

We had not heard our HVAC units serviced since we moved in several years ago, so I called Larson based on their high Yelp rating.

I wasn't disappointed.  They picked up the phone right away and and scheduled me for the next day.  The technician arrived as promised and was very professional.  We have three heat pumps and I noticed they were blowing cooler immediately.  Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.  And I have a lot of confidence in their work.

One thing to note - - they want you to sign up for an annual service contract with maintenance visits every six months.  It would have been several hundred dollars more expensive a la carte.

Great Service!  I had my 24 year old a/c unit replaced by Larson and everything went extremely smoothly.  The technician, Michael House was friendly, professional and efficient. He removed the old a/c, installed the new one and sealed all the ducts for added a/c efficiency. I'm thrilled with the extremely cool and quiet new Bosch a/c!  Claude Wouters, my contact and project manager for my install was very helpful and answered all of my pre-install questions.  He gave me a lot of valuable information on the premiere a/c units available and I am so happy with my choice.  So grateful a friend recommended Larson and I had a great team working on my house today!!

Oh my goodness! I was having A/C problems in the heat of the Arizona summer, my first call was to Larson. I made a great decision with Larson Air Conditioning. From the very beginning, they were awesome. I received a call the next day after submitting my online quote request. When Jacob arrived, he was very considerate. He was extremely detailed and answered all my questions...which were a lot.
The day of the installation went smoothly! Mike H. and Ryan were great. They worked well together to ensure my unit was properly installed. My unit was originally from the late 80s, and I had a mecury thermostat.
The guys did a great job all around. Mike was extremely patient with the Nest Thermostat installation. It was extremely difficult, but he worked with me to figure it out. I am definitely looking forward to the summer with my new AC.

After having terrible service by a competitor who said my A/C was not working because it needed Freon (which they added) it only worked for a few hours and stopped again.  I then called Larson based on the positive reviews.  I suspected it was the P-Trap, which is common during monsoon season.  It was indeed the P-Trap.  Larson serviced the unit while giving me explanations of why these issues happen.  The service was professional and courteous from beginning to end.  This seems to be a family business and they care for the customer.  You now have my business from here on.  Thank you

Larson Air Conditioning did an amazing job at installing my new AC system, specifically Jacob, Kyle and Zac.

Jacob, the person who quoted me on the project, wasn't pushy/aggressive, super responsive, informative and nice. Kyle and Zac were very fast and thorough at installing the AC -- making sure I was fully comfortable before leaving. Kyle and Zac also found a way to do this work while making minimal noise, allowing me to fully focus on work/zoom meetings.

Price/value wise, Larson had better reviews than any other option and they were the most cost effective option. Ideal combo of value and cost.

After 18 years, I had to replace both heat-pumps on my house. Larson serviced them for the past 2 years but they finally gave up the ghost. By all accounts, I got my monies worth out of them, thanks to regular service.  The team (Mike, Zach and Brandon) did a great job removing the old Trane systems and replacing them with new Trane systems. The new systems are more efficient and better built so,  with regular service, they should last as long as my old system. Mike has tremendous attention to detail and made sure everything was installed correctly and tested before leaving. They corrected some mistakes made by the previous installer which will improve the quality and efficiency of the new units. Larson was not the cheapest but, the quality of work by this team is second to none. I recommend Larson Air without reservation.

Not very happy with this company after seeing all these POSITIVE REVIEWS. I called LARSON AIR CONDITIONING to be 1/5 companies to give me a bid for 2 brand new 5-Ton AC's & a 2-ton MINI SPLIT for the Dog Room. At first they were great & very responsive, but once they got to my house I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in their level of service & how thorough they were (or lack of thorough I should say) and the recommendations they gave were completely wrong & the prices they quoted me ended up being almost double what I ended up paying to have TWO x 5-Ton BOSCH Inverter Air Conditioners added to my house!

Lyle has been our technician since we bought our new Trane from Larson Air Conditioning. He has had to return for follow up repairs but each time he treats us with the upmost respect and professionalism.

As far as reliability and customer service is concerned, this company is outstanding! What I appreciate the most is that they send the same technician at every visit. I'm still not sure whether buying one of the maintenance plans was worth it, but I'll just wait and see. The staff is always friendly on the phone and very responsive! When our old builder-grade air conditioner recently went on the blink during a long 110-plus-degree week, we immediately contacted Larson Air  Conditioning LLC, Scottsdale, for quick help.

Anyone who has lived in Arizona for a length of time knows that you shouldn't mess around with shopping an HVAC service provider. This is especially true during the hottest Arizona summer on record and during a pandemic to boot. (Their techs donned booties and face masks in our home.) There's no cutting corners on so important a provider.

We'd used Larson as we tried to squeeze the last bit of life out of our old builder AC/heating unit with good results. Larson's service staff obliged, adding that we would likely need a new unit sometime in the future. No pressure. (Face it, an air conditioner is not exactly a sexy purchase, and a quality unit is a rather large, albeit, important, investment for home, comfort, and health.)  

Then came the vibration on a recent hot night. I thought a helicopter was hovering over our roof or that the bathroom overhead exhaust fan had suddenly had it. Larson techs confirmed early the the next morning that It was our old rooftop AC unit taking its last breaths.

Larson handled everything from there: Payment options, product options, scheduling--everything.

We soon had a new quality (Trane) AC unit with a maintenance-free Halo whole home air filtration system. We now have airflow in our home we didn't know had been missing. We sleep cooler and live cooler with better disbursed cool air throughout the home. Maybe it is a sexy purchase.

As for Larson Air Conditioning, they operate a tight ship. If you want clean, respectful, knowledgeable service techs and staff throughout the process, call Larson. They show up exactly when they say they will, come through with everything they promise, and offer a solid, honest deal on service and product.

I'm not one to write reviews especially over $10 burgers but when it comes to a new AC for thousands of dollars I'll make an exception.

I found Larsons on Yelp, they came out quickly to quote a new AC system and I must say that the sales manager Ish was nothing but amazing. He took the time to understand what I needed, completed an analysis of my home to ensure that the AC was properly sized and wasn't trying to oversell me on something not needed.

The install happened on a day that would work for me and they sent out techs Mike and Caleb. Both were really nice, knowledgeable and respectful of my home. They did an amazing job installing the system and it looks 10x better than my old setup and functions that much better as well.
They even come out a week later for a full quality check and test the system which is great.

I'd recommend Larsons for sure to anyone who asks no questions or hesitation!!

Easy to schedule the appointment...Claude (technician) called to say he was on his way, I received a text and an email with a picture of Claude, so for safety's sake, I knew who was going to show up.

Claude had a suggestion to rectify my small issue and it seems to have worked. He looked at all of my condensing and handling units and gave me recommendations on when they may need to be replaced. His knowledge of the business was really good and he/they have earned my business.

A bit of background. We just bought our house a year ago, and the AC was original to the house which was built in 2000. It blew cold, but was extremely loud. I could hear it 3 houses away when I would walk to the mailbox. And it was easy to tell it was ours because it had this weird pulsing sound. We knew it was on its last legs, but we had a home warranty and were just trying to get it through this summer so we could replace it in the spring of 2021. Then Covid hit, and now we're home all of April, May, June, and finally, the last Saturday in July it decided to finally die.

I won't bore you with the intervening week, but if you read my other reviews you might be able to find out what happened. Suffice it to say that by Wednesday evening we'd had enough with the home warranty company and their crappy representatives, and I called my friend Gus. Gus works for Larson, and he was appalled at my story of poor service from the other company that was supposed to fix our system. Their estimated time for repair was 7-10 business days. It was 95 degrees inside our house, and they wanted me to wait another 2 weeks to get it fixed. Gus contacted Claude at Larson, and Claude told me he would be there the next morning (Thursday), bright and early. And true to his word, he was.

Let me tell you a little about Claude. He's an honest, gifted, salesman, even though he doesn't like sales (so he says, he's really good at it). He doesn't just tell you what he thinks you want to hear, he takes the time to educate you on your existing system, it's flaws and benefits, and what options might be best for you. He told me that most homes with solar (like ours) don't tend to get the most expensive, highest efficiency systems as they cost much more and with our low electric bills we wouldn't see return on our investment for many years. A lower priced system, still highly rated, would likely be more practical.

I talked it over with my wife during lunch, and we agreed with his assessment and called him back that afternoon with our decision. He set us up with an installation for the following Monday. Then things got interesting. Due to the pandemic, their suppliers didn't have the all the pieces of the particular system I wanted in stock. He tried all day Friday & Saturday to find them to make our Monday installation appointment. On Monday, he let me know we would have to push to Tuesday, but with a pleasant surprise. Since they couldn't get the system we had chosen by our expected install date, they gave us a free upgrade to a higher rated system. The only additional cost was for the thermostat, as the new system wasn't compatible with our Nest.

So, Tuesday morning, at 6:30, three awesome guys, Mike, Brandon, and Dennis, arrived at our house and removed the old system, installed the new one, set up our new thermostat, and after 10 days I'm finally spending the night in my own house again. Our new system is efficient, powerful, and extremely quiet (check my pictures for a link to a youtube video I made if you want to see just how quiet it is). I cannot sing their praises enough, everyone I dealt with at Larson was professional, polite, and personable. Hopefully it will be another 20 years before I have to replace this system, but when that time comes you can bet I'll be calling Larson again.

Another Yelp WIN!!! We called Larson because of their stellar reviews and they absolutely lived up to what people have to say! We moved into our home in January so wanted to get the air conditioners serviced before the summer months really hit.

From the moment we placed our first call, to the reminders ahead of our scheduled service via email and text, to our incredible technician Sam, it was truly a 5 star experience. He showed up right on time, with a mask on, and was extremely professional.

Over past couple decades, we'vd had two major A/C service companies, one after the other, change with growing success from good to expensively unreliable.   Older now, we can't do as much of our own maintenance, as we used to, but understand what it's about.   This time, needing to choose a new service, we took the trouble to ask friends and check Yelp ratings.   ...worked out well!   The response was quick with intelligent questions.  Service was the next day, even though we didn't call it an 'emergency'.    The technician that came, Joe Reyes, was smart, answered all our questions, did the work fast without rushing, and did the extras.   ....then returned to lower the quoted price, as he'd used less refrigerant than predicted.   The AC blows colder than in some time.  Can't ask for more than that!

Our townhouse a/c unit decided call it quits over the 4th of July weekend.  110 in desert with no air conditioning is not fun. Larson was able to send out a technician on a Sunday. He was great about calling my son's roommate to let him know when he was headed to townhome so kid could stay with friends in cool home until technician was on his way.  I felt we were given an honest assessment of our aging unit and technician was polite, professional and neat.  He was able to patch it up so we could get thru the next few months. We will be calling them over the fall/ winter for an estimate on replacement unit.

Claude was out to a rental property in less than 3 hours.  He noticed someone had turned the thermostat to 70 and brought it to my attention - thank you Claude!  Someone showed up saying they were there to view the property, which is for rent.  Instead of just letting them in he asked fir a name and confirmed with me that it was legit.   He called to discuss options and had the estimate available before the hour was up.  Claude's exceptional service has given Larson Air a big headstart on the competition!

Buying a new HVAC system is an expensive endeavor and there is a lot to consider when deciding on a vendor. From the moment Ish Kissinger from Larson Air walked through the door we knew that we contacted the right company. He gave us a crash course on HVAC and explained why our current system was under performing.

Sunday night, Labor Day Weekend. AC went out. Nightmare!  We called Larson AC. We never used them before. The fact that they are a family run business with a great reputation sold us. Amazing company,  I can tell this company has great management,  such honest, on time and efficient workers.  They rebuilt the whole a/c set up in attic for better efficiency,  when they arrived they put down cloth drop clothes from front door to closet where attic door was to prevent my floors from getting dirty.  They covered everything in closet so that nothing got dirty and they made sure everything was clean when finished,  Impressive!

I wanted to update my review of Larson Air Conditioning.  Earlier today I received a call from Larson.  They had read the review I had written earlier and were concerned about what I had to say.  I carefully explained my experience.  They listened to everything I had to say and assured me that 1) my experience with them was not typical, and 2) that they absolutely stood by the warranty on the products they sell and install.  Apparently there was a miscommunication about how the warranty replacement process works with them.  Also, they assured me that they had no idea why I was quoted 2-3 days for the repair.  I was told they usually handle the entire process same day to avoid any delays in making the repairs.  They were very apologetic and assured me that if there were any problems with the unit in the future, they would absolutely stand behind it.  I was also told that if I suspected that any problem was developing, to let them know and they would send a tech out immediately since waiting until a failure occurs sometimes can compound repair issues.

Folks, they did not have to make that call.  I give them a lot of credit for wanting to talk to me and telling me they had addressed this internally as well.  Larson apparently does quite a bit of business via word-of-mouth referrals, thus their concerns about my review.  I have updated the original review above and changed my rating from two to four stars.  No company executes perfectly all the time and they showed me they are committed to customer service and want to do a good job.  Should I need warranty work on my Lennox A/C unit, I will give them another shot at the business.

I can't say enough great things about Larson Air. from the owners, to installation techs, to service techs. their service is superior, they are thorough and they don't make you wait. They are a family and they take it seriously when there is an issue or when it's time to upgrade. This is NOT a pushy company. they listen to your specific needs and they don't believe in snake oil products and want very much to make sure you're happy, not how much money they can make. I wouldn't go with any other HVAC company. they don't have a ton of 5 star reviews for nothing. I'm very hard to impress, they impress me and I don't have to be concerned or worried that something is overlooked.

We're SUPER happy with our decision to use Larson to replace two A/C units and reroute some ductwork in our home. From the time Claude came to view the potential job and give us an estimate, to when the quality control tech (I can't recall his name!) came by to check the finished work, they have been top-notch.

We even had to test the depth of their customer service after one of the installers accidentally stepped through our ceiling and broke a light fixture. Larson immediately arranged for the repairs to be made to the ceiling, and they found the exact matching light fixture to replace the broken one. In my opinion and experience, that is EXCEPTIONAL.

Larson has earned our continued business, and I'm very happy to have decided to use them after previously working with other companies.

This was by far the best experience I've had with a contractor, from start to finish.  Jacob was thorough and not too salesy when looking at our home and estimating for a new HVAC system. The quotes were a tad higher than I received from other companies, but I liked that the whole process was easy to complete online, including approval for financing, which many others don't offer. Their 10-yr. warranty is also better. There were a couple small glitches: the crew showed up to work at 6:25 am (rather than the 7-8 am window they gave me...would have liked to have had my coffee first), and our existing Nest was not compatible with the upgraded 2-stage system (I was able to order a new one for free immediately through APS, which Larson will install after it arrives). Other than that, Mike and Caleb were efficient and had the unit installed and working by 4:30 pm. Even Jacob was on-site for a bit to help with things. They worked within a very tight space, and had to move other appliances to do so. Overall, a very positive experience.

After years of debating/praying that our air conditioners would last another summer, we knew this year we would have to bite the bullet and get it done. We had Larson come give us a quote and found them to be very reasonable. They were able to get the specific units we wanted and schedule the install for the next week. Jeremiah and another man (sorry I forget his name) were our techs. They were punctual and took care of everything we needed. They moved a few things in the back yard and even had to take down a bookshelf in one of the rooms to access the attic but when they were done you would never know they were there! They even kept working despite finding a SNAKE in our attic- and volunteered to remove it if they found it again. It was anticipated that some drywall would have to be cut to fit the new units in- but they were able to get it done without cutting, saving us a lot of money and mess!

We are very happy with the work they did, our units keep the house cool all day long at half the run time of our old units. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new ac.

Although their website advertises Gilbert as a town they serve, apparently some parts of Gilbert they do not. I know I don't live in the best part of town, but it was frustrating being told that.

Our AC went out over the weekend (Sat night). So me and my wife researched extensively for the most recommended and HONEST Yelp reviews for AC companies. Larson had amazing reviews, and after going to their website and seeing Gilbert as a part of the valley they serve... Our search was over. We no longer looked for anyone and waited until they opened on Monday.

When we called, I said we were in Gilbert and needed AC servicing. They asked for which zip code in Gilbert. The rest is history, and we began looking for a new company.

I'm sure the Yelp reviews are accurate and Larson is a great company. Just please update your website to say certain parts of cities instead of the whole thing, because it cost us two more days in a 95 degree living room.

I dumped Howard Air after being jerked around too many times.  There's just a point where you have to cut ties.  Then I searched for a new company, read reviews and selected Larson.  I have nothing but positive things to say.  They are responsive...show up when they say they will...communicate effectively...and take time to thoroughly investigate and document any issues.  Then, they provide photos and videos to explain their findings.  There is no pressure to up-sell.  
As with many service companies, there is often a low-trust factor.  I sleep with one eye open and am always looking for low-integrity, rip-off artists.  Larson Air Conditioning is on the up and up.  I am very comfortable with the way they conduct business and the integrity/honesty of their service technicians.  Heck, one even killed a rattlesnake for me!  Awesome.  Then, he cut off the rattle and took it to his young son.  Cool.  Well done!

At the outset, I need to let it be known that the following review is based solely off the experience I've had thus far with Larson Air Conditioning's front office scheduling assistant (Marissa), their Sales Manager (Ish Kissinger) and the company's owner (Jared).  

At the end of last year, my family and I moved into our new home, where one of the items noted within our home inspection was the age of our AC units (both original to the home, going on 25 years).  That said, I'm thankful to have made it through our new home's first summer without a complete failure of either unit, however, it's apparent they've seen better days and I will soon have to replace them for the sake of our indoor comfort, but also to ensure I have reliable and much more efficient units for years to come.

Recently I scheduled an appointment with Larson Air Conditioning to provide a quote and outline the best options for my family's situation.  Marissa was super polite and scheduled Ish to come out and perform the eval.  Ish has been in the HVAC business for a significant amount of time and the gentleman knows his stuff.  He promptly went into my attic, reviewed the condition of our two furnaces, duct work, outside units and based on the priorities I'm hoping to achieve with a new install, he provided a breakdown of the best solutions for our needs.  Not only does Ish know his stuff, but he is simply a class act.  His assessment was honest and his recommendations were clearly tailored toward my family's best interests.  

Once I received the proposals I had a few questions in terms of the systems' lead time, brand comparisons, etc.  Jared then gave me a call and spent much of his busy morning explaining the expectations both in regards to  system reliability, efficiencies, lead time, etc.  The fact that the owner of the company takes time out of his busy day to address the concerns of one of many prospective clients speaks volumes as to the outfit's integrity, transparency and willingness to do whatever is best for their customers.

Based on the level of professionalism and service I've experienced thus far, I have no doubt Larson will provide a great experience once my family and I are ready to move on our project.

As the saying goes, the most important day of your HVAC units' life is the day it is installed.  Choosing a reliable and efficient brand of HVAC equipment is no doubt important, however, having the right people perform the install is equally (and perhaps even more) important.  I'm looking forward to the day I can give Larson Air Conditioning a call to take care of my HVAC needs.  I'll make sure to provide an update to this review when that day comes.

Recently had a 20 plus year old air conditioning unit go on me. I had Larson take a look to see if there was anything to get it up and running in the meantime as Arizona summers can be brutal! Unfortunately it was a goner.

I received a visit within 24 hours (of calling in to customer service) from Stuart who checked everything out, and he was so professional and thorough. He gave me honest answers and projections regarding the situation. He made sure we had the installation expert out ASAP.

We had an installation expert named Jeff who came out and found us the most economical solution possible. He was able to set us up with an installation appointment within 48 hours (impressive with a holiday in-between!). Pricing is fair and reasonable compared to competitors. It's not the cheapest option (I would say the middle ground), but you can also trust they will do a good job and work hard for your money and business.

I cannot express enough about how amazing our installation crew were. They were very careful to take everything in and out of the house and back yard without so much as a scuff on the walls. I'm so amazed at how well they worked as a team, spoke about each other and the company they worked for.

All three components of our HVAC unit were replaced (including the heater and cooling unit). The process took about 8.5 hours and from my initial call about 3.5 days! Now that's a company working hard for your business.

The components have your typical manufacturer's warranties. Larson provides an extra 24 months on their installation (which I wish was transferrable with the property or if they had an option allowing for it like the manufacturer's warranty).

Larson also has a technician and check up on the installation work several days to weeks after. We did have a gentleman come out and this is the only place we ran into trouble in the whole process. The gentleman attending was unfortunately not nearly as careful with the walls as our installation crew were. He managed to ding a very prominent hallway wall with a ladder that unfortunately was far too large for this house. I was a little frustrated on how he handled the whole thing and ended up reaching out to Larson direct via phone after his visit.

I spoke with the office manager, Doug, at Larson who was able to cover the costs and have a handyman attend to fix everything up like new. I mean of course I wish the wall was never dinged, but they also sent the technician out with far too big of a ladder for the clearance in my hall. I really appreciate their dedication to making sure customers are satisfied and the home left the way it was when they arrived. Overall Larson still gets an A in my books and I would recommend them to anyone requiring installation or a/c and heater repairs.

We had Raymond come out yesterday and I couldn't be happier. He was here for 3 hours and was extremely thorough. You could tell he wasn't rushing through the job to get it over with and wasn't trying to upsell me. Our AC went out around 10:00am. I called Larson AC around 2:30pm, they were able to send someone out same day between 3:00pm-6:00pm, I was expecting a technician to be here later but I got a call a little after 3:00pm saying a technician was on his way!
Sam was our technician and he was very nice and explained everything to me before doing anything to our unit or charging us. Luckily, it was an easy/quick fix for him! After $500 we have a working AC unit! Very happy with the service today.

Nothing worse than your AC going out in the summer in AZ. I have an ancient unit (26years old) so I was certain that the repairman would tell me I needed a total replacement.

I even told the repairman that I knew my unit was ancient and was prepared for bad news.

He was on time, had a mask and booties covering his shoes and he went to work. He came back 20 minutes later after checking the unit and my furnace and asked to see the thermostat.

Turns out my unit was fine. My thermostat was bad. He offered me a replacement and left me with a $79 service fee plus the cost of the new thermostat.

It's not easy to find integrity anymore. But this company clearly preaches it from the top and it's apparent that their guys in the field practice it as well.

I can't recommend this family business enough.

Second time I've called Larson. This time our AC went out at 2 AM. Called them at 8:00 AM and had a technician to my house by 11:00. Quick diagnoses & repair. Had the system fixed for a very reasonable price.

Previously called them when our heat went out. Same response time. Both technicians also answered a lot of questions i had about our old HVAC.

No pressure, no up sell and reasonably priced.

I've had this company take care of my unit for several years and always have a good experience with them. My AC unit stopped cooling this morning, and they were able to come by this afternoon and diagnose/fix it easily. They also communicate very well, which I really appreciate. They will send a photo and update of when the technician is on their way. Thanks for being a reliable, professional and helpful company (especially in Phoenix where we need good AC)!

~Terrible Experience~
1. Installers WENT THROUGH my UNDERGARMENTS; (9.7.21) I notified the project manager same day. I never received a call from the owner for an apology for the inappropriate behavior, but did receive an apology from an install manager.
2. DAMAGED STAIRWELL during installation. (9.7.21) I was told by the project manager that I would be contacted by the company they use for repairs. I hadn't heard from this company in the timeframe I was told, so days later, I asked the install manager when the repairs would be scheduled. He said they would call me to set up a time. I never heard from them until after I called Larson Air to follow up regarding the third issue.
3. DAMAGED ROOF during installation. (9.27.21) A few weeks after the install, a rainstorm came and there was a leak in my ceiling. I requested the company to do a quality control check(which I was told would be done a week after the initial install then later told they were extremely behind and would complete the quality control check when they had availability). A tech was sent same day, he identified and photographed several large saw cuts on the roof next to my AC unit which he believed were made during the installation. He said it was an unprofessional job and couldn't believe the quality of the work done. He also examined the ceiling leak inside my home, and said it appeared to be a direct result from the saw marks. He also shared he did not know what the next steps were in resolving these issues because he typically isn't involved in these matters. He assumed the company would be covering all costs and would be following up with me the next day. Unfortunately there was no follow up from the company. I have been the one to follow up every time.

I've been trying to simply get answers regarding the reimbursement process for these damages. NO ONE from the company has been able to explain how the reimbursement works for this situation. I've been trying for 2 whole days to get answers. I'm sure if this situation was experienced by their wives, daughters, or mothers, they would be prioritizing my concerns. It appears the owner only is prioritizing the positive google review responses, and not addressing the difficult situations a true leader would confront head on and in a timely manner.
I need to talk to either the owner or someone who actually can resolve these issues. PLEASE CALL ME. It is a shame I have to leave a review in order to get the bare minimum service from Larson Air.
***Anyone reading this review, make note that I've waited weeks before posting a negative review because I was giving this company an opportunity to right their wrongs.***

I hired these guys a while back to give a 2nd opinion on an outrageous quote given to me by another HVAC company (whom I have also reviewed). They said the quote I got was bogus and I just needed some basic maintenance (clean coils, etc.). They could have just agreed with the first guy and swindled me for the job. Pandemic? Don't care - must have air!  So I called Larson...

I needed a new AC unit so per usual I got recommendations from friends. But also found info for Larson Air on the SPR rebate site.  I got multiple quotes for the job and Larson was the hands down choice. (Sorry friends your recommendations were fine, but Larson was well above the rest)

All staff interactions were very professional.  This company has high expectations for staff and staff meet those expectations.  Claude provided an interactive quote with links to a plethora of details, but he still patiently answered my questions to help me decide on which company to use and which Trane AC unit to buy.    

Technicians Mike, Kyle and Dylan were focused on their tasks, yet friendly and respectful of my home. Especially Mike and Kyle who went above and beyond when my project had an unforeseen delay.  They both stayed well into the evening to ensure my AC was working so I had air for the night.  They then returned the following day to finish the job.

I'm extremely happy with my new AC unit and WIFI capable thermostat.  Thanks to Larson and their extraordinary team.

Larson Air Conditioning is the standard in the Valley. as They set the bar high and everyone else is just trying to catch up. They did a complete new HVAC install in my house in August of 2019 and have performed the regular maintenance on it since. My air conditioner went out on a 106 degree and muggy day!! Larson Air sent Lyle out to fix it the guy would not give up until it was fixed and cooing my house. At 9:25pm he's done the house is starting to cool off wow thank you Larson and thank you Lyle!!

I have had my old air-conditioning unit approx 20 years now.  I knew it was soon time to replace it, intermittent drips/leaks were starting and parts were rusting.  I have used Larson for my maintenance services for a number of years.  Always honest, fair priced and very ethical.  Today, was no different.  On time the crew came, and methodically, explained the process and did an excellent job.  Putting a large cloth down to protect my floor etc.  It took all day, as I had a new unit to put on the roof and also a new unit inside installed.  Plus a new smart nest thermostat put in as well.  Kyle and his partner were absolutely amazing, very professional, upbeat and very knowledgeable, they made a great team.  Everything is in tip top shape.  They also took the time to clean up really well, and disposed of all the old items.  My place looked fabulous when they left.  You could not get better prices or service, they truly go the extra mile. I was told to expect a quality service person to contact me in order to come out to inspect everything in a few weeks.  I could not be happier with this great service and company.   I highly and happily recommend Larson Air Conditioning.

Larson Air Conditioning is a well run organization using technology to communicate with customers; I located Larson AC via Yelp and decided to try them based on customer reviews. Having engaged with multiple AC service companies in Phoenix for over a decade, can say Larson's ability to deliver excellent, timely service is extraordinary. Filled out service request online. They called me within a hour to schedule an appointment for the following day. Received an email and a text message with the technician arrival time. The next day, Larson office staff also called to confirm. On the day of Service, I received a text containing the tech's name and picture. When tech arrived (on time!), Joe was very professional; he diagnosed the issue rapidly, showed me what was not working and provided an accurate quote for the service. Joe was polite, knowledgeable and professional; kudos to Larson for building an excellent tech team, for delivering a great customer experience and for leveraging technology to engage with customers.  Will most certainly use Larson in future!

I've been in AZ all my adult life, and have worked with many HVAC contractors, these guys are the best by far.  They not only do what they say they will, but do it professionally and with attention to detail; for example, little things like not blocking the driveway with the van, and not leaving a mess around the attic access when they are done.  The detailed report, complete with photos, you get after service is completed is fantastic and should be the standard.  I cant recall the bame of the tech who helped us out in summer of 2021, but he was great, and Caleb who just completed a visit with us now was also excellent.  Again Im over the moon with these guys, call them now.

We have a air conditioner that leaked for years and had been looked at by several companies.  We were told the only solution was to replace the unit.  I called Larson to FINALLY have the unit replaced because they had done other work for me and I had been satisfied.  Enter RANDY BEERS, he looked at our unit and gave us some ideas on how to solve the problem ourselves.  IT WORKED!!!  Randy you are the best, we are so happy to have a working AC that no longer leaks and we owe it all to U!

Just an update. Our energy bills have gone down from the new insulation, which is great. Sam just stopped by to do a check on our air conditioner/heater to make sure everything is working. He was very kind and professional. He called me ahead of time to let me know he was on his way and was very patient while my dog would not stop barking. He was also wearing a mask. My AC System is an older not so efficient one, I maintain it but know it will not last many more seasons. That's why I'm looking now for a good company  for when I need to replace it. I've had negative experiences in the past with some companies and decided to have a couple companies out here and hired Larson to do a system check. Leo checked the system out advised me of a part that was not so strong, cleaned the coils checked refrigerant and all is good. I knew about the part that was failing so had no problem getting that replaced. All is running like it should, price was reasonable and Leo was professional. Larson is on my list to call when I need a new unit.

We had new thermostats installed yesterday and our regularly scheduled system check (twice yearly). Our technician was Sam and he is amazing. He thoroughly checked our systems and then installed the thermostats. He didn't leave until he tested and made sure everything was working on all three devices and he walked us through how to adjust and set them. We are in our early 70's and totally appreciate the extra time and care Sam provided. We will be in the market for three HVAC units down the road and we will definitely call Larson's. We will also be requesting Sam for any service needed. This is a family owned business.

7/15/2020 Follow up.  Our old A/C units were too outdated to fix.  due to numerous false starts with the manufacturer (not Larson) we had to replace both units

Larson gave us the best price and worked closely with us along the way, from the office staff to Claude who provided options for the estimates to Mike and his team who installed the units, these guys were top notch all the way. I'm glad I stayed with them in spite of the initial difficulty.  They even provided me a temporary evap unit to ensure we stayed as comfortable as possible until the new units were installed.  Nice work folks, I appreciate you.

Had to do it.  Didn't want to do it.  But I had to.  My AC was original. 23 years old.  Ugh.  On the hotter days I could tell it was a struggle to keep the house at 80 degrees. It was time.

So I started the process.  Got some bids.  Of course it was way more than I had hoped but the last time I purchased an AC unit was in 1993 in Minnesota so I know $1500 wasn't in the cards this time.  As an added bonus with my barely used furnace being of the same vintage, that needed to go too.

I chose Larson Air.  I am glad I did. Their price was right in the middle for everything but I was very happy with the financing I was able to get to pay a majority of it, and I have zero interest which is fantastic. Bart, the estimator was very nice, helpful and patient with my bazillion questions.

The day of the install, which was the Monday after I made the decision on a Thursday, the installation crew was right on time first thing in the morning.  They were very conscious of not making a mess and if they had to, cleaning up after.

This new Trane unit is a beauty.  Quiet, hardly seems to run compared to the old one.  I'm almost excited to get my next power bill from APS just to compare to last year!

Just a quick response. I was very clear about what I was looking for on the phone. I repeated myself several times to give them the opportunity to be more clear.

I knew exactly what was wrong with my old unit. I was looking for a quote on either replacing the coil, or replacement of the system. I was told they would not give me a quote on the repair, without me paying a fee for a new diagnosis. I did not need a diagnosis, I already knew the problem. I made this clear, but they said they require this for repairs. I understand if that if their policy, it is their right. However, they were the ONLY company that would not give me a free quote for the repair. They were the only company that required two appointments.  

I'm sure your average customer doesn't know much about their units, but I did. I'm sure you average customer doesn't call multiple companies to get quotes, I did. I am not telling people not to go to Larson, as I'd bet they do great work. I'm just telling you why I didn't choose them.

These guys are just amazing!

They are clean, they work hard until the job is complete, they take photos and even wear booties and clean up after themselves. This is the way its supposed to be.

Claude, JC and Caleb were excellent at sealing my duct work in attic and sealing the vents from inside the house. Believe it or not, as soon as they left, I could feel and smell the difference. It was subtle, but so much cleaner and fresher. I had no idea it would make such a difference! I am impressed with their attitude, and their work. It's hard to find real gentlemen in this kind of work, and this team out did themselves.

Our A/C went out unexpectedly, and we weren't sure where to turn. I went onto Yelp and read over Larson's excellent reviews. And I'm pleased to add my endorsement and recommendation.
I called last night after their business hours and was very pleased to receive a callback from Cheryl within the hour. She was very informative and helpful and set us up with an appointment for this afternoon. This morning I received a call that they could get someone here this morning. Perfect! Caleb showed up shortly, met with us to understand the problem, did a rooftop check of our HVAC, came back down with pictures and a diagnosis, and advised us about costs. He was committed to making sure we understood the problem and our options. He was thoroughly professional and friendly, and did an excellent job of repairing the unit. He also checked out the heating, and reported that everything was good; he also saved me the trouble of changing out the air filters. We signed up for their maintenance program, which will keep us ahead of the curve.

I don't think I could write a glowing enough review for this company!!
Its come to our attention that while there are a LOT of A/C companies here in AZ - most of them just move the unit into place and do the hook ups.
Yeah - we ended up replacing a 8 yr old system. We started having big repairs on a Trane system in 5 years. The guy that installed it started doing commercial A/C and we couldn't even get him to return our calls.
So- getting ready to retire, we wanted confidence that someone would do it RIGHT.
We had 4 estimates - referred to us by people we knew or neighbors.
Larsen was the only one based on Yelp reviews.
The other contractors hardly spent any time at our home at all. Not a lot of details discussed - just brand/size/price.
Ish was a completely different professional. Terrific guy and really knows his stuff!
He spent at least an hour looking at, photographing the system. He brought his laptop in and sat down with us. He didn't sell us hard on anything.
What he explained to us simply made sense that we needed to correct some ducting issues, etc.
He put together 3 different scenarios and explained what each feature did.
Did we end up paying more with our Larsen install? Yep. And we feel totally confidant with that.
Larsen is the Nordstrom of A/C companies. They are just that good in the way they take care of you.
Because chances are if you get a really good deal.....you'll end up paying for it in a short 8 years.
We have already handed out Larsen cards to our neighbors!
Larsen - can't tell you how happy we are to find a company we admire and have faith in!

We found ourselves potentially needing four new HVAC systems for our home.  We contacted several companies and looked at several different options.  After speaking with Claude, it was abundantly clear that he worked for a company who actually had a moral compass.   This was refreshing and welcomed!   He gave us a range of options and fair quotes.  We made a decision to go with Larson and that decision was just reinforced with the installers.  They were prompt, professional and respectful.....couldn't ask for more!  After using the same HVAC company for nearly 30 years, we were a bit nervous about changing gears, but Larson, thus far, has not disappointed.  The experience has been stellar and we look forward to working with them more in the future.

I obtained 5 quotes for my root top gas pack.  Although I did not go with Larson , I thought their evaluation was very thorough and they provided upgrade recommendations that made sense.  Larson's price was in the middle and I chose a less expensive option.   I would say Larson's honesty stood above the rest of the pack.

One of our AC units wasn't keeping up with cooling the house.  I called at around 11am on a Friday.  They scheduled a technician that day between 4-7pm.  The technician called before his arrival to give us an eta.  He arrived at 4pm.  After diagnosing the problem, he went over the costs so we had an idea of the charges before he did the work.  My son has contacts in the HVAC world.  He confirmed the pricing was fair.  Larson will be my go to going forward.

After 20 years, even though it was time, buying a new A/C unit stinks! Larson Air Conditioning, LLC. helped make the experience as pleasant as it could be. I've done my homework when our A/C went out, so now you don't have to! Starting with their prices, product knowledge and efficient and meticulous technicians to their unbeatable top notch level of service. They had constant communication and follow up through the entire process. Their Yelp perfect 5 star rating is well deserved. If you need A/C repair, I obviously highly recommend them. The AC unit in the apartment above our garage was noisy, leaking excessive condensation, and it was clearly aging. Larson Air Conditioning did a phenomenal job of replacing that unit with a far more efficient one. Their work was top notch and everything is now functioning perfectly. I would highly recommend this company for any HVAC needs in your home. They've certainly earned our future business when it comes time to upgrade our main AC units.

I cannot rate this higher than 5 stars, which is a shame.  This company was a pleasure to work with on every level.  After buying a new-to-us home here in the Scottsdale area, knowing hot weather is on its way, we decided to make sure the AC systems were going to be tuned up.  I come from the Pacific NW where AC is uncommon in residences, so I wasn't really sure where to start.
So I turned to Yelp, and y'all directed me.  That's how I found Larson AC.

Being a AC newbie, I went big and bought the premium 'cool kids' plan.  Why?  Because they advertise same day service if your AC goes out, and if it's anything like a furnace in the colder parts of the country, you know it's never gonna fail on a good day.  Now that we've had our first service, I'm glad I bought it for the incredible thoroughness.  First, their business communications are prompt and informative.  Scheduling was prompt, and Lyle was punctual.  As usual communications leading up to the appointment were as timely and professional as you'd like.  

Our tech Lyle had 2 pretty good-size systems to thoroughly inspect and clean, and he did so as methodically, meticulously, and timely as you could ask for.  He was congenial, wore mask and booties, was neat, and is great at explaining things.  We received a complete report, with pictures, on the health of both systems, all maintenance that was done, and any outstanding issues.  When he found a leak in the unit that had just been installed a couple months ago, he was immediately on the phone to the company that had sold it and done the install.  Since this is covered under the Home Warranty we He made sure I had all the information I would need to pass along to the home warranty company, and I know if I'm not satisfied with the company my warranty company uses for the repair, I will go straight back to Larson!

Nickel and Dime Exorbitantly!! I had them put in a whole new HVAC system last year - definitely overcharged but they had good rep. One year later. Motor is failing- charged $87 service fee. Then wanted to charge $440 FOR LABOR to put in a motor. PLUS $100 fee to get the part from office AND another $87 service fee. OVER $600 for a 20 min job. I don't pay my lawyer that much! Also. Tech showed up NO mask, NO gloves. SERIOUSLY? In times like these? I even had called the office to ensure techs would wear these. The tech said. Oh we only wear them if requested. Ya. I requested! Only then did he put one on. I also asked about a service plan and wanting them to change my filters as well during that time. Oh. That's an additional $200/yr. I paid the $87 for the visit and was SO DISAPPOINTED. If that's how you treat someone who spent a ton of $$ and believed in you 1 yr ago. (and I recommended them to everyone) ugh! I'd rather pay someone else to do the job. Gouging a loyal customer is disgusting.
- Update. --- Even the response by them is untrue!!! Filters were changed 6 mo prior. I don't deny I needed to change it. The motor failed. Fine. It needs to be fixed. It's the  outrageous prices is what is NOT ok. They only offered the no charge After I was appalled at the price and said no thank you. Never mentioned oh you're so close to warranty it was always you are OUT of the warranty They called to make it right and now the response on yelp is Nowhere near correct, because I didn't want to have a drawn out convo. I'm not about to argue.  But this is why I wouldn't want to accept anything even if offered in the end at no charge. Just shaking my head. Please take note of this response by them. It is very telling when trying to choose a good company. Hence the 1 star. (By the way, I've only posted 2 negative reviews ever- I am a big advocate for posting great experiences, and this was not)

We had a prior great experience with Larson AC, and contacted them to help get AC into our garage, which I use as an art studio.... They came up with a great solution and completed the work on a timely basis...and did a fantastic job!  Jamie is a great owner/operator, and ISH handled our business deal efficiently...  Pete, Brando & Mike did the install, starting at 6:00 AM for our convenience, and they finished the job in one day and I now have an extremely comfortable 72 degree ambient temperature in my studio/garage...Really great team, excellent products, and terrific follow-thru and support downstream...Highly recommend Larson!

I called Larson because the AC unit malfunctioned in a rental townhome.  They were able to send a technician the same day, which helps when it's still above 100 F in Phoenix.  The technician Sam arrived within the appointed time, diagnosed the bad capacitor, and was able to put the unit back into service.  I was not onsite but the Larson office and Steve made sure I was aware of the progress of the appointment and estimates through phone, text and email.  I've used Larson before at another rental, they make it easy to work with them.

I recognize that the service I had performed was an energy audit - not a maintenance or repair visit. The energy audit itself was performed well by the associate Victor who explained the process and concerns. My follow up visit after the audit was rather disappointing. Upon arrival arrival to my home (Friday) Victor was unable to pull up the report he had assembled for me. I understand technical glitches happen but I scheduled this follow up 2 weeks after the initial appointment on a day I had taken off work. What I was shown was a bid to replace the AC, vent cover, recessed lighting, and duct seals. Monday I sent an email requesting the full audit report - which was supplied. The report contained some pertinent information as well as the recommendations for those items mentioned above. I asked for number of questions and Victor was very professional and prompt in his responses. He even provided a revised bid for adding additional insulation to the attic.

What I found extremely disappointing was the fact that pictures were taken of the various aspects of my home and not provided until I requested them. Upon review of these images I noticed a leaking and corroded water heater as well as a disconnected condensation pipe on my roof. Again I understand this was an energy audit - but it is clear the intent of this audit is to encourage full up replacement of the air conditioner even though a repair (if required) may be the more appropriate solution. I.E. it's not a reasonable ROI to spend 4K on a new AC so you can save $200 a year. A thorough report would have said : hey client you can replace your equipment for $XYZ with 123 savings. If you choose not to do this we encourage you to conduct a maintenance service because we observed a number of concerning issues which are possibly contributing to energy inefficiencies.  Even a simple mention of the issues could have been a confidence promoting - I want to use this vendor - kind of experience. Instead I was left requesting the pictures and noticing myself some issues that needed to be addressed. With this kind of experience I called another business to perform my maintenance and to implement some of the proposed services. Again everyone was very courteous and prompt but the value and guidance I was looking for was not what I experienced.

This company is very well deserving of their 5 star rating. We got quotes from 4 other companies but ultimately selected Larson to replace a 31 year old heat pump and a considerable amount of old and shoddy ductwork from our flipped '70s ranch home.

Everyone we came in contact with, from the receptionist to their technicians were extremely professional and courteous in every interaction we had with them. We especially enjoyed working with Jeff - we had had multiple questions after he came out initially to spec the job as we were comparing quotes and making our decision, and he was always so quick to respond to our emails and answer our questions thoroughly, but never made us feel pressured us at all. I really got the feeling that Larson puts the customer's best interest first, and that is so important when making a large purchase. The technicians who were onsite for our install were very respectful of our home and cleaned up very well after themselves.

I also loved that they sent text message notifications 30 minutes in advance with a picture of the technician being dispatched.

The cherry on top was that they mailed us a hand written thank you card with a copy of the registered warranty following our installation. I felt we paid a very fair price for top quality service. I would highly recommend Larson for any of your HVAC needs!

Mike and Joel did an amazing job installing a new unit. They worked really hard in the heat. Ish was very honest during the sale process and sold us the equipment that would meet our needs. Lyle recommended us to change the unit. We were happy to learn that our new unit was made in the USA. When they left, everything was cleaned. We would only use Larson for our HVAC services. Our old unit broke on a Sunday, Larson called me back on Monday at 8am, Lyle came on Monday, Ish came on Tuesday and we had the unit installed today (Thursday 4pm). Amazing services for June in Arizona. Professionals and courteous. Thank you! :)

The best HVAC company there is. Office is prompt, timely, and kept us updated on the progress. The techs are amazing, Ryan & Victor wrestled with the system that two prior companies mess up, and fixed it, did not leave till they got it right and confirmed it working. Their boss was on the phone with them giving them instructions and troubleshooting with them. The price was very nominal.

After our two Trane heat pumps finally gave out after 32 years :-), I started shopping around for companies to give me bids. I got apples to apples comparisons on new Trane units and Larson came in $1,500 below their competitor's. In addition to being the lowest bid, I felt confident that they would do the best job on the installation due to the thoroughness of their sales manager, Ish Kissinger. The installers were great as well-on time, courteous, and thorough. Their customer service after the installation has also been outstanding-Ish even came over on a Saturday to bring a washable air filter for one of our new air handlers.

After having a great experience with their service tech before and many meetings with other HVAC companies in the valley we decided to bite the bullet and completely replace our very very old units in our new house. We ended up choosing Larson Air for many reasons.

1. The sales rep, Claude, was extremely polite and super helpful. He took numerous calls from me and my wife as we were doing our research and never once made us feel as if we were being annoying.

2. Though they weren't the cheapest of the bids, we felt they offered a well balanced price to value and made us feel very comfortable through the entire process.

3. We knew exactly who was coming and when. Their reminders are awesome and super accurate.

4. Lastly, but not least, they do truly take pride in their work. More on this below.

I can't write a review and not mention the not so great as well. After the install we noticed two things that were not quite right. The first one, and noticed during install, was the connection to the venting from the air handler wasn't fitted properly. They quickly agreed and had somebody out shortly after to adjust and properly connect things. The included install supervisor walk through is awesome and appreciated.

The second minor issue was the drain pipe was partially blocking the filter rack which made it very difficult to change the filter. A quick email and boom! Larson was ready to help correct the issue.

They have continued to earn my trust as a long term customer by ensuring my HVAC are running as they should be and that I can change the filters :) I trust them so much that I've signed up for their maintenance plans for my rental property and will do so with my new units after my initial year of maintenance (included with install) is up and feel very confident that my brand new units will run for ever with Larson being there to back them up!

My air conditioner was blowing warm air yesterday.  It started around 4:30pm, during the hottest part of the day.  I called Larson first, because they did such a good job designing and installing my duct work two years ago.  I'm very happy to update my previous review with another positive report.   They had someone finishing up another job nearby, so they were able to get him out to my house quickly.

Their technician, Ryan, had been on hot roofs all day, but when he got to my house he was courteous and ready to help.   I was impressed with his knowledge (he definitely knew his stuff!) and his ability to communicate.  He did a *very* thorough job diagnosing my AC issues and when he left, the problem was solved.  

Larson Air Conditioning is my FIRST CALL when I need AC service.  Don't hesitate to call them.  I know they'll take good care of you too!

I can't say enough good things about Lyle and Mike! We had a new ac unit installed (to replace one that was 40 years old) as well as new insulation and a host of other energy saving measures. They were prompt each morning (plus you get a call when they are 30 minutes out and an email with a photo of who to expect).  They were courteous and professional, but also really kept their work spaces clean with minimal disruption while we were home. Claude, our sales rep gave us some great options and ideas to help maximize the benefits of what we were buying. I chose Larson based on their good reviews online and now I know why they get them. I thought the price quoted for a repair ($3300.00+) or replacing the unit with a new one (4 ton $7000.00+) were outrages.  I called another company.  They had our heater up and running within an hour or so for a cost of $130.00.  Additionally, they quoted a 5 ton ac/heater for $5000.00 ALL IN.  Obviously, I will not be doing business with this company.

From the first phone call, all the way through the service call, I was impressed!  It's never a comforting feeling when your AC needs attention.  You expect the worst, hope for the best and pray that you don't get screwed in the process.  Lyle is a soft spoken professional who explained everything he was doing during the entire 4 hour visit.  Even through the diagnostics, he never once seemed bothered by the elusiveness of the problem.  His quiet approach kept at it until the culprit was discovered. Not once did I feel like he had no idea what he was doing.  In fact, it was the total opposite.  I felt he was very thorough, knowledgeable and competent. Can't recommend Larson Air Conditioning and their technicians Tim and Sam enough!  Our AC went out and we called Larson based on their great Yelp ratings. Tim showed up the next day and was extremely friendly and professional in diagnosing the issue and making sure our parts were covered under our warranty. Made an appointment for two days following and Tim and Sam showed up promptly and efficiently installed our new compressor.

Very impressed with this company's responsiveness and timeliness, but most of all their friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff.

We will certainly be calling again should we ever need additional service and recommending to our family and friends.

We need a new A/C unit and saw the great ratings from Larson's and decided to give them a call. Billy came out today to give us his recommendation and a quote. He was so honest and helpful. I shared the other 2 quotes I already received with him and he helped me compare the quotes apples to apples. He was very detailed and easy to understand. Billy really went above and beyond by doing more research on a unit another company was recommending to make sure it was good and he was so honest to tell us it was a good unit at a good price. Wow!

We ended up going with the company that provided us the lower quote for our new unit but I would still highly recommend calling Larson's for maintenance or to get a quote on a new unit.  It can be difficult to find an honest company with great service and they really seem to be just that.

Thanks to Yelp for another great find! Picking out an AC company in Phoenix is hit or miss. You can go with one of the larger companies, like the ones you see all of the TV commercials for, or do what we did: Use Yelp to find a local, family owned business that is honest and friendly. Larson Air Conditioning was trustworthy and truly great to work with. At first I though that their prices were a bit high, but then quickly realized that you get what you pay for. Their technicians do not work on a commission based business model, and as result they are not trying to sell you on every little thing and driving up the cost of the repair or service. We chose the Premium Plan and are happy knowing that we are covered for both the AC checkup in the spring and the heater checkup in the fall. Two weeks after they were out for the initial spring service, one of the units stopped working. They came out on a Saturday morning (no extra fee for a Saturday call) and quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad capacitor. Turns out that several SRP customers suffered a brown-out, which caused dozens of capacitors all over the valley to fail. The technician offered to fix it, or even suggested that I can fix it myself. I felt comfortable doing it myself as it is a very easy repair, so I paid him the service call fee and ran to a shop to get a new capacitor. It saved me hundreds of dollars!!! That's the benefit of hiring a company whose techs are not trying to sell you on every little thing so they can earn more commission. He was happy because it was an easy diagnosis, and I was VERY happy I fixed it myself. Thank you Larson Air for running an honest and trustworthy company.

On our first 100 degree day of the year we noticed our AC was running constantly, and after a few hours never got down to it's set-point.  The next day I made an appointment with Larson AC.  The appointment was made for 2 days out - but one of the technicians (Jay) was able to squeeze in the call the very next day.  Excellent communication by the office staff.
Very quick diagnosis and fix by Jay.  He is very polite, friendly and knowledgeable.
The service call was very reasonable, and the capacitor needed to fix our unit reasonable as well.
I highly recommend Larson AC, that is who I would call again in the future!

My rental home needed a new air conditioning system. I live out of state and know nothing about them!! I called several companies and also checked Yelp reviews. I was amazed how the quotes were thousands of dollars apart. I knew I didn't want the cheapest and I knew I didn't want the most expensive I wanted somebody fair, honest and knowledgeable. One company stood out!! Larson Air Conditioning, I spoke with Jared. Although they were slammed the day after Labor Day he managed to get somebody out there a couple of hours after I called. They texted to let me know who was coming (name and photo) and that they were in route!

I was blown away by how professional the quote was and how all the information is right there and easy to find and understand. I called Jared  a few times with questions and he was always available to talk to me and everybody that answered the phone was extremely nice and ready to help. At 5pm on Tuesday he was able to get technicians there the next morning to get the job done! I was so stressed out and Jared went above and beyond! Call and see for yourself!

I cannot recommend Larson Air enough.  After years of nothing but awful experiences in regards to our HVAC units we decided enough was enough and it was time to replace them.  After reading other reviews here on Yelp for Larson they were the first company I reached out to, and they responded in record time.  We had a project manager out the next day, and his thoroughness and professionalism absolutely amazed me. He gave me a litany of options for various price points and listened to every question and concern that I had to give me a great solution that worked for me and my budget.  It was a great experience and all but guaranteed they would receive our business.  Sure enough, after a few other quotes from other, probably larger local HVAC companies (read: ones advertised on TV and billboards), no one came close to the experience we received from Larson and they were able to get our install scheduled less than a week after our first meeting.  Truth be told, the pricing among all 4 companies that quoted this work for us were all very similar, so it was 100% the positive customer service experience we received from Larson that gave them our business.

Install was flawless, the technicians were perfectly on time each day and were amazingly efficient.  They were able to replace one unit each day so we had no issues with no A/C at night, and with a 3 year old that was a huge plus.  It should go without saying, but the two Trane units we installed were massive upgrades in every single way.  They are quieter, more energy efficient, and cool the house faster than I would have assumed possible.  The techs also did a great job cleaning up after each day and realistically we didn't need to clean up or vacuum except for one or two very minor spots.  

From start to finish, every single aspect of this project was flawless, which compared to the years of stress and anxiety from our old subpar units is fantastic.  Larson will be the only company I call for all of our HVAC needs, guaranteed, and I'll make sure all my friends and family follow suit.

I'm am posting this review as I hope the owner of Larson sees it.  I also would like the owner to give me a call to confirm that this feedback has been recieved.  

Lyle is phenomenal.  This is the second time that Lyle has visited my house to perform maintenance or service on my heating and cooling unit.  He did an analysis on the unit, performed predictive maintenance on the unit and explained the unit's current health to me.  He also installed a fancy new thermostat for me and set it up!  While here I explained to Lyle some concerns about the aging ductwork.  Lyle went into the attic and did a brief examination of the ductwork including taking photos so I didn't have to climb into the attic myself.  He showed me the photos and explained what he thought were the concerns.  After that he recommended an individual at Larson that is more knowledgeable than him about ductwork.  I respect the level of humility that he has to recommend another individual based on his perception of their overall experience being greater in that area.  Before this recommendation, my stance was only trusting in Lyle to perform maintenance and service on my system.  After this my stance is that of trusting Lyle and his recommendations.  Also, Lyle pointed out a concern he had with my condensation line.  This was of GREAT appreciation because the issue with the condensation line had a huge propensity to cause damage.  While here he fixed that issue and did so quite quickly!  You can tell just by the way in which he works that this man is incredibly skilled and takes great pride in his work and unfortunately its hard to find that these days.  He is an invaluable asset!  I know that my heating and cooling system is in great hands with Lyle and with 110+ temperatures throughout the summer, that's priceless.

We moved into our new house spring 2020.  We knew ahead of time the AC unit was on its last leg.   Last summer was awful.  The unit did cool, but only half of the house stayed at a decent temp, coils froze many times and the old unit was loud, you could hear it from a mile away, lol.  I was so stressed about surviving another summer with the old unit.  In Dec we decided it was time to consider replacing the unit.  We found Larson based on their great Yelp reviews.  We were not sure if we were ready to purchase yet, but we decided to have them come out for an estimate.  Ish did a very thorough overview of what we had going on.  He gave us an estimate of 4 different price points of new units along with prices of various options to help with energy efficiency.  It was nice to have options.  The proposals included installation and taxes, so there were no surprises at all on what the final price would be.  There was absolutely no pressure.  We decided to pull the trigger and move forward.   The installation was set up for a few days later.  Everything moved like clockwork.  The techs were prompt, professional,  thorough, efficient and friendly.   We love our new quiet unit.  They even have someone come by a week or so later to review the work done and to make sure we had no questions or issues.  This last week we decided to have them come out again and seal ducts and add blown in insulation into our attic.   Again, the techs that came out were awesome.   We are very pleased with the work done.  We are really looking forward to a nice cool summer :)  We would definitely use Larson for all future AC related needs.

Absolutely wonderful service! My AC went out as temps started to creep up so getting a new unit in quickly was important. Claude came out the next morning and gave me an honest estimate that was catered to what we needed. The price point was reasonable and as expected. There was absolutely no price gouging as I had experienced with another company. He went above and beyond with his technician in trying to access a difficult unit and was readily available by phone or email when questions arose. Mike did the install and he was prompt, clean and courteous as well. I really appreciated their honesty, clear communication and workmanship. I could not have asked for a better experience! Definitely recommend!

I scheduled Larson Air Conditioning to perform a service check and maintenance on both of our air conditioning units. Ryan showed up on time, and performed the most thorough inspection I have ever experienced. Ryan checked both units, performed some minor repairs, thoroughly tested both units, cleaned both units, and took the time to explain what's working well, what needed to be repaired, and what to watch out for, but didn't need repair right away. Everything was clearly explained with pictures of each item that was inspected/checked/repaired.

Also appreciated was the phone calls and text messages, keeping me looped in on exactly when Ryan would arrive. Our units are over 20 years old, and will need to be replaced at some point. Based on this experience with Larson Air, they have earned an opportunity to bid when we're ready to replace!

Having had my own business, I know the vital importance of Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction.  It is very rare that I am highly satisfied with companies that I/we have done business with and spent a lot of money for services rendered.  

Larson A/C met my satisfaction to the fullest.  I want to thank Ish, Doug, Mike, Victor (sorry I can't remember the other tech's name) for all that they did.  Everyone was friendly, polite, and the most informative people I have encountered.  Never was I rushed when we were discussing the issues. Everyone took the time to really cover the ins and outs of heat pumps and importance of correct installation.  I learned more from them than I thought I ever would know.  My problem stemmed from IMPROPER INSTALLATION by (Emergency Air) when I purchased the unit from them.  Larson's crew spotted the problem, offered several solutions or choices I could make, but suggested the least expensive way first to solve my issue.

I really appreciate all the pictures they took and sent to me, describing what all was taking place.  It was very refreshing to be sent pictures of who was going to come to my door and I really appreciated Doug keeping me informed immediately of issues and when things were going to be done.  Never has anyone called like that to inform each step.  Ish came by for a final inspection of the Elbow installation and also sent me pictures.

All I can say is, I wish I would have found Larson A/C when looking for a contractor for a new unit.  It would have saved me a lot of very uncomfortable, cold days and nights the last three winters, not to mention the cost of electricity with the unit running for hours just to gain a few degrees.

Today was the second day of work to replace a 5 ton and 3 ton ac/furnace system and reengineer ductwork to trouble spot. The entire experience was great from start to finish from the low pressure quote process to completion of the project. Claude, Mike, Brandon and entire crew did an excellent job. Left zero mess and a working system. I've been using larsons since I moved here five years ago. They always have a quick response time and do a great job. Thanks for being a reliable contractor!

I couldn't be happier I chose Larson Air. Everyone I came in contact with was friendly and courteous. It is very apparent the owners and employees care about their customers and providing excellent service while also remaining reasonably priced and straight forward. The process of replacing my unit was very smooth there were no issues and they were somehow very quiet while doing so, it was not as nearly as loud as I expected. They finished quicker then quoted and they triple check their work making sure everything is working perfectly that day as well as coming back a few days later. I couldn't be more pleased. Our A/C unit had not been serviced in a few years and since we had other major issues with our home recently we decided to obtain a preventative check-up with the A/C running all day and night in this stifling heat. Called and scheduled a timely appointment during this busy time of year for A/C services in the Phoenix area. Sam N came out to our home and was very pleasant. He thoroughly inspected the A/C units, found  a deteriorating disconnect, provided us with photos and replaced the old wires and box, in addition to a 24-point check and cleaning. Definitely peace of mind that the A/C had a thorough check. The one year service plan we obtained covers a second evaluation in 6 months plus priority emergency service and warranty. Larson is a quality professional company for your A/C/Heater care here in the Phoenix area, as others have attested to here on Yelp. Highly recommended based on this encounter!

Just went through an AC replacement, was drawn to this place based on the good feedback here. I needed this done at the start of the busy season. There were some initial scheduling snafus, but I got several estimates, they had the best equipment, the longest warranty, the best price and a one year zero percent financing deal. They also do quality control inspections at set intervals after a new install. This project turned out to be fairly complicated and had an unexpected pipe problem and they offered me a discount to get that fixed as well. I will call upon them again when the second unit goes and would highly recommend them and support all the good things said here.

I love that they communicate the day before by email and send a text when they are in the way. Mike and the crew of installers were great and left everything nice and clean. They even swept the garage from the insulation dust that was left behind.

He is polite, explains things to you, and is through. This is now my company for all my air conditioning needs. Sometime when I see a lot of 5 stars I wonder if they are real. My units were 22 yrs old and I got three different quotes to replace them. Larson was the most reasonable, did not pressure me and were very responsive the entire way through the process. I had to set nearly everything up for installation and financing while out of town and they were great as far as keeping in contact and being flexible and accommodating. I liked that they would text with a photo of the technician before they arrived and were willing to come to my house to finish documentation and even to do the rebate for me! All the staff from Eli, Bruno, Doug, Claude, Rick ( I know I am missing one of the installation technicians, sorry!) were wonderful! I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

There is a reason that Larson is the top rated HVAC contractor in town.  I was looking for a contractor to do a tune up of our nearly 20 year old AC units and couldn't help but stop and take a closer look at Larson given its Yelp reputation.  I'm sure glad I did!

From the moment I called to book an appointment all the way through my service appointment, the customer service and attention to detail have been top notch.  Jamie was very pleasant on the phone and went over several tune up options.  She even took the time to ask for my wife's name and phone number since she knew that my wife was likely to be the only one home at the time of the appointment and wanted her contact info to keep her informed.

The technicians were great.  When my second air handler couldn't be located in the attic, they took the time to scour the property until they discovered a secret room behind a door on my roof.  I had no idea it was even there; nor did any HVAC contractor that I'd used before (previous companies would just skip that portion of the inspection).

After the tune up, the techs went over the performance with me.  Despite the units being so old, they never once urged me to spend any money on unnecessary repairs.  I asked them to put together quotes for me so I can start planning for the AC system replacement.  They provided me with a quick quote on the spot, and Jamie offered to work up several additional options so that I can best decide how to proceed.  She even researched all available rebates from the AC unit manufacturer and APS to ensure I don't miss anything.

Folks, I don't often review companies on Yelp unless the work is really good or really bad.  Trust me, Larson is a world class HVAC contractor and you can tell that they pride themselves on providing outstanding quality and customer service.  As long as I live in Phoenix, I've found my HVAC contractor.

We had an old unit, over 10 years old, that needed to be replaced. Larson AC came in with a competitive quote AND even added extra work not provided by other companies. They were very informative, told us a bit about the company (without being over preachy), and were not pushy to get the sale.
Fortunately, they were able to squeez us in within two weeks since we were having roofers come out in exactly 2 weeks. Not something they could normally do leading up to the busy season, but they managed to do it. These guys worked quick, were clean, professional and we recommend them to anyone!

One of my A/C units was not working. I called on a Friday morning before a holiday weekend, and was able to get an appointment later that same afternoon. The technician called ahead of time to let me know that he was ahead of schedule, and asked if it was ok to come early, which was great. He arrived shortly, wearing a mask (good!). He diagnosed the problem, resolved it quickly, and my house was cool again in short order. Fast, friendly, professional service, reasonable price. I have used Larson a couple of times in the past, and I will continue to use them for all future A/C needs. I highly recommend.

After 20 years, even though it was time, buying a new A/C unit stinks! Larson Air Conditioning, LLC. helped make the experience as pleasant as it could be. I've done my homework when our A/C went out, so now you don't have to! Starting with their prices, product knowledge and efficient and meticulous technicians to their unbeatable top notch level of service. They had constant communication and follow up through the entire process. Their Yelp perfect 5 star rating is well deserved. If you need A/C repair, I obviously highly recommend them. Had issues this past weekend regarding my AC and decided to give Larsons a call.  

Issue: our downstairs wasnt cooling, but upstairs was fine. Then it suddenIy started cooling again and has been since.  

I spoke with Jamie and explained to her my issue. She was very attentive, courteous, and worked around my family/job schedule.  Once our technician arrived (Colorado) tested our system, explained everything in detail, and ran his diagnostics. He checked voltage, dampeners, fuses, etc.  He went up in the attic and explained to me all he done.  It was more a piece of mind for me that a professional have it checked out and luckily all past.  He did make a few changes, and tweaked and cleaned areas where it may have been stressing out my ac unit.  I am so pleased and very happy with Larsons.  From beginning to end, the service was top notch and very hands on with customer.  A+ Thank u Jamie & Colorado for making this seamless, and pain free :) !!

You will not find a better customer experience with any other company, period. The initial phone call to Larson answered all of my questions in an efficient manner but never once did I feel like I was being sold. The onsite technician was equally professional and even went out of his way to explain that no replacement was needed for the time being. You simply don't find companies like this anymore. I had an exceptional experience with Larson Air. Great communication from the initial quote (requested through Yelp) all the way through the service visit today. They were not the cheapest option when I was quoting maintenance prices, but the reviews I read from other providers made me think some of the lower cost providers may look to make up the difference on the back end with additional work. I needed one unit repaired and asked that the other two (one mini split) also have the standard maintenance done on this visit. The tech took care of everything in just under three hours, including giving me a quick lesson on how to take care of the mini split on my own to save some money given the simplicity of the unit. I was impressed in all of my interactions with Larson from the initial quote discussion with Jaime, to the scheduling calls, and finally the tech visit today. Great company.

We were told by an AC company selected by our home warranty company that we had little to no insulation in our home. Larson AC sent Jason out to do a free inspection and provide us with a quote at which time not only did he let me know that the amount of insulation was good, he also took pictures to show me. He was thorough, courteous and wore foot protection so that he didn't track anything in and out of the house. I highly recommend this company and will refer them to family, friends and clients. In short, these guys rock!

We just scheduled them for our winter service and were blown away! From the time I booked the appointment, they were very professional and went out of their way with communication. The day of the appointment, they emailed me the profile of the tech who would be showing up.  Then, they email you when the tech is on his way and his estimated arrival. Josh and Jared showed up, took their time performing what is their Premium Service, and was I amazed. While they were on the roof, I got pictures and even a short video of the things they found.

This is definitely NOT the normal Kick test performed by most AC companies. I can't say enough god things, and highly recommend them!!

We just installed two new Trane HVAC systems.  We interviewed and had bids from three companies, all three came to our home and did a site visit and presentation.  Larson was clearly the best in so many ways:
knowledge of product, recommendations, quality of team and they had a great proposal and price.  Bart Thompson was our lead sales and project manager and he kept all promises made in the buying and installation process.  We were out of state when the systems were installed and we could not be happier with Larson's and Bart's delivery.   Usually the anxiety goes up after you sign a contract but with Larson you can rest assured you will get what was promised.

They quoted me $1775 for a blower motor for my air conditioning unit. I thought that was too expensive so I started calling other companies with the part number that I needed. I found two different companies that would do it for a lot less. One for $750 and one for $650 (both 5 star rated companies on yelp). I told Larson air this over the phone and she said it was because they have a warranty on their part. I told her having a warranty on your part and labor for something that would take 1-2 hours to put in costs $1000.  She didn't really want to talk to me anymore and gave me the serial # of my unit that I asked for.   They told me over the phone when I first hired them but they have a great reputation and never try to rip anybody off that's why they charge an $80 service fee that they don't take out if you actually get  your air conditioner fixed.  So I decided to go with them because they have such great reviews on yelp. I will never use this company again they tried to rip me off.  Find someone else.

I needed a new AC and picked Larson because of the reviews and I'm so happy I did. First of all Ish was great!!!! He came out did a system evaluation and walked me through all the options of new air conditioners and financing. He also came out on day 1 of install to make sure everything was as ordered. The install team Mike and Bruno were absolutely awesome!!!!! These guys worked hard to do a complete gut and install of two AC units and blowers. I hardly knew they were here (except my dogs barking lol). They worked clean and neat and made sure I was satisfied.  These guys were very respectful and all around great team. Larson has a great team from the time you call all the way through until the job is complete. I highly recommend Larson.

We had a new heating system and two new air conditioners installed by Larsen Air Conditioning. This is a top notch organization from beginning to end. Our first appointment with sales occurred within a few days of placing our call. Ish was our sales guy, very professional and knowledgeable. After taking an hour to thoroughly evaluate our current systems, he explained the different options and their benefits in a way that even someone like me, who has no knowledge of A/C could understand. He answered every question my husband threw at him. Once we agreed to go with Larson air, they were able to start the job in a week. The installers arrived on time, were very professional, upbeat and kind, especially Mike and Brandon. My husband told them how picky he was and Mike was on it, not intimidated at all. They got along famously! Awesome guys! They laid down tarps and were careful to keep things as clean as possible. The job was finished in three days. A week later Mike and quality control guy came out to inspect everything. The systems are remarkably efficient, they cool and heat our home much faster than the old systems. We are extremely happy with our new systems and would recommend Larson Air in a heartbeat!

If we could give Larson more than a 5 star rating we would because they deserve it.
Jamie follows up on appointments not just for the installation but also the summer and winter check up/ inspections which are included with ever new installation.
What impressed us was she not only followed up with emails but personal phone calls as well. In addition to Jamie, the technicians were outstanding. They took the time to answer all of our questions and made the extra effort to be careful when performing their duties and cleaning up afterwards. You don't find many companies that have such personalized customer service.

This is a highly professional company, that is fantastic to work with. We own a condo in Scottsdale and asked them to assist our tenant whose AC was not working. Mind you it was June and over 120'. Larson was the only company who worked the problem systematically.  First, they did a performance review of our existing equipment.  The components were made by 3 different manufacturers and installed over a 20-year span of time.  In short, they did not, and could not, work very efficiently together.

Next Larson did a Manual J calculation.  This is essentially an engineering study to determine how much supply needs to go to each room in the home and whether there is enough return to circulate cooled or warm air.  They modified our design to provide ample air to our kitchen and family room and recirculate it so we have more consistent temperatures throughout the house.

Larson's technicians arrived on time, worked efficiently, were polite and CLEANED UP when they left our home.  They are completing the attic insulation today.

Our situation is an extreme.  Most people won't have the deficiencies in their systems that we did.  However, if Larson can wrestle this mess to the ground, they can help you too.

My list of adjectives for Larson:  knowledgeable, professional, courteous, timely and tidy.

I will write a follow up review next summer when hot temps return.

After calling 3 other companies (who never even returned my call/message after 2 days) to fix our heater, I contacted Larson Air Conditioning this morning.  Fully expecting them to say I would have to wait at least 1-2 days for a repair person, they told me that they could come out today.  They were friendly, professional and charged a fair price.  They arrived in a timely manner and called when they were on their way.  We were very impressed and plan to use them for future A/C needs.  Thank you for your help today!

In my 9 years of being a YELP Elite, I cannot recommend a company, restaurant, or business more highly than this one! Yes... 11 stars. Courteous and friendly all the way, and super professional upon arrival. Probelm was solved in 20 minutes, and I really felt bad job was so simple! Here is the second day of our new A/C heating unit being install. We also are updating all the duct work, and blowing new installation in the rafters. I'm so happy  to of hired Larson Air. They have been amazing! There team sealed every crack/hole in my home making it air tight. I am so grateful to have found them on yelp.  Because they have the best customer service and go up and beyond for delivering customer satisfaction. The crew is genuinely caring, and very hard workers. I would hire them for future jobs  100% percent. I also had them do a energy audit, before they started work on my home. I cannot wait to see the results on the 31st of how much energy and money I will save by this update. This is a great company. I made an appt with them and they got me right in. Then they sent a email to confirm and a text with a picture of the person when he was on his way.
Ryan Clendenin did a fantastic job of servicing all 3 of my units. He was very knowledgeable and got right to work. When he was done he showed me all of the before and after pictures which was great to see. I've used them before and I had a great experience then as well.

I called this morning for a problem with water leaking from the drain line of my blower unit and they sent someone out within 3 hours of my call.    The lady on the phone was super sharp and very responsive.    

Derek arrived at my home and performed a complete inspection and cleaning of both a/c systems and he also fixed the drain problem.   Derek is super personable and gave top of the line customer service.   I cannot recommend this company enough!

I've had several experiences with Larson Air Conditioning. First, I called them to diagnose an issue with my old A/C unit. They were able to come out the very same day. They fixed my problem on the spot (for a very low service call fee) and offered an optional tune up, which I declined.

A few weeks later, I requested a proposal for a new system. Jason came over and inspected my home and existing system to complete the Manual-J load calculation and discussed several options with me for a replacement A/C system. After answering some of our questions over the next few days of mulling it over, we made a decision and scheduled the install of a new split a/c system and furnace.

Rick and Axel completed my install. They showed up on time, worked quickly, quietly, and efficiently, and they were very friendly and professional. I've been enjoying my new system for over a month now, and have no regrets.

It's important to note that at no point did I ever feel I was getting a sales pitch. No pressure at any time - the initial repair, the new system proposal, or any point in between. All of that for a fair price is hard to find in the Phoenix area. Trust the many 5 star reviews on yelp. Larson is legit.

Of course its 97 degrees out and my AC went out after traditional hours.  Messaged Larson through Yelp and they replied fairly quickly and started the process to set up an appointment.  
The next morning an appointment was set up for between 3-6p.  While I wasn't looking forward to most of my day and my animals in the heat I understood that the world cant drop what they're doing and wait on me hand and foot at my whim.
3p came and I got a call from the technician saying that he was on his way and gave an estimated time of arrival.  I also got a text/email of his name and picture from the main office so I knew what to expect and that he was legit.  Nice touch!
He arrived and put plastic booties on his boots while in the house (my wife LOVED that) and had my problem diagnosed and fixed within 15 minutes.  It was a simple capacitor that had gone dead and it was an easy fix.  He didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need or pull a fast one.
VERY happy with the service and would recommend to family and friends.

Larson Air replaced my old AC unit last summer. The unit that they initially installed had a bad compressor so they ended up having to take it down and put a new one in (and they were on my roof troubleshooting the first AC until late on a Friday evening). Having to wait a week to get the replacement was a bummer (it was August!) but I understand that this kind of thing happens. It's been almost a year and the new unit is great. I've also appreciated the included check-ups that the AC has received over the last 12 months, too - Ryan has been the employee checking in on the unit and he's professional and courteous and has gone above and beyond to address questions that I've had. Would definitely recommend.

I recently purchased a new home built in 1944 and have interacted with LOTS of service and repair persons along my remodel journey. Larson Air Conditioning came out and performed my APS energy audit where vermiculite ie. asbestos was discover in my attic. While he had to halt the audit due to safety concerns, the technician Jason went above and beyond by recommending a few testing companies and following up with me to check in. Although I did not ultimately choose Larson Air Conditioning for insulation and other ENERGY STAR services, I will definitely consider them when it's time to replace my AC unit in the future.

This review is based on my experience with the sales adviser.  I had comfort issues in an older home we just moved into.  I called the major reputable companies in my local area with good reviews-Howard Air, Day and Night, Hobaica(worst).  I was frustrated as each of the advisers said they would follow-up, and none would.  Probably a busy time of the year-before summer and the scope of work was complicated.  Jason Waller from Larson Air was the only adviser who took the time to follow-up and bring his service manager Dean to trouble shoot the problems.  They showed up on time and were clean and professional.  The scope of the work needed in my home would eventually involve a General Contractor.  I would recommend giving Larson Air a chance to earn your business.

Larson was great from the appointment set-up through the tune-up service. Both the office and the technician explained that the appointment would take longer than a normal tune-up. Josh, the technician explained all the work in detail. Their diagnostics indicated that a couple of things on my gas-pack needed to be tweeked. They changed the fan speed and moved a sensor to the sunny side of the unit, finished the normal tune-up tasks and it all checked out great. They are way more tech savvy than others in this category. Invoices are electronic. Payment was electronic. A nice feature was that the office sent an email with the technician's photo and bio when he was on his way to my house. It was a pleasant surprise. I was very happy with the company and their service, and will use them again.

These guys are the best!!! The a/c units in our home were nearly 18 years old. We have 2 upstairs bedrooms that cannot be used in the summer months because they are so ridiculously hot. We decided to bite the bullet and start shopping around for new units before the summer. We had 3 different companies come out. Originally my husband just wanted to go with Brewer's because they had done all the repairs at our previous house. Since I knew we were going to be spending $20k + since we have 2 units, I wanted to shop around and hear what companies had to say about our hot rooms. Brewer's came out first. They didn't check a single thing in our house! They looked at our outside units and then gave us a recommendation. Their quote happened to be $10k more than the next 2 quotes. We had another company come out and then Larson's. Both companies spent time up in the attic evaluating the ductwork, the existing systems and the overall house. Both had very similar recommendations and their quotes were nearly the same. Larson's quote included sealing around all the vents. We chose Larson's over the other company because we knew they would stand by their work since it's their name and business. Often times with bigger companies they lay blame on others when something goes wrong. With Larson's you are actually dealing with the owners!!
We had our 2 new units installed a month ago. Everything went smoothly and we now have 2 additional bedrooms that can be used all year long yay!!! I honestly cannot say enough nice things about everyone at Larson's. They are quick to respond to emails and voicemails. They show up when they say they are going to, and take pride in the work they do- very rare this day in age! I would highly recommend them to everyone- whether you need a new unit or just a tune up! These guys are the best!!

Update- APS just came out to do an evaluation on the ductwork sealing that Larsons did in order to receive the APS rebate. They confirmed what we already knew. They said everything tested perfect and they were really impressed with the quality of work that Larsons performed!

Also, Jared was out to adjust the dampers and explained that we should have our thermostats set on fan circulation at all times instead of auto. Doing that circulates the air through the new purification system at all times. Just a few days after making that adjustment on our thermostat we already see a significant decrease in the amount of dust!! We have a lot of dark wood furniture, mirrored furniture and dark wood floors. I'm constantly dusting because it shows so badly with our decor. I think I'm more excited about not dusting so often than I am about lower energy bills!

This company is more like 10 stars!

These guys are awesome. I own a few businesses and as a business owner I can truly appreciate their customer service. Jamie is quick to respond through Yelp messaging (even when they are closed - thanks Jamie). They were able to give me an estimate on the spot (others I had to wait for days to get it) and their prices were reasonable. Colorado was very professional during the inspection and then again during the install. Our AC unit was working fine it was our ducting that was falling apart. I contacted Larson to install a smartthermostat we'd been given as a gift (meaning we weren't convinced this was something we needed or wanted). Jamie was very efficient in scheduling - we received both a call and a text the morning of the appointment (it was nice having a picture of the technician). Victor arrived with another technician (apprentice, I assume). BOTH were professional, polite, and personable. They proceeded to install the thermostat and were extremely helpful in answering questions, showing us how it works, etc.

We have had issues with our AC for several years and have a Home Warranty. Frustrated that they never seem to really fix the problem, I decided to call Larson. I am glad I had a reason to call Larson Air again and they did not disappoint!  We scheduled their Bi-Annual service for our house and another rental house we own.  The office called/emailed back to every question in the booking process almost immediately.  We received reminders the day before and the day of.  The Tech (Chase) also called ahead to let us know how far away he was and what time he'd arrive.  The text reminder even had a picture of the Tech which is a nice feature!  Chase was great, took care of our maintenance and recommended some additional service we may want to consider (we took him up on it!).  He pointed out an unsealed duct/elbow on the roof which was an error made by the company who installed the new unit for us in which we were able to call that company to get someone out to fix the mistake.  Without scheduling routine maintenance, we may have never found the leak and been blasting cold air into the sky!  Pricing was competitive and we'll have them back out in the Fall/Winter for the next service on the heating portion!

Josh and Flavio showed up promptly at our early morning appointment to provide an estimate on a potential leak in our HVAC ducts.  In removing a vent from the ceiling to investigate, there was a very small area of paint that peeled away from the ceiling (despite scoring a line around the vent to prevent peeling).  Their investigation determined that there was no work for Larson to quote on.  As such, it would have been easy for the two of them to continue on and just reinstall the vent without acknowledging the pealing paint, but they asked if we had any paint to fix the small blemish.  We provided the paint and they fixed the issue immediately.  

The entire visit was pleasant and they treated our home with great care (as if it were there own).  In my opinion, Josh and Flavio were true professionals and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.  Sometimes it is hard to find people that care, Josh and Flavio really did care.

My first experience with Larson was today. I called around noon and my furnace was fixed by 4:15 at a reasonable price. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant, efficient, and professional. My furnace is 30 years old and I was steeling myself for someone trying to sell me a new unit. No one went down that road. Working with Larson was truly a wonderful experience. I found Larson via Yelp and Angie's List, and was down to selecting between an HVAC company that came highly recommended by neighbors or going with Larson.  Based on my interview experience and discussions with both companies, my instinct was to choose Larson but it was difficult to stray from who those around me recommended!  I can say, with full confidence, that choosing Larson was the right way to go.

From the beginning, Jared and his wife - co-owners of the company - were extremely honest, efficient, good communicators, and fair in discussing our needs and making a competitive bid on the project.  Everything, from scheduling the replacement of our HVAC system to install, went smoothly.  Their techs were on par in terms of their excellence, both in their expertise and also in being so personable.  Everything went well, and Larson has been just as responsive with follow up questions and concerns after they finished install (which, I think, is just as important as how things go initially!).

My AC had lost a little bit of a step.  I figured it was a dirty coil or low on freon.   So I wanted the coil cleaned the the Freon checked as well as a checkup on my ac as it had been on the roof about 9 years with nothing done to it.   I got a lot of bids by sending out requests on Yelp.  Larson's had good reviews and I prompt responses from Jamie in writing answering all my questions.   I found a number of people that I put in a bid were unwilling to answer my questions especially in writing.    They were not the least expensive bid  for these services they charged 85 and the cheapest bid was for 65.   I chose Larson because they had better reviews than the one that was offering the same services for 65.   The tech called me 30 min before he showed up as requested.  When he showed up he parked on the street showing respect in case my wife came home and wanted to use the driveway.  Colorado Johnston  was polite and professional. He also took care with my ac on the roof.  Some items I noticed was he was careful not to step on the drain pipe, he made sure he was not stripping screws as he put them back in and he put caps back on after checking the Freon level.   He got right to work checking things out.   I had a special request for him to take before and after pics of the coil as I did not want to get on the roof.  He spent about a hour working on my ac.  He found one very small extra issue with my ac and fixed it without charging me.  In the end 85 very very well spent.  A honest company based on my experience that I would gladly due business with again.  Payment is done on there Ipad.  I have added the photos of before and after of the Coil for those that may be interested.

Larson AC recently replaced a 20+ year old split AC/Heat system in my house located in Cave Creek, AZ.  The entire purchase-to-install experience was extraordinary. My first contact was with Jaime who was very pleasant and professional.  She set-up the appointment for the sales person,Todd Alger, to come out to the house to provide an evaluation and quote a Lennox system.  Todd was very knowledgeable, professional and a genuinely nice guy.  He explained the components of the system, answered all my questions and followed-up with quotations for 3 different systems that evening, as promised.  Larson's quotation was comparably priced but the reason I chose them is because of their professionalism and of course, their favorable Yelp reviews.  The next phase, the install, was just as satisfying.  The crew (Josh, Victor and Flavio) showed up as scheduled. All were very courteous and engaging. Josh explained the installation approach and kept me informed of their progress throughout the day.  The job was completed at about 7:00pm that evening. Josh provided instructions on how to use the WI-FI thermostat and the system was tested.  The crew cleaned up the entire work area before leaving.  

I highly recommend Larsen to anyone that is replacing their AC system or repair/maintenance  work on existing AC/Heat.

I have used Larson Air in the past and had a great experience with them. I have purchased two Trane air conditioners and a Trane heating system from them. This time I unfortunately had a very negative experience. I was given a quote from Art Schieffer one of their salespeople to install an air conditioning unit at a price of $4,477. After signing the quote and after Art said he would call me in the morning with the install date, Art called me back to gouge me for more money. He said that he wanted 500-600 more dollars to complete the install or it wouldn't be done. I told him that this was unethical business practices to ask for more money after I had already signed his paper and he started yelling at me over the phone. I promptly told him to have the owner of the company call me and hung up. In addition to Art's disrespectful attitude, the owner of Larson Air told me that he would not be bullied into a decision. I hardly believe that reporting unethical business practices in the proper place to be bullying behavior. The owner refused to honor his signed paper.

This company is TOP NOTCH. The technicians are knowledgeable, sharp, honest, and determined to find out what is wrong. What's reassuring is that they will tell you upfront that they have never left a job without giving an accurate diagnosis. And that sure is the truth, thankfully! We called Larson after having had another vendor out to the house who obviously could *not* figure out what was happening w/ our system. What a waste of time and money! Larson's technicians diagnosed it within about 30 minutes. They had the system fixed the same day. What I also appreciate is the fact that they didn't try to upsell us and/or tell us that our units needed to be replaced in addition to needing 100 other things done to our existing units. I feel they are professional, honest, and GREAT at what they do. Jamie, who did my scheduling, was also top notch to interact with, she was wonderful!

So glad I picked Larson Air Conditioning! I like to support family-owned businesses; Lyle from Larson Air did an awesome job. He was very knowledgeable and did a thorough and efficient job in a courteous and friendly manner. There was water leaking from the air handler causing damage to the wall behind it. The only thing wrong really was that the drainage pipe from the condenser was filled with sediment. A couple summers ago, we had the same thing happen but the repairman from another company only cleaned the drip pan. I didn't know he should also have cleaned out the drainage pipe. But Lyle cleaned out everything. He did a very thorough job of also cleaning the outside and inside coils and checked all other parts. He explained the maintenance plans Larson Air had available. I hadn't planned to get one, but I was glad to learn of them and after learning the services provided at a reasonable cost, I was glad to buy one. Although I knew that the AC should have regular maintenance, I didn't know what it would entail or what the cost would be. I highly recommend Larson Air Conditioning.

I had Larson Air Conditioning as the APS selected contractor to do a home energy audit on the house I just moved into. Victor came out and was prompt, courteous and thorough. He did a full audit and scheduled a review visit to go over the results. He prepared a very complete report that included photos of my home's trouble spots and went over everything in detail, including an itemized price quote to have them do the necessary fixes and improvements. I decided to have them do the work even though much of it could be done by a DIYer, because they are the experts. Lyle and his partner came on and did all the improvements. They were also courteous and thorough and explained what they were doing all along the way. Victor then came back for a follow up appointment to check on the work and do some before and after testing to see if the work accomplished the energy efficiency improvements we were after. Every aspect of the project was well done and the attention to detail and quality of their employees was outstanding. I will certainly call Larson Air Conditioning when I need to replacement my system.

We became familiar with Larson Air because SRP assigned Larson to our home to conduct an energy audit that we requested. A little background about the audit: SRP offers a $99.00 audit (which I later learned usually runs $400.00+); when I first read about the offer, I was skeptical of both the usefulness of an audit and any contractor that we might get assigned to our home, but our curiosity overrode our skepticism. Here's the summary of that process: I'm now a convert to having an audit done, and to working with Larson. The audit was fantastic, and Larson Air made the experience a real pleasure.

Now for working with the lovely people at Larson. After SRP assigned them to our audit, but before I spoke with them, I looked at the reviews here. As I said above, I was skeptical of potential contractors. But the reviews here on Yelp were stellar, so I was hopeful. Then I spoke with Jamie. She was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable; moreover, she seemed enthusiastic about what an audit could do for us. I explained to her that we are aware that we don't have an efficient a/c or pool pump, but that we were not in the market at this time to replace either; that instead, we were interested in finding out problems with our home that we could solve with less expense than replacing an a/c. She didn't seem annoyed by the fact that we weren't planning to use them to replace our a/c, which was gratifying (but I was still concerned that once we had the audit done, the person doing the audit would try to pressure us into making such a purchase).

She set up the appointment and told me that the process would take 3-5 hours. After I got past my initial stunned reaction-- I really expected a quick run-through of our house with some basic hints--e.g., change your light bulbs to LEDs. You really need a new a/c. Put some insulation in your roof. Good-bye.-- I told her that my dad would probably be in town visiting and would like to watch. I was prepared for her to express some doubt or annoyance, but she brightened up and said, We encourage people to walk around with technicians and see what they're doing and what they find! She was not wrong on either count. The process took a little longer than 5 hours, and the technician encouraged my significant other (S.O.) to walk around with him. My S.O. thoroughly enjoyed the process, and thoroughly enjoyed talking with John, our knowledgeable and helpful technician.

Why did the process take 5+ hours? Because John brought all kinds of equipment, including infrared cameras, and a fake door with a fan in it! He put the fake door in place of our front door, and then used the monstrous fan to pull a draft through the entire house so we could see where all the leaks are. (Oh, there are many. So.Many.) He crawled around in the attic. Poked around here, there, and everywhere. Looked at every possible factor relating to energy efficiency. And when he was finished, he had fantastic recommendations. What about the hard-sell for a new unit? None. Not a bit. He said, I know that yall aren't in a position to replace your a/c or pool pump at this time, so here's what you can do now. Wow. Seriously? No pressure? Again, stunned.  

But wait -- that's not all. John sent a follow-up email and asked for our 12-month SRP usage; once we get those data to him, he will then complete a full audit report and send it to us.

One other nice touch: on the day of the appointment, I received both an email and a text that included the name and photo of the technician who would be arriving. That's a reassuring approach that lets one feel more comfortable about opening the door to someone one hasn't met before.

If we ever  need a/c work done that's not covered by our home warranty, we will use these wonderful people. And I will be recommending them to anyone who needs work done.

Bottom line: If SRP is your electrical-utility supplier, take advantage of the energy audit. And cross your fingers that you get Larson Air. They are knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely lovely people with whom to work.

Just a few words to agree with everyone else. Leo came over and was a very professional air conditioning tech. Had a 6 month check on the a/c's done. While Leo was doing that, my neighbor said to get the start capacitors installed. I felt like a deer in the headlights. Leo explained what the capacitors did and I had him go ahead and install them. Leo is the best a/c tech that I have had come to my house. Outstanding representative for Larson Air. I will stay with them. Can't go wrong. Thanks Leo!

I hadn't had my HVAC looked at in several years, so when I got an offer from APS of a partial rebate for a detailed inspection, I jumped on it. Of all the companies listed, only Larson had a Yelp presence, and a good one it was. Sold! Nor was I disappointed. When tech Joshua was on his way here (right on time), I received an emailed notice including a photo and brief bio. Wow! When he summoned a second tech, I got that notice, too. Down from the roof, Josh showed me photos he'd taken to support his recommendations. (Seems my system had not been installed correctly and has been leaking air both in and out for years.) The two techs did the needed sealing work on the spot and did the paperwork for the rebate before leaving. Seriously, how could this service have been better?

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. EVER.
Promised appointments that 'conveniently' never materialize.  
I moved my travel arrangements around specifically for this appointment.
I have EMAILED/WRITTEN CONFIRMATION and a WORK ORDER number.
How convenient that they weren't available for a call when they clearly KNEW they were NOT going to make it.  I don't find any coincidence in this issue whatsoever.
Jamie is a joke as it relates to customer service.  Her title on her signature line? Managing Member.  REALLY?  MANAGING WHAT? Horrible Customer Service. That's what.

Jamie came over and worked for over 3 hours on our 3 a/c units.  I'm used to being told that many things are wrong and need fixing.  Larson A/C didn't do that.  He mentioned one part that needed replacing and didn't want to put the wrong part on for me, so he ordered it and came back on a Saturday afternoon to install it.  Offered to give me the old part back too, to prove he'd replaced it.  Top notch work.  Very professional.  I'd highly recommend.

Fast and honest service!  Very nice and professional guys came out to work on my unit...ended up being a simple problem and they told me what I needed to do (change the air filters...I am not the most savvy home owner).  I will definitely be calling them for future service.

I am so pleased with the service of this company and especially the technician that came to our home. His name is Colorado and he was thorough, polite, timely, knowledgeable, patient, etc... I could go on. We are renters and are working with in the restrictions of our landlord who is out of state. Colorado was more than willing to spend time with myself and THEN my husband when he got home explaining what was wrong with our AC in detail. He also spent more time with our landlord and then our landlords brother. Testing the true patients of a human being! He remained calm and patient. They came to a decision and he fixed the AC. So far it's working great. Will update. But mostly this post is about exceptional customer service.

I suspected we needed new AC but hoped we could survive another Arizona summer without one.  Nothing like a failure on a 105+ degree weekend to prove me wrong.  I asked three service providers to bid the job and what a difference Larson makes!  Bart in sales was thorough and patient, answering my questions and explaining everything clearly.  Tony in service was great, coming out right away to confirm the site conditions and ensuring our new unit will go in without a problem.  The installation happened today, within a week of the estimate and I couldn't be happier with the result.  Everything happened EXACTLY on time and EXACTLY on the price we were quoted.  The job was done quickly, cleanly and the crew were friendly and respectful.  In terms of price they were in the middle but the level of service and communication you can expect from Larson was far above the middle.  New AC isn't cheap but I think you get what you pay for.  In the case of Larson, I got more than I paid for - no question.  Highly recommend!

What an amazing company with which to work! When we first moved into our home in Carefree, about a year ago, my husband installed a NEST thermostat.  It seemed to be working until it was time to use the furnace and we couldn't get any hot air.  Based on Yelp reviews, my husband decided to call Larson and they were extremely responsive.  After looking at our NEST system, they diagnosed that it had been installed it incorrectly.  They immediately fixed the problem and charged us next to nothing.  Therefore, when our AC unit stopped working in September they were the first company we called.  We weren't disappointed.  The were extremely professional, called prior to their arrival, and arrived at the scheduled time.  The technician they sent, Victor, was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He recommended the best AC unit for our needs and also suggested we change the venting system to increase the efficiency of our unit.  Recently Larson called to let us know we were eligible for a free AC check-up.  We were delighted that Victor was once again our technician.  He checked our unit to make sure it was running the way it should and let us know that Larson will conduct another free check-up in 6 months.  Talk about excellent customer service!

I found Larson Air here on Yelp and the reviews we all great so I decided to get a bid from them. Just like all the reviews Jaime and Jared both did a great job. They both were very knowledgeable and took their time explaining things to me, they showed up when they said they would, they quickly installed a whole new AC unit on my roof at a competitive price and were very professional during the whole experience. My annual SRP A/C check-up was scheduled for 4/15/16.  I did not select a contractor and this morning Larson A/C showed up even before the scheduled appointment.  The two technicians:  Joshua and Colorado were very courteous and got right to work on the 4 ton Goodman unit.  They opened the panels on the unit and inspected the coils which were found to be in poor condition due to the inlet of the drip line being clogged.  This allowed standing water to accumulate causing the base of the coil to start to rust.  Joshua unclogged the drip line inlet so this would not happen again.  They checked the amperage of the condenser motor which was found to be running at full (2.8 amps) amperage indicating a failing capacitor.  They replaced the old capacitor with a new one and the amperage reading decreased.  I joined Joshua and Colorado on the roof and they gave me a full explanation of the overall condition of the unit including coils, compressor, condenser motor and temperature split.  They were extremely knowledgeable and were able to convey information about the unit in terms I would understand.  They pointed out specs that were labelled on the unit and showed the reading on their amp meter and temperature split regulator to point out that the unit is not realizing it's full operating efficiency due to an intake restriction.  They were very careful when disconnecting their refrigerant lines so I wouldn't lose much refrigerant.  The unit blows too cold as a result of poor airflow over the coils.  They pointed out that I was losing a lot CFM as a result of the restrictions in intake and leaks in the duct work.  The insulation layer in the attic also is very old and needs new insulation.  I couldn't have been in better hands as Joshua and Colorado were thorough, knowledgeable, honest and friendly who also took the time to explain the operation of my system and offered ways to improve the existing unit's efficiency until I can afford a new one as this unit is reaching the end of it's expected lifespan.  I will be using Larson going forward for all my A/C needs including unit replacement, duct-work sealing, insulation blowing and the possible addition of new intakes to improve cooling efficiency in the house.  I feel VERY lucky to have had Larson come out this morning.  They can expect to have me as a repeat customer going forward.  Also, and I'm sure it goes without saying that Larson A/C should feel proud of having two employees like Joshua and Colorado.

I must say, these folks are professionals. I'd been in the market for a garage air conditioner for some time and called a number of companies. Larson was amazing. Everyone was on time and very nice and knowledgable. I bought a ductless mini-split system for my garage and here's they're process: first, a real person answered the phone. Yee ha! then they arranged for an estimator to come out. They emailed me the estimate that evening. Once I accepted (and my HOA approved it) they sent one of the installers out for a pre-work site survey. This was the person who did the job. Then, two guys came out to install it: Victor and Awston. They were fabulous, worked well together and got the job done in one day. Very, very knowledgable. THEN, another person came out within a few days of the install to check the job for quality and to answer any questions I had. Amazing. While I don't care for the price of these units, I know they're competitive based on other estimates I got. Use Larson, you won't regret it.

These people know what they are doing! My a/c unit, although not old, was constantly breaking down..2 coils replaced in a three year period..and always in the summer (of course). The attic duct work was done by someone who really didn't care.. the airflow has always been uneven and when I mentioned that to previous a/c people, they just didn't seem motivated to figure it out. I was pretty frustrated. Called Larson and explained my situation. Josh and Flavio came the next day and inspected EVERYTHING; but better than that , they took pictures and explained what was going on. I decided to upgrade and put things right. And, wow, it was amazing. Josh, Flavio and Victor basically put it a whole new system over a two day period. They were terrific explaining as they progressed..very impressive work.I couldn't be happier. The new system is super efficient, really quiet and the air flow is totally balanced throughout the house.

It was refreshing to not have a technician tell me that I need to get a new unit or upsell me on other parts. He showed up on time, was very polite and friendly, fixed the unit and checked my coolant level and other parts I said were replaced by another company last summer. I've already recommended them to a friend.
