So happy I found Urban Pest Control. I live in Los Angeles and I was looking for a professional and effective exterminator for my moms house. She's elderly and is deathly afraid of scorpions. They came out promptly and stayed true to their word that if there were any other scorpion sitings they will come out again free of charge before the next scheduled appointment. Super friendly employees and text friendly. Highly recommend to anyone.

TJ came out to our house to help with some ants in the backyard. He was professional and efficient. Too-notch in my books!

My house is an older house and recently noticed that there were tube like tunnels near my front and back door.. after googling and asking around I finally realized it might be termites.

Josh is who helped me at Simply Green and because I am not experienced in this area he was able to set up a free inspection in a timely matter.  Sadly, it was termites and needed to be handled. I let the tech know I wanted sometime to shop around and felt no pressure.

Much like car shopping, I kept getting different prices because every company is different and when I asked one guy what they used it wasn't the same as some of the others.

Joshua gave me a call back and was super kind and friendly and was able to answer my questions because I started to learn a little bit about the process. I decided  I wanted only the best stuff for the safety of my kids and my dog.

I gave Joshua some of my quotes from multiple companies and thankfully he was able to give me a better quote so that I was ensured to get the best results for the money I was unexpectedly having to spend. He also informed me their company uses top of the line products to treat my home. That instantly made me feel better! I would definitely recommend this company. What an amazing small business. We had a pest issue last week. They came out same day, their prices were reasonable and both the phone staff and the person they sent to our home were a pleasure. Definitely a brand that cares. 10/10

Very informative Lady came out to explain our termite problems.  Gave me enough information to learn new things about this pest.  The gentleman that came out to do the work was very courteous and seemed to do a great job.

I wanted to like Bulwark but they have really let us down. We have scorpions in our house so we contacted them to take care of it. We scheduled them to come out every other month. They also agree to come out again whenever you need them to.

When their tech came out, he walked around the interior of our home and sprayed doors and windows with an aerosol can. Then he sprayed the yard with a house using what appears to be Cy-kick, which we had already used ourselves without any luck. However, he used about 7 gallons of it whereas we were only using about 2 gallons per spraying so we hoped the higher concentration or saturation would help.

We have had them coming out for about 4 months now, with I think at least one out-of-rotation spraying. We still have scorpions. I have been stung twice and we are uncomfortable in our home because of this. The techs that come inside do not do a very thorough job, they just lightly spray the base of the doors and windows and they are gone in two minutes. They don't focus on fixtures, baseboards, outlets, or anything like that, just doors and windows. It always felt very rushed, like they just want to get on to the next customer.

Each time we had a spraying done by Bulwark, a different tech would show up, so each time we had to re-explain everything we wanted. It would be nice to have the same person every time so they could familiarize themselves with our property.

Because our problem has not subsided, we contacted a different company that specializes in scorpion removal, then called Bulwark to cancel our spraying. The person on the phone told us that we had a one year contract that we had to uphold and that we could not cancel. Neither myself nor my wife recall agreeing to a one year contract, so we asked them to produce a copy of said contract and email it to us. They told us it would be emailed that day but we never got it. I called the next day and they told us they were still looking for it. Three days later and we still don't have it. I'm assuming this is because it doesn't exist, because we didn't sign it. If it does exist, then my next assumption is that the first tech slipped it in without telling us, which would seem very underhanded.

I also told the person on the phone that we are still having significant scorpion problems, and I expressed my frustration with the various techs and less-than-thorough performance. He became very salesman like and tried to upgrade my service to monthly instead of every other month. I suppose if that is what it takes then that is fine, but it seemed like a pressured approach to sell more when we were unhappy with the service to begin with. So their money back guarantee is really a guarantee to sell you more. We did not get our money back or even an offer for it. He also told me that he would contact a specialist scorpion truck, who would then contact me and schedule a full detailed service, and that we get this service free with our service once per year. The call for that truck also never came; he said I would receive a call back within an hour to schedule the service. Its been a day at this point and still no scheduling call.

We believed we were scheduled for another regular spraying today. My wife stayed home from work to meet them. They didn't show or call. When we called to inquire about the status, they did not have a record of our appointment, so now they are trying to fit us in sometime. This has been a very frustrating experience - we just want the scorpions gone.

UPDATE:
One further problem: we got a bill from Bulwark threatening to send us to collections. As it turns out, they opened two different accounts for our one address, and our payment only applied to the first account. We had called about this before and they assured us that it was taken care of, but we still ended up getting bills. We were able to finally cancel our service today.

Soto's Pest and Termite Service is absolutely the best. Ben is a highly personal person who has years of experience and shares this experience with you. He is a no nonsense but nice person to be around and he is efficient, neat and courteous. I believe his son handles the scheduling/appointments and he has certainly learned with customer service should look like. He is considerate on the phone and easy to work with...even if I forgot that Ben was going to show up early and I was FAST ASLEEP...they never made a thing about it, just re-scheduled and came back to take care of my little termite family. I have used Ben for about three years and have always appreciated his service.

Talk about a supportive crew! Moving into a new home I was worried about unwanted guest and they  talked to me about what goes into their products.
Very communicative, easy scheduling and want to make sure the family and pets are safe. Will be using again.

I was not impressed with the chemical used by Bulwark. I believe the natural product even though it's top of the line as I was told is simply not as effective. I had them treat ants, black widows and scorpions at my residence and they had to come back to retreat 3+ times. The first spray was light. The call for a second retreat was very heavy as I could see where the spray was and had wished the attention was placed on the first spray. A third spray was needed as black widows were still building webs and tons of babies had been made and it was in process. Then I get billed for the next installment without seeing a decrease in creepy crawlies. The only way I got rid of 7 black widows on my back porch was walking around and lighting them on fire with a torch. The very next day I found another scorpion in the house.I had to find a new provider because our local guy stopped servicing our area and charged only $60 a spray. One of his heavy thorough sprays knocked everything out, every time. I cancelled bulwark and conveniently moved too.

Rodent problems are never fun. Jon went around every crook and cranny! Sealed up holes. Laid out traps in the inside. Laid bait out on the outside. Power washed with a pesticide around the whole outside of my home.

Copper State Pest Control is absolutely wonderful. Alex is always takes the time to listen and answer any questions we have. He has rid our house of the creepy bugs. He is respectful, professional, and always on time!

Ok so I called 3-4 different pest companies around The Valley and heard their pitch. All
Of the prices are around the same but I was looking for something that is actually different.

Frontino caught my attention when they told me that for every paid service they use part of the money to plant a tree. Being the green person that I am I LOVED this! Also they use products that are organically derived so they're all pet and family friendly. Then when they told me they offer a money back guarantee I was sold.

They came out the next day and got rid of my scorpions and black widows immediately! They even found an ant hill in the back that I didn't know I had. True to other reviews I've read, Tyler was easy to talk to and explained things well.

I'm guessing this is a company focus because Chandler, the guy who was sent to spray, was no different. He spent time explaining what he was doing, what to look for, and what to expect. And he happily answered all my questions in detail during the whole process and was really easy to talk to.

Who knows if the product is better or worse than anything else used by other companies; I assume we'll get the expected result. But when it comes to customer service, I think these guys are doing it right.

After an ant infestation, I reached out to Pro Active. Sawyer was great and very clear about how their service works, and he got me set up for an appointment the next day. I was very happy with my first inspection and treatment. Damian and Joseph explained everything in detail before they started and were professional yet friendly. I was very comfortable with the whole process, and since I decided to sign up for bi-monthly service, I'm grateful to feel my home will be in good hands with Pro Active going forward.
