Great service! Replaced my garbage disposal and Lou was on time, professional and even explained  how to maintain it down the road. He also realized my initial quote was for a size I didn't need to recommended what was more appropriate for my sink. Highly recommend!

Worst experience I have ever had with a company in my life. They charged me over $200 for being here for 30 minutes and nothing was fixed in the slightest. Get yourself a company you can pay to actually fix the problem, the whole situation and aftermath was beyond unprofessional.

I had a dreaded drip leak somewhere inside the walls/floor/basement ceiling.  My wife and I struggled to find a source and knew we needed a plumbing expert to track it down without tearing our whole house apart.  Enter Mike Bonner from Lawson Family Plumbing.  He listened, considered a variety of sources, and began his detective work.  After a thorough review, we all agreed we simply had to cut into our basement ceiling and see what we could see inside.  After cutting an opening in a best-guess location, Mike immediately found the pinhole leak in a copper water line merely 8-12 inches away!  He was able to repair the pipe thus stopping the leak and did it with just one small drywall hole that was easily repaired.  Amazing!  We are so thankful for Mike The Water Line Whisperer Bonner's help.  5-STAR!

I had a toilet emergency today where my toilet kept overflowing and was unable to turn off the water. My usual plumbing company was not able to assist me so I found Scottsdale rooter plumbing on yelp. I called and Chris answered. He was able to come to me within an hour and even tried to help out over the phone. He was here before an hour. He was friendly and able to fix my toilet quickly. His pricing was extremely reasonable. I highly recommend.

I woke up this morning and our backyard faucet was leaking 'BIGTIME. I tried to fix it myself, but made it worse. I had my Wife call Bumblebee while I ran to Home Depot to get a new faucet. By the time I got back, Jim was waiting in my driveway. He knew exactly what to do, and after about 30 minutes, I had a smile on my face. He not only fixed my problem, but he conquered the melt down I was having. Fast & very professional. AWESOME !

*UPDATE* - Change from 3 to 4 stars.  I don't think it was an hour after posting my experience with LFP, when I received a call from Jeff - the owner.

Jeff first noted that the pricing I posted didn't have any comparisons, and that he almost never gets complaints about pricing.  Jeff mentioned two other large, popular plumbing companies by name that have far higher pricing than LFP.  I've called one of them before - - and he's right - - not only is their pricing higher, but they have a 2 star yelp review status.   Both reasons are why I've never hired them.  

Jeff also explained some of my work was flat rate.

He told me there was an error on my invoice, and was making a price adjustment accordingly.  With the price adjustment, LFP's rate is now much more tolerable - - and we will in fact consider them for future work.  

He said that they take their 5 star yelp status seriously (and he should - - that's what made me a new customer), and I should have first called LFP prior to leaving a 3 star review. I disagreed with Jeff on this point (that I should have called him first). While I understand that LFP wants to maintain a good online reputation, I really had nothing to call and complain about:  the work was completed correctly and the invoice gave me no indication that there was a pricing error.  Unless I've been price gouged (I was not), or there was an invoicing error (I did not detect one), I am not going to call you and complain that I don't like your pricing.  I firmly believe that businesses may price their services as they please.  

In summary - I very much appreciate Jeff's commitment to providing both quality and value with LFP's services.  His phone call to me is evidence of his dedication to satisfied customers.  The invoice correction means we will be able call LFP for help in the future.

I am a landlord with multiple properties in the east valley.  We often hire plumbers  - - not just for repairs, but also for maintenance, appliance installations, and upgrades. The licensed plumber we've used in the past has great pricing, but is often not available as quickly as we need  - - and occasionally his workmanship requires rework.

I called Lawson after reading yelp reviews, hoping to find a new plumber we can do business with on a regular basis.  LFP returned my call a few hours after I left a message on Mothers Day (I was surprised, but pleased).  I described the work I needed done, and we scheduled their plumber to arrive this morning.  The person returning my call was friendly and courteous.

They arrived on time.  We inspected and discussed the work I needed completed, and I agreed with the verbal estimate.  I would likely have agreed to any estimate because LFP has a yelp 5 star rating with nearly 150 reviews - - - this tells me they're not ripping people off and that they care about their reputation.  Their yelp rating is the reason I called.  

The work was completed in 2.25 hours - - -but about 20-25 minutes of that includes the time the tech had to leave to buy a part to connect my dishwasher.  I was a little surprised that he did not have the part(s), because I advised them during my first call that I needed a dishwasher hooked up, and that I had not purchased anything but the dishwasher.  

The tech removed my old dishwasher, connected and tested the new one, removed and replaced a sink disposal (and tested), removed and replaced the hot water riser,  and removed and replaced the hot water stop valve. I was satisfied with the technician's work.  The tech applied a $50 discount to my invoice.

So why the three-star rating?  Mainly price.  

LFP does not specify every line item for parts and labor on their invoice- - but it's easy enough for me to comparatively price up the parts, and then compute Lawson's labor rate.

If I bought all the parts used on this job (exact) at the big orange store, they would have cost me $150 (actually $147.66 tax included).  My invoice was $583 - - which works out to $192 an hour for labor.

$192 an hour for labor includes my discount - - and is also the rate I paid for the time the tech left to buy parts.   Without the discount the rate is $215 an hour.

I don't pretend to understand the plumbing business, or the components behind the hourly rate. I also understand that some jobs are flat rate.   And LFP absolutely may charge whatever they care to.  

But our little rental business spends many thousands on plumbing supplies, fixtures, and services every year. As a business, we are more sensitive to pricing than if we were only calling the plumber once every 3-5 years to clear a drain at our home or replace the water heater.   Our business can not tolerate $200 an hour labor rates for plumbers - -- - That's almost what we pay our attorney.

Although the work was completed on-time, courteously, and with good workmanship; pricing will likely preclude us from putting LFP at the top of our partner list.

Our 1.7 year water heater stopped working.  This man knew exactly what to look for, as it was the breaker.  His diagnosis procedure was fast and efficient and fixed the problem within 30 minutes.  In today's time, it's very rare to experience a phenomenal company and service, and this company was professional, affordable, on time, and did a superior job.  We **HIGHLY** recommend this company and will use then in the future going forward.  Gabriel & Greg were incredible!  Thank you SO much for restoring our hot water on a Sunday.

Quoted $79 to clear main drain from clean out in the front yard.  Without any prior notice, end up charging $149.  Then the drain was clogged again 2 days later.  The guy keep asking if my rental was insured and I should claim with insurance.  Suggest hydro blast, quoted $1200, no warranty.  I said I was going to think about it.  Then he mentioned a small unit for $550???   End up going with another company.

Great experience!  He is hands-on with his own company - he understood and knew what he was getting into before he arrived but still asked questions before he did anything.  Always nice having someone with experience.  Confirmed we didn't have a recirculating pump before cutting off the water, etc.  Dave explained what he was going to do, got us the matching 1/4-turn piece (which others charged more for) and knocked the job out.  He charged what he said he would charge and I am happy (my wife is happy).  Good price and I would rather tip because of a good job then agree to the highest and hope.  
I will use him again for future jobs and recommend to my friends and clients.

Kevin came outdoor how to diagnose a possible leak underneath our concrete slab.  Investigate the situation, and determined there was no leak. He did not charge to diagnose the problem,  and he was very nice. They seem like a great company, and I will definitely use them again in the future.

I am always grateful when people review contractors, plumbers etc. These guys are great! I've used them on several occasions and they are honest and reliable! Today they were 2  hours delayed, they called early to let me know, offered to reschedule. But I know they take care of their customers, so if they are late it's just for that reason! These folks really have it all together, starting with a readily available and eager-to-help office crew. Hays was recommended to me by a roof gutter outfit because of underground drainage issues in our backyard. They were quick and accommodating in scheduling a convenient appointment, kept us updated on that, and the assigned plumber did likewise that morning. He (Randy) turned out to be one of their more experienced and astute guys in diagnosing the cause of our backup, and to boot he was laser-focused on addressing what was needed to fix it (no surprise once I noticed the USMC pin hanging around his neck). Plus he was super-helpful in showing me some maintenance tricks to keep things flowing and prevent recurrent problems. All-in-all, a great service experience!

I needed to have a new cold supply line and shutoff valve replaced on my water heater. I called around and felt comfortable with King's responsiveness.
