Great service from Nick and his company, I literally texted him nextdoor this morning, he responded very fast, and was at my house in 2 hours to fix our AC unit, now it starts and operates much better, much quieter. Thank you very much, wish you and your company all the best...Vince (U.S. Navy (retired))

Read the Yelp reviews & decided to call Wise Mechanical.
Very professional approach to our problems..within a short period of time the issue was resolved! I asked Joe Wise (the owner) if he like do a check our HVAC units for wintertime..he suggested I wait until it got colder & he would check at that time! I appreciated his honest approach as he indicated I'd be better waiting!
No question that we will use Wise Mechanical again. Jim is very approachable, listens intensively & is only interested in doing work in a professional manner. The charge was fair & reasonable!
Don't hesitate to call their company, you definitely won't be disappointed!

I had recently purchased a smart thermostat for our rental home & needed an AC professional to come install the unit as we were unable to do so ourselves. Ecobee offers HomeAdvisor as an option to help look for technicians within your area that can help with the install. Within 5 min of speaking with the representative from HomeAdvisor, I got a phone call and text from 480 Mechanical following up on the request. I called back and was immediately able to schedule for a technician to come install the thermostat same day, as they had an available window. From the time that I booked with the company to the time the technician arrived, I was updated on his ETA. The service technician that installed our unit was Dominic. Dominic was very informative and helped us understand the different functions of the smart thermostat that we had purchased. He also gave us helpful tips as we are first time AZ residents. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs professional AC assistance.

I have used Taps, the owner, for over five years for all my HVAC needs. I followed him from his previous company once he started his own business. I live in an older home with a goofy system that had vexed the other AC techs that tried to work on it -- but not Taps. He is the most get it done contractor I've ever worked with. He always does everything he can to keep costs down without ever sacrificing quality.
Taps gets to us so quickly, even during the hottest times when things are busiest, and has what he needs on his truck to gets things fixed then and there. He is extremely proactive with communication and he shows up when he says he will. He is professional but friendly and never makes you feel bad, even when you have six inches of dog fur all over your coils.
I highly recommend Comfort One and Taps. I am a loyal customer for life.

Mark and Amy are the best A/C team in Phoenix. I have been using them for about 5 years now and won't use anyone else. They have great customer service. Mark even came out at 4:00 am in the winter to chase down a gremlin. I don't know anyone else that would do that. I am always happy to refer these guys to my friends, family, and anyone that asks.

Rusty came to our rescue late on a Friday afternoon, after we received an exorbitant quote from another company. He was friendly, professional, and helped us out with some coolant to last us until he could get the needed parts and replace them.
Since we were experiencing 100 degree days without air conditioning, that was a huge blessing! The other company was going to charge us at least 1/3 more than Rusty and they did not supply us with emergency coolant. Pretty bum deal when we had used them a few times, and come to find out we were overcharged for a bandaid service than an actual fix.
You can trust Rusty to be fair and honest!

Wish I could give a better review but the dude never showed up. I don't understand people that set appointments and don't follow through. The awful part is that he had my address and phone number, and who knows what he'll do with it. He didn't call, didn't message, nothing. I finally responded through Yelp and told him I was sorry that he didn't show and that we would be seeking assistance from another business. His response was a vague sorry for the inconvenience. No reason, no explanation, nothing. Do NOT recommend using this business.

I can not say enough good things about my experience. Sam was prompt, courteous, professional, and very fair. He wore a mask and maintained social distancing. He was informative and his repair work is very thorough. I highly recommend Neighborhood Plumbing and Air! If I'm ever in need of this type of service again, I know who to call.

Homeadvisor.com estimates repairs to a home a.c. as follows: A/C compressor repair hard start kit: $100-$250. Capacitor or contactor replacement: $90-$400. Home air compressor replacement: $1350-$1800, depending on size and type. Evaporator coil replacement: $650-$1200.
They replaced my compressor for $2,000.00. They had an opportunity to exceed my expectations and chose not to. I had a problem, they solved it.

We sought out a company that we thought we could trust and we were not disappointed . The communication was prompt and seemingly honest, all work was done on schedule and they were very responsive to our questions. After installation we were concerned about the amount of cooling in our bedroom and they were great in adding a new direct duct at very reasonable cost to us. They wore masks and were both personable and very professional. I give them very high ratings and have no qualms in recommending them.

Recently my washer displayed the middle finger icon in the display and died. I called Laron at Loe's Appliance to check things out. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate for the repair. He had to order a part from Whirlpool, but returned in two days once the parts supplier got the part in. He promptly completed the repairs and gave me a complete explanation of what was done.
Bottom line is that he was prompt, polite, and professional He got me back in business without leaving a mess behind. I am very satisfied and will definitely call again if I have other appliance problems.

I should have known better than to respond to a phone solicitation.
I just bought a new home, and someone sold my cell phone number to third party vendors like Emergency Air. I'm not happy about that, but it's not the fault of the folks at Emergency Air. One of their people called me unsolicited to offer me a free HVAC inspection. Okay, I live in Phoenix, and that is a necessary task anyway. I figured, why not?
A technician came out. I'm not going to name him because he seemed like a great guy. The part I was shocked about was when he came back in the home and wrote me out an estimate to get me caught up on my standard maintenance. The bill he wrote up was $1,400. I decided at that point that the business was called Emergency Air because I almost needed an emergency room to mend my ailing heart when he showed me that estimate.
Included in that estimate was $200 each for an acid cleaning on both coils, $200 for a new capacitor, $200 for a new thermostat and $400 for duct cleaning plus a couple of other odds and ends. However, he said that if I was to buy a seven year service contract for $1,500, he would knock everything off except the price of the capacitor. Plus, they offered zero percent financing. One thing to add is that he swore that my unit was a 2002 model when my home inspector claimed it was much newer (and still under warranty).
I figured it was time to practice some due diligence. I called the guy who inspected my home back when I was in the escrow period of my home buying purchase. He pulled up my file and promised me that my A/C unit was a 2009 model, just a little over six years old, with almost four years left on the warranty. I decided to get a third opinion, and I called another HVAC guy to take a look.
When the second HVAC guy came back into the house to announce his findings, that is the point where I became disgruntled with Emergency Air. He said there were essentially four problems:
1. He agreed with the guy from Emergency Air that both coils needed to be cleaned, but that was free as part of the service visit.
2. Condensation hose was unhooked. He also offered to re-hook it up for free as part of the visit, but he wanted to make sure it wasn't clogged first. How did they guy from Emergency Air miss that?
3. The fuses in the unit were the wrong size. How did the guy from Emergency Air miss that?
4. He also agreed that I should probably replace my thermostat.
The second A/C guy offered to do all of that for $400. When I showed him my estimate from Emergency Air, he said the only things from the invoice that he did not do were capacitor replacement and the duct cleaning because it wasn't necessary. He also agreed with my home inspector that the A/C unit was a 2009 unit still under warranty, so if the capacitor did go out, it would be covered under the warranty. Plus, he unclogged my condensation hose and replaced my fuses, two things that the guy from Emergency Air didn't even catch.
I hate leaving extremely negative reviews, but I feel this one is completely justified. I have always had a rule against engaging with phone solicitors. This one took me off guard, but I have now reinforced that rule to myself. Now, to find out which vendor in the home-buying process sold my cell phone number because a complaint to the FCC is in order.

Recently scheduled multiple houses to get serviced. My main house was serviced fine by a knowledgable technician. The other property is where I had major headaches. My first appointment I was called during the time window and asked to reschedule. My second appointment a new technician performed the wrong services where a unit he was not supposed to touch was impacted such that many components failed and I had nearly $2K in expenses to repair it.
I tried to handle the issue directly with the Owner (Mark), but he blew me off. When they ignored my issue, I turned to the BBB for help. I worked with Robert Moreno and checked in about every 10 days with very little feedback. After 30 days I escalated my issue to the director of conciliation Michelle Marin and got the following reponse:
Hi Larry,
Thank you for reaching out to BBB. I apologize that your complaint is taking longer than expected. The business has communicated that there may be further delays due to matters outside of their control. If you wish to pursue your complaint with other avenues, you're more than welcome to do so. Please know that as soon as we receive another update from the business, you will be notified. Again, I apologize for the frustration behind the delay.
Matters outside their control? After 30 days of putting this off they can simply state that and get off the hook? I looked at Brewer's AC facebook page and saw that just 6 days ago they posted a picture for International Beer Day, but during that time didn't have time to respond to a legitimate customer complaint. Appears they have been paying their dues for 38 years so why do anything about it? Gotta pay those execs somehow...
It's too bad Brewer's has lost their touch with their great service. I would really avoid using them until they straighten things out over there.

Over the last couple of years my air conditioning unit, (BRYANT), installed by Yavapai Plumbing and Heating in 2013, has exhibited a reduction in cooling ability. Previous service calls resulted in the addition of small amounts of refrigerant, with at least one case potentially attributed to loose fittings that allowed refrigerant to leak out.
A similar condition presented itself again last week and the technician. Jose', evaluated the condition and added 0.5 pounds of refrigerant. BUT, he explained that the system was most likely being starved due to a fouled/failed thermal expansion valve (TXV) and liquid line drier problem Jose' is a courteous technician who took the time to explain the problem and today he replaced the drier and TXV. It appears my cooling issue is resolved! Jose' arrived when he said he would, was respectful of social distancing and cleaned up after himself. I typically do not give 5 star ratings, but Yavapai Plumbing and Heating is fortunate to have Jose' on their team. Thanks Jose'!

These guys are hard sell and all talk. They sold and installed a brand new American Standard heat pump for $8500 in May at my home in Rio Verde. They never verified whether the heat worked or not. When I needed heat this winter, I discovered the unit they installed does not work. They do not stock the part for the unit and evidently cannot get one to replace it. Conlan tells me there is no ETA on getting the replacement part and offers no help other than offering me the phone number for American Standard. I am out of luck. I do not recommend these guys. Go to a reputable company.
