I can not comment on the actual work of this company but the owner no showed two appointment times. The first time, a four hour window was given. Waited for 5-6 hours, no communication, no apology. Set up another time, said he couldn't make it an hour before the scheduled time. No apology. Don't schedule your day around an appointment from this company.

Sunset Gates just finished our new front and side gates. We are super happy with how great they look! From the quote with Kyle to Dawn the Office Manager and Shawn handling the coordination of everything, the mason and install guys, my husband and I were impressed with the quality of our new gates, the professionalism and communication. You get what you pay for and this project was worth every penny. Although it took a little longer than we thought, Shawn kept us up to date throughout the process. We usually hate dealing with contractors, but you guys are the exception! Thank you!

I have had this company complete several metal structures for me and I have yet to be disappointed. I affectionately call Alex the owner Magneto, he just can do things with metal that most humans can't. His top notch work is accompanied with great service and excellent communication and prices that will fit anyone's budget. We needed to remove a section of our block wall and install an RV gate for a new trailer.

Sebastian came out and gave us a quote.

Not only was the price one of the most reasonable of all we received, the photos he showed of prior jobs impressed us. stainless steel bolts and powder coating the gates were suggested upgrades at a minor cost increase.

His mason (paid separately) actually set the 3 posts in concrete, where other quotes were 2 and affixed to the existing columns. This was extremely important to us, as the other companies wouldn't guarantee against sag and stated in contract sag correction would be an additional fee!

He included upgrades as standard some things other companies offered as additional cost options, or not at all. Like using 3 posts, privacy panels (not sure what he called the panels), and using 4 straps to secure the slats to instead of three.

He was able to get the work done and gate installed many weeks earlier than the other quotes too.
The 12 ft gate looks fantastic, and I know we made the right choice in selecting Gates the Right Way for our project.

Minor hiccups: powder coating delayed by one day as the coater was only doing white the scheduled day. Sebastian's quote could have been a lot more detailed, but in our case he remembered everything we talked about and it was not an issue in the end.

Over all, I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to hire them again.

Juan responded immediately when I requested a quote (no one else got back to me).  After that, I had a new custom gate within 4 weeks.  He's incredibly professional, pleasant, and responsive - I would hire him for another project in a heartbeat and I recommend you do the same!

I wanted to give a shout out to an amazing artist who replaced my ugly rickety old gate with this beautiful electric gate. His first name is Paul and his business is called Full Spectrum Art Works. He is absolutely the most polite and responsive person and I would highly recommend him to all of my neighbors looking to upgrade their gates or just looking for unique metal artwork.

My boyfriend and I used Sunset Fence for our backyard and they are superb. They were the only contractor that proposed that we maximize our fence to the mid way point on my house. Also, the only contractor that supplied a detail schematic of the fence install with the proposal. They informed us of that up front without any additional work on our part. We highly recommend Sunset Fence and will use them in the future if we purchase a new home.

The gentleman that came out for the quote was very nice and I was looking forward to hiring this company... but the office side is where they fall short ... communication is subpar and phone calls are not returned and when I was able to get ahold of someone they couldn't answer the questions I had and said they would have someone call me back ... which never happened.
