Lev responded right away with great insight when I reached out for a quote. While I'm not in the property yet I appreciate him taking the time to let me know my options.

We really needed a new door and I'd seen advertisements for First Impression Ironworks. They did not disappoint! Chris showed up on time to give us an estimate and go through all the options. We approved our CAD drawing a few days later and 4 weeks later our door was installed. Jorge & Juan did an awesome job with the installation. They were courteous and respectful of the surrounding. The job was done quickly and they cleaned everything perfectly. We are delighted with the new door!!

Needed a last minute repair and they got me in less than 24 hours of a notice! The job was done great and will definitely use for any future repairs as well!!

I am so happy we chose Bob and Ace Fence Co.  From the begining Bob was concerned about the safety of our daughters and making sure the fence looked visually appealing in our backyard.  He went above and beyond and the result is absolutely wonderful.  I had no idea a pool fence could look so good!  If anyone needs a pool fence PLEASE call Bob!

The longer version: Sunset Gates did an amazing job with our new side gate! From start to finish, the experience was fantastic and they did everything they promised on time, on budget and with the highest level of professionalism.

We originally met with Kyle and he was beyond patient. He provided us photos, samples of the metal and wood choices and gave us a lot of great tips during the process.  The gate was made even better with his suggestions.

Shawn did the coordination of the installation and when they needed to add privacy straps which delayed the install slightly, he was professional and polite and made sure we were 100% in the know on the process and, most important, made sure we were completely satisfied.

Finally John the one man band did the installation with a smile on his face the entire time. You can tell when someone loves what they do and has refined their craft to the point they can do it in their sleep, and that came across with John. He made sure the gate was put in perfectly and went over all the functions like adjusting the springs and helped with the rekeying.

I will definitely refer Sunset Gates to anyone that is looking for an amazing product and service that goes above and beyond.

Alex was great from the start with communication through yelp and text.  The door to our courtyard was rusted and had broken a hinge.  His team fixed the door, replaced the hinge, and also gave it new life with a fresh coat.  The timing was to be expected with a fix and we are happy with the finished project.  We would recommend IMS to anyone looking for a gate or repair.

Received a message requesting my contact information and never heard back from Sebastian. I even followed up days later for an update on a quote and never heard received a response.

Fantastic experience with Juan and JM custom Iron Works. Affordable, easy process. Juan designed a beautiful gate that compliments an existing gate at my house, and protects my pet tortoise by keeping him secure in the yard. Beautiful results. Very much worth it.

I am so happy with the gates Paul created and installed. I wanted heavy duty durable metal gates for my front and back. Paul did not disappoint. He designed exactly what I had envisioned. From the onset of communication to the day of installation Paul was very professional and accountable. I found him on Yelp and messaged him. He returned my message promptly same day. He came over the next day to discuss and measure the job. Within 2 days he emailed me an estimate. He showed so much more initiative than any other contact that I had made for the job. Not only that, I really like his reviews on Yelp. I am going to have him do some additional work for me in the near future. I highly recommend Paul for your home improvement needs. Alex and Michael arrived on time at 8 am July 13, 2020 to put kickplate under my RV gate to raise it to the level that I added onto my block wall years ago, which is another 13 inches.  Alex is particularly cheerful and upbeat.  

I was feeling sorry for them that they had to work in 118 degree heat, but they had their setup, which really impressed me, that I took this picture.  A large EZ up with misters!!  I never seen any worker bring such a thing.  

Gate Repairs was willing to match the $350 bid that I got from several other gate businesses (maybe even this same business)  several years ago, but never acted on it.  I did not tell them that my lowest bid this year was $400, but they wrote back that they were willing to match the $350 I got from the past.  I was elated.  I got a bid as high as $1200 from one gate company, and that was only if I put kickplate on top of the gate not at the bottom!

So make sure you get several bids, folks, cos they could be $1000 apart.  

It was hard to get bids on this project because the other gate companies only make new gates, or they do not come out to the job site to install what they make in the shop, due to not being licensed to do installations on site.  

At first they welded the plate on top of  the frame, not inside the frame.    I didn't like that at all, and they already painted it.  They said they didn't weld the plate inside the frame so it looks same on both sides, cos the plate has a tendency to warp.  It is such a little area, like 1 foot high.  I said you could put enough welds in it, even all the way around, not just spot welding here and there, so the plate won't warp.

So they took apart what they did. on that one side, and put metal plate inside the frame, and got my approval.  Sooooo much better!  
Otherwise I would have looked at that plate on the outside of the frame (like a piece of cardboard taped there) and had bad feelings every time I look at it, and for years.  Alex said I just want you to be happy.  I said I was happy with the changes they made.  He said some people like the panel on this side, some like it on the other side.  I said Well you didn't ask me first.  I told him I think they should have asked me.  Maybe they will ask people from now on to avoid having the cost of time and materials to do it over.  .  

I don't know why I put off this gate modification for so long, but I love the Covid quarantine   I got home projects done during this time that I been putting off for 16 years!  

While working, Alex told me they could replace existing wood slats, which  too are too small  for the opening (cos lazy person, not me, buys them ready cut that way, no need to rip each slat) .  Existing wooden slats leaves large gapes in metal frame that people could see me skinny dip in my pool easily   Wood has to be custom ripped to fit between metal, so people cannot see through.  Gate Repairs will paint the wood for me, too.  Alex said he will call Areceli to give me a quote for that.  

On July 30, a different person named Adam showed up with the same Michael who came with Alex on July 18, to replace my gate slats with wider boards so the 1/4 opening on each side no longer exists between the board and the metal frame grid.

They stained the wood at their shop with the Behr Redwood stain 502 I told them to get, and cut it onsite and installed.  Cost $560 after a $100 previous customer discount.

I noticed paint drops and overspray on my brick paving and the concrete.  But Adam insisted that their paint (in spray can) does not make drops like that, but there was also 25 inches overspray you can see in the photo.  Adam said he and Michael painted in the alley, not where the drips are.  No one coulda done that but the gate workers, which Adam said could have been done by Alex last time.  They did not have the right solvent to remove the paint drops so I got my nail polish remover, which well, didn't get it all out, but made a difference.  Areceli at the office both called and emailed me offering for someone to come out again with the right solvent to remove the paint from my pavers, after the guys told the office they did not have the means to remove the paint.

After they left I worked on it for several days with remaining nail polish remover.  I got it out enough so it isn't as noticeable that I could live with, so they do not have to come back again.  But that is why I give them 5 stars, because they were conscientious to come out again to make it right.  

I tell you I really like Alex, the company has a big asset in his upbeat, enthusiastic, cheerful, yes and  I just want you to be happy personality.  I felt Adam was the opposite.

They did a beautiful front porch railing fabrication and installation between two arches.

Seamless install.  Under an hour and just like that our 1987 gate got a fresh new, modern, and structurally safe look.  Professional and pleasant to work with. Love the finish!

My boyfriend and I used Sunset Fence for our backyard and they are superb. They were the only contractor that proposed that we maximize our fence to the mid way point on my house. Also, the only contractor that supplied a detail schematic of the fence install with the proposal. They informed us of that up front without any additional work on our part. We highly recommend Sunset Fence and will use them in the future if we purchase a new home.

Super responsive and awesome work. Called Ron on Monday gates installed and done before noon Wednesday. Gates look great and seem heavy duty. I would absolutely recommend Ron, he's friendly and fast. One thing he said that stuck with me was get it done right the first time and let me tell you, he doesn't disappoint. Great job Ron!!!

Truly WOW!  What a beautiful door.  I was originally hesitant about spending the extra money versus a cheap Home Depot solution but I'm so glad I invested in a quality door.  My door at my old house allowed bugs to crawl underneath but this door is sealed bug tight even at the bottom.  Words can't do it justice you need to give these guys a call from the initial sales call with Mike to the install everything was superb!

I had at least half a dozen architects and contractors look at our master suite project, but none of them had the skill, vision, or knowledge of Sacred Steel AZ.  From understanding how to preserve the original block (I had master masons tell me that wasn't possible), to knowing the structural constraints of the wall, to working within the overall aesthetics of our home, Gabe Castle demonstrated professional expertise that surpasses his competitors.  He worked meticulously on every detail of our slider door to ensure a perfect, unique final product.  He also took time to collaborate with me about different decisions during the process.  Sacred Steel did all of this for a fraction of the price of other bids...and for 100% custom work!  The true beauty and quality of this project has far exceeded my expectations for only a fraction of the price.  Now I'm eager to see how Sacred Steel can blend more steel features across the exterior of the home.

Called this morning and left a message that I wanting to go to their office to look at pictures and pricing on an RV gate.  Just received several texts from Carol saying they do not have a showroom to visit.  Just Gates only offers on-site visits by both Tim and Carol.  She refused my request to send pictures of standard RV gates they make nor would she give me a price range of what they charge for a simple 12 foot RV gate.  Their policy is to not reveal any price range of their products unless it is in person at my home.
I'm surprised and disappointed...and now wary.
