My wife and I are expecting twins in the coming weeks and couldn't find someone to help us with our closet remodel. Mike from AZ Woodworks came to the rescue! He built us an amazing, and incredibly quality closet system. The best part about Mike was his communication. He was attentive, responsive and came through on everything that we discussed, including the install date he promised. Additionally, Mike fixed a few other issues after spending almost six hours on installing the project he was hired for. I would highly recommend AZ Woodworks for any project.

Brady was great to work with. Professional, responded right away and knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about him! Price was reasonable and the work was great. Good experience from start to finish. I highly recommend.

Jeff did an amazing job on our kitchen refacing project! Our install date fell during the peak of the  Covid-19 crisis and we contemplated postponing, but Jeff put our minds at ease and took every safety precaution to make us feel comfortable in our choice to move forward with the refacing. Our kitchen went from old and drab to new and fab!!  Excellent craftsmanship and quality product. We will have them back out to reface our bathroom cabinets next. Highly recommend these guys!

Alonzo was great. I had a cabinet door that was broken, and the manufacturer had discontinued them.
He rebuilt and reinstalled the door perfectly you can't even tell it was broken.

Jeremy and team were a huge help when we first moved into our house. He quickly provided us a competitive quote for painting and a bunch of improvements/fixes. Jeremy has a whole team of experts who work quickly did beautiful work. We will be using Jeremy in the future.

Simply, the best I've worked with. Brings great attitude and energy, he also considers you as a client foremost.  I couldn't get anyone to work on my exterior door without having to buy a whole new door, because other guys don't have the skill or the willingness to do the actual carpentry work.  Jason is fantastic, it was energizing to me to see a master craftsman at work, I can't rate him highly enough.

Jeremy was very professional.  His work is impeccable.  I'm super picky and he even impressed me which is difficult to do when it comes to home improvement projects I've done in the past.  He showed up for the job on-time and didn't ask for payment until every last detail was done to my satisfaction.  I couldn't be happier and can easily recommend him for any job.

I stumbled across Chris and Live Edge Lust when I was building out my new office and looking for an interesting conference room table. I needed a large table to fill the space and the slabs Chris had available gave me a variety of options to create a unique piece.

I was a little skeptical spending so much money with someone I found on Facebook so I went and met him at his workshop to get a feel for the operation. He had a number of projects going on and I felt comfortable right away.

I chose the slab, provided a down payment, and the table was delivered a few weeks ahead of schedule. He and the team did a great job bringing it into the space and getting it set up.

The table is always a topic of conversation with new visitors and everyone loves it. If you're looking for a unique piece of furniture, you can't go wrong with Chris and Live Edge Lust.

I'm using them for the second time for another project in Scottsdale because I was so impressed after the first project. They are professional, diligent, detailed, fair priced and they ensure you are in love with the finish product. They do custom and they are a dealer of Soliid so it's great to be able to mix and match! Call Kevin, he's my favorite. He will take care of you!

Joel and his son came to the rescue! We moved in to our new home in January and while I'm in love with pretty much everything about it, the uneven roof lining along the peak of our house had bothered me since day 1. The seller denied fixing it in our inspection period, so it was on my *lengthy* list of move-in to-dos.

I found AZ Studs, Carpentry, and Remodeling on Yelp and gave them a call! Joel called me back within an hour, willing to come over and take a look that day. Now friends, this is a very minor job compared to their full remodels but he was willing to help put my type A mind at ease. He installed a wooden piece along the base of the peak to make it nice and straight. Yayyyy!! I'm so happy. It has literally bothered me every day since move-in ( I AM CRAZY) and I'm so grateful that he was willing to take the time out of his *very busy* schedule to do this super tiny, 45 minute job for me.

I will definitely be calling Joel and his son (love the father/son team) back when we do future projects on our home. Can't thank them enough!

We had some damage to our back gate - Joel fixed several boards, re-stained them and put user-friendly latches on both doors. Joel was absolutely wonderful to work with - fast response, a great communicator, even sent me video of the work he did (we live down in Phoenix and rent the house). Pricing was very reasonable - I would work with him again in a heartbeat! Thank you Joel!!

Jon at GCS Woodworks provides great service and completes projects well.  He repaired a side gate at my home, which I need to have secure due to the pool in the backyard.    Jon was punctual, completed the repairs as scheduled, and was really courteous and polite.    Out of the several quotes I received from various companies, Jon took the time to explain the repairs needed, answered all my questions, and reviewed the gate.  He is knowledgeable and courteous.   I would definitely call him again for future projects.

WOMEN BEWARE

Do not book services through them. At first, this family business seemed like a great option for me, as I needed to use my vinyl for them to repair and redo my stairs. As a first time homebuyer, I was lost and really needed guidance about what to do.

1. The stairs originally had carpeting with a skirt. Where the skirt was, the drywall was damaged from pulling the carpet off. They told me to replace drywall and THEN they would do stairs. I did that for $500 and then when they finished the stairs, they left the drywall completely damaged again (see pic) the risers were also left completely unpainted, saying they don't do drywall or painting. I ended up paying $470 more again after the project was complete to finish paint and drywall. I later learned that a stair skirt would've solved my issues. I was never offered that and now it's too late. Why was the job not finished??? Why wasn't I given my options of a stair skirt?
2. My initial project start date was pushed out over two weeks because the installer had a family thing. When they gave me notice, it was for the next day at 7am. I WFH and had to move a lot of meetings (which is okay! I would rather get this project done). Well at 12pm I had an important meeting that could not be moved, I asked the installers to take a 1/2 hour break. I got a scathing email from Marilyn basically saying you don't tell our workers to stop working! -- how do you let your installers work partially outside in AZ without a break....
3. I had to bring my own materials to their office (40 min away) and had to get things measured 2x. I also ordered a doorway reducer which was completely left off the project and never made. When I asked about it, they made me try and measure the doorway and bring them materials--isn't that a contractors job? How am I supposed to measure the height of tile vs vinyl in a doorway (which is millimeters) isn't this part of the service?
4. Installers were not made aware of a specific area to do, so when I said yes that part is included I got yet another scathing email from Michael / Marilyn saying that I was telling the installers to do extra work. They clearly have communication issues.
5. When installers came back to redo some vinyl that was lifting, they tried to guilt trip me, saying we did this area and didn't know we were not supposed to do it so we never got paid -- sounds like their employers problem.
6. When I tried to get them to come back and fix that spot, Michael called me and absolutely BERATED me on the phone. I'm not kidding-- my whole family witnessed it. He yelled at me saying I was trying to cheat them out of the project. What I was simply trying to say (and could not get out because the owner Michael was literally SCREAMING at me. ) was that I was not going to pay until they came back and made a reducer and fixed the lifting vinyl. They wanted me to again run the materials up and measure myself for their communication lapse (I have emails to prove I included a reducer). He stated he would send his lawyer after me if I didn't pay ASAP --again project was not complete.

To the installers: please create your own business on Thumbtack so you don't have to work for this company. You work hard and seem to not be treated as well as you could.

Overall, if you are a women or someone who does not know a lot about Millworking, please please look to book elsewhere. I am traumatized from Michael screaming at me and the communication between multiple family members and installers for this project was an absolute mess. I ended up letting them know that I could only email from them on. STAY AWAY!!!!! Get everything in writing!!!!!

Jason was extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. My coffee table is a masterpiece and I am so happy with the final product. 5 stars!!!!

We recently had JAG Home Services install a wide dog gate in our home. We were very impressed with the professionalism and service provided by Jaime. He was prompt even texting to say he was on his way. He did an excellent job of installing the gate and was very thorough cleaning up when he was finished.
We highly recommend JAG for your home repairs!
