Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in Phoenix, AZ

My AC was over 20 years old and completely went out, I needed a whole new system. I got 4 quotes, and Larson was the most affordable and had the best financing options. They were able to complete the job same day and I have AC by 3pm the same afternoon! They already called to set up the quality walk thru just to make sure things are going well. Their customer service is great!

It's never fun having to replace an air conditioning system. You're hot and uncomfortable and have to scramble to make a quick decision about something very expensive and uncertain. You probably don't have a go-to company since you only do this every 10-20 years!  So you jump on Yelp, pick a highly reviewed and rated company and cross your fingers.
Wow, am I glad I chose AHWA!  Brad was at my door same day (actually within a few hours) and did something I thought was remarkable.  He was able to rig our system to run constantly so we could be comfortable right away.  Expensive, yes. Temporary, yes.  But he said at least it would buy us a few days to decide whether to repair our system (20 yr old condenser, 10 yr old air handler) or replace it, and to decide on a company to use.  He quoted me on our options, gave me all the reasons why we should use AHWA, smiled and said I hope we'll be able to work with you.  No hard sell, no predatory tactics, no taking advantage of our situation to force us into a quick decision.  Right there you know you have a company that is confident in its products, prices, and workmanship.  
So we decided to replace and within less than a week's time, Luis and crew did a one day install on a new unit.  They were on time and respectful of our family and pet (who was kinda freaked out about 3 strangers hauling big objects in and out of our house!)  They also worked very cleanly, putting down plastic to catch all debris.  Brad showed up midday to ensure everything was on track. He explained that there was some extra work and material needed as the previous install was not the most efficient.  No upcharge, no excuses, just Don't worry, we'll make it right for you.  That's what we do.  Sigh of relief.  
After all was said and done, and we were cool once again, I noticed some ceiling drywall cracking.  Brad came out, took a look, and said Yes, it sometimes happens when guys carrying heavy equipment walk on old beams.  He called the owner, who promptly called me back and sent someone to fix it.  Better than it was before.  
This is getting long so I'll wrap by stating the obvious...THIS IS A TERRIFIC COMPANY THAT PROVIDES GREAT SERVICE AT A FAIR PRICE!  Look no further.

First Choice provided me the most economical of option of two quotes.  When Lennox blamed ADT for a coil issue on a three year old AC still under warranty and ADT blamed Lennox, 1st choice stepped in and met with Lennox directly to get a resolution.  The work is scheduled for completion later this week.  1st Choice are great at communicating and following up, regardless of the news.

The reviews are worth the hype. The office support was friendly when scheduling the appointment, and Mike came out next day and saved me potentially hundreds had I gone with someone else. Mike is extremely transparent, and took the time to educate me on my system and how someone may have messed up a valve by glueing on a cap due to a previous potential leak. He was in and out in under 30-45 minutes. I would recommend this company to family and friends. (Water lines in blower cleaned out and freon added)

I wanted a second opinion for AC unit that was not blowing cold air. when the first company I called wanted $1700 to just add gas to the unit. I called Johnny  He was very helpful straight forward and Honest. He recommend one of his friends. And he call me back the next day to make sure that I was able to fix my ac unit with his recommendation.
I SAVED $1400 just because I called Johnny. I wish I could give him 10 Stars. Thanks for being honest and a professional.

We called Hay's for an estimate on replacing our HVAC system.
The man (Michael) came on time and seemed nice.  He said he would give us three different quotes on three types of systems and would send them to our e-mail that night or the next day.
We keep checking our e-mail but nothing ever came in from Michael.
So after four days my husband called and spoke to the woman who answered the phone.  She was very nice and asked if we checked our spam, which we did, and then said she would speak to him and we should get the e-mail by the next day.
Again nothing, so we waited 2 more days and called again.  This time she seemed upset that we didn't get the quotes and said she would definitely talk to him and would call us back with the information.
We never heard from her or him, it's now a week later and for the first time in my life I'm writing a bad review, because I can't believe a company would do that to someone.
We got other quotes, very quickly, but I would have liked to have gotten one from Hay's because they were recommended by a friend.

Our air conditioning unit went out this summer, so we needed a brand new unit. After getting several quotes we chose to go with Arizona Air Experts, and we are glad we did. We spent lots of time researching air conditioning units and installers, and we feel we ended up with a great product for our needs, and also at a really great price.  Some other companies came and some sounded great and offered some white glove touches, but Arizona Air Experts also included pretty much all of the same things, but the cost for a great quality product (American Standard) was significantly less expensive. We ended up replacing two units because the cost was reasonable for both. Very happy with the service and care of the installers. Start to finish, it was a great experience.

Cool Zone is the BEST! Quick response time both in communication and service when needed. I've never had to wait for a tech. They make me feel like the most important person at the time and aim to please. They explain clearly, up front. They answer questions and address any concerns. I've price shopped and find them to be comparable or less expensive than other places but the customer service and integrity is top notch. They do what's best for me and don't try to sell me products or services I don't need, but let me know when I do need something and take the time to show me why. Highly, highly recommend! Don't waste your time or money going elsewhere!

I contacted Arctic Fox AC through their website on a Sunday afternoon.  I had a non-functioning heat pump that I needed repaired.  I was wary about AC repair companies that charged additional fees for weekend work, so I expected that they would contact me the next day.  Heath, the owner, called me within one hour to talk to me about my specific needs.  He promised that a technician would be arriving at my house within one hour.  Will, the technician arrived exactly when promised.  He looked at my unit and was able to diagnose the problem within a few minutes  He had the part in his inventory on his van and was able to install the part within a few minutes.  It was dark outside where he was working and to add to the potential difficulties, it started to rain and the outlet from the roof poured directly on where he was working.  He told me that he would wait out the rain unless it got too late and return the next day.  The rain stopped within about 30 minutes while he waited for the roof to stop dumping the water right on top of the unit.  He finished the installation within a few minutes.  From the initial contact to the finished repair ended up being only about four hours and the price was exactly what was promised.  I even got a warranty on the work.
I will definitely use Arctic Fox AC again and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Great experience with Gladiate air conditioning. I had an appointment for a routine maintenance appointment. Gabe was great; very honest, knowledgeable and efficient. He found an issue with my air conditioner that could have given out in the middle of the summer and fixed it on the spot. I have been dealing with service people for quite some time now and this is a very good company, highly recommend!!!!

We called Arizona's Dukes of Air yesterday after our last AC repairman tried and failed to fix the AC unit on my mother's mobile home for a week and a half.

Given the frustration with our last vendor we feared the worst, but Anthony arrived just a few hours after our call and was able to quickly diagnose the problem as a faulty wire to her thermostat. We were braced for a long and expensive process but instead had the issue resolved quickly and fairly.

He also identified another area that could be improved but didn't need attention at the moment. I appreciated the transparency and professionalism. It was a big difference from the people we were dealing with. Now my mom is back at home safe in a cool house. Thank you!

The owner David communicated very well showed up in the timeframe expected was super professional and honest. We had our air conditioning serviced and recharged, David went above and beyond and told us we were good until the next service and did not try and sell us something we didn't need.
If you want a honest hard working professional to come out and service or repair your air conditioning unit you found your guy David!

So I got home Wednesday from work and noticed it was still warm in my place. The thermostat read 85 and I was little concerned because the lower temperature wasn't holding. I emailed Lisa since it was a little late, and I received a response very early the next morning. She asked if I could set up an appointment so they could come out and ensure that they did the job correctly. I let them know I programmed the thermostat before I left and that I thought that was the issue, but would definitely let them know if that wasn't the case. Turns out I was a dum dum and didn't reprogram the thermostat, but I really appreciated her follow-up to make sure they had done the job right.

I noticed a leak around my AC unit, gave Mike a call and  he was able to come right out and take care of the problem quickly. Very reliable, explains things clearly, and efficient! Highly recommended.

What a fantastic company!  I discovered one of my units not working on a Sunday.  I read several yelp reviews of AC companies, I chose Alan's Air to contact.  Alan promptly answered the phone and had one of his tech's, Phil, call me.  Phil was at my home quickly.  He was very friendly and informative.  He replaced my AC motor in less than an hour!  I felt that the price was very fair, and honest.  Phil was great!

I called Thursday because my furnace would not shut off.  Fadel was out in a couple hours to troubleshoot the problem.  He provided tons of advice and even offered to walk me through installing a new thermostat should I buy a new one.  He showed me what to do and offered to help over the phone if I had problems.  He would also come and install it if I wanted.  Amazing customer service and they are my go to and I will recommend to all my friends.

I had the unfortunate luck of having both AC units break in the middle of Arizona heat wave above 110 degrees late Saturday night. I must've called around half dozen places on Sunday but they were all booked 3 days out. When I called Proskill Services, not only did they have opening, they said they will be over in 2 hours. The technician, Julio arrived half hour early too. Needless to say, I was very impressed already. Julio fixed one AC, but had to order a part for my second unit. He came the very next day and repaired the second unit. My AC is running smoothly now and it's much quieter too. Julio was very courteous, friendly and professional.
