Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in Phoenix, AZ
A bit of background. We just bought our house a year ago, and the AC was original to the house which was built in 2000. It blew cold, but was extremely loud. I could hear it 3 houses away when I would walk to the mailbox. And it was easy to tell it was ours because it had this weird pulsing sound. We knew it was on its last legs, but we had a home warranty and were just trying to get it through this summer so we could replace it in the spring of 2021. Then Covid hit, and now we're home all of April, May, June, and finally, the last Saturday in July it decided to finally die.
I won't bore you with the intervening week, but if you read my other reviews you might be able to find out what happened. Suffice it to say that by Wednesday evening we'd had enough with the home warranty company and their crappy representatives, and I called my friend Gus. Gus works for Larson, and he was appalled at my story of poor service from the other company that was supposed to fix our system. Their estimated time for repair was 7-10 business days. It was 95 degrees inside our house, and they wanted me to wait another 2 weeks to get it fixed. Gus contacted Claude at Larson, and Claude told me he would be there the next morning (Thursday), bright and early. And true to his word, he was.
Let me tell you a little about Claude. He's an honest, gifted, salesman, even though he doesn't like sales (so he says, he's really good at it). He doesn't just tell you what he thinks you want to hear, he takes the time to educate you on your existing system, it's flaws and benefits, and what options might be best for you. He told me that most homes with solar (like ours) don't tend to get the most expensive, highest efficiency systems as they cost much more and with our low electric bills we wouldn't see return on our investment for many years. A lower priced system, still highly rated, would likely be more practical.
I talked it over with my wife during lunch, and we agreed with his assessment and called him back that afternoon with our decision. He set us up with an installation for the following Monday. Then things got interesting. Due to the pandemic, their suppliers didn't have the all the pieces of the particular system I wanted in stock. He tried all day Friday & Saturday to find them to make our Monday installation appointment. On Monday, he let me know we would have to push to Tuesday, but with a pleasant surprise. Since they couldn't get the system we had chosen by our expected install date, they gave us a free upgrade to a higher rated system. The only additional cost was for the thermostat, as the new system wasn't compatible with our Nest.
So, Tuesday morning, at 6:30, three awesome guys, Mike, Brandon, and Dennis, arrived at our house and removed the old system, installed the new one, set up our new thermostat, and after 10 days I'm finally spending the night in my own house again. Our new system is efficient, powerful, and extremely quiet (check my pictures for a link to a youtube video I made if you want to see just how quiet it is). I cannot sing their praises enough, everyone I dealt with at Larson was professional, polite, and personable. Hopefully it will be another 20 years before I have to replace this system, but when that time comes you can bet I'll be calling Larson again.

What a great experience. They got in contact with me within 10mins of me sending a request for a quote. They came the very next morning and was actually early for the appointment time. Tim came out really quickly and was able to diagnose our issue. He was actually the 4th company we had out for this issue and he was the only one that checked over everything thoroughly and went into our attic. He communicated everything clearly and let us know our options without trying to sell us anything extra. He didn't pressure us in the slightest, and he cleaned/touched up everything when he was done. Would recommend him to everyone and will continue to use him in the future.

These two men are wonderful! After my heat kept going off they came and checked everything very throughly, spent awhile trying to make sure they pinpointed the problem. They gave us some pointers and some options on how best to fix the issues. I am so happy to say that it was not a huge fix but you can tell they try their best to help you anyway they can without having to pay more than you need to! I STRONGLY recommend them and will only use them from now on!

Called and scheduled Caleb, the owner, to stop by for a check up before summer. Caleb is the owner if his own company so he does not work on commission. He is not trying to make a commissions and up-sell his customer. He wants the best so 'we' continue to call him back. I've had a quote from another reputable company and he completely invalidated the quote and when he looked further, advised that the parts are all fine and accomplished a minor fix that was much lower than the quote. Overall you can tell Caleb is a genuine good guy running a good company trying to provide exceptional professional service to his customers.

My wife and I finally decided to kick on the heater and when we did it just kicked out cold air. I requested a few appointments first thing the following morning and cool zone responded first, the next call from another company was hours later. They had a tech here in my home within hours to see what the issue was. After the inspection was complete we were given the unfortunate news that the compressor had given out on us. Our tech verified the unit was under warranty still, gave us a quote on what we would have to pay and got us setup for the next day. To have a job be complete from diagnosis to complete in less than a day made us very happy. From quick response and job well done to having a warm house our experience couldn't have been better. A friend referred Arctic Fox to me yesterday. I called this morning and talked to Tim. He answered the phone, listened to my problem, and had Steve come out almost immediately to look/fix the issue. Steve is very knowledgeable as is Tim. I will only call Arctic Fox from now on. They are reliable, friendly, on time, responsive, informative, helpful, honest, etc. Don't think twice! Update - had a freeze up the day after and had to have the unit looked at again. Heath came out this time and located the problem and fixed it. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. So glad I found Gladiate! We were told we needed our AC coil and blower cleaned by a technician from another company after a tune-up. The price they quoted was insane and they tried very hard to scare me into having it done on the spot.
I got quotes from half a dozen other places. All of them were way less than what the initial company wanted to charge, and Gladiate's was by far the best.
I appreciated the quick response from Gabriel and the immediate availability. When he came out he was punctual, professional and personable. I instantly knew Gladiate was going to be our go-to HVAC contractor from now on.
I told him how dirty our equipment supposedly was before he started. A less honest person could have come back and said, Yeah, it's worse than I thought. I'm gonna have to charge more than I initially quoted. But Gabriel confirmed with before and after pictures that our system was nowhere near that bad. That other technician was exaggerating to justify overcharging us. With Gladiate we paid for only what was needed to get the job done right--an hour of labor and some coil cleaner.
We'll be trusting Gladiate with all our maintenance and repair needs going forward!

My AC went out on a Saturday afternoon in the middle of an extreme heat warning here in the valley. After countless attempts from my landlord to get a company to come take a look at it, we were still left with no AC come Tuesday afternoon. I called bumble bee air conditioning that afternoon and expressed the urgency of getting it fixed immediately. Lisa, the woman in the office, was very empathetic and said she could send someone as soon as he finished with another customer. It was the first time since the whole ordeal happened that my concerns weren't just dismissed but rather validated and being addressed accordingly. I felt as if she actually cared that my family and I were suffering through this heat wave.
Not long after that Jimmy showed up to take a look. He explained to us that the motor was the problem and even went as far as bringing me up on the roof with him to show me a few of the issues. He said it could be fixed the very next day but that he could temporarily have it up and running that night at least for a few hours until the motor overheated again and would shut it off. He said it would at least make it bearable for the night.
The next morning, A man named Steve was sent out to fix everything. He even went over things in detail with our warranty company, who also said, he was incredibly helpful and the most pleasant technician he had ever worked with.
From start to finish, this company was caring, friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. I've honestly never had such an easy and pleasant experience with any company when it came to getting things repaired and this was a breath of fresh air. I'd recommend them to everyone.

I sent a request for a quote to Alan's Air early on a Sunday morning after my A/C quit working during one of our wonderful 115 degree days. Alan called me back within an hour and was out to my house within 3 hours to fix the problem. They changed my capacitor and my A/C was cooling my house within minutes. Alan was courteous and his price was reasonable especially given it was a Sunday and he was slammed with everyone having problems with their A/C's due to the extra warm weather.

Two years ago, Ideal Energy did some work on my old house to improve it's energy efficacy. The results was lower bills this last summer. So when my furnace started spewing carbon monoxide I called them and some other BBB A+ firms. When the bids came in, not only were they more than a thousand dollars cheaper, they where able to install faster than the other firms--they had the furnace installed the next day. We used Sure Temp this past week! Our AC went out and we had a sick baby at home. Sure Temp came out as soon as they could and had our AC fixed and running within an hour of arriving.
