Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in Phoenix, AZ

Juan, with Larson Air just finished up with a post install ac unit check up. Juan was personable, knowledgeable and friendly. He was thorough and completed the inspection while putting up with my barking dogs. He answered all of my questions and gave solid recommendations going forward.  I highly recommend Juan and Larson Air.

These guys were GREAT from top to bottom!  They answered a weekend call, gave me the information straight, and most importantly did what they said they were going to do!  All the guys were great to work with:  Bill who   made the assessment; Brad fielding the call; the install team Mack, Derek, Jason and Manny!  Thank you AHWA for everything!  BTW, the new A/C unit is awesome!!!

Our AC stopped working when it was only 107 outside and First Choice was at our house within an hour and a half. They fixed the issue and Tim and Brandon were awesome. They were incredibly professional and efficient. We will be canceling our maintenance plan with another company so we can switch over to First Choice. We can't thank Tim and Brandon enough!

They came out on a Sunday to help get our AC unit back up and running on one of the hottest days of the year. Quality work, fair price, and educated me on how these systems work to top it off! Highly recommend.

Highest possible recommendation. I called Johnny at 8:30 on a Monday morning in August and he arrived about an hour later!  It took him 5 minutes to determine the start capacitor was out on the compressor. He got a new capacitor from his truck, fabricated a new bracket, put everything back together and the unit was up and running by 10:30!  Johnny is honest, skips all the BS and his pricing is very, very fair.  I literally paid him more than he asked! He is basically the opposite of everyone trying to sell you a new unit. When I mentioned how old the AC units were, his reply was, hey, as long as they still keep the house cold - no need to replace them.   I've been in construction my whole life and this man is the real deal. - Thank you Johnny!

If only all contractors could be like Hays...  *sigh*

My HVAC system, while I'm sure worked fabulously when it was installed in my home in 1992, had slowly become my little housing nightmare.  Like clockwork, it would crap out on Christmas Day, or July 4.  After spending too much money band-aiding it over a few years, it was time to replace the system.

I had Hays provide a quote, along with 2 other contractors.  I ended up selecting Hays, and besides going back to my natural hair color, it's been one of the best decisions of my life.

I was given a firm date and time for my install, and sure enough, the crew showed up on time, ready to work.  It was incredibly well orchestrated.  It's not like they arrived in waves, and stood around on the driveway, waiting for direction.  Every person who showed up knew exactly what to do, and set to work doing just that.  It was quite something to watch, actually.

8 hours later, I had a brand new HVAC system.  And, they even cleaned the floors.  lol

The owner, Chris, came towards the end of the install, and I thought that was a really nice touch.  How many owners actually bother to check on installs anymore?  I had my pool redone, and never saw anyone above the project manager.  So, it meant a lot.

Since the install was completed, I received a few initial follow-up calls from Hays to make sure everything was working fine, and I was happy.  The sales person came a week later to take heating/cooling measurements, to make sure the system was calibrated properly (!).  Better yet, since it's been about a year since the install, the girls in the office actually call me to set up my scheduled service appointments.  I don't remember these things, and if you miss your appointments, it voids your warranty, so I love that the employees stay on top of this for me.

The system itself works perfectly (nothing stops a Trane!  lol), and my bills are 25-30% less per month than what I paid with my old, tired system.  

I couldn't be happier with the experience with Hays, and I have such peace of mind knowing I can rely on them in the future.

Called and scheduled Caleb, the owner, to stop by for a check up before summer. Caleb is the owner if his own company so he does not work on commission. He is not trying to make a commissions and up-sell his customer. He wants the best so 'we' continue to call him back. I've had a quote from another reputable company and he completely invalidated the quote and when he looked further, advised that the parts are all fine and accomplished a minor fix that was much lower than the quote. Overall you can tell Caleb is a genuine good guy running a good company trying to provide exceptional professional service to his customers.

So impressed with the level of professionalism and knowledge of the company and tech who came to my home for the tune up. I didn't have any particular issues that warranted any maintenance, but I had a ton of questions that were all confidently answered and left me assured. I did ultimately move forward with some preventative maintenance, but did not feel pressure to do so. I'll continue to go to Cool Zone in the future for all my A/C needs.

A friend referred Arctic Fox to me yesterday. I called this morning and talked to Tim. He answered the phone, listened to my problem, and had Steve come out almost immediately to look/fix the issue. Steve is very knowledgeable as is Tim. I will only call Arctic Fox from now on. They are reliable, friendly, on time, responsive, informative, helpful, honest, etc. Don't think twice! Call them today! A million thanks! A+++++ service!
Update - had a freeze up the day after and had to have the unit looked at again. Heath came out this time and located the problem and fixed it. He is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. I will be calling him for any future tune up/repaires for sure! Great service. Never has our a/c worked as it does now. Thank you Heath!

Quick to respond, very communicative, speedy fix, fair price, and extremely friendly!  Will be my go-to A/C pro.

We noticed a water stain on our ceiling and freaked out! There had been no recent rainfall and we just had the roof replaced so we figured it wasn't the roof. After a crawl around the attic, we discovered a leaky pipe in the air conditioning condensation path.  We called our home warranty program who referred us to a local company who, despite the urgency of the situation, could not be out for several days.  I headed to Yelp and discovered DUKES OF AIR and was very impressed with the average star rating. I decided to give them a call.

DUKES OF AIR was very helpful in answering my call after a bit of an extended wait. They were able to come out that same day a few hours later. Actually the technician called us as he was done at his previous appt sooner than expected so would we mind if he arrived early? HECK NO, we didn't mind!

The gentleman showed up, appropriately masked, and identified the problem quickly. He had the necessary parts on the van and so he was as able to make the needed repairs in short order. He was extremely polite and thoughtful and we enjoyed doing business with him.

We found DUKES OF AIR worthy of their Yelp rating. They responded promptly, acted professionally and charged a fair price for the work involved. We liked their service and believe you will too.

I had a great experience with David with Biltmore Mechanical.  I called after hours and he answered the phone.  I was scheduled for next day service.  David was professional and prompt.  

The service was for a non functioning air conditioner in my rental property.  He was able to coordinate with the tenant a time and fixed the issue in a timely manner, for a fair price. I was able to pay electronically, which was very convenient.

Very professional installation of a Trane unit, at a good price. Our unit died just as we were about to leave for a Sedona getaway, and they worked with us to start the install the day we returned. The work was nearly complete when we arrived. Completely satisfied with the job and product, and highly recommend them.

Mike and Chase go above and beyond to ensure my AC problems are fixed. Prices are more than reasonable. I'm so thankful I found them.

Based on the other reviews here I scheduled Alan's Air to inspect and service my A/C system (maintenance check up) and repair the damaged fins.  I spoke with Alan -- he seems like a great guy who knows his stuff and I was very much looking forward to him doing the work.  

Alan referred me to the office manager Marcel to schedule the appointment.  I was scheduled for last Tuesday.  Marcel called me the day before to tell me they had to reschedule due to a truck issue.  I said no problem and we rescheduled for that Friday.  I called to confirm the appointment the day before and Marcel told me oh, I was going to call you to cancel.  Marcel said they received some last minute A/C breakdown calls that (according to them) take priority over maintenance and repair calls, even though it wasn't that hot out during those days.    That policy would have been good to know in advance so I could have avoided losing a week of time.

I asked if they could come over on Saturday -- Marcel said they were booked up.  I asked when they could reschedule and was told he had no idea.  He told me that if they received break-down calls any appointment I had would get cancelled and pushed back....not a great option to leave me hanging indefinitely.  I asked Marcel to let me know by the end of the day (Friday) when they could reschedule my appointment as I needed my A/C serviced/repaired and couldn't / wouldn't wait indefinitely having already waited patiently for a week.   Marcel never called back....so much for customer service!

I had Ideal come and just do a checkup on our 3 ton. To my surprise, the owner Alex was the technician. Once again, Ideal has surpassed my expectations. Alex gave me the details of what was needed to be done at a very fair price. Do yourselves a favor and call Ideal for all your HVAC needs. You won't be disappointed.

Fidel responded to me right away and had two of his techs come out and address my HVAC systems.  They are very honest and upfront about the issues your system has and what is wrong with it. I got a service plan because I found them trustworthy and reliable. I will see them back for years to come I am certain.

Honestly, I'd give Greg six stars! He was professional, knowledgeable, understanding and went beyond his call of duty to help me with the insurance company, a septic company and told me to call him if I need him to help with either of these companies once they start their thing. Not only will I recommend this company to anyone who asks I am calling them for some little plumbing projects I've been putting off due to being nervous about professionals. GREAT JOB !

I am grateful for how organized and responsive this company is. I was trying to get my problem diagnosed and an estimate for the repair. It took two tries and the direct involvement of Keith but I did receive what I felt was a fair estimate. While it was difficult to get any other company out to my house these guys were here the day after I called.
