Best Handymans in Phoenix, AZ

This visit Joe & Shawn laid a new flagstone patio for me. 32 pieces of flagstone and 2 tons of sand later, it's absolutely beautiful. I am so pleased! This extended my usable entertaining space another 300 sq ft. They did a great job!!!

I cannot brag enough about Honest Handyman! They are so professional and friendly. I had a project of replacing 7, yes 7 closet doors! No one wanted to touch my tedious project. But Kyle was amazing and so helpful through the whole process! He helped me figure out what I wanted to do with the doors and explained everything thoroughly. If I wasn't completely satisfied with something, they'd fix it and would continuously check in to make sure the work was what I wanted. This company feels like having a friend of the family, who is both an expert and a professional, work on your house. Highly recommend!

I'm preparing for the holidays and had a number of small projects around the house that needed attention.  Jose assembled a queen bed, a rolling shelf, replaced faucet and corroded values, a charcoal grill, and showed me why I didn't need repair to the fuse box latch. :-)  

Great customer service.  He's delightful.

Russ worked on my garage, replacing the roof, repairing rotted out wood, and putting electricity in.  Good value, fast turnaround time and dedication to the job.  Russ went the extra-mile when the electrical work was more harder than anticipated, staying late to get the job done on time. Recommended!

Reading some of Gary's negative reviews it seems that a lot of people have had similar experiences. Gary might be able to do some quality work, but I wouldn't know because he's just not professional at all.

We reached out to Gary after buying a new house in Arcadia a while back and he told us that whenever we were ready he could help us with installing ceiling fans, blinds, and whatever we may need (score!) but when we called him back to schedule something he was sick and told me he would call me back in a week.

A week goes by with no phone call, so I call him-- but no answer... and his vm is full. so I waited a couple more days and called him again, still no answer; so this time I followed up with a text asking if he was still interested in helping us out with our handyman needs and he replied yes and to let him know when we would like him to come help.

Perfect! I called him when I got back to Phoenix and he didn't answer (of course), so I texted asking when he was available and he asked if he could schedule me in for between 1-2pm on Thursday. Yes I replied, then I texted asking him a couple questions about estimates for hanging large blinds and included photos. He ignored my texts that night about the quote/estimate altogether, so I texted asking if he received my messages requesting an estimate to which he replied "Yes, I'll look at them when I'm at your house." (Not really an answer or estimate- kind of slippery).

So today rolls around and of course I'm at home waiting on this handyman to show up (of course I organized my day around him) 14 minutes before he was due for our appointment, he cancels.

He says: "Can we meet Saturday 9-930? Caught up in work."
(No apology for the inconvenience, or wasting my time, just a crap text).

Me: "You know Gary, let me talk to my boyfriend about it. After reading your Yelp! reviews we expected a little more professionalism to be honest."

He says: "Well I've been sick for the last month and been out of commission. I've been trying to catch up on my jobs. Sorry if you feel that way. I know I can't make everyone happy.

Me: "It's not a feeling. You cancelled 15 minutes before you were scheduled to show up and have been unresponsive and not very communicative with me. Those are facts. While I understand it's impossible to make everybody happy, you could do a much better job by being a little more professional.

Then-- radio silence.

Gary, you can make customers happy; how about apologizing when you're wrong and unprofessional instead of #1: making excuses, then #2: blaming me, or acting like I'm the one with unrealistic expectations when I've accommodated the date and time YOU chose and then flaked on. Would not recommend.

First of all, I am not someone who regularly writes reviews, so for me to actually sit down and write one is a big deal, but Luis is a big deal! We had several small repairs and one larger repair that we needed done before we were able to list our house for sale. I struck out with several other contractors/handyman type people who either never responded to my inquiries, refused to drive the distance to our home, or quoted me outlandish estimated hours and cost for what I felt were pretty simple, straightforward repairs.

Luis responded quickly and professionally every time I texted him, scheduled me within a couple of days, showed up on time, did quality work, and charged me a reasonable amount. One job was patching a small hole in the drywall of my son's closet and Luis spent an additional 20 minutes testing out all the various cans of paint I had in the garage (6-7) to try to find the right match to try to avoid me having to buy new paint for such a small job. He also completed all of the jobs I asked him to do in 4 hours, including going out to match paint samples, get supplies, and get a new door for my son's bedroom. Not to mention, his work was top notch - beautifully and professionally completed.

We have lived in the house for almost 6 years and I have been trying to find someone like Luis just as long. I am sad now that I've finally found him, we are moving out of state! We we definitely be calling him for any repairs or issues that come up during the inspection/sale process of our home. I can't recommend Luis highly enough. If you are looking for a handyman, stop looking!

Have you been burned by other handyman services? Yeah, me too. Michele's was the 6th handyman service I contacted, 5 others flaked out on me or stopped returning my calls.  Michele's Master Handyman just does things right. Michele was prompt to return my call, organized, efficient, and very honest. She guided me picking out the best tile for my new backsplash and got the job scheduled right away. The handyman George was fantastic, and got the job completed faster than I expected. I appreciate the little details too: Michele went over how all her employees are background checked and sex offender checked, and as an extra security measure, sent me the specific photo and info of the person coming to my house. (I don't think a male owned company would consider this extra security step--it's one I appreciate as a single female.) I would definitely hire again, I've already given out the info to several friends. Thanks again!

We hired HandyPro Services for our guest bathroom renovation and the project was perfect from beginning to end. Michelle was not only extremely kind but she did an impeccable job with the renovation (new faucets, fresh paint, floor installation). We were quoted a very fair price, Michelle was organized, clean, and very efficient. We couldn't be happier! Thank you so much and we hope to work on future projects together!

This is the second time in 6 months I've left a phone message for Stan and he never returned my call. Seems not to need new biz; maybe he should stop advertising.

Chris was quick to respond to my request a quote and flexible in his scheduling for my project. Price was reasonable and he got my project completed before some providers even responded.

If I could put a negative star rating I would. So unprofessional and lack of customer service between the owner and one of his employees. I was quoted a 1 week remodel that went into a 3 week process & wasn't even completed. my bathroom was/is left a mess and the answer was "hire someone else to fix our mess." I was even referred to this company because of their excellent work on a previous remodel they did but NEVER again

We had several items on our list since downsizing to a condo. Fix leaky toilet, replace ceiling fan, weather stripping for door, install new cellular shades, repair sliding screen, hanging art work. Mark took care of it all efficiently, didn't charge extra for my husband helping, and gave us a senior discount. We're happy to give him a good recommendation.

Good communication. Prompt and professional. Had a quick fix to my issue, door is operating correctly now.

I had Mike over to do a few things for me and he did a great job. He is fast and on-time. Plus, his clock seems to run slower than mine does so he charges less than I expected. Finally, he is just a good guy and taught me how to do a few things so I could handle them next time. Will definitely call again.

Great service all around, answered the phone professionally and with energy! Scheduled the appointment and he was ON TIME a very rare thing with a lot of guys! He quoted me a price and it took him a little longer and didn't charge me extra (The tip was well deserved) He really seems to have attention to detail when it comes to everything and cleans up very well after himself. I have sent his number out to several of my co workers already because I know there will come a time that he will be needed for them! Highly recommend him for anything!

I had a number of tedious drywall and stucco repairs to complete, both inside the home and externally - and Scott was awesome!  He responded quickly, came out with short notice, and repaired everything at a reasonable price.  He's professional, hard-working and a genuinely nice person - a hard combination to find these days.  Kudos to Scott and AMS Handyman Services for delivering above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend their services!

I hired AZ You Wish to install a mini blow up spa in my backyard. They arrived on time and ready to work. Super friendly, good suggestions, and highly skilled. This company went the extra mile and recommended a different vendor for a project he was not able to complete, which in my opinion speaks volumes to his integrity. This company will be my go to as we transition in to our new house in Estrella!

Steve V did an amazing job putting up my lights and ceiling fan. Will definitely use him again!

Eric was very kind and accommodating. He arrived on time and was able to remove all my unassembled Ikea furniture (so many pieces) pretty quickly. I will definitely recommend him to everyone I know!
