Best Handymans in Phoenix, AZ

These guys are great! I requested a quote from them via Yelp and they responded very quickly. I got about 5 quotes from different companies and theirs was the best. They were even able to schedule for an appointment a few hours out. The tech arrived on time, did the initial job quickly and even helped me fix a hose bib in the backyard which wasn't initially requested over the phone. I just asked the tech about it and he told me it was a quick fix that he could do. Thank you so much for the prompt and excellent service!!

Job- Came on time. Completed job quickly and to what was pre-discussed. Overall appears to be ok work; difficult to assess long term, hopefully cracks in the beam in the pics are cosmetic and will hold up outdoors but I did spend my time filling them in and the major ones were there when he was completing the job (and other cracks showed up later), so those seen should have been taken care of as part of replacement or should have purchased better quality materials.

Cost- Received multiple quotes and was comparable to another company, higher than a three others but sometimes you get what you pay for. Paid the little extra based on reviews, responsiveness and ease of scheduling & communicating.

Professionalism- Started talking about current events, which I don't care about, but I didn't really care since it was not affecting the work getting done and if kept generalized and cordial. Won't post what was said but made a comment directed and personal to my family which was not appreciated.

Don't believe I will utilize the company for future jobs and will certainly not recommend to others.

He is prompt, reliable and has very reasonable rates. He installed all my ceiling fans, replaced a sink, painted my rooms, cleaned my pool filter and pool, built me some plant stands,  landscaped my yard, installed an outside vent for my dryer and cooking hood, installed a new thermostat, installed lighting, fixed my garage door, ....and the list goes on!!! His work is Respectable!

I was so lucky to find Russ through Yelp. I tried reaching out to few other Handyman for quotes but did not hear back from some and others over priced. Does not sound like much but to me it was something important that needed to be done same day, chirping smoke detectors at home. They were driving me crazy.  Thank God that I was so gifted that he responded so quickly with a reasonable estimate AND available to come out the same day!! He arrived on-time, professional, friendly and can do attitude with confidence. He was able to answer my questions, confirmed estimate and  immediately got started. Within no time he had all 5 smoke detectors replaced, they look great and no more chirping! OMG... Russ is an amazing hard worker, very brilliant and fully equipped for any job. Definitely from here on out, he will be my go to Handyman, without a doubt.!!! As well, I will be recommending him to all of my family, friends and co-workers!! Look no further. Luis is skilled, competent, dependable and amiable. Completed a difficult job very nicely in less time than I had anticipated. He is honest and his rates are very fair. I'd give him ten stars if I could. Will definitely be calling him again.

We had three ring video cameras and three separate solar panels to install around our house.  We found Michele's Master Handymen on Yelp and decided to give them a try. After leaving a message, Michelle called and help me book Steve for the job. He showed up on time, was very professional, and went in above and beyond. He had installed these types of cameras before and even put one of the solar panels on the roof instead of the wall of the house where I wasn't going to get enough light.  He finished the job in two hours even though he had been booked for three.

In the end, we were very satisfied with the professionalism and quality of work performed.  They were a little expensive, but worth the peace of mind knowing that they are licensed and bonded and that the job would be done right.

Had a last minute drywall patch needing completed. Michelle was quick to respond and even quicker to find a solution and fix with high quality work. Would absolutely recommend.

I had Mike over to do a few things for me and he did a great job. He is fast and on-time. Plus, his clock seems to run slower than mine does so he charges less than I expected. Finally, he is just a good guy and taught me how to do a few things so I could handle them next time. Will definitely call again.

We called a few guys (handymen) to get estimates for a fix it list we needed completed in order to sell our house. It was the buyers post inspection request list that we needed to fix up some things.

There were multiple things that I liked about THE Handyman! He promptly returned our call and came over to the house to go over the list. He didn't just ask for info over the phone but rather took the time to come and give an honest estimate in price and time. He was friendly and trustworthy. At no point did I feel as though I was getting overcharged.  

When it came time to do the repairs, he showed up on time, did quality work, was pleasent and easy to talk to. There were a few items he needed to get parts for. He took care of all the ordering and came back as planned and completed everything with ease.

The renovations done to my home were butiful, Scott was profesional, efficient, and finished everything within the time frame we agreed. I would recommend AMS handyman service to anyone.

We needed an emergency service when our original professional was in a car accident. On less than 24 hours notice, Dave was here, ready to go. The work was quick and good quality. Dave was friendly and really lovely to work with. If you need some help and you're not sure who to ask, start with Dave.

The plus side is that they are efficient most of the time with their appt taking and even send an email confirmation and keep good notes on the service calls. Bad side is, when there is an error, dealing with them is very difficult. I should say one person in particular...Patty. We have called them twice to repair two separate homes. The first one was a break in and asked them to secure the front door. They agreed to send someone that day even after hours. The guy called to say he was on the way and never showed up. We called the office next day and proceeded to have to fight to get a word in with Patty who was defensive and argumentative. I had to ask her to calm down. Fast forward to today. Dispatched another property with two jobs. Tenant madea  fuss about needing one job sooner so HC split the workorder into two and sent two separate vendors resulting in two service charges without getting permission. then we didn't get the confirmation for the change of appt day/time and therefore were not available to approve the work while vendor was on site. My client, the owner, called and conferenced me in with Patty because once again when questioned, she was defensive, argumentative and talking over us instead of listening. she automatically said It wasn't me I don't know what's going on. Well, then instead of arguing, try connecting us with the person who does! Very poor way to treat customers and she needs some training or to be GONE. This is the second unpleasant experience I've had with her. She put Shelly on the phone, who was able to listen, figure out what happened and we moved on. It was a simple 5 minute conversation instead of a 20 min unneccessary argument with Patty. I did convey that they should have gotten approval before splitting the work orders resulting in additional charges and not just let the tenatn dictate course of action. Shelly was very pleasant and knowledgable however because the first vendor no showed in a critical safety issue and the two unpleasant experiences with Patty, I would not use them again.
