I'm going to keep this short and sweet. These guys are fast, reliable, and great. We moved into a new place and the garbage disposal (In-Sink-Erator) crapped out within a week. Called Rocket Plumbing at 8am and Tony had a new one installed before 1p. They're great with email, honoring their coupons, and just plain easy to deal with. Rocket's the only place we'll call with any plumbing issues.

I was cleaning out pipes under the kitchen sink when I noticed the pipe extending out of the wall was very loose. I cut through the back of the kitchen cabinet to see what was going on and the pipe was not even attached. It had become unattached because it was apparently never installed correctly by a DIY project before we lived here. I called Chicago Sewer and Drain Professionals in the evening and they were able to come out the morning of the next day. JR was very helpful and fixed the issue. We then noticed that the water was not draining very quickly. He ran the pipe snake and found the largest most disgusting clump of hair far down the pipes. All is fixed now and I would definitely recommend this company and we plan to use them again for some plumbing work we have for the future.

I have two properties in the city, one a rental, one our home and both are OLD.   I have had Jose and his team out for things like opening drains, to doing pretty extensive rebuilds of 80 year old clay pipe.  Their prices are good, and they do what they say are going to do without any hassle.  I've had some very bad experiences with other contractors, but these are good solid guys that work hard and give you a fair deal.  I can't give much better praise than that.

This review is based on numerous plumbing services costing well over a thousand dollars provided on a single day. Two events occurred that never should have happened. The details:

About a week before the work date, the lead plumber (?owner) Eugene, advised me that  the main water supply in the house will have to be turned off for some of the various jobs, and he warned that when the water is turned on again it is likely to be discolored and have some sediment. A fair and thoughtful warning.  Early in the work day I reminded him of his warning and I suggested that installation of two new replacement kitchen faucets be done last, after the water main had been turned on again and after the system was flushed.  Eugene assured me that there would be no problem.  A few hours later, Eugene told me that he had installed the first kitchen faucet but it was useless because it was clogged by sediment. Yes, just incredible.  

Eugene also installed a new single handle shower faucet.  About a day later, I contacted him and complained that there is just a little warm water coming from the shower while before his repair there was an excellent flow of hot water.  He answered that it sounds like the faucet got clogged due to rust and sediments from the old plumbing.  He recommended to flush the water heater or replace it if it's over 10-12 y.o. but that he'd have to charge me his minimum fee of $150 as he's not responsible for any existing plumbing conditions. I explained that this is not an issue of diminished flow, but rather, the shower handle only turns 90 degrees, from 3 o'clock back to 12 o'clock, and it is supposed to turn 120 degrees. He answered that the shower handle is supposed to be turning from 12-3 according to the shower faucet model you got... I then sent him the installation pdf documenting that the handle was supposed to turn 120 degrees, that the amount of rotation of the handle is governed by a rotational limit stop that is adjustable, and a link to a YouTube video showing how this is done.  (The rotational limit stop (also known as rotational stop limit) is a safety feature in all modern shower faucets to prevent scalding.  It is required according to Chicago plumbing code - § 18-29-417.4.4.)  Eugene's response to this?  The problem is most likely coming from the existing plumbing.

I adjusted the rotational limit stop and fixed the problem myself.

Just sad.  Some other work (even more complicated work) was done very well.  Eugene sounds pleasant and he responds quickly.  Had just one of the above events occurred, I might have been tempted to shrug it off.  But both in one day?  The red flags don't get any bigger or brighter.

I had to have a garbage disposal replaced...  they were so easy to work with.  I called for an estimate which was very reasonable but then I always assume the work will end up being on that high end but it was actually lower!  They called bc they were running early!!  So nice to not sit around and wait until the last second of the time window on whether or not they will show up.  He was very efficient, gave me options for what could/could not be done and cleaned up.  I would definitely recommend them.

These guys were awesome! Jesus gave an estimate over the phone (others wanted to charge us $100.00 just for an ballpark estimate). , so we had a general idea of what it would cost.   This time we were having them replace a water heater.   Super careful moving things, truly treated our home like it was their own.  I must have texted Jesus a a dozen questions coz I am anal and he was always responsive.  Excellent job They are my go to plumber!!! Great service nowadays is hard to come by (post COVID) !  So it awesome finding such a great company.  I highly recommend J Sewer and will use them every time for all my plumbing needs!

They came out Monday for a problem with sewer water coming up in basement when we did the laundry. They cleared the clogs in the pipes. By Saturday it had happened again. This time Kevin came out. He did extensive clearing/rodding and went in with a camera. Turns out the combination of old pipes with a newer low flow toilet means the toilet paper clogs things up. Kevin didn't charge for the Sunday morning visit which included going in with a camera. Hopefully with the change in TP after all the pipe clearing we will be in good shape. He also suggested cleaning out the toilet tank with clr or a similar stronger product as well as cleaning the little ports inside the toilet bowl, we won't need to call a plumber any time soon. But if we do, we will call Greentech.

Midwest Hydro Jetting and Sewer Service responded to a request for estimates I submitted via Yelp for some help with a leaky kitchen sink and toilet.  They responded quickly and based on the strength of their existing reviews combined with the reasonable estimate they provided, I decided to hire them.  I was not disappointed.  They did a great job and I was very satisfied with their work as well as with the whole experience of working with both Mike and Danny.  What I really appreciated is that they took the time to help me understand the problems they found and gave me options for handling them along with their recommendations.  They did not pressure me to go straight to the most expensive solution.  This helped build up my trust in doing business with them and I will definitely use them again.  If you read the statement Mike (the manager) wrote about their company, his description of quality work and customer satisfaction being priorities lined up completely with my experience with them.

This company broke a line while cleaning and caused another trouble.
Water got stuck in my bathtub and called them right after Christmas. The guy came to fix it  quickly. He charged me $350. One month later, I found water leaking from hallway and living room. I actually found out that one joint under bathtub was broken. It was obviously that the damage was caused by their repair guy but the customer service said they were not responsible for any damage. High cost and no warranty at all after the job. I had to spend another $1,000 to replace the piece. M worst experience ever in repair.

I need to move a switch to another place since it is too close to the water. Called Darrell and he came in the next week and worked on it beautifully. Would recommend him for future projects!

Showed up with a mask on and put booties on to ensure floors stayed dry (it was raining). Quickly snaked our drain and confirmed with me the issue was resolved.

Lenny came out and replaced my kitchen faucet, bathroom faucet, shower head, and toilet. He encountered some challenges during the installs but had a good solution for everything, and I was certainly satisfied with the service. I recommend CJ Plumbing.

I did the Yelp thing where they send out requests for quotes to a few vendors and Mike replied right away, and once I had a chance to call him he was able to get to my place about an hour later and fix my kitchen water pressure and connect the water line to my refrigerator. Mike was cool and personable and obviously good at what he does, and the price was fair and in line with a couple other guesstimates I had looked at. A good experience overall and I will call him first next time I need a plumber.

Juan is great, he is extremely responsive and quick, and was able to give me an accurate quote ahead of time. He did a very professional job and explained to me exactly what he was doing at every step. Highly recommended!

Noel was great! Quick and clear communication, was able to quickly come out, identified and resolved all of our problems and did so with complete professionalism every step of the way! Would highly recommend!

He rotted out our tub, assessed pipes and garbage disposal, and installed a new sump pump, along with its backup.

I had a significant sewer issue in a newly-purchased home that nobody really knew the full scope of.
After a horrible experience with another contractor, and a big name plumber unable to come inside of a week and a half, Apex was able to show up within a few days, quickly diagnose the problem, and form a plan of action with a reasonable estimate.
When the dig started and the full scope of the problem became apparent, a 1-day job turned into 3. But Chuck and the crew kept me updated at every step with clear explanations of what, why, and how.

I called, left a voicemail.  When the owner got back to me I texted him my address, name and problem.  He said he'd come over Thursday and would text me when he was on the way.  I had to adjust my schedule for the appointment.  I never heard from him again.

Despite sending them a picture of the exact spot in my wall that I needed patched up, they arrived only to tell me that they actually couldn't patch the spot.  Complete waste of time - spare yourself the headache.

He was helpful in giving me a free estimate. He recommended a small DIY fix and did not charge me anything.
