UPDATE: Brian, the owner, immediately reached-out following this review concerned about our experience. We contacted him and walked through everything. He offered to correct the issue at no additional charge, bring all necessary parts, and send plumbers he could personally vouch for. They completely redid the toilet and redid the piping under the sink. The correction was above and beyond what we would have expected.

I can appreciate that things don't always go as planned and the response is even more critical. He wasn't defensive but really wanted to help us out. At 7 months pregnant without working plumbing - I certainly appreciate how easy he made it.

Not a good experience. Highlights:

-had them come out to quote work for a faucet, disposal and toilet fix
-told us the parts we needed to supply and we had them ready to go
-show up and immediately say we need valves replaced for another $300. If it was that blatantly visible why was it not included on the quote?
-insist that the drainage is correct even though the individual who quoted us said it was absolutely wrong and needed to be changed or overflow from a blockage would go into our dishwasher - at a minimum they need to get their story straight. We still paid the full quoted price even though none of this was adjusted.
- didn't look closely enough at the toilet issue upon quoting to let us know we needed a new handle. Ok, I can take part of that blame we should have asked/had greater general awareness. But, because of that the job was left incomplete. From a pricing standpoint, initially I was told the toilet would be tossed in for free, then the quote was amended to $97 for the toilet which we were charged and told it's be another $90 to come back and install the handle - basically, double. So we still have a non-functioning toilet.
-the job took several hours to complete with at least one extended break (for a faucet, disposal and toilet)
-they were on time and generally pleasant to us
- could not supply a labor warranty to us upon completion

-pricey, conflicting stories and an inability to correctly quote even in home results in 2 stars..

I had water backing up in my basement in Pilsen area and needed help quickly. I put a request on Yelp that sent to 7 different companies and these guys responded under 2 minutes it was crazy fast. David came out the next day and had to trouble shoot a few things because I have an odd setup in my basement. He figured it out fairly quickly after some conversation with his manager and they ended up having to hydrojet my pipes because we use too many flushable wipes. (Ladies and gentlemen learn from us those wipes are NOT flushable. Well they flush they just don't break up as easily as toilet paper) I really appreciated the fact that David took the time to explain that to us. We aren't plumbers and just go about our days. He sees this Sh!+ (pun intended) on a daily basis so to hear what caused the issue has already changed our bad habits. David fixed the issue and even came back the next day with his manager to make sure it was all good for us. I will use Chicago Sewer and Drain Professionals again. Hopefully not too soon but will recommend to family and friends.

Another HuGE note here is I have had plumbing issues in the past because I had a bad contractor so had to have things rechecked and redone the right way. In the past I have always felt bamboozled or swindled by having to purchase something more or felt as though the issue was bigger then it really was and therefore cost more money then originally quoted. I can tell you I didn't feel taken advantage of Infact I felt the price was extremely fair here for how quickly they responded and had my issue rectified.

Well, I moved and needed major plumbing work in the new house. My only call was to Windy City. They had Chris at my house every day on time, and he worked his butt off. He was honest and showed us what he was doing and why, every step of the way. Excellent work and trustworthy company. The only ones I will ever call.

I can only say wonderful things about Eugene and George!  Our hot water heater started leaking (with nothing to drain it) on Friday night.  I messaged Eugene through Yelp around 10pm and he responded an hour later that he could likely help me on Saturday.  Eugene and George were at our house on Saturday by 1pm to fix our unit and installed quickly.  They even suggested a tray and pvc tubing to drain the tank should we have leaking again.

I would suggest these guys to anyone!  I would also use them for any future plumbing needs.

Sound installed a new hot water tank and pump for our 110-year-old condo building the Summer of 2018. They were outstanding from my very first conversation with them, and their work was impressive despite the challenging idiosyncrasies of a large, old building. Their quote was competitive and the work finished right on budget and time.

Jesus responded to my request for a sewer clean out right away and was the best price so far. He showed up on time the day we scheduled and was very professional. He pointed out some corrosion the city had with their sewers and suggested we report it so that it doesn't affect our system. We will call him again for next years cleanout.

Awesome experience with GreenTech. First plumber we called was not up to the task. GT handled it like champs. Clean workmanship. Quality work. Made the list of people we'll call if we need help in the future.

When prepping our house to sell, I had no idea the amount of roots that can develop in sewer pipes. After calling to have our pipes inspected, Adam Avizius arrived to assess any issues and leveraged their camera to identify blockage under a 100-year-old tree in our parkway.  He then used their Hydroblast technology to blow out all roots and deliver a clean pathway for our sewers.  I would HIGHLY recommend Adam and his team. They were very diligent and timely in their response and completion of work. Thank you!

Darrell and Enis did a great job installing two light fans on 15ft ceilings, two pendent lights over our kitchen peninsular and a new outlet for the washer. Enis was very polite, hardworking and particular. He did a fantastic job. We just went through a condo remodel, hiring painters, cabinet installers, countertops, plumbers and floorers. Sims and Sons were the only team to execute perfectly with no problems.

These guys work hard and deserve the business. I referred Darrell before the job had even started because I was so impressed. My one piece of feedback would be to provide a written estimate as well as voice, just to detail what was included. That being said, Darrell was super understanding and we sorted it out. A minor detail which would not stop me using you guys again in a heartbeat.

Showed up with a mask on and put booties on to ensure floors stayed dry (it was raining). Quickly snaked our drain and confirmed with me the issue was resolved.

I can't imagine a better plumbing company. I first called them when water stopped draining down our kitchen sink. They came out, quickly diagnosed the problem, and cleared it. A few weeks later, when we noticed a leak coming from our closet ceiling, I called right away. They came out quickly again, diagnosed the exact problem, explained why the pipe had corroded, and repaired it with no time wasted. Unlike a lot of companies, these guys have always worked efficiently, accurately, cleanly, at reasonable rates, and got the job done right. This is the only plumber I'll call in the future. Thank you!

Great, fast service from Mike the Plumber. He came on short notice to remove then reinstall my kitchen sink plumbing after I had some new counter tops installed. He even fixed my bathroom toilet (slow to fill up) and unclogged my bathroom sink.  The price was very reasonable and he performed everything very quickly. If I ever have any plumbing issues I will be sure to call Mike.

Juan and his colleague were fantastic! I needed a last minute repair since my water heater broke and needed it to be replaced. He answered within 20 min of my message requesting a quote. His service was amazing. He explained what he needed to do and showed me where the issues were. After the repair, he once again explained what he fixed and what different pieces meant. His pricing was also great. I would HIGHLY recommend his services for your needs and will absolutely contact him again for any future repairs that are needed.

This is the second time we have used Five Plumbing.  Both times we learned more about our plumbing.  He was on time, pleasant, clean, efficient and both times solved our problem for less than we thought it would cost.  What he did was find the real problem we were having and solve that!  So He is also knowledgeable and trustworthy!  I will definatly use him again and recommend this plumber to my friends.

Last week I procured the services of Apex Plumbing for a modest problem of a leaking toilet base ring and flush valve replacement. I made the appointment with Coordinator Jenny who conscientiously kept me apprised of the 3 hour scheduling window and the arrival time. Upon arrival, Technician Geoffrey RAMOS assessed the problem, made a diagnosis with a full explanation then quickly commenced repairs. I must say, I have never encountered a plumber like Geoffrey RAMOS who is so passionate about his work! Not only is he a gifted and skilled tradesman but his vast knowledge of plumbing history is refreshing, too. I  found myself captivated while also being educated by his enthusiasm for his profession. A consummate professional, indeed! Technician RAMOS left a lasting impression as well as a stellar repair job. I am truly glad I chose Apex Plumbing & Sewer as I now finally have a permanent, reliable and, most importantly, trusted company for all my future plumbing and sewer needs!! ( After checking invoice, I had to Re-edit this post for accuracy of technician's correct name. Getting old sucks!)

Jan was able to come in(on very short notice) and help out tremendously with the reoccuring plumbing issue in my office. As always very knowledgeable, professional and gets the job done!

I needed an new outlet installed in my basement.  My regular electrian recently retired so I found The Fixer on Home advisers.  I emailed The Fixer on New Year's Day and got a response right away.  Victor was here the next day at noon to do the work.  Victor was prompt, efficient, explained how he was going to do the job, and offered a couple of different options on how to do it.  While he was here, he also did some work on another outlet in the basement.  He also looked at a 2 light sconce where only one of the lights worked.  It wasn't broken but showed me that the bulb wasn't making a connection with the socket.  Victor was here about 2 hours, which included a quick trip to the local hardware store (for the extra outlet repair in the basement).  I thought his price was reasonable for the work (and the extra work) he provided.  I would definitely call the Fixer again.  I was very satisfied with Victor and his work.

Excellent service all around. From the response time to the actual work done at my house all with an upmost professional attitude and dedication.
Cannot recommend them enough!
