After having a recent bad experience with the plumbing service I normally use, I decided to take my business elsewhere and found Rocket Plumbing. Water suddenly stopped coming out of my bathroom faucet and it seemed like the water shutoff valves needed to be replaced. I reached out to Rocket Plumbing and they were able to get someone out early the next morning.

Eric B. was the plumber assigned to my job. He called me about 30 minutes before heading over to my home, talked through the plumbing issues I was having, and gave a preliminary assessment of what the problem and solution could be. Eric arrived on time, was courteous, and made sure to wear shoe coverings in my home. We talked through things again and he gave me a proposed plan for dealing with the issue, as well as a price estimate, and discussed potential next steps if that did not resolve the issue. He ultimately ended up replacing the shutoff valves, lines, and faucet. He worked efficiently and was very transparent with what work needed to be done.

When he finished the work, he meticulously cleaned up the floor and tried to leave things as spotless as possible (which is something my former plumbing service apparently doesn't care about doing). He also gave me tips on how to prevent the issue from reoccurring in the future and avoid having plumbing issues.

Payment was easy and the receipt is emailed to you.  Make sure to mention the $49 discount coupon from their website when you book the job. The only negative about this company is that they get so many calls (since they provide great service) so it may take a few hours until someone gets back to you.

If you want great plumbing service, Rocket Plumbing is the company to contact. If I have any future plumbing issues, this will be the first place I call.

First time dealing with sink pipes and corrosion.  I found this company on Yelp and I spoke with 4 companies total.  Thomas picked up my call, looked at my photos, and shared his recommendations.  He was transparent, explained the reasoning for his recommendations, and worked with me on my requests.  Same day...David and William came out for the service.  They inspected all of my sink pipes, shared their observations, and worked on what needed to be replaced.  The three gentlemen answered all of my questions.  

I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a plumbing service.  They were responsive, professional, efficient, patient, and thorough.  I'll be working with Chicago Sewer and Drain Professionals again.  Thank you, David, William, and Thomas!

Jose is awesome!  I had both a slow draining tub and sink and in 1 1/2 hours- both were just like new!  It was a very thorough, well done job.  As an added bonus--Jose is very nice and pleasant to have in your home.  Just like talking to an old friend....  I would definitely recommend him to everyone!

This review is based on numerous plumbing services costing well over a thousand dollars provided on a single day. Two events occurred that never should have happened. The details:

About a week before the work date, the lead plumber (?owner) Eugene, advised me that  the main water supply in the house will have to be turned off for some of the various jobs, and he warned that when the water is turned on again it is likely to be discolored and have some sediment. A fair and thoughtful warning.  Early in the work day I reminded him of his warning and I suggested that installation of two new replacement kitchen faucets be done last, after the water main had been turned on again and after the system was flushed.  Eugene assured me that there would be no problem.  A few hours later, Eugene told me that he had installed the first kitchen faucet but it was useless because it was clogged by sediment. Yes, just incredible.  

Eugene also installed a new single handle shower faucet.  About a day later, I contacted him and complained that there is just a little warm water coming from the shower while before his repair there was an excellent flow of hot water.  He answered that it sounds like the faucet got clogged due to rust and sediments from the old plumbing.  He recommended to flush the water heater or replace it if it's over 10-12 y.o. but that he'd have to charge me his minimum fee of $150 as he's not responsible for any existing plumbing conditions. I explained that this is not an issue of diminished flow, but rather, the shower handle only turns 90 degrees, from 3 o'clock back to 12 o'clock, and it is supposed to turn 120 degrees. He answered that the shower handle is supposed to be turning from 12-3 according to the shower faucet model you got... I then sent him the installation pdf documenting that the handle was supposed to turn 120 degrees, that the amount of rotation of the handle is governed by a rotational limit stop that is adjustable, and a link to a YouTube video showing how this is done.  (The rotational limit stop (also known as rotational stop limit) is a safety feature in all modern shower faucets to prevent scalding.  It is required according to Chicago plumbing code - § 18-29-417.4.4.)  Eugene's response to this?  The problem is most likely coming from the existing plumbing.

I adjusted the rotational limit stop and fixed the problem myself.

Just sad.  Some other work (even more complicated work) was done very well.  Eugene sounds pleasant and he responds quickly.  Had just one of the above events occurred, I might have been tempted to shrug it off.  But both in one day?  The red flags don't get any bigger or brighter.

Great service so far. Asked them out late to fix a shower and said they could come back to care of a few other issues but they just took care of pretty much everything. Guys were efficient, courteous and appeared to do good work.

My friend recommended J sewer and drain plumbing, as she had recently had some plumbing issues and could not have been more pleased with the work that they did. Based on her recommendation, we called them and not only were they able to come the same day but they were actually a little early. The two gentlemen that did the work were extremely professional and knowledgeable. Additionally, in light of Covid, they were also very responsible and wore masks and gloves to put our minds at ease.
I would definitely use them again!!

I've not had much luck with plumbers, until now. The sewer line was clogged   and soggy toilet paper started to back up into the basement. I searched on line for a plumber, and saw the great reviews for Midwest Hydro Jetting on Yelp. I called, spoke with Mike, and explained the problem. I  was hoping for a quick fix since I had family staying with me.  Of course he was familiar with this type of back up, and said it might be a day or so until someone could come out, but if the day's jobs were finished early, he would send someone. He also gave me a price range for the work that would probably be needed to be done, which was very reasonable.  Luckily the day's jobs ended early, and Dan arrived in the late afternoon. He knew exactly what to do, and power rodded the line until it ran clear. The cost was very reasonable and I was given a 30 day warranty.  Unfortunately, the line backed up again after a few weeks. Dan came back out, with Jose, and power rodded again, with a different head on the line. What came out of that line on the end of the rod head  was disgusting. He called it a 'mush ball', or something like that. It was a mass of toilet paper, wipes, and a small piece of plastic or cellophane, and had been about 75ft down the line. I previously instructed everyone to not dispose of wipes, flushable or otherwise, in the toilets. Of course it was group denial as to anyone doing so.  Anyway, the warranty was honored,    the line has stayed clear, and I have removed every package of wipes from the house that I could find. Besides being knowledgeable, professional, and very efficient, Dan is very personable too. Most people don't call a plumber until it's a dire necessity. They have the advantage, and some use that advantage to make more of the situation, and up the cost of repair.  This time it was a pleasure to finally find a company that did not do that. This old house will probably need a plumber again at sometime, and I would not hesitate to call them again if anything else 'comes up'.   I would highly recommend Midwest Hydro Jetting to anyone in need of great plumber services.

My toilet had been leaking every time I flushed it; going onto the bathroom floor.  Stopped using it for a month, since I was busy traveling back and forth from Chicago to Detroit to help out my father, who was in the hospital for over a month.  

Captain Rooter sent out a great service technician in Adam A.  He did a tremendous job in quickly analyzing the situation and applying a fix to the problem.  He worked fast and was clear in his explanations.  I would highly recommend Adam, if you call Captain Rooter.  

He even threw in a free part he happened to have to help with the cost.   He was friendly and efficient.  He provided info on home owners insurance and recommended a good company too.  Overall a great job!!  I'm very relieved to have this taken care of.

I can't say enough about the service I received from ABV!  My hot water heater went out - other plumbers were giving me dates a week or more away!  Not sure how we would have showered - it's 10° outside and I think our water was even colder!  Talked with them last night and they were out here by 8:30am!  Did great work and I am looking forward to a nice hot shower

I called CJ Plumbing when the sump pump in our 4 flat failed, received a call back from the owner immediately, and had the pump replaced within a couple hours.  He (Dmitry) spent the time to ID the right size pump for the vertical clearance, and actually replaced the original with a more powerful pump based on the tech's input after arrival.  Warranties and cost of the job were clearly explained upfront.  This occurred during the Covid 19 crisis and the tech wore protective gear and sprayed alcohol on all surfaces he touched.

I highly recommend CJ Plumbing (Dmitry) .  Speaking directly with a knowledgable, dedicated owner made it a lot simpler to understand, budget and get the repair done.

We began calling multiple companies as we had limited time in Chicago with my 95 year old aunt before heading back to Florida. Juan was quick to respond and come to give us an estimate. We showed him 3 areas on her 90 year old pipes that had leaks and he gave us a price. During the repair he found the leak was way inside the wall. He said he'd try to reach it through an access hole already in the wall but may need to go by the actual tile/tub side. Oh no we thought. He did repair using the access side. Every step of the way he explained what he needed to do. We also threw in a possible kitchen sink and cabinet replacement which he was ready to tackle with his teenage son and my husband but we decided not to do it in the end. He had already cut a hole in the counter top which was perfect and we are holding onto it for future use. His son Eddie, was a great laborer and very polite. We will never use anyone else for our plumbing needs in Chicago. No one could beat his prices for the amount of time he spent with us. Thank you so much Juan and Eddie.

Noel was righteous, helpful, and got the problem solved for us. He laid out the options very clearly and there were was no ambiguity. He even tried to help me over the phone to avoid having to have him come out. We're planning to replace a water heater in the near future and I will definitely be checking with Noel first. Highly recommended.

These guys were quick to quote and provide the service. Had a leaky outdoor spigot that could only be replaced by cutting a hole in the ceiling and removing it from inside. It took a bit longer than Jon thought due to the tight space, but he kept the same price quoted and did a clean cut so replacing the drywall was easy for me to do solo.

Jan came out very promptly and assessed all of my little and big plumbing issues in our very old home, explained how he would address each issue, and completed a thorough written estimate very quickly.  The price, as others have pointed out, was very reasonable, but the confidence I had and now have in the quality of work he did was, as the commercial says, priceless.

I will definitely be using Vanguard Plumbing in the future for other projects.

Victor is excellent and professional! I had spoken to him a few months back but we never got connected to fix my bathtub drainage problem. The bathtub draining definitely needed work so I contacted Victor on Sunday and he came the next morning Monday to fix the drainage issue. Super reliable Plumber! Carlos was extremely professional as well as nice and courteous. He did a perfect job of switching out a chandelier for us and couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Eric did a fantastic job.  Made it out the next day just before the holiday weekend when I needed him. Pricing was fair and even when stores were closed early for the holiday he was able to make it happen. Highly recommend.
