Brian and his team really came through for me on this one. Last Saturday they came out to fix our water heater.  Knowing that the parts stores were closed on Sundays they made quick work of fixing my water heater at what I thought was a very fair price.  I would highly recommend them to him.

David and the crew were great on time and ready.Very good detail explaining my issue, my main line clogged he clean it and made sure the pipe was good to go turn out to be on the city end of the pipe had thick roots.

Jose was great!  He accommodated our schedule and fixed the issue for a great price.  Highly recommend.

First Chicago Plumbing is great! They responded right away when I contacted them. I've used them twice now and they did a great job both times. Once for my toilet which was making a loud noise when flushing. The second for a leak we had in the kitchen sink. They came right away and fixed the leak and replaced the old faucet with the new one I'd purchased. They are honest and will not pull a fast one.
I'd recommend their business to anyone.

I'm writing this as one of the many fine plumbers from Green Tech fixes an ancient hose spigot that literally broke off my house.  This is one of many, many jobs they have done on my 80 year old home, both repairs of old house problems and add on's of modern features.  Can't say enough about their consistent and friendly service and the confidence I have in their team.  I know they travel a bit far to service my house in Highland Park, but I am super grateful they are willing to make the trip!

Do not use this company!  They use unlicensed plumbers that have significant criminal history that caused over 25k of water damage in our condo!  (You can find full names of workers in other reviews...doing a quick google search will show you that they have robbed stores, drug history, etc).  
We called captain rooter to fix a leaky faucet on 2/15.  They send Dylan and Jonathon.  They had to cut into our walls by our toilet and faucet because they said we had a bad shit off valve.  They cut the pipe out around our faucet.  All fine.  They were going to come back the following week to fix it.  Never heard back from Dylan.  We called the main line again.  They then sent us Adam and James.  Adam then said if we pay him directly, he can do the job cheaper.  Fine!  We don't care!  Just want the job done.  It had already been 2 weeks with holes in our walls and no sink upstairs.  We paid him $1300 in cash.  He put 'shark bites' in our walls.  We thought the job was fixed and then woke up on a Saturday morning to water leaking in our downstairs foyer ceiling...upstairs floors ruined.  Downstairs floors ruined.  Called Joel again from Captain Rooter...he then sent Andrew.  Andrew came in and could not believe the damage and destruction that the previous 'plumbers' caused.  Andrew was there all day fixing the problem and then charged us $2028 for the job.
We are currently dealing with our homeowners insurance and all sorts of damage done to our condo.  Joel from Captain Rooter has been less than helpful.  He states it's not his fault.  
Just an FYI, I learned a lot about plumbing law during all of this.  Whenever you get a plumber, ask for their license and COI.  You can also look them up on IDPH website by name to verify.
Do not use this company!!!  If any one wants more info, I'm happy to share...just don't want to be a total Karen.  Just trying to save someone else from going through this DISASTER.  
Every plumber they send us was not licensed.  As a consumer, we had no idea this was a thing!  On their website, it clearly states licensed, bonded, insured.   They are most definitely not.

I needed some work at 2 of my locations , found this company on Yelp and called , Darrell showed up he was very professional and helpful, ended up hiring him he did an amazing job , will definitely work with him again

Requested quotes through Yelp for a toilet install on Sunday night. ABV was the first to respond and had the best price. They showed up at 10 am the next morning and professionally installed the toilet and took away the old one. Couldn't be happier!

On a Sunday, our ejector pump died. We started a help claim from yelp and CJ Plumbing was one of the first to reply. The owner, Dmitry, was available on a Sunday to troubleshoot our situation over the phone. He figured out a way to temporarily bypass our issue. This saved us money by being able to wait until normal hours to get service. It was amazing and provided us with a huge relief!
The work was very prompt and expertly completed. We would definitely recommend CJ Plumbing to anyone!

This was the second time we have used A&Y plumbing and we couldn't be happier. After the first time my husband saved his contact info so when our sub pump went out we knew who to contact. Both times Juan had a very quick response response time. He is always incredibly efficient, and professional. Prices are fair and honest. Cannot say enough great things about Juan!

Our outdoor spigot was leaking and I was hoping to get it fixed quickly because our outdoor watering system for plants is attached to it so needed to keep it on during hot season. I called and someone was able to come out the same day (no extra charge to come so quickly). Geoff was our plumber and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. I was nervous when he said he had to cut a hole in the ceiling but he made a very minimal, clean cut hole and even offered to vacuum up after! He showed me the how to work my new spigot and charged me what I thought was a very fair price... also it was what he quoted to start with which I appreciate. Highly recommend apex and Geoff!

Jan was very responsive after sending a message via Yelp to repair a clogged kitchen sink. Jan and George made time for us the same day and fixed a deeply clogged sink and even spent time to clean up after a messy job. Highly recommend.

Victor came out for an evening emergency situation & went above & beyond to solve the clog issue. He advised that the issue likely should not be my sole responsibility in my condo building as it was 50 feet away from my place. He offered to speak to my landlord/building manager for me & then provided further detail on a 2nd revised invoice nearly immediately. I will likely be reimbursed and I'm thrilled, I wouldn't have known it wasn't my problem if he hadn't told me.

I have waited for months to leave this review, thinking that they could remedy the situation. I'll get to the point quickly and say if you need a TV mounted or some other basic task completed, they will do a good job and I like that they pay their workers a fair wage. I'm more than willing to pay extra for that. If you want any specialized work or anything that requires more work than something you could do yourself but you'd rather farm out, DO NOT use Fixer.

The first time I used them, I had a couple of tvs mounted and they did a great job. It did take them a long time and the fee was pretty big. I can't find the invoice but I think it was around $800 or so. Due to the above rationale, I was fine paying the fee.

The second time I used them, I asked that they assemble a standing desk. It took HOURS. The guy couldn't figure out how to adjust the desk after he put it together and wanted to call the job done and leave without adjusting the ADJUSTABLE desk. I figured it out myself (he hadn't put everything back on the desk and this is a non-motorized adjustable desk which requires weight to work).

The third time I used them is the reason that I finally had to write a review. I moved into my house in May and my microwave broke within a few months of me moving here. I realized that the builders had taken a short-cut and instead of installing a drawer microwave, had installed a countertop microwave and put some supports in the cabinet cavity/threw a trim kit on it and called it a day. I explained the situation to Fixer and asked if they could help me. The customer service team replied that they could definitely do that and would send someone over. Upon arrival, the person they sent said he could absolutely not handle this job and that I need a cabinet specialist and then the charged me $129 for the visit, which they eventually removed after I insisted they do so. They then reached out and said they wanted to fix the situation and they said they had found a microwave and someone to install it. Great. I'm always willing to give someone an extra chance. They show up with a microwave... which is broken. So, after I made sure to be home from work/scheduled this way in advance, still no microwave. They were very apologetic so I (again) held off on writing a bad review. They told me customer service would reach out. Days went by... nothing. I reached out to them and they apologized and said that they had ordered a new microwave and would be in touch when it was delivered which was scheduled for January 13th. The 13th came and went and I again reached out to them and they said, oh we have the microwave. We can install it on the 17th (MLK Day). I hesitantly agreed. They arrived today with the non-broken microwave. This time the installers realized right away that the microwave didn't fit the cavity. Keep in mind that they had already been here twice and had measured the cavity. They were so apologetic and it wasn't the actual installation team's fault so I just nodded and let them leave. THEN they charged me $129 for the visit again, which I'm currently asking them to remove.

Overall, I think if you have a quick handy-person job, they do a pretty good job but anything that requires any level of preparation, measurement or skill, I'd recommend going somewhere else.

Had an excellent experience with Drain Works. They helped me work through a number of violations and come up with cost-effective solutions in a restricted timeline. Excellent communication and thought partnership.
