Great service! The plumbers were knowledgeable, courteous, and explained things in a way that was easily understandable. They worked quickly, and when they finished, I was pleasantly surprised that they cleaned up, which I assumed we would have to do. We even shared a few laughs. Highly recommend.

Thomas is incredible! When I first called him, he offered me advice on how to unclog the pipe before even sending someone out to me. He said, let me save you money, if you do this and it doesn't work, feel free to call me back. Well I needed his services so after a week, I called him back and he sent his team in THAT DAY. Within 30min my drain problems were gone and it was all because of Thomas and his excellent team.

If I ever have another drain related problem, this company is my go-to! Highly recommend

This winter some of our pipes froze when it dipped below zero outside. On a day where this was probably very common, Windy City came out that afternoon and thawed the pipes. They came early enough that no pipes burst, and their fee was reasonable. It was $250 per frozen pipe for two plumbers. We had three pipes *soft cries* We would use them again for any plumbing problems. It took the dudes probably 2.5 hours and this included cutting into drywall (non exposed pipes)

Outstanding service! They called to let me know when they would arrive, they were neat and professional, provide helpful recommendations for avoiding future service issues, they unclogged the drain thoroughly at the price quoted the previous day and then installed a new utility sink for me for a very reasonable price - this was outside of the original service request, but they went the extra mile to help me. I have no hesitation in recommending and/or calling them for service again.

I hope I never have any more plumbing issues but if I do, I know the first and only person I will call is Sound Plumbing. I had an issue with my toilet not flushing properly. I describe the problem over the phone and Kevin quoted me a price. And I won't state it here because each plumbing issue is unique, but after the work was done the final bill was only slightly hire than the quoted price. Found out the toilet was not installed properly. (Doesn't surprise me since the developer of my condo is pretty much a crook). And not only did he fix the toilet, but as he was repairing it he explained his reasoning for what needed to be done. I never felt ripped off. The other plumbers I called and I called a quite a few, told me they would charge $40 -$50  just for coming out, and this charge was a totally separate from the bill I would get to fix my problem. Grest prompt service.  I have used twice in the last 6 months.  Once for a clogged line to the sewer and most recently for a failing sumpump.  The owner answers his phone directly and both times was able to come out within 24 hrs.  Most importantly he was able to identify and fix the problem quickly.

Called Green Tech Wednesday afternoon about a bathtub drain issue and a question about water pressure.  Tim was at my house the next morning.  He fixed both issues within about 2 hours.  Tim explained to me what he was going to do and how much it might cost before starting.   He was not condescending like some can be when talking to people who have no clue how to fix something.  I highly recommend their professional, friendly, quick service.

Needed last minute pluming needs and they showed up and did a great job. Would recommend to anyone needing plumbing help.

UPDATED 8/26:

The owner of this company, Jesse, called me to apologize on behalf of the contractor who charged me for not doing anything. He confirmed that the initial consult from Captain Rooter IS free, and promised to issue a refund. Removing one star due to the earlier experience, but adding three to my overall rating because it meant a lot to me to get that call. If I end up using their services for another project that goes well, I'll update this again to reflect that.

I've never left a bad Yelp review (it's true, check my profile), but I want to warn people because I hate contractors that do this (and Captain Rooter said on the phone that they were different). I woke up to a very loud persistent jackhammer type sound coming from the bathroom around 4AM. It eventually stopped an hour or so later, but it was alarming enough that I called Captain Rooter's 24/7 line during the chaos and booked a 9:30AM consult, which I was told was free.

The guy arrived this morning, and looked into the toilet tank (I had removed the lid already). He then diagnosed it as trapped air in the pipes and said there wasn't really anything to do. He said if it happens again, it's a whole building problem and I should contact building management. He then said I owed him $125 for coming out, but if I had $50 in cash he would take that instead to save me some $$. I don't have cash on me, and said I didn't think there was a charge. He said he would call the company and I could Zelle them. The lady on the phone was like, Yep, there's a $185 service fee, here's where to send the payment -- when I corrected her and said that the plumber had said $125 she went, Oops, yes, it's a $125 service fee if he touched anything. At this point, I have been on the phone paying longer than the plumber looked at anything.

I paid, he left. But I feel really taken advantage of. Being a solo female homeowner is a privilege, but it also sucks, because contractors see you as just someone to charge $125 for two minutes of no work for during a free consult.

Called their main line- left a message. Received a text since it was a Sunday and was able to set up an appointment.
They texted to confirm the day before and gave us a time window.

They showed up early and asked if they should wait to come in. Very polite.

They came in and got straight to work. Fixed our wires in our junction box, hung a new light, new dimmer and made sure the breaker wasn't being tripped by the wires that were in the junction box.
420 was the total price.

They were quick and didn't leave a trace that they had been there except the new fixture. Will use them again when we are ready for more work to be done.

Hristo from ABV plumbing showed up on time as promised. He had a mask and a pair of bootie to cover his shoes. We weren't able to use the kitchen sink for exactly 1 week which was so inconvenient. He worked so hard to open the drain that the previous company couldn't resolve. He used a 50 ft cable to open the drain. He was so patient and kept cool the whole time. I'm so happy that we now have a working kitchen sink again. I woupd strongly recommend using them again. Thank you so much. Great job Hristo!!!

We've used CJ Plumbing now for a hot water replacement, faucet replacement and addition of a pump for our hot water heater. Each time they have been easy to reach and schedule with. I appreciate that Dimitry is mindful to save trips and time by properly diagnosing the issue before starting the work. They've fixed our plumbing issues and will be our go-to in the future!

I did the Yelp thing where they send out requests for quotes to a few vendors and Mike replied right away, and once I had a chance to call him he was able to get to my place about an hour later and fix my kitchen water pressure and connect the water line to my refrigerator. Mike was cool and personable and obviously good at what he does, and the price was fair and in line with a couple other guesstimates I had looked at. A good experience overall and I will call him first next time I need a plumber.

Juan came out to replace a wax ring on a toilet. He quickly did the work and the toilet is now very secure. He was  friendly and able to do the work with a days notice. Reasonable price and very responsive. I would definitely use him again for any plumbing work I need done.

Contacted Noel on the weekend to see if he can replace two faucets on Monday and he come over a did a fantastic job.  We will call him again.  Thank you Noel!

We had a reoccurring issue with sewage leaking from our drain stack onto the sidewalk near our house. Previously, two different plumbers worked on the problem--the first at a very hefty sum. Jeff of Apex, came out to give us estimate. After thoroughly inspecting the problem, answering my numerous questions and giving me a logical explanation of the problem--I decided Jeff was the guy for the job! He located the root of the problem to a drain pipe in the basement. He rodded it and replaced its outdated seal. I really must highlight my appreciation for Jeff's patience in answering my questions, and educating me about the problem while maintaining his professionalism. If necessary, I'll definitely use Apex again!

As someone stated before there is no other company you should use for plumbing work in Chicago. Excellent customer service, very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Jan and George explained everything in detail as they were scoping the pipes in my building and showed me what the issues were. I highly recommend using Vanguard for any and all plumbing needs.

I arrived home to my gas water heater making noise. Victor responded well and replaced it the same day. If you're looking for someone honest, reliable and responsive, Victor is your guy for the job.

Highly recommend this service. I had such a seamless experience from start to finish and enjoyed my time with my handymen. They also had a woman handyman which as a woman and Mom I really appreciated!! Will recommend to friends.

Eric at Drain Works was at my location in 3 hours same day to take a look at a sub pump issue that turned out to be a back flow problem.  He diagnosed, explained my options, got the new part and fixed it.  Extremely personable and they know what they are doing.  Very happy with Eric and Drain Works and will be on my speed dial as its hard to find good honest plumbers....especially in the city!
