I noticed this morning that I didnt have hot water.  This has happened before so I tried to re-ignite my pilot light a few times, but it didn't work.  I called my normal service company who was so slammed they couldn't see me until Thursday of next week.  Now I could shower at my gym a day or two, but Thursday...wow.  

So I came to Yelp and searched for water heater repair and these guys were at the top of the results. The guy who I spoke with wasn't sure he could squeeze me in today - being right before the holiday - but he said he would try.  He called me back 5 min later and said someone would be by within an hour.  So I'm already a fan.  

Anthony came by earlier than expected.  He checks out my heater and in 5 min it's working again.  It *was* the pilot light that I had unsuccessfully worked with earlier.  Now I feel like a total idiot b/c I've lit it before.  Ugh.  He said it was no big deal and didn't charge me for the visit.  He told me what to do if it goes out again, and we chatted a bit about future replacement since it is an older unit and probably doesn't have much time left.  

I'll definitely give them a call for future plumbing needs.  I already have some projects in mind.

Chicago Sewer and Drain Professionals were amazing! I contacted them via Yelp late at night about a leaking sink. They responded within hours and arranged to come by the next day. When they came they were able to figure out my leaking sink in just a couple of minutes, had the supplies to fix it on hand, and offered to look at another slow draining sink in my bathroom while they waited to make sure the fixed sink was no longer leaking. They also gave me so many great tips on how to handle clogged sinks in the future. I can't recommend them enough! I will definitely call them the next time I need plumbing help.

We had a major plumbing problem, actually it was a nightmare. We needed an inside sewer pipe rerouted, which I new from the start. I called a 3 different plumbers to see who I felt comfortable with and knew what to do. The first plumber saw what needed to be done and ran. The second plumber seemed ok. Then Jose came out, he knew what the problem was and guaranteed his work 100%. This company is the absolute best company I've ever dealt with and I've dealt with many. They came out when they were suppose to. They were very upfront and the only company that was a completely confident in what needed to be done. They worked till 11pm until the job was finished. When have you ever seen that???They cleaned up!!! The cracked sewer pipe is now in the past....  I had Jose come back and re-install my garbage disposal which 3 other plumbers supposedly fixed. All of the other plumbers were to lazy to cut the connecting pipes properly so it wouldn't sit on an angle and leak. I can't believe it took 4 plumbers to fix the problem. It  took Jose less than a half  hour  to fix it...  Don't hesitate one moment to call this company. You won't ever meet better people. Thank You Jose, Bill & Brian !!!!

Our original contractor made a mess of our shower waste drain to the point that water wouldn't drain after taking a shower. I reached out to First Chicago Plumbing for help and they responded quickly, gave me a very fair bid and performed the work quickly and pleasantly. I now have an awesome shower that drains!

Kevin has done 2 repairs for me over the past year and they were both great experiences. He's very professional, reasonable and helpful. The most recent repair got a little complicated due to my building's water pump system. He came in the next day after the repair was completed to help us figure out the water pump - something that my own building maintenance man was unhelpful with. Now, not only is my bathtub faucet working, our building's water pressure is amazing. Very happy.

Jesus came out same day and helped solve our relatively easy issue. He was very reasonable and we will definitely call him in the future. Good to have a reliable plumber on hand!

I requested a quote on Yelp to find a plumber for a line backing up with raw sewage into a walkway. Mike and another guy came and rodded out the main line and found a problem with a small sidewalk drain also.  They responded and came within a couple of hours.  Were knowledgable, fixed the problem right away, were very fair and also so pleasant.  Their work was guaranteed. I wont use another plumber after this.

We had an emergency gas line leak in our basement a day before we were supposed to go out of town on a Saturday. After confirming the leak with People's Gas, I quickly searched through YELP reviews and liked what I saw with Captain Rooter. They called back right away and within a little more than an hour, Patrick K. showed up at our door, quickly confirming the diagnosis and working skillfully to get it repaired.  He answered our questions, did great work, and reassured us that it was all fixed.  Problem solved -- very, very rapidly.  It doesn't get much better than that.

We just bought a 1924 bungalow that had a panel from 1967, wasn't grounded, and needed to be moved to the side of the house from under the porch. Darrell was no-nonsense, got us scheduled within a week of his assessment visit (when other companies were telling us it would be months before they could get us in). Anel then came out with an awesome team (Eli, Graham, and Delvin), and knocked out the big job in one day. So friendly, fast, knowledgeable, and competent! Hire these guys!

Our bathroom sink became completely clogged on a Saturday morning. It's the only upstairs bathroom in our home and needless to say - a nightmare when unusable. I called Hristo at ABV and he was able to come out and clear the drain in a matter of hours. He also repaired a leaky drain in another washroom. Price was very reasonable with excellent customer service. Highly recommend ABV!!

Great, fast service from Mike the Plumber. He came on short notice to remove then reinstall my kitchen sink plumbing after I had some new counter tops installed. He even fixed my bathroom toilet (slow to fill up) and unclogged my bathroom sink.  The price was very reasonable and he performed everything very quickly. If I ever have any plumbing issues I will be sure to call Mike.

I had an issue with a wiggly, leaky toilet. They responded quickly to the call. While here, they communicated the problem and gave a fair quote. Every step was communicated. They completed the task and was so kind. I'm so grateful!

Wonderful experience this week with Apex. First, their answering service is very thorough and professional. (I didn't know anyone still used answering services!)  Jon came out to help with a toilet tank that wasn't filling. I appreciated that he explained everything that was going on in the tank and how he was going to fix it. Very professional demeanor, knowledgeable and friendly. Well done.

I can't say enough about how happy I am with their work. I had several issues in my kitchen and bathroom and not only did we get a lot of questions answered via texting pictures but they were on time (even early and patiently waiting in front of our house until their scheduled arrival time) clean, efficient and super polite, did the work all in 1 day, and didn't give me any surprises at the end. The estimate process was without any BS and prices were fair and reasonable. What possibly could I ask more of Vanguard to do?

Fixer was super easy and a great experience from the beginning. It is really easy to sign up for what you need online and the quote they gave me for the work was 100% accurate. Katie came to fix two big holes in my place that my dog made and she was very professional, friendly, and efficient. Paying was also easy as they send you a digital invoice after where you can just pay with a credit card. I highly recommend!!!
