Sam, the plumber, was prompt and professional.  He immediately found the problem and resolved it.   Awesome!

Thomas is extremely unprofessional! I was calling this company out every 2 to 3 weeks for emergency plumbing services because the floor drain in my business was constantly overflowing with sewage. The plumbers that came out were always pretty helpful but whenever one of them would mention that the issue was in the mainline, I would call the office to follow up only to have Thomas contradict whatever the plumber said and argue with me that people were flushing paper towels down the toilets. The last straw in dealing with him came when Thomas promised that he would send me the video taken by the last plumber after he came back from the field but I didn't hear back from him. When I called a couple of days later to follow up, he blamed me for not calling him back sooner and stated that the video was no longer available and said that I should've asked for it the day of service...which I did! After paying them nearly $2000/mo in emergency service calls, you'd think the customer service would be much better but after having to argue with Thomas multiple times on the phone, I eventually hung up on him after stating I would take my business elsewhere. I do NOT recommend!

I had a toilet replaced by Windy City. The entire process from start to finish was done very professionally. For the appointment, I received a call back in a very reasonable amount of time. Jose was able to give me a ball park range for the work which is always helpful. I required a Certificate of Insurance for the Condo Association (River North high rise). The removal and install was done in under an hour. Very smooth process and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend this contractor.

I hired Sound for two jobs--one doing some small repairs on sinks and toilets, and another installing a new faucet on my kitchen sink. The booking process was quick and easy, and the plumbers who came out were efficient, friendly, and knowledgable. I will definitely work with them again!

I've had these guys come round twice to deal with emergencies (very old house, lots of issues to work through), and they were so easy to deal with each time. Great problem solvers and I would highly recommend.

I have to give a detailed review because my experience was absolutely amazing. If you don't want to read the full review but want to know a short version: I HIGHLY recommend MHJSS, not just recommend but HIGHLY!

ok, so here is the fine print:
I've been smelling a sewage smell on my 1st floor, coming from my bathroom for the last few years. It comes and goes and when it goes it leaves long enough for me to forget about it. Just recently it came back and is stronger than ever, so much so that I can smell it moving throughout my home. I have a family plumber I've been using since the '90s and I'm big on small business so as usual I called and got my home rodded. Since purchasing my home in 2014 I get an annual rodding done since I can't watch what my company and children flush down the drain.

Wanting to get a 2nd opinion I googled and came up with Mr. Rooter, sent a message on their website, and set up a date and time for them to come to consult. I took off work since they told me it was a window from 12-3 pm. To make a long story short, I work overnight and was asleep when they called me at 8 am the day of to tell me they would arrive at 12. Since I missed the called they canceled my appointment. I was upset when I woke up at 11 am to get this voicemail. I took to google again, I had no patience nor desire to deal with this (Plus they told me since I lived on the south side I needed to pay $90 extra for the plumber to come south).

Google lead me to MHJSS. I read reviews and called. I can't remember who I spoke with but the guy was professional and gave me confidence that I'd found the right company.

About an hour later, Danny called me to say he was on his way. (Quick appointment, same day, no BS). He arrived on time with his partner Jose. They asked the perfect questions and before I could explain everything, they knew what needed to be done and starting accessing. Danny took his time and explained EVERYTHING so that I could understand all about my plumbing issues. He showed me things I didn't expect to see since my family plumber does frequent work at my home. I was able to get a Hydro Jetting and he immediately told me why we could smell the sewage in the house.

Being a novice to this entire industry, Danny and Jose made sure I knew what was going on, why, and how it can be fixed. They took their time, did things correctly, cleaned up behind themselves, and did so in a professional and safe manner. They worked great as a team and even better as plumbers. I felt like I'd know them personally before today since they were so personable. I wasn't rushed, I wasn't pitched a sales pitch, and I was comfortable with them in my home.

Bigger name companies need to take notes from these guys. I hope nothing about their process changes because from now on I will be using MHJSS for all my plumbing needs and will continue to refer them to everyone I know, as a matter of fact, my neighbor will be using them soon for his multiunit apartment building (I gave him MHJSS phone number, LOL).

Awesome customer service and the technician really knew what he was doing. Even made recommendations on what to look out for to maintain a heathy plumbing in the house.

The owner Dmitri was quick to get ahold of me to schedule a same-day service for my kitchen and bathroom sink that had some clogging issues. Lenny then showed up within a couple hours and was very helpful when it came to explaining everything. My wife and I were extremely pleased with the professional service and reasonable pricing.

Mike and his partner repaired the work done by two separate Angie's list plumbers (one sent to repair the errors of the first) who removed my outside faucet pipe through a wall behind a built-in television console, and then shoved it back through the bricks without any attachment, leaving leaking water inside my home.  The resulting water seepage into the cabinet was causing significant damage.  Mike responded to my urgent call, notified me he would have to cut inside the cabinet to fix the problem.  I agreed and he then made fine interior cuts that are not visible from outside the cabinet and are easily repairable inside.  In short order, he then replaced the pipe to perfection!  He also repaired the upstairs sink faucet the prior plumbers had left open pouring into the cabinet also!

Read all the great reviews via Yelp and decided to contact Juan to replace/install of our kitchen sink and faucet. SO glad we did! Got an accurate quote immediately and got the job done very quickly. Juan and his team did a very clean and professional job (they even cleaned the area when done).  Couldn't be happier. They also wore shoe covers and masks on the job which I greatly appreciated. Definitely would recommend to anyone that needs a plumbing job done right and at a reasonable price.

I would highly recommend Five Plumbing to anyone for plumbing issues/fixes.  I contacted Noel about a low flowing faucet in my condo.  He responded the same day, asking for and evaluating pictures of the plumbing in order to best approach the problem.  He even took the time to recommend purchasing a returnable replacement faucet, as it would save both time and money.  On the scheduled day, Noel called me to confirm timing and walk through his recommendations before arriving.  Once here, Noel did a phenomenal job replacing the faucet quickly and efficiently.

I appreciated the fact that he suggested that I first purchase a replacement faucet ahead of time in case the entire faucet needing replacing. He called out that this would save me money in the end because then I wouldn't need to pay for him to come out twice (once to take a look and a second time to replace the faucet). We ended up needing to replace the faucet and with his recommendation I had the replacement on and and we were able to get everything fixed and replaced in one appointment.

There is nothing more disheartening than getting water in your basement, especially when you thought precautions to prevent that had been taken. :(  Chuck and Chas both came out promptly. Ended up opening and diagnosing a broken back water valve. They rodded and then did a camera inspection from the catch basin to the house and from the house to the street. Every step along the way, they answered my questions, offered their professional advice/opinion and worked efficiently, and cleaned up afterward. I would heartily recommend them without reservation. (not sure why the photo is sideways, but it turns right side up when you click on it)

I had an issue with a leaky toilet shutoff vavle after replacing my toilet float. I called Vanguard after seeing good reviews here on yelp. Jan answered and quizzed me on the issue I was having and was able to accommodate me immediately. He arrived within 45 minutes of my call. He was very professional, assessed the situation quickly and did the fix. The price was reasonable and he is knowledgeable and motivated to answer any questions I have. They will be top of my list for future plumbing issues.

I sent out request for quotes to several plumbers and Victor responded right away with a reasonable range of what he'd charge.  Others wanted to charge me even to get a quote.  He came out sooner than planned when I requested a rush.  He was able to fix our kitchen drain right away and was very quick and professional.  He'll be my plumbing go-to from now on!

I requested a quote for a project, gave all the asked for information.  I received an email saying they were interested in my project, gave their hourly rate.  That asked for more information. 10 hours later I received a text saying they don't  service my area.  I'm 1.1 miles from their location.  So I guess if you are 2 blocked from them they will do the job??  Giving a 1 star rating because I can't give a 0.

Excellent service all around. From the response time to the actual work done at my house all with an upmost professional attitude and dedication.
Cannot recommend them enough!
