After 2 VERY disappointing experiences with 2 other plumbers, I found this company on Yelp and yeah, they were altogether terrific.  From friendly and genuine people in their office to Anthony, the plumber they sent to me, this was a top notch experience.  Anthony was polite, friendly, extremely efficient and he even changed 2 hard to reach halogen bulbs that have tricky fixtures in my kitchen, as a favor.  I tried to tip him for that but he refused to take it, so I hope this Yelp review will help because they all deserve it..and my new faucet works like a charm!  SO many unprofessional plumbers around, and they are not one of those companies.  I wish them continued success & say...THANK YOU!

They are responsive, prompt, reliable, and thorough. I needed someone to look at a leak, and they called me back right away. They then set up an appointment for the next day, and they arrived when they said they were going to arrive. When looking for the source of the leak, David and his partner were thorough. They found the source within minutes. David was also very clear on what my next steps should be. They also did not charge me for their assessment.

There is a miracle worker and his name is Jose. It was really easy to schedule an appointment, he showed up on time, and his office was great at communicating. He went in, solved the problem, and was out soon after. Highly recommended. I'll be referring him to all my friends.

They came out on the same day and clearly explained the problem and what they fixed in order to stop the leak coming from the toilet.  I would use them again.

I hired sound plumbing to install new pipes for a bathroom I was building on my second floor. They were incredible to work with. Kevin was a helpful collaborator who worked around my DIY project and even gave me ideas on how to make it better. They were transparent about their pricing and worked with me to come out under their original estimate. All the people I interacted with were helpful, charming, and took the time to explain things with me. 5/5 would work with them again. Great small business

Jesus came out the next day to replace my water heater after it broke the night before. He was right on time and finished the job when he said he would. He is very proud of his work and makes sure your needs are met. It was very easy to get in touch with him and talk to him. I will give him a call when I need his help again. Good job.

Great honest company.  Have used GT on numerous occasions....been A++ every time.  Will bend over backwards for you.  They come, they plumb, they charge a fair price then leave.  Stand behind everything they do.  Can't imagine any rational human having issues with GT.  Straight shooters.

Grease trap for my 15 unit condo building was completely full and needed pumping and hydro jetting.
The guys came out with their commercial duty truck and was able to complete the job in less than an hour.
The price was very fair in comparison to the estimates I received from other companies.
They did a good job and I shall use them again in the future.

Adam came out late on a Friday night to help us with an urgent issue, and was extremely professional and courteous--and solved our problem quickly and safely. Thank you, Adam!

We had an electrical emergency with smoke filling our basement and no obvious source - scary!! I called Sims and Sons and they got here amazingly fast. Masked as appropriate, professional, courteous, diagnosed the problem quickly, and fixed it plus bonus points for educating us on what happened exactly and what we needed to do to prevent further issues. They will be my go-to company for electrical and plumbing going forward!!

Showed up with a mask on and put booties on to ensure floors stayed dry (it was raining). Quickly snaked our drain and confirmed with me the issue was resolved.

Had a great experience! They were very quick to respond and offered an appointment to replace our water heater within 24 business hours. They were clean and quick when they were here. Very happy to recommend them!!

I had a really bad kitchen sink clog that I tried snaking it myself with no luck.  Was referred to Mike, called and left a message, and had a return call within 30 minutes.  Mike juggled his schedule to come by same day and had my problem fixed in short order.  Highly recommend calling Mike when you have a need.

Juan was very responsive. He explained the process to me and even went to buy a new toilet once we decided I needed a new one. He and his brother worked quickly and was very respectful of my home. I will definitely call them again when needed.

I contacted Noel and left a VM stating my needs. He contacted me later that day and asked I text him photos as I was having him replace a kitchen sink faucet. He texted back the 2 hour window he could come and his estimate. He texted when he was 20 minutes away, showed up on time, completed the job even after he ran into some curves, all for the price he quoted.
Noel is a great communicator and excellent plumber. I will use him from now on.

We had an emergency (leak) and they came out same day 2 hours after I called. The techs were courteous and knowledgeable. Price was fair. They finished up in an hour and cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend!

Great service--have been using Vanguard for various plumbing issues/leaks over the last fours.  Jan works hard, is quick to respond and genuinely cares about the quality of his work.  The prices are reasonable, especially when compared to the larger firms in Chicago.

Victor come out and quickly asses the work needed.  Great price compared to his competitors and very professional and knowledgeable   Highly recommended!!

Very very low quality work.  Scratched our bathroom cabinet and denied doing anything wrong.  Second time we've been disappointed.

After using yelp for many years, this is the first time I am commenting.  Should tell you something.

These guys were fantastic.  They scheduled quickly and where there the next morning.  Eric walked me through the issue and all steps of the project. The problem with fixed and our basement is DRY...  Hire with confidence.
