I was so impressed with the quick and thorough response that Rocket Plumbing gave to my inquiry! I reached out for help with a leaky toilet - and the wax seal and the flange ended up needing to be replaced. Their bid was competitive, and Sam did an amazing job! He arrived right on time, was very thorough with his work, did a great job explaining the task at hand, and really improved the overall appearance of the bathroom (not to mention things are now in tip-top shape!) I'll definitely call them again.

Another plumber that dropped the ball on getting back to me and organizing the time to go out.  Another plumber who wants to assume work is required without doing the basic problem solving beforehand.

We hired Windy City Plumbing to install a flood mitigation system for our home in Berwyn. We are very satisfied with the work that was performed by Jose and his assistants. They were courteous, thoughtful, friendly and professional. They began the project on time and completed it as agreed. They also restored our landscaping. We would recommend  Windy City Plumbing to do the same for your home.

Fast response, quick estimates.  They arrived on time, workers masked up, worked quickly and respected our property.  They carefully wrapped our furnace and water heater and cleaned up before they left.  I was very pleased with the quality of their work .

Kevin fixed our plumbing problem however the reasons for my 3 star rating are the following:

1. he was almost an hour late and he told us he'll be late 5 mins before the scheduled time.
2. he ended up charging us way more than his initial quote. Granted that his initial diagnosis was wrong, we ended up not having a choice since he was already there. He said the parts were more expensive, etc.
3. we referred him to other people and I think since he felt we were already committed,  he wouldnt schedule an early appointment any more so my neighbors ended up waiting a week.
4. Our trusted plumber costs almost 100% less than him. The reason why we hired him was because it was an emergency and we wanted the job done ASAP and our plumber couldn't do it ASAP. As an example, our plumber charged us $80 to replace our toilet. When we asked Kevin, he quoted us $150 AND if there are any complications in changing the toilet, it might be more.
5. he didn't give us a receipt. He said he'll email it to us but he didn't even get our email address!!!

I had to get an old kitchen faucet removed and a new one installed. Communication was prompt and clear. He was very polite, professional and adept at his job. In and out with no problems. Cleaned up after he was done. It's always nice to find a reliable and honest handyman in this city. He is def my go-to plumber from here on out.

We had a pipe burst and I reached out to Green Tech over yelp late in the evening. They responded within minutes of when they could come out and what the estimated cost would be. Their plumber showed up within the window they gave and fixed our burst pipe in under hour. These guys do live up to their reputation of being transparent and honest.

Excellent service all around!! They responded immediately to my request for a quote, gave me a reasonable range, and then stuck to it. On top of that, they were the friendliest guys and they provided top notch service. They took care to be tidy and made sure everything was in working order before the left. Cannot recommend them enough.

I needed help fixing a leaky pipe underneath my kitchen sink along with having my toilet replaced, and their plumber Manny came and provided friendly and helpful service. He made sure the work was to my satisfaction, and he took care of everything I needed.

I used ABV plumbing three different times and will continue to use them in the future for all plumbing needs. CJ Plumbing and Heating are trustworthy, thorough, and extremely clean.  Called them with an urgent issue and they scheduled an appointment for the very next morning.  They were on time for the appointment, and all work was completed in a single visit.  Pricing was extremely fair and there was they left the home as clean as before they came.  I was extremely comfortable letting them work in my home unattended.  If you are the type of person that likes meticulous work, with no cutting corners or shortcuts- call CJ Plumbing and Heating without hesitation.  They insist on doing things the right way, and use high quality materials.

Quick same-day service to fix a toilet fill valve. Took a look around the house at a couple other potential issues and made some recommendations. Professional and would recommend!

We had an issue turning on our pilot light in our hot water heater and A&Y came out that afternoon. It turned out that we were actually doing it wrong (whoops!) but they were super helpful and informative and walked me through the steps of turning it on correctly. I really appreciated how quick they were to come help out and they were incredibly prompt and kind. Thank you!

We live in a one bathroom condo and the toilet stopped working on a Saturday evening. He came out quickly, did the job, charged a fair price and even gave us some extra advice. Very friendly, polite and helpful.

I went downstairs to do a load of laundry and noticed water & some type of backup all over my laundry room, utility room and wet carpet inbetween.  I didn't know where to start and gave Apex a call.  Incredibly professional from the initial call through the service.  They arrived in less than 30 minutes!!  Quickly diagnosed the problem as a failed Ejector Pump.  They had the parts and equipment to service on the spot, provided me with honest options to resolve and quickly got to work.  Truly a 5-star experience all around.  Friendly service, knowledgeable work and complete transparency.  It is a family run business and it shows from the dedication to customer service, being straightforward in explanation and ability to guarantee their work.  Can't say enough positive things about Apex and will be the only company I call with any future needs.

We had a terrible experience with Fixer. A little backstory: we wanted to replace our main door, and we went first with a cheap contractor and he did a bad job with the door being hard to close, the caulking job was bad, and I had to press the bottom of the door with my foot to get it to close all the way. We paid him $200. I decided I had learned my lesson and was going to get an expensive contractor to fix it. Enter Fixer. With the generally good reviews and expensive hourly rate, I had no doubts I would have a seamless door installation. They were quick to respond, and  could have someone out quickly as well. When the Fixer (John) got there (he was a little late but for me, that wasn't a problem), we discussed the problem and I let him know that we were willing to do whatever to get it fixed, including starting over and buying another pre-hung door. We just wanted it done right. Over a 40-minute period, he just looked at it (though we didn't get charged for that time, thankfully). I finally went back down and asked if there was a problem and he told me several options. I know little about doors so they sounded reasonable enough. He tried a few things, with no luck (all the while I was reminding him that I was fine getting another door). He would say things like I guess I could have just taken the caulk out and redone this with all the time this is taking. He also didn't seem to know what a backer rod was, that should have been a real clue for me but I'm pretty trusting. He said he needed to buy a part but didn't trust us to find it (add on a $50 shopping fee and 20% markup here). He came back the next day and finished up and everything seemed better, it wasn't amazing but the caulking was much improved though I wouldn't call it good--he had just scraped it down and the door opened easier since he took out some weather stripping. He did forget to put the trim on the bottom of the door as we discussed, so we reached out about that later and they wanted to charge us for it. Finally they agreed to come fix it but made it seem like a big hassle so I just said I would do it. I decided to wait until after I had someone come to fix drywall right near the door. During that time, the door got worse and worse, the weather stripping started coming off, the door got more and more off-center, and you can see daylight around almost the whole door (with winter here now, there is a freezing breeze coming through the gap, though it's not as bad as entering the produce section at Costco, it still isn't pleasant). There is no way to press the door all the way closed and we can't close our deadbolt all the way anymore. The pictures don't even do it justice--it's terrible! I reached out to Fixer and the lady seemed to agree that it didn't look good and all, she said she would reach out to customer service. I fully expected them to send someone else out to fix it or refund my money (about $350). They came back and offered $25 off a future Fixer appointment and suggested I go with someone else to fix it. I was so disgusted! I have proof that they did a terrible job, and they won't show some integrity and man up. I haven't heard back from them since trying to be more clear about what I expected, but interestingly enough, I had another contractor company reach out to me just the day after they suggested I go with someone else to get the door fixed... Not impressed at all, and I wish I would have left the door the way it was before Fixer came.

Excellent service all around. From the response time to the actual work done at my house all with an upmost professional attitude and dedication.
Cannot recommend them enough!
