While their employees do wear N95 masks, they not wear gloves or shoe coverings as stated at the top of this page or as I was told on the phone when I asked. The plumber who came out to fix my sink pulled his mask down to talk to me. I promptly told him to put it back on. I am pleased with the work that they did and they were in and out within an hour, they did arrive 1/2 an hour past the 2-hour window because one of the guys needed to stop for lunch. (I was told this when they called to let me know they were going to be late. At least they called). I had to have my kitchen sink rodded (not sure if that's the proper term) and part of a pipe replaced. They charged me $644 for this! I nearly lost my cookies! Are you kidding me? And then the plumber left the mess behind for me to clean up. I still can't get over the sticker price!

Quick to respond via yelp and helped diagnose the issue via chat. Had someone here the next day on time (even a little early). David and his team were here and diagnosed the issue quickly, provided and quote and completed the work in about an hour. Would highly recommend and very knowledgeable!

I had a toilet replaced by Windy City. The entire process from start to finish was done very professionally. For the appointment, I received a call back in a very reasonable amount of time. Jose was able to give me a ball park range for the work which is always helpful. I required a Certificate of Insurance for the Condo Association (River North high rise). The removal and install was done in under an hour. Very smooth process and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend this contractor.

I (weirdly and accidentally!) got a  spray bottle stuck in my toilet pipes, and it was super clogged. First Chicago Plumbing was FANTASTIC! Raudel arrived exactly on time, and he was friendly and super resourceful -- had to try a whole bunch of different things to get that dang bottle out, and he was professional and communicative throughout. It was all reasonably priced too, considering he literally UNINSTALLED and REINSTALLED the toilet?! I absolutely recommend these guys (and Raudel specifically!). Lifesavers.

I hired sound plumbing to install new pipes for a bathroom I was building on my second floor. They were incredible to work with. Kevin was a helpful collaborator who worked around my DIY project and even gave me ideas on how to make it better. They were transparent about their pricing and worked with me to come out under their original estimate. All the people I interacted with were helpful, charming, and took the time to explain things with me. 5/5 would work with them again. Great small business

I can't recommend the plumbers from J Sewer & Drain more highly. I'm a board member for my condo association and we've used them multiple times for issues ranging from mysterious leaks in our garage to clogged pipes (and I know owners in our building have used them for single-unit work as well).

They've come out on short notice, they're extremely  professional and fast to diagnose the root cause of an issue, and their prices are very fair. They're honest and give helpful advice for future maintenance upkeep. Our experiences have all been positive and I highly recommend them to others.

Within less than a minute of submitting a request through Yelp online, Kevin called to tell me that I'm not in his service area -- BUT proceeded to ask me to identify the problem and then gave me proposed solutions, a general quote, and a referral over the phone.  This just doesn't happen typically.  From the high customer service level and in-depth analysis of the problem, I'm convinced from a 5-minute phone call that this is a company to call for your plumbing needs.  Maybe I should move to Park Ridge!

I gave Midwest Hydro Jetting and Sewer Service 5 stars because, although they were unable to assist me, Mike referred me to Windy City Plumbing who does install plumbing for a bathroom in the basement to the city sewer.  This was a first for me, usually I am told that they don't know anyone who can assist me,
If I need any plumbing repair I will be calling them because this is a reputable company. Kudos to Midwest for guiding potential customers to others who are capable of doing a job that is not part of their company's description.

I used Captain Rooter to assist with the reinstall action of a washer drain/line, sink set up and faucet in stall.  I was easily able to connect with Captain rooter via Yelp and advised them of my needs.  Many other companies had dispatch fees and this is ultimately one of the factors in my choosing of Captain Rooter.  I received a confirmation call yesterday for my appointment and today a 30min ETA.  This was truly amazing.  For my appointment I worked with Mike and he followed all COVID-19 procedures.  Gave me a honest and transparent pricing and completed the work in a timely manner.  He checked all systems to ensure no leaks and informed me of everything he was doing and why.  Captain Rooter is truly a rebuttable company that I believe in and recommend.

We live in a condo in the city and had some nasty wiring issues with the A/C unit on the roof of our building.

Finding Sims and Sons was a major breath of fresh air compared to all the other contractors that we had contacted.  Darrell immediately put our mind at ease, was pragmatic but reassuring, and dispatched his team almost immediately.

The crew that did the work - Christian and Graham - were highly professional.  They had diagnosed the issue in minutes, clearly explained the issues to a layman, and immediately went about fixing them.  The end result was awesome.

Sims and Sons will be our only choice for electrical work moving forward.

5 stars! I had a toilet giving the phantom flush and it was loud and annoying! I found ABV and decided to give them a call, based on stellar google reviews. Amazingly, Chris was able to come over in less than an hour. He needed a new part, and was back in a flash. From calling to finish, it was less than 2 hours!

I really appreciate the attentive service and ability to address my problem right away. Not only am I keeping his card for all future plumbing needs but will be recommending his fine service to everyone.

Great experience with this company. Our garbage disposal (we thought) created a clog somewhere, which we thought we had resolved until water started dripping through the basement ceiling. I wanted to get this fixed fast so we could use our kitchen sink and dishwasher again (also I was terrified of the leaking!). I called the first well reviewed company on Yelp.

I am so happy with that decision. Alex at C & J came out within an hour, investigated the issue and called back within an hour with pricing for fixes. He pointed out a problem with the piping between our dishwasher and disposal (previously  raised in our home inspection) and we agreed it should be fixed while working on the original issue. I expected we might see someone in a few days, but they had a guy out within another hour! He went to work methodically until he ran into an issue trying to unclog the pipes. The clog was trapped deep and they couldn't reach it. He talked me through what he was going to try - when that didn't work, he called Alex up (for a more experienced perspective, as I understood it) and Alex came back out to take a look. They talked me through the new plan, which involved cutting out some pieces of pipe. After it was done, they showed me the pipe - it was totally (disgustingly) clogged! They created a new access point for the pipe, so if it gets clogged again, it will be easier to clean.

In summary, C & J was super fast, polite, clear in their explanations and successful. I can't comment on prices bc I didn't call any others to compare, but I was comfortable with what I paid. And Alex even called up the next day to make sure everything was working. Knock on wood, everything looking great so far.

I had a really bad kitchen sink clog that I tried snaking it myself with no luck.  Was referred to Mike, called and left a message, and had a return call within 30 minutes.  Mike juggled his schedule to come by same day and had my problem fixed in short order.  Highly recommend calling Mike when you have a need.

Juan is great to work with.  He is incredibly responsive with reasonable prices.

Honestly, I'm writing this review because I keep thinking that the name starts with Four something, but it's actually Five.  I've been a customer several times over the years and Noel has always been consistently very knowledgeable, a combination of friendly and professional, and very responsive.  I will always recommend this company to my friends!

Last week I procured the services of Apex Plumbing for a modest problem of a leaking toilet base ring and flush valve replacement. I made the appointment with Coordinator Jenny who conscientiously kept me apprised of the 3 hour scheduling window and the arrival time. Upon arrival, Technician Geoffrey RAMOS assessed the problem, made a diagnosis with a full explanation then quickly commenced repairs. I must say, I have never encountered a plumber like Geoffrey RAMOS who is so passionate about his work! Not only is he a gifted and skilled tradesman but his vast knowledge of plumbing history is refreshing, too. I  found myself captivated while also being educated by his enthusiasm for his profession. A consummate professional, indeed! Technician RAMOS left a lasting impression as well as a stellar repair job. I am truly glad I chose Apex Plumbing & Sewer as I now finally have a permanent, reliable and, most importantly, trusted company for all my future plumbing and sewer needs!! ( After checking invoice, I had to Re-edit this post for accuracy of technician's correct name. Getting old sucks!)

We had a sewage back up on Christmas. Victor was SO nice and helpful and fast. He quickly responded to my message and he moved his schedule to help us sooner. We will never use another company.

He even cleaned up the mess in our basement. I mean, come on. This guy is amazing. Fully insured and bonded and lovely. He also told my husband how to help the issue in the future. I am so grateful.

Knowledgeable and thorough, I appreciated that Katie explained everything that she was encountering so that my husband and I were always in the know. They replaced a garbage disposal, a leaky pipe, a wax ring, and reset a toilet per our inspection report request. It was quite obvious that Katie was extremely experienced and took great pride in her work. She went out of her way to do little things, cosmetic things, to ensure a job well done. Erick and Manny came out to replace two outdoor faucets, add one new outdoor faucet, and rod our bathroom sink and bathtub. They were knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. The price was reasonable, and they will be the first people I call the next time we need plumbing work on our house or rental units. They do great work.
