IMS Phoenix Deck & Railing Contractor
Alex was great from the start with communication through yelp and text.  The door to our courtyard was rusted and had broken a hinge.  His team fixed the door, replaced the hinge, and also gave it new life with a fresh coat.  The timing was to be expected with a fix and we are happy with the finished project.  We would recommend IMS to anyone looking for a gate or repair.

Pool Remodeling Brothers Deck & Railing Contractor
Someone on Nextdoor recommend Pool Remodeling Brothers. Based on their recommendation I reached out to Jose for an estimate. They were responsive and got our pool fixed within a week of contacting them. We had some cracks in our pebble in the steps and we couldn't get anyone to call us back or do the job because it wasn't worth their time for what they would make on the job. Because they took on our little job we will be using them for our pool remodel in 2-3 years because our pebble is old and wearing out.

Dave and him team did an excellent job on our view deck.  We had old worn out pebble tech and they power washed, sealed and overlayed a beautiful new pebble tech color that now makes our deck look awesome.  Highly recommend Dave and his company.  They are courteous, neat and go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with their work.

PCC Roofing & Construction Deck & Railing Contractor
Checked the roof and it looks good.   The seams around the vents look very watertight.  The shingles looks like it's held down tight.  They also do wood work.  They removed my old, unused swamp cooler and put in an additional wind turbine.  They're registered with the state of AZ.  They're certified GAF shingles installers if you decide to get GAF shingles.  They also finished within 2 days.

Brust Fencing and Gates Company Deck & Railing Contractor
Had my side yard gate removed and replaced, including resetting the concrete post. Joel took care of everything - materials, demo, haul away, assembly and prime/paint per HOA design and color. He came out quickly for a quote and did exactly what he promised to do. It is quality and will last. Process was really easy. Love his portfolio of other work too. Highly recommend!

Firesky Coatings Deck & Railing Contractor
I just had my observation deck resealed, and it turned out great. Adam workers did a great job and barley knew they were there, no banging or dropping tools. The project took about four days with the drying of the stuff they put in the roof, but showed up and completed the job very professional. I would use him again, and Adam will Answer his phone when called.

Jonas Acrylic Deck & Railing Contractor
Such a great company. I callled for an estimate after realizing that our pavers were no longer made and not wanting to stare at our ugly grey concrete that abutted the pavers. They were able to add acrylic decking, which made it blend so nicely. We ended up having them also do the front porch and have a flakes grey coating in the small garage. The quality of the work was great. Also, their pricing was great!

Simply, the best I've worked with. Brings great attitude and energy, he also considers you as a client foremost.  I couldn't get anyone to work on my exterior door without having to buy a whole new door, because other guys don't have the skill or the willingness to do the actual carpentry work.  Jason is fantastic, it was energizing to me to see a master craftsman at work, I can't rate him highly enough.

It's unfair and disrespectful Not to provide a quote to the customer when you have promised. The person came to my home, checked my problem and said that he would let me know how much it would cost. More than a week past, no response! I called the company- the person said that he was still working on getting this quote!
What the hell, I said to myself! I said ok, I will wait. It's been over 1 month, still nothing. Of course, I am not waiting for a call anymore. He could have been honest right from the beginning so that at least I am not going to rely on this company. I explained my problem well over the phone even before he came to my house.
Be Honest and Transparent from the beginning! Do not hide! If you would not be happy with the money you would make or whatever the reason is, just say it.

First Impression Ironworks Deck & Railing Contractor
Just moved back to Gilbert, and got a referral to First Impression from my parents, who were a past customer.  We went in, really liked their products, worked with our salesperson to get a timeline scheduled for our brand-new house which was completed at the end of September.  We ordered near the end of August which was supposed to give us enough time to have our door installed during the first week of October.

Everything seemed like it was going fine, the door looked beautiful when the installers came and in fact they were an hour ahead of their scheduled time of 11am.  That was Tuesday

Five hours later, and seven holes in my brand new door frame later, they had to abort.  The door simply wouldn't close.  The installation team was excellent, walked me through the whole process and in fact they did more than I would have thought possible at the time.  Very cool.

Now, they had an installation manager or engineer / some kind of tech come out and work with them on the whole the door isn't closing' issue.  Also pretty cool.  But the bowing on the frame was such that it was too close to the adjoining part of the frame (near to the top) to be able to bend the frame out, so the installers had to take it back to the shop.  No problem.

Call my salesman around 4:30, he files a support ticket for me.

Get an introductory call at about 9:30am Wednesday, asking me to send pictures of my chiseled-through door frame (at the time of this writing, Friday 1pm, I have owned my house still for less than a week).  I do so.  Thursday, I call to ask for a status update, and she basically tells me that she's still trying to get feedback from the installation department.

Friday at about noon I call my CS rep and leave a pretty upset message at this point.  At this time there have been no calls to tell me what's next, no updates, no offers of a discount, no communication.  She calls me back about a half-hour later to tell me Your door was submitted for rework at 4:52 last night, after I had left and he didn't tell me.  This is our busy time of year so it's going to take a while for production, probably 2-3 weeks.

Well what are you going to do to make this right?

We're going to put your door in.

Two or three, well even if it's done in two weeks now it'll be three weeks late -- three weeks late?

Well I'm sorry sir, but I can't really do anything about that.

Who's your immediate supervisor?  Who can I talk to?

Well I'm just a Customer Service Manager, I have a lot of immediate supervisors but they're all at lunch.  (This must be the most bizarre organizational tree ever).

Where is the apology?  Where is the We're going to expedite this so we get it to you as quickly as possible?  Where is the offer of a discount?  Where is the offer to FIX MY DOOR IN THE MEANTIME?

What is the deal you guys?  Why is this so difficult?

4 Stars for work
1 Star for reliability

Geremy installed floating wood shelves in the kitchen and did a good job. They're sturdy and look good, but could have been finished better in the end. Putty was left to dry and I had to have my handyman sand it all down as well as add more where there were some noticeable gaps at joints. I didn't ask Geremy come back to finish because it wasn't the end of the world to have to have someone else finish, it just would have been nice if he had completed the job himself. There was also an incident where he accidentally leaned against the stove knobs, turned on the burner and melted plastic on my brand new stove top that had never been used. It wasn't able to be cleaned up complete which is a bummer, but the worst part is he didn't tell me about it- I had to hear from my handman.

I hired him for a second job- a pergola over my back patio. After he rescheduled a couple of times and then didn't show up another one or two times, he finally came, but came so late in the day that he ran out of time and couldn't install my string lights. I went ahead and paid him the full amount for the job but I've never been able to get him to come back to finish the lights that he said he'd be back to hang the following day. After a lot of excuses, several texts and a phone call and continuing to tell me he'd come back to hang them, he still hasn't finished the job. I've been waiting since May 20th and now he isn't responding to my messages at all.

It's a shame because his work is good, but reliability and communication are terrible.

Had security door installed a couple of weeks ago.  While they were installing I told them the steel mesh screen didn't fit tight to the frame.  Installer said maybe they could screw it down more.  I told them it would bulge between the screws and that at these prices I wanted it to fit right.  He said they would have someone from repair department call me back.  In the meantime I called repair myself and was told I'd have a call back within 24 hours.  About 15 minutes after installer left he called me to say he spoke to repair department and it turned out they put the screen frame on backwards and he was coming back to turn it around!  This is their so-called professional installers that only work for them?  They should certainly know their product!  About 2 weeks later I started having trouble opening the door and unlocking it from inside.  I called repair department and was told someone would call me back the next day or the day after that.  That was a week ago and still haven't heard from anyone.  The door is beautiful which is why I gave them 3 stars, but their customer service department is terrible and I don't think their installers are experienced enough.
2-21-17  I was contacted by Phil of First Impressions about the problems I've been having.  He was very apologetic and promised he would see to it that everything was made right.  True to his word, he sent out a man to correct the problems with the lock.  I was happy, then a couple of days later I had problems again.  I called Phil and in less than 24 hours a new person arrived to fix the problems.  He was great, he replaced the lock mechanism and re-keyed the lock.  He made sure I was satisfied with the way the lock was working.  I can now say I am very happy with my First Impressions security door!
