We had been introduced to Ben at All Star Stair Railing through our contractor. We were in the middle of a big renovation and decided we could not live with the ugly pony walls that we had through out the house. Ben texted me right away. Came out to measure the following day. Sent his quote out hours later. Worked out our design and adjustment and we were off and running. He was able to start earlier than projected. They take real pride in craftsmanship and what a pleasure to work with.

I have had this company complete several metal structures for me and I have yet to be disappointed. I affectionately call Alex the owner Magneto, he just can do things with metal that most humans can't. His top notch work is accompanied with great service and excellent communication and prices that will fit anyone's budget. I am very happy to have met Alex and very much appreciate his excellent craftsmanship. Five stars easy.

Had an old plaster pool that was in need of some TLC reached out to multiple companies to figure out  timelines and costs. Pool Remodeling Brothers came through, they were competitively priced and there timeline from start to finish was just under 2 weeks. The final product looks amazing, can't wait to enjoy it this summer! Will definitely be calling when I'm ready to redo the pool deck.

We decided to repair and update our deck. It was getting pretty faded and in need of repair. We used New Look Kool deck a few years back to do some repairs and really were impressed with their work. We went with them again for the complete job this time. Glad we did they did great work and the patio looks better then ever. Thank you Dave and your team. You guys rock. Great job!

Had my front and back porch roof redone a year ago by PCC Roofing and they did a great job they were efficient and cleaned up great after. I had a monsoon issue a year later and they were quick to come out and help me with the issue they even fixed a part of my roof that had nothing to do with the job they did. Very professional good guys I'd recommend this company to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about Ray and his guys.  Aztec Decks is the company that you hope to find and work with.  They are there when they say they will be and are very hard workers and talented craftsmen.  We used Aztec Decks to redo our pool cooldecking with travertine, fill in our out dated spa, replace the pool cap tile with travertine veneers and install a new water and fire feature.  Ray understood our vision and had some really good ideas to make it even better.   Glad he made an 'executive decision' on something he knew would look better.  He was right.  Highly recommend!

I found Joel Brust through his IG page, brust_carpentry. A friend who hired Joel's company to install fencing in her yard referred me to him. I rarely post Yelp reviews, but the professionalism, craftsmanship, reliability, and demeanor Brust Carpentry brings to the job site, was too outstanding to not login and write him a review. I had completely rotted out front gate posts, old rusty hardware, and a malfunctioning gate that would drag on the concrete pathway when opened. He was 5 minutes early to the job. Removed/demo's the existing old gate. Went the extra mile with cleaning out all rot and applying concrete along with the pressure treated/ground contact 4x4 posts that he brought for the job. Not to mention him and his employee, Collin were of the utmost integrity a homeowner could ask for. They built a custom gate to match the existing framing and pickets to the rest of the fence, and it looks amazing. It's unbelievable how sturdy and diligent the completed work is. And there was not a single piece of scrap wood left behind. Don't shop anywhere else, these guys are gems.

From the initial quote to the completion of the job, Adam and his team were amazing. My deck had several areas where boards needed to be replaced. Other contractors told me they would need to tear off the entire deck because repairs areas never look good once it is finished. Boy were they wrong. The deck and stair case they repaired and refinshed looks beautiful. I am completely delighted!

It's funny how I wrote a review on this company and it disappeared. I had my pool cool decking refinished back in Sept. 2018.  This was suppose to have a 3 year warranty.  I started my contact with this company back on 8-4-20 emailing them asking for them to come back and repair the cool decking that was breaking away.  No reply.  3-18-21 sent another email.  No reply.  I tried calling to leave a message, but mailbox was full.  I called 602-423-8016 someone said someone would call me back.  Cindy, daughter of owner, called and asked me to send pictures which I did.  Sent pictures to 602-478-3234.  3-22-21 Cindy said she would send message to Eric, her brother, who did the work and will send him another message to get a hold of me.  7-7-21 almost a year and still no response.  I have now sent a letter to Better Business Bureau, Arizona Registry of Contractors and now a review on Yelp.  Please do not give them your business if you need cool decking.  They don't stand behind their product or warranty and you will have to get repairs done before two years end.

Simply, the best I've worked with. Brings great attitude and energy, he also considers you as a client foremost.  I couldn't get anyone to work on my exterior door without having to buy a whole new door, because other guys don't have the skill or the willingness to do the actual carpentry work.  Jason is fantastic, it was energizing to me to see a master craftsman at work, I can't rate him highly enough.

David fixed my deck at the beginning of the spring this year. He was able to provide a reasonable quote and complete the repair quickly. David's work matches perfectly to the current color and style of the deck. I would recommend David's work to anyone looking for a deck repair.

It's the SECOND impression of First Impression Ironworks that is awful.
At first, they seemed attentive and professional. We ordered two large custom gates totally more than $8000 from them. After waiting months, they came out to install them and one was fabricated backwards and the other was installed incorrectly and rubs at the top and won't catch the latch at the bottom. We called them back immediate to let them know about the gate rubbing at top and gapped at the bottom and we're told that they would send someone to fix it. That didn't happen.
The misfabricated gate was delivered again for the second time several weeks later and couldn't be installed because the drop pin was welded on the wrong side. We showed the installation guy the other gate that was rubbing and not latching and he said he can't touch it because he didn't install it. ??
Then they finally called us back about the misfabricated gate we have been waiting forever on to be made correctly and the sales woman advises us that it will require another $800 for them to make the gate correctly!! We declined that ridiculous request and said we wanted to talk with someone in management to make this job right. The sales lady said she'll get back to us. And guess what... still no gate, no phone calls returned... no customer service.
On a side note, we had Affordable Gates make our 12' RV gate during all of this nonsense with First Impression. The guys at Affordable gates made us a beautiful, functional, and completely installed correctly 12' rolling RV gate! Their customer service and craftsmanship is spot on!! I wish I would have had them do the other two gates as well. Don't be swayed by First Impressions pretty pictures and empty promises. You will be disappointed. Take your hard earned money elsewhere where your business is appreciated and you'll be happy with the final product.

Instead of returning my calls about completing the gate we ordered AS ORDERED they replied to this yelp review with some psychobabble about the changes we want to our order.
First Impression Ironworks, we want our gate AS ORDERED for the agreed upon price and we want our recently installed gate properly installed so it opens and closes properly. It is clear that customer satisfaction is not the priority at First Impression Ironworks. They only seem interested in advertising and attracting new customers, whom will soon find out too how little they matter after an order is placed.

Do your research. Read the reviews. We are not alone in our negative experience with First Impression Ironworks. Don't be their next victim. You deserve a quality product with good customer support for your hard earned money. This company offers neither.

UPDATE #2 June 23, 2022

Still no response from First Impression Ironworks so-called customer care department. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company at ALL! Call their customer service number and you will find that they have 30+ administrative employees extensions to choose from! Do your homework and read all of the reviews of this company. It is my experience that all of their efforts are in garnering your business and 50% deposit but no interest in follow through for customer satisfaction beyond that. Go with a smaller, reputable owner operated company where your satisfaction drives their business. Affordable gates made my other gate in half the time, for less money, and made sure the job was done right. I wish I had had them make all three gates from the get go.

Geremy installed floating wood shelves in the kitchen and did a good job. They're sturdy and look good, but could have been finished better in the end. Putty was left to dry and I had to have my handyman sand it all down as well as add more where there were some noticeable gaps at joints. I didn't ask Geremy come back to finish because it wasn't the end of the world to have to have someone else finish, it just would have been nice if he had completed the job himself. There was also an incident where he accidentally leaned against the stove knobs, turned on the burner and melted plastic on my brand new stove top that had never been used. It wasn't able to be cleaned up complete which is a bummer, but the worst part is he didn't tell me about it- I had to hear from my handman.

I hired him for a second job- a pergola over my back patio. After he rescheduled a couple of times and then didn't show up another one or two times, he finally came, but came so late in the day that he ran out of time and couldn't install my string lights. I went ahead and paid him the full amount for the job but I've never been able to get him to come back to finish the lights that he said he'd be back to hang the following day. After a lot of excuses, several texts and a phone call and continuing to tell me he'd come back to hang them, he still hasn't finished the job. I've been waiting since May 20th and now he isn't responding to my messages at all.

It's a shame because his work is good, but reliability and communication are terrible.

Just had our door installed. We are super happy with the results!

The buying process was great. Our sales consultant came over and spent almost 2 hours with my wife going over ALL the details and answering all her questions. We looked at several companies and ended up going with FISD due to how awesome the sales consultant was and the quality of their product over other companies, for roughly the same cost!

Almost all of these doors are handmade, to order, and customized to fit your exact opening.  The industry standard for the door to be installed is roughly 4-6 weeks after purchasing. The only (minor) ding I have against this company is the scheduling.

About 3 weeks out we received a call letting us know it would be towards the end of the week. We weren't given a specific day or time to go on. When we inquired if we could get a specific install time and day, the lady had an attitude and was a bit harsh about it.

I understand there are a lot of doors to get installed, but when you're paying well over $1000+ for a door, you expect a little better service on this end. I need to take off of work at least 2 weeks in advance to be home for the install and it's a simple consideration to provide a little less vague of an install date. I ended up being forced to take 3 days in a row just to cover the range of dates provided.

About a week out we were provided a specific day to install, but no time. Again lady was a little rude about it but we got a 4 hour window after some prodding. We weren't asking the world, just for specific day/time so we can plan accordingly, which shouldn't be an issue considering the price of the product being purchased.

The day of, tech called and notified we were first door of the day, 8am sharp he was here as he promised. Had door installed in just over an hour. He took his time to go through the maintenance of the hinges and lock assembly and cleaning of the screen. He cleaned up and was on his way. Tech was superb!

We absolutely love our new door! FISD deserves the full 5 stars, won't dock a star over a single lady who probably didn't have her cup of coffee for the day. Check out our new door in the photo gallery!

If I could have given zero stars I would have. We have been so extremely disappointed by the installation of our door and the lack of customer service to get the multiple issues resolved. I have had 5 different visits to my home with installers and customer service alike and still don't have the issues of a poorly installed door resolved. This process, that should have taken 1 day, has drug our for over 10 days with no resolution. I have been told that 'the company is growing so there have been issues.' I highly recommend you NOT purchase a door for First Impressions and go with a company that cares more about their customers on an individual level. First Impressions has left us with a terrible impression. Save your money, time and hassle and go with another company.
