I hate long-winded reviews, but I'll write one anyway. Here's the quick executive summary:

I obtained two quotes for what ended up being a complete reface for all our cabinets. I found both companies more than competent, and would have felt quite comfortable using either, but what really sold me on Better Than New Kitchens was the owner, Dan Oldejans.

After a preliminary conversation and estimate on the phone (I loved that you can give him your own measurements via email and he provides an estimate before he even comes to your home). When I received his estimate, I informed him that we weren't even sure that we wanted to go through with it because I was way, way, way off on my own personal estimate, also known as wishful thinking.

Dan still came to our home and spent over two hours with me going through the process and showing me samples and available options. He was thoroughly honest when I questioned whether we were getting a little outside the pricing parameters for a house of our size and price (we were) and I appreciated his candor.

I always take that sort of response as an indicator of the type of individual I am dealing with and that initial, very positive impression held through our entire project. AND, there was absolutely no pressure to up sell.

Dan was also quite responsive when we asked him to price out various portions of the project as we tried to fit the reface into the budget. He worked hard to reduce the overall estimate once he was able to measure everything himself. Though it was often just a few dollars here and a few dollars there, I appreciated the effort.

We eventually decided to go all-out and have the whole home refaced, and even added a new cabinet. Dan continued to work hard to make things work, even having the patience to charge three different credit cards in order to allow us to get together the total amount for the down payment. Honestly, I was just a little paranoid about writing a check with no recourse if something bad happened. Using the credit cards gave us an option outside the Registrar of Contractors should that occur. Turns out that fear was a totally unfounded. Since then, we have never looked back!

A totally awesome transition from our blonde, rather plain tract home cabinets to a very rich, nearly custom look! Craftsmanship was outstanding. Seams where the crown molding butts to the wall are imperceptible. The brads on the 1/4 veneer are also nearly impossible to see. Overall, we are totally pleased with the workmanship and results.

Though the cost was a lot more than we had initially budgeted, we are thrilled that we decided to go forward with it. I am certain it will add a substantial amount to the resale value of our home when that day comes to retire in a smaller place. The transition was actually so breathtaking that it has us reconsidering the move.

The work was completed on-budget and even a day early. Dan is a hands-on owner, and he and his team were always on-time to start and they finished at a reasonable time each day.

There were a couple minor snafus, and they were addressed properly and quickly. When the crew arrived the first day, someone who shall remain nameless (Dan) backed in the trailer a little too far and chipped a little stucco off the top of the garage frame. I might never have noticed, but Dan brought it to my attention, and addressed it immediately by taking a paint sample and getting a little touch up. It was repaired and imperceptible within an hour!

A second snafu involved the hardware. We used different pulls for the kitchen and the rest of the home. They missed that and drilled for the same hardware. Dan advised me of the problem, and being the reasonable people we are, we agreed that Dan would replace the hardware with something we still liked. He offered to go to a specialty hardware store to try to get a match with our original choice in order to make us happy. In the end, both sides were lucky that we found an acceptable replacement at the local Home Depot. I'm guessing that's a lesson learned and won't happen again.

In the end, we were exceptionally pleased with the work, and should we actually move in the future, we will use Better Than New Kitchens - no second estimate required.

I would highly recommend Valley discount cabinets! From the moment, I walked into their store to the finished product I was beyond satisfied and very Happy  with the customer service, the design to the finished cabinets! They turned out beautiful! We are extremely happy with the outcome of our cabinets. One of our friends thought we bought new cabinets. Grapevine did a beautiful job. They were punctual and nice to work with.

After attending the Phoenix Home & Garden show we decided to go w/ a professional closet installation vs do it yourself. We got 3 bids & selected Space Solutions. Their bid was the lowest & after comparing apples to apples & w/ the great YELP reviews it was a no Brainer!!

Matt came out a few times to bid & double check & walk thru exactly what we wanted. We appreciated his attention to detail. We installed cabinets in the laundry room as well as two closets shelving, drawers & hanging for about half what the other companies quoted. In addition, they, Matt & the installers were prompt & timely. The install was quick & easy. They had to return to install some trim but that was effortless.

Tip: we painted the walls so we didn't incur additional charges for having backing on the cabinets. It looks really great.

Wish all of the tradesmen on this remodel were as professional as Modern Solutions. #integrity & #honesty are so appreciated!!

This place did a fantastic job, got a quote about a month or so before install of the epoxy floors and cabinets.  They came on the day they said they would and arrived on time to start both jobs.   Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get their garage floors done and or have cabinets installed.

Absolutely stellar service and products! Being that this was my very first time ever buying something so important, I needed a lot of guidance and someone with patience for my anxiety over a perfect kitchen for my short timeline and a small budget. Crysty was exceptional! From the moment we stepped foot in the door I knew this was our kind of place. Locally made cabinets built less than a mile from the showroom? Yes, please!! Friendly, helpful people that want to make sure you get exactly what you want, in a reasonable time? Yes, please!! Patient with my neurotic questions and requests? Crysty is a saint! Communication was easy and fluid. I never once worried about our cabinets, I always felt like the most important customer. (Even though I know we were a tiny order in comparison to most.) I would send everyone I know here. This was the easiest part of our entire project, and I am so grateful!

We have worked with Chris on multiple projects and have referred him to friends who have had equally good experience.  He is in high demand so don't expect a quick turnaround, but you will be rewarded for your patience.

They exceeded my expectations on the new kitchen cabinets. Good value for my money, easy to work with, and was completed in a timely manner. Pleased with the process and final end result.

We've used Mikey for numerous projects at home. He's a perfectionist, and won't settle for less than beautiful work, which I appreciate. Now that he's back from deployment I'm hiring him for several custom projects in my photography studio.

All I needed was a replacement piece to the back of one of my kitchen drawers. I had gone to lowes, Home Depot, etc. no one would help. My kitchen drawer front broke off, and I needed the back piece of wood with a router cut in it. I found Arizona Custom Cabinets via search near me. I went there and explained my issue, and showed the gentleman who helped me the piece of broken wood. He said oh yeah let me look in back. 5 minutes later he returns with a freshly cut (exactly measured) piece of wood to replace my broken piece. You've saved me! How much do I owe? The gentleman says 10 dollars. All I had were credit cards so he says I don't deal with cards just bring it by next time your around. Seriously? What excellent, immediate customer service!! I drove to the nearest atm and returned with $20. He wanted to give me change and I said no, an extra $10 is the least I could do for his professional, immediate, courteous help.

I don't need new cabinets, I just needed the one piece and they saved me! I do know if I need any type of cabinetry work done in the future I will go to Arizona Custom Cabinets! Sir, if you read this, thank you again!

Save yourself a lot of time and energy in researching the best and go with Phoenix Cabinet Company. I'm using them for the second time for another project in Scottsdale because I was so impressed after the first project. They are professional, diligent, detailed, fair priced and they ensure you are in love with the finish product. They do custom and they are a dealer of Soliid so it's great to be able to mix and match! Call Kevin, he's my favorite. He will take care of you!

My neighbor recommended me to you guys and I was not disappointed. The cabinets are standard soft close which is a plus. The sales rep and designer were very helpful through my appointment. Amazing quality!

First, Lisa in design, she is fired.   OC as manager, he is no help because I went thru a contractor.  Then there is Rick, who, because of downsizing and moving people around, tried but had no clout.   YES, the material I bought was past the 30 days return, BUT, at the very least, store credit for unopened merchandise; Brian UDart is a total failure, but his boss is more of a dolt.   No one has customer service on their mind, thus total failures in life.  One star is two stars too many.   Absolutely disgusted with this company, but I doubt in they care.

Randy Smith was super helpful, very knowledgeable and help my husband and I through the massive kitchen remodel.  He was patient and made the process fun! We spent more than we thought, however the end product was worth it and so beautiful!!  You cannot go wrong with Randy. The professional that came to do install, Greg Phillips, was wonderful.  He is a wizard and so hard working.  He aims to please.  All good news!

We made an appointment, went in to talk and pick out our cabinets colors and styles. Greg, who made sure we knew he was the GM told us he would work up a design and get back to us. I emailed him the info and he responded he would be out of town for a few days, I respond and said no trouble at all. A few weeks went by, never heard a word from him. So my husband made a phone call and asked him what was going on and if he would get a quote back to us soon. He said yes he was busy and forgot about it but he would get us something and now it's been over two weeks and he hasn't even contacted us. I wouldn't even waste my time at this place!
