Very responsive and helpful with scheduling. Estimated price was higher than the work that was actually done and still and to pay the estimated price.

I've used First Chicago when it was I think just the owner, Eugene. Now it sounds like they have a small group of plumbers and a shop on Elston Ave. It's not surprising they are growing. Today, Jorge Serna was pleasant, fast, and gave me helpful advice about following through with their my own maintenance. Good communication, excellent service, reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Just finished my appointment with First Chicago Plumbing, and after the disasters I have been dealing with from other contractors I've used, I felt compelled to leave this review on a business that does things right. Eugene was quick to respond and very professional over email. Scheduling an appointment was easy and they were able to make it out the same week.

Jorge and Sergio (I believe that was his name) were the ones on site. They were nice and explained everything to me. There was some work that was up in the air on whether it needed to be done, and ultimately they were able to get the job done without the additional work.

The biggest part of my work was correcting a disposal hook up my contractor horribly botched during my kitchen renovation. They were able to correct everything and hook it up correctly. It looks SO much better (see before and after pictures attached).

Everything was cleaned up and then tested in front of me to make sure it worked.

I thought the price was fair and very close to the quote I received. It's the city, so if you want good work you can't cheap out (as I've learned the hard way). Ultimately I was just happy to have actual licensed professionals who knew what they were doing.

I'll definitely use these guys again and keep them on my speed-dial for any future plumbing needs!

Racing to make a dinner date I broke the shower lever last night and was not able to turn off the water.  We have a partial water supply shut down so there was a trickle of water all night.  I immediately searched and messaged Eugene from First Chicago and he said they would come today!  Their estimate was accurate and they worked fast and well to fix our problem.  They completed their work in about one hour and worked as a team to assess and respond to our needs.  If you have a problem call Eugene and he will help you.  Thanks for responding to our needs.  Sincerely, Joe

If I you could do partial stars I would give them like 4.25/5.  Great work, good communication, very accommodating, very pleasant to work with.  Mine was a huge project that cost $26k.  Moving plumbing, adding plumbing, installing a smart multi outlet shower, tankless water heaters etc.  Very responsive when there's an issue.  Would highly recommend for either small or large projects.

I had a problem with a connection to my dishwasher. I took photos and was told that my connection was not to code . I needed to correct this. They brought two disposals for me select based on my need. The plumbing needed reconfiguring . It was costly but I had no estimates from other sources so I can not evaluate the costs.
The workmen were neat friendly and did the job. They kept me in the loop.

Vasyl from First Chicago Plumbing was just here and was great. Very professional, and remedied our toilet issue quickly and without issue.

I contacted First Chicago Plumbing to fix a leaking toilet. Office staff were pleasant over the phone, and they provided an estimate over email with a couple pictures of the toilet and description of the leak. The plumber who came out was pleasant and professional. He realized the toilet wasn't secured properly to the floor (something I knew, but forgot to ask about initially), and demonstrated why that was the case (the flange was basically rusted to pieces). He needed to run out to as he didn't have the correct replacement part, but I greatly appreciated that compared to forcing me to schedule another service call. Overall, fixed the leak, fixed another problem I forgot to initially mention, and cleaned up well. Would call them again.

quoted an outrageous price before understanding the issue.  when i sent supporting information requesting they proceed with 2 simple fixes before completely changing out my mixer, they never contacted back.

Fast response, quick estimates.  They arrived on time, workers masked up, worked quickly and respected our property.  They carefully wrapped our furnace and water heater and cleaned up before they left.  I was very pleased with the quality of their work .

These guys came and fixed a leaky pipe for me. They did a great job. I would recommend giving these guys a try for your plumbing needs. Good communication, fast and precise work.

Look no further, these people are amazing.  After rejecting three other plumbing contractors who were either too expensive or too flaky, we hired First Chicago to replace all of the steel water pipes with copper in our 1904 house and install a new water heater.  They showed up on time, explained everything, involved me in decision making, and did a really solid job. Eugene, who I think owns the business as well as works onsite, was very good natured and took delight in problem solving.   When a couple of punch list items came up after the job, they came back within a week without argument to handle it.  The woman working in their office was smart and pleasant.  Their online customer interface sent detailed estimates, scheduling confirmations and text alerts when the plumbers were on the way.  I was expecting this job to be awful but in fact it was wonderful.

I (weirdly and accidentally!) got a  spray bottle stuck in my toilet pipes, and it was super clogged. First Chicago Plumbing was FANTASTIC! Raudel arrived exactly on time, and he was friendly and super resourceful -- had to try a whole bunch of different things to get that dang bottle out, and he was professional and communicative throughout. It was all reasonably priced too, considering he literally UNINSTALLED and REINSTALLED the toilet?! I absolutely recommend these guys (and Raudel specifically!). Lifesavers.

First Chicago Plumbing was very responsive to my communications via text and email regarding a quotation and very accommodating with scheduling an appointment. The initial quotation was in-line with other vendors, but was made easier with the good dialog and communication from Eugene. For the appointment, he arrived promptly, masked, performed the work as expected, and was very good about answering all of my questions and follow-up items. Will be reaching out to them for future work.

We had a great experience with First Chicago. We were having a pest problem with our sump and ejector pumps, but, being new homeowners, really had no idea what to do. I didn't even know what an ejector pump was! First Chicago was informative and responsive. I particularly appreciate their ability to answer questions over email, if it's difficult to talk on the phone during the day. They took the time to understand the problem and recommended a great course of action. They were also the lowest quote we got for these services. Highly recommend!

Gathered 4 different quotes to have a water line and spigot run from my roof deck to our nearest bathroom(~12 ft).  First Chicago Plumbing was the cheapest quote we received, with the next closest quote over twice the amount of First Chicago's.  Moved forward with First Chicago Plumbing to perform the work, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Not only were they the price leader, but their quality of work was/is impeccable. Additionally, the two plumbers that performed the work were friendly and engaging - a delight to work with overall. Having been 9 months since install, the spigot and bib have held up very well through the rough Chicago winter, and I have no doubts First Chicago Plumbing will be my go-to plumbing contractor moving forward.

Eugene and Jorge did a great job replacing my tankless water heater.  They really took their time and did a top notch job.  They really know the Navien products well and their response time and communication were the best of the plumbers I had bid on the project.  Highly recommended.

We hired First Chicago Plumbing to install the necessary plumbing, laundry box, vents and drains for our electric washer and dryer. Eugene and team were highly efficient in terms of email communications and were able to answer any questions I had regarding permits, inspections, licenses, etc. The team visited 3-4 times to ensure everything was done to the highest standard, permits were passed and inspections completed. The work was performed high quality work, ensured I was kept updated throughout, and made sure to clean up after themselves on all occasions. Extremely professional.  Plumber called and asked if it was ok to come earlier than scheduled (YES!) and was extremely professional and organized.  Came in and fixed our toilet seal and tuned up our toilet while he was at it.  Extremely clean, courteous, and excellent work.  Highly recommend.

We've used First Chicago a couple times.  Back in May, our sump pump died during some heavy rain.  First Chicago was able to get out that day, and put in a new/solid sump pump at a good price.  They were very consultative, and walked me through what they were seeing with our new house.  They also tested out our backup and showed me that it had died.  We liked them so much that we had them come back recently to install a new backup sump pump system.  Again, they were great to work with this time as well (shout out to Martin for the great work, and taking the time to walk me through everything.) Will definitely use these guys for all our plumbing needs moving forward.

Excellent service, showed up on time and did quick professional work.  They informed me before they came about what I should have so they wouldn't have to come out twice and charge me. Which I appreciated.  Highly recommend.

We had a persistent sewer gas issue in our house for a long period over the winter. It was an awful experience that leaked raw sewer smells into the basement, which was subsequently vented into the whole house through the central air system. We were unable to escape outside due to covid and cold, and it led to a miserable wintertime. I would not wish that on anybody.

We had multiple other companies out to try and address the issue, and nobody seemed to offer much help.

We had Eugene and his team out many times to try and address the root cause, and found a whole host of issues, probably caused by the interior drain tile installation (Reliable Basement).

Eugene and team were professional, on-time, patient, and dogged about trying to find the root case. We ultimately found issues with cracked pipes along the drain tile system, a crack in the floor drain, as well as a collapsed pipe on the city side. All of which was difficult to diagnose due to our house being quite old.

I cannot speak highly enough about First Chicago Plumbing, and would never hesitate to get their assistance.

There aren't enough stars to provide an accurate rating for First Chicago Plumbing. I reached out with an immediate need, our water heater had decided to go out on one of the coldest days in chicago. The entire group of people was the most friendly and accommodating to work with. They had someone out within the same day, had the quote for the new unit within minutes of the site visit, and the new unit was installed within 48 hours. There were several follow ups from them after the installation making sure everything was working properly which was awesome! Everything was explained throughout the work that was being done. I cannot stress this enough, if you need a plumber in the city of chicago you have found them. Highly recommend this group!

I felt compelled to write a review to warn other consumers about this business so that others didn't have the same experience as mine. First off let me be clear that I did NOT utilize FCP's services. I called for an estimate to get a new outdoor spigot installed. I'd already looked at some YouTube videos so I knew roughly the difficulty level (it takes about 15-20 min).  I also researched the avg prices in my area ($200 for new frost-proof spigot). Well the customer service rep who took my call quoted me $1100 (almost 4x the avg cost)!!! I was shocked and told her I'd need to think about it. I then called 2 other plumbers and ended up going with E.Z. plumbing for a price of $175 plus materials (about $210 total). Eliezer came over 2 days later and voila: I have a new spigot! If you're considering FCP I strongly encourage you to shop around first bc their pricing borders on price-gouging.

First Chicago Plumbing is great! They responded right away when I contacted them. I've used them twice now and they did a great job both times. Once for my toilet which was making a loud noise when flushing. The second for a leak we had in the kitchen sink. They came right away and fixed the leak and replaced the old faucet with the new one I'd purchased. They are honest and will not pull a fast one.
I'd recommend their business to anyone.

They installed tankless water heater in my house instead of regular tank. The whole process from getting a quote to the finished installation was very smooth. Eugene guided me through the whole process. Then they even sent me some information on how to get rebates on my tax return for installing a tankless water heater which was very helpful. The quote I got completely online, based on pictures and answering a few questions. The final price I paid matched the quote provided. The job looks beautiful! I highly recommend First Chicago Plumbing as they are very professional and provide best customer service!

First Chicago Plumbing and Eugene in particularly were fabulous to work with.  We used First Chicago Plumbing to replace the galvanized pipes in our building with copper and it was a good experience through the whole process.  I especially appreciated that Eugene was very communicative through the whole process and took the time to explain all the equipment installed and what he had done that day or encountered in terms of complications.  Would definitely recommend!

Wasted my time and money and didn't solve the problem. Frankly I expected top service for the prices they charge ($250 just for diagnosis). They looked at my water heater and quickly concluded that I needed a new pilot assembly. They made me wait a few days because they didn't have the part, and wanted an additional $285 to replace a $35 part. I didn't have a good feeling about the training/experience of these plumbers and I was proven right. The part they replaced wasn't even the problem. They called the manufacturer and were told that it might be the gas valve. All along they did not know how to diagnose the problem by themselves. They relied on the manufacturer for advice both times. Then they offered me to replace the whole unit for $1,680 but at this point I was not interested on their overpriced and unreliable service. In the end I did decide to replace the water heater but I hired a different company who did it for a much more reasonable $300 plus the cost of the water heater.

I had no idea that my toilets were unique and polarizing.  Not all plumbers can handle rear-entry toilets apparently, but fortunately First Chicago was one who could.  First Chicago arrived on time, assessed the situation, set up an installation date... and then showed up and completed it.  What a concept!  Professional, timely, and competent.  They even provided the quality products without any supply chain whining or blame shifting.  So, I sit here on my throne a happy consumer.  Thanks, First Chicago!

They did a quick and great job installing my new garbage disposal. Very professional service!

This review is based on numerous plumbing services costing well over a thousand dollars provided on a single day. Two events occurred that never should have happened. The details:

About a week before the work date, the lead plumber (?owner) Eugene, advised me that  the main water supply in the house will have to be turned off for some of the various jobs, and he warned that when the water is turned on again it is likely to be discolored and have some sediment. A fair and thoughtful warning.  Early in the work day I reminded him of his warning and I suggested that installation of two new replacement kitchen faucets be done last, after the water main had been turned on again and after the system was flushed.  Eugene assured me that there would be no problem.  A few hours later, Eugene told me that he had installed the first kitchen faucet but it was useless because it was clogged by sediment. Yes, just incredible.  

Eugene also installed a new single handle shower faucet.  About a day later, I contacted him and complained that there is just a little warm water coming from the shower while before his repair there was an excellent flow of hot water.  He answered that it sounds like the faucet got clogged due to rust and sediments from the old plumbing.  He recommended to flush the water heater or replace it if it's over 10-12 y.o. but that he'd have to charge me his minimum fee of $150 as he's not responsible for any existing plumbing conditions. I explained that this is not an issue of diminished flow, but rather, the shower handle only turns 90 degrees, from 3 o'clock back to 12 o'clock, and it is supposed to turn 120 degrees. He answered that the shower handle is supposed to be turning from 12-3 according to the shower faucet model you got... I then sent him the installation pdf documenting that the handle was supposed to turn 120 degrees, that the amount of rotation of the handle is governed by a rotational limit stop that is adjustable, and a link to a YouTube video showing how this is done.  (The rotational limit stop (also known as rotational stop limit) is a safety feature in all modern shower faucets to prevent scalding.  It is required according to Chicago plumbing code - § 18-29-417.4.4.)  Eugene's response to this?  The problem is most likely coming from the existing plumbing.

I adjusted the rotational limit stop and fixed the problem myself.

Just sad.  Some other work (even more complicated work) was done very well.  Eugene sounds pleasant and he responds quickly.  Had just one of the above events occurred, I might have been tempted to shrug it off.  But both in one day?  The red flags don't get any bigger or brighter.

First Chicago Plumbing easily exceeded my expectations. Did the job right, quickly, and were easy to work with. Their communication by phone and through email regarding the appointment and on the service appointment was very clear. I thought they would have to replace the main valve where the hot and cold enter my condo but they repaired it instead, saving me extra expense. Glad to find such fine, experienced plumbers. Very reliable. No attitude. I know I'll call them in the future.

My situation changed from a leaky faucet to a failed sump pump. AP Construction (APC) contacted me and came out the next morning. After a quick tour of the house, they quoted me a price. The got the parts and began the repairs, and in no time things were looking good. Then APC found an additional problem and made arrangements for a referral and those men came out shortly and they then solved that problem (unknown to me) as well.

Through all the ups and downs, things were explained to me and I was asked to participate in the process - they explained everything and why they were recommending things. I found APC to be very professional, courteous and respectful to my needs and would encourage that you ask them to look at your plumbing problem and offer their advice - a second opinion that might save you some aggravation.

Their fee was reasonable, the workmanship was top notch and I not be looking for another plumber as they are now my first call...

We've used First Chicago Plumbing a few times and have always had a great experience. Their customer service is quick, responsive and friendly. We had a blocked drainage line backing up in our basement. They moved things around to  come out the same day we called and their pricing was fair. They aren't the cheapest but we've used other services and you get what you pay for. They were upfront about their pricing. Will definitely use them again.

We had new countertops installed, and a new sink along with it, and I was looking for a plumber to come in behind them to get our faucet (installed) and reconnected.  We also had a fixture we wanted changed out in the bathroom.  These guys were able to come out that same day and do everything I needed done.

They couldn't test the bathroom fixture and warned me about the leak that absolutely occurred because of the drain size.  I texted them, they came back out now that they could run the water, and got me all fixed up (again).  I really hope I'm not a regular customer, but I know I have great plumbers if I do.

The company did a fantastic job of replacing a hot water heater. Really stellar. Responded quickly. Demonstrated fantastic knowledge. Gave a great price. I would never go anywhere else.

On time. Got done what I needed done fast and everything looks great. I will certainly be hiring them again for any plumbing needs that arise.

First Chicago did great work installing plumbing to our new bathroom and fixing an issue with our gas pipes. They were very organized and responsive and answered any questions I had. They are a super nice, hardworking team and I will definitely hire them for future projects!

Our experience with First Chicago Plumbing was excellent, and we'll be using them for future projects. We were remodeling out bathroom and needed a new tub installed. Eugene quickly responded to my request for a quote and was able to provide his quote using photos and product specs which made the process easier during a pandemic. During demo, we were surprised to find some unexpected pipes in a wall that needed to be moved to fit our new tub. Eugene was responsive and discussed the issue with us over the phone on the weekend which we incredibly appreciated. He and his team came prepared the next day for both the installation and the adjustment of the pipe issue. They got our new tub up to the third floor safely, installed it perfectly, gave us helpful advice and moved the pipes as expected to make our new tub fit. Everything has worked smoothly since their installation and we're thankful to them for making this process easy.

The most horrible thing that has ever happened to me was my kitchen sink becoming clogged. I didn't even know that was a thing that could happen since I have a garbage disposal and am very careful what I put in there!
Anyways, I tried the Yelp app feature of asking for estimates from different plumbing places, and first Chicago was the only one that responded with an actual dollar amount estimate right away.

They fixed the problem for the amount of money they estimated. I will definitely use them for my future plumbing needs.

I will say, they changed our appt time the day of because the plumber had to bump is to see an emergency. Of course, if I have an emergency in the future I would be happy if they came to keep first so I get it. But, if you are a person that is very impatient or anal about time you have to consider that.

Great experience. Got a quote from yelp to replace a water heater in a rental unit. Eugene was easy to communicate with and provided a turnkey experience at a fair price. Would highly recommend them.

We had a great experience with First Chicago Plumbing. They gave an estimate ahead of time based on a photo we sent them and arrived with everything needed to fix our 2 plumbing issues. The price was reasonable, and Eugene was very professional and efficient.

I had Eugene come out an install an ice line for my fridge. I had incorrectly informed the team when they were quoting the job that the valve needed to connect the line was there. When Eugene came out he saw that he needed to go out a buy the piece I needed to get the job done correctly. He worked with integrity and I wasn't charged extra for his time buying the necessary part due my error. I felt their prices were reasonable, plumbing is never cheap, but I felt the price was fair. I would definitely recommend Eugene and First Chicago Plumbing.

Amazing experience and team. Eugene and team were prompt, dealt with me over something like 30 emails, and were super knowledgeable. Took the time to explain when they hit a hiccup and how much extra it would be, and took the time to try to find a replacement versus installing a brand new faucet. They did my faucet and a whole house filter and were very reasonably priced and brought 3 people to get it done quickly!

When I did hear back they said they wouldn't be able to come by for six days. Couldn't go a week without water.

This company is AMAZING! We had a last minute toilet situation and the next day Eugene and his team came to our unit. They are so awesome and very fair in the price. I'm really excited that we found the perfect plumbing company!!!!! You won't be disappointed so call them today!

Communication by e-mail seemed to work best - it was quick and clear and left us knowing what to expect. Charges were exactly as quoted, the work was done correctly, and the plumber was able to speak with our home warranty company so the repair could be partially reimbursed. Appointments must be cancelled or re-scheduled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.

I had a simple job to put new shutoff valves on my hot water heater, but for some reason no other plumbers wanted to do the work (saying things like we don't work with water heaters anymore or just never calling me back). First Chicago Plumbing contacted me back immediately, gave me a reasonable quote, and came to finish the job the next day.

Have used these guys for a few projects with a couple of my properties. They are quick to follow up and communicate everything clearly via email and invoices, I misinterpreted something that one of workers and I discussed, but it was in fact written clear as day in the invoice, so it was my fault. they are very fair, and wont do unnecessary work if it is not needed. They will also make recommendations, but will not pressure you into getting those things performed. They are on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for! Have not had any issues with any of the work they completed, and they were super helpful and flexible with scheduling!

Eugene and crew are honest, courteous and straightforward. They gave me valuable information about a recent two flat purchase and performed the work we needed as promised. I will definitely be using them in the future! Thank you.

I can't speak to the quality of their work, but their customer service left a lot to be desired. I inquired about an issue I had and through messaging, they were dismissive and seemed uninterested in helping. The water heater is fairly new and when I explained that, I was told to call the manufacturer to order parts. Im in need of a technician/repair man because I don't know what is wrong with the water heater to begin with. How am I supposed to know what parts I need if I don't even know what is wrong? After I made that clear, I was ignored and did not receive any further response.

As an update, I was just contacted by the company this morning asking me to take down my review. They proceeded to be argumentative, condescending, and dismissive regarding the incident. I explained to them that I would not be taking down my review regarding their customer service and was disappointed in their lack of professionalism.

These guys were hands down amazing.

Long story short, I am in the middle of doing a kitchen renovation and am trying to do most the work myself. When we first experienced plumbing issues in our kitchen sink. I sent over some pictures to see what it would cost to fix and what the problem might be. First Chicago Plumbing not only responded quickly, but was able to give me a quote right then. They also did a great job at educating me what was wrong and giving me different approached to solve the problem.

I would DEFINITELY recommend. I know I will be using these guys for any and all plumbing needs moving forward.

These guys are amazing!  They ordered toilets for me and installed them just in time for a party I'm having!  They were on time and everything is working perfectly!

Fast Response, fair price, quick and tidy service!

I hired First Chicago Plumbing to replace 4 tank hot water heaters in my 4-flat.  Their rate was much more reasonable than the others I contacted and the work appears to be well done.

Avoid these guys.  Came in to fix my toilets which were running.  They replaced 2 flappers and gaskets for $450.  This would have been fine if everything worked.  But hours later the toilet was still running.  

He came back and eventually fixed it.  But then after 1-2 days a terrible sewer smell came from the toilet.  We've never had anything like this.  

When I asked them to come back for the sewer smell, we made an appointment and then they cancelled on me last minute.  

So out $450, new problem, and not reliable about appointments.

Not a good plumber.  Look elsewhere.

I waited a few months to review the repair on our bath tub. We had the leak repaired 4 times by a few plumbers. It would not leak for a few months and start back up again. So far we have had zero water leaking. The repair cost was VERY reasonable which I can say with absolute confidence since we had 3 other plumbers come for estimates before choosing Eugene and crew. They were very curtious, cleaned up after themselves, and were on time. I would use this company again for my plumbing needs.

I had to replace my garbage disposal under the kitchen sink. I called four different companies to get a quote. One company told me they couldn't give quotes over the phone; they would have to come out, but I would have to pay them for coming over even if I decided the quote was too high. The other two companies gave me ridiculously high quotes. When I called First Chicago Plumbing and explained what I needed to get done, they gave me a very reasonable quote and scheduled an appointment three days later. On the day of the appointment, they called an hour before to let me know they were on their way. They got everything done in 20 min. They were very nice and professional. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again for any of the plumbing related issues.

I found First Chicago Plumbing on yelp and requested a quote.  I received a response within 15 mins asking for a picture of the valve that needed to be replaced before i could have the dishwasher installed and 5 minutes later I had a quote that was lower than the other quotes. I was able to call and had an appt scheduled the next day.   They sent me a text letting me know that they would be here in 30 minutes and were on time.  They explained what they needed to do and why and got it down quickly. i will absolutely use them again for my future plumbing issues.

Eugene and team was terrific. Scheduled service while out of town talked me through everything needed to replace 3 tank gas water heaters. Discussed the optimal units for space and even came earlier than expected to install. They completed all their work in an afternoon and did a great job. Was prompt with estimate and went above and beyond to make sure everything was updated properly without increasing estimate. I would highly recommend them.

I live in Bucktown now - not Orland Park.  I had a slow drip in my ceiling and couldn't figure out where the water was coming from.  Eugene came out and immediately figured out my problem and had things back to normal in no time at all.  While he was here, he fixed my toilet that was constantly running, as well. I'll call First Chicago Plumbing again!

My husband and I recently bought our first home and had a lot of issues with our basement, including bursting sewage pipes, flooding, etc. Eugene was incredibly helpful in explaining what needed to be done. He was also willing to come by on a short notice, even on weekends, and did very good work. In addition, Eugene also installed a laundry box in a unit we rehabbed, and did a terrific job. In late May First Chicago Plumbing replaced the faucets in two bathrooms and the kitchen and also replaced the diverter in the bathtub.  Eugene and the gentleman with him (I don't recall his name) were very professional and very nice.  Eugene took the time to explain everything to me and answered any questions I had, even after the job was completed.  Eugene even checked on our hot water heater and gave us an estimate to replace it when the time comes (which will likely be in the next few months!)  He will definitely be the person I call!!  I highly recommend First Chicago Plumbing for all your plumbing needs.

As usual, I wait until the last second to do any home repairs and this was no exception. I had the day off the next day and hoped to get some work done. I emailed Eugene through Yelp and received a response almost immediately. Not only is he a smart, super nice guy but he texted me that he was available the following day! He came over, assessed the situation and just got the work done on the spot. Really reasonably priced, fast and just good natured. I would use Eugene and First Chicago Plumbing again in a second. I had an issue with low water pressure in my high rise unit. I called Eugene for service. He came the next morning and fixed the problem quickly. He took the time to clean out the part that had a blockage instead of just replacing it which saved me money. Eugene is fast, professional and reliable. Thanks Eugene!

They were able to fix my burst pipe within 1 day of asking early Monday morning so the building's tenants could have water again. It was super slammed after the polar vortex but they were on top of everything at a fair price. If i have any more emergencies in the future they will be my first call.

I hired AP Construction  to install a brand new full bathroom in my basement. We received several bids from others, but AP Construction was the lowest price and could work around our schedules. The father/son team of Atanas and Eugene were great to work with. They were punctual every morning, coming from the city and arriving in Plainfield by 7:30 am each morning. It only took them 1.5 weeks to complete the full bathroom installation, which included all new piping (underground and above ground), an ejector pit, framing, drywall, and shower installation. These guys are very hard workers and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for plumbing needs and complete bathroom installation.

Fast response time. Efficient repair work. Friendly technician who explained the steps he was taking. All in all a great service call.

I can only say wonderful things about Eugene and George!  Our hot water heater started leaking (with nothing to drain it) on Friday night.  I messaged Eugene through Yelp around 10pm and he responded an hour later that he could likely help me on Saturday.  Eugene and George were at our house on Saturday by 1pm to fix our unit and installed quickly.  They even suggested a tray and pvc tubing to drain the tank should we have leaking again.

I would suggest these guys to anyone!  I would also use them for any future plumbing needs.

I had a small gas leak that required attention right away and First Chicago saved the day! They gave me a quote via Yelp very quickly and were able to come out the same day. Very reasonable price compared to other estimates and the work was done quickly and well. They assured me that if the leak was still there when the gas was turned back on they would come back for free to address it, but there was no need. Nicor turned the gas back on and the repair did the trick. Thank you First Chicago!

This was the first time i've used these guys- I found them by Yelp review so I had no way of knowing their work from a personal referral. I was having a hard time getting a plumber to change a bad stem in the bathtub- it's a small job, I know, but I couldn't do it myself. Eugene and his partner came and I realized it was a good thing I called them- I knew my bathtub plumbing was old and hard to find parts for but they managed in a Mc Gyver way to replace the stem, and it works. Plus these guys were very friendly- they met me at the door with a handshake and a smile. They were polite, and very, very informative.  They also made suggestions on updating the tub hardware which I am going to do, and I plan to let them do the work.

Our building is very old (over 125 yrs) and my aunt was having issues with a leaky faucet in her bathroom.  I found First Chicago Plumbing's reviews convincing to give them a call to help with this situation.  I spoke with Eugene and he asked for a photo to see the style faucet so he could make sure he had the proper parts when he came to see the job.  The next day he was there with the correct parts in hand and had the job done in no time.  He was very kind and courteous and the prices cannot be beat.  If you have any plumbing related problems these guys are a definite YES when it comes to reliability and professionalism.  I highly recommend them!

Our original contractor made a mess of our shower waste drain to the point that water wouldn't drain after taking a shower. Saved the day! I know it's Chicago and naturally there's more in the industry but still. For a fast on demand fix that's done professionally and without judgment, A+ 100% 6 STARS! Customer service recurrently first to respond and communicate with me via easiest method email phone text etc. Billing was a snap! Fast secure and safe via check or Chase Quick Pay with Visa or Mastercard (wouldn't accept Amex no complaints here as most in the industry charge the consumer a 3 pct swipe fee or offer cash discount, no haggling here. Sure I could have attempted to fix this broken toilet myself but when you are entertaining there's no time for discrepancies. Eugene and Atanas are the two most courteous I've met. Believe me even I would have pause over this small job due to odd birthday costumes etc. Lol. I suggest they offer a area for later follow up review with gratuity. Granted this job wasn't huge but I do firmly believe in gratuity if a jobs done above and beyond expectations and earlier than promised! I literally pulled up when they arrived on time they were done an hour earlier! That's critical to me having dealt with runaround etc. Again, if you want diy or cheap then go do it. If you want a firm solid number that doesn't have surprises, this is IT! THEY SAVED THE DAY!

I had a great experience using First Chicago Plumbing.  Their prices are reasonable.  They texted me throughout the process, showing me pictures of the problem.  And payment was super easy (quick pay).  Will definitely use them again.

I was very impressed with the fast response time and honest opinion of First Chicago Plumbing.  I am currently selling a property and the buyer asked to have the rusted gas pipe to the grill outside replaced per the inspection.  I contacted First Chicago Plumbing for an estimate and they got back to me within an hour to schedule an appointment that afternoon! Unlike some other companies I contacted, they did not charge to come out and look at the issue to provide an estimate which I appreciated. Upon looking at the pipe, our plumber, Eugene, stated that the rust was purely cosmetic and was not impacting the functionality (no gas leaks or weak spots); it was just normal for a pipe being outside.  He recommended leaving it alone because the new pipe would rust in a year again anyway and there was nothing wrong with it. I asked for a write up of his recommendation that I could provide to the buyer and he promptly got it to me the same day.

While I did not have any work done, I will definitely contact them in the future for any plumbing needs as I appreciated their honesty and was more than happy with the estimate they provided if, in fact, the pipe were to be replaced.

Outstanding service! They called to let me know when they would arrive, they were neat and professional, provide helpful recommendations for avoiding future service issues, they unclogged the drain thoroughly at the price quoted the previous day and then installed a new utility sink for me for a very reasonable price - this was outside of the original service request, but they went the extra mile to help me. I have no hesitation in recommending and/or calling them for service again.
