Called when they opened because I woke up to an inch of water in my basement. I could tell when they answered that it had already been a long day at 7am. Despite that, they were able to get me scheduled quickly and the Plumber who arrived _early_ was amazing. Big shout out to Josh for taking the time to help me understand what happened, why, how to mitigate it, and how to remedy the situation. Overall, just a good guy to be around and I couldn't be more thankful.

Oh, and competitive pricing too. I expected a much higher price. The other high-praise reviews are spot-on. I'll definitely reach out to them again in the future.

Just had these guys out here to fix a gas pipe leak. Called yesterday afternoon and they had availability this morning, which was fantastic because our gas had to be shut off and therefore we had no heat.

Couldn't be happier with the service and price, and our guy Rick was a pleasure to talk to, had decades of experience and knew what he was doing. I will be using these guys for everything plumbing related going forward.

Responded quickly, and was able to schedule a visit for free estimate.
When Tim arrived and looked at what the problem was, he fixed it right away, in less than 2min. Because it was such an easy, super fast fix, he didn't charge me at all. I wish I could've at least tipped him, but he simpler said have a nice day and left.

Green Tech Plumbing is still my go-to for my plumbing needs. I had another clogged kitchen sink episode (when will we learn?) and tried unclogging it myself with a snake, plunging (doesn't work, since we have a vent), baking soda/vinegar for a nice little volcano, and gave up. We got an appointment the next day with Green Tech Plumbing. The person on the phone was friendly and told us Josh will be there tomorrow.

Josh came a few minutes early and was friendly, courteous, personable, and professional. Very cool guy. We explained the situation and after he briefly took a look at things, came back with his plumbing colonoscopy equipment and got to work. He put on plastic drapery for the surgery, to make sure there wasn't a mess, which was a nice touch. Easier than a colonoscopy, the clog was conquered in no time. He explained how clogs form/accumulate and was very informative on the situation.

Again, another 5-star review. As of time of writing, they are still offering a Yelp discount, so that was a nice touch to a pricy (but comparable to other places) bill. No more body parts down the drain... I'll be using the trash can instead from now on.

The old wallet's feeling a bit lighter after being slapped with a $900 fee for what, two johns(standard round toilets) that I supplied to the plumber, along with a rubber and wax ring that I had on hand. Sounds a bit rich to me, doesn't it to you? No curveballs thrown in the way, no pesky repair flanges to contend with(because i removed it), and yet...the plumber decides to slap on his own putty instead of opting for the tried and true gasket? Not to mention the job was done in two hours on the dot. ($900 for labor??)
A bit curious, I must say. Had I known the
final tally, I might've taken matters into my
own hands. A bit of elbow grease and a
trusty flange removal tool, and I would have been all set.
And so, my friends, it seems like it's time to
put pen to paper and share my experience
with the world. Let others know the ins and
outs of these plumbing shenanigans without
holding back on the details. After all,
knowledge is power and power is..well, you
know the rest.

(A side note, he removed a water filtration from under the kitchen sink that was supposed to be removed on the last visit. Also he found clay like grease in the pea trap that was also supposed to be snaked the last visit as well but apparently didn't happen, so these tasks should have been complimentary)

Update: I received a call to make this right and they did. So I've updated my review because they did the work for the agreed upon amount, were professional, polite and fixed the issue.

So many 5 star reviews, when I had a plumbing issue the handyman couldn't resolve I had to call. So I did and was quoted $400 (at most) parts and labor for a shower drain leak and slow constant drop from the shower head.

Fast forward to the scheduled repair day and the plumber that came was very close to the scheduled time, so that was a plus. Then I showed him hat was needed and he said the other gentlemen that came out for the estimate had already told him the same that I did.

Two hours later repairs are complete and now I'm hit with a bill over $600. When I told him the estimate was $400 at most he just said he didn't know and it would be over $600. I am disappointed he wouldn't have told me the bill would be higher the moment he knew and not hit me at the end with a big increase. Parts were $138, the total was $636. That means labor was almost $250 an hour, that is extremely high, even for plumbers.

Anyway, the repair seems to be done correctly and hopefully if there are any issues they stand by their work.

Green Tech was amazing! I spoke with the owner and though my condo is well out of their regular service area someone came the next day... and was right on time. Roland was excellent! Very friendly and gracious. He went to work quickly, analyzed systematically and found the specific problem (which other plumbers had not been able to find.) He solved the problem completely and in fact restored water flow much better that I could have hope for. Next time I have any plumbing problem I am going to call them first... and hope Roland and Green Tech will come this way again. These people are great!

Called Green Tech late in the day after getting stood up by another plumbing company for a clogged main line. Zach arrived on time the next morning and was very hardworking, courteous and professional. Our backyard cleanout plug was too far from the clog so he had to go back to the shop to get more cable but didn't charge for the time going back and forth. Job was completed quickly but thoroughly, and billing was transparent and reasonable. Will go back and do business again for preventive maintenance down the line. Thank you

When it became obvious the toilet was irreparable (hey, we got 37 years out of it), they were able to replace it within a day. There's a reason they have 5 stars. I reached out through Yelp and explained my situation. Kevin replied quickly with suggestions on things to trouble shoot before scheduling someone to come out. When those ideas didn't work, it was easy to set up a time to have someone come out. I was prepared to take a full day off of work, but was shocked when they arrived on time, and were in and out in less than 10 minutes. It was an easy fix, no upselling or gimmicks. Even told me to call back if I started having the same problem again and let me know what next steps would be.

It's such a relief when you find a company that's reliable and honest. I went in to work relieved that the issue had been addressed and that I know who to contact with any plumbing issues.

Side note: so respectful of my home. Wore a mask and booties, didn't leave a mess, and greeted my pup.

Greentech has been our go-to company for our plumbing needs ever since we found them on Yelp about 6 years ago. Over the years, we had them rod a sink and bathtub, install a new bathroom sink and toilet, replace a sump pump, and put in a new kitchen faucet.

Today we had Greentech install a new water heater. When we started hearing unusual noises coming from our old water heater (crackling and sizzling noises), it was very quick and easy to get an estimate and to get installation scheduled. Chris did the installation, and he was very professional and courteous. Turns out our old water heater was overdue to be replaced by about 10 years! We appreciate the thorough explanation Chris provided on the new unit. We have a good understanding of what is needed to make sure the water heater operates as it should for many years to come.

We highly recommend Greentech. They do great work and they stand by their products and labor.

We've had Green Tech out twice to fix problems, and both times they did outstanding work! The first time, we had noticed a small amount of water by our hot water heater, so we thought it was leaking. Green Tech came out, investigated, and found it was actually a broken toilet seal on the floor above the hot water heater! This saved us the money and stress of having to replace our hot water heater! (A plumber that our home warranty company had sent out earlier that week, on the other hand, told us we needed a new hot water heater and hundreds of dollars in unspecified plumbing work! We are grateful that Green Tech was honest with us about the problem.)
Yesterday, we had Green Tech out to fix a water line problem. They arrived promptly and fixed it quickly, so we would recommend them to others.

Our water filter under our sink started leaking unexpectedly in the middle of the day. This caused water damage under my sink and inability for us to use our kitchen sink in order to not cause further damage to our cabinetry. I was working with another company who was horrible and Green Tech came to the rescue! They were prompt in response via phone and email! My plumbing repairs in the end were not major, however for someone like me with no insight into plumbing, their advice, professionalism, and quality work in a timely manner was wonderful. I had 4 shower units installed. The plumber was excellent! He was able to complete the work in less time than was originally quoted so the final cost was 30% less. He was reliable, on schedule and kept his area very clean. I was impressed with the quality.

Another service call, another 5 stars. To anyone reading this wondering if all the positive reviews are real, they most definitely are. I was skeptical too, especially given how many lackluster plumbers I've had and the horror stories.

Yesterday, our kitchen sink clogged. On New Years Day of all! Kevin was very fast to answer the phone this morning and told me he could squeeze me in. Terrific. I asked for a call about 30 minutes before so I could get home and be there to unlock. Right on schedule, Kyle called me and let me know he'd be arriving and what time. Excellent communication. When he got to my place, he quickly got his equipment and went to work. Within a short time the clog was cleared, but he wanted to make absolutely sure it was unclogged, so he tested it a few times, ended up running the equipment once more and did some more testing. Very thorough and not rushed, which I appreciated. This marks the second 5-star experience I've had with Kevin and his team. My compliments on a terrific business- trustworthy honest plumbers. I like Greentech; I can communicate with them honestly and they are super responsive. Gino, the Greentech licensed plumber, is efficient, genuine and effective at what he does. He comes early and gets the job done. He works really hard and is very nice. I also spoke with the owners/managers Bill, Kevin and Fred all who helped me sort through my plumbing nightmare. Through many conversations, we troubleshooted (with Gino) issues with the sewer mainline, we fixed a drainage issue and created a clean out for future issues. We moved into our home a month ago and as soon as we closed we unfortunately discovered a gas leak that just wouldn't go away. We hired a different plumber that was referred to us. He charged us an arm & a leg and ultimately didn't fix the problem. I found Green Tech on Yelp and asked them to come in as soon as they could.

Mark Smith arrived today right on time for his appointment, and within 20 minutes was able to find the leak and fix the issue that we had been experiencing for AN ENTIRE MONTH. He was extremely personable and knowledgeable, and was very proud to work for the company. Mark stayed until Nicor came to inspect to make sure the job was done and the entire process took 45 minutes. The cherry on top was that their rate was extremely fair - they charge hourly instead of nickel and diming for labor and parts, so we paid a fraction of what we had been charged previously by the other plumber.

We wish we would have called Green Tech much sooner but we're so glad we found a reliable plumbing service for future needs. This gas leak had been an absolute nightmare and we're so happy and relieved that it is finally resolved.

Due to a massive tree in our front yard near our sewer line connection with the house, I need to have the line rodded out annually. I did notice that our cleanout access port showed standing and elevated water level, so it was time to rod it out. After a disastrous experience with another company last time, I was pleased to work with Josh at Green Tech. He came out to the appointment precisely on time, despite the rainy weather and was very professional. The rodding was performed without making a mess on the front yard (unlike the other plumbing company I used before!). It was confirmed that tree root was the issue, and it was taken care of with the rodding. Afterwards, Josh provided me with some design ideas and a sanity check of an improvement to our sump pump drainage routing (external to house), which was very much appreciated. I am looking forward to using Green Tech for annual scheduled maintenance of our sewer line.

Green Tech Plumbing offered superb service from start to finish. I reached out through Yelp after reading other great reviews and got a quick response. Kevin provided me some appointment options and repair or replacement. We elected to replace our hot water heater and get a slightly larger tank. Ryan, who did the work at our house, came first thing Saturday morning and was professional and efficient. He was thoughtful about letting me know he was going to have the outside door propped open while moving the tank in the event we have pets. He was done replacing the tank even faster than anticipated, allowing us to focus on other tasks for most of the day. Ryan made sure all my questions were answered and offered guidance about setting the heating level.

Kevin and Ryan made the whole experience easy. We had a new water heater within two days and it's working great. We also found the cost of the new tank and installation quite reasonable.

I had an awesome experience with Green Tech Plumbing. Scheduling quote and repair was very responsive (even over the July 4th holiday weekend). They were very flexible with communicating via phone, text and email to meet my preference.
Tim was great to work with in my home over the course of the repair. With the added strain of Covid-19 constraints, he took every precaution to make us feel safe. As for the significant pipe leak repair, it definitely required expert experience and more than a little ingenuity in order to deal with a very tight space. Tim handled it with ease, finishing early and significantly under budget. He even took the extra time to answer questions and give advice on smaller plumbing issues outside the scope of the job. I contacted Green Tech for a kitchen faucet installation. Kevin responded promptly, gave a very reasonable quote, was easy to communicate with, had a great sense of humor, and dispatched someone out to my house right away. Sean showed up right on time, was very polite, got right to work, finished replacing faucet, filtered water and two other small fixtures in a little over an hour. We were so happy with the beautiful outcome, workmanship, professionalism, and reliability.

Funny story, this was our second go around with Kevin's crew. My husband had been procrastinating on replacing the plumbing fixtures for quite a while and was insistent on doing the work because he is handy and wanted to save the money. Eventually, keeping marital harmony in tact won and I contacted Green Tech. When my husband came home and saw the beautiful work that had been accomplished in a third of the time it would have taken him, he was so pleased.

As we talked about who I had hired, my husband remembered that when we had had an issue with our plumbing about 2 years ago, we had Green Tech out to rot out our lines. I had not even realized we'd used them before. For that previous job, we experienced the same reasonable price, quality workmanship, professionalism, and reliability. Not only that, but they gave us great advice about the toilet paper we were using and we have not had an issue with our plumbing since! This was big news because it was becoming a semi annual headache having to rot out our plumbing twice a year. This is such a wonderful example of above the bar integrity.

Chaun from Green Tech was great to work with. He came over the first time expecting to do a minor service, but as we both slowly figured out, I needed more extensive work than expected. He was very professional and understanding. He came over the next time with the correct equipment and went above and beyond in fixing unrelated issues that would have caused major problems down the line.
And still, after that we had a leak due to a product deficiency (not an issue he was involved with) and came back just to basically tighten up everything and stopped the leak.
Cannot recommend Green Tech more highly.

I had a totally clogged kitchen sink. We tried everything to fix it ourselves and nothing worked. Due to previous experiences I was reluctant to call a professional but we had no choice.
I researched for a long time and based on a large number of great reviews I decided to contact Green Tech. I am so glad I did. Kevin responded quickly, asked a few questions and we scheduled an appointment. Dan arrived to perform the work. He was very courteous and professional. He was informative and did an excellent job.

Amazing service! I contacted Kevin on a Saturday about a sump pump that wasn't discharging all the way to the end of the pipe. Kevin assessed that the outdoor pipe was frozen over the phone and walked me through a solution. I fixed the problem by creating a bypass, but created a new one by making a shoddy connection. Kevin said he would swing by to take a look at it - when he came he ended up running a new PVC pipe away from the house until the spring when his team can come out to do the needed repairs. He is a lifesaver and likely saved me from a flooded basement!

What a great business! I hope I don't have too many more plumbing needs, but if needed I will choose Green Tech for sure!

I had a couple problems with my kitchen sink and a leaking garbage disposal. I asked for a quote via yelp and 5 other local companies were sent a quote request by yelp. Green Tech responded right away with a price. All the other companies prices were either extremely unreasonable or the other companies would show up very late or cancel on me for their free estimates that they wouldn't do over the yelp app.

I called Green Tech to set up an appointment and they were able to set up an appointment with me that day and within a couple hours.

My plumbers name was Kyle. He was extremely professional, knew exactly what he needed to do and seemed to be very knowledgeable. He was quick, clean, and extremely quiet. Kyle was so quiet in fact my 2 year old son napped the entire time he was here cutting and replacing pipes with his saws and wrenches. Kyle cleaned up after himself and gave me a full explanation of what he did, and gave me a couple pointers about my old garbage disposal.

Not only was Green Tech's estimate the best price out of the 6 companies contacted the final bill actually came under their estimated price. 5 star review. I've put a lot of work and money into my
Fixer upper house and this one small fix has been one of my best experiences. No joke. Thank you Green Tech and thank you Kyle.

Here's why Green Tech will be my go to plumber for the foreseeable future: honesty and integrity.

I had an issue with my sump pump and I emailed 4 different plumbers for a quote. 3 of them offered to come out and fix it for $X...Kevin wrote me back immediately and said call me on my cell, you can fix that yourself no problem...and he was right. He walked me through what was a simple 5 minute repair when he could easily have charged me to come do it himself.

Needless to say when I needed another (albeit more complicated) fix about a week later he was the first person I called.

The plumber (Tim) from Green Tech was at my house this morning. He came early, analyzed the situation, fixed our problem (leaking tub faucet) with a creative solution and was on his way. Quickly, efficiently.
He was pleasant, respectful and professional.
In these uncertain times, a plumbing problem was not planned for and I was nervous about having anyone in my house. He wore gloves, mask and booties and we kept our distance...actually, I waited outside as he worked. Fantastic service!

I'm sure all the positive reviews are a result of positive experiences, but mine, while starting out positive, ended up being anything but.

The repairman was professional and nice when he showed up. I had a worn check valve in the pipe leading to our ejector pump, which he quickly diagnosed. He turned off the pump and cut the PVC pipe leading to it to replace the valve. A few minutes later, the toilet in the bathroom right next door began to overflow. It was not in use and no other water fixtures in the house were running. By the time I got to the toilet, there was about an inch of standing water in my bathroom.

When I asked the repairman if he did anything to cause this, he said no. Interestingly enough, however, when he turned the ejector pump back on, the water quickly drained from the toilet.

I asked if he felt it was appropriate for me to get a discount on the service based on this issue, and he said no, because he did not cause it. When I brought to his attention that the toilet started to overflow immediately after he turned off the pump, and then drained immediately after he turned it back on, he shrugged and said he has been doing this for many years and has never seen it happen.

When he called his boss, they offered me a $50 discount while still being adamant that they did nothing to cause this. That was very nice of them, but I think anyone hiring them should be aware that I had this experience.

For the record, the repairman did replace the valve, which is the reason he came out, and from what I can tell, that was professionally done. Unfortunately, the leak and their response to it substantially marred the experience for me.

To the Greentech team reading this, for future reference, when you find yourself in a similar situation, you are better off taking responsibility, apologizing, and offering a discount, even if for no other reason than earning and keeping good will. It will go a much longer way than vehemently denying the obvious and will help you keep the trust you have worked so hard to build.

Apparently when one of your children flushes down the toilet you need a plumber. All 3 children claim innocence, but I'm pretty sure the 7 month old who can't move (yet) is the only truly innocent one.

Before I realized a stick had been flushed down my toilet we were having some issues with it not flushing so I turned to Yelp to find a plumber. My husband mentioned while we were having a plumber come check out the toilet we should also have our sump pump backup looked at because he was skeptical it was actually working.

I sent Green Tech Plumbing a message thru Yelp and heard back (literally) within 30 seconds from Kevin. I asked for someone to come to my house on Thursday morning and Kevin said he would have someone there at 8am. It was almost too good to be true, but a very friendly Tim from Green Tech Plumbing Co was at my doorstep a few minutes past 8 on Thursday.

Tim checked our sump pump and confirmed it was working. I appreciated that he didn't even try to sell me a new one. From there he went to work on the toilet and pulled out the stick a few minutes later. He charged us for the hour labor (I believe $180ish). A very expensive stick, but happy a found a reliable and trustworthy plumber for future issues. In the meantime, no sticks allowed in this house!

Trust them. Honest people. Needed plumber in north shore = so I have allot of money?? No. Checked yelp and they had all 5 star reviews. Called and were professional. Told them needed repairs from an inspection report. Plumber Mark Smith showed up as scheduled and knew what he was looking for with the details given by the dispatcher. Mark fixed the issues cleanly and with explanation. So the word I would use for this group is - Honest! No games to up the bill, no recommendations for more money on the service call. No money up front with deposit. They did what was asked, cleaned up and wore booties on the new floors. Plumbers are expensive and necessary. But necessary does not mean gouging on prices. This group is honest, they listened to the problem on the phone, were respectful and came prepared. Going to copy this review and send out to my homeowners group in north shore. The 5 star reviews are well deserved and the pricing is fair. Very Well done!

Guess what I didn't check Yelp on this company. I just saw some reviews online elsewhere and decided to try them. Glad I did try them- I should have checked Yelp and I would have found them quicker and used a coupon too! Kevin and Mike were total professionals and didn't rush anything - the double water heaters were expertly installed and the whole house water filter also done beautifully. Oh well I didn't see the Yelp coupon- my fault! But I am very satisfied and I know quality work when I see it.
I highly recommend this group.
I know his firm will expand as long as he continues the beyond superb customer care and high quality work.

There was still leaking when he left but he came back and fixed for no extra cost, was caused by corrosion if the faucet, i waited too long to fix

Sometimes you just know, and I mean right out of the gate, if you're in for a crappy experience or a good experience (potentially). It works both ways, and when it's a potentially shitty experience they call them red flags but I'm not exactly sure what you would call the flags of goodness, but the signs were there from the moment Kevin answered the phone.

My basement flooded and it couldn't have been worse timing. Not that there is ever a good time for a flooded basement, but this was particularly inconvenient. My daughter was home for my niece's wedding, which we would all be attending in just a few days, I was headed out of town the day after the wedding on a business trip, and now we couldn't use any water (including toilets) without exacerbating the horrible flooded basement situation.

I ventured out into the Yelp-mosphere to find the right company for the job. Boom... GreenTech Plumbing, with 130ish stellar 5-star reviews. As I mentioned, Kevin the owner answers my call and starts asking me a couple questions. I got a good feeling from this guy immediately. He sounded sincere, honest and professional. Now, I can't even tell you what honest and sincere sound like over the phone, but somehow I felt reassured just from this one brief telephone interaction that I wasn't going to get screwed. Kevin finishes up by saying he'll send one of his guys out to my house as soon as possible.

In less than 60 minutes, Erik shows up to take a look at the situation. As I expected, there was nothing ideal about being able to tackle and repair this issue. I live in a very old Chicago style bungalow and homes like these weren't made with future repairs in mind. Nevertheless, Erik proved to be a much more than formidable and capable adversary for this old house and fixing this issue. I was truly impressed with how professional, knowledgeable, pleasant, efficient, and clean Erik was. He walked into a mess but actually left the place cleaner than when he walked in, going way above my expectations in the process. He represented the company flawlessly!

There's this good feeling you get when you are looking in the rear view mirror at an annoying problem as it gets smaller and smaller and eventually fades from sight. I'm feeling that way with this whole experience. I've been wanting to replace all of my toilets for some time now, and I've also spent too much time worrying that my pipes could freeze and break one of these winters. I obviously don't want that to ever happen, but I finally feel like I know exactly who to call now if the situation should arise. Thanks GreenTech Plumbing!

Mike Smith from Green Tech Plumbing came in after I fired another local plumber who did a job and charged me $600, didn't fix the original reason I called. They told me I needed another $700 worth of work to completely fix it. Instead I cancelled their services and called Green Tech Plumbing. Mike reviewed the situation tightened the garbage disposal under my sink and charged me $80. They are honest and competent and the only plumbers I will call in the future.

They literally saved Christmas this year. I had another sewer company out for a simple sewer rodding and they gave me bad news that the line had collapsed and it would be $6500 to fix. Gulp. I kept getting a clogged kitchen drain that another local plumber would rod out. It was happening so frequently I was almost paranoid using the sink. I was using the drain filters, etc. well when it happened again only a few months later I took matters in my own hands and started using drain openers etc, only to notice a pipe leaking in my basement! I decided to go with Yelp recommendations and called Green Tech. They explained that my pipe had not been installed at an angle ( ok I'm using the wrong terminology) and it was not draining, causing an accumulation of gunk. That, as well as the old copper pipe material, were a recipe for disaster. They came out at a time convenient to both of us and replaced the pipe. They were neat, clean, and finished before the anticipated time. I would not hesitate to call them if I had a new problem in the future!

Outstanding experience. I'm not a friend or related to the owner or anything but am so glad I found them. Fast, very responsive, professional and reasonably priced. We had a main drain rotted out and a laundry sink unclogged. Kevin was terrific to deal with and he has earned a life-long customer.

We had a clogged main stack, which a few other plumbers couldn't fix. I called Kevin on a Tuesday night, and he kindly spent 30 minutes on the phone trying to diagnose a problem. The next day, Nick came out and spent 2 hours free troubleshooting the problem. He came back today and fixed the issue. These guys are knowledgeable, good with communicating what's wrong, and masters of their craft. I can't say enough good things about them, and we'll be looking no further when we have plumbing issues.

Kevin and his men are professional, polite and Freaky Fast!
Just moved to Park Ridge from California with my wife and kids. We decided to stay in the basement while we did upstairs renovations. I called Kevin(the boss) on a the Sunday it decided to rain in my basement with water coming out of the main floor toilet. Yup, serious inconvenience.
Kevin answered and was on site fast. Found the main line had sheared apart. Kevin and his men had permits and equipment the next morning. Repairs were complete the next day, Freaky Fast! Kevin also took time for questions and some other sump repairs to be sure we are move in ready.

I wish there were more stars to give.... Tim & Kevin were very responsive, knowledgeable, kind and extremely reasonable. Tim arrived on time was very clean and kind to my family. He continued to communicate with each step as he fixed each issue (hot water heater, sink & tub faucets) on an older home. He was able to get all three of these fixed in 1.5 hours all while keeping is updated.

Fixing my friends shower diverter valve and could not get the but off using shower socket tools. This was at 10pm on Saturday. Who answer he phone so late to tell me what I need and what to do in the mean time until they can come and fix it.
Looked up plumber and found this to have the most reviews thanks to Yelp. They must doing something right.

Called them up and texted them a picture. Within minutes they got back to me told me the price and what kind of system I had.

Straight up and gave me the name of the unit with the price of the part which we only $5 to $10 more than online price. For a business that understands the customer that can go elsewhere, they believe in informing the customer and letting them make the choice.

Overall, it's hard to find an honest plumber that informs the customer and let them make a choice. Will definitely be calling them again. Not just for my property at Chicago/rosemont but other properties that I maintain. Thank you.

Not much to say here. These guys are honest, they know what they're doing, and they're reasonable. Don't hesitate to give them a call with whatever you need.

(1) I had a thermostatic valve go bad. They came out, took out the valve... and then shopped for a valve (on their time), and brought it back the same day to install. They didn't charge me for the second visit.

(2) had a steam shower go bad... they got it fixed. Went above and beyond -- called the manufacturer, made sure I'd be well taken care of, etc.

I no longer fear calling the plumber. 'Nuff said!

When water backup happens in your basement, if your knowledge is limited and your bank account is in shortage of greens - green tech plumbing will ease you down ....
1 out of 5 contractors who supposedly has 4 and above stars of reviews could not give me an estimate over the phone - rather they'll tell you how much $$$ it cost for them to visit and then go from there .... signs of ripping off your hard earned dollar .../
Green tech is so upfront with their price even though they haven't seen the problem yet - this is what I called honesty in service brought by experience .... they ask for the address and they search it in the web and there they figure the assessment based on the distance of your house towards the main drainage ...
Because of this I was being honest to them about my finances and they give me a substantial discount ....
The repair only took one hour ...
The owner who happens to take my call has that mild calm fatherly tone of voice. This eases out my anxiety. Everyone else has this unprofessionally demanding full of threat like approach ....
I will definitely have this company in my list of favourite number in my phone...

Very professional, thorough, and fair prices.

They fixed our water valve as it wasn't turning off our water. They did the work in a few hours and even helped diagnose/fix a leak in our shower. Another company wanted to tear open our walls to fix this leak when it just needed some silicone between the tub and wall.

I would definitely have them do all future pluming work again!

I had used Green Tech Plumbing twice in the last two years, both times to install a new ball valve boiler drain for my two exterior water supplies. Both times they did a great job, but I kind of expected it as they are experienced plumbers. I used them today for a third time and realized they brought something else to the table.

I submitted a request for a quote over the internet and received a prompt reply with a competitive price to rod my kids bathroom tub and install a new tub spout. When I called the office to schedule the appointment, I spoke with Kevin and he asked when I wanted the work done. I asked if they could do it the next day and he replied, if the afternoon works. I said can we get something in the early afternoon, as my wife just told me to schedule it in the morning (she was the one that would be home the next day). He immediately said we'll if the wife needs it done in the morning, lets see what we can do. What Kevin didn't know is the tub had been clogged since my kids left for college in August and that my wife had been asking me to schedule this work for the last couple weeks. Next thing I know he's asking me if 9:30am works? Perfect, the kids are coming home for Thanksgiving break that afternoon, and it looks like I'm going to pull this off after all.

Some quick background on prior plumbing experiences. I've always had issues with Park Ridge tree roots blocking my sewer line and I've always used the coupon in the Valpak to get the cheap rodding solution. Well, I decided to use those guy the last time the tub was clogged. The other company left the bathroom a mess and made more of a mess on the way out of the house. It was obvious that had been a mistake on my part.

So back to Green Tech Plumbing........The next day I got a text from my wife at 10:32am that said OMG best plumber ever. Kyle was the guy that did the work and not only did he do a good job and fix the problem, but he didn't make a mess, cleaned up the bathroom and didn't leave a trail back out to the truck. This company does a little bit more and it makes a big difference. I'll continue to use them for my future jobs.

Excellent Work! I cannot tell you how many other plumbers we called to fix our ejector pump. Those other guys came in and kicked the tires and supposedly fixed it. As soon as they leave the ejector pump would stop working. I have spent over $1,000 in putting a band aid to the broken ejector pump. Finally today, I had enough and finally called Green Tech Plumbing. I spoke with Kevin and told him the history. He thought it would be an easy fix based on the symptoms but when he sent the plumber over he did a thorough analysis and tested everything. He was not afraid to get his hands dirty and go to the real issue. A towel! A freaking TOWEL! Anyway, I only wish I called these guys first instead of having wasted so much money with the other guys and time. If you do not call Green Tech for your plumbing needs, you are doing it wrong.

The service this company provided was above and beyond any I have had from previous company's. Talking to owner ,Kevin late at night on a Tuesday,he and his his men were here at appointed time the next day to fit my schedule,and were so kind and courteous. They made sure to show me the problems in my sewer,had to have main line cleaned, video is amazing.. the hydro jet machine they had was incredible to watch in action, you see the roots on tv and 2minutes later they are gone unbelievable! There's a reason why this is a five star business. I called on Green Tech to help with a gas leak at my property. Green Tech's communication was awesome but I think they possess one thing that most companies don't. The techs that show up to your site are super nice and really knowledgeable. Over the course of 10 years we have experienced numerous attitudes, particularly because of my lack of knowledge in this arena (which is why I called them in the first place). The fix was so obvious and something I should have just finished with the turn of a wrench but I couldn't figure it out. I was still talked to with some dignity. Our water heater failed this morning, and after reading some reviews of local plumbing companies on Yelp, I came across Green Tech Plumbing. The thing that made me call them over the other companies, was a reply to a 1-star review from the owner and how he handled it.

Plumber Tim was dispatched and arrived within the hour, as promised. Tim looked through the manual for the trouble codes, determined which part was needed, called the supply house, went to pick up the part, returned and replaced the part, and just like that, hot water!

Thank you for answering my call and getting someone over here so quickly! Worth every penny!

Couldn't rate these folks higher. Had them come out to re-install a dryer gas shut off valve that was behind a wall, and he was very skilled at minimally cutting our wall only where necessary to re-install the valve in a more accessible space.
He also went above and behind and helped install the dryer vent, which was in an inconvenient space and wouldn't otherwise been able to be completed without his help.
Highly recommended. Go with these professionals.

Our plumber, Tim, arrived right on time. I walked him through my house and pointed out the areas of concern. He sealed up a leak from the bathtub, made sure that the ejector pump was working, and then properly sealed the ejector pump cover. He also gave me a good idea of how he could run a water supply to our fridge, which is in a hard-to-reach location.

Tim was friendly and professional and represents Green Tech Plumbing very well. I plan on having Tim come out again soon to install a garbage disposal and water filter system.

I had a water leak in my ceiling. They called me ahead of reaching my place, very punctual. Tim came, did the measurement and found source of leaking FREE of CHARGE (all other companies charge min of $85 for estimation only), provided the resolution. He is very knowledgeable, trustable, professional and nice personality.
He took his time to answer some of other questions related to plumbing.
I am really amazed that there are still honest, reliable, professional people like them!

Had a small clog in my toilet. Tried using the plunger but didn't work. Called different plumbing services, several charge for services to come out and I had to schedule time. However, I saw good ratings on Green Tech plumbing and asked them when they can come out. They made a quick apmt right away. On website, they even had discount for work they do, plus they don't charge any service fee for coming out. In about 30 minutes, a plumber named Tim came out and fixed our clogging toilet within less than an hour. Tim was nice and friendly and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this company for any plumbing services and will use them again if we have any plumbing issues with our house.

Whenever my family and friends ask for a business reference, I go to yelp & look up reviews. Few weeks ago, my sister's Sump pump went out & had a random plumber give her an estimate. And let me tell you, he was ripping her off. So I told my sister, Let me check Yelp. I found Green Tech Plumbing Company & saw they had great reviews. I gave her their information & she set up an appointment the next day.

Believe it or not, the Green Tech plumber was honest, gave her a quote 1/5 of the last 'quote' and he replaced their sump pump within two hours.

My sister really appreciated that referral from me. So even if I did not use Green Tech directly, I wanted to share the positive experience my sister had.

Woke up to find pipes had frozen overnight. Called Green Tech and Tim arrived in about 20 minutes. Used his equipment to fix the problem in a very short time. He also gave us some tips as to avoiding problems in the future. This is my second experience with Green Tech and have been pleased with both. They will be my 'go to' plumber from here on.

I've never met a store that has told me to not go with them.

We had some pooled water in our crawlspace, I tried to fix it...you know the rest. After breaking a lot of things, I called Green Tech. It was on a Saturday. They were on the phone and troubleshot what was going on. He basically said: 'You don't need us. Go to your hardware store and do the following...' After I told him that I broke a lot of things, they sent someone out on a Saturday and in 15 minutes fixed our problem. Saved us a lot of headache and possible house damage. Honest, upfront, intelligent group that will take care of any issues you need. If I have any future issues, I'll be going with them for sure.

We used Green Tech to rod/camera our sewer line, assess a few perceived plumbing issue, and run a gas line for us. Kevin quoted us the most fair price of all places that we called. Tim came out and did a fantastic job. He did a thorough rodding of our sewer line and showed me the camera as he was doing it and after. He did a great job on the gas line and was very honest about the other items that we thought were plumbing issues (but really were okay). They will definitely be our first call whenever we need a plumber.

I called Green Tech Plumbing this past Labor Day Weekend because my parents in Arlington Heights were having leaking problems in their basement. The tech was extremely friendly and came out to the do the work within 2 hours! I couldn't believe how fast it was completed given it was a holiday weekend. Their pricing was extremely reasonable and the tech was knowledgeable and efficient.
It's always hard to find plumbers that are good and that you can trust but I would definitely put Green Tech at the top of list.

I am very pleased with the services we got from Green Tech Plumbing. Our utility sink was overflowing due to a blockage which wasn't allowing us to do some backed up laundry. It wasn't an emergency appointment but I am so thankful they had same day availability! They were very reasonably priced (best from the quotes we received) and straight forward with the information to fix the sink (which ended up being more then just a clog). We have had some other previous minor plumbing needed for minor clogs and we have definitely been taken for a ride. We will be a repeat customer if/when needed. Thank you Nick for the great work!

I had a water tank split and leak on a two tank system. The location of the tanks was very tight. Green Tech had a tech at my home within two hours to assess the situation. I had two new 50 gallon tanks installed by 2pm the next day. And they fixed the half-assed job the previous tenants had done in installing the tanks. Great job! Fair pricing!

Great service. To begin with they were the first to answer a call before 8:00 AM, and were here within an hour. Clear the pipes out back and also inside. Right off the bat...this plumber is the real deal. We haven't officially hired him YET, but even if we dont hire him, he deserves a praise for AMAZING customer service. I've met with and talked to a few plumbers this past month, and Kevin with Green Tech Plumbing is by far the best in terms of his knowledge, communicating with the customer and honest about what needs to be done. I had a good feeling about him over the phone, after we met with him in person the next day, we knew he was the one. Our situation is a HOT MESS. We hired someone to work on our new home, his work was horrible, not up to code, blah blah blah. Now we need to hire a new plumber to redo what the A-hole started, and after meeting with a handful of plumbers, Kevin with Green Tech Plumbing made us feel the most comfortable and renewed our faith in plumbers, well kind of. We're still a little scarred.

We will know more tomorrow and I'm hoping we will go with Green Tech. I will update after the repair is done. Stand by......

After moving into our current home (and using the existing electric stove for awhile), we decided that I hate electric stoves. Also, the new fridge never had a water line installed for the ice maker. I asked around to some friends and Green Tech's name came up. I requested a quote for both jobs, and Kevin called me shortly thereafter.

Great job getting our island sink unclogged! He even noticed that our faucet was leaking and because he knew the brand he suggested I email the manufacturer to see if it was under warranty. The faucet was put in by the previous home owner and cost about $900. I emailed the manufacturer and within 2 days a new faucet head shows up at my house. I would have never known to do this if it wasn't for Green Tech. I will definitely be calling them again if I have a plumbing issue.

There is a reason why they get 5 stars! They are amazing. Kevin called me and when I explained my problem he said he would like to give me the option to fix it myself with a little guidance over the phone form him. He stepped me through removing the kitchen sink spray head and verifying that was the problem. He was kind and clear. He instructed me to soak the head in white vinegar and if that didn't fix the issue he told me where to go to get a replacement head. It didn't fix it...but I was able to buy a replacement head and tada! It works. He saved me from having someone come out...at least $175. Beyond grateful. If that wasn't enough...he called back that evening to see if it worked. Amazing! I highly recommend them!

Awesome. Just moved to the area and was in need to some plumbing fixes. They fixed the kitchen leak we were having as well as some garbage disposal issues. They fixed a bunch of other leaks as well. These guys are fantastic!!! You can believe the first line on their website regarding emergency service. It was the middle of the night when we had a downpour of water in our bathroom, when we tried calling a half a dozen 24 hr service plumbers. This plumbing service was not only able to help us, but went far beyond our expectations. We spoke with Fred, who spent a lot of time with us on the phone. He ensured that the main water line was shut off properly along with the hot water heater reservoir, and had us open other faucets to clear the pressure. He was competent and caring. He had us send pictures of the pipes to help us understand what we were doing. This guy was not only nice and kind but really knew plumbing. Eric, the plumber who called early the next morning on a weekend to come out for service was wonderful. He was so down to earth and explained everything to us. He did quality work in a very timely manner. He was very competent and knowledgable. We have been in our house for years and have used various plumbers. This one is by far the best with service and quality that we have ever had. We have found our new service of plumbers that are reliable and honest that we will use from now on. We highly recommend them!!

We had a water shutoff valve that was leaking. Unable to get it to stop, I figured we needed to have it replaced. Eric came by to do the job. He tightened the nut to the housing and the leak stopped. We just bought a 1940's-era home in Niles, and have had Green Tech out twice. The first time was a medium kitchen job--replacing metal pipes with PVC, installing a garbage disposal, and running lines & connecting a dishwasher. The second time, we had a major clog due to decades of grease being sent down the kitchen pipes. Both times, Green Tech were amazing. They came on time, they were friendly and professional, and they did top quality work. I'll be using them whenever I need future plumbing jobs done.

1. Courteous and friendly every step of the way--on the phone, in person, when responding to my quote request via Yelp
2. On-time. I was given an exact time when they'd show (no three-hour windows), and they were prompt
3. Great work. They finished the job (my shower was leaking into my downstairs neighbor's ceiling) in only 40 minutes and took care to cut minimal holes. They opted to go in through the ceiling, which required only white paint, versus my bedroom wall, which would've required a roomful of new blue paint.

I had a couple of super clogged sinks and tried drano, self rodding, nothing worked. I first called another plumber who couldn't fix the clogged drains without tearing apart a huge hole in my wall. So I decided to get a second opinion and thank goodness I did. I spoke to Kevin who was super quick to responding and get a plumber out. The plumber was courteous, polite , and worked fast. He did have to open up the wall but made a small opening that isn't noticeable compared to the other plumber . Regardless, my two sinks were unclogged within little over an hour. Green tech won me over as a customer for life because in the plumbing business you will get the sales pitch of you need this or need to upgrade to that to solve your problem. But not green tech. They were honest , and didn't try to sell me anything. This is a company you can trust and rely upon.

Completely satisfied with Green Tech Plumbing.

I needed some advice or inspection on my sump battery. Instead of a service call, the owner of the company texted me a few things to check, and I was able to resolve it. Super helpful! Then, my mother needed plumbing assistance with a basement that occasionally gets water from the sewer line to the street backflowing during very heavy rains. Green Tech came out, suggested a very cost effective way of dealing with it (retrofitting the basement drains with check-drains that seal shut when a backflow condition exists), and a fair estimate for the work. We also agreed that doing video inspection of the clay sewer line would be a good idea, and set an appointment for the next week. The plumber that came out was friendly and professional, and declared the sewer line 100% open upon inspection. Then he got to work on the check-drains, got it done faster than estimated, and so the bill was about 40% less than the estimate. So each job is unique and this one was probably a bit easier than expected, but just charging what it took said a lot.

In summary: Excellent communication, flexible on the time to come out for an estimate (6:30am, no other plumbers I called would be that accommodating), fair pricing (I don't think $150 an hour is out of line, given that that covers estimating time, expert labor, truck and tools, overhead and profit), and quick and tidy workmanship. My mom's water problem got solved for a bill of approx. $450- not bad, considering!

I'm going to just call Green Tech when I need a good local plumber. These guys are tops.

I recently had a few plumbing issues that that required immediate help. After calling a few plumbers, Green Tech stood out from the rest. Not only were they the most reasonably priced, but they seemed to be very attentive to my issues. In fact, I had to fix my kitchen faucet and bathroom faucet and in both cases, Eric from Green Tech recommended that I call the manufacturer first to see if they could cover the cost of a new faucet. I appreciated his advice and patience as it turned out in both cases he was right. He gladly waited and came back at no extra charge. Eric also gave me some good advice on other drainage issues I am having. Eric was very professional and pleasant. Very happy with their work. These guys were great. Kevin responded to my inquiry for turning on the water at the buffalo box right away. He was the ONLY one of many plumbers to suggest that the City of Chicago may turn on the water for free. Mind you this would put him out the opportunity to make easy money for a quick task, but he told me anyway which I think was amazing. Unfortunately this wasn't the case as apparently the house we have an offer on is a really weird type of foreclosure. Any who, Kevin made it happen the next day AND he gave me a reduced rate from his initial quote because it was such a simple task. The guy he sent out (Tim I believe? I am really bad at remembering peoples names it's a definite fault on my end) was super friendly, helpful, and patient. He had no problem waiting for our realtor to show up so he could make sure the water worked inside.
TLDR: I am definitely going to call these guys again for all my future plumbing needs. You guys rock!

Green Tech Plumbing called me back within 2 minutes of my voicemail message.

People's Gas was making our apartment building repair challenging, however, Kevin came out to see what was up and provided tips on what do tell People's so that they turn the gas back on.

Kevin never asked me for a service fee and just said call me after People's Gas turns gas on and I will get back over here quickly.

He did this to help us avoid the extra cost of having to pressure test the lines.

I really did not expect that that Tim will be able to do my toilet. First he arrived on time, that's very important to me punctuality! My 97 year old mother-in-law was given an outrageous estimate to repair or replace her 65 year old bathroom sink from another plumbing company. I contacted Kevin at Green Tech and found out that he is familiar with her classic Crane sink. On their first visit, it was determined that the repair parts for that sink would be very expensive, and a replacement sink was suggested. Kevin went above and beyond to find a sink/faucet combination that complimented her 1950's motive. He worked with my mother-in-law to keep the price within her budget. The installer did a very professional job. My mother-in-law is very pleased with how closely the sink matches the other bathroom fixtures.

It is very refreshing to find a plumbing company that does not take advantage of the elderly.

Where do I Start? I had a nightmare happen last winter and Green Tech saved me from the brink of who knows what. I own a 2 flat with a store front uptown Park Ridge. Well in the middle of the coldest winter in history our sewage drain decided to collapse. I called Kevin after a friend told me about him. He explained that the problem was old clay pipes and they were 10 feet down under frozen permafrost. Well he had the knowhow and equipment to dig threw the frozen ally down to the broken pipe and replace everything with new up to date PVC all with pulling the right permits from Park Ridge. I was happy he was able to take care of it so fast. The price was 1/2 of what I was expecting to pay. Kevin and his crew are very knowledgeable and a asset to the community.
In a funny twist I had to call him 2 weeks later for an emergency rod job on my home main drain. I'm glad I have his number in my contacts and will be using him for years to come.

We just bought a house and on our first night living there discovered that we had a massive leak from the upstairs bathroom into our basement bedroom closet. Not good news. We called a couple of plumbing companies in the area and nobody was able to come look at it in a timely manner. Then we called Green Tech. They were able to schedule an early morning visit that following day. Dan showed up on time even with the snow that was falling. He immediately located the problem and was able to fix the leak right then. He also answered all of my fiancé's questions regarding a weird plumbing set up in the basement, Gotta love old houses. All in all the service was courteous, efficient and professional. We are definitely keeping them in mind for our future plumbing needs.

After calling another local plumber and getting an answering service that scheduled me for an emergency appointment about 5 hours after I needed something done, I called Green Tech and spoke to Kevin about my basement floor drain backup that was seemingly about to engulf our entire basement in water. Kevin talked us through the likely problem and Nick from Green Tech was at our house within 40 minutes. Nick rectified the problem immediately and put our minds at ease.

While my problem was not something I could do on my own, many of the other reviews here suggest that Kevin will simply talk a homeowner through a simple plumbing process instead of charging to dispatch a plumber over to fix a relatively easy problem. As a consumer, this speaks volumes to me. I highly recommend Green Tech.

We had a clogged bathroom sink that needed fixing, and we needed it fixed as quickly as possible. We tried unclogging it ourselves with a plunger, but that didn't work, so we decided to call in a plumber.
Looking over the reviews on Yelp, there were a few services we were considering. Ultimately, we decided to go with Green Tech Plumbing due to how quickly they respond to inquiries about estimates, their reasonable prices, and how quickly they were able to send a plumber out to our home.
Once one of the plumbers, Tim, arrived, he was able to unclog our sink and get all its parts working correctly again quickly and efficiently.
In all, we were very impressed with the service and professionalism of this company!

I have used Green Tech on 4 occasions in the last few years. Kevin is attentive, quick to respond and tells it like it is. They have done slow drain servicing for me, they have come to my immediate rescue on a main line plug that created a backup, and most recently they shot a camera down my main line and determined that I had a 60 year old connection from my home to the city main that was broken and causing washout causing my patio to sink. Kevin was there within an hour and then quickly dispatched Nick and Mike to come and dig up and repair the problem within 4 hours. Unreal! I, like many homeowners, dread the need to call in professionals for HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing because we are predisposed to the notion of getting ripped off.
NOT with these guys. These guys are TOP SHELF and I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality, competent , and competitive work. Bar None.

Kevin responded to my Saturday evening phone call in less than 5 minutes and proceeded to discuss the problem and give advice despite the fact that it turns out we aren't even his service area (yelp's fault, I think). He could easily have told us to call someone else, but instead he listened and advised and gave us some things we could try to get us through the rest of the weekend so we wouldn't need to spend as much on a call on Monday. Our thermostatic shower system stopped getting hot a couple months after moving into our new place. We contacted multiple plumbers and explained our situation. Of the 3, 2 were highly rated and one was working on my best friend's bathroom. Of the 3, one showed up and said he probably had to go through the dry wall to fix it. He also recommended we go to a store for a valve. The store did not have the Artos brand so we were back to square one. The other two plumbers were no shows! Is it that complicated?! Fast forward 8 months and we decide to try yelp again for a new plumber. We find this place, explain our situation and they respond with the possible brand behind Artos. We schedule a time. Nick showed up on time and pulled out a piece the other plumber couldn't get out (fairly quickly). He told me he was going to a faucet store that had everything and was going to call me if they had the piece he was looking for. I green lighted the purchase. He said there was another piece he needed to get out and if he couldn't get it out, he was out! We were nervous but he got it out pretty easily and our shower was up and running within 2 hours of his arrival! We are thrilled our shower is back to normal and that we didn't have to tear through the wall. I highly recommend them!

I would highly recommend Green Tech Plumbing for all your plumbing needs. My water heater went out last night. I messaged them at 6 in the morning and had a reply within the hour. Kevin gave me a call and first walked through a few potential causes (and much cheaper fixes) before sending Mike out to replace the unit. Mike was very professional and knocked the job out.

In a business where you hear horror stories about getting taken advantage off, I feel these are guys you can trust and I will definitely be using them for all future issues (which nothing against Green Tech, I hope are few and far between!)

Seriously...Kevin and his crew are top notch. Not only in the work they do, but the follow up customer service and honest quotes. While I use Yelp for reviews, I never leave one...EVER. I feel compelled(I was not paid for this review) to speak out. I had Green Tech come out the first time for an emergency. We had just purchased a home, and of course within 8 weeks we had a flood in our basement. Kevin had someone out promptly and it was repaired quickly. The 2nd time was to rod out the main sewer line. This time I decided to shop my service, and we ended up having Green Tech handle the job. Once again, it was done promptly and Tim was great to work with. The pricing was on point. Kevin did give a higher estimate, but he did say it would most likely be cheaper. He wanted to give an honest estimate in a worst case scenerio. He refused to do a bait and switch and he personally followed up once the job was complete. Quality work and honesty in this line of business is usually difficult to find. The reviews he gets are definately true, and I feel lucky to have found this company.

My husband and I woke up this morning to a hot water pressure drop followed by no hot water. I immediately yelped highly rated companies in the area and saw Green Tech had an outstanding reputation. I sent a quote at close to 6:30 am, even before the office was open. Not more than 5 minutes later, I received an email reply from Kevin, who asked for more details and we quickly emailed back and forth through some initial understanding of the issue. After just having gone through a polar vortex, the Chicago area has been in significant plumbing distress, and despite the very busy schedule already in place, Kevin made sure to call me back with potential availability in appointments. Right on time, he assured me that someone could come by in the afternoon. Erik was extremely professional and friendly. He walked me through my tankless water heater flush and helped me learn more about the unit itself and what caused the issue. He also provided useful suggestions for follow-up maintenance of our flood control system and I will definitely be calling Green Tech for a follow-up visit in the spring. Fantastic company! Come quickly to fix my water heater and I recommend them whenever you are in need of a plumber. My water heater broke and one of my friends recommended Kevin, he was right on time and adjusted every problem. He brought a new heater and fixed it that day. It was Sunday! Almost unbelievable, but it did happen. I have hot water back and I know it will stay with me for at least another 16 years! Highly recommended and thank you for your quick and professional help.

Kevin is a genius. He came out to look at my plumbing problem, was able to do a series of checks and test on my plumbing system and figured out the issue, which other plumbing services were jumping to crazy expensive solutions. We had standing water in our basement, called them up after seeing the other reviews and they were there in 20 minutes on a Sunday morning. We were told by both the person on the phone and the plumber that came out that it would be double time being a Sunday, which was very courteous of them. Problem was fixed in less than an hour and we were good to go. It was a bit pricey but I didn't compare with other companies so I can't say it was fair. Dan was great and we were very pleased with the entire interaction.

We called Green Tech in pinch and they delivered! We had a major issue in the house that led us to discover that our sump pump stopped working and had several inches of standing water in our crawl space. Kevin was able to describe how they would have to remove the standing water in order to get the new sump pump installed which eased my nerves about the whole process.

We have some leaking coming from our shower to the ceiling below so we had Kevin come over for an estimate. He was VERY flexible with our schedules and was able to come over at 6:15am on a weekday. He assessed the situation at no charge and determined that we needed our shower floor recalked and resealed and that there was not an actual pipe leak or major issue. As a result, turns out we do not need a plumber but we need a grout/tile repairman instead which is what he suggested. We ended up not needing any work done from Kevin but would still recommend him and Green Tech Plumbing. He was knowledgeable about our issue and honest and forthcoming about what needed to be done. He did not take advantage of our lack of knowledge, which we greatly appreciated. We would definitely go to him again for any future plumbing issues!!

Where to begin... yesterday I called up Green Tech Plumbing because of a leaking valve in the crawlspace of my home. Now, normally something like this would be super easy to fix (just tighten the nut) BUT I was nervous to do it myself because I have no idea where the main water shut off is. My house is old, I'd had other plumbers not be able to figure it out, so I thought one just wasn't installed. Anyway, I called and spoke with Kevin, explaining my problems and we talked through the problems and what the solutions would be. He gave me a quote over the phone but said that he would have his guy (who wound up being Tim) look for the water shut off before installing a new one. By the by, my home is old so it is completely possible for there to not be a water shut off valve other than what the water company uses (in case you guys think I'm nuts). Oh, and Kevin said that it would take 3-4 hours to do and would cost $500 - $600. I agreed and we set an appointment for the next day (the leak was just dripping so not an emergency).

Cut to today, Kevin calls to make sure I'm home and tells me that Tim is on his way. Now, I really appreciate this because there is nothing worse than having some strange man show up at your house and you not know who he is or what he's doing. Anyway, about 10 minutes later Tim shows up. I show him to the crawlspace an reiterate the problem. Tim was down there for less than 2 minutes and found the leak, assessed the fix, and found the water shut off. 2 minutes. I was shocked because I had a couple contractors and a plumber not be able to find it! Anyway, I asked Tim to show me exactly where it is and if we could double check that it's the shut off for my entire home. He was super patient and showed me the valve and waited for me to double check all the sinks and tubs. Sure enough, he was right and that was the water shut off. Tim even showed me how to tighten the nut and explained that it's common for a leak of that nature just due to turning the handle on and off. So yeah, I was stoked with all that and the best part? When I asked how much I owed, he laughed and said he didn't do any work so it was free of charge. I mean, I insisted on paying him and he said it was fine and to have a great day! So not only did I get great service from the moment I called and spoke with Kevin. But then Tim shows up and is patient and allows me to follow him around to see what he's doing and to make sure I understand my own house. But no charge?! Wow.

All of that being said, I highly recommend Green Tech Plumbing. I will definitely be using them for all future plumbing projects.

Woke up on a Friday morning to semi warm shower and figured the pilot light was out on the hot water heater. Finished with my shower and upon going to the basement to inspect I was treated to water jetting out of my hot water heater. I called Green Tech and talked to someone extremely helpful and ready to divert someone over to my house asap. I didn't relish the idea of taking time off from work for a long process off replacing the heater. To my happiness, they were able to send someone out first thing on Saturday morning. Awesome!!

Luckily, it was discovered that the problem was just a simple crack in the outer faucet. No new heater needed. No con, no up-selling, just professional work that saved the day.

Originally called Mr. Rooter for root out our main sewage line since we had water backup and they did such a poor job that they had to come back the following month. Mr rooter said we needed hydrojetting since our sewage line was 99% blocked which would have added to over 1500 hundred in expenses. Good thing I called Kevin from green tech who informed me we didnt need hydrojetting. They came and did the job, showed us the results in the camera and we called it a day. They completely cleaned out our main line by rooting. Well done Green Tech crew!!!!!

I called around 6:30am and had a plumber at my door by 8:15am. They fixed the problem quickly and explained the issue to me. (I had Mike, a very nice guy). He provided suggestions for maintenance and cleaned up nicely.

If you ever need your sewer line rodded, I suggest calling these guys. I also like the fact that I got an electronic receipt...saving paper is good.

Our sewer backed up and I was looking for a new plumber on the day after Christmas. I picked Green Tech based on my conversation with Kevin, the price quoted to rod out my line, and the 5 Star rating I saw on Yelp. The tech that came out was knowledgeable, professional, and ran a camera through the line after initially rodding it, rodded it again after seeing some more roots, then ran the camera through one more time to show me that the line was clear all the way to the main. I called Green Tech after my basement flooded several inches and my sum-pump was dead. I initially had someone else coming out who did not have the right materials. Green Tech worked me into their schedule and was out within a few hours. Within 30 minutes of them coming, they replaced the sum-pump. They were extremely friendly, professional, and organized. These guys are super professional and know their stuff. Had to call them on a Sunday (of course) for a backed up sewage line. Kevin responded right away and let me know that it would be extra due to the weekend, but hey, when you've got sewage backing up into your house, you really don't sweat the small stuff. A couple of other places I tried to contact never responded or said they couldn't get someone over until the next day. Kevin had a guy onsite in no time, who cleared the immediate blockage (roots growing in sewage line in less than two year old house, who'd of thunk it?) and I scheduled them to come back out on the following Wednesday to do a more thorough cleaning with a larger cutter (guy on Sunday only had a small one). Long story short, it wasn't cheap but both guys that came out were very polite and professional and they even gave me a USB with video of the sewage line so I can see that it was cleaned thoroughly. They even pointed out some potential future trouble spots to keep an eye on. Safe to safe, if I need plumbing services in the future (hopefully not soon, and especially not on a weekend), I'll be calling these guys.

They came out Monday for a problem with sewer water coming up in basement when we did the laundry. They cleared the clogs in the pipes. By Saturday it had happened again. This time Kevin came out. He did extensive clearing/rodding and went in with a camera. Turns out the combination of old pipes with a newer low flow toilet means the toilet paper clogs things up. Kevin didn't charge for the Sunday morning visit which included going in with a camera. Hopefully with the change in TP after all the pipe clearing we will be in good shape. He also suggested cleaning out the toilet tank with clr or a similar stronger product as well as cleaning the little ports inside the toilet bowl, we won't need to call a plumber any time soon. But if we do, we will call Greentech.

I wish there was a ten star option because Green Tech deserves it. I've been utilizing Green Tech for plumbing issues since I moved to the neighborhood last fall. In typical fashion my ejector pump went out a day before I was leaving to go out of town for two weeks. Kevin fit me in on a Saturday and installed a new pump for me. When it came to choosing a pump, Kevin gave me the options and there was never a sales pitch which you may get with other companies.

Recently Kevin stopped by to discuss my options on a battery back up for the pump they installed. Once again Green Tech showed me my options and took the time both in person and over the phone to answer my questions.

Green Tech is top notch and they will be getting my business and referrals in the future!!

Kevin and his team at green tech have done multiple jobs for us at our house that was recently gut renovated. They were able to troubleshoot a leak that we had received the run around on from another company. They have also upgraded our sump pump and installed our battery backup as well. They are honest, quick to respond, and fairly priced. I'd highly recommend for any plumbing work!

Just moved about a year ago. Have had Green Tech out a few times - most recently today - for different issues each time. Kevin and his guys could not be more customer-focused and responsive. They are all very knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. Extremely honest and will not suggest things you don't need. Pleasure to deal with them. And, they are very neat and tidy. Kevin from Green Tech has a laid back, friendly, interpersonal style, but he is very honest and professional. We needed some work done on our sump pump backup system. Kevin came out and gave a free estimate, suggested we first try replacing a fuse in case we were lucky enough that it was causing the problem, and even came out and replaced the fuse for free when we couldn't figure it out. We ended up needing a new backup system after all, but he was very thorough in explaining options and absolutely did not pressure us. He noted a few other things that were done incorrectly by other plumbers, but when I asked about fixing them he recommended we just keep an eye on it and not to waste money if it wasn't going to cause problems. They did a great job installing the sump pump backup, and were even flexible with a payment plan for us.

We have an old house in Des Plaines where we also have a very high water table so plumbing has been an issue in our house since we moved in 5 years ago. We've gone through quite a few plumbers and haven't found any we've really trusted and quite a few that we found out later really took advantage of us. I called Green Tech based on all of their great yelp reviews and couldn't be happier that I did. Kyle came to fix a few issues and then found out one of the weird gurgling sounds we've been ignoring was due to a previous plumber closing off a roof vent. Minor issues were fixed and the mysterious gurgle in our kitchen sink is now gone. Green Tech will be the only one we call for all of our future (and in this house there will definitely be many) plumbing needs.

Overnight our pipes got frozen, leaving us with no water within the household. That night was in the negatives. Talk about a cold, bitter start of the year! It was a state of an emergency but I managed to find and call this company early this morning and Kevin managed to send someone, giving us an estimate on price and arrival. I've used various plumbers over the years but decided to call these guys based on their Yelp reviews. I had water dripping through my basement ceiling from a pipe hidden in the kitchen walls upstairs. I called Greentech and talked to Kevin. He sent out a great young plumber, Tim. He arrived exactly on time, made some measurements, and determined where in the wall the leaking pipe was probably located. He made a small 6x6 cut in the wallboard - and there was the dripping pipe. He made the repair. I had been envisioning a major disaster; instead the job was done in 45 minutes, at a very reasonable price. From now on all my plumbing business goes to Greentech. The 5-star reviews are well deserved.

Called today because the toilet upstairs was leaking and it had created a hole in the floor that resulted in a waterfall above my head. Kevin sent Tim over this afternoon and he re-seated the toilet and all is well. Following up with an estimate to re-pipe the entire house since this is the first time I have felt comfortable dealing with a plumber. Great Company!! My in-laws (who are senior citizens), had a toilet that backed up and called another company to come out and fix the problem.
They attempted to rot out the line but said it was too clogged and that they would have to sign a contract to have them come back the next day to do some other procedure??? (Day 1 was over $500 and day 2 was going to be $1600!) It gets better...They proceed to tell my father-in-law that if the second procedure doesn't work, they'll need to dig up the lawn.
(I can only imagine how much they would have charged for that!)
I told my wife to let me check Yelp before they proceed with these crooks.
I saw the great reviews for Green Tech Plumbing and decided to give Kevin a call. He had a Representative out to their home within a few hours. He rotted out the line and charged a very reasonable price. Problem solved! Thank you for the great, honest service. I really appreciate you taking care of my In-Laws and I know if I ever need any plumbing work done, you'll be the first one I call!

Another great review for these people.

They came out quickly and did exactly what they needed to do. Time was an issue with water in my basement and Green Tech was at my house in less than 30 min.

There was one minor oversight with the job they performed (putty around a pit cover). I called them back a month later asking about and they showed up the next morning completely free of charge.

Yelp doesn't lie, and it's why I chose them in the first place. Use this service.

They were not able to perform the jobs they came to do, were late, overcharged us by 20 minutes, and when they were told we were still having problems with what they were supposed to have fixed, they told us it had nothing to do with them and did not try to make it right. Saw the reviews on yelp and selected this company--very happy that we did. I sent a text and received a response immediately despite it being a holiday. The person I spoke with was able to correctly diagnose the problem over the phone with a couple of photos I sent. The toilet was not set correctly and had to be reset and bolted down tightly. The plumber that was here was professional and courteous. Price was very fair. I would not hesitate to use Green Tech in the future and will recommend to others.

I was asked to post this review on behalf of my husband ( he doesn't have a Yelp account)...
I am a mechanic by trade and usually prefer to do tackle DIY (do it yourself) projects on my own , but on occasion sometimes you have to swallow your pride and ask for help as was my situation last weekend. After installing an ADA Compliant Gerber toilet I was cleaning up our dated bathroom when I discovered that the vanity basin was draining slower & slower until it CEASED draining! I'm always hesitant to tackle plumbing projects in my house because the combination of cast iron and galvanized pipes in a 75 + year old home (time is a major factor) both in age as well as my patience.
Initially I thought that I had induced the problem by the work I had done , but it was merely a coincidence.
I have a manual hand cranking snake which also can be adapted to a cordless drill because this is a necessity in a older home especially where thinning hair is an issue.
As it turns out after dismantling the p-trap and draining the contents i.e.: soap, hair,sludge all over my floor which I had previously cleaned 10 minutes prior I was losing my patience, after rodding the suspected area I still had no success.

That is when I decided to call Green Tech .

-Kevin returned my call promptly and arranged for a technician to come the next day.

-Next day , Tim showed up 20 minutes early (a good trait) , I explained what I attempted to do and had prepped the area for him, another 20 minutes later my bathroom drain was working like new! His experience using a rodding snake allowed him to steer it in the correct path where the obstruction was cleared!
Since the job went so quick I asked him if he could repair a leaking copper elbow that was attached to my water heater? -No problem! another issue resolved in record time!

Had a problem with sump pump causing overflow and creating a real big mess and urgent situation. Contacted Kevin through Yelp after hours, in few minutes he told me that Dan is on his way. In one hour not that they fixed the issue but Dan was also able to replace the noisy valve on the spot for a very fair price. Tremendous respect for these guys. Had a traumatic experience with an electric water heater...called Kevin, he walked me through the whole process and had Nick come out in NO TIME. There were complications with our set-up (never straight forward when it involves me, haha) but he called in reinforcements, never let us see him sweat. I would recommend Green Tech to anyone looking for a fair, fast and favorable experience. I'm always leery about the skilled trades - am I getting ripped off? Did I contact the right person for the job? Etc...I was beyond impressed with Kevin and his team. Our hot water heater wasn't working. We called Green Tech and they sent a tech immediately. They had to replace a thermocoupler and they had the part with them. We called them at 8:15am and the problem was fixed by 9:15am. Great service. I highly recommend Green Tech Plumbing.

I had a gas leak in my house in the city of Chicago. The gas company shut off the gas and locked the meter. I called Greentech and they came out within an hour. They repaired three leaks in about 90 minutes. They hung around while the gas company came back and inspected the work. The gas company passed their work and turned the gas back on. Job complete All in about 4 hours. Good people and affordable prices.

I read previous reviews before contacting Green Tech. I had a clog in the laundry room drain that I could not clear, so I contacted Green Tech. They said that they would be at my home at 11 the following day, and true to their word, they arrived. It took several roddings of the line to clear it. The tech was friendly and the cost was very reasonable for what he had to do. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that needs a great plumber, and I would not hesitate to call them again!

I just used Green Tech for the first time for a leaking outside faucet after getting a recommendation from a neighbor and reading the reviews on Yelp.I have always had a hard time finding decent plumbers that can come on relatively short notice, on time and on budget. In this case I could not wait long because of the cold weather (certainly don't want a pipe to burst!) They showed up on time and rectified the problem quickly. Moreover, they gave some great advise regarding some other plumbing issues that we are having.

While I have never done a yelp review before, I was so unbelievably impressed with the level of service I received from Green Tech that I felt this was necessary. From the moment I called Kevin I knew I was in good hands. He was able to schedule me in for the next day, which was great. Dan arrived on time the following morning. He quickly fixed all of our issues for a reasonable price. When something else came up later in the day he came back to ensure everything was working properly. I'm loving both Yelp and Green Tech right now. We have a valve installed under our utility sink in the basement that we close when there is heavy rain and flooding. Without the valve, water can back up into the sink and into the basement. Today Chicagoland was hit with the very heavy rain and flooding that I feared.... and of course, our valve broke. As our street started to fill with water I headed to Yelp to look for a plumber. The reviews of Green Tech were stellar, so I called and got an answering machine. I left a message at 9:32am and was not all that hopeful for a response given that today may be one of the busiest days for plumbers this whole year. At 9:41am I got a call back from Kevin. He was super personable and helpful, quickly understood my needs and despite this being a day from hell, said this would be a quick fix and that he would try to fit me in after lunch. Sure enough, he called after lunch and said Tim was on his way. Tim was awesome... he took a look, discussed options with us and within less than half an hour I had a new valve at a reasonable price. Would have been easy to gouge customers on a day like today. We have a couple of other plumbing projects and we will definitely be calling Green Tech. I highly recommend them. Kevin from GreenTech helped me out of a jam last week. He talked me through cleaning off the thermal sensor to my water heater to try to get it running again. When that didn't get it started he talked me through getting a new FV sensor and trouble shooting that. I ended up getting the water heater started and Kevin helped me through the whole process. And didn't charge me a dime. The next plumbing project that I have is going straight to this honest business man. You should do the same.

Fantastic; love this company! I called Kevin the owner when we were in dire straits. Another company had come out when our toilet/tub backed up and had told me that we needed to break open the concrete basement floor, change 4 inch pipes to 6 inches pipes... all this before the guy could even clean out the tree roots blockage that was farther down the sewer pipe. I called Kevin and told him I was in need of a second opinion quickly. He kindly squeezed me into that schedule the same day which awesome as the plumber who just left said don't use your tub, shower or toilet! I had heard great things about Green Tech on the Next Door app as well as Yelp reviews. They were able to get the blockage cleared out before and after the flood control without any issues or breaking open my basement floor. They sent a camera down and viewed the pipes and all was clear. This saved us thousands of dollars. I highly recommend them. They are honest, great equipment (can do what other plumbers cannot with rodding as it's state of the art), his employees are wonderful to work with ~ knowledgeable and great customer service.

Within less than a minute of submitting a request through Yelp online, Kevin called to tell me that I'm not in his service area -- BUT proceeded to ask me to identify the problem and then gave me proposed solutions, a general quote, and a referral over the phone. This just doesn't happen typically. From the high customer service level and in-depth analysis of the problem, I'm convinced from a 5-minute phone call that this is a company to call for your plumbing needs. Maybe I should move to Park Ridge!

I highly recommend Green Tech! Very knowledgeable both on the phone and in person. They came out to inspect our sewer line for a blockage. They showed me the blockage on camera and then proceeded to rod it out for us. They told me our sewer was in good shape with good flow. Previous company told us the pipe was cracking and we needed to replace to the tune of 10,000. So nice to be treated fairly, educated by the company and treated with respect. Our plumber was named Tim and I dealt with Kevin on the phone. Both extremely courteous! Thank you Green Tech!

My husband and I were in the process of buying a home. Our inspector brought some plumbing issues to our attention and suggested we get a second opinion from a professional plumber. We were in love with the property and really wanted it to work out but knew that plumbing was nothing to mess with - so we called Kevin at Green Tech. He did not charge us, came out to the property, and unfortunately found some MAJOR issues that were way beyond the original problems documented in our inspection. He saved us from making a major purchase that would have ended up costing us close to $20K to repair. The sellers did not disclose any of these issues and we were very close to purchasing the property before we spoke to Kevin. We cannot thank him enough for his honest opinion, professionalism and the timely matter in which he handled our situation. When we finally do find our future home, I plan to reach back out to Green Tech for any / all of our plumbing needs. I would highly recommend this company!

I will definitely be recommending Green Tech Plumbing Co to anyone that needs plumbing work to be done. After finding a mud puddle in my front lawn, I had the village come out to inspect the problem I was advised that the water main too my home cracked. I called 2 other companies before I found Green Tech via a neighbors recommendation. One told me the issue was the villages issue, and never called me back with an estimate after two follow up phone calls. The other company gave me an estimate without ever coming to my home.
I called Green Tech Plumbing and spoke to Kevin. As mentioned in another review, Kevin was very laid back and personable. He came out to check the problem and called me back the same day with an estimate. They were here on time and did a great job. They explained everything that they found, they were able to return some unneeded parts, AND, they didn't need to break up the sidewalk. As a result, my final bill was lower than the estimate, for which I am so grateful.

The evening before my husband I went out of town we discovered water dripping in our basement, soaking our carpeting. We had no idea what to do and were hesitant to say the least about letting someone into our home while we were away. Kevin at Green Tech was recommeded very highly to us, and as we had to get the problem fixed, we decided to go ahead and have him take a look while we were away.
Needless to say, MANY things could have gone wrong in this situation. But to our delight and surprise, it was a small issue with the sump pump that took him less than an hour to fix. We were beyond grateful for his honesty, and for the fact that when we got home, the leak was fixed and the basement was as clean as we left it. He called us before he started working to let us know what the issue was, and as soon as he was finished to let us know he was leaving. I cannot say enough about how happy we were to work with him, and he has most definitely earned both our trust and our future business.

Long story short, Village came out to look through the sewer line before they started a main sewer project next Spring, they could not see because our sewer line was full of water. Went through Angie's list and found a highly rated plumbing company with good reviews and the cost was $99. They came out, could not clear the clog, their camera was under water too and proceeded to provide us with an estimate to install a new cleanout outside my home at the cost of $4800 to $6800. We had the line cleared about 2 years ago and there were no problems but we couldn't remember who we had come out so I went to Yelp. Looked around and found that I could provide my situation and have multiple companies respond. The most frequent questions and answers came from Kevin at Green Tech Plumbing Co. so I decided to look at their reviews on Yelp. Not a bad one in the bunch and even the one, just one mind you, that was only one star Kevin responded as I would want any one to respond by taking ownership. I talked to Kevin on the phone and he is as others have said, attentive, quick to respond and tells it like it is. He said I was out of his area of service but if I wanted to pay the extra then he would send someone out. He told me if he came out and could not clear the clog that he wouldn't charge me but wanted the opportunity to provide an estimate for the outside cleanout. He said if he did come out it would be about $500. Kevin sounded like he really knew his stuff so we agreed and made arrangements for him to come out today. Dan and Nick were very professional. They asked questions and I told them all of the above and they went to work. They got the clog cleared as anticipated. They put the camera in to show me and they could move the camera out all the way to the street connection to show that it was cleared. Dan was very clear explaining everything he had done, showing me what was what on the camera view. Showed me different areas of the sewer line so that I would know it was completely clear. I am very pleased, very happy and would pay the extra for them to come out again if needed. Thank you Dan, Nick and Kevin.

After getting water in my basement last spring I asked three different plumbing companies to come out and give me their thoughts on a solution. The first two just tried the easy fix of routing out the drain pipe to the sumpump and left within an hour. When the next heavy rain came we got water again. I called Green Tech Plumbing and Kevin came out. He said, if this was my house. this is what I would do. I took his suggestion of putting in a new pipe underground and adding a new sumpump in my basement. Problem solved!!! Haven't had a drop of water in my basement since. This has been the best home improvement money I have spent yet! Since then Green Tech has been my first call for a backed up toilet and a clogged sink. I have their number on my fridge for any plumbing issues in the future! I would highly recommend them,

Needing to redo an old bathroom with bad plumbing, I called Green Tech for some ideas and estimates. On his recommendation, I decided to have a steam shower system installed. Great idea! I had no idea how theraputic such a system would be after a hard days work, or just for relaxation. Green Tech handled demolition and complete installation of my new shower in a few days, cleaning up completely after each days work. They are exceptionally professional, detail oriented, and did the job for much less than I expected.

My review goes beyond just a review. This is a note of personal gratitude from our family to Kevin and his team. I don't know why plumbing problems cannot happen to us on say a regular Tuesday in the morning, but it was Saturday at 5 pm on Labor Day weekend, and we had a leak. Not just a leak, but a horrible, smelly problem coming from the stack in the basement with backed up water running through our ceiling and no usable toilets. And 2 kids... all facing a long holiday weekend. I called multiple local places, and nobody was available. I called Green Tech based on their all-star reviews, and I talked with Nick. At first he said he didn't service this area, but he said he was happy to talk with me on the phone (for free) just to try to get the problem under control. He gave me the name of a local plumber, and I called - but no answer. I called Nick back just desperate. I know they do not normally service this area, and it was a long drive, but he knew the situation and said he would call his guy and see if he could work it out -- which he did. I feel badly that I cannot remember the name of the guy who came out and saved us. He was fantastic. He explained the problem, which was tree roots in our sewer that had finally backed everything up. He rooted it all out -- a horrible job -- and tested everything in our house to make sure we were back to normal. A day later you would never know we had a problem. No more smell, toilets all working, yay. I cannot imagine where we would be without Nick's kindness. Yes, we paid extra for the overtime and travel costs, but it was OK because he had told me that beforehand, and I told him I was totally ok with it given the situation! They were professional, upfront about the price, and excellent in terms of quality of work. Thank you again! (And please open a Green Tech branch near us...)

Kevin and Tim were both awesome to work with. The previous night, I had another plumber visit my home to inspect a gas leak problem and provided an estimate of $1,400 -- which would have included replacing ALL the old gas lines in my basement, Luckily, I called Green Tech the next morning and spoke with Kevin who patiently listened to my description of the problem and suggested a less costly alternative. Tim ended up coming by that morning and doing a pressure air test on the gas lines. He was able to patch the one leaky pipe (which was still in good condition), re-run the air test, and no longer had a leak. It only ended up costing us $300 to fix the problem. This was a huge difference and certainly a welcomed relief for our pocket book. Green Tech is an honorable company that provides great service while looking out for the customer's best interest as well. They are now my plumber of choice in the AH area!

My husband and I moved into an older house last year. The entire place needed new piping, along with new faucets, shower heads, drains and toilets. This was daunting to us given that we had heard some horror stories as to how expensive plumbing can be and didn't have a ton of extra money because we had just purchased a home. In my research for a plumber I spoke with many different companies and green tech seemed the most organized. Most importantly they were willing to schedule an appointment promptly. Given that we couldn't move into our new home until the plumbing was done we were in a rush. Kevin and a coworker came just a couple days after we spoke and began work. Within 3 days we had all new piping throughout the house and new shower heads, faucets, drains and toilets for all 3 of our bathrooms. Kevin gave us great prices on all appliances and did an excellent and efficient job piping and installing everything. That was a year ago and we have had zero issues with any of our new plumbing-we are beyond satisfied with Kevin and Green Tech and will be using them/recommending them for all plumbing needs in the future.
