Avant Rooter promised to show up within a window for emergency services and didn't call, and didn't show up. When I called they asked if they could reschedule, I said that wasn't acceptable. They promised to call me back but never did. Don't depend on them!

I'm not big on reviews but Dan was really amazing.  He was very professional, great with communication and excellent at the work.  He kept us posted on timing and got the job done quickly. We were very pleased.  Pleased enough to write a review!  I highly recommend them!!!

James sanded and refinished and painted (2 coats) to 14 large old wood cabinet doors in my kitchen. Doors were about 25 years old and very worn. The job took time and the end result was well worth the time and effort spent. James is a hard worker and a perfectionist and an artist when it comes to his work. I highly recommend Canadian James for handyman work. He will be my go to handyman from now on.

We had an emergency where our pipe had burst.  We called several plumbers, and Armando was the first to respond.  He and his technicians came to our office immediately, and he quickly fixed the broken pipe.  He was very professional and provided excellent service.  Moreover, his pricing was very reasonable.  I would not hesitate to use Armando for his plumbing services.

We called Jay towards the end of the day to replace a leaking hose bib as well as a leaking pipe under our bathroom sink. He was extremely responsive and agreed to come after normal hours. He and his father were total professionals. They wore masks, shoe covers, were respectful of my family, and got the job done efficiently for a fair price. I've been using Diaz plumbing since moving into Highland Park eight years ago.  Always courteous, friendly, honest, and prompt, they have done every plumbing job on my house from a leaky drain pipe, to replacing an old, worn out tank water heater with a new tankless one, to upgrades is faucets and replacing valve stems and angle stops as necessary.  I'm always very pleased with their work!

I'm so glad I called Drain-eez!  Our toilet stopped working and drains started backing up a bit. They got back to me within a few minutes of calling and came out the next day.  Pat was great to work with - he walked me through everything and charged me exactly what they quoted us for a new ejector pump. They've clearly been doing this for a long time and know what they're doing.  Highly recommend!

The water heater went out in our condo building on a Thursday afternoon. I texted Mac around 8pm with a photo of the tank and the leak and he replied immediately. He diagnosed the problem from a few photos and was over here as soon as we got permission from our condo association. He didn't beat around the bush and gave us a very fair price for the work that needed to be done (a new tank as our old one was very old). He was out here quickly and he and his guys were professional and super fast. He even texted the next day to make sure we were happy.

Our toilet flooded in the middle of the night on a Sunday. I didn't want to risk serious water damage, so I did a quick search & found fast response from Discount Plumbing. I requested a quote on yelp and they responded within minutes & they said a technician can come out & gives me a FREE quote with no obligation. They arrived in minutes and my toilet soon was able to flushing like it was brand new! I appreciate them walking in with booties and walking me through the whole process & answering my questions. Could not have asked for a better experience, especially for my first time needing a plumber in a high rise. Scotty was able to come out within 24 hours of the first call, and not only fixed our clogged sink but also gave us a few tips on other things around the sink that could be improved and even helped us do it right then and there. He was in and out, very nice, and charged a better rate than some of the other plumbers I talked to. Great experience and will use again for all plumbing issues!

After booking an appointment a day out for a clogged kitchen sink. The technician did not show up for the 1-3pm window.  I reached out twice to see what was happening, with no word back. Had to book another plumber last minute, who showed up within a few hours. I am only giving 2 stars because I can't give 1.5.  Also the tech was apologetic when he finally got back at 6pm, giving a story about being busy, etc... Bottom line, regardless of what's happening, a quick text or call to update would have saved a customer and bad review. Lesson learned I hope.
