We called Avant Rooter to help with a smell we thought was coming from our master bathroom drain. After checking the p-trap, which was fine, he recommended flushing our pipes. This sounded like a solid plan since we didn't know the last time it'd been done.

Patrick went into our crawl space to check our pipes before starting the work. When he came out, he told us he smelled the odor but believed the cause was a dead animal (yuck!) instead of plumbing and recommended against having the pipes flushed. He was 100% correct and saved us hundreds of dollars we would've paid on plumbing that didn't fix our problem because we didn't know any better.

Thank you for being so honest! We will absolutely use Avant the next time we have a plumbing issue.

I don't have a landlord, none of what you claim I was quoted was true, and I don't know what you're talking about. I think you texting me trying to deny what you literally just said to me (and is recorded on my security cameras) within 30 seconds of my posting the initial is very telling.

After having our shower back up for over five months and a complete bathroom remodel, we were desperate for a solution. Josh and Aaron were professional and courteous. I called 3 different companies and Hotline Plumbing is by far the BEST.  Other companies wanted to cut a hole through my wall and fix something that wasn't even broken.  Mauricio came and fixed the problem within 30 minutes!  I can't believe how honest and knowledgeable he was.

Albert was amazing- I requested a quote and, within 2 hours, he was here at my door (exactly on time). He snaked the drain in my shower in no time at all and was LOADS cheaper than any other plumbing service I had received a quote from. So awesome!

I called Sewerman in the middle of a party when all toilets and tubs stopped working. Her texted in less than 5 minutes and was at the house in under and hour. A+ service, he literally just left and fixed the two slow draining issues we have with the guest bathroom and master shower.  Armando was on time, communication was clear, flexible and genuine.  Definitely will keep him as my go to, and I'd recommend the same.  Kept the social distancing, work protective gear and shoe booties too.  Price is competitive, called others for quotes and lead times and Armando and his business beat them all.

For ten years, I have been searching for a reliable plumber in Hollywood. Finally I have found him.  His name is Jay and he is very professional and reliable. I've read all of the other reviews here, and I agree with them.

For me, Jay took on a massive challenge of replacing the main sewer line on a steep hillside. He gave me a very reasonable price, he started the job exactly on time and finished ahead of schedule.

The work was very difficult because of the hillside location and yet he never complained. He just got to work and did it fast and well.

The job was extra complicated because the digging and pipecutting and replacement were done in a neighbor's yard on the hillside above their house. As you can imagine, this is a very difficult request for a neighbor to accept and get comfortable with. But I did get permission and I promised my neighbor that Jay would do the job without any disturbance. Jay did not let me down.

Jay and his crew were supremely professional. They were so quiet and so efficient that my neighbor did not even notice they were there working until I texted to let them know that the job was already done. Afterwards, there was literally no trace of the digging.

The other thing I noticed about Jay is that he uses state-of-the-art equipment.  He showed me the scope down the sewer line, which is hundreds of feet in length, and it was all very clear in color on the video monitor. He also used a metal scanning scope to find the pipe on the hillside and he has a state-of-the-art system to line the old pipe with a fiberglass sleeve.  I felt very confident about his ability to do the job correctly.

Jay is a good communicator. He explained to me very carefully every step of the repair job in advance.  At each major step during the repair, Jay climbed up the hill and invited me to come down and inspect the work.  I like knowing that the plumber is not afraid to show his work and is willing to explain it to a customer.  Not all plumbers want the homeowner inspecting their work. Jay is okay with it because he does good work.

In sum, I recommend Jay highly.  He is trustworthy, reasonably priced, prompt, thorough and reliable. You can't ask for more.

(Also, I have previously hired four different plumbing companies, including the two big ones, and they were very disappointing. Three of them created more problems than they fixed. From now on, I will only go to Jay for all my household plumbing jobs).

A glass fell in our garbage disposal, and jammed it to the point it wouldn't turn on. I called to have a new one installed, but they gave me two quick tips to try and fix it myself, and it worked! What an incredibly honest company to be more concerned with  a happy customer than taking advantage of me to make a quick buck on the minimum for a trip out.

Woke up Sunday morning to no hot water and 3 people needing to shower,lol. Bummer! Looked around at some reviews and found Fastplumbing. I talked to Mac about the problem..super nice guy btw..said he would be out by 10 and made it by 9..when does that ever happen..never! Mac was great..we had to replace the water heater and he told us all about the new unit, also pointed out some other pipe issues that i was aware of but now i have a company i can trust to fix it the correct way! Had a pipe leak and the team at Rescue was able to make the repair within 24hrs of my call. Logan and his partner were very professional, taking the time to explain the issue and the needed repair. Would definitely use them again.

Our toilet flooded in the middle of the night on a Sunday. I didn't want to risk serious water damage, so I did a quick search & found fast response from Discount Plumbing. I requested a quote on yelp and they responded within minutes & they said a technician can come out & gives me a FREE quote with no obligation. They arrived in minutes and my toilet soon was able to flushing like it was brand new! I appreciate them walking in with booties and walking me through the whole process & answering my questions. I was referred by a friend who has an old building with lots of problems and emergencies and not a lot of money to fix all of them at once.  Scott has always been able to come through for her to fix the problem correctly and at a fair price so I called him to help me move my drain and prepare for a new vanity to be installed.

I have had a similar and positive experience as well.  He quoted the hourly up front, but doesn't pad it charging your for every dang second and then rounding up as he takes 20 minutes to write an invoice. ( I've used many great plumbing services who gouge so much in this way, even though they are good at what they do I avoid using them when I can because I am always left feeling a bit like I just got mugged in an alley). I don't get that with Scott:  He's upfront, responsive, on time, efficient, friendly, fair and knows what he's doing. How rare is that?  He doesn't cut corners either.   I want the problem corrected, not patched.

He's coming back tomorrow to finish up and I'll post an update and maybe even a photo....stay tuned.....

Ultimately drain cleared so going to write this off to initial frustration

Only major rec. is that workers more diligent in putting down tarps to work on and clean up

Initially the service seem to be a high-quality responsive service

On the first round of repairs things were left messy and unfinished and we had to clean up

on the second visit they double charged us for the exact same process on a sink clog with no results

Our overall cost was in excess of $700 to simply clear out blocked drains

We were told on the second visit for the blocked drain they were bringing a camera and a special rotor

They never did that and the extremely slow process by the was it disappointing and infuriating with items being forgotten trips up and down the elevator nothing brought all at once

We were not given what we were represented as being given and would not recommend this company again
