Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in United States

I cannot rate this higher than 5 stars, which is a shame.  This company was a pleasure to work with on every level.  After buying a new-to-us home here in the Scottsdale area, knowing hot weather is on its way, we decided to make sure the AC systems were going to be tuned up.  I come from the Pacific NW where AC is uncommon in residences, so I wasn't really sure where to start.
So I turned to Yelp, and y'all directed me.  That's how I found Larson AC.

Being a AC newbie, I went big and bought the premium 'cool kids' plan.  Why?  Because they advertise same day service if your AC goes out, and if it's anything like a furnace in the colder parts of the country, you know it's never gonna fail on a good day.  Now that we've had our first service, I'm glad I bought it for the incredible thoroughness.  First, their business communications are prompt and informative.  Scheduling was prompt, and Lyle was punctual.  As usual communications leading up to the appointment were as timely and professional as you'd like.  

Our tech Lyle had 2 pretty good-size systems to thoroughly inspect and clean, and he did so as methodically, meticulously, and timely as you could ask for.  He was congenial, wore mask and booties, was neat, and is great at explaining things.  We received a complete report, with pictures, on the health of both systems, all maintenance that was done, and any outstanding issues.  When he found a leak in the unit that had just been installed a couple months ago, he was immediately on the phone to the company that had sold it and done the install.  Since this is covered under the Home Warranty we He made sure I had all the information I would need to pass along to the home warranty company, and I know if I'm not satisfied with the company my warranty company uses for the repair, I will go straight back to Larson!

I stopped in to purchase a gas valve and found out that they don't sell them other than for warranties. I asked if he had old water heaters that might have a good part. We went inside and explained whats happening w mine and he took me to his warehouse and said it might be this or that. Paul was very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you!

Great service. Sent in a request on Wednesday evening and Mike responded quickly. We got the details and he told me he would reach out Thursday to schedule. Quick phone call and we were booked for Friday. Mike called before arriving, showed up, and got to work. Quickly diagnosed the washer issue and found a clogged washer filter. Cleaned it out, tested it, showed me where it was for the future, and was out. Very reasonable rates, great service, and overall good experience.

My AC has been struggling and running at 85-92 the past month so I had someone come out to check on it and they recommended a repair which I thought was a little high.  I then asked a friend's son who is out of market about his opinion on what they said (figuring it would be honest since he's not trying to get my business) and he recommended a new unit based on the costs involved with the motor and coils.  A local friend had Boldt come out to install their AC units, so I decided to schedule a second opinion with Boldt.  He found the same issues the original company did but also recommended a new unit, saying the original unit was not the right size for my place!  He was able to add some refrigerant and it's freezing cold inside now.  Will definitely be using these guys again!  Thanks.

Called them as my AC died on the hottest day of the year. Told them clearly it was in a very nasty area on my roof. Two old guys came in, I was frankly worried about them climbing and getting hurt. They did climb up, called me after 20 min that they couldn't access the electrical, charged me 60 bux no work done.

*** Update: they had damaged my unit when they went up there to check, pried the door open, bent it, instead of taking it apart, and they had left it open and left, I have pictures from my other mechanic. ***

I don't know what their objective is, this is vandalism at best, scam/ criminal behavior at worst.

The company did a great job. The process starts with a quote, and I think this process was fair. Instead of just recommending the highest cost unit, they listened to how we will use the unit, and recommended one that will be cheaper to run and eventually fix. Ultimately they weren't the cheapest prices, but it was reasonable for the work they did.

Then install day arrived and I think they did a great job and it was a quality installation. Chris the owner also visited to check how things were going.

One negative is that after the unit was installed, they just closed the door and turned it on to measure the temperature. They were never in the attic after it was powered, nor did they check the outside unit.  Yes eventually they will come back a few months later to check it more, but I would have preferred more operational checks before they left. I've had my share of AC companies that said it was all fixed and left, only to find out it really wasn't really fixed. Only time will tell if everything is working perfectly, and I have no indication it isn't. If things should turn out differently I will update my review. But to date, all looks good.

I met Caleb several years ago when I rented a house in surprise and he did all the spring checks on  my unit.
When I bought my home in 2012 I trusted him so much I had him come to check my AC for me. I use Caleb every year for my spring check ups and any other work that needs to get done that is not covered under my home warranty.
Recently my air went out and he had two portable units he let me borrow them while I waited for the warranty department to get back with me.
Caleb  and Misty have always been professional, on time and gone above and beyond for me .
I highly recommend AZ Air experts. If I did not have a warranty I would use them 100% for everything. I will NOT use anyone else.

My Evaporative cooler was not working and causing a breaker to trip. I reported the problem to Danette at Cool Zone and made an appointment for repairs to be made.  On 04/25/2019 a technician (unknown name) arrived, and I told him to proceed with the repairs (without asking for a cost estimate).  He completed the work and presented me with an invoice for $826.97 which included the cost of a 3/4, 115V blower motor @ $666. I thought  the cost was extremely high, but paid it, as I had no idea how much the motor should cost. However, I later checked with Lo
we's and Home Depot and found the motors retail for between $85 and $150. I discussed the above with my niece, Kathy, who called Danette and suggested there may have been an error in the billing.  Kathy was told there was no mistake and they would not make any adjustments to the billing. I would not recommend doing business with Cool Zone.  I would be glad to re-think this review if CoolZone would furnish me with a copy of the invoice showing exactly how much they paid for the blower motor.

So my thoughts are when the house hits 102 degrees, call Heath at Arctic Fox Heating and Air, (623) 533-5718, because he is seriously the best - and honest - and reasonable - keeps you updated, and does what he says he's going to do. We've had experiences with less than honest technicians from other company's and it's just not worth it.  We just gave him keys to the house for three days, and we stayed in an air conditioned hotel!  We completely trust Heath and his team, and have total respect for what he does.

One of my AC's went out on my short-term rental. Christine and Dave have been a trusted partner, helping implement a short-term solution to keep my guests cool while we wait on parts for my new installation. I'm happy to give my business to such a reliable and trustworthy company. Highly recommend!

We have used Dukes several time for our yearly AC maintenance and we were extremely impressed with their service so when it came time to buy a new AC unit we decided to get an estimate from them. The entire process was completely painless. From the estimate day to two days later having my new unit running. Our service team Manny, Luis, Freddy, Berto and Danny did an amazing job. They were able to complete the job with no drywall damage even though several over companies told us we would have a big hole cut. They left the room just as clean as when they arrived. We were very happy with their work and highly recommend Dukes.

Every summer for years I have been able to count on David to come save my family from a/c failure. After many repairs I finally decided to get a new unit. I couldn't be happier with my decision. We've had them rescue our unit a few times now and ended up signing up with their maintenance plan for piece of mind.

Anytime they do work they take tons of pictures and are transparent about what they're doing, what they recommend, pricing etc. Highly recommended, they have great communication and service!

This company was recommended by a friend. The guy who came out was very courteous and seemed genuine. Our problem was something we thought might cost us thousands but we weren't sure. He gave us an honest assessment of our issue, didn't seem like he was trying to make crazy money off of us. But, he fixed our unit, and haven't had any issues with it at all. I would recommend this company 100% and will use them in the future.

Alan is the best! A/C went out on a Wednesday morning, I had another company come out that afternoon and tell me that the compressor and fan motor were broken and that I'd need a new $5,000 air conditioner. I called Alan's Air that night at about 5:00pm to get someone out there for a second opinion, and Alan was out there the next morning at 8am. Turns out the compressor was not broken at all and just the fan motor needed to be replaced, for a fraction of what an entire new A/C unit would have cost. Alan was prompt, professional, and excellent at his job. Alan is extremely trustworthy and will be my go to person from here on out, thank you Alan's Air!

Recently our 30 year old AC stopped working and I called Ideal Energy to come out an assess it.  The sent a technician named Chris, who was very knowledgeable and trustworthy, diagnosed that the compressor was indeed dead.  

They quickly gave me a few different options and I chose to go with their recommended options, which was a much more energy efficient new unit.

A few days later Chris came back with the new unit and installed it.

I couldn't be happier with the results.  The new unit works so well!  It cools our house within minutes and doesn't make a sound!

I will definitely be recommending Ideal to everyone I know who has AC issues.

In 25 years we have had a lot of plumbers at our home,but never as efficient as Tyson. I didn't think he would have to get under the sink so I didn't remove anything. Tyson took everything out and replaced it exactly as it was. He also wore a mask,gloves and booties. This company is very efficient from the first contact to finish.

Great experience.  One of the rooms in our house was warmer than the others.  They came out, assessed the situation very thoroughly and were able to diagnose the problem very quickly.  The technician, Kevin, was a great guy - no pressure and did a great job explaining WHY something was needed instead of just telling us to buy it.

They had a tech come the same day that I called. Diagnosed the issue and had the repair done within an hour.  While not cheap the price was fair and within the price range I expected from my own online research. I would not hesitate to reccomend.
