This is my second 5-star review for this company in a week! After the great work they did replacing my water heater, I had them come out for an AC tune up. Brad came out yesterday morning and walked me through his entire tune up process. He educated me on several small things I could do myself to ensure my unit stayed up-to-speed and gave me a few options for how to enhance and improve my system. He was honest, thorough and professional, and I will definitely be using him and AHWA again!

Great service. Sent in a request on Wednesday evening and Mike responded quickly. We got the details and he told me he would reach out Thursday to schedule. Quick phone call and we were booked for Friday. Mike called before arriving, showed up, and got to work. Quickly diagnosed the washer issue and found a clogged washer filter. Cleaned it out, tested it, showed me where it was for the future, and was out. Very reasonable rates, great service, and overall good experience.

July 26th - got up and my HVAC was blowing hot air. It was going to be 117 degrees outside. I called three companies to see how quickly they could come out. Boldt not only said they could have a tech at my house in an hour (a tech was already in the neighborhood) but happened to be cheaper on their service call than the others. I was at work, new babysitter with my kids in tow had to wait for the tech in the hot house. I was in constant contact with Fran (front office who was great!) ensuring everything went smoothly.
Job was quick, professional and well priced. They certainly helped avoid what could've been a really bad day for me and my family.
Should I have any issues with my HVAC in the future, (hopefully not), Boldt is my first call!

Wish I could give more than 5 stars. Amazing and quick service! I have a rental property in Tempe and my tenants called me letting me know when they got home from work the AC wasn't working. Summer in AZ is no joke so I tried to find someone to hopefully come out in the next 24 hours, then found Johnny. I called Johnny at 6:15pm and he was out to the property and fixed the issue all by 8:15pm! Super quick, super affordable, and a really nice guy! Can't say enough good things about him! You won't be disappointed.

Apologies as I am a couple months late here but couldn't miss giving Gladiate Air a review... Back in early winter when we had a few cold snap days, I turned on the heat on our dual HVAC systems. I was surprised to see both systems failed exactly the same way. Not being an HVAC person, I was pretty well convinced the problem was in our thermostats since a coincidental furnace failure of the same type in both furnaces would be against the odds. After a week, I gave up being a furnace expert and called Gladiate Air (thank you, Yelp). A quick, smart professional showed up right away and diagnosed our problem as a faulty control panel on each furnace... most likely due to age (12 years) and dust accumulation. One panel dead and I sure appreciate his efforts to resurrect the second panel... but ultimately both replaced... and his supervisor stopped by to check on the work being done. Price seemed very fair and house was left clean by our polite, friendly fixer. Thanks Gladiate Air!

We called Dukes when our AC unit froze up. We were told that we needed to replace the whole unit as there were many pinhole leaks. We were given the option of topping off with R22 and hoping for the best with no guarantee how long it would last and it would be costly. We don't make $7k decisions ($15k for 2 units) on the spot so we chose to top off the R22 to give us time to get some estimates and also stay comfortable. The R22 top off was $1,000. The tech actually laughed at our decision which I thought was unprofessional. We got a few estimates within a week. In the end, we chose Dukes. They spent a LOT of time going over the equipment and installation. They show you photos of your equipment and what they will install. It is a very thorough sales pitch. They credited some of the R22 cost back. The install was easy and professional. The one thing I wish they would have done was take after photos of our install. It would have been a nice touch. Dukes is not the cheapest. You will save money if you go the Costco route. But had I not had the Dukes estimate first, I wouldn't have known what questions to ask the other companies. And those other companies could not answer my questions as precisely and confidently as Dukes did. I told Dukes that they were not the cheapest but they were the most informative and they said they get that response a lot. We are happy with our decision. This is really a 4.8 star rating based on the high cost of the R22 and the tech laughing at that choice.

I use Yelp to find a lot of the businesses I use. I find that the reviews are very valuable and help me make good choices. Since I use Yelp to FIND companies, I do a lot of reviews myself. I want to pass along the information and help others. When you sit down and review a company, it is hard to picture that you are not only talking about the company, but the owner. Most of the time I would say, so what? If they lived up to the hype, I write a glowing review. If they fell flat, I rip them a new one. Plain and simple. Business is business.
But it is hard to understand that with little companies, you are not only ripping the company, but the owner. Most of the time, I really don't care. Why should I care if some fat cat owner got their fat wallet hurt by what I said? I don't even HAVE A JOB, so BOO HOO I hurt your feelings. But once in a while something happens that fall outside the bounds of the norm. When I reviewed Bumble Bee I was not expecting any answer. I was DEFINITELY not expecting a refund. Let me repeat, my first review said I WAS FINE WITH PAYING THE TRIP CHARGE, I WAS NOT EXPECTING A REFUND. So when Lisa offered me one I was skeptical. I thought, sure you want to give my money back to shut me up. Make me change my review.
So I agreed to meet Lisa. Get my money, run... end of story. But something happened I was not expecting. I saw in Lisa's eyes, her face, her body language. She was not just trying to shut me up, she was genuinely disappointed. I could tell this business is very very small, and it is her families whole life. There is pride in this business. They may not be big, but they take great pride in being good. They are the company that actually CARES. When I ripped her apart, it wasn't anger, it was hurt. I took a shot at the most valuable thing she owns and cares for like a family member. She wanted to meet me not to make me quiet, but to apologize and explain. The most amazing part... she still wanted to work with me! I think this shocked me more than anything else. I figured she would be glad to see me go and never come back. But instead she comes up with a future plan of attack and prepares me for the many steps to come.
I learned a lesson here. If you are a customer who likes working with mom & pop shops like I do... You need to be a little more aware of your actions. I didn't write a bad review of Walmart... I trashed Lisa and her husband. I did it before she had the chance to explain. I did it before she could fix it. This may be ok for Walmart, but it isn't ok for a company this small. I love the little guy. I love the underdog... so why was I so willing to trash them, well that was simply me not thinking about my actions before I hit send. So Lisa, publicly I do apologize. I am impressed with how you reached out to me. I impressed I got my money back. I was fall down on my face shocked you still wanted to work with me. I look forward to it. I hope this repairs any damage I may have caused you and your family. From the bottom of my heart I am sorry if my temper caused you and your family any damage. Our AC was acting up, so I called Cave Creek Cooling first thing the next morning. Mike came out a couple hours later; replaced a part, and took time to clean the units and saw the pressure was really high. He adjusted it and stayed to make sure it was running better. We now have cool air on this really hot AZ day.
Mike is so professional and wonderful, and so thankful to him for fixing our really old unit. He did not pressure us to replace them; fixed the problem, and we now have a new AC guy. He is awesome!

After 12 years of owning a 1950's red brick house I finally decided to focus on my comfort, especially during the summer. I purchased a new AC several years ago from a different company and expected a huge improvement in my comfort and electric bill. NOPE. I had Ideal Energy come out and do an energy audit on my home, which clearly detailed why even a new AC was not making a difference. My old duct system was a mess, I had very little insulation and needed a larger main return plus an additional return in the hot bedroom.
They fixed everything and finished 4 days ago. The process went smoothly and I did not have any problems with any of the people I interacted with. Very professional company.
The BEST thing is that I finally have a very comfortable, even cold, house with outdoor temps over 110. My AC is running 8-10 hours less per day!!

So I was in the cooking dinner and noticed it was getting a a little hotter in the kitchen than the usual. Turns out, the AC in our home is went out in the middle of summer. The thermostat was showing 92 degrees inside! So I turn on every fan we have (which was no help) felt like we were living inside an air fryer. Long story short I started calling a bunch AC repair places who claim to be 24/7 but the earliest they could come out was 2-3days later. -__- Anyways I contacted Desert Comfort Mechanical around 11:30 pm and they were able to come out the following morning. The crew Fadel and Dennis are great guys and took really good care of us. They were knowledgeable courteous , Fast, and gave us a fair price. What I like most is that did not rip us off like the other AC company we've used before with the big ugly blue trucks with the goofy looking polar bear on the side. Desert Comfort Mechanical will definitely be my go to for any AC problems. 100% satisfied, Thank you guys again.
