Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in United States

My first experience with Larson was today. I called around noon and my furnace was fixed by 4:15 at a reasonable price. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant, efficient, and professional. My furnace is 30 years old and I was steeling myself for someone trying to sell me a new unit. No one went down that road. They did diagnostics, found the problem was a part that could be replaced, and replaced it. Knowledgeable, honest, nice people. Good to know there are companies and people like this.

Today I had the line from my R O system to the back of my refrigerator replaced because of a leak.   My technician was Javier.   He was polite, knowledge, got the job done and gave me hints about our soft water and R O systems.   I've used AHW for years and will continue.

I get my AC checked out every year before summer and have used many different companies to take care of this task. I have to say, I have saved 1st Choice Mechanical in my contacts on my phone after today's visit. Tim showed up right on time, kept me in the loop as to what he and his trainee were doing and even showed me some tips to keep my unit running efficiently (no other company I have used have done that). They were courteous and covid safe. No mess after their work, it's like they weren't even here! I will definitely call on them again for next years service or any service in between! We have had these guys out two times to help with our AC units and they are amazing! We had two new units installed a few years back and I only wish we knew about Boldt before and had them take care of our install as well. These guys are really responsive, on time and quick with the repairs. Pricing is very fair also. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Everything about the experience was perfect. We came home around midnight to our AC blowing hot air. I immediately set about looking at options to call on a Sunday after midnight. Johnny's popped up on yelp with impressive reviews and I decided to set my alarm for 6am to call rather than trying in the middle of the night. If I were in AC repair that sounds like a much better time!  Johnny picked up right away and gave me a time frame of 9am. I explained the issue and that my husband said the condenser wasn't working. Johnny gave advice that we could let it blow air but to turn it off outside. About 10 minutes later he called back to say he could be come to me first and would be over in 10 minutes. Sure enough he showed up with a team member found the capacitor wasn't working and had a new part installed and was on his way by 6:50. Cold air abounds and Johnny's info is in the hands of everyone I know.

If only all contractors could be like Hays...  *sigh*

My HVAC system, while I'm sure worked fabulously when it was installed in my home in 1992, had slowly become my little housing nightmare.  Like clockwork, it would crap out on Christmas Day, or July 4.  After spending too much money band-aiding it over a few years, it was time to replace the system.

I had Hays provide a quote, along with 2 other contractors.  I ended up selecting Hays, and besides going back to my natural hair color, it's been one of the best decisions of my life.

I was given a firm date and time for my install, and sure enough, the crew showed up on time, ready to work.  It was incredibly well orchestrated.  It's not like they arrived in waves, and stood around on the driveway, waiting for direction.  Every person who showed up knew exactly what to do, and set to work doing just that.  It was quite something to watch, actually.

8 hours later, I had a brand new HVAC system.  And, they even cleaned the floors.  lol

The owner, Chris, came towards the end of the install, and I thought that was a really nice touch.  How many owners actually bother to check on installs anymore?  I had my pool redone, and never saw anyone above the project manager.  So, it meant a lot.

Since the install was completed, I received a few initial follow-up calls from Hays to make sure everything was working fine, and I was happy.  The sales person came a week later to take heating/cooling measurements, to make sure the system was calibrated properly (!).  Better yet, since it's been about a year since the install, the girls in the office actually call me to set up my scheduled service appointments.  I don't remember these things, and if you miss your appointments, it voids your warranty, so I love that the employees stay on top of this for me.

The system itself works perfectly (nothing stops a Trane!  lol), and my bills are 25-30% less per month than what I paid with my old, tired system.  

I couldn't be happier with the experience with Hays, and I have such peace of mind knowing I can rely on them in the future.

Cannot give this local company enough compliments for its gold standards in customer service! They will go above and beyond for the customer. I have a rental property which needed an AC replacement, and needed prompt and reliable service. The tenant was not the most hospitable, but Randy, one of the co-owners of the company, was extremely professional in inspecting the property and getting back to me with his recommendations. Their pricing is extremely fair, but the communication and trustworthiness with their customers is what will always bring back repeat clients! So many businesses could learn from them! I am late in writing this review. Cool Zone installed a new HVAC unit in August 2019. They gave me a great price and warranty but their service went above and beyond. They deserve 6 stars if I could. They also provided portable coolers while our unit was on order and installed. I was a Realtor for many years and dealt with many contractors, Cool Zone is one of the best from my experience. They did everything they could to make the installation as perfect as possible. Danette responds to calls quickly as does David and the contractors. I would not hesitate to use them again or refer them.

My evap motor finally failed and found Arctic Fox via the web. Showed up during the scheduled time and confirmed the motor needed replacement. Immediately after installation, a noticeable hum was coming from the motor as well as heard throughout the house. Arctic Fox returned the motor and installed another and the hum was still there. Obviously, no noise was heard from the motor before. The tech attempted several adjustments to the tension on the belt but still a noticeable hum and that is where it was left. Considering the cost and getting a new motor that sounded worse than the first, the service was sub-standard. The tech was there to install a motor and that happened. But, to troubleshoot with the customer interest in mind..unsatisfied. Over the week-end, my neighbor and I spent no more than an hour determining that the problem wasn't with the motor but with the vibration itself. We tightened the tension and the hum was gone. Arctic Fox will do the job it's called out to do but beyond that, doing the job right, not impressed. That might be enough for some, but based on my first experience with Arctic Fox, it will be my last

One of my AC's went out on my short-term rental. Christine and Dave have been a trusted partner, helping implement a short-term solution to keep my guests cool while we wait on parts for my new installation. I'm happy to give my business to such a reliable and trustworthy company. Highly recommend!

Dukes of Air are amazing!! First they drive a really cool orange van or truck. It reminds me if dukes of hazard. Of course that was on purpose on their part :). Every time I have needed service they were able to get someone out to me same day. I'm in AZ without AC, yes I need same day service and they delivered. Always friendly staff when I call and the techs that arrive are super knowledgeable. Tom was awesome and got something done for me that wasn't even ac related. Well kind of .... my Ac wasn't working as the breaker was tripping very frequently. Frequent enough that I couldn't cool the house down. Tom came out and my ac was fine. Instead it was my circuit breaker. It needed replacement.  He completed the job. Went out purchased the breaker and took care of my problem. The best service from an AC company I have ever received bar none. Well deserved of my review and the 5 stars.

I have dealt with about 4 different HVAC companies in the past 2 years, all of which were disappointing. My heater suddenly broke and was tasked with finding another company. I contacted David early on a Saturday morning and had a response within 15 minutes and then he was over about 2 hours later. He took videos to show me what was wrong of my unit in the ceiling which was great as I knew I could trust what he was working on. He went out of his way to go pick up a necessary part from the manufacturer and still come back and fix my heater the same day. He kept the house clean while he worked and then at the end of his work he walked me through a detailed report of his findings and set aside the broken parts to show me exactly what was wrong. I will certainly count on him for further work!

I really had a good experience with these guys. We installed two AC units, a 5 ton and a 2 ton plus 2 new furnaces. First of all they did a good job, everything neat and clean and made sure everything was working right when they left. The company employees were wonderful to deal with. Equally important to me was that they were really knowledgeable. I am integrating the new HVAC system with a new solar system. There are a number of engineering considerations when you do that. Their knowledge of HVAC systems was really a help, and what they didn't know, they found out for me. Nicole sold us the equipment and Craig led the installation crew. Both great.

It's hard to find trustworthy HVAC companies in the Phoenix area these days. Chase came out and quickly diagnosed and fixed a clogged condensate line. Scheduling was easy, he came out when promised, and the pricing was upfront and fair. Cave Creekers are fortunate to have such an honest and ethical local HVAC business!

Fast service and he was so HONEST. One of our units went out and our home warranty wouldn't get someone out till Monday. We called Alan and he was out within an hour and a half. He explained everything to us and made sure we understood what we needed and why. If we would have waited till Monday it would have been 1500 or more! SO GLAD we called him. He had the parts we needed and it took less than a hour. Thanks Alan!

The experience working with Ideal Energy to correct our dated builder grade duct system was amazing. From the beginning to end every individual team member excelled at there position for the front desk, duct design, to the 2 day installation. Most impressive was the installation team. Mikie Weaver and his crew were like the NASCAR crew of ductwork! There efficiency, communication, cleanliness, detail oriented service was exemplary.
