Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in United States

They quoted me $1775 for a blower motor for my air conditioning unit. I thought that was too expensive so I started calling other companies with the part number that I needed. I found two different companies that would do it for a lot less. One for $750 and one for $650 (both 5 star rated companies on yelp). I told Larson air this over the phone and she said it was because they have a warranty on their part. I told her having a warranty on your part and labor for something that would take 1-2 hours to put in costs $1000.  She didn't really want to talk to me anymore and gave me the serial # of my unit that I asked for.   They told me over the phone when I first hired them but they have a great reputation and never try to rip anybody off that's why they charge an $80 service fee that they don't take out if you actually get  your air conditioner fixed.  So I decided to go with them because they have such great reviews on yelp. I will never use this company again they tried to rip me off.  Find someone else.

I do a lot of research before making purchases so I have reviewed the best type of water softener to buy as well as companies for 2 months prior to settling on American Home Water as one company to contact and knowing I wanted a Clack or Fleck unit.

Tom called me after i sent a message from their website and gave me information on the units and a quote.  He was very pleasant and low-key in his approach.  He seemed proud of the service his company provided.

I spoke with 2 other companies as well but they immediately went into sales pitches and pushed hard to come out including 'I can be there in 20 minutes' from one guy.  One company pulls the 'best components' from various manufacturer's to build a unit.  That concerned me on how the warranty would work if not from a reputable company.  The prices for the unit & installation was $400-$600 more as well.  So we decided on AHW.

Gerardo called me just before 8am on the installation date and confirmed where we were located.  Since we are in Queen Creek it would take almost 1 1/2 hours to get to our place and he was right on time.  He was friendly, professional and efficient.  He set up the unit and explained how it worked as well as when to add salt, etc.

He asked me how I heard about the company and when I explained I found them on Yelp he told me that Yelp members get a discount so our bill was even less than what I was quoted!  

It is great to know you can still find companies like AHW out there.  Good service that they are proud of and they do air conditioning as well so I'll keep them on my list!

So professional! I was able to schedule an service appointment online. On the day of service, I received two phone calls letting me know that they were understaffed and apologizing for the delay. I also got a text when the tech (Tim) was on his way. When he arrived, he did a great job explaining everything to me and asking questions. After the routine maintenance, he sat down with me and went over my options for my (very old) AC unit - breaking down the cost of repairs versus total replacement. He was friendly and efficient!

By far the best experience I've had with AC HVAC company in AZ. After trying so many companies where I just felt down right taken advantage of,  I found Boldt a couple years back and I am so grateful. They have come out so quickly and got my AC up and running for minimal expenses each visit maybe 3 times over  4 years now.  Saving us thousands since we were told by two different companies it was unfixable and we needed a whole new AC. So if you need a genuine company that cares about their clients call BOLDT.  Often you speak with the owners who are the absolute best !

Imagine that the NPR 'Car Talk' guys showed up to your house to help you out at the worst time.  That's exactly how it is with Johnny's.  We called and within 1 hour they were up on our roof trouble-shooting the problem.  Johnny wouldn't give up on our 15 yr old unit and in the end, we have that same unit blowing cold air.  We won't call anyone else for our future needs!  Thanks guys!

Very professional and quick. I called first thing in the morning and was able to get an appointment that day. Also they were an hour earlier then originally planned but called to make sure it was okay first. Which was awesome when your ac unit is not working in the summer in Phoenix the earlier the better. And our technician was great! Frank was polite and got the job done fast. He was excellent at explaining to me what the problem was and gave me a few options for repairs. He went above and beyond getting our two units working perfectly and the expensive was less then expected. I also found it very useful that he gave me some tips on monthly maintenance I can be doing to keep my units running more efficiently. Being a first time home owner I really appreciated this. I will be using Hays for any of my future ac/heater needs.

This business does not want to communicate via Yelp. It wasn't a good fit I guess? Contacted this business for an HVAC service quote at my remodel. In the screenshot you can see I replied with the requested information and a wide open schedule.

Dave came by the evening I called to give an estimate on a new unit. Of four estimates, his was the lowest. I don't usually go with the lowest, but I checked him out with BBB and Contractors and besides he's in my neighborhood. He and his crew did a great job, quick and clean. He also added dampers, moved the air handler up and over for easier filter access and sealed some areas that my previous AC guys had created. At no extra charge. Now all areas of the house are comfy and quiet. Great guys!

Our HVAC had issues and Steve was quick to find the issue. I highly recommend this company for AC issues.

They found what was wrong with my A/C and fixed it. The price didn't seem outrageous or anything compared to how much time and effort was put into the repair. I would recommend and hope to see them again if I have any future A/C issues.

My A/C went out at the end of April. I searched Yelp for a heating/cooling contractor in April. There were numerous companies within 20 miles of my house but what initially caught my eye about the Dukes of Air was the fact that they had over 100 (5 star) reviews on here. That was far an away more reviews than any other contractor. I decided to give them a call. They sent a tech out to take a look and give an estimate. Robert came out and he was very friendly and very knowledgable. I was pretty sure going into this that I was probably gonna have to get a new system so I was prepared for that. Robert did say that the control board was shot and he could fixit but it was just delaying the inevitable so I asked for my options on a new system. He laid it out for me and I chose a mid level (16 seer) system. Before he left he got me up into the attic and pointed out some issues with how the original system was installed and explained why and how they would install the new system to make it work more efficiently.  When it came time to schedule the install, he said it would be two weeks before the install could happen. I was nervous because it was starting to get hot out. He said he knew it wasn't ideal but when he left he promised to return within the hour for some portable units that I could use till the install happened. True to his word, he returned home I about 30 minutes with two LG portable AC units, one for each floor. It wasn't an ideal situation but it made the two weeks bearable.

A little bit more than two months later and I am loving my new a/c unit. It keeps the house cool and it runs for significantly less time than the old unit which was on constantly.  I'm also really digging the Wifi thermostat.

Looking for an AC contractor? These guys are great. They are honest and they take great pride in their work. I will be using them in the future. Oh yeah, their work trucks look like the General Lee. What more could you want?

So I wake up on a Sunday morning and it's 91 in my house... I first called a large chain AC place and briefly spoke with a receptionist/scheduler. Was given a 5 hour time frame and just didn't feel she (the company) really cared. I then decided to try someone else and I could not be more pleased with who I called!
David (the owner of Biltmore Mechanical H&C) picked up, very pleasant (again calling on a Sunday morning...) right from the get go. He was already on a call and gave me a 2 hour window (1-3); I said I'll take it, but earlier the better. Come 11am he stated he was able to finish the other job quicker than expected and could be over sooner.
11:30; David is here and in less than 1 hour, my AC was running again! Bad wiring led to compressor not kicking on/cooling. He checked  all aspects of outdoor unit (Freon levels, ensure equipment was working properly, etc.). He probably could have upsold me on something I didn't need to make an extra buck, but he didn't and I am very thankful for that (as I'm no millionaire...). He explained everything in a friendly / professional manner and I am so thankful that once again, myself and my dog are cool! Just in time, as it's about to be 115 on Thursday.

Usually when I read a review, I am still a little skeptical. I have to say choosing Bumble Bee Air Conditioning to fix my A/C didn't disappoint me. First off, I called Bumble Bee and spoke with Lisa. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable on the phone. I instantly had a very good feeling.

I explained my A/C problem and Lisa said it could be one of two things. It wasn't more than an hour or so later when the technicians arrived at my home. I explained the situation and right away Ryan and Bronson were up on the roof to inspect and diagnose the problem.

I was presented with an itemized list (with prices) for an indoor fan motor, contactor, and coil cleaning. I was also shown a detail picture of what was wrong and how nasty the coils were. Ryan explained how the cleaning would be done and also informed me that he found the fan motor replacement at a very reasonable price.

I was like OK go for it!  

Have you ever had service men come over and say that they need to go get a part etc...and sucker you by their hourly rate, gas or mileage fees.

NOT Bumble Bee. They are honest, fair, professional, no up-selling, and no I'll tell you what, we have a special... type of BS. While one technician went to pick up the part(s), the other was up on the roof, removing the bad parts, cleaning the coils etc...

As soon as the part came all that was left to do was the install and they were done. At this point I was shown a picture of the end result. Ryan went above and beyond his original quote and cleaned out the condensation line that was clogged and cleaned the condenser coils at no additional cost while waiting for the part to arrive.

I'm not someone that writes reviews. I personally called Lisa to express my all-around satisfaction. I HIGHLY recommend Bumble Bee Air Conditioning to anyone that needs service, repair or replacement.

Fabulous company.  Chase was the 8th person who came out to replace my air conditioner. Six gave quotes. My maintenance company said I was out of freon and for $3500 he could see if he could find the leak.  Curtis came in checked the air conditioner and within 20 minutes said he found the leak, didn't see any other issues and for $1500 I had air almost immediately.  He is honest and interested in the care of his customer.  He now has a loyal customer.  No wonder Cave Creek Cooling has a 5 star rating.

Quick, honest, affordable and efficient service!  My Air Conditioner broke during this extreme heat and Alan's Air was out in a jiffy. They showed up as scheduled, with masks (which had to be horrible in this heat) and had everything repaired in less than an hour. I will definitely use them for any future needs. I only wish all service calls went like this.

Ideal Energy is AMAZING!!! I had the company come out and bid the work for my AC, duct work, and insulation. They were extremely professional, competitively priced, clean, on time, and did QUALITY work. I wish I could post pics to show my SRP scorecards and the quality of the work, but I'll summarize. In July 2012, before installation of the new AC (Trane) and duct work, my home had a scorecard rating of 10 (least efficient), and in August I had dropped to a 4 (in 1 month), and now consistently receive scores of 2-3. My home is 2 stories and approximately 2000 sq ft w/ no pool. My bills in 2012 went from $380 (July) to $215 (August) to $190 (September), and in 2011 my bills were $395 (July) to $470 (August) to $505 (September). The owners of Ideal Energy LLC also took their time to research all of the government/energy credits and assisted me in making the process simple to receive my credits/refunds. Wouldn't choose another company in the valley! Cheers!

I hired these guys to replace my water heater.  The job was done by Travis, who was very polite and friendly.  The truck was clearly marked, it didn't take him much time, and he hauled away the old water heater with no problem.  I probably could have found a cheaper place if I shopped around a little more, but overall, I was very satisfied with ProSkill plumbing.

Such wonderful people, they were extremely thorough, and gave excellent customer service!

When I received a call to set up an appointment my house was 88 degrees and they told me they couldn't have a technician out until the next day. I went ahead and set up the appointment for the next day and had to take time off work. 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment I received a voicemail that said they were overbooked and would have to reschedule.  Haven't rescheduled yet
