Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in United States

We are selling our house and needed to fix a couple things with our HVAC unit. I contacted J&M Sunday night through Yelp and they scheduled me right away and were out first thing Monday morning. They checked out the things listed in our inspection report and addressed what needed to actually be fixed. Didn't pressure us into anything extra. Simple and affordable and fast couldn't ask for anything better!

I purchased my existing HVAC from another family-run company, had them do periodic maintenance and was satisfied with their service over the years. The last time they came, there was a rather heavy-handed upsell attempt, complete with visual aids in giant font, encouraging me to install items to protect me from expensive disaster. I asked a knowledgeable friend what he thought: snake oil, he said. Deciding to try an alternative company for my winter checkup, I read Air Time Heating and Cooling's terrific Yelp reviews. Brian scheduled me for an appointment, which I had to later change on short notice. Although it was the busy holiday season, he rescheduled me promptly. Grant arrived at my door on time. He worked diligently, was pleasant to have around, answered my questions with his extensive knowledge, and gave me efficiency tips. And no upsell attempts! Based on this very positive experience, I will continue to call Air Time.

Our heater went out and it is getting colder. Reached out today and they were able to get someone out within a few hours. He quickly figured out what is wrong and gave me options (buy the parts that I could get cheap for cheap parts or just buy the quality parts he had on hand).  I felt he was very honest with me and willing to work within my needs. I have had issues with AC companies in the past saying they fixed the issue when they didn't, refusing to come back, etc.  I will absolutely be sticking to these guys in the future.

Our AC unit finally went on its last leg after 35+ yrs of serving us in AZ heat. We called at least 5 different places for quotes; had face to face with all who came, and decided to go with Chris W (the owner). He was professional, courteous, prompt and knowledgeable. He worked with us on getting a 3 phase unit installed as requested, unlike others who tried to sell us the 1 phase. His quote was what expected, no surprises after unit was installed. We are happy with the new unit and his professionalism. Highly recommended!

This company was referred to us by our electrician as our A/C had been out for 36 hours, the company the home warranty referred was not available for Four more days! I called Brian in desperation, advising him of our situation.  Even though they were booked for the day he said he would get someone out to us today!  Only minutes after I hung up with him the technician called me and said they were on their way, I nearly cried.  Enrique showed up as expected and reviewed the situation.  They were very kind, courteous and professional while in our home, they advised me of the situation with photos taken of our unit.  They said they could repair it right away, and they did!!  So now, I am so thankful we called and received the recommendation because they were absolutely wonderful!  I absolutely recommend A Quality HVAC for their work, professionalism and compassion!  A+++

Our AC wouldn't turn on and Manny came out to take a look at our unit. He arrived promptly on the early side of hr 2 hour window they gave us. Called ahead before he arrived. Very friendly. First thing he did was ask if the batteries had been changed in our thermostat. Oops! A quick change of batteries fixed the problem and our AC turned on right away. He was very kind not to charge us for coming out. He did recommend we get our AC looked at (we've been neglecting it since 2018 when we moved in) but he was not pushy about it at all. I really appreciate when a business waives fees as a courtesy when something like this happens. We'll be reaching out to Arcadia Air and asking for Manny when we do need service!

Andrew came by to give us an estimate on replacing our old 20 year old HVAC units. He was professional and courteous. He was very thorough, and explained things very well. Andrew made a very good case for going with Desert Diamond.

Def. recommend this company.  We broke a heat record day before yesterday and go figure my A/C went out.  First place from home warranty company couldn't be here for a week!  Upon making an exception request, I was assigned to North Valley Mechanical.  They called within an hour and were here same day within 5 hours.  Technician Zach showed up, diagnosed the problem immediately as a broken fan, had it temp fixed within 15 min, told me he was ordering a new fan blade and would call when it's in.  Within 24 hours he called back and they showed up this afternoon to swap it out.  Chris K. Showed up and was just as efficient and thorough as Zach.  Was not up sold anything and the entire problem was resolved very quickly!  They will be my new go to for A/C issues!  Thanks North Valley!  Please keep up with integrity and your service standards!

Brett, I can't thank you enough for going the extra mile today.  Today I called Arizona A/C Man after waiting for two days in this crazy Arizona heat to have someone come and look at my HVAC. One company Admiral Air Conditioning & Heat ,LLC came out and spent less than ten minutes total assessing my issues and said I needed an electrician and left $65.00 later. The next day Sun Belt Electric came out to resolve my issues, but didn't bring a ladder tall enough to accomplish the task.  They said they would find someone who could... they didn't.  I was extremely frustrated. I called Brett at 4:55pm and he arrived at my house by 5:30 pm. Seriously?!! Who does that? No one that is who!....no one gives that type of personalized service and quick response.  Brett was very thorough and very much unlike the other two companies who came out to resolve my cooling issues but couldn't. He had three different sets of ladders, all the tools and equipment needed to repair my HVAC and get it running again. The funny thing is, it wasn't my HVAC. Someone had taken shortcuts previously and had created electrical issues where none existed previously. Arizona A/C Man identified the problem, corrected it and charged me a small nominal fee for his efforts. Lastly, and this impressed me to no end, it was on the gusty, thunderous, stormy side today.  I would have understood fully if he would have suggested another date and time, but Brett went up on the roof regardless. Tonight at 11:11 pm I sit in an extremely cooled environment and ready for a great nights sleep! Thank you sir, for having integrity, a phenomenal work ethic and a sincere desire to help someone in need.

Amazing! From the beginning of this journey as renters trying to handle our unit going out until completion, A/C Doctors has been amazing! Jose V and Logan came out to replace our entire upstairs system. They were prompt, they were friendly, and most importantly extremely professional. They were quick and assured that everything was working properly before they left. They cleaned up after themselves and were enthusiastic about answering any questions I had. If the remainder of their staff is anything like Jose and Logan, this is an amazing company and you will be in great hands!

Moved into a new home and needed some electrical work done. They finished in a reasonable time and the price was very fair. I'd definitely recommend them for my future projects!

I was without air conditioning downstairs, I called first thing Monday morning and the owner answered the phone immediately. After I scheduled the appointment I decided I should have the two units yearly maintenance done at the same time if possible - and sure enough they made time to add that service too!
The owner was friendly and was able to squeeze me in with his  Technician Johnny. Johnny was on time, friendly and fixed the problem first try. Did the Maintenance on both units in no time . All told I was thrilled I tried them and they were EXTREMELY affordable. I will definitely be calling them for all of my repairs for my air conditioning and heating unit in the future. I loved their honesty and integrity.

I had a huge problem and was getting frustrated with getting different answers from different AC companies.  Called and spoke with Kevin and he provided excellent customer service, I would highly recommend this company!

Last night we came home from work at 8 PM and our AC was not working and our Nest thermostat was saying there was no power to the thermostat.  The circuit was not tripped, so I knew we had a serious problem. I called American Cooling and Heating, and they answered the phone right away. Tim arrived at our house within an hour, and discovered that our air handler disconnect switch was bad.  This is literally just a standard light switch that turns the unit off, and he doesn't have one on his truck because it's not something an air conditioning company usually deals with. In fact, he said he has never seen this switch fail in all his years of work! Fortunately this is a $2 part that I can install myself, so I went to buy a light switch to replace the faulty one.  I bought it, I installed it, and the AC came back on right away.  Thanks for the excellent troubleshooting Tim!

Fountain Hills homeowner   Our 14 year old ac unit needed replacement. We sought bids from three companies and all three bids were in the same range but we chose Howard Air due to the solution suggested by the technician that called on us to make the bid.  They replaced the unit and we asked that they make the installation more discrete with less visible wires, etc.   The boss at Howard Air responded, sent his team and installation is now perfect. it's important to learn how a company treats you when things are not quite right.  Very impressed with the team and the culture of treating the customer.  Would highly recommend

I have never been more disappointed by a company who claims they are professionals and do things the right way, not the easy way! That's a bunch of bullsh*t! We scheduled a rejuvenation and have had nothing but problems with our ac unit since they worked on it. We had no problems before they touched the unit and since then, we have handed over $1,800.00 of our hard earned money to this company. The capacitors tested fine and the next day while on vacation with the family, my mother in law calls us saying there's a burning wire smell coming through the vents and it's 83 degrees in the house while the thermostat is set at 78 degrees. It put me in a panic thinking my house was at risk for a fire. They came out the next day and replaced both capacitors for $505.00! The following day our ac goes out once again and now we are replacing the OEM blower motor for $1,160.00. We have to wait a few days for the blower motor part to be available for installation. In the meantime, the technician is going to install a higher (rescue motor, it's the only motor they carry on their trucks) output motor while the OEM motor is being shipped. Now, I am thinking this will only cause something else to fail because he's not installing the proper blower motor. I feel it's just another way for them to steal even more of our hard earned money. Every time they have come out they pitch their Sadie guard dog protection and try to upsell us to purchase a new unit. It seems like we are being severely taken advantage of. I feel if they owned an auto maintenance shop and I had them change my vehicles oil, I would just leave with several oil leaks. It's a damn shame! Please go elsewhere with your hard earned money people. Don't be scammed like us.
