Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in United States

Tracy was very prompt and found some issues during a routine HVAC inspection and tune-up on two of my properties recently. Explained what was wrong. The bills were very reasonable. He is my go-to HVAC man for all my properties now.

This is our first house (built in 1996) and we've been wondering when the HVAC would finally give out.  Over the years I've troubleshot the equipment myself.  Changing capacitors and the condenser fan myself (right after some other company would come out and scare my wife to death with their repair prices).  I've always checked the AC in the off season regularly to make sure it was still working and one day in February (when it was still cold out) the system wasn't putting out cool air, just room temperature air.  I could hear the condenser was no longer running.  This HVAC was the original one installed in the house (a 20 year old Trane).

We knew this would be a major expense so I turned to my church bulletin because I want to support local, Christian business owners whenever I can so I gave Brian a call.  I wasn't going to call that other company that happens to come by with their horror story pricing.

I contacted Brian I think on a late Saturday night by email.  He replied by email Sunday and we met after work on Monday.  I had done some research on units, and warranties and he gave us an education on the current situation with manufacturers to help us make our decision.  We decided to stick with Trane.  It helped that the Trane distributor is three blocks from our house.  So he was able to obtain the equipment right away and came back the next day.  The work crew was great and it wasn't bad at all spending the couple days at home while they got the job done.

This work was done a year ago and I want to say Tuesday they spent removing the old system and cleaning the lines.  Then they had other appointments that day to go to.  They then came back first thing the next morning and installed the new system.  

We paid a very competitive price.  Much better than it could have been. Brian handled all the rebate paperwork and we received our refund in a month or so.  It's a year later and the heating and AC work great.  

I'm glad our HVAC went out in February so we weren't uncomfortable with the temperature, or having to wait a long time for installation as I know the summer months are typically when HVACs break down and schedules get busier.

The only thing they dropped the ball on was we wanted all the ducting checked.  I knew for a fact that the ducting right where it connects to the unit in the attic had a huge tear in it that I had run some duct tape over.  I wanted them to inspect all the ducting for damage and repair.  This was never addressed, nor cleaning it out in any way.  So now I have to find another company to do this because I guess they won't.

A BIG shout-out to M&R Refrigeration! I came house after being away to find that our house was 84° with the thermostat set at 76° and the outside A/C unit running hard. I called M&R Refrigeration at 7:30pm with outside temperature hovering around 106° Matthew the owner said he would be out in 30 min. he arrived on time and determined my problem in a short amount of time and had me up and cooling all for the price of a very fair service call fee, no after hours charge. A Quality HVAC Services lives up to their name. I had a different company come out for a heating repair and they literally tried to charge me nine times more than A Quality HVAC charged me. What does this tell us? It tells us that A Quality HVAC is honest and didn't try to gouge me by making it seem like I needed a bigger repair than I did. Mitch was my technician and I specifically ask for him by name for all future maintenance. He is friendly, has integrity, and explains things clearly. These guys are the best.

Our AC wouldn't turn on and Manny came out to take a look at our unit. He arrived promptly on the early side of hr 2 hour window they gave us. Called ahead before he arrived. Very friendly. First thing he did was ask if the batteries had been changed in our thermostat. Oops! A quick change of batteries fixed the problem and our AC turned on right away. He was very kind not to charge us for coming out. He did recommend we get our AC looked at (we've been neglecting it since 2018 when we moved in) but he was not pushy about it at all. I really appreciate when a business waives fees as a courtesy when something like this happens. We'll be reaching out to Arcadia Air and asking for Manny when we do need service!

Contacted them about a rusty faucet that is stuck on, they replied within 30 minutes and within 1 & 1/2 hours the plumber has replaced it with a brand new one. Easiest transaction ever! Thank you Robert you were awesome!

I had two heating/cooler units replaced in the summer to find out they did not replace the old cracked thermostat wiring from the old units.  The old units were 18 years old.  The wiring was cracked all the way down and had tape in some places to hold the casing together.  There was no way that wiring cracked in less then six months.  I called them to find out why the wiring was not replaced and I was not given a good reason.  I was going to have to have to pay more money to have it replaced but when I called other companies and they said it would have been included in their install...which why would it not be?  It also cost me less to have another company replace the wiring then it would have with them.  Well one unit quit a few days ago to find out it was the bad wiring that caused it.  I had used DDM for several years and didn't trust that my unit was being maintained right each time.  I even had one of their service techs ask me how long it had been since I had it cleaned b/c it as so dirty and it had been just a few months before.  I should have changed years ago but I kept with them.  You are trusting the people working for these companies to do a good job and be honest about things.  They have many good reviews but that has not been my experience.  I hate leaving a bad review but I am so disappointed in the service I received for a big purchase that I feel I need to let people know of my experience and they can make their own decision from the good and bad reviews.  The staff are very nice but I paid good money to have a good job done.  I also feel they didn't try to make it right and I am the one who had to deal with a problem that should not have happened this soon.   Lesson learned...when you suspect problems early on get someone new.  You might have to pay a little more but it will save you headaches.

When they say they warranty their work, they really do! We needed a slight change to the original work (not an error, just some tweaking), and Dave came straight out to help. He found out that we were low on Freon, and that there was a leak from when the original builders installed our unit. He hooked us up with what we needed for a great price. AND fixed our leak for free!! Always such a relief to find great companies to work with. :)

Good price and Scott the electrician stayed with the job though it turned a little problematic until he solved it completely. Reliable, on time, professional. Would use again.

Excellent service, prompt responses and regular communication throughout the day.  Very good value for the level of service we had.  The tech was helpful and very quick with the repair that had our air going again in no time.  We really appreciate the prioritization and communication.  At the end of the day we are all customers for someone and expect to be treated well, we appreciated being treated like our needs mattered.  It is unfortunately great service is becoming more and more rare, but refreshing to see a home repair company that can be relied on.  Thank you on behalf of me and my family.  We will certainly use you again should the need arise!

Carlos and his partner came out on short notice after when we turned our unit on for the first time this season, only to find no cooling.  The techs were friendly, efficient, and best of all successful! We have cool air.

I called about 8 different HVAC companies on a Friday looking for someone that A. I could afford and B. could get my AC system installed within 24 hours! American Cooling and Heating met both requirements! I worked with Wayne from sales / estimating and gave him all my requirements via text over the phone. Now I have worked in the new home building industry for several years as buyer so I kinda knew what I needed. Wayne recommended a Frigidaire split system, 3.5 ton heat pump and air handler and we agreed on an out the door price. American Cooling and Heating beat everyone's price. A scheduler called me and we set up an appointment for early the next morning. American Cooling and Heating was swamped so they used a third party installation company that they are affiliated with called ASAP. The guys from ASAP showed up at 6:30 am right on time and did a great job installing the system. There was a slight problem with the original air handler they had but Wayne personally delivered a new air handler and got the job back on track. The professionalism and the level of customer service that American Cooling and Heating provided is unmatched in this industry . I would recommend this company to my Mother. They are that good! If your looking to replace your AC system or you just need service American Cooling and Heating and ASAP Cooling & Heating are the A-1 guys to go too.

We called these folks originally to have maintenance done on our 2 units. While the Tech was there he presented us with the maintenance agreement options and after discussing the details decided on the Deluxe level for each unit.

A little over a month later, our upstairs unit stopped cooling and the 110 degree temps were coming! I called Howard Air at 7pm the night the unit went down and they were at my house at my request, after 3pm the next day.

The tech found the problem which was some burned contacts. Replaced the contacts and the wires, and I paid $0 for the whole thing thanks to the Maintenance agreement!

It paid for itself in one call!

Love this company.  very professional.  This is why we call them when we have had a problem.  They are prompt to get out to us and fix our problems.  They don't sugar coat the issues and  take the time to make sure that we fully understand everything that is going on with the unit and what they are doing and why they are doing it.  We had to get a whole new AC and didn't even hesitate going with Goettl. I so recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you guys for being the best!!!!
