Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in United States

Tracy was very prompt and found some issues during a routine HVAC inspection and tune-up on two of my properties recently. Explained what was wrong. The bills were very reasonable. He is my go-to HVAC man for all my properties now.

On Friday, July 27th I arrived home to a house that seemed considerably warmer than usual. I checked the thermostat and it reads 89 degrees, but we normally have it set for 78. I'm like, oh shit, the AC is not working and here comes a hot weekend. I go straight to the computer, look on Yelp to see reviews for AC Repairs and find at the top of the list AirTime Cooling and Heating and start reading the reviews. I'm impressed, so I proceed and check their website... find a coupon, call the number and leave a voicemail message that I need help. About 15 minutes later I get a call back... I'm impressed again. I explain to Lowell my situation, he recommends I check my air filters, which I did - he was right they were bad and needed to be changed (I had totally spaced on how long it had been since I last changed them). Lowell told me how normally their weekend service calls are much more $ than a weekday and they were booked up (being that we're approaching 4:30pm on a Friday), but he'd still give me their special $59 rate for a Saturday morning service call... that was great! So per Lowell I changed the air filter, turned the AC off, let it set for about an hour, turned it back on and the house started to cool off a bit to where we could manage through the night.
    Morning came and Josh arrived. He and I climbed on our roof and both of us were shocked at how cemented up our AC was. It was like someone had plastered all around the doors so we couldn't get into the controls. We had some insulation work done about 1 1/2 years ago and don't know if they did it or the previous owners, but Josh had to use a saw to open the doors to our almost 8 year old York AC. As we're on the roof and he's checking the thermostat the fan dies... it literally konked out as we're standing there. Well... that's pretty much it, time for a new AC. We sit down and discuss our options and choose a Trane HP 15 Seer. Because I had read previous reviews, done some online research and my wife had spoken to some people she knows who have had to replace their AC units recently we were confident we were getting the best deal from AirTime without having to call around, including a $1000 rebate and $100 coupon I found on their website (I always look for coupons!).
     So... here we are, Saturday and we've no AC and it's hot out... well AirTime provided us with two portable AC's for our home. We have 2 boys and 3 dogs, and we needed to keep cool... this is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
     On Sunday night, yes, Sunday night... Brian the owner came to the house to measure for the new AC to be installed on Monday. Again I joined him on the roof to confirm what they'll be doing to remove the old unit and install the new one. While he was measuring I decided, since I'm up there to trim some branches off a tree that was hanging over the front of the house and Brian came over and helped me!!!
     Now it's Monday and time for the new installation... we've got Scott installing the new control panel inside, a different Josh and Sterling doing the install on the roof. It was cool to watch the crane lift the old one off the roof and the new one up. It only took a couple hours once the crane arrived. The guys were very nice and explained what I needed to know about the unit.
     Tuesday, Brian the owner called me to ask how everything went and if the house felt good and explained the warranty info would be in the mail soon once they do all the registration for us.
      I took a few days to write this review because I wanted to make sure everything has been good with the AC and it is. I can honestly say that I am soooo glad I read the very positive reviews on Yelp and called AirTime because they truly have provided us with excellent customer service and a nice cool house again. Had Matthew out to install new A/C unit. My house is old so it had some issues. He listened to my concerns and did a great job fixing everything. He is polite, easy to communicate with and always on time. Always responds to phone calls immediately. Worked with me on the price so I could get a more energy efficient unit within my  budget. He was good to reassure me about the warranty. Did not want a company to skip out on me. I trust Matthew and would feel  comfortable referring him to friends and family. I had several estimates and am so glad I found him.

A year ago I had another company tell me that I needed to replace my 12 year old Trane heat pump because I had a Freon leak.  I'm not here much in the summer and I have a split system so I put it off.  When I came back into town in November everything was working OK and I got good heat out of that unit all winter.

I was due a servicing so I called CW based on their reviews and I'm glad I did.  Rick came out and spent almost 2 hours checking out and cleaning both heat pumps.  He couldn't find a leak and said everything was working fine and should continue to work OK for the foreseeable future.  

I like honest people.

I had my AC go out around 11pm. We had my daughters birthday party scheduled with a bunch of kids staying the night so I needed someone out quick! I looked on Yelp and seen the reviews so I called around midnight and left a message. I didn't expect a call right back but I did, they set up a time for first thing in the morning. Tech came out and made quick work of troubleshooting the issue. I have worked with AC units before so I pretty much knew what the problem was, but had to work on the other side of town that day. I was nervous to have someone look at it because of horror stories that I have heard AC companies ripping customers off. I couldn't have been more pleased to hear the low cost of the repair and timely matter that it was done! I would highly recommend this company and will be my primary service provider moving forward.

These guys responded very quick and came out same day to fix my AC problem. They gave a second opinion to a different company and fixed the issue.

Can't say enough about the professionalism and service level of this family owned company. They fit me into their schedule on the same day I called, went above and beyond, and provided maximum transparency throughout the entire process. I will be using & recommending them for any future plumbing jobs.

When I called Desert Diamond I requested that an AC technician troubleshoot a recurring problem with my AC unit.  As the outside temp increased to 100 deg , the compressor would shut off intermittently and the air handler would continue to work.  Mario, the AC tech, arrived yesterday afternoon and most importantly he LISTENED to my description of the problem.  When he tested the unit's capacitor he noticed an irregularity that was only visible for a few seconds and then its functioning was back to normal.  With no pressure placed on me to purchase a new capacitor, he indicated that it could be contributing to the problem.  I authorized replacement of the part.  The result was amazing.  The home is cool, the AC compressor is working well and I'm a happy customer.  Thank you Desert Diamond for hiring this competent technician who listens!

Highly recommended for Cooling and Heating services! I just had a complete new system installed and I couldn't be more happier. The process was easy from start to finish. The prices were great along with the service I received. Personable, professional and reasonable.

My A/C stopped working on a Friday evening--I called my home warranty company who setup a ticket with North Valley Mechanical. This company is amazing! They came to my house and confirmed the A/C unit was working well--no issues! They looked at the thermostat which was very old and replaced that and then on a final check, started seeing issues with the voltage. They checked the electrical panel and said there was a sizzle sound when the breaker was turned on. They were not able to replace the breaker and said they would reach back out to the home warranty company to get an electrician for me. Literally five minutes later, I received an email from Sunbelt Electric and an appointment time. They came by today and fixed the electrical issue and the A/C started right up and cooled my house down from 91 degrees to 80 degrees and I'm the happiest person in Phoenix right now! Thanks for all you've done to help me North Valley Mechanical! You are truly top guns!

Can't recommend Brett highly enough - agree with all the other reviews. Great service; very knowledgeable, professional, nice/helpful and honest. Will be calling him with my future HVAC needs.

My AC stopped working over a week ago during a heat wave of temps up to 116. My property management team was being very slow and unresponsive but AC doctors went above and beyond making many calls to help sort the situation out. Once we finally got approval from my property management at 3 PM on Tuesday they were out at my house by 7am on Wednesday to replace the unit. Pablo and Herman were friendly, knowledgeable, fast and thorough. The whole team has been a pleasure to work with and I will always use them for my AC needs in the future!

Moved into a new home and needed some electrical work done. They finished in a reasonable time and the price was very fair. I'd definitely recommend them for my future projects!

Attempted to install new thermostat yesterday later on a Saturday things went sideways couldn't get new unit and then even old unit wouldn't turn on.  Freddy's came out promptly 1st thing Sunday morning very polite technician found a blown inline fuse and properly wired new thermostat works great well done Freddy's!

Short version: Friendly, professional and straight-forward. They quoted us a no-pressure very reasonable price for AC replacement. Highly recommend!

Long version:
Our AC stopped blowing cold air on a Saturday night (because of course it had to give out on a weekend). This was the only company (I had reached out to several claiming to be 24-7 response) not only to actually reply the same day but make time on their Sunday to take a look.  That alone is fantastic service!

As we knew from a fix last year the unit was on its last legs, we made the decision to replace the unit entirely (with absolutely no pressure from True North as they could technically fix the Freon leak we had). For a replacement, they quoted us below the price we were quoted by another company the year prior. Additionally they provided us a portable AC to use so my husband could stay home with our pups.

The install process was smooth and quick. The technician and owner both friendly and professional. We had a rain delay and they did their best to adjust accordingly (cranes are tricky to schedule in monsoon season!). We are very happy in our much cooler home thanks to True North

Recently found this company Four Seasons Home Services though Groupon to tune up and inspect my home A.C. unit.  It was starting to give me a problem.  Four Seasons sent two of their workers Chris and Carlos come out to my home. They did a great job, super honest and hard working guys. My A.C. needed a new motor and I ended up getting a one year service with Four Seasons cause they did good work. I trust that they will do good job in future for me. I super happy with their service and recommend this company to my friends and family giving to give them a chance to prove their work for you.

I had my rooftop AC replaced. I obtained 7 quotes.

I obtained several quotes from the AC companies that advertise heavily on TV. Not surprising their quotes were significantly higher (to cover their advertising costs).

I also obtained quotes from AC companies with strong online reviews. Only one company came somewhat close to American Cooling's price but couldn't match American Cooling's warranty.

American Cooling is run by Scot. He picks up the phone when you call. All the other companies I called had a dispatch person answering calls.

Scot has an extensive background in designing and installing large commercial AC jobs. So, residential work is very simple for him. He patiently answered all my questions and promptly responded, even on weekends. I'm so glad I went with Scot's recommendation on unit size and unit type. He didn't try to up-sell me (to make more money) and he didn't try to down-sell me to make a quick sale.

I would trust Scot to replace my elderly mom's AC and highly recommend him to my friends. He relies on word of mouth for business, not advertising. So, he has a strong interest to make sure his customers are happy.

Scott requires his installers to text him a complete set of photos of the finished work before the installer can leave. Scot makes sure the work is done right. He did just that for me. As soon as the work was done, Scot registered my unit.

My new AC unit is 4 months old now and it's keeping me nice and cool during this hot summer.

If you read this far... here's a tip. All AC brands, including Trane, use the same parts. Trane's advertising makes it seem like they're a premium brand.  As a result, they're able to charge a premium price. Scot does installs Trane. He quoted me the best price on a Trane unit but he quoted me an even better price on a RUUD unit. Very glad I went with the RUUD unit.

Thanks to the guys at Howard Air we are now comfortable and didn't have to spend a fortune.  We loved our sales guy, Scott.  He let us know what we needed and what our options were.  Thanks for all of the friendly and professional people that worked on our new HVAC system!

UPDATE:  I did receive a call from a representative in the company following my last review.  He was empathetic and even though the damage from the days of wasted time were already done at least he said it was a coaching opportunity.  It is good to hear they will address the problem.  Also, I would like to add that their technicians are all very competent.  I have always been impressed by their work.  By the way, their tech Mark who came out was phenomenal.  They have very hard working techs.  If I could give Mark six stars I would.  Between him and the person who talked to me about my experience they were able to raise the rating of my review.

We purchased a system through Goettl about a year ago.  The installation went alright and overall the experience has been positive but we have encountered severe issues with this company.  First there was some mixup multiple times during the initial part of the installation of the system.  I had to repeatedly communicate everything we ordered and it almost was not done correctly.  However, when it was done correctly they seem very prone to have severe miscommunication issues.  We had both an emergency plumbing issue this week and one regularly scheduled appointment for our AC maintenance.  The appointment for the plumbing appointment was a complete no show and the appointment for the maintenance yesterday was also a no show.  We rescheduled for today and it was nearly a no show as well.  However, the technician will not be at our house until nearly two hours after our scheduled appointment.  This is completely unacceptable as they already give such broad time windows.  To be late or to not show up during a four hour time window for a routine visit with no call is unacceptable.  I initiated contact most every time.  Also, what the representative said to me after the last phone call was upsetting.  She stated every appointment is simply a window time frame.  Yes I understand that but the fact is you are routinely late or did not show for each time frame you give.
