Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in United States

Tracy was very prompt and found some issues during a routine HVAC inspection and tune-up on two of my properties recently. Explained what was wrong. The bills were very reasonable. He is my go-to HVAC man for all my properties now.

This is our first house (built in 1996) and we've been wondering when the HVAC would finally give out.  Over the years I've troubleshot the equipment myself.  Changing capacitors and the condenser fan myself (right after some other company would come out and scare my wife to death with their repair prices).  I've always checked the AC in the off season regularly to make sure it was still working and one day in February (when it was still cold out) the system wasn't putting out cool air, just room temperature air.  I could hear the condenser was no longer running.  This HVAC was the original one installed in the house (a 20 year old Trane).

We knew this would be a major expense so I turned to my church bulletin because I want to support local, Christian business owners whenever I can so I gave Brian a call.  I wasn't going to call that other company that happens to come by with their horror story pricing.

I contacted Brian I think on a late Saturday night by email.  He replied by email Sunday and we met after work on Monday.  I had done some research on units, and warranties and he gave us an education on the current situation with manufacturers to help us make our decision.  We decided to stick with Trane.  It helped that the Trane distributor is three blocks from our house.  So he was able to obtain the equipment right away and came back the next day.  The work crew was great and it wasn't bad at all spending the couple days at home while they got the job done.

This work was done a year ago and I want to say Tuesday they spent removing the old system and cleaning the lines.  Then they had other appointments that day to go to.  They then came back first thing the next morning and installed the new system.  

We paid a very competitive price.  Much better than it could have been. Brian handled all the rebate paperwork and we received our refund in a month or so.  It's a year later and the heating and AC work great.  

I'm glad our HVAC went out in February so we weren't uncomfortable with the temperature, or having to wait a long time for installation as I know the summer months are typically when HVACs break down and schedules get busier.

The only thing they dropped the ball on was we wanted all the ducting checked.  I knew for a fact that the ducting right where it connects to the unit in the attic had a huge tear in it that I had run some duct tape over.  I wanted them to inspect all the ducting for damage and repair.  This was never addressed, nor cleaning it out in any way.  So now I have to find another company to do this because I guess they won't.

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company!

Good people - extremely professional and take the time to actually inspect everything and then walk you through what they found so you can understand. Not the cheapest I found out there, but chose them because they were the most professional and transparent and I wasn't disappointed. Bryan made sure everything was taken care of through the whole process.

Contacted to troubleshoot a recent installation. Came out next day. Charlie was detailed orientated and communicated in layman's terms. Reviewed everything and more while resolving the issue. Would highly recommend.

I used Desert Diamond's services a few years again on another home for an A/C replacement and was happy with their prompt service.

My review is for my most recent experience: My upstairs A/C went out and my tenant decided to call Desert Diamond for a repair. They were pretty prompt to come out (the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1) and look at our unit and assessed that a line was blocked, supposedly fixed that and recommended a new A/C. The A/C still wasn't working well after the repair and I just assumed that it was because I needed a new A/C unit ASAP. Their A/C quote prices were quite high, so I decided to get another quote for A/C. I got better quotes elsewhere and decided to go with another highly rated company. Since the other company provides a temp solution until they are able to install, they sent a tech out to find a solution for my tenant. Turns out the tech from Desert Diamond was wrong and there was a completely different issue (valve not working properly) than the one that he supposedly fixed. The tech from the other company had the A/C up and running with my current unit. After this experience, I recommend getting another opinion before being talked into a new A/C from Desert Diamond.

Highly recommended for Cooling and Heating services! I just had a complete new system installed and I couldn't be more happier. The process was easy from start to finish. The prices were great along with the service I received. Personable, professional and reasonable.

Def. recommend this company.  We broke a heat record day before yesterday and go figure my A/C went out.  First place from home warranty company couldn't be here for a week!  Upon making an exception request, I was assigned to North Valley Mechanical.  They called within an hour and were here same day within 5 hours.  Technician Zach showed up, diagnosed the problem immediately as a broken fan, had it temp fixed within 15 min, told me he was ordering a new fan blade and would call when it's in.  Within 24 hours he called back and they showed up this afternoon to swap it out.  Chris K. Showed up and was just as efficient and thorough as Zach.  Was not up sold anything and the entire problem was resolved very quickly!  They will be my new go to for A/C issues!  Thanks North Valley!  Please keep up with integrity and your service standards!

Excellent service, extremely competent & honest.  Very rare to find all three in one company. We've been using them for years, highly recommended.

They called my tenant 4x and showed up on the appointment for 16 minutes, before leaving because my tenant did not respond to the door.  They offered to go back and do the service again.

Moved into a new home and needed some electrical work done. They finished in a reasonable time and the price was very fair. I'd definitely recommend them for my future projects!

This is an updated review, our AC stopped working in the middle of June in Phoenix AZ. After some research I found a company called Larson. They had good reviews but when I spoke to them I felt like they were trying to sell this contract that I didn't want so that's when I found Freddy's online. I called Freddy on a Sunday morning and he explained that he was very busy, he could maybe see us in the later evening but if something changed he would let me know. 2 hours later (early afternoon) he called and said he was close by and he got to us early! After a short period of time he explained to me that he had pinpointed the problem. It was my coil that had a leak. I told him that coil had been replaced recently by Collins Comfort and instead of trying to sell me so he could do the work, he mentioned that I should call Collins Comfort first. He told me that Collins Comfort should come out and fix it for free. So I called and he was right. Collins Comfort explained to me that all the labor, parts and work are free of charge but there is no coil at the moment and that my AC would be down until they could get the coil from the manufacturer. Collins Comforts Technician said that there was nothing they could do and to get a hotel until the coil arrived. After 2 days in a hotel, Freddy called me to check up on the AC. I told him what was going on and he said he would stop by the house later. He showed up to our house with a plan to do a temporary fix until our part arrived. Something that Collins Comfort never mentioned. Freddy treated us like family. Freddy was always thinking about the best interest of his customer. Freddy never tried to take advantage of us he always gave us the best advice for our pockets even if that meant him not getting the job! Freddy honesty and integrity is something very hard to find now days. Our AC is still working perfectly on this temporary fix while we wait on our coil that still hasn't arrived and Freddy just called me again recently to see how our AC is doing. Thank you Freddy! You saved us! You saved us a lot of money and you saved our home! I will always recommend you to all my friends and family!

We hired True North mainly because Mike was very prompt to respond to all my questions, very transparent, accommodating and included other additional parts and services that other companies do not include in the purchase and install of a new unit. He did all the work by himself in record time; I was right behind him the entire time and I saw that he is very knowledgeable,  meticulous, clean and takes pride in his work; everything he did was done with precision and perfection and he never tried to cut corners.
We ended up purchasing a better unit than the other competitors offered for about the same price and he made it easy for us to make a decision once he explained everything to us.
To anybody out there looking to buy a new ac unit, I already did all my research with other companies; if you have a hard time getting a response back from them, how long is it going to take them to come to your house and help you with your needs; so don't waste your time and call True North and ask to talk to Mike; with other companies you will pay about the same for a lower rated unit and you will have to wait until they let you know when they will be able to do the job, which it was not our case; he sent me a quote on a Friday and he told me he could do it on Monday, I talked to him and we changed our minds, so we decided on another unit instead and he still did the job on the promised date. No way I can get the same service and ac unit for the same price with other companies.

Called Kevin at Four Seasons to do a pre summer tune up on my A/C. He was professional, prompt, thorough, and honest. He didn't try to upsell me for something I didn't need and was very reasonably priced. I do recommend you give Four Seasons a call if you need a service or any other kind of A/C work done.

Scot is the best. Finally found a respectable ac company on the valley. Very prompt and reasonably priced services.  He returns all calls and delivers on his promises. The best service I have received in the last 15 years servicing my properties!!

Called for a tune up and was told this service is $129.  When I asked what the tune up covers I was told they don't know they just make the appointments.  Then I tried the chat and was told the same thing.

These guys are crooks Victor just tried to charge me $2485.00 for 10 feet of copper repair. His tech came out and handed me the quote I asked him how this could be the price. His response was priceless VICTOR TOLD ME TO CHARGE YOU HEAVY FOR THIS JOB is what the tech said.

Please find another honest company and forget about these horrible people.
