Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in United States

We are selling our house and needed to fix a couple things with our HVAC unit. I contacted J&M Sunday night through Yelp and they scheduled me right away and were out first thing Monday morning. They checked out the things listed in our inspection report and addressed what needed to actually be fixed. Didn't pressure us into anything extra. Simple and affordable and fast couldn't ask for anything better!

I've used AirTime Cooling and Heating for the past few years (because of their ratings), and have been wow'ed by the service.  I've had two annual inspections, and both times they said everything works well and I don't need any changes.  

Right before the first inspection, I had a condenser fan motor seize up on me, that I replaced myself (plus the fan blade, because I couldn't get it off).  The new blade I got was difficult to get on, and I didn't get it in place optimally.  That came back to bite me yesterday (1.5 years later), as the blade had slowly worked its way free.  I was concerned there could be damage to the coils or condenser, so I called AirTime and got a same-day appointment scheduled.

Grant came out and was extremely professional.  He knew I had some background exchanging parts, so he explained everything that was going on and how I could maintain my fan motors to extend their lifetime.  He managed to salvage my fan blade and get it working again, while also showing me how to position it better than I had previously.  

I'm just blown away at how helpful this company is, without trying to push products on you.  My experiences with Grant, Brian, Shawn, and a couple others have always been top-notch.  They also haven't ever mentioned to leave them a review, so their reviews aren't skewed because of that--they're legit.

M & R Refrigeration, LLC is the best!  My A/C quit just as the heat hit Phoenix, AZ at 103.  The only thing coming from my A/C was blowing air.  A refrigeration company recommended by a home warranty company was contacted and appointment made.  They never showed at the appointed time 4-6 P.M.  At 7:15 they said they were running late...I cancelled.  Home Advisor came up with M & R Refrigeration, LLC. I called them and Ryan showed up that same day.  He was the most compassionate, caring person who saw my dilemma and took immediate action to rescue me by fixing what he could for temporary relief.  Both Mathew the owner and Ryan came back another day and worked from 10:30 in the morning all day until 3:30 p.m. to resolve the problem.  When I thanked them for their help their reply was We always try to do the right thing.  I can only say there are still some great caring people in this world.  If your A/C needs help you can't find a better company than M & R Refrigeration, LLC.  Mary Ann Runte - Glendale, AZ.

CW came to repair my home AC this past Tuesday and installed a totally brand new Trane system by 2:30 P.M. today, Friday! The service was both personal and excellent. And, of course, the total contract price was $2k less than I had anticipated. I am ultra pleased with CW, their work, service and cost. I would recommend them to anyone! I got a bargain and am very pleased and satisfied!

I'm debating whether it is 4 or 5 star, but leaning towards 5. The most important things are the workmanship, availability, accuracy and professionalism. These were all aced with flying colors. You get what you pay for. It wasn't a cheap AC replacement. They were ready within an hour of my call to add additional refrigerant. They were available to reschedule as needed. They turned on a dime for me. They got me the energy rebate I requested, without me having to lift a finger. They worked directly with my insurance to make sure I was taken care of. They make detailed reports and can explain the more decisions. Even though I didn't need the extra thermostat at this time, it was included in the package. I had to ask for it when it came time to pay the bill. I think it was complimentary along with the install but they still itemize free things on the receipt. The complimentary refrigerant was left off the receipt, the only exception.

Our AC wouldn't turn on and Manny came out to take a look at our unit. He arrived promptly on the early side of hr 2 hour window they gave us. Called ahead before he arrived. Very friendly. First thing he did was ask if the batteries had been changed in our thermostat. Oops! A quick change of batteries fixed the problem and our AC turned on right away. He was very kind not to charge us for coming out. He did recommend we get our AC looked at (we've been neglecting it since 2018 when we moved in) but he was not pushy about it at all. I really appreciate when a business waives fees as a courtesy when something like this happens. We'll be reaching out to Arcadia Air and asking for Manny when we do need service!

Yay for Yelp! Which led us to our new favorite plumber! We needed a plumber in a hurry! Went to Yelp and chose a 5-star plumber, Hansen Family Plumbing. We are so pleased! They responded within the hour. Prior to arriving, we received an email telling us who our technician would be, including a picture of him and a bio. The charge was reasonable. Yelp reviews matter... they really help us. And we've found a new plumber!

DDM. I can't complain.  The staff is courteous, professional and knowledgeable.  I got a brand new unit installed and just had my one month follow up.  All aces.   Steve Schilling was the reason I choose DDM.  My one month service was done by Nixa.  Very thorough and high attention to detail.

Highly recommended for Cooling and Heating services! I just had a complete new system installed and I couldn't be more happier. The process was easy from start to finish. The prices were great along with the service I received. Personable, professional and reasonable.

What a pleasure to have this company be the one chosen by my warranty company.  I am accustomed to some of the lesser service providers being forced upon a homeowner when using a warranty for repair.  But not this time.

Regardless, a company is only as good as their technician that goes out.  And I got lucky.  Payne showed up on the early part of the window that they had given me, which was greatly appreciated for my A/C on a brutally humid summers day.  

After about 1/2 hour he explained that the electrical box assigned to the unit had stopped functioning.  Since it was Friday at about 4:15, he couldn't get it replaced until the following week.  Obviously, the home was not livable in August without A/C.  I was not happy.  

Low and behold, Payne comes back to the house and says that there is a distributer that is not that far away after all and they have the part.

Son of a gun!  He got back before 5 and got me up and running like a hero without a cape.  I was ecstatic.

What a sharp, polite, professional young man.  He was at my home til about 6pm on a Friday to make sure I was up and running.   I was incredibly impressed with Payne in every way.  

Thanks so much.  If there were ever a reason to keep my warranty where its at, it is because of this.  I've had poor contractors come out because its the only service provider the warranty company would approve.   The contractor is a DIRECT REFLECTION on the warrant company.  And I couldn't be happier with Payne and North Valley Mechanical.

I couldn't be happier with the service, professionalism, and value I received from Arizona A/C Man when purchasing a new evaporative cooler.

Dave came out on Monday gave me a great price on replacing my decrepit, forty year old evaporative cooler.  Told me he could do it that Wednesday. He was right on time, did a thorough and professional job. Saved me a lot of money compared to other estimates I received. He did everything he said he would do and he even dealt with an existing water issue that wasn't his responsibility and he was a pleasure to have at my home.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dave and Brett from Arizona A/C Man to my friends and family and will have them back anytime I need A/C or Evap service.

Responsiveness, Knowledgeable, Professional, Punctual, and Respectful. This company is good at their profession.  My a/c unit was fixed in less than 1.5hrs for a price that was very negotiable and not too pricy. Thank you Ac Doctors for helping me cool down after such a distressing time. I will definitely recommend to my friends and family who are in need of A/c repairs.

Moved into a new home and needed some electrical work done. They finished in a reasonable time and the price was very fair. I'd definitely recommend them for my future projects!

I'm know Freddie for a long time and supper proud of him opening up his own shop. I only used licensed contractors and Freddie is licensed with the state.  So you know he did everything right and didn't cut any corners.  And he will not do that with your either.  He is a loving father, faithful husband and caring business owner.  

I would put Freddie up against any company out there and promise you he would outperform them!!!

Our air conditioning stopped working on a Sunday night a 5 o'clock, of course.  Called True North and our call was answered by a live person who was empathetic and helpful.  They said they could have a tech out in the next couple of hours to check things out.  The tech showed up early was knowledgeable and efficient.  Found out it was only a blown fuse.  he fixed it and was on his way within 30 minutes.  we have cool air again.  Highly recommend.

I wanted to give a huge kudos to Brittany for her customer service!  She was extremely pleasant and understanding.  Secondly, I want to thank Chris the service tech for being amazing.  The customer service and the whole experience with this company was amazing.  I won't use anyone else but this company.  We had an after hours issue and they didn't charge overtime rates as a lot of other companies do.  I will not use any A/C company but this one!  Huge kudos! Thank you

I would give ten stars if I could. Al came out to our house and was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He kept us posted on when he would be here and the extra communication was very, very appreciated. He thoroughly reviewed our situation and advised us on how to handle/avoid a freeze up (my terminology!) in the future. I will recommend them to my friends and family and I highly recommend you call them too!!

Had a service contract with Howard Air for a couple of years and always found the technicians to be very competent, polite and efficient.  The reason I cancelled with them is because too often they would miss the appointment window - and most of the time they never called...I had to call.  I grew tired of the game-playing and didn't feel valued.  I figure they have their big jobs to grab first, but in the end, if you treat your contract customers this way, why should we be under contract?  Loyalty breeds loyalty.

My a/c unit took a dump on the weekend. When other places didn't answer or had no one to send Goettl was there. They were at my home quick! Mike rolled up and diagnosed my unit. He was friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable of his job. I needed a new unit. I didn't have to wait days or weeks in this hot weather, they were here the following morning and installed one. They did an awesome job! I highly recommend Goettl for anyone's cooling needs. Oh yeah, they also do plumbing so you better believe I'd be using this company as well. Thanks Goettl!
