Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in United States

We are selling our house and needed to fix a couple things with our HVAC unit. I contacted J&M Sunday night through Yelp and they scheduled me right away and were out first thing Monday morning. They checked out the things listed in our inspection report and addressed what needed to actually be fixed. Didn't pressure us into anything extra. Simple and affordable and fast couldn't ask for anything better!

On Friday, July 27th I arrived home to a house that seemed considerably warmer than usual. I checked the thermostat and it reads 89 degrees, but we normally have it set for 78. I'm like, oh shit, the AC is not working and here comes a hot weekend. I go straight to the computer, look on Yelp to see reviews for AC Repairs and find at the top of the list AirTime Cooling and Heating and start reading the reviews. I'm impressed, so I proceed and check their website... find a coupon, call the number and leave a voicemail message that I need help. About 15 minutes later I get a call back... I'm impressed again. I explain to Lowell my situation, he recommends I check my air filters, which I did - he was right they were bad and needed to be changed (I had totally spaced on how long it had been since I last changed them). Lowell told me how normally their weekend service calls are much more $ than a weekday and they were booked up (being that we're approaching 4:30pm on a Friday), but he'd still give me their special $59 rate for a Saturday morning service call... that was great! So per Lowell I changed the air filter, turned the AC off, let it set for about an hour, turned it back on and the house started to cool off a bit to where we could manage through the night.
    Morning came and Josh arrived. He and I climbed on our roof and both of us were shocked at how cemented up our AC was. It was like someone had plastered all around the doors so we couldn't get into the controls. We had some insulation work done about 1 1/2 years ago and don't know if they did it or the previous owners, but Josh had to use a saw to open the doors to our almost 8 year old York AC. As we're on the roof and he's checking the thermostat the fan dies... it literally konked out as we're standing there. Well... that's pretty much it, time for a new AC. We sit down and discuss our options and choose a Trane HP 15 Seer. Because I had read previous reviews, done some online research and my wife had spoken to some people she knows who have had to replace their AC units recently we were confident we were getting the best deal from AirTime without having to call around, including a $1000 rebate and $100 coupon I found on their website (I always look for coupons!).
     So... here we are, Saturday and we've no AC and it's hot out... well AirTime provided us with two portable AC's for our home. We have 2 boys and 3 dogs, and we needed to keep cool... this is GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
     On Sunday night, yes, Sunday night... Brian the owner came to the house to measure for the new AC to be installed on Monday. Again I joined him on the roof to confirm what they'll be doing to remove the old unit and install the new one. While he was measuring I decided, since I'm up there to trim some branches off a tree that was hanging over the front of the house and Brian came over and helped me!!!
     Now it's Monday and time for the new installation... we've got Scott installing the new control panel inside, a different Josh and Sterling doing the install on the roof. It was cool to watch the crane lift the old one off the roof and the new one up. It only took a couple hours once the crane arrived. The guys were very nice and explained what I needed to know about the unit.
     Tuesday, Brian the owner called me to ask how everything went and if the house felt good and explained the warranty info would be in the mail soon once they do all the registration for us.
      I took a few days to write this review because I wanted to make sure everything has been good with the AC and it is. I can honestly say that I am soooo glad I read the very positive reviews on Yelp and called AirTime because they truly have provided us with excellent customer service and a nice cool house again. We called M & R to service our heating/cooling system in preparation for cooler months. Richard showed up right on time (wearing a mask - thank you!) He checked out both of our house units and put them into good working order, and also repaired the mini-cooler in the workshop. We were very impressed with how knowledgeable and honest he was. We were also very pleasantly surprised with the bill. It was reasonable and fair. (We've had some really terrible experiences with other companies in the past.)
We HIGHLY recommend M & R - and we plan to only call them when we are in need. Thanks to Richard and M & R for a job well done!

CW Air Conditioning and Heating is a great company!  They delivered everything they said they would!  They were professional and friendly!  The owner Chris was always available to take my calls and cares about his customers!  I highly recommend this company!

My Air Conditioner (AC) stopped working last night and this morning I call this company because of the only review.  They do honor the $15 discount advertised on this site.  I was given a specified time (3-5 p.m.) and was called at 2:48 and was told that the technician will be at my home in 20-30 minutes.  Enrique showed up (within the time the office said he would) and introduced himself and then listen to what I had to say of the situation.  He went to investigate the problem and checked everything.  His analysis was spot on!  We were quoted a fair price for the faulty capacitor and then he promptly replaced the items.  During the repair service, Enrique gave me some advice on how to diagnosis problems in the future and fully explained how the system works!  After he replace the faulty part, Enrique checked the entire system from the unit to the air handler to the air flow in the vents.  Great customer service!  

I would recommend this company to anybody.  In March of this year I had George Brazil come out to assess my AC units and they said they were in great shape, but when they assessed my AC units at my rental home they were able to tell the capacitor was going to break and it did.  George Brazil could tell one capacitor was going bad on one unit but not the other????? Then they try to sell you an annual service program and if something needs repair during that time, you still have to pay for repairs just at a discounted rate (big deal).   I will use this company to asses my HVAC units in the future.

Arcadia provided great service on a same day service call- it was even Father's Day. The problem was quickly diagnosed and service was completed at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend and will be using again for all my HVAC needs.

I couldn't be happier with the service that was provided throughout the entire process. I called on a Saturday to have someone take a look at a number leaks I discovered the night before. Jerry came out on the same day. He was very kind. I told him he was the first person to come out and I wanted to have others take a look at it too. He was very understanding and even tightened something to temporarily make the leaking stop. He was the only one that could come out on Saturday. Everyone else I had to set up time for the upcoming Monday. Turned out that the price Jerry provided was around the same price range but on the lower end. I decided to move forward with the work and it was beyond my expectations. I thought I would only get one of the three things fixed but he fixed all three and I got a discount! He was quick and everything looked great. I'm so happy. Thank you, thank you so much for helping me.

Highly recommended for Cooling and Heating services! I just had a complete new system installed and I couldn't be more happier. The process was easy from start to finish. The prices were great along with the service I received. Personable, professional and reasonable.

NVM is outright professional, diligent, and quick to respond.  Our original home developer and the stock AC unit that was installed had been having issues prior to calling them.  They came out and fixed it right away.  Since the first time we used them, we've called them out 3xs and were expeditious and sided on doing the right thing for the customer.  I'd highly recommend them to friends and family!

I can't recommend Brett highly enough. I found his pricing to be fair and the customer service is top notch. Brett truly went above and beyond my expectations!!!

I've had great service from different A/C companies in the past even when the home was old and this experience was terrible. Slow to respond. Slow fo make contact. Really rude service. Argumentative. Not reassuring to the customer's needs at all. In a hurry to leave without making sure unit is working inside the house.

Their bad side manner is HORRIBLE. Worst in the valley.

How do you think I'm going to respond after that? You all have a lot to learn.

Moved into a new home and needed some electrical work done. They finished in a reasonable time and the price was very fair. I'd definitely recommend them for my future projects!

This is an updated review, our AC stopped working in the middle of June in Phoenix AZ. After some research I found a company called Larson. They had good reviews but when I spoke to them I felt like they were trying to sell this contract that I didn't want so that's when I found Freddy's online. I called Freddy on a Sunday morning and he explained that he was very busy, he could maybe see us in the later evening but if something changed he would let me know. 2 hours later (early afternoon) he called and said he was close by and he got to us early! After a short period of time he explained to me that he had pinpointed the problem. It was my coil that had a leak. I told him that coil had been replaced recently by Collins Comfort and instead of trying to sell me so he could do the work, he mentioned that I should call Collins Comfort first. He told me that Collins Comfort should come out and fix it for free. So I called and he was right. Collins Comfort explained to me that all the labor, parts and work are free of charge but there is no coil at the moment and that my AC would be down until they could get the coil from the manufacturer. Collins Comforts Technician said that there was nothing they could do and to get a hotel until the coil arrived. After 2 days in a hotel, Freddy called me to check up on the AC. I told him what was going on and he said he would stop by the house later. He showed up to our house with a plan to do a temporary fix until our part arrived. Something that Collins Comfort never mentioned. Freddy treated us like family. Freddy was always thinking about the best interest of his customer. Freddy never tried to take advantage of us he always gave us the best advice for our pockets even if that meant him not getting the job! Freddy honesty and integrity is something very hard to find now days. Our AC is still working perfectly on this temporary fix while we wait on our coil that still hasn't arrived and Freddy just called me again recently to see how our AC is doing. Thank you Freddy! You saved us! You saved us a lot of money and you saved our home! I will always recommend you to all my friends and family!

2 of my Air conditioning units on my house stopped working during the hottest time last summer.  I had so many other air conditioning companies out. All told me they were beyond repair and quoted outrageous prices to replace 2 units.  I called Michael,  he came over right away.  Was able to diagnose the issues on both within minutes.  1 unit just needed rewiring.  The other he replaced the compressor.  Very honest person. I recommend him highly.  And  I will not use anyone else for my AC needs.

Called Kevin at Four Seasons to do a pre summer tune up on my A/C. He was professional, prompt, thorough, and honest. He didn't try to upsell me for something I didn't need and was very reasonably priced. I do recommend you give Four Seasons a call if you need a service or any other kind of A/C work done.

If you need a heating or cooling system, this is the place to go!!  Leadership always starts from the top down and Scot Moore runs his company with great integrity.  His men are proficient and knowledgeable.  I interviewed 3 others companies and their price was the fairest but also they were the only ones who wanted to do the job without cutting a hole in my ceiling - a little extra work on their part but a much better finished result.  I cannot say enough good things about their workmanship, response time and trying to give customers the best price.  5 Stars all the way.

A 2nd opinion $85 diagnostic and service call from Howard Air saved me from the $1900-$3900 cost projected by another company to replace the compressor or entire unit.  Service was same day, and Joel was courteous and competent.  

Service man from other company left after several hours and $260 saying it would take about 24 hours for this mid sized condo to cool down, but my tenants were questioned his competence before he even left.  Tepid air blew throughout the night cooling the place down slightly, but the unit quit entirely the next day, leaving the  family of 6 with 4 small children sweltering for several days with no AC in late July in AZ.  My prior preferred provider was booked solid for at least 10 days out and Cruz AC whom they recommended as an alternative has never yet returned one of my two
(or 3?)  calls, so I called Howard Air whom I had heard advertised on KTAR and for whom I found a small discount on the service call via Angie's.  

Joel from Howard made it there within a few hours and before he left the unit was blowing COLD air and has worked fine for the months since. The service tech from the prior company had overfilled the unit with refrigerant to the extent pressure couldn't be measured. Howard's Joel bled the pressure and did some exterior cleaning on a coil left unclean and covered in among other things wretched cat hair from the tenants running the AC for at least a couple weeks with no filter.  

I'm giving 5 stars with the disclaimer that this has been my first and only experience with Howard Air, but it's now (3/14/15) been nine months since the service, but thus far the experience has been nothing but blue skies and fresh (cold) - air.  Compliments and thanks to Joel of Howard Air

We had Goethe install two ac units and handlers 10 years ago. One air handler started to leak so we called for a repair at 10:30 am. The  person who answered the call said that a technician will call. We didn't hear anything until the following morning around 9 am and then the person said something weird. It's probably condensation, call us back if you want us to come out .
We called another repair company at 8 am and set up a repair.
I am very sad and disappointed by their service. I gave two star because they did call back.
