Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in United States

Needed a new A/C unit installed because dog had been urinating on the previous outdoor system. Spoke with Jason who was able to get me a reasonable quote for a new unit installed. They were very patient and listened to my concerns as I had just been ripped off by a different competing place who had been out three times including charging us for coolant when it was spot on obvious there was corrosion and a leak (I do not recommend Simply The Best).

Jason provided the quote and the install was done within a few days which is excellent response time considering I was in a jam and summer is here. Installers were very professional and even had the job done under the quoted time frame and did preventative maintenance on the other existing unit. Recommended. Straight forward, friendly and professional and don't play games with you like some of the other guys. We need integrity living in Arizona with the heat and I can say based on my experience, Northern Air provides exactly that! Thanks again and will use in the future for all cooling and heating needs!

Robert did an awesome job for a reasonable price. Good attitude, worked super hard, got it done in a timely fashion. Will definitely be using him again for anything we need hvac related. Recommend him highly. He replaced our air handler and condenser and relocated it all in one day.

They have been above and beyond in the installation and servicing of my equipment. They are kind, prompt and unbeatable when it comes to customer service. I highly recommend this company.

While performing a major repair the tech missed replacing a major component. Did not include the part or issue in the quote or repair. They then charged $100 service fee to come back out claiming it was not covered under warranty. Their customer service people ignored all attempts to discuss the issue.

Keep looking; there are MANY HVAC service companies in Phoenix who treat you much better.

My parents purchased a home and needed a new unit and new ductwork. LRG did a fantastic job. The pricing was fair and the work was completed fairly quickly. Very professional. LRG is the way to go!

AC stopped working during the weekend. Contacted them on a Saturday through Yelp and got a response within one minute. They came out quickly and were professional.

I got home from work and noticed that my thermostat wasn't on and I did some troubleshooting.  Found that a fuse was out.  I called around and everyone was too busy to stop by.  Danny came over right away and replaced my fuses to get my house warm again.  He noticed that my fan wasn't working correctly and he was able to replace the parts the next day.  I was impressed with his quality of work and his willingness to go the extra mile.  

If you are stuck in the cold and need your furnace fixed right away Danny is the guy.

I originally called Reliance for a second estimate. They came in a little lower and they're local, so I went with them.

All I can say I was impressed with their entire operation, top to bottom, beginning to end.

I won't bother going to go into details. They were great!

If you need anything regarding HVAC, call Reliance.

If you don't, you've been in the sun too long.

Funny how 24 hour emergency service offering companies never seem to have anyone available until the next business day afternoon.

Okay so prior to today I would have given this company a full 5 stars. Outstanding service, professional, prompt, etc. I have been a customer for several years and recommended them to everyone in my area.

As of today I have to remove a star. They cannot seem to schedule an appointment correctly for air conditioning servicing.

Synopsis from the full story below: They moved my appointment without warning but agreed to correct the appointment to my original time and then never showed up. Appointment ended up being moved to another day.

I made my appointment for Monday 10am-Noon (they even confirmed the time in a voicemail message the prior Friday) but they elected to change the window to 8am with ZERO warning.

7:30am I received several phone calls from them to confirm my 8am appointment. I was not available to take those calls. I called them back at 8:30am (1.5 hours before my actual appointment) and was informed that I missed my 8am appointment.

They agreed to move my appointment to 10am-Noon slot (which it should have been all along).

No one came. Noon rolled around and I called back again only to be informed that I missed my appointment of the day (8am) and it would have to be rescheduled for tomorrow.

Seriously?

They could not seem to use their scheduling software correctly. Every single time I spoke to them on the phone they were adamant that my appointment was 8am.

I NEVER agreed to an 8am time slot. I have standing appointments on Mondays and would never be available at that time.

I wasted my entire morning waiting for someone that never showed up.

Why only 1 star removed? The service manager that I spoke with was apologetic and said he would work with the staff to ensure it does not happen again. He worked with me to find a resolution that works for me.

I appreciate how fast the service manager looked into the matter.

Both of our AC units were on their last leg, house is about 20yrs old. I got quotes from 5 different companies, many of which were much larger, lots of the larger ones sent out dedicated sales people which was kind of a red flag for me that they need to charge higher prices for all of their extra employees. I'm really glad that I found DeModica Air, Jon Jon came out the day after I called him, explained all of my options, including patching my existing units which he said he could get them to last probably another 3 years. But he recommended replacement and we are glad we went with his recommendation. He had both units replaced, along with the air handlers in just 2 days. I highly recommend giving them a shot, at least invite them to give you a quote.

A less than four year old condenser unit would not start up. Called Stay Cool and had an appointment window for 2-5 PM. At four pm i called to confirm and they said yes, but someone else was in front of me. 5:30 PM rolled around and no Stay Cool. No call, no nothing. Unreliable, unprofessional. Buyer beware.

Last month our a/c stopped working. We filed a claim with our home warranty company on a Saturday and I was so worried that we were going to be without a/c for several days. Being August, 8 months pregnant, and also having a 1 year old I was very concerned! My husband left a message on Sunday, and someone contacted him back letting him know they would be out early Monday. The communication was great and the tech who came had the part we needed on hand and fixed it right away. I was so thankful! Great customer service and no further problems, couldn't ask for better!

Kevin is very personable and thorough with his work.  He showed up on time, and he backs up his work 100%.  His charges are very reasonable.  It's really nice to find an honest, friendly person to do our A/C maintenance and repair!

I can't say enough about the customer service from King Plumbing & AC.  Just as luck would have it the AC in my home stopped cooling on a weekend in July, it was just running constantly.  I posted a message on Yelp that following Monday morning. King Plumbing was THE ONLY company who could come out that morning.  Luis and James arrived right on time. Both were very polite, professional and honest. They noticed the unit was low on coolant, recharged it and cool air had returned.  Next step was to reach out to Old Republic, the home warranty company, to get the AC repaired or replaced.  They sent out some shotty company who charged me 75.00 just to tell me nothing was wrong, didn't even check anything except to tell me the unit had plenty of coolant. No duh  since King had just been out a day prior.  This company then closed out the service ticket with no problem found. I called Old Republic back and stated there was a reason why the unit was so low on coolant and insisted either they repair or replace the unit.  Since King Plumbing & AC is also a contractor for Old Republic, I demanded that they open a new ticket to King.  Luis and James came out again, went up in the attic and found multiple leaks in the coil. Luis worked with the manufacturer to locate a replacement part which was so nice of him. A part was found and the insurance company approved the repair with no cost to me.  Luis and James came back out once the part arrived, replaced it and now the AC works great.  I even signed up for the maintenance plan offered by King so now twice a year the unit can be inspected so no more summer without AC.  There are so many AC companies in Maricopa County but if you are looking for a company with honesty, integrity, that goes above and beyond, by all means, look no further than King Plumbing & AC. I have a fairly new home, built less than 2 years ago, and my tankless water heater went out a few weeks ago. The company charged me for a part I didn't need that was still under warranty. It took two weeks for them to finally fix it and all it needed was an electronic master reset.

I reached out to ask about why they charged me for a part I didn't need and they said due to all the time they spent here and on the phone with tech support.

Here's the issue I hope you correct going forward so it doesn't impact future customers:

1) Your technician didn't spend more than 5 minutes here the first time. He didn't troubleshoot anything. I told him the code and what I looked up online that led me to calling you. He said yup that's it. Then he left.

2) Had he troubleshot the issue it could've been resolved that day and we wouldn't have been without hot water for two weeks. Also, this would've prevented the ordering of a part that was unnecessary.

3) The second technician said he's not a plumber, rather he's an HVAC guy. I think having the properly trained technician would have sped up the job, reducing time wasted on troubleshooting a master reset.

I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because  I am thankful the last technician that came out was honest and was able to resolve it and get the water heater working.

Canyon State to the rescue. My air conditioner died last Friday & I spent the weekend trying to figure how what to do & how much to spend. Something reasonably priced but also could be taken care of quickly. I combed the APS Qualified Contractors, reviewed them on Yelp, & checked for their ROC license.

I came across Canyon State and could not be more impressed or happy with their service. I received a quote from James Dunkins but it wasn't just one! He took the time to give me four prices on one sheet and an extra price contained in the email. Canyon State uses Trane products & the quotes included RunTru. I never heard of this but looked it up, read the reviews, & saw it too was a Trane product.

The prices was definitely right but more importantly, to me, was the customer service. It didn't feel like it was a massive push or over eager sale. There wasn't an upscale but a genuine, how can we help you? The fact that they also had a portable A/C to help me survive until they could I stall also helped.

James was patient & indulged all of my questions. He was thoughtful in his responses & the tone of his voice made me feel like a friend instead of some rando new potential customer. When he came on Sunday to set up the portable A/C & measure, I felt even more confident in the decision to go with Canyon State.

The first year of service (2 checks) are included with a proposal for maintenance plan to be given at the second service. The warranty for the new install is reasonable as well. I really appreciate the upfront pricing & how it is a flat fee. No hidden surprises. No up sales. No pressure.

I am extremely happy with Canyon State & this all started with James. The techs who installed the unit & set up the thermostat were professional, competent, & personable. Each person I spoke with made me more confident with the purchase.  I don't feel like they're going to forget about me or that I was just another bottom line $$$. This is a small, family run business that has been around for over 30 years.

Highly recommend Canyon State. Definitely a company I will rely on for years to come. Give them a call, you will not regret it.
