I highly recommend Emergency Air Heating and Cooling.  I have been working with them for 2+ years on two separate residential properties.   The service contract is a great way to go as it is cost effective and convenient.   The technicians are knowledgeable and considerate of my property and my money.   They clearly explain process and reason behind any recommendation.   Richard and Sam were my latest techs.

EA contacted me to do an Preventative Maintenance on my 2 units cause I prepaid for 5 years 2 years ago when I was a stupid person,,,I said sure cause they were already paid for although I have been having another company do all my HVAC work,,,

Robert came out
HE DID NOT 1) inspect the filters,,,2). Did not wash blow or wash out condenser coils,,,3). Did not inspect or blow out the drip tube from evaporator coil..

HE DID SAY one unit was low on Freon and he can fix it for $4000.00.
He DID SAY the other unit has some corrosion and unit is gonna die,,we are all gonna die,,,but he can get us a new furnace/AC unit for $14K,,crickets,,$13k?,,crickets,,$12K?,,crickets ,,$11k,,,crickets,,,Okay then once I leave that good deal won't be available...

We got involved with EA a few years back after we needed emergency service on a hot July weekend,,,they sent a tech out,,,after about 10 minutes he proclaimed EVERYTHING FIXED took our money and left,,,15 minutes later we realized it wasn't fixed,,,we had to wait till Sunday morning when they sent a knowledgeable tech out that fixed the problem,,,we made him stay till the house cooled down,,,

I'm leaving this review in case someone is thinking of doing business with EA,,,think again,,,read all these 1 star reviews,,,the 5 star reviews in my opinion are all fake,,,,just my opinion

I am sure they did a pretty good job for my daughter. I was there. The tech was professional and informative. However, I copied my personal AC guy with the invoice and he said is was crazy high. So be sure to get more estimates. This was for a routine visit with a UV light installed and blower motor removed, cleaned and sanitized. And the regular checks.

Have them come out via their ad that says 60 months interest free financing the guy walks in the door and I told him I'm interested in it and he says oh we were with the bank that went under if we no longer do that

If your looking for a A/C company with integrity and honesty please pass on emergency air.  I bought a new a/c unit from them for 8k.  The installation wiring was bad. After a series of unit failures and 5 visits from them. My compressor was now blown up. So two weeks after my two year warranty expired.  They were happy to replace the warrantied part for another 3400$!! Just labor for a free warrantied part.
Nothing but bad business, and incompetent techs from them.  Consumers Beware!

There was a happy ending.  I found a company with amazing service and customer care. They did the warranty work for 30% less than EA.  My ac now works better than ever.

I had this new rooftop system installed a few months after I bought the house. First they mixed up the intake and out put, and had to come back on another day to fix that. Their technicians who showed up didn't even have the proper ladder to safely reach the attic vent, and I had to lend them mine.

There were two service calls where they did a good job:
Once when it came time to use the heater, it would not switch on. They came out and fixed it, and said it was a fault of the manufacturer and that they had a lot of calls for that repair.

Secondly, the unit froze, and speaking to the repairman over the phone, he told me I needed to change the filter, and that fixed the problem.

However, one year after installation of the unit, the capacitor, an item which is supposed to last around 10 years needed to be replaced. One year later the system is acting up again, and not blowing the cold air very strongly. It will cost me at least $90. just to have them come out. They are saying if it's the same part, its covered under the manufacturer's warranty, but the labor is not covered. Not happy with the product. I'll be paying it off for some years to come, and it can't be relied upon. I should not have it malfunctioning every year.

Had Emergency Air replace my HVAC unit in October and can't get them to help get the unit to work correctly. Have to wear sweatshirts and long pants in my downstairs even though my thermostat is set on 70-72 upstairs. They don't answer calls or texts for follow-up service.

Robert M responded to my home on time and i immediately knew he was very knowledgeable about a/c units. He prescribed the precise system I had researched! From that point, we needed to negotiate price and scheduling for two 3-ton units. Negotiate he did! He called his office to first check availability and then he pitched my offer. In minutes we were in accord. I wanted a quick install and he arranged it for the next day! My final concern was the quality of the installers. He promised me the best installers - and they were!  They were prompt and professional. They worked as a team and seemed happily tight knit. I called Robert M to tell him he did not exaggerate. We had one small misunderstanding on the thermostats, but Robert immediately got that resolved. I wish I could give 10 stars. Thank you Robert M!

Requested someone stop over and check out / service our air conditioners for the upcoming summer season.

Someone will be in your neighborhood tomorrow, so it should work out.

Dispatcher did give us a call today and said that the tech was driving through our neighborhood, so we should wait for their response, or else give them a call back in 10 minutes if we hear nothing. After 10 minutes, we called back 5 times, over an additional 10 minutes with no response, and when the dispatcher did call us back, she said that he stopped at our front door but there was no answer. She then said she attempted to call us back to inform us, but there was no answer.

Tech never came to the door, and the dispatcher never did give us a call. We have a ring doorbell, which picked up zero activity, and nobody attempted to push the doorbell as it monitors that as well. We have zero missed calls.

Dispatcher now says they are booked for the next two weeks and there's nothing they can do.

What a waste of time.

Originally I would of given them 5 stars when I first got my ac unit installed. Service at first was great and very professional. They talked me into buying the maintenance package/service and  I did. Then when it was time for the work to be done the tech refused to get up on roof to check unit due to pigeons being on my roof. I got the pigeons taken care of and no available times to come out. Pigeons were on roof when new unit was Installed and they didn't have an issue then but now that it's only maintenance needing to be done and already paid for they have million of excuses of why they can't get up on the roof. When called about getting a refund on maintenance package I was told I could only get $8 back lol although I sure as hell didn't pay $8 for the maintenance. A tech was scheduled to come out between 12-4 and after waiting the 4 hours I received a call at 4:19 to let me know the tech was an hour and 20 minutes away from my home and would be making his way there. At that point I canceled due to them being unprofessional and not even giving me a courtesy call to let me know they were running late. Stacy (receptionist) she even got an attitude when I stated my frustration about the situation. I would definitely make sure to avoid them as you'll be getting a run around with any problems or concern that may come up and getting drained of money.

BE VERY CAREFUL!!!   The 34.95 advertised AC tune up is a scam. It's only a very high pressure ploy to sell you an over priced five-year maintenance plan and/or extremely over priced repair services.

Tech showed up and told me I needed to replace all four capacitors in my two HVAC units.  The capacitors cost $20 each so total of $80 in parts.  I know I could install the two in each unit  in no more than 15-20 minutes, so 30-40 minutes labor.  But generously, give him an hour.  Best price he could come up with was $1,000.00.  So $80 or less for parts and $920.00 for an hour of labor.

Don't think I will be calling them back.

Update, FYI, I just got the work done by another company for $450.  Still too much IMHO, but the labor took just 30 minutes, so Emergency Air would have been charging me $1,840 per hour for the labor.

I had a great experience our technician was very knowledgeable even though we just were looking for an estimate and he understood this and even though there was no sale to be made he still gave us all the information that we asked definitely recommend them again if anybody's looking for information or wants to get a new system installed
5 stare service Definitely ask for Caleb Garver I feel that out of all the technicians I came to the house he was the most knowledgeable and gave us the information that we ask about an option

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Emergency Air and their technicians. I had another company out in early March and shortly after my unit was no longer functioning correctly. I was quite upset about my experience and called Emergency out, Ryan Grimes came out and was exceptional. He was friendly, understanding (despite my frustration), and walked me through step by step as he tested my unit, showed me where a wire was not attached by the other company, and explained/broke down the numbers, what my unit needed as far as repairs, as wells as what to realistically expect if I were to repair my 13 year old unit vs replacement. Based on Ryan's advice and explanation I opted to replace my unit. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the upfront and honest experience I had. Install was on time and as explained and expected. They had to make the hole in my attic larger and had it repaired the same week.

Thank you for making a stressful experience so much better.

I used this group 3 times as they were highly rated on Yelp.

First repair for $500 wasn't done correctly, so had to have them out second time and paid another $760.

Called them in on a second house, and they overcharged me by double. Was in a very hot house so I didn't call around even though we felt like the estimate way rather high. When I looked into it, I learned how badly we were overcharged. The repair guy was smug and not informative.

Do not use this group unless you want to get totally ripped off. While they may have been good in the past, they no longer are.

The 34.95 AC tune up is a scam. It's only a ploy to sell you an over priced maintenance plan. The service guy tried to tell me my unit was installed in 2008. Actually it was installed in 2014. I doubt he even looked at mine closely because he didn't even turn off the power to the unit. He even Tried to sell me a $ 400 surge protector. Lots of shady things went on. I basically paid 34.95 for a sales pitch.

Also the advertisement implies Carrier but in small print it's Emergency Air. You call one number and they confirm 3 different times in 24 hours. The final number 30 minutes before he arrived  was 602 400 0000.  I didn't answer because it looked like a fake virtual  number.  I looked at the voicemail to see if it was an IRS scam but it was this company. I called back right away and the operator said if I hadn't called back they would have canceled my appointment.

The service guy was nice, but he didn't bring a ladder. Even though I told them ahead of time they would need one. If I could give zero stars, I would for the over all deceptive practices they have. Next I'm going to report them to the BBB.

I started using Emergency Air a couple of years ago to perform pre season checks on my heating and cooling system.  The first service call was fine since then their service has gone from good to bad.

I had a service appointment today and the tech was 2 hours late then, when he arrived, he told me that I did not need to have my system serviced and that he had other appointments.

Emergency Air if you don't want to service systems then why, when I need a new heating and cooling system, would I consider you?  I contacted the company to speak with the owner and was advised that the owner does not take calls from customers.

If you are looking for dependable service for you cooling and heating system stay away from this company...they are undependable and poorly managed

Definitely the worst company I've dealt with, first of all we bought a new unit and they installed it incorrectly, which led to water damage through my ceiling into my living room, when we had them come to see the problem they assured it was installed correctly but of course they were wrong, Definitely go with another HVAC company because these people haven't a clue what they are doing.

BE CAREFUL!!  Like so many other AC operators, this outfit is not consistent. I have had some good results, but: a tech just came out and told me my capacitors are out of range and needed replacement. The units are 3 years old, purchased from Emergency Air, and one capacitor has already been replaced. The parts are under warranty, but he told me that there is a warranty charge of $100 each for paperwork, in addition to labor. The smells like a violation of the warranty violation. In the past, I was charged nearly $500 for a single capacitor replacement; a tech told me a blower motor needed replacement ($400 labor) but a different tech found nothing wrong except for a capacitor.
Can anyone recommend an honest HVAC company?

Dealing with this company has been nothing but frustrating from start to finish.
-They were supposed to come out for a same day emergency service, but no showed (They did waive the service fee for this inconvenience).
-They offered to come next morning, then tried to change it for 12-4pm. Luckily we still got the tech to come in the morning.
-The tech initially estimated 500$ for adding Freon. He had to add more than anticipated and the bill ended up being more than $1,000 for Freon. He did not warn us of this change until the end. I understand more Freon was needed and obviously up-charged us a lot, but I should've been communicated with about this change and not surprised with a bill twice the price of what I was told.
-The tech was also less than helpful and when asked to take a look in the attic, he refused.

I will never use this company again or recommend them to friends and family. In fact, I will tell people to steer clear.

These guys are amazing!   The tech (Pat) was at my house in 45 minutes.  It took him 10 minutes to diagnose the problem and about 50 minutes to repair (TWO separate AC units).  This  was not any young kid learning the business.  He was a 50+ dude with lots of experience.   I've worked with a half dozen AC companies in both my home and business in the 30 yrs. I've lived in the Valley and never had a more satisfying experience.
(and this review was NOT written by a family member or review service....It is a real authentic review)
P.S. and i found their pricing fair and reasonable.

$34.95 tune-up is a rip off. They will just inspect the system (no actual tune-up performed) and try to upsell / convince you to replace the entire unit. Wouldn't recommend them

If I could give 10 stars, I would! I found this amazing company via a Facebook ad, and was not disappointed! Caleb came out and was knowledgeable, straightforward and super friendly. He explained our options and HANDS DOWN GAVE US THE BEST PRICE OUT OF FOUR DIFFERENT ESTIMATES/COMPANIES to replace our 12 year old unit. Their price out the door is HALF THE PRICE of their competitors! A+++

Richard D. showed up for scheduled maintenance and once he was done with the units outside I explained how one of my intakes was not pulling in air.  With no complaints and I smile I could see under his mask he went in the attic and found the vent was disconnected and drawing in hot attic air.  He fixed right up.  Every person I've worked with has been great...recommend these folks.

Happy, screwed or happily screwed.  In early December '19, it seemed that our 11 year old Goodman HVAC system was intermittently blowing cool air instead of hot air.  We had a PM (Preventative Maintenance) schedule for late December with Emergency Air, with whom we had a PM contract.  As a result of that PM session we were advised that the Integrated Fan Controller was intermittently failing causing the problem that we were encountering.  The estimate for fixing was just over $1,000.  Being a bit suspicious about the cost (I do have some HVAC background), we decided to get a second opinion.  We chose A/C Doctors to give that opinion.  We scheduled their visit, told them of our issue but they could not find a problem.  We did not tell them of the other company nor their finding.

We had a bit of traveling to do mid-January to early February so we turned the system off (as we approached our travel, the situation was getting worse), deciding to get it fixed when we returned.  We contacted A/C Doctors again for a service call; this time they found that the problem was the Integrated Fan Controller and estimated the cost to replace to be around $600.  We had them replace the controller and with the credit for the previous service call and a $25 online coupon credit, the final cost was around $563.  I did have the foresight to request the defective board when the installation was done.  This seemed to be a typical problem with older Goodman units so I decided to see what the real cost of the controller board was since they didn't break out the hardware vs. installation cost.  I've included a pic of a quick internet search showing the board was easily available for around $50.  So I just paid $500 for installation?  Or the board was marked up maybe 5 or 6 times.  Installation was about an hour - 2 techs (one shadowing the other) - maybe $200 for installation.  That leaves over $300 for a $50 board.  If we had gone with Emergency Air, the markup would have been over 10 times (installation ~$200, board $800).

So, I'm quite happy that A/C Doctors duplicated the problem and fixed the problem - so I'm happy.  I'm not happy that a $50 board was marked up outrageously - so I feel screwed.  So should I be happy that I got screwed, just happy or just screwed.  Note: I will be post a similar post on A/C Doctor's Yelp site too!

We recently had Emergency Air install a new Carrier heat pump.  Expensive, but they at least had the product during a time when no one else had product availability (thanks to Pandemic unemployment and transportation issues). We chose the 2 stage system after Nate explained the advantages.  Alex and Victor were in charge of the installation and we could not have been happier with their professionalism and knowledge.  They had the entire project done within 8 hours and made sure we were aware of what they were doing throughout the process.  Alex even stopped by 2 days later to make sure everything was up to par and made any necessary adjustments.  We have had it a month now and have already seen a significant drop in our daily energy expense. We will definitely recommend this company and their staff to others.

We had a new AC unit installed this past summer and overall had a good experience. The technicians were knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with us answering our questions. There were a couple of snags - one that our air flow wasn't smooth throughout the entire house and two that our heater didn't work. For the air flow problem, a couple of technicians came out - they came at an unscheduled time and didn't fix the problem. Now that it is winter and we started using the heater, we called them again to fix the problem. Patrick Cowie came out to fix that and he was awesome - he was courteous and wore his mask, and was happy to help. Hopefully the air flow will be good to go this summer (I will come back to update this). If we have any other problems, we will call Patrick directly.

BEWARE!!!!  I wish I could give 0 stars!
I totally agree with J. Chris H.  This company is a scam!!!  I also asked for the 34.95 tune up and not only was called twice to tell me that they were going to be late but finally told after they were an hour late that they were going to have to reschedule the next day???
The technician was at my house for 5 min. and told me that several things were wrong with my unit and that they needed repaired.
I asked the technician for a written receipt and details of the repairs needed and he said he would email them to me that day. I did not receive an email from the company so I spoke to the manager the next day and he stated that they don't give written details of repairs needed or receipts???
I'm contacting Carrier because it states on the ad that they are Carrier certified technicians.  I'm sure Carrier will not appreciate their deceptive practices using their name.  I'm also going to contact BBB!

We had water leaking out of our air conditioning unit that was in the ceiling... We had a bucket collecting it, but we're worried about the issue becoming worse, we called late in the afternoon thinking we would have to wait a couple days and these guys came out the very next day!

Robert was very professional, friendly and explained how the problem happened and how to prevent it in the future as well! In short, one of the water lines had been backed up and he had to use a couple CO2 cartridges to clean out the line, he then re-coupled the waterline, sealed it and also installed our new filter for it as well! Then he took the time to clean up after himself to make sure everything looked just as he arrived, if not better!  Great job and definitely worth five stars!

Was very happy with my service.  Robert came out to inspect the system and help fix the issue of us not having heat after the solar company N.E.R.D Power installed and jacked up the wiring of new thermostat and unit in the attic.

Robert was personable and knowledgable.  He explain everything that was going on within the heating and cooling system.  He was so good we decided to buy a maintenance plan because we want him as the person that comes out and takes care of the system.

Updating, as promised from initial post.  Today was install of the new unit and Larry and Jake arrived ready to do the job.  Two of the nicest young men.  Professional, pleasant, and efficient!  The entire job was completed in about four hours.

We got a lesson on how to work the new thermostat, a review of the work they did, and they answered all questions we had.  We are in the process of cooling down now and the new unit is so darn quiet!  Far cry from what we had.  Again, top review and recommendation for this company.  Will not hesitate to refer them or call them if we need anything!

After we received new units, we continued to do maintenance regularly. After today's visit it amazes what a great company this is. Very professional, always respects our home, and just pleasant to be around. Of course, once we bought our house a couple years ago, the air conditioning had to be looked at after about a year and we contacted Emergency Air. They couldn't have been more helpful, friendly but professional. Explained everything going on, showed us the problems with the old unit and didn't rush us just to make a sale. We ended up getting a new Carrier Unit that has been working great. Now a year into it, had an inspection and maintenance by Robert Patrick who was very friendly, professional, and thorough, and he explained everything. We feel that Emergency Air is a great company with great people so got a maintenance agreement to keep the system working efficiently through the coming years. Highly recommend.

Getting our ducts cleaned in a few days by Emergency Air too.

Had what seemed like low coolant so had Emergency Air come out to service the AC unit. The tech informed me they needed to replace the coil. They quoted $1400 and scheduled me for two weeks away. First appointment they were a no show.
Second appointment, two weeks later, I told the scheduler I wouldn't be able to take another day off, but the tech had said they didn't need to come in the house to service the unit so I asked the scheduler to have them call me so I could pay over the phone if I wasn't home before the job finished. The tech came, I wasn't home as was discussed, yet he left, work undone.
As luck would have it, turns out. I called a second AC company, explained that the coil needed replaced and he scheduled me an appointment and apologetically said that it's a big job so expect to pay $650-675. Wow, same job, half the cost.
When the new company came out, as scheduled, the new tech called me at work and said the leak is so small, it's undetectable, and offered a $90 alternative.
I would like to hope Emergency Air has a competency problem . . .but,  $1400 to do a $650 job that doesn't even need to be done?

Glendale, Arizona. Make Emergency Air your first call for repair or replacement. I recommend these four technicians. To start out this review, I am a customer and not receiving any gratuities for this review. I called two air conditioning companies with no results on installing a new a/c unit. Both companies came over to give me a price and never called back. I then contacted Emergency Air. A technician, Caleb, showed up on Saturday, look at my old unit and explained to me the type of unit needed to be installed in my 1972 manufactured home and will contact me on Monday at 4pm. Monday morning Caleb and his supervisor came back to make sure the unit suggested will fit. At 4pm Monday, Caleb called to confirm the unit suggested will fit. We set up an appointment for Wednesday at 4pm to go over the details again and sign the contract. Caleb showed up at 4pm. Caleb was honest, professional, prompt and concerned about the installation and my comfort. He scheduled the installation for the new unit on Saturday.
On Saturday, three young men showed up around 8:30 am. On the trailer was my new a/c.  All three men, Larry, Jake and Jesse, knowing their job started to remove the old unit. These three men are courteous, professional and worked together as a team.  My manufactured home is an older unit and needed some changes for installation of the new unit. I asked for a few changes to the placement of the new condenser and wiring. All three of them accepted the challenge and the unit was installed. They cleaned up after they were done, and had someone remove the old unit. Great job, Thank you.

Stay away from this place they like to do the bait and switch. They also try to upsell you on services not needed When they come to service your unit they will try to sell you on whatever they can try to get away with.  I would have a second opinion if they offer any crap that you don't need.  It's really sad thay you can't trust anybody anymore  All they want to do is get into your wallet.

Jacob Nelson was great! We had our AC installed back in April, and we went to turn on our heat today and it was blowing out ice cold air. I called the customer service and they sent someone out same day to diagnose and fix under our warranty. He adjusted the wires on our nest, added more Freon, and fixed everything so we have heat. Thank you Jacob!

Benjamin came to check our AC system today.  He took his time and was very thorough.  He allowed me to stay with him and watch everything he was doing.  He explained what he was looking for and what he found.
We discussed what I need to watch for and a plan to go forward in the future to avoid problems.
Then he installed a compressor saver that reduces the punch it gets with electricity every time it is turned on.  And he installed a surge protector in case of an electrical storm.  He improved the system and was sensitive to the financial concerns for AC maintenance.  I am more confident in the reliability of our system.
Good Job Ben

I was very disappointed with the tune up I scheduled.  The tune up is just an excuse to inspect the unit and upsell you on their maintenance plan and/or unnecessary preventative repairs.  NOTHING was tuned up!  The filters were not inspected or changed, the coils were not cleaned, the drain lines were not flushed.  So basically I paid $70 for someone to tell me that my 5 year old Trane units were fine, which I already knew.  Very deceptive and misleading service and provider.  Needless to say I will never use or recommend this company to anyone.  I called to speak with a manager about my concerns and never received a call back.

SO happy we chose Emergency Air.  Our 30-year old systems were in need of replacement and we called Emergency Air (amongst others) for an assessment.

Ryan came out promptly, spent time carefully assessing our home, units, hot spots and ductwork.  He was extremely knowledgeable about his trade and gave us options on what units would work most efficiently given our home design and duct work layout.

He recommended a straight forward replacement of our system using two reputable units (Trane) that did not require roof modifications and would effectively cool our home.  He left us to think about it without any pressure whatsoever.

The pricing was very competitive and we had them installed later that week.

The installation team was timely, professional and efficient. We are very happy with our new Trane units and our home hotspots have been resolved, thanks to your cost effective Wi-Fi sensor solution.

P.S. Team, thanks for covering your shoes when you entered our home! This small, but professional detail was much appreciated (and shockingly rare...), particularly after being on our roof! :)

I have been dealing with my home warranty and their assigned contractor for over a week to fix my air conditioner. The whole experience has been beyond frustrating and stressful and obviously without resolve.

After hearing great things about emergency air, I gave them a call. The whole experience was wonderful!!!!  I was set up for same day appointment. Technician Mike came out to diagnose our unit. He was professional, courtesy and was able to give us a thorough explanation of the problem after a quick diagnosis. We got more out of his short visit then we got out of our warranty contracted provider in over a week!  I am VERY impressed with his knowledge of his job and his professionalism.

Highly recommend this company for all your AC needs, especially MIKE H!!!!

I had a great experience with Emergency Air; the tech was very professional and knowledgeable. I took them up on the offer to check my A/C unit out because I just bought the home in August. I was told my unit is working great, indoor coil clean with good temp split. The Tech was great to work with, their customer service rep was also; I was kept informed of the scheduled check up and was called a day prior to confirm. The tech called me when he was leaving the previous appointment and en route to me, which was in the window of time originally set up.

I would have though that a call from customer service would have been made. No Dice.

***Click Here Now To Schedule Your Summer Tune Up

So I decided to go with the summer  A/C tune-up special. 29.95 per unit with a donation of can goods. I called them back and scheduled. Charles arrived at 4pm in my 12-4 window given. He greeted me and I showed him in and explained that it was perfect timing that the units are in need of coolant and that the lower unit had some freezing on the coils. (They had been working hard with the recent increased humidity) I should have kept my mouth shut.

I understand why A/C units freeze and low coolant suggest a leak. I know for a fact that it has taken 3 years to get to this point with a leak. (Yep same thing from 3 years ago when I had a A/C company top it off.) Within a matter of 10 minutes I was told Charles that I need 2 capacitors plus the coolant at $79 per pound and a chemical wash for a total of about 900 dollars OR i could pay $1600 for a 5 year service plan and todays repairs would be included.

1st off the bait was a A/C tune up. To me that should include some kind of cleaning. I hear adds all of the time and the usually off up to a pound of coolant.

2nd Capacitors are cheap parts and take a matter of minutes to replace.

3rd the whole Idea was to get into my house and sell me a over inflated service agreement that included a whole 10% off to replace my unit.

I told Charles to add the coolant since I knew it was needed. I am not really sure he loaded the amount of lbs. that he said but I really did not care at this point I just want this to be over. Afterwards when it was time to pay he offered me a 2 year agreement for $700. I declined and paid them $440.00 which include the tune-up fee for 2 units.

I will never do business with Emergency Air and beware of calls for low price A/C tune-ups.

By the way the can goods are still sitting on my counter.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!

We had these guys install a brand new A/C a month ago for $6700. This weekend, our one month brand new unit died, and we immediately called for assistance, as we have a 10-year warranty with the unit. The service techs and install guys are friendly, so no complaint there... But these people did us wrong, and they were very disrespectful to us over the phone. We had to go stay in a hotel over night, since they couldn't come out until 8AM Saturday morning. We took our puppy with us to the hotel. Unfortunately, we had to leave our guinea pig at home, but the house was not burning up, since we left everything shut. We returned the next morning at 8AM, eagerly awaiting their call. By 10AM, it was over 95 degrees in our home and no repair crew! Our guinea pig was still active and making her noises. We fed her, and made sure she had a fan hitting her. By 12... Still no service crew. We called, and they had the audacity to tell us that their repair man was working on another A/C for someone until 3AM, and had to sleep, he'll be there today! She placed me on hold without even asking, and was quite firm about saying things like well it's summer, and A/Cs are working extra hard and we have a heavy workload... But no apologies, just cookie cutter answers and rudeness. Our guinea pig finally started not responding, and we had a friend rush over and take her out of the house. The A/C guy showed up at 3PM! This is after the company setup our expectations for 8AM... We had to spend one more night in a hotel while our home got back cooled down, and at 4AM, our guinea pig died of heat stress! Of course it's no big deal to them, and an apology was all they could offer! Probably some folks reading this think of this as a silly rant or worthless complaint, but pets are living! She was as much a family member as any human being, and because of their unprofessional work (or lack thereof) we now no longer have a guinea pig. If there was a legal action we could take, we'd do it, but there's no law stating that they did anything wrong, and lawyers would simply laugh. If you have pets... RUN FROM THIS COMPANY! Find a company with hearts that care!

Kudos to Emergency Air for excellence in service delivered with the highest level of professionalism by their staff. When one of my air conditioning units died on a Friday when guests were expected, I was told by my home warranty company that the earliest I could expect service was the following Tuesday! I recalled seeing an ad for Emergency Air in a local publication and called to see if they could assist me. The response was immediate. The service person, Mike Holland came out, assessed and corrected the problem all in the same visit. He took time to explain the problem and to offer alternative suggestions. I accepted his recommendation and the problem was eliminated before Mike left.

Unfortunately, my 18 year old A/C unit died a month later and I needed a replacement immediately. Mike returned, inspected the unit and confirmed that a new unit was needed. I ordered the new unit he recommended, and it was installed yesterday by Andris and Henry. As in the case of Mike, they clearly were experienced and knowledgeable in terms of the A/C units. They completed their work to my satisfaction, and I now have a fully functioning new A/C unit.

Given that my other A/C units are the same age (18 years) as the one recently replaced,  I know it will be necessary to replace these units in the near future. Based on my positive experience with Emergency Air staff, Mike, Andris, and Henry I will contact Emergency Air to do the work. They have my highest endorsement!

Mike (Michael) came out and did an inspection/diagnostic after numerous home warranty calls and run around with no fix or resolution. He proved to be totally professional, extremely knowledgeable, and experienced. He was patient with me and not pushy at all. He gave me different options and long term consequences of each option. After getting all the facts I decided to get a brand new unit. It was just installed today and again the installation crew were completely professional and answered all the crazy questions I threw at them! Totally worth it. Thank you Emergency Air!

I hired emergency air to repair my AC unit.  They were very responsive and performed the repair after hours on the weekend so that was great.  Serviceman was nice and work was well done.  I dropped the rating since they were a little pushy on the up sell for an unit replacement unit and were over priced on the parts replaced.  Good in an emergency situation, but you can probably get better pricing if you shop.

We had Emergency Air come out today and install our new Nest thermostat! Not only are we extremely impressed by the new system, but we were blown away by the amazing customer service we received from Mike Heydron. Mike really took time making sure we understood how our new system worked, tips from his own experience on how to best use the unit and even walked us through how we can lower our electric bill. I appreciate that he spent time being very consultative and while we did talk about my unit needing to be replaced, he explained that getting our coils cleaned would be the next step to keeping our unit and making it last longer! We are going to call them and have them come back in a few weeks without a doubt! Thanks Emergency Air!

I would not recommend,  I got a call from emergency air saying they would do an ac tune up for 69.00 or so dollars last year.  I made the appointment and Mike came out to do the cleaning and tune up.  He came down showing us a video of how dirty it was and a price of over $1,000.  We didn't have the money up front but he said he would do it all if we signed up on a maintenance contract and they would come out twice a year and service it and get a discount on services as well.  So we payed 2100 dollars for this contract and when we went to do the 6 month tune up the contract only said once a year, we were told two.  We made our tune up appointment a year later and the guy came out and checked everything out, he walks into our house (I forgot his name), and said oh it looks like your unit has NEVER been touched or cleaned!  I told him you guys just cleaned it last year, he didn't believe me and had me show him the invoice which thankfully I had.  He said the invoice didn't show he cleaned the inside.  Then he sits down and tries to sell me on all this and that which I just couldn't believe and didn't want to give this company any more money after he told me it looks like it's never been cleaned.  I am so upset and feel like we got screwed out of 2100 dollars, we were told the first time it would get cleaned all the way through, that we would see a big change in our utility bill which we didn't.  Hopefully this review will save someone from getting screwed over.

Emergency Air replaced my A/C unit and all my ductwork. I was very impressed with their service.  During the inspection, video was taken of each issue so that I could see each problem exactly.  After 21 years,  my a/c and ductwork needed to be replaced. They were so very professional and responsible. They did great work. They even made sure to clean before they left. It was a huge project and they covered every aspect.  I am very pleased.  I will continue to use Emergency Air.

I recently had Emergency Air come out to check on our  ac and why two of our bedrooms where not getting air. We needed a new ac fan and our next step was to get the duct work sealed.  When the company that seals the duct work came out they realized the duct work was not put together properly. Instead of Emergency Air saying we were out of luck they came out and decided to make repairs to our duct work that would then allow the sealant to work at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE!! Now our AC works like a charm. Our technician Tony was great to work with. He didn't lead us on but let us know exactly what was going on and the steps that needed to take place for us to get proper airflow.

We will be sticking with this company and signed up for them to come check our ac twice a year. We say thank you to Emergency Air every night when my husband and I go to bed in a nice cold room.

They've gotten a little bit too spam-ish now that I've used them once.  Still think they are honest with their inspection and reliable but call pretty frequently now. Last time here, I got the hard sell for a new AC unit. Polite guy, but definitely trained to push a new AC unit.  Prices started really really high but even the slightest hesitation gets them to reduce the price about 30%. Which means to me....some people are paying $7k-$10k for a new AC unit if they bite right away.  More reasonable prices for my size unit should be $4500-$7k.

Last Sunday morning my AC unit decided to stop working. Used Home Advisor and got a call from Emergency Air. Decided to give them a try and so happy I did. Within half an hour, I had a technician come to my house (luckily he lived close to me). Mike H. diagnosed the issue and was very professional. He went right to work and didnt mind my old dog hanging around with him. Seemed like Mike was there for maybe an hour and answered all my questions and took care of my financing needs with ease. Prices are very reasonable. Glad I have cold air again and happy I have Emergency Air to handle all my future HVAC needs.

They offer a coupon in the magazine that comes in the mail.  It is to give your air conditioner a tune up.  I am pretty certain the goal is to get in the door so they can charge you for a service call and upsell you.  My units are only 3 years old and when the representative came out, he couldn't figure out which unit was for my upstairs and which one for my downstairs.  He then told me it was going to have to be a service call instead of tune up because he couldn't figure out which unit was which.  I said no way, that we could figure it out and he said it was still going to be a service call, at that point he said if I wasn't willing to do a service call that he was going to leave.  He didn't charge me for the call.  I think the problem is he must not get paid if he can't upsell me so he might as well leave.  I don't recommend them and won't be using them in the future.

Our old A/C company Desert Valley Air went out of business. Emergency Air thankfully took over the contract we had.  We were having some issues with the A/C not staying steady, being over 110 degrees makes it frustrating trying to stay cool.
We had Caleb come over and check everything, he went to the attic, out back, looked at everything twice.  Ended up being a loose wire.  Our A/C units are the original units built with the house  form 2001.. yes, they are 18 years old.  We know we are in need of new A/c units, but if it aint  broke no need to fix...  well, we know we need to replace it sooner than later and well before it breaks as we know it will be a big expense.  Caleb was kind enough to give us a quote and shockingly it was far better than we even thought.  He was super honest and explained what we needed for our size house, with almost 3,000 sq feet, we need 2 units that are fairly powerful.   We were very impressed with Calebs knowledge, honesty and customer service.  Oh and he was funny too!!
Thank you Caleb for your time on Saturday.

I am so happy with Emergency Air Heating & Cooling. I'm so glad I bought the insurance with them. Four months ago, this guy went door to door in my neighborhood, and then asked me if I wanted to purchase a five-year insurance and monthly maintenance for my HVAC. I was reluctant at first, but my gut feelings told me to do it. I wasn't happy with my home warranty because they take forever, and they do a half ass job. Well my HVAC heater stopped working this morning, so instead of calling my Home Warranty, and paying $75 for the service fee. I called Emergency Air instead. Boy! I am so glad I did! The technician came over within an hour and fixed it without even charging me. American Home Shield would have charged me the service fee, and does not guarantee that they would fix it the same day. When making a purchase this large it is important to have a company you can trust! Screw those big companies like AHS. Go with local small businesses like Emergency Air Heating & Cooling. I will not be renewing AHS next year for sure. I'm pocketing the $600 a year I pay them, and putting it in a repair fund. #supportsmallbusinesses #shoplocal

Robert is a great technician!  I was having trouble with excessive dust in my home for two months. He did an air quality test yesterday and showed me that the meter was off the grid. Next he explained different ways to clean up the air. I decided that getting an Air Scrubber through Emergency Air would be my best long term option. Tomorrow the air ducts will be thoroughly cleaned by another tech and then Robert will set up the portable Air Scrubber and show me how to use it.

Yesterday June 20ththe hottest day so far this year, my Air went out. I immediately called Emergency Air and they dispatched Jaime Gacia to my home in Maricopa AZ. Jaime called me on way to my house, letting me know when to expect him. Upon arrival, Jaime was extremely courteous and concerning. He investigated the problem--the motor blew out-and explained my options. The unit is 14 years old and I decided to replace it with a new one. Jaime took his time to put in a temp motor until the installation will occur. He was meticulous throughout. There is no better technician anywhere !!! Thank you Emergency Air and Jaime!!

I had been constantly having issues with our A.C. unit since our previous company installed it in 2012. Previous tech's were dishonest and never fixed the issue. Called Emergency Air and had a tech at out our home right away. Crow was courteous, professional, and very friendly to my family and even our dogs liked him. (Always growled at old techs). He explained every step and test he conducted and even took video of the work he did on the roof. I will only use Emergency Air from here on out and will always request Crow Rice as my technician. I have referred everyone I know to Crow and will continue to do so.

I should have known better than to respond to a phone solicitation.

I just bought a new home, and someone sold my cell phone number to third party vendors like Emergency Air.  I'm not happy about that, but it's not the fault of the folks at Emergency Air.  One of their people called me unsolicited to offer me a free HVAC inspection.  Okay, I live in Phoenix, and that is a necessary task anyway.  I figured, why not?

A technician came out.  I'm not going to name him because he seemed like a great guy.  The part I was shocked about was when he came back in the home and wrote me out an estimate to get me caught up on my standard maintenance.  The bill he wrote up was $1,400.  I decided at that point that the business was called Emergency Air because I almost needed an emergency room to mend my ailing heart when he showed me that estimate.

Included in that estimate was $200 each for an acid cleaning on both coils, $200 for a new capacitor, $200 for a new thermostat and $400 for duct cleaning plus a couple of other odds and ends.  However, he said that if I was to buy a seven year service contract for $1,500, he would knock everything off except the price of the capacitor.  Plus, they offered zero percent financing.  One thing to add is that he swore that my unit was a 2002 model when my home inspector claimed it was much newer (and still under warranty).

I figured it was time to practice some due diligence.  I called the guy who inspected my home back when I was in the escrow period of my home buying purchase.  He pulled up my file and promised me that my A/C unit was a 2009 model, just a little over six years old, with almost four years left on the warranty.  I decided to get a third opinion, and I called another HVAC guy to take a look.

When the second HVAC guy came back into the house to announce his findings, that is the point where I became disgruntled with Emergency Air.  He said there were essentially four problems:

1.  He agreed with the guy from Emergency Air that both coils needed to be cleaned, but that was free as part of the service visit.
2.  Condensation hose was unhooked.  He also offered to re-hook it up for free as part of the visit, but he wanted to make sure it wasn't clogged first.  How did they guy from Emergency Air miss that?
3.  The fuses in the unit were the wrong size.  How did the guy from Emergency Air miss that?
4.  He also agreed that I should probably replace my thermostat.

The second A/C guy offered to do all of that for $400.  When I showed him my estimate from Emergency Air, he said the only things from the invoice that he did not do were capacitor replacement and the duct cleaning because it wasn't necessary.  He also agreed with my home inspector that the A/C unit was a 2009 unit still under warranty, so if the capacitor did go out, it would be covered under the warranty.  Plus, he unclogged my condensation hose and replaced my fuses, two things that the guy from Emergency Air didn't even catch.

I hate leaving extremely negative reviews, but I feel this one is completely justified.  I have always had a rule against engaging with phone solicitors.  This one took me off guard, but I have now reinforced that rule to myself.  Now, to find out which vendor in the home-buying process sold my cell phone number because a complaint to the FCC is in order.

Reason for service was for a checkup on my five year old unit (I had a coupon).   The technician showed up an hour before the four-hour window was to expire and someone did call to tell me he was on his way.  Technician was polite and seemed experienced.  Check up was performed and deficiencies (out of tolerance readings) were found.  During the discussion for recommended maintenance, the technician was very robust in pushing his companies Maintenance Contract.  It not being cheap for a 1X/year checkup and me not planning on staying in this house, I declined.  I decided to have a controller/compressor cap replaced since he was already here.  When I asked where the warranty was on the parts/labor, I was informed since I didn't have a Maintenance Contract with them, there was no warranty.  Doesn't seem right to me.  I hope it lasts.  Nevertheless, my gut tells me this isn't the company for me.  I wish I called the company that did the initial installation.  Stupid coupon!  You live, you learn.

I spoke to a friend of mine that also received a full replacement. He claims he received a starter on the outside AC unit with his replacement. Your rep that attended could not believe I didn't get one with the replacement install. I would like consideration for one.

So a few months after this company came out to my residence my air conditioning stopped working.  They of course were the first ones I called.  They sent someone out right away.  They informed me that my coil was bad and needed to be replaced but that I should probably just replace the entire unit considering the cost of the new coil.  So I explained to the technician I am my wife are expecting a new baby in the coming months and are paying cash for all of our medical bills out of pocket and I really couldn't afford this right now.  I asked him to give me the best deal possible on a new unit.  He started out at over $8,000.00 installed for a 3.5 ton unit.  Then he called his boss and was able to get it down to $7,600.00.  I asked him to lower the price down to an even $7,000.00 and I would go with his estimate.  They refused to lower their estimate down.  So I proceeded to call around to other companies.  Wow am I glad I did.  I called about 5 different local air conditioning companies.  And I got such a broad span of estimates it's crazy.  Yes some were up there near the $7,000.00 range.  But the majority of them were around $4,500.00 - $6,000.00.  Accept for one other company.  The only other company I have ever used before.  They used to be my clients with my swimming pool business and up until I gave this business a try I had always used them to service my air conditioning.  Primarily because this was and is a truly genuinely family owned and operated company and they have always been honest with me and far lower than any other company I have ever used before.  And my air conditioning never broke when they came out and did simple necessary maintenance and repairs on it.  Unlike this business I wrote this blog for.  And actually I found out that my unit was indeed sabotaged and a hole was put into one of my coil lines that leaked out all the free on which could have resulted in burning up my compressor.  I can't prove this company did this damage but it's pretty suspicious.  Anyway I called this one last company and was blown away by them.  They installed a new 3.5 ton unit on my roof for $3,500.00 out the door.  Contact me directly if you would like their contact information.  Yelp prevents me from naming them in this review.  But trust me you do not want to throw your hard earned money away at this company.  Stay far away from this company.  Please trust me.  Don't even let them near your unit.  They may be out for something small today, but they will insure they are coming back out for something much bigger later.  Trust me people.  I am a business owner myself.

Our home had always been very dusty.  Counter Tops and Stove Tops that were cleaned after the evening meal were dusty again by breakfast.  Aside from being an incredible nuisance, it was just plain un-healthy.  We decided to take advantage of a coupon add from Emergency Air for Duct Cleaning because they advertised a free Air Quality assessment.  Mike Heydorn arrived and took the Air Sample and found the Particulate Level in our Home to be 87 PPM, which was higher than he had ever seen in a residential home.  Mike recommended a Solace Air Cleaner with an Induct 2000 Air Pure Activ-Tek Air Scrubber instead of the common Air Filters for our Air Conditioning System.  We made the decision to have it installed along with a thorough Duct Cleaning.  On Dec. 15th, 2017, Mike installed the unit, while the Ducts were being cleaned by the Emergency Air Cleaning Crew.  The difference was amazing.  Mike came back for a follow up visit a couple of weeks later and the Particulate level dropped from 87 PPM to 3 PPM.  The difference in our home was night and day.

Our 32 year old Air Conditioning Unit was very noisy and we knew it was on its last leg, and the industry average for A/C unit life is somewhere near 15 years, which started us to seriously consider the inevitable replacement.  We asked Emergency Air for a quote to replace our existing unit.  Mike told us this was the ideal time, as replacement unit prices as well as the Labor prices are historically lower because it is in the Off-season.  Mike could have simply quoted us the In-season Peak rates, but instead, He explained that significant discounts and savings were available in January, compared to waiting until spring or summer.  That is integrity and a true dedication to Customer Service that saved us well over $1100 in final costs.

Emergency Air Heating and Cooling, Mike explained, is not dedicated to any one particular Brand of Air Conditioning Unit or Manufacturer, and was happy to answer all of our questions regarding Carrier vs Trane vs Goettl etc.  Cost comparisons, Spare Part costs and availability etc.  He also went over all of our options such as Heat Pump vs Natural Gas etc., including the cost of keeping our existing unit, and the decision was left up to us as to which Manufacturer and type of unit we wanted.  After looking at the numbers and weighing all of our options, we decided to move forward with a Carrier 16 SEER Roof Top Gas Pack unit (which was actually cheaper than a comparable Trane unit) to replace our 32 year old Carrier 12 SEER Roof Top Gas Pack unit.  Emergency Air offered a 2 year, Zero Interest Financing option which clinched the deal.  Our new unit was installed on Jan 23rd 2018 in less than 4 hours, and the old unit was hauled away the same day.  I am happy to report that all is working well.

The thing that impressed us the most about Emergency Air was the level of Honesty and Sincerity.  Their Business Tactics, Professionalism, Honesty and Integrity are top notch. There were no high pressure sales tactics, and all of our questions were answered.  We're looking forward to a clean, cool and comfortable summer with lower electric bills.

Just a word of thanks to Mike Heydorn and the Crew of Emergency Air Heating and Cooling for a professional job and a stress free experience.

I highly recommend Emergency Air to anyone needing Air Conditioning or Air Quality Service.

Sincerely,
Rick N.

Here we were in 100 plus temperatures and noticed the thermostat was showing our indoor temperature was raising, quite steadily.  We are customers of Emergency Air, naturally we called them for service.  It was mid afternoon, so we figured it might be an appointment for the next day.  Within two hours, Jaime arrived at our home, within the hour our a/c was back up and operating.  It was a plugged water drain line.  Jaime stayed until he was sure the unit was functioning and our home was cooling sufficiently.  Emergency Air, with Jaime's request, will be returning to check and verify the two zone system is working correctly.  We have a service contract with Emergency Air, so they service our HVAC twice a year.  We highly recommend Emergency Air: all their service technicians are professional, clean, polite, respectful and kind.  Kudos to their office staff for courtesy and prompt scheduling and supervisors that are polite and courteous to their entire staff.  That's what makes Emergency Air a team player company!  Thanks Jaime and thanks Emergency Air!

My issue was self inflicted. We had just moved in and I was attempting to install a Nest thermostat on my own. Somewhere along the process, I managed to blow a fuse in the system. I called Emergency Air and they were able to schedule Tony to come out quickly. He fixed the fuse issue and got the Nest thermostat functioning properly.  I will definitely be calling Emergency Air for all of my HVAV needs.

I am very impressed with this company.  They are fastidious in making sure that their customers are happy and that they employ only the most knowledgeable and trustworthy technicians.  Although my experience with Emergency Air hasn't been without hiccups, I can honestly say that they did everything in their power to make sure that any wrongs were righted and remedied in an efficient and courteous manner.  They went above and beyond what most companies would do to ensure their customers' satisfaction.  Their integrity is refreshing and reassuring to see in a world of fly by night, here today gone tomorrow companies.  They are going the extra mile to ensure long-term, happy customers and referral business, and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We called Emergency Air to have a thermostat installed.  Mike showed up at the beginning of the time window they gave us.  He was very professional.  When he learned that we have a service contract in place with a competitor, he let us know that if he performed the work, it would void our contract.  He never spoke badly about the competitor, he was very professional.  He even showed us how to install the thermostat ourselves if we're so inclined.  The entire time he was here, he was very nice, always professional, and freely shared his knowledge.  When our contract is up we'll definitely be in touch with Mike.

Emergency Air has excellent customer service -
from the sales rep, installers and the service techs.
My new a/c was installed last year - it is
running quietly and my electric bills are
very reasonable.
Mike Heydorn was out here today
to do my spring tune up.  He was very
patient with me - I ask a lot of questions
and  it is good to know that EA also
offers both duct and dryer vent cleaning

Thank you Mike

I received updates about the techs arrival time which was greatly appreciated. Zach arrived promptly, introduced himself and went right to work. He informed me of the progress and what would need to be done to my air conditioner.  He even went so far as to draw a picture of how the system works with a full explanation. It was greatly appreciated and really helped me to understand the system. I signed up for the maintenance because I was very impressed with their professionalism. Thank you for taking such good care of my air conditioner.  Highly recommend this Emergency Air Heating and Cooling. Carol Foster

Just has our AC unit get its yearly service. The technician Charles did a great job as usual. He was thorough and efficient.  Last year Charles suggested putting in a device to help the compressor start quicker and easier.  It really made a difference and I believe will extend the life of the unit. We have had no issues using this company and I highly recommend them.

Being a property manager in a neighboring state- I know the value of a contractor who is professional , efficient , and priced competitively -  add to that available when needed - and you have a winning combination.  We have a second home in Scottsdale and in August we arrived late one Friday afternoon to find the AC unit would not cool or come on.   We called -  someone came that night!  Unfortunately our 25 year old unit was to be replaced. We felt comfortable and happy with pricing- and our new unit was installed the next morning.  I highly recommend !   And did I mention they were also courteous and a pleasure to work with??

Experienced tech came out on a Monday, took measurements of my AC unit area, looked up AC units, then wrote a contract and a loan agreement, before even knowing for sure they could get the correct unit, Then told me 3 days later, when their techs were here w/ the new unit, that it would not fit and they not find one that would!! wasted a week of my time not knowing up front that they could do this!! I called other companies, none of their policies is to write up a contract and make promises they can not follow through on- very poor ethics!!

This company is easy to work with. This was for a semi-annual checkup of the system. They also installed the current units earlier this year. They had availability for an appointment when I needed it. The technician called ahead and was right on time. He was easy to work with and very diligent in his inspection.

They sold us an A/C unit sold us a service contract, a new thermostat but guess what? The neglected to tell us the current air return and duct work should all be replaced. Now 3.5 years later I'm told by a new tech that I need a bigger return and my duct work needs replacing. Since the new install we've had them come and service twice a year each time letting the tech know that we had an airflow problem with two rooms in the  house. Today I was told that due to the fact that I never called and made an appointment for that they had no record of it. Oh and because the customer is NEVER wrong first rule of sales. The general manager advised me he would be canceling my service contract. Thank you but we'll take our money and business elsewhere. Choose wisely when looking to have them do business for you. They no problem always trying to up sell a UV light, circuit breaker, but could never inform us of the real problem!

TERRIBLE!  Do NOT trust this company!  I had this company come out for just a routine check up.The tech told me that there was a laundry list of problems with my units- which are top of the line. $500 for this... $800 for that...  All told, the total came to $1,800 and he said that I would be better off just getting their 5 year plan at $1,600.  I wanted to get a second opinion and had someone else come out who took a video of what he found in the attic.  He said that the Emergency Air tech couldn't have even looked at the coils which he said were so filthy, because the coil area was still completely sealed up.  Video does not lie!  I ended up needing only $125 worth of maintenance.  This company is untrustworthy!!!!  I would give them negative stars if that was possible.

I called this company when my heater went out in my house. I got there number from my awesome auto mechanics at Motortek in Mesa. I spoke with Greg and he told me they would be out in a hour and guess what they came when they said they would. The tech was very friendly and explained what went wrong and listened to my needs. He didnt just come out and tell me i needed a new unit like the first two companies. He fixed it and let me know of some other issues i didnt even notice so we repaired them also. The whole repair including the other repairs were still priced under what i was expecting. I will be calling them when i need a new unit or need other repairs. They are the first company that didnt try to rip me off. recommend this company to anyone that needs ac or heating repairs!!!!!

Emergency air had a special of $29.95 to check out the A/C.  I will say the guy was prompt, professional, and friendly. That is where the compliments end. After the inspection, it was determined that that the Evaporator Coil and Condenser Coil both needed cleaning (acid wash). The estimate -$254...not for both, but each! You would think for over $500, it would include labor. Right? Nope, that's another $110 (1 hour).  So to clean both coils on one unit, it's $618!! Then he pushed the yearly maintenance agreement for 5 years, for $1000. $618 to clean a unit is an absolute fleecing. I don't like their pricing practices and for that reason will never consider them doing any work. It's very clear to me what they are trying to do and I think it's  morally wrong. Take a look at Gregg B's comment on Benjamin's post about the reason they are expensive. It's because they are big with large overhead. Ha, Ha, really? That's the explanation?  The mom and pop shops vehicle purchase price must cost less because they can only buy one or two at a time. Their parts (coils, thermostats, etc) must cost less because they can order them in smaller quantities.  Let's talk about overhead. Each tech has a certain overhead and revenue potential. Add more techs, yes the overhead rises, but so does the revenue!!!! So, if that ratio is out of whack then something else is wrong. There's many advantages to being large.  Saying that's it's acceptable to charge much much more it appears, for the same parts and etc. because you're a large company makes no sense. Whew, thanks for that insight. Mom and Pop shops with much lower purchase power from now on!!

We recently were contacted by the company to come and do a maintenance check on our air conditioner and we gladly accepted seeing how we are having a record breaking hot summer. The man notified us that he would be here between 3-5 and actually called us prior to showing up at our home. He came and checked our a/c and assured us it was in great shape. He even cleaned our coils for us. He was also nice enough to program our a/c to cool down the house prior to us coming home from work. Overall, this was by far the best experience I've ever had with an a/c company. Thank you!

Very Shady! was told on the phone it would cost $89.95 for service call+cost of thermostat($60 and up) to replace my old one and the technician would have a few I could pick from. Technician arrived on time and told me he had 2 thermostat I can choose from, one is $260, and the other $280 + taxes which would include the service call charge. went with the $260 one, after he finished the job around 20 minutes and went outside to write an invoice he came back with a total of $303 saying there is labor. after I said that I was told the  service call fees +the thermostat cost  was all I suppose to pay , he told me just write a check for $260. later I found out the Honeywell Focus Pro 6000 thermostat only cost about $55.  and there are no taxes with this type of work. I called two other places. Arizona Dukes Air told me $199 out the door with that same thermostat and JMAC Heating And Cooling told me $180 out the door. bottom line they will over charge you and not very honest!

My experience is almost exactly like Bryan K.'s review. Got Emergency's business card from the Welcome Wagon when I bought my home. Did'nt do my due diligence and just called them to check on my AC unit. The technician checked everything out and at first said I needed a new capacitor. A few minutes later he asked me to sit down at the kitchen to explain what was going on. I was going to need a new capacitor, cleaning, freon...... He said this would cost $700 but because my units were old he would suggest a 10 year maintenance contract for $1,200. He had his pitch book open on the table and he was pushing the contract super hard. Going on about all the great savings. It made me uncomfortable. I told him all I wanted was to fix the system but he would not let go. He was not leaving until he sold me that maintenance contract. Along with the contract was two complimentary inspections each year. My experience is that this is just an opportunity to get in your house and sell you more parts and service each time. The few times I called them to inspect they came to my home, found deficiencies, charged me for something and recommended I buy a new unit from them. I've since had another company come in who found a small freon leak in my attic. They fixed it at a nominal charge and now everything works great. Even though I still have a maintenance contract with Emergency I will not have them in my home again. I have had many great service experiences in the Phoenix area. My Emergency experince was not one of them.

I have had a terrible time with my air conditioning. I had a company who said they fixed it, and I had major drywall repair done, but it still leaked. After spending thousands of dollars, and countless visits, I called Mike from Emergancy repair. He fixed the problem in a short time with little cost. He also showed me that the prior company had charged me for things that should have never been done and took complete advantage of me. I'm a single Mom and it infuriates me that there are so many dishonest companies and people willing to take advantage of people who don't have knowledge in these areas. Mike talked with me, was very professional, extremely knowledgable and the most important thing, was so HONEST! I will never go to anyone else and I'm telling all my friends and family to keep this number on hand if they ever run into a air conditioning problem. I don't want anyone else to have to go through what I have. This is the first review I've ever posted, but I felt it was so important that I did.  Thank you Mike!!!!!
