I rent a house in Oakland. The Landlord is not local, so for any repairs I do all the coordination. There have been a number of plumbing issues in the last few years, and each time the owner/landlord asks me to get a few quotes. I won't be doing that anymore. I'm just going to call Ygnacio and Odi at Oakland Rooter Plumbing Co.

Whether it's fixing a leaky shower, replacing an o-ring that's out of production, or installing a tankless water heater these guys have been the best service and the best price. Every. Time.

No problem is too big or too small, they'll have some out to look at it and give you a fair assessment of what you need, along with a reasonable price. Then they fix it. If you're uncertain or confused, they'll explain everything to you in a way you can understand, and give you options for what to do. Seriously good folks to work with.

The bottom line is they care about their customers, and it shows. As long as I live in the Oakland area, these are my go to guys. Thank you!

I just had the privilege of working with Julio from Golden State Plumber (he just left about 10 minutes ago). I am getting my house ready to rent and the water valves under the kitchen sink needed to be upgraded. Julio was fast, friendly and professional. He even left the space under the sink cleaner than he found it! He is returning to update the gas line for the stove. After the nightmare I had with the last contractor ( repeated call backs to fix mistakes which led me to firing them); It is nice to have someone who does it right the first time. Below are some before and after pictures of his work.

Richard saved the day!! Our drain was clogged and I called him this morning and he was able to come within the hour and fix our drain.. Took him some time to get the drain cleared but he cleared the blockage. Very reasonable cost as well. Highly recommended!!

We had had Adam out three separate times now for three separate jobs. He has replaced our hot water heater under and the pipes leading to it when we had a broken pipe situation. He has replaced the valves under both master bathroom sinks, and finally Adam added an additional water shut off valve to make it easier for us to changed the water filleted for the house water filtration system. On all three jobs Adam was exceptional! His work was excellent, he is tidy, as other reviewers have mentioned he will explain as much or little as you want, he is very forthcoming and honest, his prices are very fair and on top of everything he is a super nice guy. We will call him again without hesitation!

You have found your forever plumbing business! Mike and his team are professional, friendly, quick, efficient, skilled, reliable, and affordable. They stand behind their work.  If yo ever have questions or concerns, they explain everything in great detail. I never have to worry if something goes wrong now that I found these guys.  We have had them for many things but today was their biggest job to date for us, which was a water heater. I felt confident they were going to do a great job, and I was right. Everything was done perfectly. This business also is neat and clean, and removes all traces that work was ever done. I will be using them long into the future when I have a touch of gray.

My kid flushed toys down the toilet and it was clogged beyond what I could handle.  They came out and fixed the toilet in like 30 minutes.  The price was totally reasonable and they were professional!

Had a leaky faucet hose which is near impossible to find outside of the manufacturer. Considering that would have taken weeks, I sought an emergency repair plumber. Awais was very helpful and provided a quote immediately after asking a few details. Was even kind enough to buy the new faucet which he included in quote price. The install was quick and he was very polite throughout the entire exchange. Would definitely recommend if you're ever in need of plumbing work.

Abdul did he pretty good job with the clog that I had on my sink. He promptly responded to my request and that was on a weekend.
Overall the price did go up a little bit but I understand that it was due to repair work going beyond what was initially scoped for. I would recommend him.

The best. We discovered a water leak, contacted Oak Plumbing & Johnny was at our door the same day. He was totally professional, informative & sympathetic to our situation. Highly recommend.

Dmitri is a highly skilled professional. He is an honest person, and know quite a few different trades, including plumbing, fence, wall, gutter, epoxy, electricals, and many more.

I hired him doing many different jobs after purchasing an old property. He is smart enough to figure out things.

Most importantly, he is a hard worker and trust worthy.

Steve Simms and his excellent team have provided all of the plumbing for our property (3 wells) as well as the plumbing on our newly constructed residence. They do great work and are extremely reliable and concerned about getting things done right. There are some systems you don't want to make a big mistake on installation and maintenance - plumbing is one of them. Steve knows his stuff and has done a remarkable job of assembling and training a great local team to meet the needs of the community. It just doesn't get any better than this when it comes to managing water.

Van called me up Monday evening and said he would be here at about 9:00 am the next morning. He was here at 8:30. No problem. The sewer line in the driveway was backed up and he started right away. Cleaned the line (roots from bush) and had everything cleaned up and running great in a short time. Highly recommend. Thank you Van. Larry

Got a clogged kitchen sink, and failed with another plumbing company even with snake, twice.
As I hesitated to break the wall and replace the pipe, I decided to try my luck with OC on the second day. Alex came to rescue and got it unclogged with just another snake!
During the way he also noticed my faucet was leaking, and suggested a replacement. Fair price so I gave it a go.
As Alex was pulled to another site, Diego came to replace the faucet half an hour later. We got a 1/2 inch water pipe so they had to get a converter for 3/8 inch. Long story short, got shiny new faucet working quite fast.

Seems like Joe had a real family emergency and he felt really sorry for the way he left me waiting. This time he offered me free install of the faucet that I ordered online and cleared one of the toilet clogs. Despite my attempts to pay for the service Joe said I am really sorry for your experience and consider this my token of gratitude for letting me come by and complete the work. Now why did leave the 1 star off and give 4 stars .. well turns out there is a small gap between the kitchen sink and the platform, which is a bigger leak than the filter faucet. I wish the first inspection identified this. Now I have to wait and find the right people to fix the Cualking or even worse replace the kitchen sink. All in all I am extremely happy with the punctuality of this company. They promise to be on time and 2 times in a row a minute before shceduled time slot. They give an exact time for appointment instead of a 2 hour window like most other facilities companies do. Keep up the good work. Leaving my previous review here for historical reference only

I would have given negative stars if it was possible.
Looking at only 2 reviews on Yelp for this new business wanted to try them. The first impression was good. They responded with a quote within an hour. Scheduled diagnostic appointment with a note: 89$ cost will be used towards repairs. Tech arrived one minute before scheduled time. I was impressed and happy.

Fast forward to estimate for repairs it was high. and when called Mr Joe was rude and said you run a business and tell me how much it will take to repair these things. and by the way to sent my technician back after diagnosis so 89$ will be not be subtracted from total for repairs. Then after a few phone calls, text messages Joe agreed to cover the 89$ into repair cost. and scheduled repair appointment.

30 mins before scheduled appointment time I get a text from Joe saying he has a family emergency. I hope all is well. Then no response to my calls, voicemails or text messages. At least have the human courtesy to let me know you are not available. Never going to call this guy again.
Joe doesn't know how to handle business and clients. Very poor customer service

Kenny warned me about a potential plumbing problem and I didn't listen to him, stupid me! The freeze is here and yes my pipes broke, called Kenny Rogers Plumbing and BAM he was on it. What GREAT SERVICE !! Great response and a fair price, what more could you want?

Drain and water have been a life saver for me. I got an appointment the next day , Axel and crew came over , ran the video line , explained everything to me , did a temporary fix and gave a competitive quote compared to others. After I signed with them , they  exactly stuck to the timeline, took care of permits and inspection and did their work extremely professionally. While I hope I don't run into too many drainage issues  , they will be my go-to guys and highly recommend them.for everyone!

I found Royal plumbing very professional, timely, and efficient. I had a clogged sink that really really backed up, and they fixed it really quickly, and at a really good price.

Had these guys out for a $8500 job to change out sewer drain pipe plus a couple other related things.  When plumber started digging out the pipe, we found out one part of the quote was not necessary.  The plumber told me they took care of me on the quote, and I didn't check his numbers. After the job was done, I stupidly didn't look over the invoice carefully.  I checked the invoice the next day when I had some time and found I had still been charged $700 (down from the original $1200) for the part of the job that was already done when they got here and they literally had to do nothing for.  I called to ask a supervisor about this and he (Phil) told me I Should have negotiated on the spot.  Fair enough. Hopefully somebody else can learn from my mistake. When these guys say they took care of you they're still expecting you to negotiate in order to not pay for work you didn't get... I'm actually really happy with the quality of the work, but I feel like I got screwed on the pricing.

No knowledge of fixing hot water heater at all.
We have paid $125 first trip +$200 second trip to 99 Dollars plumbing
But they didn't solve the problem on no hot water coming out.
We end up have it repaired by a handyman who replaced the burner.
The burner was provided by Rheem warranty program.
The handyman we hired said, it should  be easy to read red lights on the control valve which tells you which part may be the problem .
There was No formal invoice
No repair description on the receipt
