Dustin fit me into his busy schedule and came over to take care of a bunch of minor plumbing fixes that I needed, and he came through one day and fixed the majority of it, ordered parts and came back a couple days later, and finished it all up and I've never been happier. Professional service, and very timely. Thanks Dustin!

Absolutely phenomenal service! We had a major problem with a toilet and I had just returned from 2 weeks in the hospital. They promptly responded to our call. Sherry (?) was understanding and extremely helpful.

Simms has provided plumbing service on a number of occasions.  Always professional and they are usually able to respond quickly (which is pretty much what you need for plumbing issues).   Steve is hands on and went above and beyond in making sure I was happy with an ejection pump replacement.  They also did a great job with a dual water tank install and have cleared my drains/lines a few times with priority.  It is a pleasure to do business with Steve and his team.

I was referred to Simms for a 2nd opinion. We were told the repair was major and the cost $3100-3500.

Simms returned our call in 24 hours. The had a tech come out the same day. They said the repair was not major and would be under$200.00.

The work was complete in 30 minutes or less and I could jot thank them enough. This all happened during Christmas.

I would refer them to anyone! They are probably the last truthful plumbing service in business!

This is a double edged sword kind of critique . I love Simms and use them alot but .......when you call the office it is by far the worst customer service ever ! Bar none ,..W , ever  , you don't even know you're calling Simms , I literally had to ask twice . If I could give them a 0 stars just for the office lack of enthusiasm and downright rude behavior I would and I love these guys  .
Other than the front office's worst customer service ever the crew is awesome and their work at Simms is incredibly good . I use them all the time here in rural La Honda . They are awesome .

These folks are the best. Professional, courteous, prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, quick. Very good service! I do not normally write reviews, but these folks deserve a fine review after 3 years of excellent service on our well and various other plumbing issues around the house.

Called to get an estimate, was told I will get a call from owner Steve. Never called. I followed up again and was given the run around again. Very unprofessional. Do not bother with this company.

Simms have been our go-to plumbers for over forty years.  That says a lot.  The Simms brothers originally plumbed the house we've been in for thirty years and have taken care of the household plumbing and the well ever since.  (Just sorry they don't do irrigation too!)  They are always reliable and the office staff is great.  They bend over backwards to take care of their customers, and their rates are reasonable.

We have had the pleasure of using Simm's twice since we moved to the coast. In both cases they were excellent!  Ada came out today. We live in Canada Cove and have been Coastside residents for over 15 years. Simm's is locally owned and operated with the same employees, that says a lot!  Thanks Simm's

Our interactions with Simms were marked by a lack of written estimates, using the most expensive fix first and generally unprofessional customer relations. Would NOT recommend them.

Ada, a plumber from Simm's, came to my home today to take care of what I thought were clogged pipes and to repair a rusted hose bib.  He found that the problem wasn't clogged pipes and helped me understand that the problem is a couple of old, worn out toilets.  He did repair the hose bib and a faucet that wasn't working properly in my bathroom.    This type of honesty from a plumber was extremely refreshing and very welcome.  He was wonderfully friendly and helpful with advice on what types of toilets to get.    

Thank  you SIMMS!  I really recommend this terrific business.

Peter from Simms came by today to replace my pressure gauge for the house plumbing.  Did a great job!  Watched him for awhile...he did great work!  Checked a few of my other systems before he left.  I set up an annual check up with them.  Highly recommended!

I agree with the other comments - the work is stellar. The plumbers are quick and professional. I appreciated the fact they tried to give me the least expensive solution. Lately it feels like businesses have forgotten the old adage the customers always right but not Simms. They have a customer for life.

This plumbing service was hired as part of our house purchase.  The realtor hired him but we were forced  to pay as part of escrow.  

Educate yourself about wells before agreeing to things like:

Skipping having a water storage tank and running directly into your house.

Called mid-day about a sewage pump that wasn't working. The woman I spoke with (Shelly?) was very knowledgeable and helpful. Had the tech at our house the next day exactly as promised. The pump was repaired with no problems since. Will definitely call them again for any plumbing related problem.

Had a pipe fitting fail on saturday morning of a 3-day weekend.  Calle the office, left a message and Mike arrived within an hour or so.  Made the repair quickly and professionally and departed.  Assuming they charge reasonable prices when I get the bill I'll be happy, especially when there was no other plumber working the holiday!

Simms did a fantastic job for us. Ada was knowledgable, patient, and very professional. He fixed a problem at my business promptly and really helped with some long term plumbing issues we've had at home for some time.

I highly recommend Simms plumbing and will be using them from now on.

Our 13 year old hot water heater broke down on Sunday.  I called Simm's at 8 a.m.   They asked me to take a photo of our heater and email it.  I was called back in 5 minutes by Shelly.  She said a repair man was coming out this morning.  Mike arrived by 9:30 a.m. and finished the work by 11 a.m. installing our new hot water heater.  He was friendly, courteous, and professional showing me how to relight the heater if necessary.  I really appreciate Simm's quick response and work.  We will get our bill in the mail.  Great to see this kind of service on the coastside.

Simm's pluming is absolutely wonderful; professional, knowledgeable and offer exceptional customer service. I manage a six room Inn, that has had it share of plumbing issues. Kathy and Sherry, who work in the office take excellent care of me, I have never met them in person but I feel we are already old friends, Elias, Steve and crew arrive on time make all necessary repairs in a very professional manner and leave the work area in perfect condition.  Professionally and personally I will only use Simm's Plumbing.

We live on a well here on the coast and the filter tank's piping broke off because it was too old. All of a sudden, we were without water and had to call a plumber. We called Simm's Plumbing, a local business and they came within a few hours to do the repair.
Mike came and put new copper piping on the tank and restored our well within the hour.

I can't recommend them enough for being available when needed, coming on time, doing an excellent job and at a reasonable price. They will be our only go-to plumbers from now on.

I used Simm's for some project work on my house a few years ago and they were fantastic! On time, professional and very friendly and knowledgeable. Add reasonable pricing to that list and you have all you could want in a plumbing service company. I had several teams from different companies doing all sorts of work on my house at the same time back then(flooring, painting, roofing, electrical and of course plumbing)and they were adept at maneuvering through all the hustle and bustle with out a single hitch.

Today I had them out again for some other plumbing work I needed done and just as before I was impressed. Veronica was very accommodating with scheduling, and I  immediately felt like my family and I were in good hands. Ada was the gentleman that came out to the house to check a few different problems that were plaguing my aging home.

Ada was great. He was quick but not rushed and he took time while he worked to answer all of my many questions. He offered great suggestions and his solutions to my problems were well explained in a manner that was very easy to understand. He was relaxed and friendly and inspired confidence.

With my past experience with his company I knew I could trust he was giving the best options that really fit my needs.

He swiftly provided the work I had originally called them out for, and for the new stuff I sprang on him he asked if it would be alright to have the office call me to schedule a return trip. It was a very reasonable request, so I agreed.

When I got the call just minutes after he left, Veronica again set up an appointment that was perfect for my needs. I knew if it was a more urgent problem that they would have made that work for me too.

I don't usually go on this much about a company and their service but I made an exception here because they were so exceptional.

When a company obviously hires such great employees and offers such a consistently excellent level of service like this, the choice is clear. For anything related to plumbing and water heaters, I'm going with Simm's.

On time and everything worked like a charm afterward!  Would recommend for their quality and professional service.

We experienced a leaky water heater emergency over the weekend flooding our garage.  Plumbing companies advertise 24 hour emergency service, only Simm's Plumbing responded quickly & efficiently.  They even offered service when we had committed to another company.
 
All Valley Plumbing claims 24 hour service, no response after 6 calls. We were even willing to pay additional fees for weekend or quicker service. All Valley Plumbing scheduled our installation appointment for 5 days later.  We had already been out of hot water for 2 days. Consequently, no hot water for 7 days caused us to cancel. Steer away and don't waste your time with All Valley Plumbing. They misrepresent and are outrageously unresponsive.
 
Steve Simm's saved the day! He came out to verify our installation that morning and Mike professionally installed the new water heater that afternoon.  So many plumbing companies taught 24 service we only found one that delivered.

I rarely write reviews but I'm compelled to in this case. EDDY/EDUARDO from Simm's is THE most trust-worthy, knowledgeable, hard-working amazing plumber we have ever met - and we met with a lot of plumbers when we found out that a bunch of drains in our old house had basically rotted away. Scary stuff. Some were telling us to drill out an entire corridor through the house and refinished floor that we had JUST restored. But Eddy clearly knew his stuff and helped us fix the situation with minimal damage with a quality, long term solution. All the other plumbers were quoting us the most unbelievable numbers but Eddy helped us figure out what really needed to be done and six months later we are so grateful we listened to him and got his help. I really, really don't know what we would have done without his guidance and expertise. Super hard working and experienced and honest. Thank you Eddy! Look no further - this is your guy/company!!

I can't  say enough positive things about Simms Plumbing.  They are professional, efficient, prompt, courteous and meticulous, They installed a dishwasher for me recently, Eduardo, was the technician, and he did a fabulous job and was thorough, neat, and obviously took pride in his work.  I could not be happier with their scheduling and service and highly recommend Simms Plumbing!

Simms plumbing came out to do estimates on repairs after our home inspection when we were buying a house. This included running PVC pipe to multiple sump pumps to the exterior, and fixing some corroded piping under the house. The guys that came out were great-- they communicated well and just got busy fast. I felt good enough about the situation I went to work, and they locked up nicely behind them.
Their pricing seems reasonable and they did a great job-sure we will be using them again next time.

These guys (Elias especially) are the greatest!  Very knowledgeable, efficient, reasonably priced, and professional. Elias spent 45 minutes with me on the phone late on a Friday night to help me disengage a sprinkler that was out of control. He and his team are fantastic.

I'm extremely satisfied with Steve Simms!  I'm a new homeowner in Montara with a private well.  Steve did a well inspection before I purchased the home, which I had the previous owners pay for.  But after I moved in, as a first time well owner, I called Steve to enquire about the test results and how to maintain the well.  Not only did Steve explain the test results, he came to my home personally to explain how the well works and how to maintain it -  well beyond my expectations.

Today I noticed some problems with my water pressure and found that the storage tank was depleted - some problem with the pump occured without my noticing and now I had no water to my home.  And it was a Saturday.  I called Simms Plumbing and left a voicemail, not expecting to hear from them until office hours resumed on Monday.  But, I got a call from Steve within a few hours.  Steve talked me through the troubleshooting on the phone, and we were able to resolve the issue!  Water back on!  Awesome!  I thought I was going to go the weekend without water, but thanks to Steve's promptness and knowledge, I'm back in business.  Thanks Steve!

We've used Simm's for the last 6 years for everything from water mains to gas lines and they are far and above the best around.  They are fast, friendly and really try to juggle their schedule to fit your situation.  The work they do is very clean and top-notch high quality.  Do it once, do it right - call Simm's Plumbing!

I cannot tell you how great these guys & ladies are! I have used them a couple of times and they have always been wonderful but today I just had to give one of the guys a big hug. These people went WAY overboard in helping us get the our new stove hooked up just one day before the Christmas holiday. Including but not limited to calling the place we got the range from, to track down a missing (we thought) part, They worked their schedule around our stove delivery and just really, really made our day! They are the BEST!

I recently had to replace my water heater which was connected in an unconventional manner.  Two other companies came out and gave me very high quotes citing the difficulty of installation.  Bottom line is that Simms came out and did the whole job including parts and labor for what the other companies wanted to charge in labor.

Simms also went the extra mile to ensure that my unconventional hook-up was safe.  These people will work with you.

I have used Simms off and on for years, with no regrets. I have a difficult well setup, and they have successfully repaired problems on more than one occasion, and have revised some of my installations to improve reliability from what I had previously put in.

Thought our tankless water heater replacement would be an easy task but realized we were in way over our heads when reading the guide. Called Simm's  on recommendation & reputation, and they did not disappoint. Elias came to measure and assess the  layout and Eduardo came back to do the job once we had all the necessary supplies. He upgraded everything and we are quite pleased with the results.  As others have already stated, our  experience with staff was that they are all courteous, knowledgeable and professional. We highly recommend and will continue to call Simm's for any future plumbing needs.

Top Notch... it took a while however they were able to find a difficult to find lid for a pump. The current lid had rusted through and contents were not being contained [very messy business].  Work was done immediately. The only issue was that I had to keep calling. They said they would call back but then didn't. It is understandable..they are busy.... but this happened more than once or twice. However, I wouldn't hesitate and I will call them out again for any plumbing need! They are thorough, clean up was immaculate, and they were on time for the service call.

Steve Simms is a master.  His team does great work - we've had him do some drain + fixture service work - and the office follows up.  I reffered him to a friend who was having a complex water quality issue and he identified it and fixed it.  He's methodical and thorough - you couldn't want more from a plumber and if you have a water treatment system there is really no finer guy around.

Always great service, on time, and complete no matter how big or how small.  I've used them several times with no issues.  Last week, my appointment was from 9-11.  When the doorbell rang at 8:55 I thought, who the hell is that?  It was Simms.  A contractor that shows up on time.  I didn't think they still existed!

Being relatively new to the peninsula, when our drains were starting to become problematic, we asked around to other locals for recommendations.  One name consistently came back - Steve Simms in Pescadero.

We called his office and arranged a service call. The serviceman was prompt and did a wonderful job on our drain in less than an hour.

We've found our local plumber and highly recommend him.

Well, I hesitate to add to the me too chorus -- but yes, these folks are great.

The venting and plumbing for our water heaters and radiant floor heat system were poorly done by the original builder. A complete mess. We hired Bay Area Plumbing and Heating out of San Carlos -- and they made it worse stringing us out over several months! (You can search for my review of them for details). We were finally referred to Simms, and boy, do I wish we had found them first.

The initial tech Elias came out and diagnosed a bad water hammer issue in less than 30 minutes. He completed much of the fix right then in about 2 hours. We was extremely knowledgeable, respectful of our home, efficient and explained things very clearly. The next day he came back with his boss, Steve Simms, and they further diagnosed all that was wrong with our stupid system and how the previous plumber had mangled it further.

We also had an unrelated jacuzzi tub issue that Elias went through Herculean efforts to fix -- it was an impossibly tight squeeze were a tube had been severed by a rat, and he persisted until he finally was able to thread the new tube.

In just a few days of having called these guys, they were able to diagnose and fix everything. Steve also provided us with a thorough write-up that we could use to get some money back from the prior plumber.

Veronica, the office manager, was also extremely friendly and helpful in getting us squared away with prompt appointments and the write-up.

My only two complaints are that they do not accept credit cards and that the invoice/write-up took a little longer than we would have liked (but completely understandable because it was around the Thanksgiving holiday).

Overall, a highly competent, prompt and ethical contractor. We will definitely call on them for future needs.

My water heater went out the same morning a tree limb feel on my roof. It wasn't a good day. I called Simm's Plumbing and asking if they could come out that morning to replace the water heater that day. But I would not be at home. They said that they would try to get someone out. When I got home the water heater was replaced. Everything was cleaned up. I had hot water. Wow! How nice. So little effort. By the way the tree limb was removed by another company and no damage to my roof. it turned out to be a good day.

I found Simms by recommendation of a heating business owner, and I am beyond satisfied with their service and price.  My 10+ year old water heater stopped working (pilot lit would not stay lit), and Simms made it to my home the very next morning after calling the previous afternoon.  I was told the technician would inspect my old heater and try to repair, but they'd also bring a new heater just in case we needed a replacement.  I thought it well organized that they asked upfront what size heater I needed to be efficient with time, but I was honestly worried that they really wouldn't try to fix my old heater and simply sell me a new one.  What a pleasant surprise when the technician fixed it quickly (replaced thermocouple)!  How refreshing to have an honest company to deal with, and the technician was very friendly and informative.  Since my current heater is so old, the technician talked me through a future replacement and is going to send me a quote with our bill.  Simms has won my business going forward.  Thank you Simms!

Steve Simms and his excellent team have provided all of the plumbing for our property (3 wells) as well as the plumbing on our newly constructed residence. They do great work and are extremely reliable and concerned about getting things done right. There are some systems you don't want to make a big mistake on installation and maintenance - plumbing is one of them. Steve knows his stuff and has done a remarkable job of assembling and training a great local team to meet the needs of the community. It just doesn't get any better than this when it comes to managing water.

Simms is AMAZING!! They always show up when they say they will and do excellent work. Most important, they are TRUSTWORTHY. For those of us who live in outlying areas on the Coast, they always go the extra mile for us--literally! I can't praise them highly enough. Ethical, professional, the best.

We were NOT satisfied with Simm's. We explained we needed to get an estimate for water heater and toilet work in a trailer, they sent a tech out to the site(!) and after several calls because they didn't call us, and waiting more than a week with a very bad toilet situation, we finally found out when we pressed, that they don't even carry parts, get parts, or do work on trailers!! Couldn't that have been told to us before they even came out, or made us wait??

We have called Simm's many times over the past few years. They have always provided the best service I could hope for. Today we woke up with a ruptured water heater. They worked with us to accomplish this without any disruption in our schedule. Every time we have called them they have responded in a very timely manner. The work is always done to the highest quality and cost effectively. And they are so pleasant. We will never use any other plumber.

These guys and gals are the best. They have saved me many times from going without hot water, and they fix well equipment also.
