Our 10+ year old water heater failed over the weekend, and I checked out Yelp and Nextdoor for recommendations. Dependable Water Heaters caught my eye based in the number of very positive reviews/recommendations. Calling their number, Adrian was able to give me an anticipated price over the phone, based on the size and type of water heater I was replacing. The price seemed fair, and I liked his straightforward and upfront approach.
Adrian arrived today at the scheduled time, and made short work of replacing our heater, and cold water supply shutoff valve. In the process he brought the installation up to current code (gas line trap added, and secured the heater stand) ahead of an upcoming permit inspection. He appears to have the process down to a fine art at this point.
Adrian also walked me through the lighting process, how to adjust the water temperature to suit our preference (with small kids, we didn't want to have super hot water), and how to flush the heater once a year to prolong its life. Adrian also advised that I replace the water flex couplings every 5 years to avoid a repeat of the flex coupling slow leak and resulting corrosion problem that had, likely, helped to kill our old water heater.
Adrian was really pleasant to talk with during the installation, was happy to answer all my questions, and came across as being totally genuine and customer focused. I'd expected that, based on the other reviews on Yelp, but it was nice to see that my own experience aligned with those reviews.
Very pleased with the quality and cost of the service provided. I would thoroughly recommend this company based on my experience today!

When I got to the garage this morning, our water heater started leaking...I found this company on Thumbtack and they offered to come on the same day to fix it! He also provides a quote right away, very straightforward and transparent pricing. After quoting a few others we chose them because they offer the most reasonable price. Oleskii definitely knows his stuff - he told us the problem right away, the material cost, and overall itemized cost. All very clear and specific. He got the job done with no issue. Def highly recommended!

Found out our washer hookup was rusted out the day our new washer was supposed to be installed. Called Total Plumbing Services and they came over same day to evaluate and fix. Fix looks great, service was efficient, and William was extremely professional and pleasant. The whole experience made what could have been a real pain as easy as possible.

Had a 15+ year water heater, noticed serious corrosion on bottom side of tank and decided to replace. Initially thought would use Home Depot installation services, but was shocked at the quote estimate (included costs for permits, and several questionable upgrades). I wanted to get the tank replaced over the holiday weekend and selected Plumb Tech based on high Yelp reviews (also they were the only company available that weekend!)
They did a great job - came out at the appointed time, installed the new water heater properly and did a good job at a good price (about 60% of Home Depot's estimate). The next day there was a minor issue that needed attention and they came out promptly to resolve. Ivan and crew were a pleasure to deal with.
Good, helpful service at a good price. What more can you ask for? Recommended.

Juan and his crew fixed my problem with the sink. Also suggested to fix my pipes in the craw space to prevent future problems. Thanks!

Excellent communication and attention to detail. I scheduled an emergency visit from Nick. He was able to squeeze me into schedule. I was afraid he might rush but he took his time, provided advice, asked that a call back is I saw any issues. It's been several weeks and everything working perfect.
Nick is a perfectionist and very friendly. Give him a call to get the job done right.

I was installing a new garbage disposal and it turned out my old garbage disposal was a mutant and no new garbage disposal would fit properly with the existing piping under the sink. Not wanting to redo the piping myself (moving it about 1 inch, which would likely entail redoing half the piping), I called a few plumbers in the area (on a Saturday morning).
Simply Green was the only plumber, of the 4 I called, that actually answer the phone. His guy was right around the corner finishing up another job, and after 2 follow-up calls to me, his guy was at my house within an hour of my initial call. So, remarkably great initial follow-up and service.
Wilver arrived, donned booties to make sure my floor didn't get dirtied, and assessed the situation. He said no problem and suggested, since he was there anyway, that he replace the strainer on the 2nd sink bowl (the sink is 2 bowls side by side, one side had the garbage disposal which I already installed, and the 2nd bowl was untouched). I said OK and he went to ready his quote.
He came back and gave me a quote of $420. Ouch... The moving/changing of the pipes came to $191 and replacing the strainer was $229. I first asked him how long this would all take, he said 1 hour. I asked him how much were there in parts? He said $20. I asked him what his hourly labor rate is, he said $150. Something isn't adding up! I decided to live with my old strainer and go forward with the $191 re-piping.
I know Simply Green is proud of their no surcharges for weekend or late night work, but with these prices there wouldn't be a need as there appears to be a Los Gatos surcharge already built in.
Price aside, this company is fantastic. Great communication, available when others aren't, the actual plumber that came was a professional, both in cleanliness (wore booties and put down a mat to work on) and capabilities. The quality of work was excellent and once started he was done in 30 minutes.
If price were not an object this review would have been 5 stars, and more if possible. But, price does matter, at least to me, and I was in a bit of sticker shock. But, then again, with 90% of the contractors I have over I get sticker shock. Its that Los Gatos tax, I think.

Professional and friendly service
KVN Plumbing did a good job helping me replace my tub spout. Kevin responded to me within hours on a Sunday and serviced my tub spout the next day. He was professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the process. I would work with KVN Plumbing again

I'm usually only here to write bad reviews when something or someone fails to satisfy me, so this five star review is new for me, but I'll try since it is totally deserved. My hot water heater failed...I called Sears...they scheduled me for a look-see: in 4 weeks! You try not taking a shower for 4 weeks, I said to the handset as I slammed it back into it's cradle. I subsequently came to Yelp for help, and took a leap of faith with Johnny - now I'm a believer, and just out of a hot shower after only 1 day. He's polite, unassuming, friendly, drives a nice new plumbing van and not a rusted out wreck, and came to my rescue the next day (I called at 7PM and he answered!). He didn't complain about two flights of stairs (oops, my bad Johnny: did I forget to mention those?), and took extra effort to protect my wood floors. But what impressed me the most was the quality of his work: new gas shut-off valve, legal earthquake straps, new copper pipe, and he even cleaned the overflow tray and floor in the hot water closet - all this without me having to ask, and believe me all the old equipment was OLD. Johnny rocks, and that's no bs.

I called Marco for a wet drywall and carpets problem. He was very professional. He helped me to find the leak quickly and fixed it with reasonable cost. I highly recommend Reed Plumbing.

Had to look for a plumber to fix an emergency leak from our refrigerator. Gator Rooter and Plumbing answered right away and was able to make it out the same day within a few hours after I called.
Nestor showed up on time and was very helpful with explaining the issue to me and even had to run out to Home Depot to purchase the part needed. He's very communicative and detailed with the work that was done. I would definitely be calling them again for any future plumbing issues I come across.

Hired Tegene Handyman Services to help dismount a tv mirror cabinet and could not recommend their services higher. Very responsive, arrived on time, provided transparent pricing, and completed the project on time. Would definitely hire Tegene Handyman Services for future projects.

Art is a wonderful plumber. We needed a last minute copper pipe soldering job and after searching Yelp, I stumbled across Art. I gave him a call at 4:45pm and he came within 30 minutes. Very professional and good at his craft. Very fair pricing and he explains exactly what he is doing. Highly recommend and I look forward to using Art again in the future for any plumbing project.

Pros: friendly & efficient telephone scheduling; timely arrivals for appointments; friendly staff; although they charged me to do unnecessary work to try to fix their mistake, they made several repeat visits without charge afterwards in a good faith effort to resolve their installation issue
Cons: they installed a check valve backwards; sloppy workmanship including leaving solder splatters in work area, not replacing the insulation wrapped on hot water pipes and using a rubber band to secure a sensor to a hot water pipe instead of properly using a zip tie
Conclusion: I had to hire another plumber to fix the problem, who quickly realized After Hour had installed a check valve backwards. Nice people but After Hour didn't do good work.

I had a great experience with Rocky's Plumbing and Rooter. A previous company had left me in a terrible situation and unhooked my hot water tank, leaving me with no heat. Rocky's came out and diagnosed the problem again, got my heat started and made a follow up appointment to do minor repairs. I am with American Home Shield and he worked with them to get my water heater working but didn't try to upsell me on a costly replacement when it wasn't needed. He advised me on what to look for and when it would need to be replaced. I will definitely be calling Rocky's Plumbing and Rooter for all of my future plumbing needs. I found them easy to work with, reliable and quick to respond, plus great service at excellent prices. And very efficient at working with my home warranty coverage which is most important since that's what I'm paying for to not have these costly repairs.

Called BFP, via their 800 number that advertises 24/7 emergency services, on a Friday night. I tell them i need a plumber to come by and install a new toilet and toilet flange. The Old one was wobbly and water started leaking from the base.
The person on the line said they can have someone out on Sunday from 10am to 2pm. Kinda odd that it would be (3) days for emergency work. She did say it was pretty busy after the holidays and i have a spare bathroom i can use anyways, so i agreed to the appointment. I gave her my name, address, cell phone number and email address. She said she would be sending me a confirmation email shortly. Never arrived. Please note that during the call, i ask her a few times that it will be on sunday from10 to 2.
Sunday comes around and i wait all day for the plumber... No one shows up or calls to inform that no one is arriving. So now i am scrambling to find a plumber.
I finally find someone that is local and schedules work to be done on Tuesday. While i am at a dentist appointment on Monday, someone from BFP calls and leaves a voicemail that they have a plumber in the area and they can be there at 11am.
Hmmm, my appointment was for Sunday from 10am to 2 pm and they call the next day and say they can come by.... Sorry buddy, a no show / no call on Sunday, there is no way i am going to trust what you say anymore....
Wish i could leave ( 0 ) stars instead because no work was done.
