Allstate Plumbing is awesome! They are reasonable and upfront about their cost is services. They have done several projects for us and have done an impeccable job each time. They will be the only plumbers I use from now on!

Since writing the above, the faucet set that the first plumber broke, giving rise to all the above issue has begun to revolve and now needs further repair. So even the simple task they first undertook, messed up and then took months to remedy was not done properly.

Luis the owner did a great job at clearing out a clog I had in my house. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and reasonably price. He gave me some tips on how to prevent future clogs and showed me video of inside the pipes. He also responded really quickly to my messages on yelp and came out the same day to clear out my house drains. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a great plumber and would call him again for any plumbing problems or services in the future.

We've used Alfred Williams (Steve) a couple more times since our initial review.  Each time, Steve has been absolutely fantastic! Quick to return calls, great quality service, and a very reasonable price!

Norman was wonderful helping us with a couple of projects.  He gave an accurate estimate, shopped for the necessary items at the hardware store, and completed the work efficiently.  He made great recommendations on a railing we installed by some stairs... leading to a much higher quality job than if I'd purchased the materials myself.  He was timely, responsive, and kind.  I enjoyed working with Norman and will call him again when there are projects I can't complete myself.

Avalon Services is our go-to company for all plumbing related issues.  Will and his crew came through for us when our water main broke recently and he has also worked on our water heater and external hose bib in the past.  

We called them frantically in the morning and they were out the same afternoon to determine what the problem was.  Within 24hours they had us back up and running!  They had to dig about 120 feet of trench (through poison oak and underbrush on a hillside) from the meter to the house and suggested adding a spigot at the halfway point in the line to make it easier for us to water the garden.

Matt is a dream of a plumber: knowledgeable, courteous, careful and customer-focused. He quickly diagnosed a couple of faucet problems I had in different rooms and regretfully told me that I'd need a new faucet for one of them (he doesn't like his customers to have to pay too much). My new faucet is great and he even found one that matches well with the no-longer-made original. He needed a part for the other problem and since he was out of town for a few days and thus not able to get right to it, he later installed the part for free because of the wait.
The plumbing profession needs more people like Matt.

Kathy at The Powder Room is wonderful to work with. She helped us pick the right toilet, quoted us a reasonable price for the toilet and also the installation. The Powder Room's selection is excellent and its great they do have Saturday hours!
Kathy followed up on Monday to confirm the installation date and time. They arrived on time. She gave me a low and high number for installation in case they ran into issues at our house. They didn't, installation was the lower of the two number.
All in all, an excellent experience with excellent service.

I decided to try and change a shower cartridge myself and when everything was disassembled, I couldn't get the thing out, even after soaking it in vinegar.I had the water off to my house so needed help right away to fix this.
I called and Raheb answered immediately. He was at my house within an hour and a half as promised and with his special tool, got the thing unstuck and changed for me. He was very courteous and neat, even took his shoes off in my house. I couldn't be happier with the service and the price was reasonable. I will definitely call them again the next time I need a plumber.

This review is long overdue. Mauro's plumbing has helped me twice now :) I recently bought a house and realized the water heater was not working. Before going for any repairs, I typically get three quotes. First two plumbers told me that I need to change water heater. That was a shock for me since the house inspection had the water heater in a perfect condition. My third plumber was Mauro. He came to inspect and told me something is off. 10 Minutes later he told me that someone had bumped in the gas line outside the house and turned that off. So there was nothing wrong with my water heater! He did not charge anything for the visit either. I felt stupid for not knowing there was something that turns off the gas and could have caused it but I am so glad Mauro was kind enough to show me the system for future reference.
I was just helped by Oly from Mauro's plumbing this time. My water heater drain valve was leaking. One of the other plumber mentioned adding hose bib cap. I didn't want a temporary fix, so I checked to see if someone from Mauro's can come to help. One of Mauro's plumbers, Oly changed the faucet and charged me less than any other quotes I had received. I am pretty sure I can trust Mauro's for any future plumbing issues.

Bought $70 worth of plumbing supplies at 1 pm on Saturday afternoon an hour later I return these off the shelf items and they charged me a 25% return charge.    What da heck!  25%!    Last time I will ever purchase anything from these folks.

About a month ago, I had them come to replace washer hot and cold water valves.
I believe the plumber who came was named Clayton. He called just before coming. He was willing to answer my questions. Took pride in the quality of his work. He did a good job. Thanks.

We called and got Joe to come out for an emergency leak on a Saturday even though he was fully booked. Joe was the best thing that could have happened to us!  He found the leak in less than 5 minutes (a previous plumber dug around for an hour and gave up).  Joe told us what parts to get from Home Depot to fix the leak ourselves and didn't charge us a penny!  We are in awe of his customer service, his sincerity and his sense of humor.  We were super lucky to have found Joe and we highly recommend him.  He is truly a rare find and we have already told our friends about Joe.

Jeff was fantastic. He responded to me on a holiday, and set up an appointment for the next day.  He worked very hard clearing my lines, and cleaning up afterwards.  Diagnosed my issue was actually the city of Pittsburg's responsibility. They are going to replace the damaged line.  I intend on using Jeff for all my future plumbing needs.

I've had Bob Cowden fix several things at my house, including unclogging pipes, installing a garbage disposal, installing new shower fixtures, etc.  His communication with clients is excellent, he returns calls quickly and shows up on time.  The one time he was running a little late, he called to let me know and told me what time he would be here.   I could not be happier with his plumbing skills and have never had any problems whatsoever with his work.  

He is very down-to-earth and friendly and easy to get along with.  He's even great with my pets.  He is eager to do whatever it takes to make the client happy.  A couple of times he's finished the work, then asked if there was anything else he could do at no extra charge since there was still some time left.  Seriously, how often do you hear providers so concerned about making sure their clients get their money's worth?

If you are looking for a plumber who is responsible, friendly, and really knows his stuff, look no further than Bob Cowden.  As long as he's in business, I will never have to hire another plumber.

Great job to fix my clogged kitchen drain on a raining Sunday morning. Really appreciate.

Bart came out a few years ago to unclog a kitchen sink. It was a tough clog and he spent a long time unclogging it, but got the job done. He also went into my crawlspace and inspected the structure of the drainage pipes to ensure there were no problems there. He explained everything that he did, why the pipes were clogging, and provided several tips to prevent this from happening in the future.

Three years later, I had another clog. Initially I couldn't remember or find Bart's info so I got another plumber to come out and unclog it. During that process they told me that I had a small leak in the crawlspace and quoted me a ridiculous amount of money to fix it. I declined and called a few other plumbers to get a second opinion. This time I found Bart and he came out for free to assess and provide another quote to fix the leak, except that he found no leak! He had me run water from all the faucets, flush the toilets, and found no leaks and nothing wrong with the pipes in my crawlspace.

I highly recommend Bart as a knowledgable and honest plumber. I'll definitely call him again for future work.

We hired Mark to fix up a variety of things around the home we just moved into, from wooden gates and fences in the yard, to loose cabinets in the kitchen, to seals around shower fixtures. Mark took care of it all efficiently and professionally. He also made very pragmatic, sensible suggestions that were a lot easier than what I initially thought was needed.

I'm happy with the quality of his work and with how he communicated with us and got the work done promptly. I'm glad to have found a reliable home repair person.
