We were attempting to replace an old shower faucet cartridge so we can easily turn on and turn off the water. It took too much time and strength to push and pull that lever, especially for kids and the elderly.

We were able to pull the core out, but the rest of the cartridge was still stuck in the valve.  With our small puller, extracting the whole cartridge was not an easy job. The 45-year old original Moen cartridge in this faucet was literally part of the valve, stuck on so tight.  With the core out and the valve exposed, we couldn't turn back on the main water line until we could 1) somehow replace the cartridge or 2) replace the entire valve.  Doh!  On a Sunday too!  

In comes MTZ to the rescue.  In the San Jose area, there were only a handful of 24/7 plumbers available on a Sunday. The only quick answer I got was from MTZ.  Before agreeing to their service on the phone, they went over their pricing and the additional Sunday service fee.  Of course I agreed because we needed to turn on the main water line that night.  

The MTZ van arrived 25 minutes after the initial phone call.  Hector was very professional, with shoe covers and mask. He knew exactly what the problem was and explained what the options are IF he couldn't extract the cartridge.  Using his industrial-strength cartridge puller with a lot of elbow grease and time, Hector was able to pull out the old stubborn cartridge without ruining the valve. He made the impossible possible, and solved our problem.  

Before Hector left, we replaced the cartridge with a new one, turned on the main water line into the house, and made sure our shower faucet worked properly with no leaks.  Now the water is easy to turn on and off.  Like new!

Excellent service and repairs.  Repaired a leaking toilet, the ceiling drywall below, electrical outlet, and electrical switch.  Very responsive and kind.  Left my house spotless.  Had another problem the next day that was not related.  They came within hour at 7 pm and fixed this issue.  Anaz coordinated the projects with other team members.  He is exceptional.  Thank you.

I came home and found my heater broke. Found Matt on Yelp, he said he was nearby and will come take a quick look. Turns out my heater is leaking and needs to be replaced. He said he will come back at 4:30 with a new heater and replace the old one. He came back at 4:20, and finished everything by 6pm.

Matt is very skilled and efficient. He double checks on all possible leaks. Cleaned everything up when he left. The price is reasonable as well.

So on a Friday..... need a plumber.... Called them all.

We had an issue with the power outlet for the refrigerator. AY EMP was very accommodative in scheduling the work and they were systematic and patient to find what the issue was. Will definitely be using their services again.

Most recently, I had a broken bathroom sink drain stopper and two dripping sink faucets.  Richard came out on time and fixed everything quickly -- and with no problems.  He was courteous and explained everything he was doing.   I have used Smart Plumbers on numerous other occasions -- to fix a broken shower faucet and a broken garbage disposal and to replace old sink faucets -- and they have never disappointed.  I highly recommend Smart Plumbers.

I have to retract my original 5-star rating. Shortly after I wrote that review, the toilet was clogged again. Turns out the first plumber didn't get the cap out. We are a one toilet household so we called back hoping to have someone come out that night to fix it. Apparently, Ace uses an after hours answering service that tells people they will send someone out but they never do. I waited until 1 a.m. for a plumber or a phone call. Got up at 6 a.m. to call again, was told that they would be there between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Called again at 10 a.m. and talked to Chris, who filled me in on the emergency system. She was super nice and helpful and set Philip out at noon. He had to charge more to remove the toilet, but got the cap out and now the toilet is officially fixed.

I would still give Ace 4 stars for being personable, and friendly, and fair priced. If they weren't so nice, I'd give them less since he took two plumbed to fix the toilet. But, I would give their emergency service 1 star for not actually being an emergency service. Don't worry--someone called me back at 6 a.m. two days later asking if we still need an emergency plumber...

This is the guy you need to call when you have a plumbing problem. Dan came to my place to unclog the sink. Within an hour, problem solved.  Highly recommended to friends or anyone who needs plumbing  service.

After researching repipe companies here and as many places as I could find reviews, I found they and Repipe had been mentioned under the positive reviews from some of the other 'big' companies.

Julio scheduled the estimate inspection promptly and walked me through options, from where I wanted the main, to how or if I planned for Water filter/softener systems, and the pros/cons of different piping options (Copper, PEX, combo, etc).

Chris showed up with the team and they were very careful, very professional and incredible efficient. Our 1200sqft house was repiped (waterlines only) by 2pm. I immediately noticed the water pressure difference (70 year old pipes). Inspections came like clockwork the following day, and the wall repair just 2 days after the pipes were completed. I was very impressed with how unnoticeable it was, that they had opened any walls at all.

Additional notes: The city had a leak in the street and Chris/Julio took care of ensuring the city came out. I noticed an uptick in my water bill - Julio inspected the house, and come to find out, it had nothing to do with their work - I had a bad solenoid on one of my sprinkler lines (stayed on). Yet, I wasn't charged a visit, service fee or anything.  They stand by their work - I am happy to recommend All Pro to my neighbors (already have) and others.

George is one-of-a-kind. I ran into a snag trying to replace a garbage disposal. George picked up right away. He knew right away what the issue was, happened to be in the area, and was at my door within 15 minutes and solved it in minutes. The other guys I called still haven't even called back. I'll definitely be coming back to George for my plumbing needs.

Our garbage disposal was on the fritz - right around the holidays.  Mike came out same day - was on time (actually early) and fixed it within 5 minutes and showed me how to maintain it going forward so I can keep it healthy.  That's impressive!  No up-selling, no selling me something I didn't need.  Quick, efficient and helpful.  I'll definitely use them when a plumbing issue again, but guessing it won't be the garbage disposal.  Thanks again Mike!

Unfortunately, I'm outside the service area but the owner is very patience and helpful, and took them time to explain everything to me. Only wish I lived closer! Highly recommended.

Super unreliable,  and his price cost and arm and a leg. This company screwed shower head in a such a way that it's impossible to unscrew. I have to call another plumber. Do not waste your time

Our furnace was out and after a number of calls to HVAC service providers in the area we made a call to Bellows.  

Not only did Bellows show up the same day (now that's great service!) but the technician, John Costales, was professional, courteous, and knew his stuff.  

John was able to diagnose the problem and suggest how to most economically repair our system.  

Would certainly recommend if you need HVAC service. We are a Bellows customer now.

I have been using Ser-All company for eighteen years. They just put a new one in for me yesterday and did a fine job. My installer Stevie was wonderful. Did a clean job and was a very nice installer. Looking back over the year I was thinking about who was this year's hero...And I've got to say, Brian Sanchez of Discount Plumbing was my hero.   In my very old house with very old plumbing and with a complicated problem Brian got it right.  Brian delivered the bad news as well as any social worker could.  Understanding, empathetic... The job involved days of dirty work. It wasn't an inexpensive fix by any means but the service was stellar.
