These guys are truly amazing! I have been using their services for about a year now and have been so happy with what I pay for. Their products work great and are safe to spray in the house. I even saw a few scorpions a couple of weeks after a treatment, and they came out to spray again no questions asked and no additional charge. I have had Alex mostly coming to my house recently and he is just so badass! Super friendly and a great listener. Not only that but very informative. He understands that my partner sleeps during the day because of work and is super quiet not to disturb her or my dog. The customer service is exceptional, and even through this pandemic, they have been very reliable! Wouldn't even think about switching services!

I wanna thank Mathew for coming out and helping me with my roach problem. I hate to say it, but I have had a never-ending battle trying to get rid of these German Roaches. He came in with a good attitude and was ready to take care of business. He put out some bait,  placed some traps around the place, and sprayed with a new chemical he said he's been using. He said it was organic and the best thing out there. I don't know what is in that organic chemical, but it is like night and day now since he provided his services no more than a couple of weeks ago. I have seen a 90% decrease in roach activity.  Thank you again.

I found a baby scorpion on my bed and was totally freaked when I dialed Mike's number. Figured I'd leave a message because it was way past normal business hours. Well, he answered and was very nice in assuring me he would be at my home at 8am which he was. I didn't have to wait. He explained all about pests, especially scorpions. I will definitely sleep better tonight. I recommend Affordable Pest Control to anybody who needs the service. Mike is the best!

We have known Isaac for so many years we lost track. He is prompt, friendly, VERY thorough, loves animals which is good since we have a mini-zoo, and he has a good sense of humor too!   His chemicals are fairly safe for our household and that says a lot! Whatever he does - I don't know - but I have no pests at home aside from the ones I want!

Terrible!  They came out less than 2 weeks ago due to me seeing a lot of spiders.  Over the weekend I've killed 2 big wolf spiders!!  I called them to ask them to send someone out and they told me no because I'm not a monthly customer!!  If you did your job right I wouldn't have to have you come out once a month!!!  Won't do business with them anymore and will let everyone I've referred to them know What happened.

We've only been here two months, so in interest of that I am leaving four stars with room for improvement :-). However, I have no complaints.  They have been prompt and friendly, and the only bugs I have seen have been dead.  Sean came today and was courteous and efficient.  I would recommend.

Edited Edit- Nope, sick of waiting and failed attempts. Did research, bought equipment and chemicals and did the work myself w/ my husband, it was hard, but worth it. This company is awful when doing it yourself is the easier. My house is termite free now thanks to me.

Edited - So i gave it 1 star previously but it felt a little harsh as they really are always so nice whenever i interact w/ this place.  Maybe i just have a super difficult case of termites that is causing the need for 5 visits.

The company did call me to set up a 5th appointment after some pestering from me to try again and this time they will be trenching and foaming. I think I'm justified to still be upset that these options weren't done during the last 4 visits over the last 8 to 9 months with the same area having the same problem but like at least now they are trying. Also at least now i know what trenching is and that is basically needed with post tension slabs so i know what to look out for in the future.

I don't think ill be looking to pressure for a refund anymore as they are doing the work but the first few times they sent a young person to do the spraying and i think the less experienced person is where this all snow balled out of control at. Now they really are only sending the experienced person the past few visits for consistency.

Read this before going with this company to make sure you make an informed decision.
A year warranty for termites wont do you much good if in that year the termites never go away.

They come out 4 times to my place to treat the same area in my bathroom for termites. They came out every 2 months because the termites just would not go away. I had to get 2 different inspectors from different companies to check their work to see what exactly they were doing wrong and i got my answers.

So i paid for a full treatment and warranty for a year when termites were found when i moved in. Instead of doing a full treatment they came and just did spot treatments, which at first i just took it as maybe the termites wernt as bad as i thought or maybe this was normal (its not).

But the termites came back, the 2nd time the same person came and was talking about possibly drilling into the concrete if it doesn't work this next time but he spot treated again. It still didn't work

The 3rd time a different person came out that was their 'experienced' person, he spot treated again. It didn't work.

The 4th time they brought the experienced rep back and a inspector to try and resolve the problem. This time they didn't drill into the concrete but they drilled into my walls and got some chemicals in there to see if this would work but drilling into the concrete was brought up again as a possibility. It still didn't work

So in this time I was a little bothered because the termites were getting even more aggressive no matter what they were doing so i called in a few other companies to do a inspection and see what they were doing wrong. The two companies that came out immediately identified the problem. My house has post tension slabs, so you are NOT ever supposed to drill into it and should never even consider it. The only way to treat termites in a house like mine is to do something called a full or partial trench. Both companies advised that trench work is always included during a first visit as that's how they guarantee the work for a year, spot treating a house with a post tension slab is just not something that will work for subterranean termites, especially not for an aggressive ongoing problem. They were surprised there was no evidence of them ever trying to trench especially after the amount of visits they came out to treat. They explained if i paid for treatment with a 1 year warranty and they didn't trench then i likely got scammed because the work wasn't done as no reasonable company would be able to guarantee the work without a trench as quite obviously (to them) it just wouldn't work. Apparently the majority of why people hire  for termites is because of trench work like this as it can often be time consuming. Spot treating is for upkeep only

I didn't know better nor did I ever like monitor what work this company was doing and sorta just figured this was standard. Sexton Pest Control or the workers they hired likely were trying to just save time and not do the full work that I paid for. Makes no sense why they would either, having them come out every 2 months I think would be a hassle, why wouldn't they ever try and trench? I believe its likely due to them hiring inexperienced people that just don't know better. Them recommending to drill into my foundation is a good example of that, and them never trenching to treat the one and only area I was having problems with is another example.

Your home is a big investment, use a more reputable company for termites

Contacted Desert Sky Pest Control but ValleyPro Pest Control were the ones that did the work.
Technician was very nice. He told me that the hive was massive and, with my permission, he would open up the area, remove the bees and hive, and then close back up the area.
What went wrong was the pricing. I was told to kill the bees would be $170. I agreed to that. Then I was told that it would be between $750  and $800 for opening the area for removal and then restoring the area. I started to not have that done because another company had quoted me lower prices on the phone. In fairness, since the other quote was by phone and their charges could have been higher. The technician finally said he would do it for $650. I agreed but said that if it was smaller than what he thought would he drop the price. He said he would take me up on that.
When he finished, he presented me with 3 separate charges:$170 to kill the bees, $625 for hive removal, and $650 for opening and closing the roof area.
he total job time from arrival to my house until finish as around 3 hours.
I discussed the billing with the technician that he was charging me too much but he insisted that he told me.
The technician wrote up and presented to me 2 separate invoices AFTER the work. He presented me NOTHING explaining the complete charges before the work was performed to guarantee that I understood there to be 3 separate charges. I signed nothing authorizing the work before the work began.
i immediately called the office of Desert Sky and was treated rudely. I explained what I wrote above and the lady said that it was explained to me by the technician and I agreed. She said she can't help it if I am incapable of understanding the technician. Then she abruptly hung up n me.
What she doesn't know is that I am a certified supreme court mediator and have 48 years of experience as a minister. I listen more carefully than most people and I can say with certainty that this was not explained as 3 separate charges. With my experience with this company I would guarantee I am not the only person this has happened to.
