Technician Casey Leroy did a fantastic job at our home on 3/16/2023.  Casey was very punctual arriving at our location.  Casey was clean in his attire and demonstrated a very professional attitude.  Casey also very thoroughly explained the process and what he was doing before starting the job and ask if I had any questions before he began working. His mannerisms and demeanor spoke volumes for the type of person he was.
After completing the job, Casey once again explained everything in its entirety, and wanted to validate if I had
a clear understanding of the job he performed and where there any questions. The detailed report provided online was outstanding!

The behavior of Casey's attitude and professional character is truly a great asset for Moxie (or any company who hires someone of his caliber).  Between the sales representative (River) and the Tech. Casey Leroy, this was a Slam Dunk for Moxie.  We are extremely pleased that we have chosen a pest control company who has such fine upstanding, knowledgeable and pleasant staff to come into our home and bring forth an outstanding conduct, professionalism and character.

Moxie Pest Control has a sales rep working our neighborhood (Ovation at Meridian) who is being extremely pushy, rude, and is lying about having current customers on the block and even gave my name as a reference.

This community is private property and Moxie is trespassing in order to irritate our residents. Please leave.

I am always pleased by Moxie's outstanding customer service.  They text and call to let you know when they are coming.
Today's field expert, Eli P. was outstanding.  He asked specifically if there were any new problems.  I told him about the little tiny black beetles that I had seen and he sprayed special attention to water areas they like.
He even sprayed our casita.

Let's start out with the reason that I hired Moxie. Within our family we have members that are allergic to bees and wasps. Out here for whatever reason they always come and make a nest. Every time that we called they came in promptly and took care of the problem.  

Since they started they have been nothing but awesome.  Today McRee Torres came by and did a fantastic job. They come by and make sure they ring the doorbell before they walk in.  It's very important for us who have fur babies and make sure we can bring them inside before they walk out. Then again come back and notify once they are done.

The young man that came to my door knocked really aggressively rather than using the Ring doorbell. I asked through the closed door who he was. He indicated he was from Moxie and mentioned that they service some of my neighbors. He then made a comment about him being too attractive to sit in the office. It was the weirdest and most awkward sales pitch. I said no, thank you several times. Saying it one time should be a sufficient response to cease the conversation. I understand that these sales jobs are probably pretty competitive, but these tactics are not the way to go.

Trevor had blatant disregard for my easily visible No Soliciting - Do NOT Disturb residents sign. After being solicited about a service I am not interested in, I asked Trevor if he noticed the sign. I knew that there was no way that he could have missed the large sign in firetruck red paint. He told me Yes, I did see it. He then read the sign aloud and proceeded to try to sell me services I am not interested in. I found this to be extremely rude and unprofessional. I have never heard of this organization before, but will be telling EVERYONE (Including the BBB) to avoid a group that doesn't respect privacy. This organization did not respect me and I am not even a customer of their services. I am confident they disregard customer requests. Stay away from this company!

They sent an email to me yesterday w/ clinical services. It wasn't a customer service call to see why I had cancelled, but either way I called and let them know what happened.

They basically escalated to a manager, refunded the 39$ from what was supposed to be a closed account and then credited the account 160$. They didn't give me anything extra but they did accomplish what they were supposed to. I'll keep them till the end of the contract, but I'm pretty sure I'm done after that.

Had our first service with Moxie. Hector M. Was professional and courteous. He explained everything he was going to do in both front and back yards. He saw that we have a dog and he explained the need to keep dog from backyard at least 2 hours ( and to water it first in order to soak the granules done). He answered any questions and concerns I had. Afterwards, he closed and locked the side gate. Again, asked if any questions and reviewed next scheduled service.

Just started our service today with Moxie Pest Control in Arizona. I am very impressed with the outstanding service of Field Expert, Jonathan P. He took the time to answer all of my questions and wanted to make certain that we were completely satisfied with the service he provided. This is such a rarity in today's world. I've been using this company since I moved into this house almost 4 years ago.  We are backed up against a mountain,  yet never do I find living bugs in the house. They may make it into the garage,  but are usually dead by the time we find them.   Walker W. serviced our house yesterday and was very kind and professional. He answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable.   Most of the technicians will not move anything aside within your home to spray so you have to do that yourself. This leaves something to be desired with the service, especially since I have a broken leg.  That is not the fault of the technician,  its a company policy which perhaps should be more flexible.  Not docking a star because I love everything else about the service and company.

These people are annoying, they come to our property, pushing their product and LYING about it!!

Their BS line is that they are servicing most of my neighbors and they DO NOT!!  I have been in this house for over 12 years and I have NEVER seen one of their trucks in this neighborhood.

Even when I told him he was trespassing, he continued his sales pitch and his lies!!

This company is Sooo annoying, they constantly call, send messages and come to your door NON STOP.
I am the idiot that signed up and they give you less than 24 hours  before they come and ask you to lock up your pets. Even more annoying that they send you the message of them coming tomorrow at 3 or 4 pm. So, when people have normal business hours and can't get back to them at 5 pm they show up and charge you when they can't get in. This business is a scam, I do not recommend, stay very clear of Moxie!

We've been using moxie for over a year! We had a moderate pest problem. We would have a cockroach inside every month or so and lots of smaller bugs and then black widows in the backyard. Ever since, we haven't had any of those issues and especially no roaches thank god! Some people may hate their sales tactics but I felt they were respectful and appropriate. Their prices are around what you'd pay anywhere else. When Ive needed in between services they're able to schedule me something quickly.

This company sends pushy, rude and unprofessional sales people to your door at all hours of the day and night. A job requirement to be a Moxie sales person is clearly harassment, ring the doorbell and if someone doesn't answer right away pound as hard as you can in order to make it seem there is an emergency. You tell them no and they keep pushing. Even to circle back and show up a second time at your door the same day for you to say no again!!!! Going through other reviews of this company show the same exact issues. Funny this company and I use that term loosely is all about customer service and apologizes for their rude sales people and promises to review their policies and procedures yet doesn't! Some of these negative reviews are over a year old and Moxie still doesn't get the hint. I would never use this company and fully intend to tell everyone I know to stay far away as well.

I switched to Moxie over a year ago so far so good Haven't seen much worse than ants. We had to call them out to retreat the ants as I live on the water and it seems to be the issue out here. Nate and Hector came right back out and addressed my concerns and told me if its not resolved they would come back in a few weeks again if needed.  They were very friendly and walked the property with me to try and locate any ant hills and treat them.

Moxie is knocking on doors in Trilogy as late as 9 pm. Trilogy is on private property and you are trespassing. Stop hiring these kids to bang on doors telling us lies. You business practice is unacceptable and if they knock again I will call police and have arrested for trespassing!

I would leave a negative star review if I could. These pest control salesman are HORRIBLE. Coming door to door, knocking, ringing, knocking again. Then tormenting the dogs by barking or yelling at them. THEN THREATENING TO STEAL MY CAR. All captured on my Ring. I sent the video to police and upper management and management said they'd get it stopped right away. 5 hours later, another neighbor showed the same guy on their ring still at it ! POS company with POS workers.

1. Stop requiring that your workers beg for a tip. The employee will explain to you that if you go online and leave a good review then they will receive a small bonus. People feel like they want to help so they do. The problem is two fold and the company knows it: (A) This skews the number of positive reviews (B) Just start paying your people better. Think about it. There is a reason that you are always hiring.
2. This scam that requires you to, supposedly, only be able to cancel by talking to only one person at the office is ridiculous. Interesting how it is so difficult to get ahold of that one person and how it takes that person several days to get back to you.

On next door postings over the last week the police have been called to have them removed from these gated communities.
They are not friendly or nice but insistent and disrespectful. Those of us who live in these communities will call the police, our HOA and post online until you stop.

We are getting online apologies without action.

So expect more bad online reviews and more of your 'sales people' to be removed by the police from these communities.

I've been a customer of Moxie for a couple of years.  All the technicians seem to be very polite and professional.  Today I had Walker come to my house.  I was running late so he did another customer and then came back.  I was very appreciative that he could be flexible.  He was nice and professional. Asked if I had any problem areas and then started the service.  I've had to call them back out for sitings between services and they have no issues coming out for a reservice for free.  I would recommend if their price is right for you.

I have really been impressed but the Service MOXIE Pest Controll has provided me in my home here in Mesa, AZ.
They have Well Trained Technicians  like Mason who cll to followup within 2 weeks of every Service to be ure I am not experiencing any concerns or issues that might necessitate their coming for a followup.
This Company makes sure that when they come for scheduled visits that the Techs checks the spider/bug traps that  they placed at every corner and entrance. In my garage. And doorway. To the house.
They can then detect any issues that may require special spray attention
that the. Untrained homeowner may. Not. Be alerted to.
After disposing of these trash, New ones are always place down after spraying for the next time they come.
This Fall they treated fir black widow issues and called back to be sure I had not noticed new activity they might have missed.
I am so pleased to see that they the the time to clear away cobwebs bothering the rafters, walls , & outdoor furniture, etc.
Such a pleasant service to.have covered before they leave.
I have 4 dogs and they begin in the yard, then I safetle let the dogs out while they check my home when that is requested by me 2 or more X a year no.added charge.
Finally the Garage is thoroughly attended to before canvassing the yard agin for cobweb removal just before they leave.
I am definitely keeping Moxie Pest Control Service under renewable contract.
They Never fail to come on Time as Scheduled.
They always Followup later and providereturn Service if ever needed
Child/Pet Friendly products used.
Customized Service Based on pest issues spotted whether noticed by me or not.

First, I will start by stating I gave ample time and opportunity for Moxie to resolve the issue they created before writing this review.

BEWARE PET OWNERS

I hired Moxie to treat my yard for ants. During the registration and scheduling I requested and stated several times that I did not want poison granules to be spread in my yard because I have very young puppies. I was assured by each Moxie representative that granules would not be placed in my yard. The Field Service Manager that arrived to evaluate my complaint even said to my husband that our account was documented NO GRANULES. On the morning of 07/16/2021 the service technician, Carlos, came to treat the yard. With my husband standing next to me in front of our security cameras I had a conversation with Carlos about treating my yard. I specifically stated to him I did not want any granules, PERIOD. I reiterated to him again at the end of the conversation and confirmed no granules because I have young puppies. He assured me that he would not treat the yard with anything that would be of danger to my puppies. At that time my husband and I, along with all our dogs left for a bike ride. When we arrived back home Carlos was gone. We opened the front gate to let all the dogs into the backyard. We put away our bikes and walked through the house to the backyard (5 minute span). I enter the backyard witnessing my small 16 week puppies eating a thick layer of granules. I immediately panicked. I contact my vet and they instructed me to take the puppies to the emergency. I contacted Moxie and informed them of the situation. They emailed me the label information of the poison. I then rush them to the emergency. Since we are dealing with poison I had to call the Pet Poison Hotline and file a case. This way the toxicologist and vet can work together for the best treatment for the puppies. The toxicologist and vet decided to keep the puppies and treat them for ingesting poison. Based on the weight of the puppies the amount that they may have consumed could be severely toxic for them. Luckily, the puppies survived. Had I not caught the pups eating the poison we would have had a different turn of events. I contacted Moxie about the reimbursement of the emergency vet bill. I requested a meeting with the owner Austin Clark to discuss the negligence and breach of agreement which caused the emergency visit. I waited a week to be scheduled. This morning I was told that Austin could not meet with me. Sadly, Austin was not available to offer his customer-focused service as advertised on the Yelp listing. However, if I emailed them the emergency care report and bill that it would be forwarded to accounting and be reviewed. This afternoon Michael from accounting called me. He informed me that the chemicals that they use would not danger any animals. And that he would offer to cover the cost of my first treatment which was approximately $125.00. I questioned him about paying the full $810.29 emergency bill. He stated that on behalf of Moxie they will not cover the emergency vet bill.  

In this review I will post the label of the poison they spread in my yard. The chemical is Advance 375A EPA Reg No, 499-370. Note on the label in bold it states, HAZARDS TO HUMANS AND DOMESTIC ANIMALS PETS MAY BE ATTRACTED TO THIS PRODUCT. I will also post an excerpt from the vet report stating that the toxicologist said the dose ingested could be fatal.

It truly disheartens me that Moxie will not take ownership of their mistake. I  was patient and pleasant during communication, hoping they would do the right thing. I will pursue legal recourse for reimbursement of the emergency vet care. I will update this review with the outcome. My situation should make every consumer question the integrity of Moxie Pest Control. I do not recommend this company. Moxie is not a trusted business. I attest this review to be true and accurate.

Just got stung by a scorpion in my house. Since hiring moxie the bug situation has gotten much worse. Finding black widows, other spiders all over yard, ants and crickets as well. , And now scorpions!!! Their sales pitch about how thorough their treatment was against scorpions was the reason we switched from our previous service.

This company employs the worst, aggressive door to door sales people in the business. I can't imagine that this company is legit when they resort to the horrible sales tactics they use. It is one thing to try and promote you business but another entirely to victimize entire neighborhoods with sleazy, aggressive sales people that refuse to take no for an answer.

A rep came to the door to try to sell their services. My spouse answered the door and told the guy several times we weren't interested. The guy wouldn't leave even after repeated attempts. Extremely pushy. It almost turned into a shouting match. I'll never buy a product or service from someone who wants to argue and who cannot listen to what the customer wants. I hope our neighbors don't have to put up with this company either.

First of all I would like to say we chose Moxie because they had great reviews. Unfortunately we have had to call them out in between scheduled service for inside and out. Since we switched over to moxie we have never been bug free and we are disappointed. We used to have Green Mango and never had bug issues. So far we have had a scorpion in our bedroom  cockroaches in our tub and little black bugs and spiders everywhere. Now moving on to the customer service that has completely sucked. Today was my 5th call and 2nd text in 2 weeks to cancel service. I have yet to get a call back. I have asked for supervisor and have been told the account manager would call me back. I am beyond pissed and to top it off they charged my cc today for service. Please be careful when using this service. I have already gone back to Green Mango to take care of the bug issues. This week, Moxie sent  Hector M. and and another field  expert to service my house.  They were  great -- very professional and thorough, and they explained everything they were doing.  I have found all the field experts from Moxie to be excellent.  They spray for pests (esp scorpions!), mosquitos and  weeds -- I would highly recommend them!

Very pushy sales. Ignore the signs and what people are saying, which is in violation of city ordinances. I have two no solicit signs very visible. I answered because I'm expecting a medical equipment delivery and thought it was that. I tell him I have bug service already and have the signs he ignored. He literally keeps talking like I said nothing. I said have a nice day and closed the door. Do they honestly think these sales tactics work? I am seeing many other comments of the same. Will tell anyone looking to avoid this company and give them a name of a reputable one who knows how to behave.

Still enjoying our Moxie pest control service. We have a new tech and he is  detailed and friendly like the last. He was a great cobweb dust king and let us know they were changing up products to prevent pest immunity. I do wish for the safety of the techs it was mandatory to wear protective masks and gloves when handling and spraying the chemicals to prevent unforeseen possible health issues. I have never had a tech from any company protect themselves. We care about our techs. Maybe I am just too much of a worry wart.

The technician Noah W came to my home in QC and did a thorough job.  He explained the products used indoors and outdoors and their expected effect on scorpions and spiders (I had a black widow and scorpion problem in my garden).  Noah was very professional, friendly and I would recommend his services!  I should also mention that Moxie had serviced my property 2+weeks ago, but after I found black widows in the garden, I called Moxie and within days they send technician Noah to re-treat the premises with more potent products at no extra charge.  Their guarantee is true to their word and I am very pleased with the fast customer service.

This review isn't for Moxie but for their employee Cameron S. We had our house sprayed about 6 weeks ago by a different service guy and literally 4 weeks after that, we had so many spiders popping up! I called and asked if they can send someone out to spray again and they sent (in my opinion) their best guy yet. We've been using moxie for over a year now and none of the service guys that have been out have been as kind and thorough as Cameron was. He actually listened to where we were having the problems and took his time to spray every area I told him I was seeing the spiders. I can't say enough good things about him. If I can request one of their employees, I will for sure request him! Thanks again Cameron!

A young female representing Moxie Pest Control rang our door bell and tried high pressure sales on my wife.  Solicitation is not allowed here.  She claimed that neighbors of ours had switched to their service, don't know if  that was true or not, but we doubt it.  She was totally out of line.  I would not recommend them, even though we have not used them.

Our account was sold to Moxie a few months ago and the service has dwindled since then. Hard to get ahold of them and they decided to change from every other month spraying to once every 90 days without our agreement and still charged us the same monthly fee!! On top of that we have seen increasingly more bugs in our house since Moxie took over including a live scorpion on our mast bathroom floor last night. Not happy at all.

They may do a good, thorough job.  They might eliminate all the pests on the property.  Their customer service might be exceptional.  Their sales approach absolutely stinks.  

We have a no soliciting sign posted, clear as day, right next to our front door.  Can't miss it.  Tyler came to our door TWICE last night and tried to hard sell us on Moxie's services.  First time was in the middle of our dinner, second time was as we were trying to put our two year old to bed.  Are you kidding me?  I don't care how incredible your services are.  With that approach, you can't sell me anything.  It's 2019.  Try a different approach.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! Unethical sales tactics, door to door sales. This company sends young adults to your door, even when signs are posted NO SOLICITATION SIGNS.  Aggressive behavior, lying about how all the neighbors are unhappy with our current services, stating the other companies do not spray the whole yard, sassing back, etc.  Many neighbors in surrounding neighborhoods are posting about this, and they same behavior is noted in these posts.  Pounding on doors, ringing door bells excessively. If you want customers, professional sales is in order. You lose more business by your current sales tactics and most will not recommend your service.

I find it unacceptable that a sales person ring or knock on my door after 8:00 and would not take no for an answer. I had just put my kids down to sleep and now they are wide awake. Please respect when people tell you no. We had someone come over the weekend and my husband already told him no and now this morning someone else came. I informed him I have an ankle injury, a toddler and a large dog I'm trying to control and I told him I wasn't interested he kept pushing even though I couldn't stand on my leg for very long. That is completely unethical, disrespectful and uncalled for especially when you've informed him twice and he kept pushing and I informed him I had an injury and cannot stand on my leg for very long!!!!! this is a horrible business!!!!!

The door to door sales rep that represent this company are the worst, like straight from hell. The sales rep that came to my door, did nothing but pressure me into a 12 month contract that I never wanted. He kept arguing with me over and over for 20 minutes til he gave up because I kept giving him the same answers. This company must be hurting real bad for business because the sales rep was almost harassing me and tried to con me into something I did not want. Just avoid this company at all costs, they swear that they'll give you the best deal in town but their lying!

Moved into a new house and with summer here and two children, I wanted to make sure we didn't have any issues with scorpions or spiders so we have been using Moxie. Our field expert, Nate H, came and removed any webs and sprayed the whole backyard for everything. Between the first and second visit, the only insects I had seen were a few ants so when he came the second time I let him know. He located the trails and got rid of them. Been ant and pest free as far as I've seen. They said they can also help with our pigeon problem too (they love our pool) so I'm looking forward to that! Thank you for the great and polite service.

I signed up for Moxie Pest Control in 2020.

They scheduled a free termite inspection, which was not included in their current pest control contract.

The initial Moxie inspector (sales person) told me that in his opinion my home is susceptible to underground termites and that the repair costs to my home would be significant if I did not get a termite protection plan. He raddled off some pricing, which I did not comprehend because I  was feeling foggy from my first COVID-19 vaccine shot. I asked for a copy of the agreement and he told me that I would get it.

In my normal state, I read every contract agreement before signing up but with the side effects of the vaccine and Moxie's sneaky sales approach they take advantage of seniors who cannot read fine print on their sales tablet, which they ask you to sign.

Once I was feeling better, I contacted Moxie online and to send me the service agreement that I signed as promised. Moxie did not respond, even though I provided my phone number for a text and my email as a 2nd form of contact.

Next, I decided to check out my online account  because Moxie never sent me the agreement Terms & Conditions (T&C). I finally found Moxie's customer agreement T&C form. However, I could not read the fine print on my cell phone so I tried on my laptop, I still could not read the fine print so I copied it and created a Word document in a font size that I could read.

Moxie's cost for one-year protection is $1087 for less than 1 hour of labor and 17 stakes in the ground. This is an absolute ripoff.

It is bothersome to see so many reviews putting down the salesforce here. I'm not a fan of door-to-door sales persons either, but it's a method for growing companies to engrain themselves in the community. For those of you considering Moxie as a service, please ignore these shortsighted dullards and know that the product itself is superb.

That being said, the service and professionalism of Moxie's pest control are second to none. They are punctual, knowledgeable, and courteous, a step above all the other pest control services we've used before. Michael, the professional who showed up this time around, was a pleasure to work with. It seems silly to bring up, but it's worth mentioning during the quarantine -- he was especially careful to keep his social distance when we spoke for a bit, adding on to that sincere level of care Moxie's force seems to have for its customers.

We were also overjoyed to find they have added weed control to their offering list, and quickly signed up to bundle the two together. If the year of no pesky insects from their service is any indication, I am sure we'll be satisfied.

I signed a Moxie Pest Control contract on 6/16/2020 for an initial treatment on 6/17/2020, and quarterly treatments afterwards. I was told the following services would be provided:

-Complete treatment of every square foot of my entire front yard, side yards, and backyard including all grass, rock, and plant bed areas.
-Complete perimeter treatment via spray all walls, and fences, and structures 18 inches up the structure, and 18 inches away from the structure.
-Treatment of all flashing around the bottom of the stucco on my house.
-Removal of all cobwebs to prevent eggs from hatching

I was sold on the fact Moxie would treat my entire property instead of just spraying the perimeter of the property therefore keeping pests in. I was told my 1200 square feet of grass would all be treated, therefore resulting in healthier grass because of less pests. Unfortunately none of these services were actually fully completed.

When the technician arrived on 6/18/2020 to complete the services he spent a total of 8 minutes doing treatment on my yard, confirmed by video. Services actually rendered:

-Technician sprayed the perimeter of my house at maybe 10 inches away from the wall, and 8 inches up the wall (was supposed to be 18 inches up and away)
-Technician treated maybe 20% of my entire front yard with granulated treatment, and spent a total of 2 minutes in my back yard treating a 10,000 square foot lot (every square foot was supposed to be treated)
-Cobwebs were NOT removed -Flashing was NOT sprayed
-The technician spent a total of 8 minutes treating a 10,000 sq ft lot.
-My side gate was left open and my dogs also escaped (human error, but still)

I have reached out to Moxie due to the complete failure to follow through on the services they promised, and have requested a refund and for them to not service my property anymore. They have denied me a refund, and said I will have to pay a total of $259.00 to get out of my contract, which they failed to fulfil. This is fraud. We just started using Moxie recently and have found them to be very professional and punctual. We opted for an annual contract and they come out quarterly. Initially they spray outside and brush the eaves for webs, unlike other pest control companies. Then 30 days later they returned to repeat the service to insure they destroy the nests. The field experts, Cameron & Lincoln arrived and did a very thorough job. These young men were friendly and even replaced a half dozen sticky traps in the garage. I would recommend Moxie for any pest control service. Afterwards, I received an email that breaks down their service call.

We've used other local pest control companies in the past on other homes we've owned. I find Moxie did a more complete pest control service.

I have been using Moxie for over a year and they have been great. I have not had a scorpion in the house since and have only seen a couple in our backyard since!
They automatically come every quarter, so there is no issues with me forgetting. Matthias came today and did a great job, my dogs loved him.

We have been in Phoenix for about a year and a half. When we first moved into our house, we did not realize you needed to have pest control. That was until we saw scorpions everywhere.  We called a couple of places and pick what we thought was the best. About a year into being Phoenix, we still had scorpions and other little critters. Then one-day Moxie knocked on our door. The young folks that were there spent about 20 mins with us asking all kinds of questions.  They told me things I would have never known about those pesky creatures. It has now been 6 months and we have had not one scorpion!!!!  Every time, they come to service our house, they always ask me if I have had any issues.  Mike C. is always friendly, courteous, and truly concerned about taking care of our home.  No matter where I live, I will always have Moxie and I will always ask for Mike C!!  Thanks, Moxie and Mike C. for keeping our space free of critters.

I have tried two times to have this company remove my number for an automated billing and text line. I have never used them and would hope nobody will in the future!  I've had this phone number for 4 years just to set the record. I have called in two times to have my number removed and what I get from their customer service is appalling. The first person you talk two says only a manager can remove the number, but after a 15 min hold someone comes on and acts like they can't here you and hangs up.

I have used Moxie for over 3 years now.  Excellent service and I've never seen a bug in my house.   They always send reminders via text and call a few days prior to arrival.  They are prompt all the time.  Matt & Issac serviced the house today and with exceptional service.  Issac was in training with Matt and they advised their plans for service and were done in less than 20 min.  Definitely a professional company and worth setting up a service plan.

We just had a visit from Joel Maynerich which went great, set some traps for the little mice and was very informative.  Great company.

Using Moxie Pest Control has been a night mare to say the least. I had scorpions in my home the day after they supposedly sprayed my yard and inside my home
They were supposed to eliminate my ant problem and I still have ants plus either mice or gophers in my back yard which hasn't been eliminated
I had scorpions in my bedroom my daughter's bathroom and my kitchen they just tell me it takes two weeks for their products to work and I have been with their service for 3 months and their products aren't working
The last time they were servicing my property my daughter said that the technician was in our back yard for 10 minutes and sprayed the inside of our home for 5 minutes which he couldn't have done our backyard in that time frame and he did a piss poor job in the inside of our home.

A salesman from this company spent an afternoon in our cul-de-sac harassing and attempting to manipulate neighbors into switching to this service. My personal experience was he walked by the no soliciting sign and rang my bell. Twice. I answered the door assuming it must be someone other than a salesman. I was told numerous neighbors have signed with him, something I found was not true after talking to some of those neighbors. I tried politely telling him no. but he continued to argue and tell me why we were with the wrong company. After he told me that our pest company was doing pest control the wrong way by treating the outside o the house because that kept the bugs IN our house, I literally slammed the door in his face as he continued to talk. He was across the street when my husband pulled in to the driveway after work and a stop at the grocery store. He walked back and forth from the truck to the door as he carried groceries in talking rapidly so he could get his arguments in on why my husband just HAD to switch. My husband was tired and pissed after repeatedly telling him no, he finally threatened to call the police on him. Numerous people on the Nextdoor app have complained about the same aggressive tactics being used on them, so I doubt if he will have any more success in our area.

Moxie uses door to door pressure salespeople to get business. Visualize a clean cut Mike Pence type guy that huffs and begrudgingly keeps lowering his price until he gets to a price that's still higher than you should be paying. I am not one to buy a product without doing research, and neither should you. I ended up not buying service from Moxie, so this review is based on my interaction with the salesperson and the information I got from him.

The main reason I would hire an exterminator would be for scorpions. The pesticides Moxie says it uses are good, but not as good as the combination of Cy Kick spray and Delta 8 granules, which I have been using for years. The salesperson told me that their products are better than what I'm using, because they are commercial grade and not available to the public. That's inaccurate, so the salespeople should probably stop saying that.

Moxie uses a number of pesticides, including Suspend Polyzone, which anyone can buy. Not that you should, because while Polyzone is touted to last for 90 days, this is not the case in Phoenix. When I told the salesperson that I don't see any bugs and that he's wasting his time on me, he insisted that he can kill the bugs that I'm not seeing. How will I verify that you are killing the bugs I'm not seeing?

Bottom line, if you don't want to perform your own pest control, this company would probably do an okay job based solely on their chemicals. But if you have scorpions and are serious about not wanting them in your house, do yourself a favor and stop by Bug & Weed Mart.

Moxie Pest Control was able to come back for a warranty service call due to all the recent rain. Cameron Stewart was very thorough spraying the inside of the house and was kind to my family and dog.  He helped us feel better about our choice to use Moxie Pest.

Thanks for the best service provided to date by Joel and Weston! We called Moxie back after receiving our quarterly treatment 3+ weeks ago because of returning ants and overwhelming spider hatches. The guys did a wonderful job of brushing all the hard to reach areas and applying granulated and liquid treatment to the yard.

This company sent an aggressive salesman into our neighborhood. He knocked on my door about 11am, our teenager told him we were busy, he laughed, was rude, saying he would be back in 10 minutes. He came back at 7:45 pm on a Friday night. We didn't answer the door, he rang the doorbell 3 times and hung out on the porch about 10 minutes. The next day our Nextdoor neighborhood app was full of pictures and warnings about a rude Moxie salesman. I would NEVER hire this company, can you imagine giving this jerk access to your property?!

You should automatically become suspicious with the amount of pressure they put on you to sign up for a year contract at odd hours of the night (8pm when they ringed the bell) in a gated community!

Beware!!!!    The Moxie sales guy (Josiah) came to my door and convinced me that I shouldn't have spider webs or any type of droppings from my current company and how terrible that they were there.

The first guy that came out to spray, did a good job. Two weeks later more bugs and cobwebs than ever! That's when I realized, I was sold a bill of goods! The second one stayed for under 10 minutes and barely sprayed anything, plus left our gate open! According to the office they do what they (feel) is needed. Did they bother asking me?  I paid extra to have my big yard done and he didn't even go near our pool or fence. I realized the ethics of this company by this time.  They are a rip off and if you are getting your house exterminated please watch them and see if they do anything. I paid to break their contract.  I will not give my money to such an unethical company!

The first guy that sprayed said he could get a $10.00 bonus, if I did a review. I almost did!  This is the only reason this company has ANY good ratings.

Is it normal for your company to do soliciting at 8pm?? The guy knocked and rang my bell more than once and when I finally answered he didn't take no for an answering. We already have a service and he mentioned he'd come back tomorrow when my husband would be home. It's irritating that at 8:00 people come knocking. I have kids and pets and we go to bed early and if someone doesn't answer the first time it's a sign they don't want your business. Be respectful of people's homes and lives.

Guy knocked on my door. Not wearing a mask - yo it's a pandemic. Started telling me my neighbors were complaining about all the spiders around. Told him I already had a pest control company - three year relationship - happy with the job they're doing. He tried to show me spider webs under my garage overhang- must be visible to his eyes only. I told him if I had an issue I'd call my pest control company. He said I shouldn't have to baby sit them. I told him I'm not. I'm happy with their service. It didn't matter. He went on with his pitch as I walked away. Pretty awful way to sell your services, Moxie. I don't deal with companies like you.

Actually, Moxie may or may not be a good pest control company.  However, I would not recommend them due to their sales practices.  Their sales personnel lie and refuse to take a polite no for an answer.  They are aggressive and disrespectful.  I politely informed her that I was fixing dinner, didn't have time, but used a local company for four years and was very satisfied.  She then lied about neighbors she said used them...made up names and just not true.  She kept talking over my insistence that I was satisfied and not changing.  She would not take no for an answer and just kept talking.  I wound up having to close the door in her face.  They also insist on a one year contract.  Good companies don't need to do that.

Yesterday I answered the door to hard banging.  A gentleman from Moxie was there trying to sell their peat control service.  He had no literature to give me and was hard core.   He was rude and when I said I had loyalty to the service I use now because I've been with them for 15 years, he said...so like what, you invite him over for Thanksgiving...that kind of loyalty.  That is when my husband got up to come to the door.  However, I had already shut the door. Very rude and too pushy.  
Plus, there was a long thread on our neighborhood Facebook about him parking his car all day with no license plates.  The police were notified because of that and the fact he was harassing everyone.

I had the best of best experience with Sam and Bennett today! They are truly the most honest and comfortable people to have them come into your home. I called in And ask they only send them for now on and if there on vacation I'll wait for them. They were so thorough and so customer focused. They came at the end of there shift so even though they must have had a long day in the heat they came as energized as ever. I really enjoyed talking to them they listened and took action to get the job done.  Thank you so much to the both of them. I hope to see you next time!!

Am sharing space at home that's not mine, and I knew the homeowners didn't wish to be disturbed from their work (remote work from home), I initially politely declined tonight the door to door Moxie sales person's services who showed up just shy of 5 pm.

Because I knew their home had been robbed some years ago, I asked the sales person if he had any biz card  or anything to leave with me that I would pass along to the homeowner, should they wish to get in contact for (presumably) scorpion control. The sales rep said no, gesturing with E-tablet in hand, as Moxie does everything digitally. I personally appreciate the reduction of paper waste, and would personally follow up with the company about any needed services if I were the homeowner. Though, as the home is not mine, and I well know the preferences of the homeowners regarding both solicitations and pest control, I asked for information to get in contact with the company to pass along to the homeowners.

I was surprised that the salesperson asked for homeowner's personal email address to follow up. I may be personally living in the everything-digital-era, though I respect the communications and privacy preferences of those who do not choose to communicate in this way. That being said, I didn't divulge any information about homeowner- work schedule, eco pest control company already contacted and definitely not their private email.

As someone from GenX on the cusp of the predigital era and the everything online era, I recommend that Moxie approach its sales tactics and its follow ups with potential customers in both old and new school ways. How else will they gain new customers if they don't communicate in ways that customers prefer?

The sale man who offered me my discount never stated once that the promotion was under contract. I was informed after I was charged that I was in a 12 month contract with termination fees. I didn't even sign anything. This company is not honest or upfront. However the service man Parker was very friendly, informative, and helpful. moxie got any stars from me because of Parker.

Ryan G! He came in very respectful to my home and also to me. Polite and efficient. He wanted to make sure everything was touched upon before leaving so he just did another quick spray of the entire house though he was only coming to take care of a scorpion issue in one room. (By issue I mean I saw ONE scorpion lol) anyway, beyond just him, Moxie is consistent with follow ups and checking to make sure we are satisfied with the service. Randy came to our home today and sprayed the backyard and front yard. He was friendly and efficient. We are trying Moxie Pest Control for the first time. We have a very large backyard with palm trees. Scorpions love palm trees and we want to keep them at bay this year. I have been stung by one in the kitchen and one time Mom was stung in her bedroom. We look forward to not having any in the house or in the backyard this year.

So Moxie is our umpteenth pest control company as we have had a SEVERE mosquito issue for several years now (and yes, we know all the standing water, breeding environment conditions to look at).  Honestly, we moved to Moxie from Green Mango only because a really friendly guy knocked on our door on the right day, at the right time.  Moxie's pricing is a little better than the next guy, but nothing major.  

What I will say that I have REALLY appreciated about Moxie though is the  attitude, demeanor & friendliness of every Tech that has come to our home!  Pest control is probably not the most fun job ever yet every Tech that I have been home to interact with has been smiling, joking, friendly & VERY serious about doing their job & doing it well!  Recently we had 2 services: our regular service & then our mosquito service.  We had Luke & Michael for our Techs for these appointments, and as expected...they did a GREAT job of walking the property & completing the services as expected.

Another plus to Moxie is their responsiveness and capability to use texting for communication.  And I mean IMMEDIATE communication...it can't be easy to monitor a business' text messages & respond to all of them in a timely manner, but Moxie not only does it, but requests it from their customers!

The only non-glowing thing I would say about Moxie was that for these appointments, they were slightly off their game as I did NOT receive any heads up calls or texts about either service visit.  However, usually I receive both a call & a text so I chalk this one up to the pandemic (we can blame everything on it, right?).

I'm a fan of Moxie.  Their goal is to do a great job an earn a great review - Ryan did it well.  If decency is going out of style, then I don't ever want to be in style.  My mother-in-law was the one who called them, and if they met her exacting standards (she spends time cleaning things that aren't dirty....) then they did a good job.

When they come back and keep doing a good job, then it goes to 5 stars.

First experience with Moxie was good. Sales rep that came to our home was very nice. The only thing I would suggest is to not come 2 days in a row. We were very interested already the first time but just didn't get a chance to call yet to schedule before he came back again which was not a huge deal for us but can see how someone would get irritated by that. Also we were not informed on the 24 month contract. I think that needs to be elaborated more. We had BRIGHAM come to our home right on time and explained exactly what he would be doing and was awesome.

I would not recommend Moxie Pest Control to my worst enemy. Not only do their sales team not take no for an answer they lie. The price they will first quote you will sound like a deal but please know you can knock it down hundreds of dollars. I said I wasn't interested four times as I already had service.
When I finally agreed I was told they don't provide interior service. Well that was the first lie. My neighbor who also got conned into the service paying a lot more money actually had his interior done.
The first service was good. I will give credit where credit is due.
The service after was horrible. The tech did not check or change out the traps they left in the garage. I saw an over abundance of insects after they supposedly sprayed. Needless to say I tried to cancel. Mind you my bank merged with another so my payment card was canceled so they would receive no further payments.
After finally getting tired of the text and phone calls I decided to log into the customer portal. I opted for a 100.00 dollar one time payment as per my contract I somehow owed 200.00 to cancel. Another joke. Well Moxie decided to take the full 200.00 at once instead of waiting until next month for the remainder. No where did it state payment in full is due immediately. I also clearly checked a one time payment for 100.00. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and posting on neighborhood sites as well. Take this for what it's worth, when Moxie comes knocking send them on there way.

I signed up for Moxie Pest Control June of last year. The representative spoke with me about a great rate that was better than the current rate we had with another company. He also PROMISED that we could cancel our service at any time, no penalties, and gave me his direct number.

Well, to sum it up, he flat out lied.
The first time the technician came out he went about the perimeter of the home and the yard with a grain looking material, then set some small box sticky-traps around. He then handed me a stack of them and said heres more if I needed them since they only come out once every three months.
I was NOT expecting to have to resume with my own pest control when that's what I was paying them for? Not to mention, I cant have sticky traos laying about everywhere with my kids running and crawling around?

Then, after finding THREE scorpions INSIDE my house within a months time after he came (I was extremely irritated because with our previous company we never found any and used them for 2 years and I have small children including a 1 year old that had just started crawling at the time that I came across them) I was told by the phone representative that bugs are just something we have to deal with in Arizona and no company can get rid of all of them.
Well, I had news for her, I am an Arizona NATIVE and had NO issues with the other company. I understand coming across some outside and within the perimeter of my yard, it takes time for bugs to die, let alone scorpions. However, the carelessness and attitude given when I called was uncalled for. I am sure to speak with the utmost respect when I call anywhere because I know it is not the person on the other ends fault. Unfortunately Moxie seems to take kindness as weakness because not only was she rude, but proceeded to tell me there was no way I could cancel without paying what I would have paid for the remainder of the year!!!
Not even phone companies do that! Pay for the remainder of the year yet receive no service when the service they provide was inadequate in the first place?
After choosing to call the next day and speaking with another person, they said I would need to buy out a prorated amount of the contract and that they could do nothing about what their sales rep said about no penalties, cancel anytime even though it was their OWN EMPLOYEE.

So, we went back to our old pest control company (Orange pest Control who are fantastic) to ensure any scorpions or pests would be properly taken care of and let the Moxie contract ride out. Its now the end of the contract and they are trying to Auto renew using our card without speaking to us. This company is a laugh and absolutely horrible both professionally and ethically.

You truly get what you pay for, Orange may be a bit more monthly, but they do the job right, their products work, not to mention when I cancelled, they cancelled immediately instead of trying to scam as much money out of us as possible.

Save yourself the headache (and money) and go ANYWHERE else but Moxie.

I suspected they did not provide pest services when they said they did, especially if I was not home. On Tuesday I was to have pest service. I left for 10 to pick up bread. When I returned there was a message saying they had provided service. I looked around, there were spider webs intact and door mats were untouched. There was no evidence of spray and no chemical odor. I called immediately and was told they would do a respray today. I waited in my living area all day, with my dogs locked up with me. At 4:20 I received another message saying they had provided service!! I was watching the whole day! I went outside and, again, same spider webs, no spray, no odor, door mats with same leaves on. It was clear they lied about service, which makes me wonder how many other times they lied!

If a salesman in a blue shirt comes to your door from Moxie Pest Control, don't bother to answer the door. Neal stopped on Memorial Day and was VERY PUSHY! After I told him I'm happy with my DIY service that I've been doing for years he proceeded to keep pushing. These pushy sales people are more of a pest than any occasional bug I see. He quoted their normal price at $200! What a joke!

I told him NO three times. To top it off the applicator guy stopped by the next day to apparently do a treatment but I did not answer the door. Then he pulled the doormat away from the door...possibly getting ready to spray. He eventually left and also left the doormat pulled out. How rude!!!

Can't imagine using this company based on my experience of the way they do business, or try to get business.  

Moxie...DON'T BUG ME AGAIN!!!

I can't comment on their service but I was very turned off by their door to door sales tactics.  The guy ignored our no soliciting sign and wouldn't stop talking even when I told him several times I wasn't interested and was busy. He was referencing to all our neighbors by name who supposedly signed up with him and badmouthed the pest control company I told him we use.  I finally had to shut the door on him after he kept talking despite me saying I wasn't interested and had to get back to what I was doing. Hopefully the management /owner will read this and realize that these tactics are disrespectful and a huge turn off.

Seth from Moxie came by today and completed our service. We were gone for several months over the summer; however when we got back home we were pleased to find that Moxie had been doing an excellent job. Not a single cobweb to be found and any bugs found were all deceased.

Today I received the visit of one of their sellers, Aaron, I told him that I already have the fumigation service with which I am very satisfied and he did not listen to me and he kept insisting, I also told him that this is a Gated Community and I do not know who could give access to it what is against the law. And that also says very clearly in the Gate NO SOLICITING. Please, if you do not want to have legal problems, refrain from doing this and less to enter a Gated Community without permission.

I want to first say we have never used Moxie and will never use them. I am writing this review due to being harassed by their door to door salesman. I had the same salesman at my house today with the last unpleasant knock on the door at 8pm, that's right 8pm! We have a baby who we just put down not even 30 min before this guy knocked on our door. Worst part is we kindly told him 3x we were not interested as we are loyal Trueforce Pest customers. This guy kept going. My husband finally said firmly look we are not interested our kid is sleeping leave. I opened the door to ask what the name of the company was because this guy was so rude and with it being late. Of course the office closed at 5pm. Even if I was looking for a new company this one doesn't make the list.

This company's inappropriate, deceitful, shady door-to-door sales tactics, are enough to leave a bad taste in anybody's mouth.

We have a no soliciting sign clearly hung at our doorstep, and their salespeople have disturbed my family and I twice now.

The first time, the salesman flat out lied about pest control being required by our HOA.  The most recent time, the individual would not take no for an answer, and I was forced to close the door on him mid-sentance.

One more time, Moxie, and I'll be calling the police, filing charges for harassment and trespassing, and taking out a restraining order.

Horrible company.  Because I have dogs, I've repeatedly requested that they call when they're on their way.  This review is prompted because - again - someone just showed up at my door unannounced because it was too hard to call despite notifying them TWICE yesterday, one via text (yes, it's monitored) and one via a live phone call. I've used them over a year and have not seen the same field tech twice -- they have ridiculous turnaround with employees.  We finally found a guy we liked, and when the next guy came -- he did nothing but badmouth Brad saying well, he obviously didn't know what he was doing.  For the record, Brad was the ONLY tech who helped us with a rat problem in a citrus tree, to where we saw actual results, and had been doing it for 30+ years - since the other guy was in diapers.  One month, they'd bait the boxes one way, and the next month oh, that guy was an idiot, shouldn't have done it that way.  Their customer service sucks, they treat their employees horribly (relative worked for them) and despite being promised a call back at least a half a dozen times - it has yet to happen.  Spend your money elsewhere, this place is a joke.

I like the company's website so you can see what's planned and when you last had services.  Very helpful.  Unfortunately, started having more pest problems than my previous company.  Will be looking for a new company.

Door to door salespeople really get under my skin but no more so than during a pandemic when the entire state is under a stay-at-home executive order signed by the governor. How is pest control sales door to door an essential service? You are putting your salespeople and all homeowners with whom they come into contact at risk. I will never use your service and will tell everyone I know not to use you either. Have some consideration for the residents and your salespeople!

I'm old school, and generally only give reviews if I experience something amazing or awful.
Moxie changing my periodic service from 2 months to 3 without much forewarning, I took in stride. I didn't post a review, either positive or negative. Seems like they should have kept the price per visit the same since they usually aren't doing anything for the extra money.
But I've finally gotten tired of being prompted to give reviews. If you prompt me for a review, you're probably not getting a good one - especially if I only just met you at the door.
I understand you were just spraying around the house, but I didn't watch you the entire time, so how can I say yes, this person did 5 star work!. Likewise the company giving cash bonus for prompting these reviews makes me think they don't pay their workers enough.
Call me weird. I expect I'll be looking for a new pest control company soon.

Update: I talked to Nicole at Moxie, she listened politely to my feedback and offered to lower my quarterly rate to 99.00. I chose to cancel service. I did clarify that since yesterday's charge was for 3 months, I will still be able to call for urgent service through the end of August at no charge. I gave her the opportunity to reduce yesterday's service cost and be free of me sooner, but she chose not to accept my offer.

This company is awful!! 2 salesman in 3 days, in the middle of lock down. First one comes on Thursday, 6pm, in the middle of dinner and trying to put the baby to sleep. Nice guy, goes through entire pitch, doesn't want to hear no, we already have someone.
Next guy comes at 11:15am on a Saturday.  I have my baby in my arms, she's wiggling like crazy, he won't stop/ doesn't care.  Asks me if someone has already stopped by, I say yes, he says they need to come back... really?! You don't know who they were, what they did and you're trying to tell me they need to come back the next day??
Then he asks who they were, I make up a name to get rid of him, he says, oh wow your neighbor just fired them really?? Because I made that name up, not take your BS somewhere else!!
Would NEVER EVER EVER hire these guys.
Also, my guy is rated a 5 and I research like crazy before buying. You have a 3 and it's clear to see why. You wreak of desperation.

Their door to door solicitation tactics are terrible. We have a no solicitation sign up which was ignored. Next, the employee continued to knock on our door after we did not answer it rather than take it as a hint to go away. I ended up having to open the door to tell him we aren't interested and to go away. Needless to say, I won't be using their services.

My recent field expert, Jaden, provided excellent service. We live in a more heavily populated bug area, but Moxie is always willing to come out and do free in-between sprays if we see activity, which I really appreciate.

These people have been soliciting in my neighborhood during the pandemic. The young man who banged on my door FOUR times before I finally answered was NOT wearing a mask... he was also a minor (17) using aggressive sales tactics and would not stop trying to sell me on his services even though we already have a trusted bug guy. They have gone to my parents and grandparents house as well (different people) all not wearing masks and looking like they were all minors. The owners should be ashamed of themselves!!!! Especially during times like these it is reckless to our health to be soliciting.

We signed up on Moxie this past June so we are pretty new with the company. Parker was out front person to come to our home to do his thing with spraying and checking everything out. Now, this is the second spraying and let me tell you about Josh, he arrived at my front door with duster in hand ready to pull down all those spider webs hanging from our home. I asked him what direction he wanted to start inside or outside? He jumped on the outside in this 103'F today. I give him a kudos for being a nice young man.

Nothing like getting half assed 12 minute service.  Moxie and our prior service company who we were very happy with combined. First service by Moxie was a joke. Tech was literally treating our entire exterior and yard of our house for 12 total minutes. Then sat in truck for another 10, so that they could make sure they got they're onsite 20 minutes.  Needless to say I called and cancelled our service with Moxie. The first impression was enough for me to never want to have them service our house again.  If I could give zero stars I absolutely would.

I attempted to share via Moxie's website, but there is no option to reach out, with the exception of calling them and after my experience with their door to door salesperson today, I was NOT going to set myself up for more of the same. A agree with Ron K. who posted 5 days ago.  I might have actually used new pest control but today was not the day. I am in a cast, hobbled to the door when the doorbell rang as I'm expecting a large delivery. I opened the door, the girl announced her name and many sentences later told me what she was here for. I politely declined and she kept talking. I again, more loudly, declined telling her I am in pain and already said no and to please leave. Then came the worst, she said oh I'm so sorry, then I'll just take a few more minutes of your time. For the first time ever... EVER... in my life, I slammed the door in someone's face. Slammed, not just closed. I hate door to door solicitors but this was first time they ever made me angry. So, I need pest control. I will NOT use a company who does their sales like this.

These guys came to my door the day after my regular peat service company had visited. I initially told them that and turned them away, but he very politely asked if he could show me something. There were three wasp nests in the overhang above my door that the other service never caught!  I hired them on the spot.  Bennet was our field expert this month and he did a great job.

Our previous pest control company was bought out by Moxie after months of no service from the original company. We had -- in the meantime -- acquired the needed service (for spiders and crickets) from a third party. When Moxie contacted us out of the blue to schedule service, we requested to terminate our contract due to lack of delivery of timely service. An emailed request from my wife didn't  get a positive response (i.e., agreement to cancel contract), so she tried contacting Moxie several times to bring about cancellation. She got a runaround and no results. We finally agreed to have two more treatments done, which will satisfy the original contract. We had the first treatment done today.
Derek H. was our technician. He was very personable, polite, and thorough. He wore the shoe covers to protect our floors, he knocked on the door each time he needed access inside the house, and answered our questions to our satisfaction. I would recommend him without reservation.
Summary: I give Derek 5 stars; I give Moxie customer relations and business practices 1 star. Averages out to 3.

Reid and Joel came out today.  Called when 30 minutes out and arrived right on time.  Checked in with us first to let us know what they were going to do and see if we had any questions.  They replaced all the sticky traps, and treated both front, back, and garage.  They remembered that we had an issue with mites on some plants last time- checked them again this time- but they were gone. They checked back in with us when done- just to make sure we were happy.  Thank you Moxie and thank you Reid and Joel!

Moxie merged with Croach recently. Recieved my first service since the merge by Brendon Castillo. Won't know how well service is for a few days.  Doesn't seem to be as thorough as before the merge. No sweeping of possible spider webs, or spraying overhead eaves.  We'll see how it turns out

We've had some difficulties with their scheduling office in the past (several times we asked the scheduling office to have the exterminator call with a time window but they didn't communicate with each other). We tried a friend's pest control company for a few months and went back to Moxie. They were far superior

This review is regarding the sales tactic. A sales rep from Moxie knocked on our door and we politely declined interest after allowing him to make a speech and ask questions. We explained we are happy with the company we currently have. We additionally explained that we do not make decisions on our doorstep and we will look up the company later if we'd like. The guy asked us to take out our cell phones right there and search the company's reviews so we can be amazed. These pushy tactics are super obnoxious. How about just leaving a brochure with some info? We were told people don't leave their pest control companies because they are unhappy but because Moxie is so great...ok. Whatever the service is, the sales tactic was a huge turn-off.

I had Moxie services for a year and in the last 4 months we dealt with an ant problem (very small tiny ants) they come out quarterly so on their, what would be their last quarterly service, I asked them to address the ants, I had to call them back 3 more times, the last time it was a manager that showed up. No luck they didn't fix it so I fired them. My next company I used fixed the issue the 1st time they came out. I'd use another company other than Moxie.

Love this service! The techs are so  thorough! Before Moxi it was seriously like a jungle in my yard with all kids of bugs! I was  skeptical with paying for a service as I have been disappointed with other companies in the past. I can truly say Moxi has RESOLVED my pest issues since starting service I have seen a massive decrease in activity. Worth every penny and earned a customer for life!

They have been servicing our home now for several years.  I have nothing to complain about.  All of the Techs. are thorough, and helpful.  In all of the years that they have been handling our yard, we have never had a complaint.  Once we requested that they come out in between scheduled services, and they did this with no complaint, or delay.

I am writing an update and dropping their review from 2 stars to 1 star. Too bad I can't give a 0 star.

Reason? Despite my letter plainly stating to only write letters - no email, phone calls, or home visits they have REPEATEDLY  called me and emailed me.

There is a reason that I want to only write letters - it is because anything said is more legally binding.

Stay away from this company - they lie to get you into a contract (which you don't need) and when you have an issue they will relentlessly harass you.

This company had someone in my neighborhood go around to offer pest control. I figured I would give them a chance. I arranged for 8am the following Friday. Around 9:30am I was informed ny text they would be there between 1pm-3pm. I had other things to do. Therefore, I  asked them to cancel, and will arrange for pest control with a company who arrives at agreed upon times.

I will never use this company due to their sale tactics.  I had my sitter home with my baby and she does not answer the door to anyone.  A man rang the doorbell, walked my property, rang the doorbell again, tried to open my back gate, peeped over my backyard wall, walked the property again and retreated to his vehicle. My sitter could see a magnet on the side of his car that read Moxie I called the company and they are closed from 2-2:30 for company training. My sitter was concerned so I rushed home from work and drove around the neighborhood to see him going door to door. When I spoke to the office, they just apologized for spraying my property and went on about how safe their products are. I let them know that my concerns were someone walking around my property and trying to access my backyard. He never sprayed the property but no one should try to gain access into your backyard or peep over your wall or linger around the property trying to make a sale.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I came home alone yesterday and a rep was on my doorstep. I was on the phone with my husband and he asked that I stay on the phone with him so he could hear what some random guy was doing at our house. When I got out of the car he was waiting for me right at the garage - call me paranoid but I'm not ok with this. At first the conversation was polite (how are you? I'm with moxie, do you have pest control?). I politely made it clear we did and we were happy with it. The rep then basically told me why the company I have isn't good (very shady!!!) and how our neighbors (insert last name of people I didn't know) love them. I then got more firm. He still kept talking. Meanwhile my husband is upset on my behalf of the thought of some guy that won't leave me alone. I must have said no a couple more times, trying to turn around and walk away. Then the guy even said that's what most people say until I tell them... and then I had to get mean because I was really uncomfortable. I said, I said NO. My husband is on the phone and he wants you to leave me alone now. And that finally got him to go away. I know it's his job to sell, but there is a line and crossing it is not okay.

I rarely complain about a company but I must complain about Moxie. It starting in May 2019, I had a sales rep come to the door to sell Moxie pest services. I agreed to a 12 month agreement with the understanding he would do an initial service in May and then come back 30 days later for a follow up. We called in After that we would have 3 more quarterly service visits. They scheduled the 30 day follow up and never showed. Then I get a bill, I complain and they say they were out there but on the date they said they came I was not in town. But it counted even though they missed the original date. Moxie then missed another follow up scheduled date when I called to complain about bugs in the house. I got frustrated and cancelled the service, now they want me to pay $170 for canceling the contract even though they failed to meet their expectations. Please don't use this service, they do not keep scheduled dates and expect you to work around their schedule. This was not what I was sold on when the sales rep came to my house.
Now they want to go to Arbitration to settle for $170 early termination fee.
Read the contract, very one sided but I'm not paying anything else until they force me to Arbitration. Seriously, they failed to meet their expectations and still want me to pay. Wow

I flip homes & hsve run into some real creepy crawlys. This home had been vacant for a year & a half & backs up onto a golf course. So lots of ants & other insects.  A rep from Moxi showed up with the same speel aboit people down the street yada yada. Well since I would be living in the flip for s while decided to give them a try. Sure enough on the day to spray Moxi was spraying down the street & after my house was done did 3 more. Everyone I've talked to at Moxi has been GREAT.  Their knowledgeable,  courteous & even funny ( I like that). As a professional I would recomend them to everyone! Great job team Moxi ! .

Today I received what sounded like a somewhat canned response from Moxie apologizing for my less then stellar experience back in 2012 and explaining how they have improved customer service. Here is a excerpt from the message I received. 1) Our outbound sales team has been cut completely. Although we went through great efforts to hire honest, hard working and professional sales representatives we found people do not like to be bothered at home period. Nearly half of our negative reviews on Yelp are similar to yours; not happy about how they were treated by one of our sales people at their home. I again apologize for your experience. Although other reasons are listed this is reason number one as to why people didn't have a good experience with Moxie. This at least in my case is not entirely accurate. I mentioned in my original review that I actually enjoyed conversing with their sales person. Additionally, the sales person did not create the contract, develop the training program or set the pricing. In my opinion a sales person or any staff member of any company is representative of the company culture which in turn is a direct result of how the owner wants the company to be operated. The message I received today came from a Cameron K who I assume is doing his job at his bosses request. I don't fault anyone in this company below the position of owner/operator. If the owner can't be bothered with sending his own messages or reaching out directly to dissatisfied customers then I can't be bothered to consider changing my review. Also my review is reflective of the experience I had in 2012 and I feel it would be dishonest to change my review without basing it on a new positive experience. The message also mention two things that I feel are misrepresentations if not deliberately misleading. They mention their outbound sales team has been cut completely, but when I looked at more recent Yelp reviews (1/5/2015) people still mention door to door sales and are still complaining about sales people making false claims. In addition they claim to not have had a negative review in nearly two years (9/27/2016). My recommendations to Moxie in order to improve customer experiences are to 1.)  Drop the contract shenanigans. 2.) Offer month to month services only. 3.) Stop worrying about negative reviews on Yelp. 4.) Focus your energy on being a top quality service provider. 5.) Really focus on being excellent employer. I think the first order of business is to accept responsibility for your past actions and stop blaming staff that you are responsible for hiring and training. My review stays the same at 3 stars as it does sound like some people are satisfied and I am sure there are worse pest control companies out there for which I should reserve the 1 and 2 star ratings.

We've been with Moxie for about 5 yrs and we recently moved so we continued our service at our new home.  The field rep Tim came out on time, explained everything that he would be doing that day and explained what to expect over the next couple of weeks.  Moxie has always called ahead of time and seems to follow up after the service was completed.  We have been happy with Moxie and that's why we chose to keep them once we moved.

Just wanted to give a shout out to this team. Your salesperson was very good, talked my analytical husband right into a contract. The follow up call was pleasant and upbeat. Josh, our service tech was thorough, friendly, well trained, and courteous. Well done Team Moxie. We have had our share of pest people service our homes, I'm hoping this one will be the best.

Reading the previous reviews online I was shocked by the number of negative reviews. I can honestly say that I experienced none of the sales tactics expressed in them. I have to believe that they must of had a creepy salesperson that hopefully they got rid of.

I always get a call first to verify the day the technician is coming out, which works for me, as we have dogs. When our technician Dustin showed up he was very professional and asked if we wanted the inside treated, which is great because sometime I do. I also noticed that as he was treating our outside that he removed all the cobwebs around the house. He was very thorough in the treatment of our home(around the house, cinder block fencing, etc.). Trust me I have had other companies come out and do the bare minimum and have to come back in less than a month because of the poor treatment.

After Dustin was done with our treatment he came back to our door and asked if there was anything else I needed treated and specifically asked about our garage, which was great because I had forgotten to request it. He was very polite and great with our dogs.

I am very happy with Moxie and their chemicals work great (we got rid of the last 2 companies because they were unable to get rid our of cricket and scorpion problem) and we have no more scorpion, cricket or ant problems.

Honestly give them a try and request Dustin if you can...he was great!

Hi all,

I have been using Moxie for 2-3 years and I like how the whole thing work. They are sending you a text reminder, they stand behind their job and as I told them today I was leaving the state and wanted to stop using them, they gave me a discount for the last service I had scheduled tomorrow without me asking for anything. I think they are reliable and as I said, standing behind their service is enough for me to do a good job.

I had a technician named Spencer come to my home today in Gilbert around 12:30PM. He informed me that my neighbors down the street were having their home treated for earwigs and little black ants on Monday and said he wanted to fit me into his run on Monday. I politely declined the service as I do have a company that I trust to handle any pest issues.  The technician became insistent that I provide him with further information.  

Eventually I became frustrated with his insistence that I take his service and had to ask him more than once to leave the property. He eventually left when I had no other choice but to close the door in his face.

Moxie - here's a tip: Future customers do not like to be badgered by sales people. No means no. Insisting that I take your service will in no way get me to accept your service. It will also prevent me from recommending you to anyone else.

If I could rate your company 0 stars I would based on the lack of professionalism by your technician.  Reading previous reviews leads me to be this was all a sleazy sales tactic and no one in my area was actually receiving service from your company.

Yay for Justin who serviced my home in Maricopa today. Fast service but he made sure to remind me of free re-sprays if we see ANY bugs/scorpions (which is always a good reminder when you have 3 children at home!). I have not always been a fan of the company themselves but their technicians have met have always been friendly and take good care of my home. Thank you Justin!

Their over the phone service has always been great too!

First of all, the sales people did come to my door and at first seemed a bit pushy.  However, after a few minutes, he explained to me that we would receive a referral bonus and that the technician would come out as many times as we requested. He added the additional services for free, and set up my initial service the following Monday.

Nate the technician showed up promptly at 10:30 and also took the time to explain all the details of the service to me, including wanting to keep our business and promising unlimited call backs.  Nate and his helper were very courteous and very kind to our dog.  He showed me what and where he was spraying and/ or laying out for not just around the house, but around the perimeter of the yard/ block wall.

On the inside, Nate wore the booty protectors and his helper ensured the gate and door stayed closed so my dog would not get out.  I had to remove the outlet covers on the perimeter walls, but Nate took the time to spray each one thoroughly.  After he was done, he reviewed all the treatments with me again with me and restated that they would come out again in 4-6 weeks, and very 3 months thereafter- including anytime in between.

Though Moxie is a bit pricey- $69 initial, and $99 every three months for one year, they offer a great guarantee and prompt and courteous service. As the other posters have stated, I will see if they live up to their promises.  But so far,so good.  You can't place a price on piece of mind.

June 14,  2019 - Moxie Pest Control - Homeowners BEWARE!
Pushy door to door salesman walks up to my house. Looks at my RING doorbell and believes its not recording - he's misinformed since it is recording.   Ignores No Soliciting sign.  Instead of ringing doorbell, he opens up my security gate before knocking on my door.  Opening the direct gate that protects my door is a head scratcher!  Who opens any door on any property without consent of the owner???  Asks 20 questions after telling him we have someone.  He asked who?  How long? When are the owners back?  None of your business Mr. selling like it's the 50s.  Called HQ and spoke with a rep who says It's within our policy and is permissible to open a gate and knock.  After much banter back and forth, we demanded he leave!  He did after slamming the door shut.  DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DANGEROUS AND RISK TAKING COMPANY.  IF THEY DO THIS BEFORE THE SALE, Imagine what they will do AFTER the sale!!!   Buy at your own peril. Unprofessional, Unacceptable, risky and this is how push-in break-ins occur!   You've been warned!!!!

Like a lot of people on here, so far I'm mixed about this company. Their sales tactics are a little suspect (for example, at the beginning of the pitch I asked the guy for a card - his response was I'm not a card guy. Then, after I decided to give the company a try, he reached in his pocket and gave me a card - I almost cancelled just because of that). However, I went ahead and scheduled an appointment. Danny came out today to do the first service. He was great. Very professional and explained everything he was doing and was very thorough.

I've been using Moxie for almost 3 years now and they have been wonderful.  They are always prompt in responding to any pest issues I have including ants, scorpions, bees, spiders, etc.  The home office calls and confirms appointments and the technicians know what they are doing.  They are mindful of our pool, plants, and pets.  Danny and Art were just out for our quarterly service today and found a jumping spider problem in my back yard and treated it accordingly.  Thank you!

Alonso Lopez always does a fantastic job.  He is very courteous, knowledgeable and thorough.  When we have service, I always request that he does the work.   He is an asset to this company.

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and have always been nervous about the chemicals hurting my animals.  Moxie has always stood by there products as being not harmful to pets.  So far, I have had no issues and felt very comfortable.  

They would get a 5 star rating for service, but I hated their door-to-door sales routine is really off putting.

They show up when they say the are going too! Always nice to talk to the office people and service people are always willing to do what is asked, even if it's extra work. I love Moxie and don't plan to ever leave. Good company with good people.

Someone from Moxie came by my home in Gilbert about a week ago and introduced themselves.  They said they'd just finished making an appointment with my neighbor (and gestured toward his house) stating that he'd been having a problem with scorpions and black widows.  He then informed me they'd be at his house on Saturday to perform a treatment and said they were going to tent the home.  He suggested I get my home treated at the same time to avoid an infestation of my home once the pests left my neighbor's.

I told the Moxie man that I already had a pest company who I was very happy with and that the owner was a family friend.  The sales guy made another halfhearted attempt to get more information, but then politely left.

The next day I asked my neighbor Scott about his pest problem, and he laughed.  He told me that the same guy had been at his house with the same story about the neighbor on the other side of his home.  He also verified with that neighbor that there was no pest problem.  That Saturday we looked to see if the Moxie man came to treat anyone's home but neither of us saw their truck.

Moxie may very well be excellent at protecting homes from pests, however, their lack of integrity, aka LYING, would prohibit me from ever hiring them.  

(They also appear to have generated multiple 5-star reviews from people with no review history or friends on Yelp.  You can draw your own conclusions on that one.)

Just had them show up today here in San Tan Valley, clipboard in hand, telling me they 'just wanted to let me know they were going to be at my neighbor's house...' blah,  blah, blah. I said, who are you? He said 'Moxie'--duh, I could see that on the shirt. I said 'so you're a pest control company looking to sell me something.' He said 'yes'. I said I wasn't interested and told him to not knock on my door again, and closed the door while his mouth was still running.

What a stupid, lame routine--do my landscapers go to my neighbors and say 'just want to let you know I'll be working in neighbor So-and-So's yard?' Please. I already have an excellent company and don't need these yahoos, and would never hire them because of the way they approached me today.

I have to agree with Marsella M. review about them coming to your home and lying about information. A guy came to my house telling me that one of my neighbors just switched to them because they gave her more for her money and would spray everywhere. I told him that I already have an honest and exceptional pest control company (EcoFirst Pest Control) and how much they charged me, but he wouldn't give up. He was even blatant enough to ask me for the invoice I received so he could take that to his manager and get me a good price.

After I explained to him that I wouldn't give him another competitor's invoice he kept trying to get me to use them. I then asked him to just give me a business card and if I had problems with my current company that I would give them a call. Well, wouldn't you know he was out of business cards and couldn't give me one. Seems kind of shady that when you come to someone's house to try and sell your services that you wouldn't have any business cards. I finally got him to leave and I'll tell you right now I'm glad I didn't sign up especially after reading about some of their complaints that they've had in other states.

Just got a call back from a guy at Moxie.  He was very professional.  However, since my first impression is still in the back of my mind I told him I'm going to feel out some other companies before committing to any specific company.  Especially those with 12 month contracts and $150 first treatment cost.  Without the 12 month contract it would be $219 for the first visit so....I'll be looking around a bit first.

Unfortunately, I fell for the lies and ended up with a contract. We were actually looking for pest control and they came at an opportune time... I wish they would have been clear and up-front about the fact that they do NOT offer full service pest control... we just found termite trails and have to bring another company out to service our home - to the tune of $1,000+. We still have spiders also. Moxie will let us out of our contract for $219, then we can go with a full-service pest control company.

Moxie has been providing extermination services for us for a few months now. They have always done an excellent job, but when Chris came out to speak with us the other day, I had to personally thank him for his outstanding focus on customer satisfaction. I truly felt that he cared and that is something that tends to be slipping in the customer service field lately in my opinion. Thank you Chris for your professionalism and thank you Moxie for your always outstanding service.

Well Moxie is a has been in our life thankfully. While the initial sales review I wrote earlier stands, the service severely undercuts any satisfaction I had at that time. Had to call them out multiple times per month because we were infested with scorpions inside our home. They told us scorpions cannot be killed only driven away by killing their food source. We have since moved and we have a new exterminator and guess what, dead scorpion bodies found OUTSIDE the home where they should be. I guess they can be killed eh? Oh one thing Moxie does well is to ensure that you will be held to the contract for service that you sign despite moving to another location. Yeah sorry Moxie, not my cup of tea. My advice to potential future customers, read and heed these reviews, make up your own mind and then you have nobody to blame but yourself if your experience is as bad as mine was.

I was a loyal customer for more than 8 years and this is officially my first Yelp review. I remained loyal even after they showed up to my house with an automatically scheduled service appt that I didn't cancel on time and their service guy accidentally let my dog out and didn't stay to make sure my dog was safely back in my yard, instead he called and left me a message and told me he had to leave to his next appt. I freaked out and thankfully a neighbor found my dog and kept her until I came home. I remained with them because they were kind and they had never messed up like this before until now!! I've always made sure to have regular and consistent maintenance of my pest service because I am not a bug person! On Tuesday night after a long day I go into my restroom to get ready to call it a night and find my bathroom infested with bugs!! I've never experienced this ever in my life. I stayed up til 5:30 a.m. Wednesday and couldn't wait for them to open so I could call them and send them to my rescue. 1st call gets dropped and didn't receive a call back from it. I call a 2nd time and a different customer rep says that their system is down and can put my name down to call me back when it is up but cannot guarantee a returned phone call today. I proceeded to tell them that I could not wait and desperately needed to have someone come immediately. The customer rep said there was nothing they could do until the system was back up. I had no choice but to wait. 3rd phone call - they called me back and from my previous conversation of attempting to be as detailed as I could about what the bugs looked like (I am not expert and google is scary), the customer representative told me that it sounds like I have drain flies and can send me tips on how to get rid of them. I said, What do you mean? I don't need tips. I need someone to come and spray and help me figure out what the heck these bugs are! Google makes it sound like I may have a sewer leak but I taped every outlet, drain, faucet, and crack I could find and when I would 15 minutes later there they were again. I couldn't figure out where they were coming from and it's driving me crazy! The customer representative responded, Well it sounds like a source pest and you'd have to eliminate the source, first. I replied, Are you telling me that you will not be sending anyone to come and help me, even if it is a source infestation (which I had no idea) can't you come spray for my sanity to remain intact while I can figure out what the source is? The customer service representative replied, Well since you mentioned they might have wings indicates it's most likely from a source and a source pest is not covered within our contract but I will gladly send you tips via email on how to help get rid of the source. I replied, I don't need tips! I need someone to come and help me and spray my house!!! The customer service representative continued to make it seem that they were helping by sending me tips. I asked again (just in case I heard wrong because of my lack of sleep) if they really didn't plan on sending someone out. They replied that this was a common practice with pest companies due to the fact that they can't guarantee their work due to the bugs ability to fly. I completely understand that there could not be a guarantee in my situation and I expressed that! But I still needed someone to come spray, help identify what bug I was dealing with and I mistakenly assumed that the company I had been loyal to for more than 8 years would support me and come to my rescue! But I was wrong. My mistake! I was so disappointed in disbelief and felt so lost. So long story short, Green Mango came to my rescue and I was so thankful! BTW, they were not drain flies. I wish my first Yelp review would've been for something positive but for sure my 2nd one will be a positive one for Green Mango!!

I have been using Moxie for almost three years now, and have nothing but good things to say about the company. They set up quarterly services after the initial treatment, and bill you after each quarterly service. They also offer free services in between the normally scheduled quarterly services in case you are seeing any pest activity. I have never had any issues with any of the technicians throughout the years. They show up when expected, are polite, and always adjust their treatment based on the activity I have seen or what I want done. I have also been pleased with the results of their services as well. I live right up against Anthem foothills, so there is no stopping bugs entirely, but since Moxie has started their service, I have seen a consistently lower presence of pests compared to the first month living here where there were lots of scorpions and noisy crickets.

I think the pricing is more than fair, especially when considering the free services they offer in between quarterly services, and considering how easy it is to work with them. I have never had a bad experience when calling to schedule a service, all of the representatives are friendly and straight forward.

Bottom line, the service is great and effective, the pricing is great; everything is just simple and easy with Moxie. Also, they give off a genuine vibe that they want to take care of you and value your business.

I've had Moxie servicing my property for over a year now.  They do a great job of keeping my property bug free without all of the odor.  My next door neighbors and I have to go inside when their bug people come because the smell is terrible with all of the harsh chemicals they use.  There is no odor when Moxie comes out, and they are just as effective.  Moxie seems to understand that my house, child, and dog don't need to be fumigated all of the time...just enough to keep the bugs out.

The trick is to ask for John.  He's the best, and I tell them not  to send anyone else.  It's in the computer to send John to my house every month.  I've had others stop by, but they're not as professional.  Last month the guy left my glue trap open and my dog stepped in it.  Never had problems like that when John's around.

Dean was great! Super friendly and explained everything about my sevice. I've been with Moxy for over a year and have had no issues at all. I do wish the quarterly payment was a little less for those who don't really have any bug issues going on and just want to maintain. But I am very happy with the service.

We get an outside treatment every other month and this month the two gentlemen, Jesse and Matt, went out of their way to make sure we were happy customers and answered our questions. They were very knowledgeable and friendly!

Very courteous techs. Always polite! Clean cut. Quick, but thorough. Today I informed the tech, Justin L, I needed to update contact info. He used an iPad & updated it right there. Impressive. I have had repair men, and other contractors come in my house.  Usually with something like that they would tell me to call the office myself. I never had classy service like that. Upon completion of service... I am always informed, I can call back for anything. I trust this company. I rarely have problems, so it's working

I don't appreciate them coming to my door when I'm trying to make dinner at 5pm to get my kids ready for their sports. The sales kid seemed rather pushy and told me they were going to be in out neighborhood tomorrow.

Seems kind of short notice to those of is who are at work. I'm not going to take the time off on short notice to wait around for them.

I know my Yelp account shows I am from Cedar Park, TX, but I have a home in both Texas and Arizona.

Had our 1st service with Moxie today in our AZ home .  We just happened to have cancelled our previous pest control service in Dec and were concerned about pests coming into the home as summer rolls around.  Luckily, Rob from Moxie showed up and was able to sign me up for next day service.  He was polite and courteous and their pricing was competitive with other services I have had over the last 10 years in Arizona.

So far my experience with Moxie has been very positive.   Austin came out to do our initial treatment today and he was on time down to the minute.  He went over what he was going to do an addressed my questions about scorpions which has been an issue in our home before.  He was very polite and professional and did a thorough job.  The office even called to do a courtesy welcome checkup to make sure everything was in order and I understood the services I was signing up for which included a 1 year contract.  Most pest control companies do give a great initial treatment deal for a minimum year service so I was already aware.

Anyway, service was great and communications clear.  5 stars for initial sales and service call.  The proof will be in the results over the upcoming summer.  I will check in later and update if I see pests in the home!

630pm in the middle of dinner the doorbell is rung repeatedly, and then LOUD knocking on our front door.  BTW we have a SECURITY DOOR that this creep opened and was pounding on our door.  (Left it unlocked when we came back from mailbox, last time for that).  So this young guy with a MOXIE Shirt is standing there with a clipboard and proceeds to talk and talk.  I tell him we're not interested and shut the door and he is STILL out there talking.  Creepy, should have called police, thought it was someone trolling neighborhood for breaking in.  (Still could have been, who knows?) If this company thinks this behavior is OK, they deserve to be out of business.

We have been using Moxie pest control since moving into our currently bank-owned home. There was a slight scorpion problem upon moving in. Moxie has been very responsive and efficient in regards to any problems that we have had. They come out at regular intervals without having to schedule or ask. They are always courteous and efficient. Thank you especially to John C. who had to deal with out very skittish (and today aggressive) dog. He was super understanding and went above and beyond. We hate solicitors. If you leave a sign on our door or knock relentlessly, we will NOT use your service. With Moxie, I did not have that. The salesman who came to our door was kind and courteous. He let us know what he does, what he saw, and what will happen. He did not try to scare us with all the possible bugs we may get, but rather told us what he saw, which was in line with what we have been seeing. When I asked a question, he gave an informed answer instead of the made up answer I normally get. Due to these reasons, I asked him to come back later to speak with my husband. He actually did do this, at the time we discussed! There was no If you do not agree now, we cannot guarantee this price lingo. We signed. The price was in line with everyone else who stopped by and included unlimited resprays if needed.

The day of the treatment, they showed up on time and smiling. They treated, cleaned, and took care of the entire outside. While the guy was here, a lady called me on the phone to go over the contract and their policies. She mentioned again that we will see an increase of bugs for a week or so, they will come back in a month, and then we should stop seeing the bugs. We really only have spiders. Everything happened as they said. We saw an increase in spiders and saw ants within a few days. A couple weeks later we started seeing more spiders again. I called. She got someone out a couple days later, free of charge, as promised. This time they treated a bit more aggressively, including all the cracks, corners, and crevices. He was here a good 45 minutes treating and cleaning out all the webs they could find.

Since that day, I have seen one, nearly dead spider. That is wonderful for this house. I used to see them daily. I love the service both in person and on the phone. I do not know if it was due to the contract or not, but I was given no hassle concerning the second treatment. She took down my info, was concerned, an was very polite. Thank you Moxie and thank you Spencer, our service specialist.

The creepiest technician came to my house  at 8pm. He had one of those thousand yard stares and talked very weird. Reminded me of a cult leader. Would not take no for an answer and kept on and on. Kept trying to get me to divulge info to him and seemed genuinely unable to understand that I did not want his service. Very unnerving. I almost called the police.

I usually don't write reviews, because I can usually resolve problems I have with businesses customer service, but this company deserves two stars, at best.

I've been in a contract with Moxie for a few months, and every time they come, I'm unsatisfied.

The first time they came out, we had a black widow. They sprayed the whole house, but failed to actually kill the spider. My husband ended up killing it himself the next day.

The next time they came out was because my roommate found and killed a brown recluse. They were at our house for maybe 10 minutes, removed maybe 1/5 of the webs that were outside (web removal is supposed to be part of their regular service), and I'm pretty sure their chemicals made my dog sick, even though they promised me it would be fine for animals.

They just came today. I called because I found another recluse in my yard. When I got home, I immediately checked where the spider was, and to my surprise, there were 3 recluses. I called to see if a technician could come back out, but the lady on the phone assured me that my whole house was thoroughly sprayed, to just give them time to die.

I don't have pest control so I can kill my own spiders.

The only positive thing about this company is that I can call any time I want them to come out and it won't cost me more than my contract. Once I'm out of my contract, I will NEVER use them again.

Danny just left my house. I noticed that even though I initially only requested the outside to be done and at the last second my wife said she had seen some ants in the basement bath so, I asked Danny to please come in and what I noticed is that he immediately put booties on as not to dirty my home.  I really appreciate that level of service.

Reading all the 5 star reviews talk alot about how nice and professional the staff at Moxie is. I agree, when I call, very pleasant person, listens well, and will set up to have tech come back out (as long as it has been 2 weeks)
What I'm not hearing is that the pest issues are being dealt with, and must assume that of you are having to talk to them to enjoy there kind and professional staff, that no, you are having pest issues.
What I would like is to not EVER call  them, and not have the spider, roach, cricket, scorpion,  silverfish and so on issues I now have. Didn't have pest issue using Bulwark. Got talked into a different approach of pest control. The money saved by them not coming every month I have more than spent at the bug and weed mark (YES THERE IS SUCH A PLACE HERE IN AZ) to help control pest.
Tired of HAVING to call back to get additional treatment.
Their system does not work here in Mesa Az.
Sitting on my porch right now with crickets, roaches, spiders everywhere  (thought they removed spider webs during visit) if they did this month, then treatment not work as I have at least a dozen webs around me now.
Will be canceling this week as I have met my contract commitment

I have been using this service for about 6 months now.
I called around and checked out different pest control companies.
Moxie, by far were the best. They still are.
Every contact made from them or to them is stellar customer service. Every single phone conversation I've had has been excellent. They are truly caring. They listen to your needs and concerns. Everyone is very professional and happy! I've never talked to anyone that was grumpy or rude. Other pest control companies I called seemed less than thrilled to be talking to me about my needs about pest control and seemed to care less if they got my business or not. This is just hitting the customer service and phone contact. They make notes on everything I say and keep all records. I get treated like an appreciated customer and they treat me as good as a friend might. In my book, this is very important.
On to the techs. The techs have also always been very professional. They go over all my concerns that I addressed over the phone. They tell me everything that they will be doing. They are very friendly and nice as well. They introduce themselves when they come to your house and just in general always nice. Again, important to me.

We have been with Moxie for over a year and have been very satisfied with their service.. We have John C. come out to our home whenever possible, he is the BEST technician, he is thorough, professional, friendly and always has a kind word.. In fact we will wait for an opening just so we can have John C..  We have never ever had a problem with them coming back out if need be.. and they are always here in their scheduled time frame.. I personally would recommend Moxie...

Rang my doorbell unannounced (in a gated community) at 8:00 PM on a Monday night, waking up the baby and causing the dogs to go crazy.  Salesman was rude and confrontational when rejected through the window.  Similar stories from neighbors in my community.  Suck it, Moxie Pest Control.

About a month ago I had Leon come out doing door to door sales and informed him we were buying a home and would look them up after we move in. He gave me his card and I told my husband how I wanted pest service when we move so I don't worry so much about my small children playing in our back yard with spiders and such. I told him the company was moxie and he said that's a great company he had in california before and loved it. I called for start up and today Matt F came and sprayed. He was very professional, answered all my questions and while he was here the bugs were coming out of hidding and died or were dying shortly after he left. Already pleased with the service and will post more if anything changes. Thank you Matt.

one of their sales punks trespassed though a closed courtyard gate trying to sell me their junk, claiming that the neighborhood was full of Scorpions and Ants (haven't seen either) and needed to be treated right away.  I told him that I already had a company and of course he says they weren't any good and they only do this that and the other.

Obviously he's never seen the other company doing my yard.

Was real close to getting physical with this guy

Terribly disappointed in Moxie.

Everyone seemed helpful, knowledgeable and easy going from the start. They said they could come by our house the next day and spray inside and out for $39, no problem. We set everything up, and I thoroughly enjoyed speaking with them.

However, when they arrived at our home, the treatment was not, in fact, $39. It was $39 per month with a 12-month contract. Having someone be home to wait for them, only to not end up engaging their services, was a waste of time. Moreover, the pitch was terribly misleading, and the poor guy who actually came out to do the work had to clean up the mess his sales counterparts made. It was a poorly developed situation, and I would not recommend them to anyone due to their misleading tactics.

Yesterday (5/7/13), there was a knock at my front door in the early evening. As I answered it, there stood a man with a clipboard, ready to solicit business. I told him I do not allow solicitors and he needs to respect the sign on my gate that he walked through which said, NO SOLICITING and then I closed my door. He then knocks (bangs) on my door and YELLS through the door that he is not here to solicit ANYTHING and to please open my door. I opened up my door and stepped outside to speak with him. Right away, he goes into a sales pitch, pressuring me to buy their services. I was OUTRAGED, as he flat out lied to me and I told him to get off my property... He continued for more than 4 minutes, trying to pressure me. As I walked away from him to go back inside, he firmly told me he would be back tomorrow. This is unacceptable!

Guerilla marketing door to door.  Same issue as all other complaints.  Sales pitch about my neighbors etc.  The contract can be cancelled in 3 days, by written letter, certified mail, per Arizona Statue:  A.R.S. 44-5001, Arizona Home Solicitations Act.  Take complaints to the Attorney General.  This company is looking for long term contracts to lock you in.  They failed in their service within 24 hrs with my contract.  Their service falls short of their promises and contract.  Chandler and Gilbert AZ residents, stay away. Find a company you can fire month to month.  Don't let businesses like these quick services lock you in.

Use:  ArizonaPestPrevention.com instead.

I have been told they are the best pest control company in Arizona.  This came from a very reliable source to me.  Apparently they are a family owned and operated business that pay attention to detail.

Started using Moxie last year. They are very courteous and knock each time prior to treating our yard. This last service was with Chris Lenard but usually it's Mike. They always ask if there's any special areas that need attention. They always spray my garage if asked and this last time even sprayed in the grooves of a new deck we built in backyard. Awesome!

Stuck in this service for a freakin year or a $180 cancellation fee.  Been three months and zero reduction in Earwigs and Crickets.  Guess Scorpions are next.   Pretty sure they just spray water around the house, cause the crickets thirve on it.

Talk about pushy sales people!  We had a knock on our door from Moxie Pest Control.  The salesman was kind, however he was very insistent and would not leave, even after several attempts to inform him that we had no time for this and had to get ready to leave.  He continued to talk and was insistent.  Went that was not good enough for him, he then used scare tactics by saying the neighbor had a scorpion infestation and we most likely did as well.  We have never seen a scorpion on our property, and we have a service plan with Terminix already that has been very affective.  I don't know how good Moxie services are, but using car sales tactics to sell service will only create distrust and will be counter productive to their goal.  We found a couple reviews on BBB that had negative sale person experiences just in the past couple months as well.

Today after my complaints were addressed by the owner of Moxie Pest Control, Mr Austin Clark, I feel confident that positive Sales education has been performed with their employees.  Mr Clark is truly dedicated to repairing issues arrising from my complaint.  Mr Clark contacted me numerous times guaranteeing me business practices will improve at Moxie, and I do take his word.  His persistance in fixing the problem has been admirable and I appreciate all of the follow up.  I'd like to recommend Moxie Pest control for services in the Arizona area, I'm sure you will find this business is an upbeat and helpful company with integrity and leadership by Mr. Clark and his staff.

Had Moxie out a little while ago, and was completely pleased with the treatment I recieved!  The sales people were a little pushy, but that is there living so I understand!  My techs name was Gordan, and we was a very nice man.  He explained to me everything he was going to do in my home and yard, and answered the questions I had.  I seen other reviews on here of people complaining about price, but everything was laid out for me.  The contract wasn't confusing at all if you actually just read it, and I think the price was very reasonable! And thanks to Gordan for working out in that hot sun so I can be comfortable and bug free!!!!

I am a new client of Moxie, My sister has been with them for a year and is very satisfied with the company. My Tech Matt Fisher was awesome, explained everything he did and anything he found (camel spider) as well as the chemicals used. I feel the prices are very reasonable and I feel confident that they will do a great job! So far so good...I just read the other reviews and hope I won't be writing a follow up saying I regret my decision to sign a service agreement last week. The sales person, Brian, the office person, Jessica, and the technician who sprayed our house and property, Dom, were all courteous and professional.  My concern is that the house we are in now is a rental and we'll be moving to a home we just purchased in the next month or two.  Since we'll still be in this house for another month or two, and since I've seen and killed two scorpions in the last month, I wanted to spray here and then have the remainder of the service agreement carried out at our new home.  I was assured we can do that so I'll update my review in August or September.

June 29 update: Have collected six scorpions inside the house since Moxie sprayed on June 2.  Four of them were not moving (may have been dead or near dead) and two moved slowly. I'm actually surprised I wasn't stung by one of these guys because I walked right over the first one and found the second on the end of my weights just as I was getting ready to pick it up.  A close call I don't necessarily want to repeat. The two that moved slowly were I picked them up with a scorpion bug grabber (comes with glue boards so they're easy to collect and deposit in the trash), but the fact that I've collected so many in 24 hours concerns me so I've just left a phone message on  Moxie's answering system asking that someone call me and let me know what to expect after the spraying...I guess I should have asked this question when the technician was here, but I don't know anything about scorpions.  The technician did tell me that I'd probably see more bug activity within two weeks or so, so I guess he told me everything, but I'm just not sure if that holds true for scorpions as well.  Waiting for the call back......will update after I speak to someone at Moxie.

Moxie Pest Control came out today to spray the house and yard (we have a big ant problem along with cockroaches). The technician was Austin and he was very informative, helpful, and nice! Answered every question I had and was pleasant to be around considering having to take care of the pests. He found tons of cockroaches and took time to kill them as they were scattering around from the spray (impressed! as its 110 degrees out today).
The woman I spoke to on the phone (they have their office confirm everything thats going to happen) was Katie and she was very pleasent on the phone and answered any questions I had.

They did come up to our door the day before offering the service with a 1 year contract. I was well aware of everything the sales rep was selling. Yes they knock on your door and give you a simple sales pitch but I must say I'm glad they arent like everyone else in this area who leaves tons of flyers all over my porch.

only 4 star because the true test is how well their products keep pests away, which will take a little time to see. but as far as their customer service is VERY good.
(I would know, been working retail for YEARS).

I had heard good things about Moxie and I called to make an appointment.  I was happy they could fit me in the next day--and they were running an initial visit special .  Randy arrived right on time..   He was polite and  clean-cut and I felt safe having him in my home.  I showed him areas I was concerned about and he was diligent in looking for others. I was impressed. I signed up for a year long service!

I am so glad we decided to use Moxie for our pest control services. Every interaction I've had with them has been excellent. Ben in sales was thorough and helpful in getting us set up with the services we needed (even double checked that we needed to hire a pest contol service since we are renting). We called about unknown flying bugs in our condo, and after sending in a picture Ben and his team confirmed that the bug was a wasp! He immediately set up an appointment. When our tech came out to our condo, he was prompt and thorough. He walked all around the building and explained possible points on entry...and of course took care of making sure they couldn't enter any more. We are excited to use Moxie as our regular pest control service...top notch customer care for sure!

My family happened to be visiting us and we were talking about our pest control problems. Conner happened to pull over with the Moxie Truck on our street to look up an address,  when we noticed him and his truck we went to him and asked him to come over so we can discuss our insect problems. Very professional, courteous, we signed up 3 households at that very night.
2nd visit, 3 tech's showed up and and 2 of the 3 houses done very quickly, 3rd house at another location. Very Professional and personable. Thank you.
 3rd visit, a new Tech came to our home Jesse M. and Serviced our house, very professional, willing to listen to our Tick issues and he explained what we needed to do to protect our animals once he leaves. (Jesse even tried to help me catch my cat, but cats can jump higher and faster than we can.) (Thanks Jesse,  for trying, he's home and doing well). We will recommend this Company, and Jesse. Gordon & Jessie from Moxie treated our home today. Both were professional and informative. We recently added a new puppy & kitten to our family and they were very understanding about my concerns with chemicals & animals. The main thing that impressed me was how Gordon took the time to explain the different processes they use inside and outside of our home & why they do them. They both took their time, did not rush the service and made sure all my questions were answered. They made me feel comfortable having strangers in my home and I would recommend Moxie due to this first experience...I look forward to a long term relationship with the company.

I have been working with Moxie for over 2 years and they have been very professional and done a good job.  I know they do good work because I don't see a lot of bugs around.  Before moving into my new house I had them come out and treat.  They sent Dom who was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable.  He explained how they do different treatments for different pests.  I would highly recommend Moxie to anyone that is looking for pest control.

I'm a new client of Moxie so I cannot testify as to how good their product works but what I can say is that everyone I have come across have been very polite and respectful. Trevor was the salesman and he was very polite and wasn't overly pushy and didn't use scare tactics like other people have used. Paolo was the technician who was out today and was very polite and respectful of my home.

I will be sure to post again if I have a bug problem, but in the meantime let's give this new company a chance!

I 100% regret hiring these guys.  They used chemicals that killed 80% of my plants in the back yard, and then tried to blame me for what happened.  I even had 2 nursery specialists look at my yard and tell me it was clearly a chemical burn.  They are unprofessional, pushy, and not very knowledgable.  I wish I could give zero stars but that is not an option.

Moxie is great!  They work with your schedule and that is what is most inviting!  Other than the disappearance of all of the creepy critters.  Our Pest Technician Jesse Moraga came on a Saturday morning where we double booked ourselves and he was very insightful explaining what he was looking for and how impressed he was with the looks of the outside.  We rushed him and he stayed positive and got the job done!  Way to go!

Very impressed with these guys. They did solicit me at my home. However, they deal they offered was hard to beat. Gordon was the technician that came out a few days later. He was very friendly & was extremely thorough. He didn't seem bothered at all with all the questions I had. In my previous experience with pest control companies, other technicians have been very dismissive, not Gordon. They did a thorough job also. I would recommend them to anyone. Yes they do have a contract. If you didn't read it when you signed it & are angry, then you would be an idiot. They did not attempt to hide or lie about anything. Yes, they did say they were in the area treating my neighbors place. Maybe they were, maybe not. Who cares. The freaking sales kid has got to make a living. If you can't understand that, you live on another planet. The price worked, they were friendly, knowledgable & professional, showed up on time, and it killed bugs, end of story...

The door to door solicitor had the gall to tell me he liked my No Solicitors sign and then proceeded to try and sell me their product after repeatedly being told I wasn't interested.  The only reason I answered the door was because I thought it  might be a neighbor.  This company needs to train their employees to respect No Soliciting signs.  I would never do business with this company due to the rude behavior of their employees.

Overall we are very happy with Moxie and every technician (Michael, Dean, Matt, and Dominique) who has treated our property.  We signed with Moxie earlier in the year when we were no longer under contract with our previous pest control.  I waited to post a review because I wanted to be sure that they were consistent.  I didn't want to post a good review and find a few months later that they were unresponsive or feel like they were only just looking for that contract. The salesguy who was very nice, told us that white powder that other places put around your house is tacky looking - which we agree (and he claimed Moxie doesn't do that) but hey if that is what has to be done then fine.  That wasn't the giant selling point that sold us - but the fact that they do use the powder in entry ways was a little disappointing (the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars) but not a big deal. Overall, we have been very happy thus far and every technician who has been out has informed us of what they would treat, asked if we have any issues or anything else they can do and were all very professional and polite.

All these people are complaining about the Sales people that are doing what they were hired to do.  SELL!  I am an actual MOXIE customer who is thus far very satisfied.  Yes, I signed up for a year contract.  I knew what I was getting into because the sales person who came to my door explained everything to me and answered my questions.  It has been about 2-3 months now and still satisfied.  Today, in fact, Dean came over to do a follow-up and he was extremely professional.  He made sure he covered any problem areas that I was having and he was very friendly.  I bought MOXIE for several reasons; I did notice an increase in insect and bug issues in my yard and around the neighborhood.  I didn't feel like spending the time to spray myself, thus I paid for the convenience of having someone do it for me.  Finally, the sales guy that came to my door was professional, friendly, and not overly pushy.  Three other companies came to my door in the following weeks and I had no problem turning them away telling them I had purchased MOXIE.  I wish I could remember my sales guys name because I would want to give him some props as well.

Sam, came by today and did my yard, this company does a great job, they always make sure that my dogs are inside before they start, which I appreciate.

The service technician (Dean) was very helpful in spraying the inside and outside of my home and looking for spiders, insects, and scorpions to let me know about potential problem areas. Satisfied with the service. I am glad to know that even if I have problems between now and my next service, they will come out at no cost.

Thank you Dean for great pest control service. Dean was patient while waiting for customer to return home and was very thorough. Thank you for making sure all gates were closed to keep our animals safe.

I have been very happy with the results. Everyone there is very friendly and professional. I receive a courtesy call every time it's time for a new treatment which I'm so glad about since I've been so busy. Our technician Chris was very knowledgeable and made sure he sprayed every area where we would have problems. Since we had them come, we have had no issues with bugs which we had a huge problem with since we moved in. I notice most of the reviews come from people who never even tried them (???) so I'm not sure how valid those reviews are. I have tried them and like I said, I'm very happy.

Thanks Moxie,  Service has been great, customer service is great, they came out for free plenty of times between treatments with no questions asked, until the scorpions were gone, Our service tech, Chris Lenard was very knowledgeable and gave us useful information.

Was somewhat misled by the salesman but the technician (Jesse) was right on-time and took the time to explain the process and did what he said he would. Crystal in the office was extremely personable and very professional. I was happy (so far) with the initial service but would have liked management to have come through with the plan I was given by the salesman. I do not like being told one thing and then have something else occur. If I get the service Jessie provided, it could go a long way in getting me to rate them higher.

They started out ok guy came to my door with same pitch that they give everyone stating that the neigbohrs are having problems blah blah. my main problem is with the billing every month i get a call saying that my account is past due when its directly taken from a cc. every month .I am assured that its taken care of and wont happen again. they want you to write positive reveiws so that they can get a bonus. a bonus for what? i had called them to come out and spray for spiders in between a quaterly spary they  used my hose for something didnt spray and didnt take down the huge webs i mentioned during the phone call  and which was also printed on the paper. when i called back to tell them that the girl told me first that they dont remove webs ??? really? Then why did they tell me that on the phone? when she was corrected she said she would call me back to schedule a time for the guy to come back out and redo the spray and remove the webs. never got a phone call until they again called today to say that my account is severly past due (its not!) ended up spraying myself and taking the webs down and killing the balck widow MYSELF THANKS FOR NOTHING MOXIE!!! dont belive all the good google reveiws they prompt people for them.

We have had mixed reviews over the past 12 months, but that is generally due to calling to request a service call and not hearing back from someone as timely as we had preferred. However, the pest control technicians have been fantastic. Today Dom did a great job of removing spider webs from around our home, and he was very thorough in treating our entire yard with spray and granules. In the recent past, we had a tech who was outstanding when we moved into our new home. He went throughout the inside and out, which brought up a majority of grasshoppers, some scorpions, and cockroaches. Austin was great about explaining how they do not just treat for scorpions, but also the food source that scorpions prefer, which drives them out of your yard and fence and rods of them. We have not seen a single scorpion or cockroach since we moved into our new home (after Moxie treated the inside and out). Like I mentioned, I would give their pest control technicians 5 stars, but the response time on behalf of those answering phones could be improved (3 stars), averaging our numerous experiences at 4 stars.

I've been around the block a few times with pest companies. It really irked me that I had a no soliciting sign on my door. I knew I needed service badly, So I deceided to talk with Mitch (sales guy). He wasn't pushy, He new what he was talking about, and I knew what I needed. Gordon and Jesse came out (Techs) very polite and respectful. They did a good job of cleaning all the eves,lawn furniture that had spider webs.They let me know what  they were putting down in my yard and what I could expect in the coming days. Jesse came inside to spray, he actually put on booties (impressed me). Service was great I'll give 5 STARS. But the initial sales meeting 2 STARS, Only because Mitch didn't respect my no soliciting sign on the door.Everything worked out. We'll see how the up and coming services go.  P.S    MOXIE needs to train their sales staff on repescting consumers NO Soliciting signs they have on their properties. Consumers know what they need and want, We have cell phones and internet.
