Was told that the technician will arrive between 8-10am and showed up just in time before 10. Replaced my old to new Koehler toilet within 45 minutes including cleaning and loaded it in his van. Testing for few minutes by flushing repeat and look great, he said. Then, last one I asked why my water smell bad and told me I need to replace Anode. I added and asked if he can do it because I don't want to mess it up. He called his front office first for me to find out the quote. The office called. Price is affordable and I confirmed. He went there and replaced anode. Very professional and smooth. Highly recommended

I bought a dishwasher and a refrigerator from Best Buy, got hustled to buy the membership which ensured I get free delivery and installation. When they delivered they came up with a reason to not install the appliances. 2 different deliveries, 1 per appliance. I was told the valve was rusty for the dishwasher and the fridge didn't have an off valve ( which it did their workers just couldn't find it) so they could not do it. I got in touch with G from All state. He inspected the rusty valve which he found just had a little rust but it was totally fine. He replaced it anyway per my request. And with a little inspection he was able to locate the valve for the fridge. G did an amazing job and was done within about an hour! Very professional and accommodating. Highly recommend!

My water heater went out. I called Allstate Plumbing and provided the general manager with the make/model of my existing water heater. The general manager immediately responded with a quote. The next day my new water heater was installed.  I am 100% satisfied with the fast response, competitive price and professional installation. I  highly recommend Allstate Plumbing and will be using them for any future plumbing needs.

Beware!

Couldn't re-light the water heater pilot (after too many failed attempts) and contacted Atlas Heating (who had installed the unit).  Their service tech arrived first thing the following morning.

After explaining why I called for service, he immediately advised our water heater obviously needed to have something replaced we see this problem all the time, assured me he had the parts for the something in his truck but first needed to contact his office to confirm what he was to charge for the parts and labor.

Before making the call, I simply suggested he first try re-lighting the pilot.

He did. Surprise!! It started right up.

I can draw no other conclusion beyond the fact this is a very dishonest practice.

Like I said.....Beware!

After contacting over 20 other plumbers (I'm not kidding!) to install a Grohe Smart Valve, I was able to connect with Allstate Plumbing.  The other plumbers or plumbing companies either could not work with this valve or wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount.  Abraham came out, assessed the work and the office gave me a reasonable estimate.  The work was scheduled in a timely fashion and completed within a day.  If  I could give Allstate Plumbing 10 stars, I would.  Thanks to all the folks I came in contact with.  Very professional, established and easy to work with.  Allstate is now my go to company for all my plumbing needs.

This company is absolutely ridiculous. If you don't know your job, please learn it first and then charge people. Don't go asking for money for your experimentation. I cannot believe they charged me for their lack of knowledge. Ridiculousness all over the company, at all levels.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!! This company is filled with a bunch of liars and frauds. Hopeless should be the name of the company. The guys don't know their job, will give you a quote and not honor it. In my case, they said the job would take $1150 on top of the $208 I paid them just to check a few things (nothing yielded) and when they opened the pipes, they found more work needed to be done. The technicians communicated with their boss but the boss didn't call us to let us know about an increase in the quote ($3000). Upon speaking to the some Maria, she said the guys would not know about the extent of job until they open the pipes. Then she changed her statement to the guys wouldn't know the extent of job until they closed everything. Basically, their guys don't know how to do the job. Ultimately, they didn't finish the job and took $800 from me for a half ass job. I'll have to pay some other company more money to clean up their mess. I called another company and explained what all needed to be done and they gave me a quote of $1300 for EVERYTHING. I've never experienced such ridiculousness from anybody in my life. I hope more people don't get roped in and waste their time. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS!!

I just had a rather complex plumbing job completed by Allstate Plumbing. Their technician Abraham installed a Hydrocare-brand full-house water filtration and treatment system for me. I am attaching a photo of the finished installation as an illustration of just how meticulously the job was done. All that remains now is for me to have a handyman come and fabricate a protective enclosure for the finished project.

The work was completed so as to make the size of cabinet I'd need to be as small as possible. I was delighted by the high quality of the finished work.

Allstate has provided me with two water heaters over the past 20 years.  Their response was super fast both times and their installations n was quick and professional.  My water heater need was a little unique and they demonstrated clear understanding and provided a heater that fit the need exactly.  They are not the cheapest, but you won't regret choosing them.

It just doesn't get any better than this.
We used Allstate Plumbing a few years ago and they were great, so when we had a clogged drain, we gave them a call.
Jeff was right on time, quick and very efficient. He asked if we had any other problems he could help us with as he finished the drain in about 10 minutes. Took a look at our water heater, fixed some flashing and was happy to do so. You just don't find people like this anymore. I can't say enough great things about him. One of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Paul was great.  He was a little late, but definitely worth the wait.

I've spent the last 3 years, tried to figure out what is leaking in the bathtub wall.  I even stopped using my bathtub for the past 2 yrs, because of that.

Going back and forth between bathroom and closet, where there is a door to the pipping of the tub.  Paul spent 15 mins looking, doing his free estimate.  I thought for sure, we need to open the wall to fix the leak.   After 15 mins,  Paul said....just change the faucet head.  So, I agreed, and low and behold, he was right.  The original faucet broke (inside) and was not diverting the water to the shower, and back splash the water through the cracks of the broken faucet which looked like a big leak.

In any case, glad he was here to help.
I'll definitely call Allstate again.

We recently had our gas leak fixed by Allstate Plumbing. I had a great experience with them. They showed up on time and Paul the plumbing supervisor was great to work with. I was very satisfied by the quality of their work.
The pricing was little bit on the higher side but again if I can get someone quickly to get the job done it's worth the extra money.

I started with these guys when I first moved to Fremont 10 years ago.  I've used them for both my house and my parents.  They have been great!  They come in and take care of what is needed quickly, no stuttering or needing to bring in another worker which increases the cost.  Yep, we were scammed by another plumbing company in the area just to snake our toilet.
They have snaked, re-piped one house and put in clean-outs in both houses at a competitive price.  I called a number of plumbers for quotes and settled on Allstate.  It's been pretty good ever since.

I am a retired plumber and as a senior as much as I would like to repair problems in my home, I am not physically equip to. Upon looking for a company to replace my water heater, I came across Allstate Plumbing. Attached is a picture I saw which is a clear safety violation that the owner of this company posted. Technicians and service men are people too, that have families and lives. Do not allow a company to take advantage of their hard working techs to make a quick dollar. Being in a ditch over 5ft without shoring is highly dangerous.

Nothing but positive things to say about Allstate.
I called 2 plumbers (my mistake, not Allstate) on New Year's Eve before noon who are in my neighborhood and Yelp'd well. NYE is not a holiday, but many people knock off early. I get that. Neither responded making me think maybe this is a 'thing' with plumbers. Fortunately I'm persistent.

I figured plumbers would be closed New Years, so not too surprised the other 2 didn't call.
Called them both again on Saturday around 1:30p. Left messages. Never got a call back. I've left corresponding reviews for them both.

The fact that I had a significant leak (about 0.5gal/hr) and requested in my messages at least acknowledgement of my call didn't gain me anything.

While waiting for the never-going-to-happen call backs, I did another Yelp search focusing on highest rated. Allstate came up.

Within 15min of leaving a message at Allstate, I got a call back, and I had guys at my house 1.5hrs later. My faith in plumbers has been restored, and this shows some plumbers understand business.

The price was a bit more than I expected, but this wasn't something I've ever done before. It took the guys a little over 2 hours to fix my problem (including needing to leave to buy parts they didn't have on the truck) so clearly I had underestimated the level of difficulty. They reduced the price with a Yelp coupon I didn't know about only further improving my opinion of their business ethic and concern for customers.

I have a few other minor plumbing issues I'd like fixed and also need to re-pipe my house one of these days (with PEX I think), but I don't think I need to do any more searching. I've found a good plumber :)

I came home one evening and realized that I had no hot water. Since Allstate Plumbing had installed the water heater, and it was still under warranty, I gave them a call the next morning.

They answered the phone at 6:15 AM, and said they had just came in the office. I explained my problem, and they said they would call back within an hour with an appointment time. Almost an hour had passed before they called; no morning slots were available, but I could have someone come out between 3 and 5PM. I took it, and gave them a number where they could reach me when the plumber would be on his way.

I got a call around 2:30 to meet up at my place at 3:15; he was right on time. I was happy to see it was Paul Reeder, the owner, who was going to take care of me. He had done numerous jobs before for myself and other friends and family, and we were all extremely pleased with his character and quality of work.

It turned out that the pilot igniter assembly had went bad. The individual parts weren't under warranty, so it was $86.81 for the part, and $150.00 for the service call. Paul took off $25 for an internet coupon which I wasn't even aware of; that was really nice of him.

The water heater works great again!

This is one of my worst quote experience. They only offer a 2 hours window for an appointment for the reason of traffic delay. That reason is a joke.

I made an appoint last week. I told the staff that I don't live in the house which would get a quote. I told her that please arrange my appoint in a day that it is the first job in the morning, and give me a time that we can both of us be there on time. She told me please allow 2 hours traffic time. My appointment was 9-11 AM. From Warm Springs, Fremont, to my house takes less than 15 minutes. I waited for 30 minutes, and called 9:35 AM. Asked when can the staff arrive. She told me that he has another job, and he will arrive at 11 A.M. I need another hour for quote. Which means I need to spend a morning on this quote.

This company may did a good job in plumbing, but there's plenty of room for improvement.

I originally made an appointment somebody else, and he told me Oh I can't fix your hot water heater after 5 pm...  It was already 2nd day with my broken water heater, I have 2 children, the is not good combination!
So, I called this company.  Very friendly technician showed up in 30 minutes, clearly showed me what was broken, and calculated what the cost of repair.  Everything was done in 2 hours from I made a phone call!
What I regret?  Yeah, I should have called them immediately when I found out that my water heater was broken...!

Matthew and his assistant did a great job and were a pleasant and fun team to have around for the day.  These guys went (way) out of their way to avoid damage to drywall and to run my new gas line inconspicuously through the garage.  They cleaned up, tuned up a few other things they saw needed service around the house and the charge was just below the estimate.  Such a rare pleasure these days.

Good experience. Called them for a couple of jobs at home an they gave me an appointment for the next day. They called me the next day to keep me informed of the arrival time. The plumber arrived on time. He spent some time looking at the jobs and provided me with some options and estimates. Once we agreed to go ahead he started the work. Infact during the work he was not happy with some part and redid the work even without me saying a single word. The work took quite some time then what he had estimated but he neither complained nor tried to hurry up.

Job was done extremely well. These are definitely people I will be calling on again when we have another job at hand.

Called these guys on Friday morning. My water heater took a crap the day before and I had to take a freezing shower before work. I was looking to repair the water heater my self, but after looking at the thermocouple housing I noticed that the tank had actually popped spilling water onto the burner plate and pilot light area.
So I called and Paul said that a technician would be at my place between 1000-1200. At 1000 the technician Antonio rang our doorbell. I had given Paul the name and specifications of our broken water heater, he sent Antonio out to our place with a replacement just in case. Antonio was great, it took a little bit to contact my landlord to approve the installation. Once it was approved, the new unit was installed quickly. He also gave me pointers on the regular maintenance on water heater units. The old unit was dripping out muddy rusty water which terrified me, and he gave me great information on why that happens and how to prevent it.
Antonio was great, it was nice having a good conversation with a professional who know and loved his craft. Watching him redo all of the piping and fix all of the problems that came from the cheap construction of our place was awesome. I felt bad though that he moved the new and old unit up three flights of stairs. He did so without complaint.
I will be calling these guys again if I ever have plumbing issues.

In an attempt to hire a decent plumbing service for a reasonable price, I called Allstate Plumbing. When they came out to look at my toilet, i was told the whole toilet needed to be replaced and was quoted $500 in parts and labor. However they told me if the job took longer than they expected i would be charged more. After I called another plumbing service for a second opinion, I was told all I needed was a fill valve and in parts and labor my total would be $150 flat. Allstate is dishonest and looking to screw over any uneducated person or family they can to benefit them. Steer clear !

Prices in range of all others quoted, however, very pushy - tried to get my husband to agree to the work without consulting me (I wasn't at home).

They kept pressuring my husband to start the work, offering him a $100 discount, and called him twice on top of the guy that was there pressuring him.

Won't go with these guys.

Well, woke up this morning and guess what?? My (almost) brand new Kohler toilet was not doing well. It was running non-stop and the flush lever was all jiggly - no flush action whatsoever. After taking a look myself, I couldn't figure out what could be wrong. It's one of these newfangled toilets with the Class Five Flushing System and very unlike the old toilets I grew up with, so I was at a loss.

Since I just had knee surgery and am unable to climb stairs to the bathroom on the second floor, the operation of the first floor bathroom is of vital importance.

I called the husband home from work and he didn't see anything either, so around 9:30, I started calling plumbers in the area to see how fast they could get here. One said 4 pm - not good. Another said he'd check and call me back - I still haven't received that call. Another said it would take 4 hours for him to get here and it would be $200.00 - ouch!

Then I called Allstate Plumbing in Fremont. The guy who answered was very nice - not sure what his name was. He listened to my problem and said he could get someone out to my house within an hour - great! So he called back around 10 minutes later and said his guy was on his way and sure enough, 10 minutes later, an Allstate Plumbing truck was parked in front of the house. The plumber was a very nice young man - I think his name was Ron. Clean-cut and polite.

The good news is that he looked at the toilet and had it up and running in minutes! Apparently the chain was wrapped around something. All it took was some untangling and voila . . . The Class Five Flushing System was once again in full effect. Even better, they give a 25% discount to Yelpers!

It was a pretty easy fix, but neither my husband or I saw the problem, so I am just glad that we got it fixed so quickly and with a discount!

Prices are reasonable, service is fast and the plumbers are not scary-looking - all good things to have in a plumber. I hope not to have any plumbing issues in the future, but when I do, I'll call Allstate Plumbing!

I called Allstate to set up an appointment to come in the next morning to replace the handles on the shower. I was told that the plumber will arrive between 9-11am the following morning.

At 9:05am, Cesar from Allstate arrived, he was clean and professional and told me he would have the job done within an hour.  In about 40 minutes he was done with his work.

Along with the high ratings and praise already given to them on Yelp, as an added bonus, Allstate was offering a $25 off all service calls to you home through the month of May and this put them above and beyond anyone else in the area.

If I ever have any kind of pluming issue in the future, Allstate Plumbing will be the first to be called.

After I bought my first house I wanted to install gas line for kitchen range with city permit. Previously it was electric. I got quote from different companies. Allstate provided me the best quote, and they looked the most professional with their on time service. They drew the plan, got city permit, install the new gas line, worked with me until I received the city permit. Excellent service from them!

Thanks to Paul and team!

I had a leaking sprinkler pipe and called Allstate after reading the other reviewer's notes. The repairman came out within 2 hours and undid all the damage that many a previous hack plumbers tried but failed to fix (myself included). Cost was higher than I would have liked, but he used all copper material and even installed a valve so I wouldn't have to turn off water to the whole house if anything further down the line (i.e. cemented PVC pipes) went wrong in the future.

Overall, I'm glad I called Allstate and will call them again when the need arises.

Can you say BACKED UP pee-u yikes... Woke up this morning worried I might not get an appointment today so I called 8:00AM sharp; Paul picked up with a friendly voice and eased me into an appointment from 11-1.  HEW. Tech was running a Lil behind bad weather I got a courtesy call, Thanks Paul.

The tech sent out was SERGIO worth the wait; Sergio was able to give me an estimate with in 10 minutes for a couple scenarios pricing was fair straight forward and competitive. We went with plan A & I crossed my fingers; third time was a charm before I knew it we had free flow and a funnel. I can't say enough about Sergio he is VERY professional, polite, clean, friendly, nice, knowledgeable, thorough and no crack lol...; he even gave me a few helpful pointers for the future and seriously (cleaned up) after MY back up. WOW! Now that was impressive I did not expect that; I definitely would use this service again. Thanks again Sergio you rock. Allstate you've got a rock star.

Excellent Service and team two thumbs up!

Great service! I called in the afternoon and the man on the phone was very nice and informative. He was able to send someone out later in the day.

The guy they sent out was really nice and knew his stuff about water heaters. He fixed the part and gave us some pointers about water heater maintenance that were super helpful.

He took a little under an hour and the price was really reasonable. He also did a few extras like tighten the water heater in its place for no charge.

I was really impressed and would definitely use this service again.

I have been screwed more times than I can count by predatory plumbers, charging ridiculous amounts of money for almost nothing, especially during emergencies.  It got me to the point where I just tried doing the repairs myself.  However, I ran into a water heater job that I was making worse by trying to repair myself, and also realized that bad plumbers led me to screwing around unknowingly with gas lines!

I found Allstate Plumbing listed in the BBB directory, so I gave it a chance.  Michael, the plumber who came out, was honest, professional, informative and charged a very reasonable amount.  He didn't make me feel stupid for the mistakes I had made.  He also discovered a rotted pipe behind the wall and did a rapid and clean repair to that.  They serve the whole Bay Area, and they are now my one and only people to call for plumbing work.

I would highly recommend this company. I recently had what I thought was a problem with the water pressure regulator & called Allstate. I had my bathroom remodeled and had Allstate come in to do the rough plumbing.
I had three different plumbers bid on the job and Allstate was the second lowest bid, but they estimating process was more professional and detailed than the low bidder which made me decide to go with them.
Once the wall was opened a new problem of a rusted pipe was found which caused an additional charge, which is expected, but it went up a little higher than I wanted.
The job took a little longer than expected including the unexpected pipe replacement, but the workmanship was above average and I am willing to take an extra day longer for good work.

I was on the fence about 4 or 5 stars, but the bottom line is that I would recommend Allstate.

I recently bought a gas dryer from western appliance (also reviewed), and after they installed it for the second time, the laundry room still smelled like gas.  I don't like to mess around with gas plumbing as a small mistake an lead to utter destruction of your house.  I called Allied, and they had it fixed within a day.  I also had them change the gas line to the hot water heater, since the previous resident used some sub-standard connector.

Price was high, but commensurate with work and professionalism.  I'd use them again for sure.

We called Allstate Plumbing after seeing positive reviews on Yelp. Our shower valve in our master bathroom would not regulate hot and cold.
Eddie from Allstate Plumbing promptly arrived and got to work. He removed the cover plate and determined that he could not remove the pressure valve because it was stuck. We then had to replace the whole shower valve assembly. He drove me to our favorite hardware store, Dale's Hardware in Fremont, to help me pick out a good shower valve.
We came back to install the Delta shower valve. He showed me where to saw a cutout in the sheet rock in the closet that was behind the shower so he could have access to the plumbing. He removed the old shower valve and then soldered in the new one. Everything works great and I would definitely call them with any future plumbing needs!

Deepok from Allstate is a fabulous service technician! I had a clog in my washer drain line and since I live in a townhouse built in the 70's there was no clean out. Prior to calling Allstate, another plumbing company attempted to snake out the line but they were unsuccessful. They couldn't get the snake around the bend after the p-trap. Their recommendation was to cut a hole in the wall at the trap, install a tee and clean out the line at that location. It was going to cost me some cash to go that route. After hearing rave reviews about Allstate, I decided to get a 2nd opinion. Deepok encountered the same issues as the previous plumber but the difference with him is that he didn't give up. When the snake jammed, he removed it and bent the tip at every angle until it found its way through the entire line. I was so happy with his persistence and determination to fix my issue!  I hope Deepok will return in the event of any future plumbing needs. Thank you!

We have used Allstate Plumbing before, for clogged drains, with good results.  So when we wanted to add a gas line to the kitchen for our new range, I called Paul.  As usual, he was friendly and professional during his visit and estimate.  Two guys came out to install the gas line, Temo and Sergio.  Both were very polite, cleaned up after there work, and were careful with each step of the install. Not an easy job, with much crawling under the house, and running pipe from one end of the house to the other, but these guys did a great job.  Will trust them again with any plumbing work I need.

Last minute call after Sears lost our appointment I had waited for all day. We had just moved and wanted the waterline in so we could still have our cold water and ice maker. Grabbed next appointment  available.
Great service that probably beat Sears cost anyways. Will call again when needed for sure. Recommended!

They quote your a low price then once they start work, they found more issues and make you pay more.  Stay away and shop around for your money.

I had a gas pipe that was leaking. The guy couldn't get the pipes threaded because his blade went out. So, he then had to go to homedepot and get it. This is when I felt like I could have done this myself. Replacing the pipe took all of 30 mins, not including going to homedepot. Pretty simple job, but way too expensive, 3 times more than what would have cost me. They were actually the cheapest one, but if I had done it myself I could have easily done it for less than $200.

The job was well done, the guy who came in was actually really nice as well. I would definitely go with this business again, if it's a job I can't do myself. You can trust these guys to do it right. Do shop around to find some good prices, because they will try to match the quote you were given.

It seems like my review isn't being posted.

I just had the weirdest experience.... Plumber came out (Paul) because I had a leaky upstairs shower.  He cut a hole in ceiling below and declared that it was a faulty shower door and not plumbing! The shock? He didn't charge me for what took half an hour! Nice guy too. Third or fourth time I've used them.

I have recently called them to get a quote to fix my refrigerator's ice maker water shut off valve. They told me that someone will stop by to take a look at that and provide me with a quote on that. Finally someone showed up after making me wait for more than 2 hours, and took a look at that. He said, let me attach a tape to that and see it works. if it does, it saves you lots of money and placed plumber tape around it to stop the leak and Voila, it worked. But, he called his manager to update the status and sought his advice on should he charge the customer. His manager replied that since you touched his pipe, you need to charge him for an hourly rate of 165$ with a discount of 40 since you did not do anything.

So, from getting just a quote , i landed up paying lot for nothing. The technician is a nice fellow and he himself felt very bad about it. May be most of the plumbers are like that only. My take from this is, i should not let them touch anything in my home without a quote first.

Yep, a plumber in today's world with a Five Star rating!!  That's Allstate Plumbing here in Fremont.  Fair, Fast, Knowledgeable, Courtesy and on time.  Would not even consider any of the nationally advertised for drain blockages, etc.  These guys are the real deal.

My shower floor was filling with water and debris from the floor drain, it also did the same thing in the other bathroom. I gave Allstate a call Wednesday in the afternoon and described my predicament to Paul. He sounded courteous, but didn't want to assess the situation nor give a  quote.

I asked if I can get an appointment with a plumber at 5:30pm. He said to expect someone between 6 and 8 pm. That was Miguel who arrived at half past 6. When he found out about the clogged shower and bath tub drains, he said it'll cost me $150 because service calls after 5pm are at this rate. I almost asked him to leave. He then gave me $25 discount because of Yelp. And he also added that if he can't unclog the drain after an hour, he won't charge me.

Miguel cleared the clog in less than 20 minutes. It was a quick and professional job, but I will probably try a different plumber next time because of the hourly rate.

I have used Allstate Plumbing three times based on the recommendation of
a  friend's review on yelp (installation of a new kitchen faucet, fixing the washing machine line, and unclogging a bathroom drain).  Each time I have received excellent service.

They arrive on time and prepared.

I couldn't ask for better service.  I highly recommend them.

Two reviews in one for Allstate.

My first experience with them was several months ago.  I have a cottage in my back yard with its own water heater, and I discovered a small gas leak in the attached pipe.  The heater closet also needed to be rebuilt, so I called Allstate to fix the pipe and remove the heater.  Kevin came by and did a fine job, but after he left I realized that I needed to have another section of the pipe removed before I could rebuild the closet.  It was totally my fault, but after I called Allstate again and explained the situation, he came back and removed the other section of pipe free of charge.

Then last Saturday, my old heater for the main house stopped working.  It was time to replace it anyway, so I called Allstate and requested Kevin.  He came out with a heater, but before he arrived I received an email with the results of an energy audit that had been completed the month before.  It was a crazy coincidence, and the report suggested a different kind of heater than Kevin was bringing.  When he arrived just a few minutes later, I was confused about what to do.  He was very nice about it, called his company to discuss it and even waited while I researched it a little bit.  I finally decided to hold off on the decision, so Kevin left but I was having real regrets because I was still without hot water.

About a half hour later - and remember this is on a Saturday - Jeff from Allstate called, and talked to me about various heater options (tankless in particular).  We decided together it wasn't worth the extra expense, so I decided to go ahead with a traditional tank.  This time, Jeff came out and did the installation, and did an outstanding job.  He installed some more modern pipes on the top of the heater for no extra charge, and when he noticed that the plumbing hadn't been properly bonded to the gas lines, he corrected that also.  We had a really good conversation and he gave me the names of a few other contractors (electrical, etc.) because of how hard it is to find good people who care about their work.

Jeff and Kevin both belong on that list of people who care.  Both of these situations were complicated by my own mistakes and indecision, but in both cases Allstate was extremely patient and helpful.  Thanks Allstate, and thanks Jeff and Kevin.

Just finished another job with ALLSTATE Plumbing Company. Marie is exceptional and a true professional treating their clients like family. I met with Paul Reeder and he listened and figured out what the issue was within minutes. He really took the time to make sure there were no others issues as well. He was so professional and you could tell he's a great plumber. We won't call any other company. We've worked with them for several years so we know they are the best out there. Thank you Paul for helping us get our kitchen running again!!! Kimberly P.

Please note that this review focuses on the quality of customer service and follow-up of Allstate Plumbing.

When I call for an estimate for both water heater replacement and copper re-piping back in February 2013, the staff at Allstate Plumbing were very friendly, courteous and proficient in assisting me in setting up an estimate appointment.

Then, on the day of estimate appointment, Mr. Paul Reeder came out and did a very thorough job in explaining the details of the two jobs along with some very useful suggestions (e.g., regular water heater vs. tankless).  I will never forget this.  Because my water heater happens to sit in a closet near the living room, Paul suggested to build a pan underneath the water heater to avoid any flood damage in case if the heater leaked or overflowed.  I have never thought of it because I did not know such pan exists.  And more importantly, he cares!  He also went the extra mile to check my front yard to see which part of piping really needed to be replaced with copper pipe.  On approach, Paul is gentle, friendly, straightforward and professional.  His written estimate is detailed, clear, descriptive and competitive.

I cannot ask for more or better in Paul's follow-up.  Because I had other estimates in hand, Paul was willing to review one of the lower estimates and gave me a discount while taking time and explaining to me why his job and pricing remained to be competitive.  Without coming across as forceful and yet still showing his strong interest in doing business with me, Paul even gave a couple follow-up calls afterward, just to check on my satisfaction with his pricing adjustment.  What a professional way of doing business!  Although I did not move forward with Allstate Plumbing because of family reason unrelated to Paul or his company, I enjoy my encounter with Paul and highly recommend this company to others for their quality customer service.  I will certainly call Paul or his company up next time when I have a plumbing problem.

Thank you, Paul.

By far the worst service ever! Repaired pipe 2 years ago for a job that suppose to last 20 years (by the technician). Same spot leaked and pumping 1500 gallons a day (we are at a commercial location). Technician suppose to come on Sat but never showed up - here gone 4500 gallons of precious California water! Finally came and said they want to charge $375 inspection fee and even if the leak came from same spot, we have to pay again. This is a company that does not take their client seriously and not stick to their schedule - stay away!!!

Noel came out the same day I called about a leak inside our wall. Dispatcher called ahead to tell me exactly when he'd arrive, and he was right on time.

He found the elusive leak on his first try, then asked if I wanted to fix a related problem at the same time.

The shower pipes that were leaking had been configured in an unnecessarily complicated way, with an L coming down from the ceiling and attaching to the wall.He fixed that too. No hard sell, just a suggestion which turned out to be a brilliant idea. He removed the ugly galvanized pipe sticking out of the ceiling, and replaced it with a nice wall mounted shower nozzle. It looks beautiful.

Don't know if they're the cheapest, but Noel did excellent work, was professional and polite, and not only fixed our leak but improved the whole bathroom.

They are a very good and fair company.  I called them last summer and called them back last week.  Their employees are very good, on time and friendly.  Paul is very fair.  He gave us an estimate and after the work was done, he revised the estimate and made it lower.  This is a very fair company and you will be very happy with them.

I called them after reading all the positive reviews. They are really good. A person answers the phone and someone was out to my home 2 hours later. He checked that my drains were not blocked and then diagnosed the problem to old toilets not flushing properly.
The next day they installed 2 new toilets and ran a snake through the drain anyway and confirmed it was clear.

It has been a dream to have a utility sink in the garage, and now the dream have finally come true. Allstate was the firm I hired and they did a great job. I pretty much knew what I wanted, and they did the job with skill, speed and cleanliness. They even re-configured the vent line after the dryer was re-posistioned. I should have negotiated down the price of the faucet install and the final price was a bit higher than the quote (to some surprise) due to some extra materials and a more detailed scope, but otherwise everything went well. Give them a call to provide a quote for your next job. No more using the kitchen sink to clean paint brushes!

We had a really bad clog in the kitchen and in the laundry room.  After reading other peoples review on them, we decided to get they a call.  They came out that morning  and they clear the clog.   They checked the kitchen and fix the small leak in the kitchen.  The cost was higher than I expected, but he gave us a discount when we mentioned yelp which help with the cost.  We have mention about the leaky sink in the laundry room, but it would have cost us more the cost of removing the clog.  So, I give them 4 1/2 stars not quite 5.

My least favorite thing as a homeowner is having to call a service person and on a Sunday, no less.  Half a dozen (no luck reaching anyone) calls in I came across Allstate Plumbing.  At that point, I left a message to see if they would call back.  They did.  Promptly.  Robyn was very nice and they could have someone come by within 2 hours.

We needed the plumber because we attempted to take out a non-functioning solar heated wall heater thing (??) that had been in there since the early 80s. (I'll let your imagination figure out the why we then needed a plumber...)  Jeff shows up and says no problem, I'm familiar with these.  He knew exactly what needed to be done (capping off two water lines) AND was familiar with what else we needed to take care of re the electrical of the unit, AND gave us some recycling of the solar panels and big reservoir tank suggestions .  AWESOME!

I'm a very happy customer.  Great service, friendly, knowledgeable about an obscure project, on-time, and all taken care of in an hour or so.  Just the kind of service company that will stay on our list.

I called a couple of companies to service a backed up sink for a family member.  The only company that offered an immediate response is this family owned business, Allstate Plumbing.  They were out the same day and corrected the problem.  Professional, knowledgeable and customer focused.  In addition to knowing their craft, they are timely.  They arrived at the time that they said they would.  Service fees are competitive and you can be sure that when the work is completed its nothing less then exemplary.  I would not hesitate to call upon Allstate Plumbing again.

Allstate recently installed a faucet we purchased and I'm impressed with the service!  The technician, Michael, took the time to explain the evidence that lead up to getting a new faucet, told me the options I had without pushing any particular product or service, and installed the faucet - all in a very professional manner.  He arrived early within the two-hour window and was finished about an hour later. What was most impressive is that he tested the appliance before leaving and left me options in case something backfired after he left.  Thank you Michael!

Ever since moving into this house, the shower drain was draining pretty slow.  Despite using some liquid plumber, the slow drain never went away and got even worse!

I searched through Yelp and found Allstate Plumbing. I received a call back the next morning and booked an appointment. It turned out that my slow drain was because of an old p-trap.

They were quick, courteous and very professional. If I ever have any plumbing issues in the future, I would gladly call Allstate Plumbing again!

So the pilot on my hot water heater blew out like 5 times in two weeks, so we decided to call the Rheem manufacturer. After giving my husband the run around, they finally diagnosed the problem and sent the bogus replacement kit. Well the kit had everything, but the part itself. Really?! Anyway, we called Allstate at 6 pm on Friday after going without hot water, and bathing in boiled water, for the several days that we were waiting on the part. I spoke to Paul. He said he'd send someone by 8. Michael arrived, inspected the situation. Within about 15 minutes he correctly diagnosed the problem. By 10:00, he had the new part, he'd installed it and within 15 minutes the water was hot. All for $150. The value of going into the weekend with hot water was priceless. Thanks for A+ service and quality.

Allstate did a great job on a gas-line install.  We had a few other companies come and look at our house for the gas-line install, but a couple did not want to do it and others seemed very unprofessional.  Paul came out, looked at our home and gave us a reasonable quote for the job.  Jeff was the main tech that worked on our home.  He was very professional and did an excellent job.  He also advised us on a few other things he would get fixed in our home.  I would recommend Allstate to anyone looking for a gas-line installation.

I called Allstate for a kitchen faucet replacement.  It was easy to make an appointment by calling and leaving a message.  I was called back in a timely manner and was offered several appointment times.  The plumber got to my house during the allotted time and worked hard to keep his time spent under 1 hour.  He was knowledgeable and offered plumbing and equipment advice.  Overall, it was fast and easy, which was nice since we didn't have water in our kitchen for several days before calling.

One thing that could have been better would have been either laying down plastic on the floor or putting covers over his shoes because he left a few dirty shoes marks on our carpet.

I have been using Allstate for many years when the occasional problem arises.  This week, there was a leak in what I thought was the supply line leading to the toilet.  No biggie.  Shut off the water and can replace it this weekend.  But turn on the water to use the toilet and it seems to be leaking in two places now.  So I call Allstate.  The replace the fill tube.  It took all of 15 minutes.  When I came home later, I noted there was still leakage.  They came back out that day and replaced the supply line as well as the valve at no cost!!!  The service was great!

My kitchen sink backed up on the Saturday of a 3 day weekend.  The plumbers I have used in the past were going OOT - didn't want to root it.

After Yelping, I am so glad I took a chance with Allstate Plumbing!  I called at 9 and they were there by 11.  I'd had the line cleaned out before, but there was backup to another sink in the wet bar.  Oh boy, I thought, here comes chargeroo for sink number 2.

As they were on the same line, it was only one charge, which was more than reasonable as it was.

The drain professional was courteous, pleasant, and knew his stuff.  He was tidy and there was no mess when he was done.

I got a water heater leak today and everything just looked as bad as it could be. Called up a couple plumbing companies and allstate is the first to come with very competitive price for the replacement project. The installer Eddie is very friendly and gave me quite some hints regarding how to keep the heater longer. The removal and installation all happened within 2 hours after the arrival and I got a working new heater for the night.

Problem: No hot water.
Noticed that the pilot died. So followed the instructions and tried to light the pilot. Did not work. I looked around yelp and chose Allstate Plumbing. They had decent reviews.
Paul answered the phone and said they would come between 10-11am. Cezar arrived at 10.15am. Pretty punctual. He replaced the thermo-couple and still the thing did not work. Seems the valve at the bottom of the heater to die. Heater needs to be replaced.
He recommended that, first, I call the manufacturer to see if I have any warranty available. He did not push their product aggressively.
Conclusion: All in all a decent job. The work area was left clean. Would definitely recommend.

I was charged by not only the hourly rate the company was agreed originally, but also additional charge (hidden fee that I wasn't informed when I first called for a quote/rate). I was told about that extra charge only after the plumber started working on my home.  The reason that the company was given for the hidden charge was because the extra equipment usage. I ended up paying double the price I was first told. I would not recommend anyone to use this company.

Um, one of the worst experiences I have had and not to mention the very first with trying to get work done with a plumber.  Guys came in at the appointed time and I went over what I wanted done and when they gave me the price I took 2 steps back because it was ridiculous considering that the things I wanted done, I could do myself but wanted the professional work done.  They asked for 625 bucks to replace the bathroom faucet and handles, install a faucet for the sink, and fix a faulty part of a toilet.  When I asked them if I were to get a new toilet how much would it cost to install it.  They told me 250 bucks!  If it means anything to anyone, it's not the price really that makes whether or not I would do the service it's the HONESTY!  These guys surely had none.  There was 2 of them.  So considering they both did the job and got it done in one hour that's 600 bucks an hour and for the 2 of them make that 300 bucks an hour - COMPLETE RIP OFF!  I hate cheaters, liars, and scammers and they seem to fit the picture.

I have had some bad experiences with plumbers but Allstate is by far the WORST.  First, they took forever to return the initial call from the property management company. Then they send out a guy who can't smell to investigate an odor issue. Then they sent the wrong quote and delayed getting anyone out for more than a week. They said it was all fixed - NOT EVEN CLOSE! They do not return calls timely or show up when promised. If you have a choice, GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE!

I had a 16 year-old water heater in my house that needed to be replaced in my house. I found a sticker from on the old water heater that showed that it was installed by Allstate. I called the number to see if they are still in business, which they are. I scheduled an install, and Sergio came by the next day. He was on time, professional, and knew what he was doing. He did a great, clean job installing the new water heater. He cleaned up after himself and explained all the paperwork. Their price was very competitive and fair.

I needed a replacement water heater and fast!  No time to play phone tag with message machines and such.  Allstate came out on time and did the job at a fair price.  Glad I called.

A couple weeks ago, our upstairs' bath tub handle broke and we weren't able to turn on the water to take a shower.  So I went on Yelp to find a plumber.  Originally, we called another plumbing company to come out and take a look.  The guy who answered the phone said he would give us a quote but won't be able to work on it because his schedule was full.  When he arrived, he told us that we had to change the valve and gave us a quote.  He even said that it was the only way to fix it.  We weren't too happy with the price he quoted so we called Allstate.  A couple hours later, Allstate sent a plumber and he gave us 2 quotes: one was to try to remove the existing faucet, change the broken piece and put the faucet back in and the other choice was to change the valve.  The plumber, who I believe was also the owner, went immediately to work with the cheapest quote he gave us.  After removing the faucet, the water burst out and it started leaking water.  This is when all of us decided that we should just change the valve.  The price he quoted us was a couple hundred dollars cheaper than the first plumbing company we called, so we were very happy with the cost and they showed excellent customer service.  The other plumbing company gave me a negative vibe.  I saw that they had two different company names on Yelp so that was a red flag for me.

Overall the quality, value, professionalism, and timeliness of my plumbing request was met and exceeded.  I will always call Allstate first for all my plumbing needs moving forward.  I had some work that needed to be done and had three estimates submitted.  Out of the three, Allstate was the one that showed up on time and on the appointed day.  Also during the review of the job, Victor pointed out some additional issues for me to be aware of but in no way pressured me to decide at the moment.  He provided an estimate on the spot and was able to provide his availability to get the work done.  My dad is a professional plumber, so have some exposure to what to look for.  I knew as soon as he left I wanted him to do the work.  I had one bid come in quite a bit lower than the Allstate bid but when I contacted Victor he met the competitors bid.  Good for me!! Victor was able to come early on Saturday morning and was done by noon.  What impressed me most was the excellence in his work and the fact that when he was done, you couldn't tell he was there except for the new plumbing.  My dad had always taught me to leave the place cleaner than you found it on a job and Victor did just that.  Thanks to Victor and to Allstate for a GREAT experience.

We had our water heater broke down and our garage was having water (not a pretty site)  After reading the reviews here, I called Allstate just to see how it went.  On the phone I provided our water heater brand and capacity and was delighted to know the company carried this brand as well. The technican then came right on time, and I had the choice to choose between 40 G and 50 G the same brand heater that were already available on site  and then presented the quote. The cost is reasonable and fair. He is very professional that he first cleaned up the area where the new water heater would be installed and completed everything efficiently. He also made sure all faucets are having water coming out ok before he left.  Now we have hot water and it is great !!

I called Allstate Plumbing after finding them on YELP.  We needed a reliable contractor to identify a water leak problem in our house.  Paul from Allstate showed up at our house, he was on time and very professional.  He was able to diagnose the problem quickly (broken pipe under the house, causing excessive water usage) took pictures to show us the pipe problems.  After seeing multiple leaks in the house, along with old, semi clogged pipes, we decided to have the house replumbed. This is a 48 year old house with old galvanized pipes, the water pressure is almost non-existent in some of the bathroom sinks and showers.  Victor and Caesar spent several days working on this job and they were very professional, fast, and timely.  This is a large plumbing job and I felt they did excellent work, and they also did a good job cleaning up afterwards. We didn't think about replacing the bathroom fixtures (i.e. hot/cold controls) but that was brought to our attention and we decided to do that as well. (this is additional cost, though) They did offer us a Yelp discount which helped us a lot.  After the repiping job, we found another old, cracked, pipe which was not part of the original work order, and had to call them back to help us again. This small job was done quickly and professionally as well.  It has been 2 weeks after the work has been done and we've had no problems. The new pipes work great! Thank you Allstate Plumbing!!! Two Thumbs up!

We were pleased with the work performed and with the option of buying some of the supplies ourselves to save some money. They were friendly and did a good job on the water intake pipe that my husband had already fixed twice. It has been a few months since the repair and there are no problems.

We returned from a vacation with a leaking, broken water heater.  We found Allstate on Yelp, called them on a Sunday morning, and had someone out to help us and give us an estimate the same morning.  The price was reasonable, they didn't charge us anything extra for the weekend work, and they went ahead and did the job quickly and professionally.  We're happy with their work and would definitely call them again.

Yeah I am a fan.  We had several leaks in our old pipes and with kids you cant go without water.   They responded very fast.  Paul was professional and very helpfull.  His crew did a great clean job and in a timely manner.  We were up and running in no time with new copper pipes.

A few months ago our bathroom main line clogged up, and after spending some time trying to unclog it ourselves, we decided this clog was going nowhere and we needed to call in the pros. Not to mention it was a Sunday night. We looked up a few places here on yelp, called a few and Allstate was the first to call us back. The plumber came out at 8 p.m., crawled under the house to check things out and successfully cleared our clog. He was friendly and professional - got everything taken care of in just 2 hrs or so - we would definitely call Allstate again for future service.

I had a broken water main underground in front of my house, and called Allstate to take a look.  I dealt with several of their employees, and found them all to be helpful and professional.  They did their best to try and find the leak so it could be repaired quickly and inexpensively.   Unfortunately, the leak became impossible to find due to the way the pipe was originally installed when the house was built.  But they were patient and helpful when showing me the problem, and answered all of my questions.  I ended up having them replace the whole main from the meter to my shutoff valve, which was a big job, but was done quickly and professionally.  I would not hesitate to use them again.

The people from taking my calls to the service technicians have been extremely professional and friendly. This is the type of customer service that are needed and important for repeat business. If I ever had a problem, Allstate Plumbing would be the first one I would call. Allstate helped install my faucet and replace the toilet for us and they were patient. Costs are competitive, but a little high for me. However, they make it up for their service.

Sergio from AllState Plumbing came out and worked under my house that was flooded and muddy from the leaking water inlet line and the kitchen/laundry drain. He  worked from morning until about 9 or 10 at night! It was miserable down in the crawlspace and slow work due to the smelly little lakes I had under my house. He came back on a separate day to install some brackets to support the long pipe runs (he didn't need to do this since I didn't go under the house and would not have known). Great work and I plan on using them again when I get around to re-piping the rest of the house.

Needed a gas line extention for a new cooking range, called some other company and they quoted  $750 which seemed too much to me. Based on the reviews here I called AllState, These folks are professionals and honest. Paul (a supervisor ) came, quoted me 275 $, then after 2 days Eddie came in the morning and finished the work in one hour to my satisfaction..I am extremely pleased..

I called them to diagnose my hot water heater, which was leaking and not working at all.  The plumber showed up on time and was very professional and courteous.  He indicated that it would need replacing, which is what I was expecting, given the problem.  Fortunately they ask for the make/model of your heater prior to the appointment, just in case it does need replacing.  So the plumber had brought a replacement one in the van, ready to go.  He got the job started on the spot and got done pretty quickly.  I haven't had any problems with the new heater since and overall am quite pleased with their work.  I would certainly go with them again if needed.

I needed to have a new garbage disposal installed so I called
Allstate plumbing based on Yelp review. The service guy arrived
promptly and he found out that a piece of pipe will need to be purchased
so he went out to buy the pipe for me. So there is additional charge for
the part and for buying the part for me, but considering the time he spent , the charge is quite reasonable with me having seen outrageous charges before. After the installation, the service guy tested for water leaking and everything was fine.
After  a week, unfortunately I had a clogged drain and there was some leaking at the pipe. I called Allstate plumbing and the next day
the service guy came and made sure there  was no leaking even under clogged drain situation. Since it was under warranty, there was
no charge. As I was happy with their service, I asked them to fix my clogged drain. And it was fixed quickly.
Overall, I would recommend Allstate Plumbing based on their courteous service, reasonable price and also being prompt .

I needed an anti-siphon valve replaced in my backyard. They showed up ahead of schedule, completed the job in 45 minutes, everything worked perfectly as they said it would. I also got some extra tips on how to make the most of the new plumbing they had installed, and tips to fix other minor sprinkler issues. A bit expensive, i thought, but I got what I paid for. Great service - I'd recommend them again any day.

Called Allstate on a recent Sunday morning for a line backup affecting the whole house. The response was both prompt and courteous, and we can't say enough kind things about the service we received from Miguel. He worked very hard to clean the lines, pointed out a small leak in a line connecting the toilet to water supply, and then cleaned his work area in both bathrooms better than the bathrooms had been cleaned before. The service isn't particularly cheap, but good service is worth paying for. No question we'll use Allstate the next time we need a plumber. Thanks, Miguel!

I had a water line leakage in my front yard.    Allstate Plumbing came out as scheduled and  fixed the problem.   The plumber was very polite and explained the problem and solution quite well.    I thought the price was maybe a bit high but reasonable for the amount of work.   I will probably use them again.

Our house is 50 years old and we have struggled with the washing machine overflowing for years. We have tried different plumbers and I have always been less than satisfied.
I found Allstate from Yelp, and then was told by our handyman that
Allstate was who he would recommend as the people are talented and ethical.
Alfredo came out and was very  professional. He explained that he would try to clear the drain in the shortest time possible, but if that didn't work, he had other methods to make sure that our washing machine didn't overflow anymore. Sure enough, he worked for an hour without stopping before he finally got the pipe cleared and we were only charged for the basic rate. Alfred also told me of things we can do in the future to upgrade our pipes without having to replace all of the drain pipes.
I really appreciate his conscientiousness and sensitivity as well as his professionalism and downright talent.
It's good to know we have the name of a plumber we can call without holding our breath in fear of being ripped off.

After reading reviews for Allstate Plumbing, I decided to give them a call. It was a Saturday and they showed up in hours. I live in a condo and had my hot water was restricted at the shower. He was able to resovle the issue without shutting off the water to the entire complex or replacing any parts. He literally saved me hundreds of dollars. I'd defintely use them again.

Just had a tank-less water heater installed and gas plumbed to the kitchen for a future remodel.  These guys went beyond what was expected and also lent us a temporary hot water heater while we were down.  They even painted my new roof vent so it matched the rest!  I'm definitely using the again for the kitchen remodel.

Pros:
  1) Solid fix.  No shenanigans, no skimping on components.
  2) Same-day fix.  From me making the initial call to fix done was under 2 hours.
  3) Professional and courteous.

Cons:
  1) Price was a bit higher than I was expecting, but not by much.
  2) Did not have supplies on-hand but
My whole-house water service sprung a fast leak and I was at a loss as how to fix it.  The leak was roughly 6 inches away from my foundation so I knew it had to be fixed ASAP as water can damage concrete foundations.  I like DIY, I can replace a toilet, faucet etc. but as this was a high-pressure line direct from the water main I decided to ask a professional.  I called Allstate @ 3PM on a Saturday and they had a man on-site within 2 hours.  Very friendly over the phone, and the person who showed up was professional and courteous.  He explained what needed to be done and quoted me a flat figure.  I agreed and he got to work.
Job was done in under 2 hours total.  Work required was slightly less than hour, but he was missing a critical part and needed to make a run for supplies.  From what I read they do not charge for time spent gathering supplies, but as this was a flat rate it didn't matter.  He took the time to explain what he was doing as he was doing it, something that I appreciate.

My realtor friend recommended Allstate Plumbing when our bathroom was suddenly clogged. They arrived in under 2hrs as promised, did a great job, cleaned up the area very well and left. Price-wise, when we felt that we had overpaid, the manager called us back the very next day and explained the details of the price and even sent us a check for $25 for inconveniencing us at dinner time..all said and done, very nice folks and would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

I am a Fremont homeowner and I have a broken pipe in the main water switch that also connects to my front lawn sprinkler system.  I called Allstate Plumbing after seeing the good ratings from Yelp.com.  The lady , Maria, who answered the phone was very courteous and helpful and she set up an evening appointment for me on the next day.  Michael was the plumber who showed up at my house and he really impressed me as a very courteous, professional, thorough and honest plumber.  Michael was very thorough in fixing my plumbing problems with pricing that was very reasonable.  The job turned out to be more complex than we have both expected.....but Michael got this job fixed to my full satisfaction.  I will definitely use Michael and Allstate Plumbing again next time I have another plumbing problem.  Allstate Plumbing has truly lived up to its rating as an outstanding plumbing company in Fremont.  As such, I am giving them a FIVE STAR rating.
