I had a gas leak at my EQ Shut off.

George informed me before he started what he was going to do, his procedure for dealing with gas repairs and what to expect if the gas line continues to leak

He made sure there were no surprises

And when he finished he did everything that he explained

George is worth returning to MP for any future problems

I would give 0 star, if I can. The manager of this office, Mark Wright, handled my case. I simply only need an annual backflow test. The test failed the first time. I want to understand what is broken before paying more to repair. Mark can't explain clearly in the email or phone call what is broken. I insisted to have an appointment with technician to be onsite together to understand the problem. It turns out the suggested repair (service the relief valve) can't fix the problem. I am glad that I can meet the tech. The failure is due to a bad relief stem instead. Then I asked to repair the broken part. I keeps checking in for the progress by email and progress. Email has no response. Mark promised to call me back but never. I have to keep calling until today Mark hung up my call. During today's call, I was not angry or had any emotion. I just want to ask why I called two days ago but there is no progress. He doesn't want to explain more.

It is a simple test and repair. It already took a month already. I have been the one have to call in every few days to check progress. Mark promised so many times that he will call me back and he never called me back.

Our sewer line backed up and these guys were here immediately. George was professional and efficient. He solved the issue and helped clean up the affected area.

My condo's HOA only has two plumbing companies which are allowed to shut off water since I was getting my angle stops replaced after 10 years.  I was lucky and got Anthony as my plumber.  He is friendly, super helpful, and explains issues and gives tips on how to make sure i don't clog up the sink.  

Some things that made my experience better is that I knew what was the things I needed to be done since Master Plumbing charges 200 an hour even if its just for an estimate so do beware!  I had Anthony come do the sewage snaking and take a look at the same time at what else needed to be done so that I wouldn't be charged 200 just for estimate.  Then I made another appointment for the other work.

It does take a long time to get an electronic invoice from Master Plumbing.. I had work one a week ago and still have not received the electronic copy so do beware.

I told the service line that i thought the plumbing lines of my faucet were frozen and  I told them that I thought we needed to tell the HOA to give the neighbors notice 3 days in advanced. They reassured me that I didnt need to have the master line shut off and that they would send a plumber the same day.  The plumber came and said that indeed the lines were frozen and that they needed to turn off the master line.

They then charged me for the diagnosis that I already provided and left without doing any work.

DO NOT do business with them. They make false promises then go back on their word.

Jorge and Edgar came out to fix a problem with a noisy pipe inside a wall. This was the second company I had look at the problem (1st company did the wrong thing that had to be undone by Master). Jorge accurately identified the problem the first time he came out and then fixed it with Edgar after I finally got approval for the job to be done. They're honest guys and they do good work. Cleaned up well before they left.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I've never had a worse experience with a service provider. As a realtor, I work with contractors frequently. These guys quoted $2700 to replace three bathroom faucets and the angle stops underneath one sink. I showed up on the job site an hour into the project and all they had done was put out some plastic, replaced one set of angle stops and take off three faucet handles. He then tells me, $2700 for the three faucets.  I told him to stop work immediately. It took them 20 minutes to put it all back together and they gave me a bill for $810- beyond ridiculous. I talked with the owner, Bart Adam, and said no way,  I'll pay you $500 for just two angle stops, which I felt was more than fair. His response? He said you're a realtor and make lots of money, too bad. If you don't pay me $750, I'll put a lien on the house and screw up your sale. I can't believe what an unprofessional response and absolute price gouging. Stay away, far far away from these guys.

Our toilet had a serious issue. Master plumber was a call away. George 37 was in charge of the work and did a good job fixing it.

I live in a condo where master plumbing is the plumber of choice for our HOA. I had a leaky kitchen angle stop valve and some water arrestors I wanted to have replaced and set up an appointment with them. I'm very particular about what parts get used in my condo and I sourced my own for the job. Master plumbing said they could use them and install it but that there wouldn't be a warranty since they didn't provide the parts. I agreed to that and scheduled for them to come out. The guy who came out was very helpful and polite to deal with. After the work was done and I was running the dishwasher I noticed a leak and eventually discovered two. One being the compression valve at the angle stop that I was able to tighten the other being water seeping through the Teflon tape at the water arrestor.  I contacted master plumbing and they said they'd send someone out to look at it but since it was my part it would be $200 an hour minimum of an hour for them to come out and look at it. And again $200 an hour for the repair for the water shutoff. Regardless of the fact that this isn't a part issue, the part is fine, the issue was with the installation of the part. Instead of losing another $400 I cancelled having them come out, rented a pipe freezer on my own to do the work without shutting off water for the entire building, undid the arrestor and installed new Teflon to fix the issue. I've included a picture below where you can see water seeping through the threading.

Here's the thing, I grew up in the trades and stuff like this happens from time to time. It's why companies warranty their work. I'd totally hire the guy who did the actual work again too, just not master plumbing as a company. They don't stand behind their work on a simple issue and tried to blame me for my part which wasn't the culprit at all. I also forgot to mention I discovered a leak in our water heater room that they did the install on and had to fix a couple of days later.  I wonder if they somehow blamed that on us and made the HOA pay for that as well. Long story short, avoid this company, they don't stand behind their installs.

Ken changed out two Moen shower cartridges and the toilet mainline.  Completed work in one hour.   Happy with the work.  Ken was great!

Don't bother calling them unless you are prepared to move and replace your appliances yourself so their plumbers have easy access to any drain.  We have a small, stacked washer/dryer combo and are senior citizens.  Master Plumbing told us we needed to hire an appliance mover prior to sending out a plumber to get the washer/dryer out of the way of the drain.  The fact that they refuse to move the washer/dryer a couple of feet out from the wall, and put it back tells me they are not interested in working with seniors or disabled persons.

I has two very different experiences for one plumbing job that ended up taking two weeks with 4 different plumbers. For the first 3 plumbers who came out I would give 1 star - for George our final plumber I would give 5 stars. Since I can only post once I'm averaging the stars.

1 st day - 1 plumber does not have a mask (I asked him to put one on as I am immunocompromised and I have a baby)... so I handed him one and he put it on. He had shoe covers, but did not take them off between his trips outside and between units in our building while looking for a leak. Then an older white guy comes to the door saying he's his boss and proceeds to walk in with no shoe covers or mask. When asked to please put a mask on he rudly says, Why don't you just put a mask on the baby. He eventually puts a mask on but not until he's half way through our condo. The leak is not found this day.

2nd day- a second  plumber joins the first and the rude boss plumber. When scheduling day two I mentioned the mask experience from day 1, so all 3 plumbers wore masks this time but only one had shoe covers.... they cut into the walls under 3 sinks, left dirty tracks all across the tile and carpet and still did not find the leak.  The rude boss said him when referring to the other woman in the room- misgendering her while talking about her, but not to her, which was awkward. They said they could not proceed until the vanity was removed... but they would try given my situation... IE I'm a mom.  Because of my slow HOA and the communication between them and Master Plumbers.. it took 2 weeks for a plumber to be scheduled to return and continue the job...

Final day- George (I got his name so if there are issues in the future hopefully I can request him)- he said he usually teaches the plumbers, but doesn't come out to job sites himself... He was very knowledgeable. He started where the plumbers had left off (where the vanity had been taken out per their request. He cut into the wall to see the pipes, but then went back to the kitchen where he discovered the pipe that was leaking almost immediately. He had the pipe out and a new one on its way in minutes. He checked to see if any other pipes had issues- which they did not. Super knowledgeable, fast, and respectful. When asked to put on a mask he grabbed one from his truck and he put shoe covers on/off every time he entered. I think if he would have been our plumber on day 1, our issue would have been fixed on day 1. 5 stars for George.- I wish I could leave him a separate review since I had such a different experience.

After a poor experience with Rotorooter who came to unclog our drain on June 30,2022 we called Master Plumbing. George diagnosed our problem and after some adjustments-corrected the problem. MP customer service/relations was wonderful compared to RR.

The HOA for my elderly cousin's condo complex uses this plumber & they were already going to be inside his (horrible--he's a mentally ill hoarder) unit to investigate a leak at the request of the HOA. I hired a cleaner the day before to make the bathroom sanitary first.  The cleaner told me that the bathtub had no hot water. I live 50 miles away & can't go check this myself very easily.

Since MasterPlumbing was  going into work his bathroom anyway at the HOA's request, HOA (but I will end up paying it), I authorized  up to $500 to repair the hot water situation  & understood there is a one hour minimum.  Their hourly rate is $170.

They deserve some extra compensation for going into a yucky place, for sure.  

I got an emailed invoice for $170 & a voicemail back saying the hot water is working fine (maybe the cleaner did not run the water long enough for it to get hot) & we might consider replacing the older shower valve.  To get some value out of the fee, I would've asked for that replacement  but, when I called back, 10 min later, all I got was voicemail.  

Given that the tech ran the water and found it's hot, he literally did nothing else for me specifically.  I asked for a quote for re-piping because I want to understand the upper limit of the fees here.  Instead of providing that, he just said he saw no reason for re-piping since it's already all copper pipes.   Since he was not opening up walls & he did not explain his reasoning,  other than to say it's already piped with copper, I think he misunderstood why I was asking for the quote. Since I could not reach him to re-explain or ask him to replace the valve he mentioned, it's a sunken cost.

Given that they  were already being paid to be there by the HOA & they essentially did nothing of value for me, and I did not even get a written re-pipe quote, I think common decency would merit a reduction in the fee to something like $100.  

I am forced to pay most of the bills for this relative, who would otherwise be homeless, by myself.  Being gouged under these circumstances, feels particularly inhumane.

I explained, albeit angrily, and it fell on deaf ears.

Condo HOA asked that I call Master Plumbing to check out a plumbing issue that could potentially be a building issue. The technician was good (Anthony), however at the time of the invoice, even though my HOA had communicated to Master Plumbing that they would foot the bill so to bill them directly, they insisted that I foot the cost and give my CC details - does not make any sense. Customer Service (Ken & Austin) were extremely rude and did not want to listen to what I was saying.

Does it really matter to them who pays the bill as long as it is being paid? Why make a huge fuss about this? Too bad this happened, just left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Master Plumbing was recommended by my regular plumbing service who couldn't come til the next day. The plumber, Anthony, arrived early in the given window. He was efficient and friendly and quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the necessary parts to stop the leak. I would call them again.

They have a real jerk on the front desk. I ask for an appointment that would take an hour. He gave me a date and time. I waited and I called when they failed to arrive. Then he said the appointment was Friday the 27th. I told him I am in the ski business and need it now. He was nasty and I got nastier.
This is not the first time I had it out with this jerk. I suggest Master Plumbing fire this guy as he is not doing the company any good. They also charge $210.00 an hour plus parts. If they make a mistake, it may be weeks before you are back up and running and they have no warranty.

I worked with Jorge 37 and he was very professional and courteous during the entire trip in which he had to replace my existing faucet with a new one, in February 2020. Remeber to ask if they have a trip charge.  They do!! Master plumber has atrip charge whether or not you pick them.  They spent 29 minutes to assess and charged me $172.  And they have the highest bid among all the plumbers I solicited.  Over 50% higher than the final bid I accepted.   There are a lot of high quality plumbers on the peninsula that will come out to inspect a water pipe leak without trip charge.  Don't make the same mistake I did.  I called them because my neighbor used them once.  And I forgot to ask them a trip charge question.

They dont volunteer to explain this over the phone. You have to ask.

Wow these guys are awesome! George came within two hours and expeditiously fixed our leaky bathtub faucet. This is the same faucet that my apartment complex's two maintenance guys have fixed several times without complete resolution. We had all sorts of problems after our maintenance guys opened it up last year and replaced parts-- it continued to drip and then we couldn't get hot water because the handle was misaligned. Then they tried to fix that and almost flooded our bathroom. Today George not only fixed our leak, but did it in such a way that the handle is now easier to turn on and off. So happy!!!

We needed the water shutoff valves in our condo unit changed out, as the originals were stuck and would not turn.  We had one replaced approx 15 years ago, but now we needed both to function as we needed to do some plumbing repairs.  I called Master Plumbing and explained the issue....that we needed shutoff to the entire building to replace the valves in our unit.  They requested that I send them the tenant notification notice indicating that the building would be without water from 8:00 AM to 1:00 pm - which i did.  So they knew that the issue required water shutoff to the entire building.  

The plumber got to my door at 8:30 AM and I showed him the closet with the shut off valves.  He was upset because the work order indicated that the repair was to the valves under the sink which would NOT have required the entire building to be shut off!!!!  He was not happy with this news and said he didn't have the necessary plumbing fittings to do my job (and also the job of another resident who needed the same service).  He said he would not be able to do both units in the required time, since the work order was incorrect.  He called down to his office and had the parts sent up with another plumber who would do the job for my neighbor.

Then he didn't know how to shut down the water heaters, etc in the building.  Luckily, the association president was available to give him access to the water heater shut offs.  This took quite a bit of time before he could start on my job.

There was a great deal of interaction between my plumber and the plumber working on my neighbor's unit.  They would both take time coming and going from unit to unit and talking...i.e. Wow, my access is way harder than yours, etc etc etc.

When they are finally done - my bill was over $850.00....my neighbor's over $750.00!!!!!  We both thought the job could have easily been done in 2 hrs - not the 4+ hours we were charged for.   I called the office to explain that the work order was incorrectly written and that this resulted in additional time and cost.  They said that the parts arrived immediately (no idea how this could have been done so quickly) and the extra time was due to the first plumber not knowing where the water heater shut off was located.  I didn't argue and paid the bill....but I think it very unfair, as if the work order had been correctly written - they would possibly have asked where the shutoff's were located before they came out.

The work done was fine....but, in my opinion (and that of my husband and neighbor) it was not a very professional operation.  So just be aware that you need to have them be very clear about what you need before the plumber arrives.

Isaac and his boss were great - very professional and polite.  Scheduling was easy.  I got a call that they were en-route, and they arrived shortly after that, with COVID-safe masks.  Then they got straight to work to figure out the issue, and came inside my home with their face-coverings on, booties and were respectful of distancing.  Quick and fantastic work, and things are back in order and working condition!  Great job!  Thank you!

Had an issue resolving a leaky toilet. Called my HOA who recommended me to Master Plumbing. The 10-2 window two business days later wasn't exactly desirable, but I took the day off work to help out the guy.

Was surprised to get the call 8:50 that he's on his way, and my man Dean (35) arrived around 9:20. Great for me, but might be inconvenient for others.

Anyways, Dean was a super personable guy, helped tackle my maintenance issue step by step. It's a kind of problem I might have fixed myself back at home, but watching Dean work comforted me in seeing another man at home in his craft. He was an extremely personable guy who lived a lot, and we were swapping stories over a somewhat mundane repair, plus he helped me out with a couple other sink problems impromptu.

Of course, this kind of help isn't really free when you're dealing with a pro-rated $132/hour plus parts cost. Wouldn't have believed this is one of the cheaper options around if the other company I called didn't tell me $250 for a 15 minute job.

Only part detracting from the experience is that 3 hours later I noticed he forgot his vacuum! Somehow Dean was still around doing work on the main lines in the big business next door, so I was able to give it back to him. Guess it shows how much Master Plumbing is valued by the companies around here.

If you like paying for a job two times, use this company. We had to pay tens of thousands of dollars more because the job wasn't done properly in the first place by Master Plumbing.

The Story: Master plumbing came to repair a busted pipe Aug 2016. I was reassured, it would never break again. They used copper pipe to connect to the plastic pipes, which was supposed to make it more secure per Master Plumbing's estimator. (Later found out, this was a bad idea.)

Less than a year later it broke again. Master Plumbing opened up the asphalt a second time to see if the warranty would apply. It broke 1-2 feet away from the previous fix, so of course, it's not under warranty. Master Plumbing's estimator at this time said the whole pipe should have been repaired instead of just one area. AN ESTIMATOR FROM THE SAME COMPANY said it should have been fixed a different way the first time. And now, we are the ones paying almost $20,000 more to have it repaired a second time (by a different company no doubt!)

I would never recommend this company to anyone. On top of them not resolving the issue the first time, they have the audacity to charge over $2,000 for a steel plate rental for 2 months. And this is after they billed us another $1,000 for the entire month of September even though they picked up the plates on 9/2. But don't worry, they prorated the price from $1,000 to $250. How nice of them to continue to milk us for money.

They don't fix the problem and price gouge at every  chance.

Sergio, Victor and George came out on a Friday evening for a sewer line backup and stayed until almost 10pm to make sure we wouldn't have any problems over the weekend.  They were friendly and professional the entire time.  I highly recommend them for all of your plumbing and sewer needs!

We had a plumbing issue on the second floor of one of our buildings. Twice a week, the toilets on the second floor of one of our buildings would get backed up. George came out and snaked his camera through the drain pipe. He found a set of keys inside the pipes. With unique ingenuity, George fished out those keys. He cleared thdrain pipe without having to tear up the walls. Thanks for your help George.

Decent install, lousy service.

Installed a hot water heater several years ago which went well; however, the heater stopped working after about 8 years. Fine, thermocouples fail.

They replaced the entire pilot assembly which took two service trips and $300+. Then two weeks later, the pilot is out again and will not restart. They came out again and the pilot lit for their tech, who then said everything is fine, voided the repair warranty and went away. One week after that, the pilot is out again.

I'm not using Master Plumbing anymore.

We found out that our main sewage line was leaking and that you can smell it sometimes in certain closets. Not good!! I don't know about you but I like to avoid having any sewage smell in the house as much as possible. Luckily, Ken and his trusted plumbers came and fixed the problem. They were fast, efficient, and managed to fix everything at a decent price after all. I highly recommend them!! :)

This place definitely has some kind of scam going on with the HOA company. 3.50 hours to disconnect a water line for the fridge and charge 476.00$. And the shame is its the second time within a yr for the same problem. They may be okay to deal with directly, I don't know because we did not have that type of experience but when an HOA is involved it seems like they love to milk money out of people they call customers.

We had to turn the house water off to remedy a loose valve behind the washer. With the goal of getting the water back on, we called Master Plumbing in the early evening (emergency call). Ken came to our rescue, diagnosed the problem, and was able to fix the valve so that the house water could be turned back on.

We called our regular plumber, but Ken responded before they did.

Horrible service. My HOA hires this company to repair cold water lines to the complex. My place was flooding so of course I had questions. When I asked a question I corrected by a supervisor that he doesn't answer my questions only those that come from the HOA. Then once they started working on my unit they had to fix errors 3 times. The plumber then had the nerve to ask for good yelp review. What a joke your insulting customer not doing a job correctly 2x then you ask for a good review? Over my dead body

Called Master Plumbing at 8am and had Jorge at my door at 1:15pm ready to solve my problem.  My 3 toilets were backing up regularly with every go and I was stuck plunging to solve the problem. After checking the flush and listening to my story Jorge knew the only way to diagnosis the problem was to camera the line. I agreed. He called for the camera and it was delivered to my home from another location and sure enough Jorge's diagnosis of blistered pipes was confirmed.  If it was in one set of pipes there's good odds it's in the other pipes.
Jorge put my toilet back neater than when he took it apart, he cleaned up behind him and told me an estimate would be co.ing from the office. I was very impressed with Jorge and his work and wouldn't hesitate asking for him again.
Finding someone who takes pride in there work is so hard to find these days, it's a pleasure to find someone who is old school.

Our technician was Ken#25 and he came through, assessed the setup of the house and immediately knew what to do and fixed the issue - even when he had to hop on the roof while it rained.  Once he finished putting his tools back in the van, he explained the issue and made recommendations to help avoid it in the future.  He even wrote notes so it could be brought back to the property management company. Awesome technician and we're very grateful for his quick work.

As for the initial call itself, we had phoned Master Plumbing at around 5pm and a technician was setup to arrive within 3 hours.  Got a confirmation call that the technician was on his way and should be at the house in an hour.  Couldn't be more satisfied with the service and to Master Plumbing a big thank you for saving our weekend.

Had a huge issue with a pipe broken that came front the unit upstairs, Jorge 37 came and by next day everything was done perfectly, the job wasn't easy, removing huge iron cast 6 pipes and repairing the mess! This guy is a Pro!

Master Plumbing came to the rescue when we realized our shower, sink and toilets were clogged in the upper floor bathrooms.  I was given a timeframe as to when they would arrive, was called when they were on their way and Jorge did his magic. Had a leak in the apartment, landlord sent over 2 different plumbers who couldn't fix things. Leak persisted. It was like any ordinary day....I woke up one morning and as my son and I were about to head out the door, I hear him yell from the living room Uhhh Mom, I think we have a problem here. The floor is all wet. In my head I'm thinking, what did this child spill now?!?  So I head over to his direction and as I'm approaching, I hear Drip Drip.  And I'm not talking about Cardi B who came through drippin', I literally mean I hear drops hitting my living room floor. ‍. OMG, my ceiling is leaking.
So fast forward to Master Plumbing coming to the rescue....I immediately receive a call from them after speaking to my Property Manager. They will arrive between 1-5pm. Ok, I can deal with that
Jorge was not only professional and respectful, but he worked fast and took great care in not being disruptive. He asked me exactly what happened and recreated the conditions. He isolated the problem and went to WERK!  
Would I ever contact him directly if I have anymore plumbing issues. DEFINITELY. Well, I'd have to tell my property manager to, but you get the point.  The man worked fast, took the time to protect my furniture and wore shoe protectors  during the repair, and literally cleaned up everything as if he was never there.  He couldn't give me a lot of details regarding the work he performed since he was contacted by my property manager, but he assured me the problem was taken cared of. Thank you Jorge!  You definitely deserved this 5-star review homie!

I was 'forced' to call on Master since our HOA only wants to deal with them in terms of shutting off the water supply in our building, which we needed to do some plumbing work for our unit.

The guy who came was professional and did his job by the book, but the customer service (CS) people/dispatchers were something else! They are patronizing, borderline rude, and haughty to talk to!

I had called them several times to arrange for my appointment and figure out the most cost-effective way of handling our case, and they were not helpful at all! At first I couldn't understand what their four-hour window policy was, so I was trying to figure it out by asking questions, and the girl I was talking to was so rude and infuriating! She kept interrupting me with an annoyed voice and speaking in a patronizing way like she was talking to a slow-witted person. And it was always the same case whenever I called them. My goodness!

At first I thought I might be overreacting, but then I saw a similar review here in Yelp that confirmed my experience.

Also, the CS person gave misleading misinformation (totally off estimate of the job duration) which was not true at all. Please avoid giving any information that you have not verified with your actual plumbers.

Master Plumbing, please do something about your CS people!

Another thing, our job entailed a specific time to start, and they sent their guy 30 minutes ahead of time to 'scout', which was not really necessary since Master Plumbing is already very familiar with the building, and started billing me immediately even if he couldn't do the job yet.

Update 1.9.12: They sent me a refund check! I ended up having to call them again on Christmas Eve, getting a window of 1pm to 5pm, and having the plumber show up around 4:15pm. I'm not sure if the problem was related to the original problem described below, but my toilet was making shuddering noises that made my entire wall vibrate through to the other end of my condo. Well, that guy charged me the $132/hour as well as $45 for parts (he ended up replacing the bobbing thingamjig in the tank). Master Plumbing sent me a rebate check of $44 for a miscalculated invoice. I appreciate the honesty, even if I don't really understand what the refund was for. I think it was probably for the parts.

I came home at 9:00pm to discover a very unpleasant surprise in my bathroom. The toilet had completely overflowed and flooded the entire space. I was kind of at a loss of what to do given the late hour, but I knew that I had to call a plumber. Thanks to Yelp, I found Master Plumber which was located nearby and had a pretty good rating. And they were available 24/7, which the late hour required because there was no way I was going to leave the problem until morning to handle.

I called around 9:15 and was promptly told that a service man was in my area. The dispatcher also told me that he flat rate for labor was $132/hour. At the time I did not know that this was their after hours rate for time and a half. Their usual rate is $88/hour. He told me the name of the plumber coming out to my location was named Chuck and that he would be coming to Cupertino from Sunnyvale. Chuck would call me when he arrived. I was expecting it to take about 20-30 min.

Around 9:50, I called their central number again to see what was taking so long. The dispatcher told me that the assigned plumber had gotten lost, so I provided some further directions. He arrived about 10 minutes later, around 10pm.

Ultimately, it ended up being a late-into-the-evening job, but I appreciated that Chuck kept a good attitude throughout the job. Originally, he only stayed for about 30 minutes to fix what looked like a backed up line, which he said did not originate from my toilet, but then when it got clogged again, he returned my 11:10pm phone call and came back to take another look. All together, he charged 2 hours of service for a total of $264, but considering the back and forth driving, the late hour, and the ambiguity of the problem to be solved, I was happy with the price. I would recommend Master Plumbing to anyone who has plumbing issues that they want to get taken care of quickly.

i am asking all of you out there stay out from this guys they are noting but lies and and they don't show on time and i tell the reason why!!
i been using them once and the wile and every time i used them  all ways problem. this week i call them for pipe got clocked on monday and booked for next day from 10 am to 1pm so check this out wait wait wait nothing phone ring at 2:00 we are so sorry our technician is ruining little bit late he will be there in half hour so and also that fail 3 o clock nothing, i have to call someone else in half hour the problem is resolved with flying colors. so what it get more interesting is there master technician shows up at 4 pm and i am watching from ccv cameras he stays in the vehicle for about 20 min or so then he get off i went to speak to him toll you are late very very late !!!
the all point of this is the after 4 pm they have different rate much higher that's where they suck blood out of you. i know the there plan very well.
you lost my time and money !!!

I called Master Plumbing to inspect a leak around our toilet. Technician, Khymn arrived within an hour and found both the water line and toilet tank was leaking. Options were to repair the toilet or install a brand new toilet. I went with the new toilet option because the it was 20 plus years old.
Khymn disposed the old toilet for us and installed a new one. She replaced the water shut off and water line. She even cleaned the area for us.

Called them yesterday. Told me that it would be $160 per hour and setting the appt between 2pm to 6pm the next day. I just gave them a call to check when they were coming to get a better approximate time and found out that the price has changed to $240 an hour after 4:30 and we were scheduled pass 4:30pm. Doing business has to be the RIGHT WAY!!! If they told me in the beginning, I would have scheduled a time before 4:30pm.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. COULD GET YOU SUED BY LANDLORD. THEY DID ME.

I was renting a condo and the malfunctioning toilet flooded. The HOA called out Master Plumbing. Ken came out to fix it. He was grumpy and when I was asking him questions about the toilet (since I hadn't been home for 4 days) he snapped and said, I did my job and I'm leaving.

The long story short, is that he missed the real problem with the toilet, that the flapper in the toilet wasn't functioning properly. After spending countless hours talking with other plumbers I've confirmed this was the issue.

I tried to call and email Master Plumbing and the Owner and General Manager, Bart Adams, (the only person able to assist me) who refused to return any of my calls. I simply asked for a five minute conversation.

Instead, I'm being taken to small claims court now by my landlord claiming I'm to blame for the toilet.

It would have taken 2 minutes of Mr. Adams time. Horrible customer service has put me in a serious bind.

Master Plumbing picked up where Rooter Hero left off; after being told our drain couldn't be cleared, taking a day off work to play phone tag with my property owner and HOA, and going three days without a working shower. Spoke with dispatch at 2:45 that someone could arrive between 3-7. With dinner reservations at 7, I reluctantly accepted the arrival window. I am very glad I did!

Dispatch informed us at 4:05 that a technician was leaving from Foster City. At 4:30, he arrived and quickly got to work. George was able to clear the shower AND clean the scummy tub before 5! Thanks to his excellent work, I'm able to keep my dinner plans (and shower)! Thank you, George!

I had originally given 5 stars mostly because the plumber who came onsite told me that he would get a free tool from his boss if I did... which I thought was nice.

I now have to update my review due to some really bad customer service from the front office, and I don't think this was just a unique experience.

I called Master because they are contracted with my HOA.  During the call in which I was trying to schedule my appointment, the woman on the phone said:

We schedule in four hour windows.  It's possible we may not come until the end of your window, and since your job is a big one, you better be prepared to take the whole day off of work.

My problem was not urgent, so I asked if I could just schedule an appointment for which I would be the first stop.   Nope.

Then she said We will call you before we come.  If you don't answer the phone, we will go on to the next appointment and you will have to reschedule.

I asked if I could call that morning and find out where I am on the schedule?  Nope.

So... I made the appointment, then called my HOA and asked if I could get another plumber.  

Of course!  We cannot require you to use a certain plumber.

So, I called Dittmann Plumbing in San Mateo.  Maria there said oh, your job is a big one.  We will schedule you as first stop so it can be completed fast and you can get to work!   So, I scheduled Dittmann and cancelled Master.

Then, a woman from Master called and she said I see you cancelled your appointment.

I expected her to ask why I cancelled.   I was wrong.  

Instead, she lied... Your HOA requires you to only use us and no other plumber!  

By then, I had spent half my morning scheduling a plumbing appointment and I lost my marbles... That's not true -- I called them and asked! Don't you even want to know why I cancelled with you?

She didn't.

I wonder if that tiny amount of power that comes from being a scheduling person for a plumbing company was too much for them?   In this day of cell phones and busy people who don't sit around their houses all day, Master Plumbing absolutely refused to make anything convenient on me, their customer.   Apparently they thought they had me cornered and I was forced to do whatever it took to be convenient for them.... wrong!!

Dittmann came in the morning, did the job quickly, cleanly and professionally, and I got to work a few hours late.   Thank you DIttmann... no thanks to Master.

This is first time I am writing a bad review ever in my life. The plumber worked for 1 hour 10 minutes, went back to the car and spent 20 minutes to prepare the invoice, and you can image they charged for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Which is totally 160+80= $240. When I called the office, the answer is yes, the time on writing an invoice is also being included, this is how it works, she even said I am on the 3rd floor, the time from the lobby to the apartment is long. What kind of invoice you think takes 20 minutes to finish? The funny thing is while the contractor was 'preparing the invoice', I went downstairs and obviously the plumber was playing his phone and waiting for the time passed. So be cautious how you will be cheated!!!!!

We recently purchased a house with a leak in the sewer line. Master plumbing was really professional and responsive in helping us out. They initially estimated the work would take 2 days because of the placement of the piping. But when the time came, they were able to finish in one day without compromising quality! They even noticed a leak in one of our toilets while in the crawl space and fixed that for us too! Would definitely recommend them!

Master Plumbing was upfront about being backed up in scheduling, but eventually managed to squeeze me in for next-day service.  Caesar and Jorge, who were sent out, worked professionally and efficiently while finished the job within the minimum 1-hour labor charge. Mention the online discount from their website!  However, parts prices seemed inflated, but I suppose that is somewhat expected.

The shutoff valve to my wash machine was leaking, and I called Master Plumbing on Thursday night for a possible next day appointment.  The operator said they were all booked up until late the following week, but would have someone call me the next morning to follow up.  Friday morning, they said they could get me in on Tuesday (Monday was Labor Day). Hours later, they call me that they could fit me in that day due to a recent cancelation.

Caesar and Jorge replaced the hot and cold valves--only one was leaking but they recommended to replace both as they were 15 years old and I was paying for their visit already anyways.  They also recommended changing the hoses, which I agreed given their age, though the markup price on them seemed quite high compared to what I was charged for the valves.  Saved me a trip to the hardware store, if nothing else.

OK service provided by the plumber himself but not the customer services. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL IN TERMS OF HANDLING CLIENT INQUIRES. My HOA filed a work order at 11am, called them at 1pm and the CS lady said just received work order 5 minutes ago. Whatever. Water kept pouring in my bathroom and I desperately waited till 4pm to see the plumber coming finally. Had some issues and need the plumber return again (he just left) and never came back although CS lady said he would. Later I called the CS lady and asked her if a written report regarding the cause of water leakage will be sent to my HOA soon. All she said is I don't know. Okay fine. I asked her how long will it take to receive a written report. She said I don't know, perhaps next week. Okay fine. I asked her one final question, Okay should I ask someone else? She said just talk to your HOA. All her replies were in a cold unfriendly tone.

In short, I would NOT recommend them.

At first, I was a bit unhappy. It was Saturday afternoon and a younger man came over and said he'd need to wait until Monday to get the part for our water heater repair.  I never heard anything on Monday so I reached out to my property management and they got on it.  Master Plumbing sent out Jorge.  He was prompt, courteous and kind.  He left to get a part and came right back, installed it and stayed to confirm that the job was done and done right.   I say, to make sure you get great service and a very nice person, just ask for Jorge.   If I need a plumber again, I'll be sure to request him by name.

If i could do 0 stars I would.  I called Master Plumbing on Thursday to ask for a plumber to come out.  I scheduled for the following Tuesday between 12 and 4.  Today is Tuesday.  I called them at 9:30 am to confirm and she very politely said yes, all set, they would be there between 12 and 4.  They called me at 3:42 pm and left me this voice mail:

Hi, this is Juliana from Master Plumbing regarding your appointment today.  Um, it is 3:42, please call us as soon as you get this message at area code 408-945-1000. (that's not even the number i called originally, and i was in a meeting so i didn't recognize the number to answer the phone).  She went on to say if we don't here from you within the next 5 minutes will will have to divert our technician to another job.  So, needless to say - they diverted the technician.  I was LIVID!!  And their customer service was so pompous!  Saying I apologize for the inconvenience, but that is our policy.  SERIOUSLY???  These are supposed to be courtesy calls.  I already confirmed with them in the morning.  I would NEVER use this company again.  I have no idea about the actually plumber as obviously, I couldn't even get one dispatched properly.  Really, really poor customer service.  They offered to have someone come out the following day between 3 and 7, so they could potentiality waste 4 more hours of my time.  NO THANK YOU!  I'd stay clear if i were you.

Have used this company twice now for 2 different plumbing jobs.  The 1st was a leaking kitchen sink. After the prompt response and great job quickly installing a new garbage disposal,  I knew when we needed to replace both of our bathroom coroded faucets (who knew?) with new fixtures they were the ones to call.  
Khym was polite & fast at the first job in the kitchen.   We asked her to check out the shape of our faucets in the bathroom. We even had an expensive replacement part.  She said we can do replace that part...but then something else will end up leaking.  It's better to just replace them.
I ordered 3 different faucets from Home Depot (narrowed down to a Kohler & Moen). For this job, George arrives.  We show him the 2 choices & he said they had less trouble with the Moens. He  immediately installed the two faucets and showed us what to do etc if there's problems with the pop-up drain.
A friend gave me the name of another plumber she said was inexpensive & very good,  but I never will use another company again after the professional and excellent Service we got from these truly Master Plumbers.  A definite 5 Star business!!!

Every 6 months we have to get the tree roots trimmed in our front yard, or we have a back up problem.
It's an inconvenience, but know that we know what to do before it's an emergency, it's not nearly as terrible.

We've had this company out a few times to do it, and are satisfied with the customer service, and the work they do.
They give you a window of time they'll be out, and are supposed to call when they're on their way, but the last time i ended up calling their office to get an ETA.

They get the job done pretty quickly and are pleasant to deal with.

I'll be scheduling them to come out in another 6 months...

Early this morning, as I ran the garbage disposal in kitchen, the drain started backing up in both sinks.  Just at the sight of it, I had to fight the urge to vomit. The concoction now lingering in my sink was brown and smelled like a combination of death and rotten food.  Not pretty.

So, after I got over the shock, I called the property management company and they sent over Master Plumbing.  The plumber was at my apartment within 2 hours, he was efficient and helpful.   When done with the sink, I had him quickly look at the bathroom sinks and shower and got some quick tips about how to make everything work just a little better.

Why 4 stars and not 5, you ask?  Well, although they did good work the bill is not coming to me... so I can't advise if they are a good value, but I can vouch for their quality: I can now be in my kitchen without retching.  That's quite an accomplishment - thanks, Master Plumbing!

This company has been horrible to work with.  I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.  They have invoiced me for services when they shouldn't have.  I have called them twice to fix their error and they don't seem to care or even want to do what's right.  I feel taken advantage of and think there is something up as I am looking at my invoices and they don't make any sense.  They should be ashamed of how they conduct business.  From my experience to date with them it seems like they are in the business of ripping people off.

Called in and spoke to a plumber the other day... with the full intention of scheduling a time to come out and take a look at a problem.

The very nice plumber walked me through the problem, explained to me the different options, and came up with a plan of action, that didn't immediately require their services.

So... not a paying customer at this time, but when the time comes, I'll be more than happy to give them some business.

Master Plumbing came highly recommended from the property management staff at my office, who use them exclusively for plumbing issues.  

so when i had plumbing problems at my apartment i obviously called Master.  

won't go into specifics about the issue...but i can tell you it had to do with my toilet.  and was *not* pretty.

and it was getting worse every minute.  Master had a tech out in less than an hour and called to update me several times and let me know what was going on in the process.

the tech that came out, M, was courteous, helpful and professional.  he went above and beyond the call of duty...he snaked the line, explained to me what happened (turned out the apartment owners bought literally the cheapest toilet possible), and then proceeded to clean up the area, bleach the floors, wipe down everything, throw away all of the trash and left everything cleaner than it was before the overflow.  

imo definitely worth the cost.

note: i have worked with them a few times before on jobs for work and have had nothing but positive experiences with the owner B and the office staff...courteous, responsive, knowledgeable and professional.  

its a dirty job, but somebody has to do it--and master does it very very well.

Chuck just finished my high-end faucet repair and his repair was also high-end!  I am very happy with the work.  He replaced a shut-off valve in record time and very deftly replaced a cartridge on the pain-in-the-a-- Blanco faucet.  I highly recommend Master Plumbing.  I will be calling them back if I ever need a plumbing job.

Master Plumbing is great. This was the second time they've come out to the house and both times have been very positive experiences. Earlier today I had water draining underneath my kitchen cabinets and onto my dining room and living room hardwood floors. Eek!

Turns out that our water cooler people (not M.P.) did not reconnect the water line to the filter earlier in the day and the disconnected water line was draining water behind and underneath our cabinets where it wasn't easily visible.

It was an easy fix, but I am so thankful for Master Plumbing's speed, politeness and professionalism.

Called Master Plumbing at 10am, and they were here by 1pm. A very professional woman (Marie) answered my call and scheduled my 4 hour time slot of when the plumber would come.  She also called me to alert me when he was on his way.  

Jim was very professional and friendly.  He worked quickly and explained what he was doing along the way.  He also helped me with another minor problem that I hadn't called about originally...took him an extra 5 minutes.  

Master Plumbing charged $88/hour and in increments of 15 minutes if an hour is exceeded.  They were friendly and incredibly professional, and I would definitely use them again.

They are price gougers!

I had them work on my water heater - came in and did the work. Two weeks later the same issue re-occurred on a Friday evening. When I called them, they said that they would charge me again - for their night & weekend rate - minimum $176!!! Since the alternative was to go without hot water for the whole weekend, I gave up and paid, but will NEVER use them again. Charging a repeat customer who has already spent 100's of dollars with you for the same service twice in a couple of weeks is just BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. For the record, it took them 20 minutes to fix the problem the second time...

Jorge and Sergio they were fantastic. Super clean and concerns.very professional.i always had to do major cleaning after but this time nothing was left behind for me.
I was a little disappointed of people answering the phone ,kind of rude but the plumbers were FANTASTIC.

My wife will be the first person to tell you I'm not very handy around the house. Hey, I'm a business coach! Maybe I should coach a plumber and ask them to teach me a thing or two while I help them grow their business.

Anyway, back to reality. One of the vanity sinks in my home was draining very slowly these past few weeks and we needed to take care of it. I called my new friends at Master Plumbing to help. They'd already sent Mark out last October to take care of the same problem, which he did with a smile and a great attitude. Let's put it this way, I was happy to pay him when he was done.

So, when I called the other day I asked for Mark. He wasn't available. Hmm, should I risk it with another guy? Could he possibly be as friendly as Mark? I looked at my sink, looked back at the phone and said, Sure, I'll take another person.

Bill came over during the appointed time and was every bit as friendly as Mark. He put the baggies over his shoes without a second thought. Other tradesman have walked right in with their shoes on my light carpets and made me wince. Kudos to Bill for this thoughtful gesture.

He assessed the problem and went right to work. Within 20 minutes he was done. Yes, maybe I can learn how to do this for myself next time, but you know what? Master Plumbing is so good I might just leave it to them anyway. Nothing will go wrong this way.

What's equally important to fair in my mind is friendly. Fair and friendly is a great combination! You should leverage that more. You may even want to feature pictures and bios of your people on our site. They're the stars of your business.

Next, I'd recommend that you say you serve South San Francisco since that's where my plumber was prior to my job. Don't leave out a city if you serve it.

Lastly, create an incentive program for happy customers like me to refer you to others. Say if I refer you to a neighbor I can get an extra 15 minutes of labor with one hour paid at no charge. Makes me want to refer and use you again.

Very professional and clean.  This company is the best.  They make the industry look good.  Our sewer line was clogged by TP collecting on tree roots.  We had this problem a few years ago and we paid much more for the cleaning/clearing service.  
The plumber that came to our home, Chuck is professional and very nice.  He was knowledgeable and efficient,  and he made sure that the problem was solved before he left.  I wish more service people were like him.

Called this morning as the kitchen drain was plugged.  I was given an appointment from between 11am - 3pm with a 1/2 hr warning. About 12:30pm I got the call.  Scottie showed up in an orange van. Turned out the sewer line needed to be snaked. Took a little longer than either one of us thought  but problem was solved. There is a 30 day warranty. Scottie is a very disarming and affable individual enjoyed talking to  him and felt very comfortable around him.

Jorge was great! We had to have our shower valve replaced in our apartment bathroom and he was on time, polite and helpful. He helped me get everything out of our bathroom to protect it from the mess and cleaned the whole bathroom up after installation. He showed us how to work the new one and made sure we were good!

The first plumber who came couldn't fix my shower, which was draining slowly. After snaking twice and looking for a ground-level clean-out (there isn't one) and going up on the roof, he recommended opening up the wall to create an access point. This would cost $675 in addition to what I was already paying for the service call. I decided to get a second opinion.

Enter Ken (#25) of Master Plumbing. He also snaked twice, looked for a ground-level clean-out, and investigated the vents on the roof. He did agree with the previous plumber that opening up the wall was an appropriate diagnosis BUT instead of giving up on the snaking, he tried again. Perhaps third time's the charm, but lo and behold, HE DID IT. He got out the most enormous, most matted hairball that I've ever seen. I don't think it's just luck though. I think he was persistent. Combined with knowing how to handle the snake, he got the job done.

Discovered a clogged up pipe in the front of the house. Called around until I got a hold of Master Plumbing. This was an after hours call, Stephen showed up and went right to work. In under an hour the pipe was unclogged and the whole area cleaned up. Service was fast, courteous and professional! I will definitely be using Master Plumbing again!

I've used them twice now for drain cleanouts (main and kitchen branch) in a rental unit, and they always do a great job.  On time, clean, fast (taking into account known problems with the plumbing), and the price was right.  Seriously- they were ~1/6 the price of what one of the local, family-run plumbing/electrical places wanted to charge.  I just about choked on the other quote!

Jorge stopped by today and fixed the bathtub leaks, two water faucets leaks, and replaced the bathroom sink fixtures. He even did all clean-ups. His work was very professional and efficient.

I've used Master Plumbing for 2 different jobs and both times I've had the same bad experience. When a plumber eventually does turn up, he does a good job, perhaps worthy of 5 stars. (Jorge was great.) I give Master Plumbing no stars tho w/ their scheduling system. My experience was very poor and frustrating. The scheduler gives you a 4-hr window in which the plumber is supposed to arrive. (I feel sorry for those with full-time, inflexible jobs who have to deal with this.) In my case, both times the plumber did not arrive in that window. In the first job (10am to 2pm arrival), they still hadn't arrived at 3:30 and so when I called a 3rd time to find out the technician's eta they cancelled and rebooked me 5 days later the following week(!) (My whole day was lost waiting for this plumber.) In the second case, my appointment was to start between 12noon - 4pm. At 4:30, I called to find out the eta and was told my technician was still 2-3 hours out(!) Then the scheduler tried to encourage me to rebook for another time. I'd been down this rodeo before so I knew I had to get a first appointment of the day in order to be sure a plumber would show. Naturally, they couldn't give me the next morning; I'd have to wait 3 days to get that first appointment. Here's where their system adds insult to injury...Their over time starts at 4:30pm. The scheduler generously said she'd give me 1 regular hour (@$132/hr) before overtime would kick in if I wanted to keep my original afternoon appointment. But my appointment was to begin earlier in the day, as early as noon. What if the plumber actually showed up at noon? I could have had 4  1/2 hrs of his time at the bargain regular rate of $132/hr! Why would I (the customer) be impacted so negatively on labor charges b/c the plumber is running late? I think Master Plumbing needs to rethink it's scheduling and customer service policies to earn good reviews. If you can, I suggest trying another company.

Thanks to Jach H's recommendation, I called Master Plumbing when my guest bathroom's toilet needed to be fixed.

Just like all the reviews here, making the appointment was easy and they call when they were on their way over.  Everything was taken care of and fixed in less than 15 mins! They are definitely good at what they do!

Yes they have a minimum fee of 1 hour at $88, which is a little high for my 12 mins work, but it's ok since the job got done and they had to drive to North San Jose from Mtn View. Think of it as a cab fee. :)

This is really closer to 4.5 than a 5.

I've used them twice - once at my old place when the building repair people were ineffective at keeping the drains from clogging, and once at my new place to check out a malfunctioning dishwasher. The office staff has been exceptionally responsive, polite, and friendly. I initially decided on them because they answered the phone right away.

Ken and Steve have shown up on time, given accurate estimates of how long the work would take, and been happy to explain the troubleshooting process. I appreciate Ken's patience in answering all my plumbing questions fully and clearly, without once making me feel bad for asking such basic questions (I am not mechanically inclined).

The reason I'd rate my review a 4.5 instead of a 5 is that when I called over the weekend, I was told over the phone that they'd fix dishwashers, but they don't. They fix plumbing *related to* dishwashers and they install dishwashers, but they don't do actual dishwasher repairing. I would have preferred for the office person I initially talked to have made that super-clear before booking the appointment. They also couldn't give me a recommendation for an appliance repair person.

While expensive at $88 an hour (1 hour minimum), they demonstrated solid troubleshooting skills and take pride in their work. Ken, in particular, was a total rockstar with drains. I would be happy to work with them again.

My mom & I have used Master Plumbers 3 times in past 2 months. Jimmy44 successfully diagnosed and repaired a leaky pipe in a wall of my mom's condo. The problem had stumped 2 previous plumbers and two contractors. Mark came twice to address additional leaks in mom's kitchen, and do plumbing maintenance.

Both Jimmy and. Mark were professional and courteous. They were careful to always wear shoe covers in the home and clean up after their repairs. The booking/communication process was smooth and the plumber always showed up when scheduled. Aside from the plumbing problems that brought them, our experiences with Master Plumbers were entirely positive.

Jorge arrived at my place on Labor Day Weekend to fix a leaky kitchen faucet.  Jorge was courteous, professional and knowledgable!  After inspecting the leak and discovering the root cause of the problem, he was able to fix it.  Jorge did an awesome job installing a new kitchen faucet and he flushed out the new lines!

Was notified by a housemate that our kitchen started to cause stuck and flooding after washing dishes. It appears that dumping a whole cup of pasta salad down the sink drain was a good idea for her! (seriously, who does that when the garbage disposal is right next to the sink???) Contacted master plumbing around 6:30pm asking for an urgent support. Was informed 2 hours wait but Big Ken showed up at my door by 7:15pm to work on it right away. Took 2.5 hours to resolve it but Big Ken has been professional throughout the whole thing and kept his cool to work on it due diligently to fix my issue. I offered him to take a break, grab some food and drink to rest but he insists on finishing his job before he did anything else. Happy that master plumbing provided me an excellent support on the last minute notice as well as the worker was very professional throughout the whole time while struggling to get it fixed.

My shower was draining slowly so I went online and found master plumbing. I called on a Wednesday afternoon and the nice lady on the other end of the line told me that she can send someone over between 6 to 8 PM. But it was getting dark so I told her to send someone over the next day. No problem.

Bill showed up the next day and he worked quickly to snake out the drains. Fast, professional and friendly. A solid 4 stars.

Jorge came in to unclog a pipe but also pointed out that the wrong pipe pieces previously installed would cause future leaking! Lucky for us, he had the correct parts on hand and was able to replace the cheap plastic ones that were in place when we bought the unit. THANKS for the quick work and additional fix!

Jorge 37 did a excellent job fixing a leaky sink and faucet at my home yesterday. I have used Master Plumbing for years for my home and a building I own. They are best. I would recommend that whenever you require a plumber call Master Plumbing.

I always get compliments on the thickness and shine of my hair, but no one (besides Master Plumbing and my family and now yelp) know the amount of money and effort spent to keep the tub drain flowing.

I lose hair like no one's business and despite the little hair catcher in the tub, I still had to use drano every couple of months.  The drano stopped working...who would have thought that my hair could overcome the professional strength drano. *sigh*

I called Master Plumbing and they were able to snake the drain on the same day in a matter of minutes.  Although the hair battle rages on, Master Plumbing has made shower time much better for my whole family.  I get the drain snaked about two times per year now, which is much cheaper than the multiple bottles of drano I was using.

I got a new apartment in Santa Clara recently but, unfortunately, the toilet was far from new. It was emitting a high pitched sound from the fill valve where it meets the refill tube unless I messed with the float and turned it a degree and the the tank lever would stay elevated causing it to run constantly unless I pushed the handle all the way back up because the internal part of the handle wouldn't go all the way down. I put in a maintenance request after the holidays on Sunday night and didn't know what to expect as in the past landlords have been a mixed bag when it comes to repairs. You'd half expect an unlicensed contractor armed with a roll of duct tape from some of them.

I got a call the morning after I put in my work order between 8-8:30 am from Master Plumbing, I believe her name was Julie, and I scheduled a time for when I'd be home this past Friday. I scheduled it for 8:30 am. If you ever dealt with Comcast or AT&T  you know to add anywhere from 15 minutes to 5 hours to the appointment time.

Friday rolls around, I'm up early to wait and setup my work laptop then to my surprise Jorge showed up around 8:30 am. Might have even been early according to my clock. He introduced himself and we shook hands, he put shoe covers on before coming in and I explained  the issues to him while walking to the bathroom. I left him to inspect it and do the dye test.

The toilet internals were in pretty bad shape and had been through many repairs before so he determined the best option was to pull it. He called to have a new toilet delivered and went around knocking on the doors of all my neighbors to let him know the water would be off for a short time. He then shut off the water, pulled the toilet asking me to open the door but a piece of the the toilet fell off the bottom onto the carpet. I was going to pick it up but he told me not to touch it, it was dirty, he came back for it after setting down the toilet outside and marked it with a napkin saying he'd come back to clean it and don't move the napkin. Makes sense, who knows what bacteria it had on it.

He also had to deal with my upset neighbor's cousin who didn't respond to the knocks and kept saying he had to take a shower before he went to work. It was 9 something in the morning at this time. He still dealt with him in a calm and respectful manner and let him know it'd be about 20-30 minutes. He explained to me that the new toilet would be elongated instead of like the round one I had which I was fine with as long as property management approved.

After his colleague delivered a new toilet he unboxed it, cleaned up all the packaging and sent them to get a toilet seat that fit it while he installed it. He disinfected and scrubbed the area of carpet where a piece had fallen. His colleague brought the toilet seat and installed it and I had a new, better looking toilet with a very short but effective flush and using way less water.

All in all I think it took probably took two hours. It was done before lunch time. It was a pleasant surprise and gave me more confidence that I made a good decision to rent this place. I'll probably need them again soon as the old shower seems to have started slowly dripping but at least I'll know what to expect.

My husband and I had a leaky shower faucet for a couple of months.  My husband tried to tighten it so that the leak would stop, but instead got quite the shower as the pipe had burst! Jorge from Master plumbing came by to fix our problem.  He was on time, very kind, and extremely efficient! I would recommend him to everyone! Five stars for sure!

Had a hot water leak in our shower. My HOA recommended to use Master Plumbing. Called them and got an appointment. The morning of the dispatcher called when Jimmy was on his way. That's great service. Jimmy was pleasant, knowledgeable and super helpful. He got the job done in an hour & he didn't even have to shut off the water to the building. He not only fixed the hot water but also checked the cold water. Definitely recommend using this company.

I live in an upstairs condo, and I recently remodeled my bathrooms which involved, among other things, the replacement of a tub.  Unfortunately, my contractor did not properly tighten the new tub to the waste and overflow line.  So yesterday when I turned on the water in the tub for the first time, a lot of that water ended up in my neighbor's bathroom ceiling, and eventually on their bathroom floor.  Of course, neither my neighbor nor I knew at first what was going on.  We contacted our home owners association to see what they could do, and they told us to call Master Plumbing and Sewer.  Good thing we did.  

The plumber Master Plumbing & Sewer sent was Dean (a military veteran as it turns out).  Dean is a complete pleasure to deal with, and someone who clearly knew what he was doing.  In order to troubleshoot the problem, Dean did have to open up a few holes on my neighbor's bathroom ceiling as well as a hole on the wall next to my bathroom.  But notwithstanding all that demolition, Dean took care to confine all the debris and mess stemming from the wall work to a big drop cloth that he had brought along.  Then, afterwards, he folded up that drop cloth carefully with all the plaster and dry wall bits now wrapped inside, thus leaving the areas he had worked in as clean and tidy as when he first started.  Dean also, without being asked, put on cloth shoe covers when he was inside my condo and my neighbor's.

The leak naturally stopped after Dean had correctly tightened the tub to the waste and overflow line. Then, as part of his quality assurance, Dean filled the tub with water to make sure everything was now draining properly.  Throughout, Dean was very patient in explaining to me the whys and wherefores to what he was doing.  

I am thoroughly impressed by Dean.  He is truly a credit to both his company and his profession.  Dean is without a doubt the one silver lining to this whole water leak episode: we have now found a plumber whom we can unreservedly trust.  Thank you again, Dean!

I had a kitchen faucet that had very poor water pressure on the hot side only and also a tub that drained very slowly.  Ken arrived within the promised window of time and was able to fix both problems in just over an hour. He was professional, explained what the problems were and was a pretty cool guy too. He wore boot covers and cleaned up the areas after the jobs were done.  The price was fair too.  I would totally call these guys again.

Recently had a clog that was getting worse by the minute.  The plumber came down one night in the rain and traffic to fix our problem.  Jorge did a great job and really had a fight with this stoppage.  Did a great job and cleaned the tub, tiles, and wall nicely.  No mess left behind.  Jorge was very professional and very nice.

What great people!  I had Master Plumbing replace my Orangeburg (tar paper sewer line) and the water main to the house.  Done on-time, on-budget, with terrific clean up afterwords.  We found Armando and Adrian of Master Plumbing to be polite, friendly and quite clear about what needed to be done.  I would highly recommend this local (Sunnyvale) company.  Did I mention their bid was less than half that of a national chain I had quote the job?

This is fortunately one plumbing shop open on Sundays, for fixing a tub/shower faucet stuck wide open. I couldn't get the internet discount on a Sunday, but at least the service was upfront, friendly, and efficient, completed in under an hour with the right tools and parts-- thanks George (Jorge) ! Great first-time experience using Master Plumbing.

Had an emergency and made an appointment for the next day cause they couldn't help me that day of. So the next day of the appointment the company said they would come out between 12 and 4 pm.  They called couldn't get a hold of me and sent their technician somewhere else. I called them back within 30 minutes and they said sorry they already sent their technician elsewhere.  It was only 2:30 pm and the first thing the operator said by the way if the technician has to work after 6pm they would have to charge $220 per hour.  Instead she could have said i will try and get someone there as soon as possible but if it happens to be after 6 we would need to charge $220.  It sounded like all they wanted to do was make sure they got paid when they haven't even been to seen the job yet.  I said forget it.  Never will I call this place again.  I then called on time plumbing at 2:30 cause we needed to get our sump pump fixed and told him it was an emergency he came out in 30 minutes and started to work.  Our sump pump was quite complex and when he took it apart found out that there was blockage somewhere.  He stayed up all night at my house to fix the problem as he tried snaking but had to do it for a long time because the blockage wouldn't open and then finally at 4 am in the morning he fixed it.  I am very happy with his work and he was so honest and charged me a very reasonable rate.  1/3 the price that master plumbing was charging me.  

So please use on time plumbing.  Very trustworthy.

I had a great experience with Master Plumbing. Jorge and Alejandro came out to our new apartment to fix a clogged toilet. They were very thorough and put in hard, honest work. It turns out there were several issues with our plumbing system, so they ended up working for many hours - but they busted their asses that whole time! They also occasionally took time to briefly check in with us while they worked and made sure we were aware of what was about to happen (i.e. if they were about to make a lot of noise with a procedure). Overall I'm very satisfied, and very appreciative of these guys' work!

I highly recommend this company for plumbing service. My toilet was needing to be replaced and I was expecting to be charged something outrageous. The service was done by service technician Jorge 37. He arrived at the expected time, he put his booties over his boots before entering my place, he was very polite and explained and showed me where the damage was to the toilet tank and the cost. His work was impeccable and completed within the time he said it would take.

Hopefully I won't need to have any plumbing service again, but if I did I would call this company again. The price is right, service is great and they are fortunate to have a technician like Jorge represent this company!

Our water bill for our toilet had suddenly shot up from 30/month to 200/month last month so we called Master Plumbing to find what the problem was. Ken came in and found our flappers in both our toilets were leaking. He was so polite and fixed the problem very quickly. You could see he definitely knew what he was talking about. We had an almost identical problem as described in the Yelp review by Jessa P on 11/2/2017.  The main water line to our building is copper and it broke. The copper line connects a few feet past where it broke to a PVC water line that goes to the city line. MP had to jackhammer the concrete and excavate about 8 feet down to repair the copper pipe. With overtime and replacing the concrete it cost us about $15,000. 6 months or so later the same line broke where the copper pipe connects to the PVC pipe. Specifically the PVC fitting was cracked where it connects to the copper pipe. Master Plumbing provided no warranty and we paid full price to repair the line and replace the concrete. Total cost was about $9,000 for the 2nd repair because I learned from the first repair to have MP do the work during normal hours at straight time. On balance though Master Plumbing otherwise has been pretty good for clearing blockages and they replaced about a 40 foot section of sewer pipe that was not sloped correctly. So far no problems with that pipe. No plumbing company is perfect, but on balance I think Master Plumbing is pretty good despite our experience with the broken water line where we think they should have at least provided some warranty and maybe offered to split the cost. That would have been fair and decent.

I needed to replace the kitchen faucet and accessories due to low water pressure caused by hard water corrosion.  Ken arrived on the scene (early!) for our appointment.  Put on those crime scene booties to avoid tracking dirt into the house.  Very professional.  He had to problem solve the installation as the holes in granite and wood underneath didn't align properly.  But he figured it all out and got my new fixtures securely in place.  And he didn't seem to mind when I hugged him instead of shaking his hand.   I've worked with this company in the past and have been well taken care of.

They've done three jobs for me; in all cases, the job was done quickly, well, and at a good price.  I can't say that I enjoyed having my sewer back up this weekend, but Master Plumbing came over quickly, solved the trouble (not helped by the fact that I not only didn't know where our sewer access was but that it was covered by ivy and an inch of dirt), and had me out of trouble within an hour of their arrival.

Ken came to fix my garbage disposal and found a leak under the sink. He was very courteous and professional, replaced the disposal and the leaky pipes and did the job quickly. He also made sure to clean up my floor afterward. I can't comment on pricing because my property management company pays them directly (lucky for me!), but if Ken is representative of the quality of Master Plumbing's workers, their standards are high, and I'd happily use them again.

Ken came to my house on Oct 3rd, 2014 as both of my toilets were clogged,  he spent 1 and half hours to solve the problem for me with a long electric snake. He is professional and really saved myt life.

Called Master Plumbing at the recommendation of a friend who is a contractor.  They arrived within about an hour to inspect what could have been a really scary leak (in a hard to get-to place).  As we looked around, Jorge started thinking it might be something else - kid related. As he investigated more and the location of the dripping water more improbable for the drain line, we found the source of the water to be my son's water balloon stash, which had popped and leaked onto his bedroom floor.  . Instead of tearing apart the ceiling of our kitchen, we had a laugh and got the kids back in to clean up the mess.  I was relieved the water wasn't more serious.

Jorge was professional, courteous, and very skilled.  Outstanding.

Having used them for our current water heater installation and their quality work a few years ago, we called a week in advance to get an estimate for major work to be done for a new home purchase (several slow drains, improperly installed garbage disposal, broken RO system, 1 main supply upgrade, several leaky pipes). The normal quick estimate time didn't apply to us because the job was so big, so we waited for Jim to come out this morning.

30 minutes late, we called and asked where Jim was, since we'd already taken the morning off for work. Another job. I won't be there until late this afternoon. We called back and politely asked what the problem was. Our fault, he was doubly scheduled. Can you rebook for tomorrow at the same time and waive your estimate fee? Sure, we've got you down. 20 minutes later, they called back and let us know since it was last minute they wouldn't be able to accommodate that, and instead would give us a 4 hour window some other time this week.

Masters, they are not. Nor are we their customers anymore.

Stay away from these guys for anything major. We need the work done but if we can't rely on them to even schedule an estimate correctly, we're certainly not going to trust them to a big job!

Since writing the above, the faucet set that the first plumber broke, giving rise to all the above issue has begun to revolve and now needs further repair. So even the simple task they first undertook, messed up and then took months to remedy was not done properly.

I gave them 1 star because they did show up on time. Besides that, let me tell you how bad they are.

1. They will try to charge for you driving time. They charge by the hour. So if they are stuck in traffic, they will charge you a lot.

2.  They will try to double, maybe even tripple the price of parts.

3. They will tweak the numbers on the involce to get a final price that they are happy with. They will tweak the price of the parts, charge more hours for labor by driving slower or driving purposely to a farther location etc.

Awful! These guys came out to fix my seriously leaking  shower. They did show up at 9.30 at night. Remember no profesional will be working at that time  unless they are being paid $300 hr. so this so called professional stopped the water by installing a gas fitting and said I have to order the part. That cost $135 before even ordering the part . 4 days later they call me to say the part has arrived and someone will be there the next day between 10 and 2. I had to take the day off work but ok lets just get it fixed so I don't have to worry anymore. So I wait ...and wait....and wait  2 oclock rolls by.. and I wait..and wait 6 pm rolls by Ok i'm not waiting anymore I gotta go. No call to say were running late or the worker flushed himself down the toilet..Nothing! OMG I was so mad to waste an entire day. They finally showed up at 7pm after my wife called and said where the hell are you?
After showing up the part did not fit. so they quote $850 to fix it. then they will re enburse the money we already spent on them plugging the leak with a gas valve. We discovered that they actually made the problem worse by over tighten the handles on the taps. Long story short- Its still not fixed , They charged me money without fixing a thing.

I called to schedule a fix for a leaky faucet.  It's not urgent, so I told them I could wait a few days.  The best they could do was give me a 4 hour window 9am-1pm!  I do not have time to wait 4 hours for a plumber.

I called Pennington Plumbing instead and they were able to give me the first morning appointment so I won't have to wait.  Much more convenient.

We have an older house in Sunnyvale. A couple of weeks ago we started having sewage back ups in our home. I called Master Plumbing to come and take a look at the situation. A very nice man by the name of Jake was at our door to survey the situation. Jake was very knowledgeable and recommended to us that we needed a new clean out to help him with the blockage. Then he suggested to remove the toilet to remove the blockage for us, and we can get an estimate later for the new clean out. Thanks to Jakes quick thinking we were up and running in a couple of hours. Master Plumbing does a capable job.   However, I was mystified as to why  1) the plumber who came yesterday would not snake out a kitchen line from the roof, as his colleague had done several years earlier (at half the time), and 2) why I was charged for two hours time when the work and clean up (including packing the equipment into the truck) was one hour fifty minutes.

Here is what I got from the person who answered the phone: 1)  we only have our plumber go up to the roof one time.  Thereafter, it's from the ground.  When I asked why, she said that it was company policy, that she wasn't the owner.  That's a BS non answer if I ever heard of one.  2)  she said they bill in 10 minute incements.  When I said that the plumber took the last 10 minutes to write the invoice,  she said, yes,.  When I asked if they charged for writing the invoice, she said yes.

Besides that, the plumber broke a favorite vase.

Master's website differentiates itself from the commission-based plumbers.  Since it came out to the same price as those commissioned plumbers charge, I don;t see a difference, oh, except n the attitude of the woman who snootily answered my questions.

I've liked Master's work in the past but in my mind, they are no better than the commissioned plumbers they denigrate.

Irene, even a dog can snake a tub drain and my plumber did it for $80. How much did Master Plumbing & Sewer charge you? I happened to have had the misfortune of using them because the management company of the building I live in recommended them, and oh boy, never again. They did come on time, I've got to give them credit for that, but then, the gentleman they sent me took 2 hours to do a 10-minute job. I swear, he performed the job in front of me in 10 minutes. The problem is that before he could start, he said he needed to shut off the water so he went to his truck (why?) and sat there for 50 minutes doing absolutely nothing. Then he came back and told me he had a hard time shutting off the water, so he left for another 30 minutes. He finally finished the job and guess how much time he charged me for? 2 FULL HOURS. He said the additional 25-minute charge was the time it took him to get to my place, so he charged me for that too! Can you believe that? I swear, this is the whole truth, nothing but the truth and I have the invoice to prove it. Email me and I'll send you a copy.

I want to thank professional plumber Jorge for his excellent plumbing service that he provided for my slowly draining kitchen sink.  I am truly satisfied with every part of the service he provided.

From entering the door, laying down covers to protect the floor, removing items around the work area to prevent damage, conducting the plumbing work thoroughly, checking the work to make sure that it won't cause the same problem in the future, cleaning the mess thoroughly afterwards, he has demonstrated professionalism beyond what other plumbers have exhibited in the past.

After closely examining his work, I am confident that I am now free from the slow drain problem for at least the next 10 years. He cleaned up the pipe real good.

I will definately ask for Jorge if other plumbing problem arise in the future other than the kitchen sink which I know it won't be a problem for a long time.

Bottom line: He's professional, friendly, and dependable.

Look for Jorge, I cannot say anything about other plumbers within the same company cause I never met them.

I had an emergency sewage backup at my house yesterday and an unhappy family who couldn't use water (nor the toilets!) until it was fixed.  Not so pretty.  Upon calling Master Plumbing I got helpful service including how to deal with the challenges at hand, and a reasonable appt. time the same day. Good so far.  

The tech showed up when promised in a cool looking truck full of gear. On his uniform I noticed his name is Jamar.  Understated, polite, informative, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, VERY helpful and patient.  A good overall attitude--nothing outrageous, just solid.  He got the work done in a reasonable amount of time.  I asked for more and he was happy to help. (They charge by the hour which is fair).  As a small business owner I know how important your people are, and how they represent your brand when you're not around.  Well, to the owner of Master Plumbing--nice hire, and I assume nice training and guidance as well!  Jamar is a great asset who improved your brand equity-- yesterday with me, today with Yelp, and in the future with the word of mouth recommendations I'll pass along to my friends.

I'm writing this to put in a good word for the company (*****), but mostly because I appreciate good workers and I'd like Jamar's boss to be aware of how he is contributing positively to the company.  I hope he has opportunity for advancement and growth so you don't lose him, and he might help build the business stronger.

Last week I hoped my intermittently slow to flush toilet problem would go away....but it did not.  Today I called and Jake from Master Plumbing came.  Of course, when he looked at the problem the toilet flushed normally.  However, he listened to my story and did snake the system.  Lo and behold!  Huge plant roots came back.  Jake worked steadily and cleaned up after himself.  The service was excellent.

I've just used Master Plumbing for a number of repairs and remodel jobs in the past couple months -- everything from replacing old waste pipes to installing new tubs, toilets, and sinks, and gas pipes for new heaters and gas ranges.  All the work has been completely quickly and to the highest standards.  They also go above and beyond in looking for potential problems to proactively avoid future issues.  In a few instances this ended up costing me more, but it meant I would not have unexpected emergencies when those things eventually went wrong.  Jorge and Jimmy are both outstanding!

Master Plumbing really helped me out.  I had a horrible experience with another plumber from The Drain Doctor, resulting in water damage to my carpet and sink cabinet.  I was expecting to have to pay them even more to come back  and fix their mess since that's what they told me. Of course they didn't admit it was their shabby work that caused the damage. Then I called Master Plumbing and Ken came out. He looked at the mess the other guy did and explained to me what the real problem was, and fixed it within an hour.  He was courteous, friendly and professional.  If I ever have any other plumbing problem, I will definitely use them, especially Ken!

Had a leak in my shower that was driving me crazy for weeks. So I called Master Plumbing, they sent someone out the very next day. Jorge was his name, he definitely has an art to his craft not only did  he fix my shower, he also straightened out my shower head. It was pointing towards the wall for some reason. I've had bad experiences  with  other plumbing companies so I was worried about the attitude  the person who came might have. It was all for nothing he was extremely helpful and friendly, I obviously recommend this company and if they happen to send Jorge your way then you're  in luck.

Called Master Plumbing at 12 PM. Freddy, one of the managers showed up at 4. Got my clogged main line cleared within 30 min. Then insist on cleaning up the carpet and floor that was lightly soiled by his work. Even after I told him not to worry about it. Freddy then spent the next 15 minutes explained the problem and made a few helpful recommendations.

All these, for half the price of what I've paid for my last similar service. Quality works, good price, great attitude and service. I'm sure I'll use them again next time.

These guys are awesome and reasonably priced. I had an emergency today, with the kitchen sink completely blocked and backing up. I had earlier called another plumber that called me 2 hours later to push the appointed time. Familiar with such tactics, I cancelled them and called Master Plumbing. The lady on the phone was extremely courteous and set an appointment immediately. An hour and half later, Jamar showed up. He was also extremely courteous and very nice. He went up and snaked the sink from the roof vent. The entire procedure took 15-20 minutes. I'm glad he wasn't like your typical hourly handymen that tends to spend more time than they need to so that they can bill for an extra hour.

I would hire these guys in again any day of the week. Awesome service and definitely worth the money. I also have a 30 guarantee on my service.

It's 7:30 am on a Saturday and 3 different fixtures are suddenly clogged. Uh-oh, not a good day. So, how could I possibly have been in a good mood by that afternoon? Charlie at Master Plumbing! He arrived on time, was polite, courteous, and all the things you appreciate in a tradesperson. He quickly troubleshot the problem (it wasn't my main) and fixed it within 45 minutes. As long as he was there (and I still had some time in my requisite first hour), I asked Charlie if he could check my main for roots. After a quick call to his dispatcher, he was on the job. I was actually happy to pay him for not only getting me back to doing laundry and Saturday chores, but also for giving me the peace of mind of knowing my main will be root-free for a while.  Oh, and he was great with my kids.  

The only downside to using Master is they were pretty busy and I had to wait 4 hours before they could have someone at my house. The plumber was on-time for the window they gave me, though.

Master Plumbing was one of the few local plumbing that didn't have any awful reviews located near me. So I called them for a suspected leak in my shower. When it was being used, I could swear I heard a leak in the wall, which made me quite nervous at the prospect of opening the wall to fix it and possible rot developing in there.
The plumber came, took apart the handle on the shower allowing him to clearly see in the wall without destroying anything, and after a thorough inspecting, confirmed that he couldn't find any evidence of a leak there. The shower was draining slowly, he fixed that and said it might have caused what I heard. He gave me the option of opening the wall where I heard it to check, but advised against it since there were no signs of any water damage and I would have to call in a contractor to repair the hole.
The minimum 1 hr rate of $88 was well worth it to set my mind at ease. I gave them four stars because the plumber was quite dirty when he showed up, I understand its the nature of his job, but I've had repairmen show up spotless and for some reason it makes me more confident in them. From the glowing reviews on here, I expected a cleaner plumber.

Stephen and Michael came today to my condo to repair a plumbing leak in my upstairs neighbors tub.  That being said I have a hole in the ceiling of my bathroom because I am downstairs.  Time wise it took exactly what was estimated and Stephen and Michael did a great job and were very professional.  Master Plumbing are the plumbing repair service that my condo association uses but I would not hesitate to recommend them for any plumbing issue residential or commercial.

We had a kitchen ceiling leak at our rental this past week. I had used master plumber of mountain view on previous jobs with great success so naturally called them with an explanation of my present dilemma. I called Master Plumbing (I'm a repeat customer) as the sewer cleanout on our patio started to overflow. They were able to send Jorge in under an hour and a half. The patio cleanout was not as expected due to a remodel add on, but it was to code and Jorge quickly figured out how the plumbing was configured and set about to find the clogged area.  Using 3 sewer clippers. then a 3 head, then the 4 head, he snaked the pipes until all were running clear---even out past our property line. Jorge was efficient, professional, and kept me informed about what he was doing every step of the process. The bill was extremely reasonable. When it comes time to replace the sewer line in our backyard, Master Plumbing will be my first choice.

Another 5 star review for a quality job and professional service; do I really need to say more?

Main drain was clogged, needed to be 'snaked' with a full-size machine.  Gave them a call, person I spoke listened to the symptoms, confirmed the assumed problem, and gave me an estimate of time (for 90% of similar situations) and the hourly rate.  Transferred me to someone who set up the appointment, confirmed rate info, etc.

They called back to confirm the plumber was on his way, and he arrived within the schedule window.  He did a quick in-person confirmation of the symptoms, and started the job.  Ran into some challenges (fault of my plumbing, not his work), and he looked for ways around it... unfortunately, no dice on a work-around, but with persistence he succeeded in clearing it.

All in all, I was pleased with the up-front service by phone in offering a probable diagnosis, an estimate, proper explanation of their simple rate structure (time spent on-site, parts), and scheduling.  The on-site service was equally professional, comprehensive, and efficient.

Short version, the service met or exceeded expectations, the rates were completely reasonable, there was an obvious commitment to quality, and the on-site plumber was unusually 'professional' for someone in the trades, especially one that involves cleaning up other people's ....

These guys rock, plain and simple.  We recently had major water damage due to old and outdated sink fittings.  They responded the same day I called them and completed the repairs quicker (and cheaper) than I expected.  Later in the week I called them in a panic about leaking fittings running into into my washer.  Same prompt service and quality repairs.  They even installed a bathroom faucet for me.  The woman who answered the phone (Amy) was very knowledgable about plumbing.  Great value and great work.

I had kitchen sink block. Ross arrived slightly early. Completely finished the job in 1 hour 15min ($110 = $88 + $22) . Very reasonable. Good work pace.
Just one thing, they do count the time to the minute, but he didn't inform me the exact clock-in time, their clock-out time is when they finished loading everything into the van. In the future, just confirm the clock in time with them when then come. Very knowledgeable plumber. Excellent Job!

Ronnie was great! We were told that someone would come between 10:00 and 2:00, pretty standard, but was pleasantly surprised to have Ronnie show up at 10:15. He got right to work, was personable, and got the job done right. The rates were good and we don't feel as if we were over charged in anyway. We will definitely use Master Plumbing again if needed!

Reasonable rate, got the job done. The guy who came out for me was fine, but could have been better. I'd rate his workmanship and skills as 3 out of 5. They are a big company with around a dozen plumbers, so your experience may vary depending on who you get.

The operator is very professional and courteous. They came on time within a 4-hour window, and called ahead of time. The current rate was $104/hr, with 1 hr min and charged every additional 1/4 hr. I would probably use them again.

Master plumbing came out to figure out where a leak was coming from. The window provided by phone was a 4 hour window which sucked because I had to take off work and wait around. Ken arrived, introduced himself and put on his protective booties. I said he didn't need to as my floors are already dirty and he still put them on. I explained what was happening and he took a look where the leak was coming from. Since the condo I'm in has an upstairs the appointment required both of us to be home. Ken went up stairs and did his investigation. He was going back and forth between both units. He was very professional and friendly. Hopefully we don't have any future issues but if we did hopefully they send Ken because he knows his stuff. He cleaned up his mess (he had to cut some dry wall), and disposed of it. I've had people in the past not clean up and leave their trash behind. Great job Ken!

Came home from work to a mess in my bathroom sink. Sink was clogged, as well as our neighbors next door. The building maintenance guy apparently made the matter worse. Jorge came to the rescue and had the problem fixed for both of us in 20 mins. He even cleaned up the messed from the maintenance guy. Jorge was highly professional and definitely recommend him.

I had a toilet replaced a couple weeks ago. I was so delighted by the gentleman that came to do the work. Vincent was so CLEAN. He put booties on before he entered my home. Anytime he had to step out, he removed them at the door. He then put them back on prior to walking in my home. It was great to see his focus on not walking directly on the flooring. Vincent also cleaned the bathroom floor when he was done with the job. I was very pleased. When I later phoned the company to ask a question... related to my new toilet, they sent someone out to answer any questions. I am delighted to recommend the company and would use them again.

I called Master Plumbing yesterday and an appt. was set for this afternoon.  They called this morning to say they could come even earlier and Ken showed up 15 minutes later.  First he listened to my detailed description of the ongoing problem and then he went to work immediately finding the root of the problem in the line between the house and the main sewer with another smaller blockage in the house line.  More importantly, Ken gave me a lesson in Plumbing 101 and told me who to call before calling in a plumber if the problem should persist, and how to do preventive maintenance going forward.  Master Plumbing is now my go to plumbing company!

We had previously contacted roto router to fix a toilet blockage in our pool house and they charged us $700 and didn't fix it.  Jimmy from Master Plumbing came out and took care of it promptly and the charge was about 1/3 of what roto rooter charged.  Plus it was a rush job as we had a large number of people coming over that same night - we were very pleased and couldn't have been better service!

I am once again so happy that there is a company in silicone valley that has employees that care. That company is Master Plumbers. We had a leak in one of our buildings and needed it taken care of yesterday if you know what I mean they sent Scotty out to take care of us and we couldn't have been more pleased with anyone else. He put on the hazmat suit went under the building (this is after it had been raining for days) gave us all the details of what was going on and even showed us what they were going to have to do. I was concerned that it was going to take a few days but he got it done in a few hours. George came out and had the water heater that had to be moved done in about a half an hour and when the tenant who's apartment they used to get access under the building started getting nasty they handled it professionally. George came by the office after and thanked us and Scotty did not complain about having to crawl on his belly through the mud once. Master Plumbers you have two all stars in George and Scott and should be thankful that they work for you. Thanks again you two for another job well done.

Our main drain plugged up that a flush of the toilet will make water rise in the tub and water backup in showers too. We called Master Plumbing. A technician came within about one hour, and diagnosed the problem quickly and unplugged the drain for a little more than an hour.  He was very knowledgeable and explained the problem and what he's doing step by step. After the drain was unplugged (I could see the water coming down in our shower, tub and all), he made sure the main drain was really unclogged by flushing and checking the pipe connection from our house to the city's drain pipes. He showed me and we listened to the water rushing through from an opening on our pipeline next to the street.  

He charged about one hour and 15 minutes of labor at their standard rate. For an emergency problem with the main drain, not just a sink or toilet, we are very happy with the cost and result. The technician is very honest and courteous, and was not motivated to overcharge by time or selling extra services at all.

This is the third we used Master Plumbing, the prior two times were also satisfactory. We'll use this plumber again.

1.  Called at 1:00, said they would be on-site between 3:00 and 7:00.  Called twenty minutes before 3:00, and arrived at 3:10.  This was the first time a plumber has arrived on time for me.
2.  Accurate and honest estimate.  Said it would take 2 hours, it took 2 hours.
3. There was an opportunity for the plumber to make the job larger than it was.  He gave advice on why we didn't need it.  He didn't take advantage of our ignorance.
4. Charged $50 an hour less then the next best reviewed plumber in the area.
5.  Work was done well, with an obvious mind towards quality.

Called for a non-emergency appointment (a slow drain), they scheduled it for the next day.  The called before showing up to let me know the plumber was on his way.  

Jose showed up; he was very professional; wore foot covering inside the house.  The drain was cleared.

Phenomenal service!

The plumber, Josh, arrived on time, automatically put on booties over his shoes before stepping onto my light colored carpet, gave me an estimate of how long the job would take, worked efficiently, was courteous and professional, and cleaned up after the job.

I was very pleasantly surprised when the job I was quoted would take about 4 to 5 hours ended up requiring only 3.5 hours, and he did a great job too.  I love that they bill with a fixed hourly rate that is posted on their website, makes the billing very fair and transparent.

I called them on Dec 30th at 1:30 a.m., left a message that my kitchen sink was blocked.  I'd been unable to fix it myself with either chemicals or a 25-ft auger snake.  At 8:10 a.m. in the morning a very sympathetic lady called me back, apologized profusely that they wouldn't be able to get somebody to my house till sometime between midday and 4 pm because they were so busy.  

At about 2 pm Jose knocked at our front door.  He was very courteous, and before entering the house he put plastic covers around his shoes (like little shower caps) -- very considerate!

He fixed the blockage in about 30 minutes.  He had to open up a clean-out access place outside our house.  The blockage turned out to be about 30 feet down.  We had bought our son a juice extractor for Christmas, and somehow some pulp from it had clogged the drain.

Jose made sure it was completely fixed, then cleaned up.  His work is guaranteed (no blockage on that drain) for 30 days.

I was very impressed with the friendly courtesy and efficient professionalism.  This is as good as it gets!

I am so impressed with the job that Jorge of Master Plumbing just did for me I feel the need to write a commendation, a first for me on Yelp.  My kitchen sink faucet totally died and was leaking/squirting everywhere, so I called Master Plumbing this morning for help.  Having used them in the past I had in fact recommended Master previously to my HOA Board, and was reassured that had been a good call by today's visit and repair work by Jorge.   He is an outstanding employee - A-Plus in all categories.

First, I was surprised at how fast he appeared at my door after my call.  Don't know if he had to come to San Mateo from Mt. View, but there was no driving time billed.  His professionalism was apparent by the way he assessed the damage and gave me a cost estimate of a new faucet and time to install, and asked for approval to proceed.  I had no hesitation because the estimate seemed quite reasonable (and turned out to be right on).  He worked efficiently and smoothly, obviously knew what he was doing, while at the same time was very courteous and fielded all my questions--very smart fellow, with an excellent work ethic.

Toilet was getting clogged over the weekend, and the plunger was no longer effective this morning.
Browsed Yelp for reviews. First plumber I called had great reviews, but the phone went to voicemail - lost my business.
I called Master Plumber at 9am, and made an appt for afternoon, between 3-7pm.  Receptionist was very friendly and professional.
She called me back at 1pm saying another plumber was available, so I rushed home at 1:30pm to get the job done.
I met Bill at 1:30pm. He came in the door and went straight to work at the toilet.  Turned out to be a small clog - no backup into bathtub or other places.  He used an industrial metal snake, and unclogged it in 5 minutes, then tested it for another 5-8 flushes.  Fixed and out the door in 15 minutes!  Very professional, and he wore booties to keep our carpet and floor clean.
I was still charged for 1-hour minimum of $88, which I guess was OK, but freed up the rest of the afternoon for me.  Included 3-day guarantee.
Very happy customer, and very smooth service and experience.

Using Yelp, I called Master Plumbing. We had an issue with the water pressure in the shower.  I had a 9am-1pm window.   Dean showed up at 9:45.  He put on shoe covers and I showed him the problem.  I left him alone to do his thing.  Every time he left the house, he would always put the shoe covers back on when he came back into the house. The shower now works like it's brand new.  Dean is very professional.  I would use them again

We finally got the toilet, garbage disposal and sink drainage fixed. My dad always said oh, we can do it later. While he was away, I called Master Plumbing. Ha ha! Jose was courteous and quick with the job. Now I can have a peace of mind.

And for people who complain about the 4 hour window, at least it's not 8 hours, like most service people do!

I called Master Plumbing to install a garbage disposal unit. This was not an emergency yet I received an accurate quote by a friendly person on the phone and an installer was at my door in under a hour!
This was after hassling with Sears installation for 5 days! Master Plumbing was accurate, professional and the installer was very courteous. I was so happy I called these folks. You can't imagine the trouble I had with Sears I waited 5 days and no call back or call from an installer as promised. They also took credit card info before the work was even dispatched! I am still waiting for a refund even though they provided no service. Master plumbing was the best call I could have made!

STAY AWAY FROM MASTER PLUMBING AT ALL COSTS!  Among other things, they are a VERY DISHONEST business.

A few of the notable cons (see esp. #3, which relates to their shady way of charging customers extra money):

1. Minimum charge of $88 just for them coming out (expensive, but acceptable)
2. Unless you take the 8:30 a.m. appt., you have to leave open a 4 hour window of time (e.g., 9-1) to wait for them--not super convenient if you work during the week. (annoying, but acceptable)

Why I would ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND MASTER PLUMBING:  They came out to fix my leaky toilet--i told them that I thought it was the fill valve--instead, the guy insisted the problem was a leaky flap and charged me to fix that ($88/hr fee + $12.50 flap).  Not surprisingly, the toilet kept leaking.  I called again, and Master Plumbing told me that they would still charge me for someone to come out and look at it again.  When I pointed out that it was the same problem (that the leaky toilet was never resolved after their first attempt), they said that they'd come out for free, but if it was a different problem, they would still charge me ANOTHER $88 plus cost of any parts needed.  Round two guys came out, decided I was correct--that the problem was the fill valve, not the flap--and insisted this was a different issue than the first time.  When I complained that it was the SAME problem as before (that the first plumber got the solution wrong), they agreed to only charge me $44 + the cost of the new fill valve ($11.20).  What a scam!!  They basically charge people for mistakes that their plumbers make!

Go somewhere else that conducts business in a more ethical and competent manner.

These plumbers are professionals.  Jim and Jake were very helpful  in assessing the water leak. They fixed it without any problems and  were very thorough.  They  even checked out other pipes just to be sure water wasn't leaking from other areas!  Great customer service , helpful, kind, courteous, and happy/smiled.  They both kept me informed as to what they were doing and cleaned up  and were respectful of the property. I recommend this company to anyone with difficult and easy plumbing problems.

Ken met us at our condo in Cupertino to help with a leak that ended up coming from a different unit above us. Ken was extremely good at troubleshooting the situation and careful not to tear out walls that didn't need to be touched in order to find the source of the problem... to us, finding a REAL EXPERIENCED TROUBLESHOOTER who knows what he's doing and gets right to the source of the problem  is worth more than gold! Ken fits the bill!  He is very professional, experienced, energetic (he got a workout on the several flights of stairs), personable, great at answering all our questions and in calming a stressful situation! Master Plumbing did about $3,000 worth work on a bathroom.  The workmen were pleasant but several things had to be redone, some more than once.  There are still a couple of small problems, but I can live with them. One problem is that they used an iron fitting on the tub water pipe that is supposed to be brass and copper, resulting in rusty water at the very beginning of each shower.

I'm in a 1950's house in the Cuesta Park area.  Every year around Nov I need to get a sewer cleanout done (City's ash tree roots).  Needless to say, I've gone through quite a few plumbers since 1986 when I first moved in.  For the first few years, I was able to get a cleanout done for under $100.  Then the extra charges took the tab over $100.  The highest bill was over $250 (never used them again).  Today was the first time I used Master Plumbing based on Yelpers' positive reviews.  MP charges $88/hr for normal working hours.  I informed them when I made the call that they'll need to clean out about 120 feet of line and that it'll require a second bale.  Also, if they had everything needed to do the job, it would be done in less than an hour.  Bottom line:  clog was at 105 feet and it was cleared in under an hour.  Professional, personable, prompt.  What more can you ask for?  I know who I'm calling for next year's cleanout.

I called Master Plumbing to repair an underground gas line.  When Jorge arrived, he did not have the gas sniffer to trace the leak even though he knew it was a gas leak he came to fix.  He proceeded to to tell me that it would likely be a waste of money to try and find the leak as it looked like the line would have to be replaced anyway.  I had him give me a quote for the replacement which he had the home office do.  He then proceeded to attempt to find a simple leak at either end of the line as I had to pay him for the full hour for the visit anyway.  Well, the quote came back at nearly $7k to run a line 70'!  I told him that that was clearly a ridiculous price and that he should come to the front door when he was done so that I could pay him.  He then proceeded to charge me for 1.5 hours of labor even though it was clear he was simply going to use the time I already had to pay him for effectively.  This was simply not acceptable.  I ended up paying $174 for the pleasure and am no closer to anything being fixed!

Called Master Plumbing around 11am for a backup in our sewer line at our church in Redwood City. After speaking with office admin we scheduled an appt. for the afternoon. Surprisingly, they showed up on time and ready to handle the job. Jake (31) was who they sent out to help me with our issue. He was very pleasant to work with and took care of our sewer backup in no time at all with a mechanical snake. Jake really knew what he was doing and did his job with enthusiasm and skill in a very efficient manner. I was surprised when he actually took some towels and cleaned the floor and tile walls where he was working in one of the bathrooms before leaving the property. Jake was a great guy to work with and will definitely request his expertise in the future when it comes to our plumbing issues here at the church. The best part was the bill. Very reasonable and well worth the call. Would definitely use and recommend Master Plumbing for any backups you may have. Seem like a very honest group of folks.

Had a leak at the water meter. The dispatcher was friendly and professional. The dispatcher called me again a few minutes before the plumber arrived to tell me that he was on  his way. Isaac worked quickly. Got the job that would have taken me 3+ hours in less than an hour. Great service and their hourly rate is 30% less than some of the other plumbers I called.  Ask for Isaac!

I've had lots of bad experiences over many years with sewer services that often seem to have in common the words rescue and/or  rooter in their names. A company with discount and rooter in its name was particularly nightmarish. Typically, they show up and most of the discussion is not about my problem - they want to focus on telling me how incompetent the other companies are/what terrible equipment is used/what rip-offs they are - and proceed to do just the same.    Or else, they are just breath-takingly expensive.  Master Plumbing was just a wonderful experience:  Fast, reasonably priced, willing to work with the City, willing to show and tell us what they saw as they went. Nothing was hidden from view.  I will never call anyone else again.  Big thanks to Jim who I would have married today if I had not been so busy......

We discovered a serious leak in one of our bedroom closets. Serviceman, Jorge #37 came out to assess and repair the leak. He was very professional. As home owners of course we were curious and wanted to know if this was going to be covered under our warranty etc...he politely explained that he can not discuss that with us and we understood. In any case, we were very pleased with his service and professionalism.

We had a plugged up kitchen drain and my attempts to snake it failed. -- I talked to them first thing in the morning they put me on the list and said they would call when they are one their way.  Ross showed up just a few minutes later.  He was happy to have me tag along with him as he troubleshot the problem.  He pulled out the pro-grade 1/2 snake (vs. the 1/4 I was using) and promptly chewed through the blockage.  In and out in under and hour so they did it for their one-hour minimum charge which was $88.  A very fair price for the Bay Area.  No nonsense or attempts to upsell me -- just did what they were supposed to do.  Ross even gave me a couple of tips about my sewer line.

I can't say enough good things about this company.  Mark is outstanding intelligent and  has fixed things other plumbers could not figure out.  I think this is the only plumbing company with integrity.  The staff is clean, courteous and kind.  I would give them more stars if possible.  They helped me during two major plumbing disasters.  I only wish I knew about them earlier so I could have avoided all the other people.

Master Plumber has been consistently good over the years and today was no exception. Jorge was clean, efficient, competent and a nice guy. What more can you ask for in a plumber's service call? Oh, and their rates are reasonable, especially compared to the other rooter or plumbing services

We have had to call Master twice in the past few weeks (for different issues) and have been really impressed with the level of service from the time we call until the plumber arrived.  Each plumber was especially thoughtful about not disrupting the house with dirt etc and really took time to explain the issue and fix it right.  We recently had Freddie out to help us but like I said both were great, I just forgot the other plumber's name.  Quoting my husband these guys are top notch  Enough said :)

Needed to have our Kitchen drain stub out lowed a couple of inches during our kitchen remodel for our new deep undermount sink. Called up Master Plumbing and they were able to schedule me for first thing the next day. Jimmy came out and was quick and efficient at getting the pipe lowered.  Their by the hour pricing is very reasonable and overall the quality of the work is good.

I call Master Plumbing on Saturday at about 4PM.  The woman who answered was very nice, clearly explained pricing and even told me what the price would be if I waited until Monday.  After telling her that I couldn't wait she promised a visit by 5:30 but said she would call when the plumber was on the way.  At about 4:15 she called to say he would be there soon.  Vincent arrived at about 4:30 and had my drain cleared in about 10 minutes.  He then cleaned the yuck from my shower and bathtub!  All in all a great experience.

I recently had a major plumbing problem in my condo.  It involved the sewer and took Jose over two hours.  As of yet, I have not received the bill, so I can't speak to that.  But I can tell you that Jose was wonderful, very capable, and a nice person too.  He came out exactly when he said he would.  I had called our homeowners' association about the problem, and now I know why they use Master Plumbing.  I'm reading that their prices are right too, and I am writing this review in spite of the fact that the bill has not come yet.  Another reason to go with them.  Reliability and know-how plus respect for your home.  What's not like?

Jorge from Master Plumbing did an outstanding job in our condo today. He is a very professional, focused on details, organized and polite person. He is proud of his profession and really cares about the people he does the work for.  He had to replace a master valve in our unit and he did his best to do it very quickly so that people in our condo did not stay without water for long.  He checked other valves for the heater and cold water and I asked to replace them too as the whole structure was getting old and worn out.  He got it done too. I hope we  will not have any plumbing problems in the future but if we do I will ask for Jorge

About 10PM one Friday night I found the main water line into our house was broken and I had a foot of water in the crawlspace.  I called master Plumbing and within an hour they had 2 guys, a pump and a large hose taking the water out and cleaning up the mess.  The next day they were out bright and early to fix the water line and get the water flowing into the house and not under it.  Could not have been better treated.  They guys are the ones to call

Ronnie came to our place twice in one week to fix some leaky kitchen pipes and a shower valve. He was very personable and also gave us advice about other plumbing issues. He also cleaned the place well before he left.

After being ripped off by other plumbing companies - $350 for a roof cleanout by two kids who knew less than I did about plumbing???? I have now had 2 service calls through Master Plumbing that  were on time, fixed the problem - 1 sewer, 1 kitchen sink related, and were quick!  Rate is less than $90 an hour.  Both times they noted other issues that they saw, but NO hard sell.  I really appreciated that and won't hesitate to call them again.

These guys are great.  I've used them for a bunch of different projects -- from clearing drains to removing roots from the sewer line to replacing my water heater.  They always do a great job.  When my water heater sprung a leak the evening before I was supposed to leave for Hawaii, I thought my vacation was toast.  But they showed up on very short notice and fixed the problem that same evening.  Master Plumbing is now my first call when I need a plumber.

I am always skeptical of any service company, since results can vary so much. But, I called with a drain issue, they had a technician (Jose)  here in 1 hr, he fixed it within the hour. Complete satisfaction. Jose (the plumber) was very professional, knowledgeable, courteous, clean, and efficient. This was a simple problem, but it was handled very well. If I ever need additional plumbing work, these guys will be on my short list.

We called Master to snake out a completely stopped up bath lavatory drain line.  They sent Jimmy out within a short time and he unclogged the dried mess and replaced a part of the drain lateral for a good price ($94/hr minimum).  There is no charge for travel, even though they are located in the Sunnyvale/Mt. View area - I've previously had a plumber charge me travel time from San Mateo to Foster City...unbelievable!

I had a amazing experience with Master Plumbing.  Late Friday afternoon, after trying unsuccessfully to unplug my kitchen sink, I called Master Plumbing at 4:30pm.  They had someone at my home by 5:15pm.  Jimmy and Jamal very quickly assessed the problem and resolved the issue - unclogging my drain and garbage disposal.  They told me what I should and shouldn't not be putting down my garbage disposal.  They did an excellent job making sure all was working well before they left - and cleaning everything up before they left.  I would not hesitate to use Master Plumbing again and recommending them to friends.

Had a fairly new water heater but it had a major leak on top. It had leaked to the floor below, so water was shut off.  I was recommend to call Master Plumbing.  Freddy showed up on schedule, and thoroughly check the problem.  He was able to give me an immediate assessment of costs for parts and timeframe.  Was completed as promised and very reasonable.  Was a very pleasant experience and all works well.

Had a wonderful experience with Master Plumbing today. Highly personable, HIGHLY COMPETENT Plumber, Jamar, arrived a few minutes early and installed a new garbage disposal on time and under budget. Master Plumbing was recommended to us by our Property Management Company and so a type of 'vetting' was in place raising our level of confidence! I now feel highly confident recommending Master Plumbing!!!

Plumbing was backed up and we couldn't flush the toilets. Yuck! We had the city come out and determine it was in the house. We tried to call a plumber recommended to us but they couldn't come out on the same day. After reading other reviews and seeing this was a larger company we decided we had a better chance getting someone out to the house ASAP. Sure enough, they came in a couple of hours and pipes were cleared in less than an hour. Prices were good and they were honest. We would definitely use them again and recommend highly!

I had a great experience with these people. They arrived quickly and fixed a sewage backup that could have caused a real problem. Jamar, the technician was very helpful and explained the problem. He also gave me some great  information about things we could do to help fix the plumbing in our house. Finally, the price was very reasonable, especially compared to other companies we've used in the past. I will definitely call them when I have a plumbing problem again!

Jim Smith was absolutely fantastic!  We had a drainage problem around our swimming pool, and 2 other companies couldn't figure out where the problem was.   When I called Master Plumbing, they said that I needed to wait for Jim because he is more experienced than anyone else.  I waited 3 weeks for him to come, but it was well worth it.  Jim used patience, logic, experience and ingenuity to figure out that a huge root had grown into one of our pipes and was completely occluding it. Everyone else just wanted to dig up the whole pipe and replace it.  Jim was able to figure out where the problem was, so only a very small area needed to be dug up.  He was able to pass the snake where others had failed he is truly an artist, and he twisted the snake in a certain way in order to make it pass.  He also used a technique to listen to where the snake was located by sticking a probe into the ground.  The guy is a truly a master and loves what he does.  You might have to wait a long time to get him, but it's worth it.  He ultimately saved us a lot of money by being able to localize the problem area.  I'm hoping that we won't have any more drainage issues, but I am going to request Jim if I ever have any issues again.

i needed someone experienced in all matters related to sump pumps.  I checked Yelps reviews for various plumbing companies.  Master Plumbing had many favorable reviews.  I called, explained to a very courteous operator that I wanted a maintenance check on my sump pump system and I had an appointment the next day with a three hour window.  I explained that I needed a 30 minute lead time to reach the job site.  No problem.  Mark J. met me at the unit on time. He explained each step of the job.  He was very efficient, knowledgeable,  and answered all my questions,   I have had various pump companies service our pumps over the years.  I have to say that none of them compare remotely  to the level of service I received from the representative of Master Plumbing.

Had a main line back up that literally was going to the front yard.    I have used EJ several times in the past but I will use Master going forward.   The technician Jamar was friendly, professional, and more importantly you know what you are getting with Master.  They charge a flat hourly rate, they will give you an estimate of time but if they work more or less that is what you get charged.   Most importantly they answer their phones so you are not stuck waiting for a call back.      Their rates are very competitive and for my last job the tech worked a full hour and there was no efforts to nickel and dime me for more time.   I was even offered advice on calling the city if the same problem occurs because the problem occurred due to street trees blocking the line out.    That does not seem like a company / service that is not looking out for the customers best interest.     The only risk is with larger companies you may not get the same service consistently but my experience with Jamar and Master was a breath of fresh air.

It was a Friday night and I had just discovered a leak from out unit down to the garage. I was referred to Master Plumbing by the association.  They were very helpful and professional from the initial phone call and able to assess the situation over the phone based on what I was describing in detail.  I was immediately calmed down (the leak wasn't so bad and no the building won't fall apart) and advised I can wait for Monday morning since the rates are overtime pay at the moment. (Thanks for lookin out.)  Plumber Vincent came out on Monday, assessed the problem within minutes and called out for a replacement water heater immediately. The service was fast, clean, and proficient like the problem never happened. We even have stronger water pressure now! I guess when the water was turned off three years ago by the old tenant it was never really turned back on fully. Amazing! Oh! I also chose Master Plumbing because they are familiar with the property and worked out smoothly with the association.

I completely recommend this company!  I recently had a huge plumbing disaster at my mother's home.  There was sewage coming up all the drains and none of her plumbing was usable.  My 92 year old mother was in tears when she called Master Plumbing and spoke with a young lady named Dianna.  She listened to my mother and calmed her down.  The plumber arrived to my mother's house within a couple of hours. In fact, they had a plumber available sooner than the time they quoted us and Marie called to see if they could come early.  By the time Jorge came out to fix the problem I had arrived to my mother's home.  Jorge was very courteous and very professional. He treated my mother who was still clearly upset with kindness. He worked quickly and obviously was very skilled.  I will be sure to request Jorge for our future needs  I called to thank Dianna the next day and she was just as genuine as my mother said she was.  She said she was only doing her job and understood why my mother was so upset, so letting her cry for a minute or two was not a hardship to her at all.  Thank you Jorge for your professional work and thank you Dianna for your kindness to my mother.  You both have represented your company well.
