What a great guy! We needed a new water filter system in our kitchen and a neighbor gave us Jay's number. He was quick to respond and we made an appointment to meet - which he confirmed and showed up on time. He looked over our existing system and walked us through a couple of options for improving it. He agreed on a system and he promised to get back to us in a week when he would have the parts. Again, right on time he called us and we set installation date. Jay showed up, installed the system and our water is better than ever. Plus, icing on the cake, Jay has a great sense of humor. We're really happy to have found him.

My family and I carefully researched similar professionals before contacting Jay. As one person put it in the reviews - Jay and his father have respect for their trade. They honor the work that they do. Regardless of the size of the project, you will get 110% from them.

We went with Plumbing Rooter For You and I can't say there's a better service. I will personally vouch for their expertise, quality of work, and Jay's positive attitude towards all things. He and Vladdy will find a solution, no matter what!

The project was large. It involved jackhammering, welding, refitting, you name it. The job was so well done, I referred them to another company I work for - even though it was a small toilet pipe leak thing. They were glad to do it. I also advise that you choose them to have your plumbing checked for regular maintenance. They have all the equipment necessary.

Summary: The reviews are genuine. Plumbing Rooter For You will provide excellent quality, service and personally address your needs. I even received a followup call after the job was done to see if we were satisfied. This man is busy. He deserves good clients. I hope that you are one of them.

He diagnosed the issues we were having with an old regulator and replaced it for less than other quotes.

I had a really great experience with Plumbing Rooter For You! Jay was very knowledgable and explained why my plumbing was making noise when flushing. It was a water pressure issue. Happy day! Found my go to plumber! As a homeowner, it's always a harrowing experience finding professionals for home repairs. Just getting them on the phone can be a chore. I called 2 other plumbers that my HOA has worked with before and they totally ghosted me. So I turned to yelp to find a new plumber and Yelp did not steer me wrong.

Amazing experience with Jay. We had a DIY kitchen faucet replacement job that ended up turning into needing a plumber to shut off the water and replacing the valves.

Jay was quick to respond to my project request. After a conversation and a some pictures over text, he knew the issues we were facing immediately with old compression lines, different size fittings - more than I ever wanted to learn!

He was able to come same day. Gave me a time and quote and let me know that things could be pricier depending on if the pipes were rusted and needed replacing. Appreciated his honesty and his pricing was way better than some other quotes I received.

He was running late but promptly called me to let me know his new eta. (I have had plumbers in the past that I had to keep calling and texting to find there whereabouts that were hours late.) I really appreciated this since I was shutting water down on my condo neighbors and he respected our time.

He was quick with the job and my husband said very friendly and professional. Fixed what we needed and did a great job!

I will definitely be calling on Jay again with any future plumbing issues!

Jay worked hard and was very passionate about his work. His work was performed meticulously and neat.

While he is not the most inexpensive, his pricing is fair and competitive; very much a value when considering the quality.

Jay installed two tankless water heaters with all supporting piping such as gas and water lines. He also installed plumping fixtures from the kitchen sink to the bathroom faucets.

For ten years, I have been searching for a reliable plumber in Hollywood. Finally I have found him. His name is Jay and he is very professional and reliable. I've read all of the other reviews here, and I agree with them.

For me, Jay took on a massive challenge of replacing the main sewer line on a steep hillside. He gave me a very reasonable price, he started the job exactly on time and finished ahead of schedule.

The work was very difficult because of the hillside location and yet he never complained. He just got to work and did it fast and well.

The job was extra complicated because the digging and pipecutting and replacement were done in a neighbor's yard on the hillside above their house. As you can imagine, this is a very difficult request for a neighbor to accept and get comfortable with. But I did get permission and I promised my neighbor that Jay would do the job without any disturbance. Jay did not let me down.

Jay and his crew were supremely professional. They were so quiet and so efficient that my neighbor did not even notice they were there working until I texted to let them know that the job was already done. Afterwards, there was literally no trace of the digging.

The other thing I noticed about Jay is that he uses state-of-the-art equipment. He showed me the scope down the sewer line, which is hundreds of feet in length, and it was all very clear in color on the video monitor. He also used a metal scanning scope to find the pipe on the hillside and he has a state-of-the-art system to line the old pipe with a fiberglass sleeve. I felt very confident about his ability to do the job correctly.

Jay is a good communicator. He explained to me very carefully every step of the repair job in advance. At each major step during the repair, Jay climbed up the hill and invited me to come down and inspect the work. I like knowing that the plumber is not afraid to show his work and is willing to explain it to a customer. Not all plumbers want the homeowner inspecting their work. Jay is okay with it because he does good work.

In sum, I recommend Jay highly. He is trustworthy, reasonably priced, prompt, thorough and reliable. You can't ask for more.

(Also, I have previously hired four different plumbing companies, including the two big ones, and they were very disappointing. Three of them created more problems than they fixed. From now on, I will only go to Jay for all my household plumbing jobs).

My tenants contacted me last week regarding an emergency plumbing repair that was needed in the bathroom. After calling a well-known plumbing company and given a ridiculous quote, I decided to search for a plumber on Yelp. My fiancé clogged the sink and thought he could fix it himself because he considers himself a handy man. Of course it didn't work and I woke up to a flooded kitchen. I told him to call a plumber because I'm sick of eating fast food and sandwiches and that he needed to get back in the kitchen and make me something good!

I told him he better call a plumber to fix the sink before I got home. My fiance found Jay on yelp and called right after we got off the phone.

Called Jay on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend for a clogged disposal. He answered promptly and said he could fit me in on Monday. About an hour later he called back and said he would come by after his current job. Jay fixed the problem and recommended other hoses that were installed improperly to begin with. I originally requested a quote from Jay because I needed the water supply line to a toilet replaced early on a Saturday afternoon (and a holiday weekend!). He got back to me promptly, we talked on the phone and he gave me a reasonable quote. He arrived early in the time window he said would be there in. He and his assistant promptly got to work. I called Jay because we had a jammed garbage disposal in our rental unit.

We scheduled for him to come the next day, on a Sunday. He gave a one hour arrival window, which is great because many service providers give 3 hour arrival windows.

He arrived within his promised window and was polite and personable.

Jay quickly presented me with different options on how to resolve the issue. I decided to replace the garbage disposal as the one that jammed was cheap and low quality (I knew this particular model was of lower quality even before Jay said it was. The contractor that put it in originally put in the cheapest appliances and we didn't know at the time it was not a good brand).

Jay worked quickly and left everything perfectly clean. He also noticed our sink was leaking a little from the strainer and fixed that too for no extra charge.

This was about as painless of a repair experience as it gets so I highly recommend Plumbing Rooter for You.

Mine was a short experience with Jay, but a great one.

Okay, I recently purchased a new home and wanted an old large hot-water heater replaced with a stylish, Eco-friendly tankless unit. Another plumber quoted me a ridiculous amount just for labor. I found Jay on Craigslist and he quoted me less than half of the original plumber's price. He did an amazing job and made sure I was informed throughout the process. He cleaned up well and even did some drywall work to make sure I was completely satisfied with the job.
Fast-forward two months and he's completed two additional plumbing jobs (leaky pipes/faucet) for me. He takes pride in his work and he values his and his clients' time. I very much appreciate that.

I read the reviews, called to get a quote and Jay came out and explained everything in detail. I had 2 inspectors at this house to look at the plumbing during escrow. Jay found and spoke to everything that was called out by the inspectors. He was fair and seemed very honest. I would definitely use him again.

I read the 1 star and it seems to me like this person is a renter who does not understand what quality work costs. As a homeowner I do NOT want the cheapo plumber who is doing crappy work and cutting corners to save me a few bucks now and then cost me thousands later in damaged floors and walls. No thank you. Sorry renter guy, let's see what you would say if you actually owned the place. You probably never paid for quality work because you don't have to live with the consequences of poor workmanship. You get what you pay for, its a lesson hard learned for some.

I highly recommend Jay. He was very timely. He is extremely professional. And as a single woman who is concerned about getting screwed and about feeling safe with a stranger in my home I would highly recommend Jay to any other woman who has these same concerns.

Everything was professional and top notch from start to finish. They gave excellent service from when I first contacted Jay and he promptly responded, all the way through when they finished the job. We could not be happier.

Jay and his dad came out right away to give me an estimate on installing a Fleck water softener system for our house. They saw that our main water shutoff valve was broken and that the pipes were set up poorly and explained the danger of this to me. They strongly recommended fixing this and cut me a break in the quote to include it (which still beat out two of the other quotes I had gotten).

My husband and I have never had a water softener before so after the estimate, we had a lot of followup questions. Jay always got back to me right away, even if just to tell me he'd call me back a few hours later. They even came out a second time to answer more of our questions.

We decided to go with Jay and his dad because of their professionalism, promptness, attention to detail, competitive pricing, and their patience in explaining everything to us. We will definitely be calling them again for all our future plumbing needs.

We had a major water heater emergency. We were suddenly without hot water for almost a week. When one plumber said that he was going to come but never showed up or called, I had to search for one asap. Everyone I called gave me these ridiculously high quotes. When I googled for a plumber near me, Plumber Rooter For You popped up so I called. Without hesitation, Jay came right over and assessed the problem, and since my water heater was still under warranty, we ordered the part and it arrived the very next morning and Jay came by and quickly installed it. He knows his stuff!!
I can say that we have found our plumber. He's a pro and has the most reasonable prices. He can't be beat! He's an honest guy and that's hard to find these days in professionals.

They were GREAT! Hardworking and showed up twice over the week of Thanksgiving to check out a leak coming from the light fixture. They came after hours and took the time to find the real issue rather than just taking out the ceiling which would have been easy for them to do. Called plumbers in a panic when toilet stuffed up and after plunging for 2 hours, no luck. Jay said he would come after he was thru with job he was finishing. Easy to communicate by text. When he came realized I had once called him before with a strange leak. He Works with his father. They looked and looked and were here for about an hour looking for this leak and couldn't find anything. I was getting nervous because I thought they would charge for all their time. When they couldn't find where the leak was they left and charged NOTHING!! They said to call if it came back. It never did.
Oh, and they also fixed my toilet quickly too. Fair price.

I live in an older house, beautiful, but older. Like all old houses, you're gonna have some plumbing issues. We'd gone thru a few plumbers until we found Jay and his dad. When I say they're the best plumbers I've ever dealt with, I mean it. They've done five jobs for us and all of them were well done. They don't do crappy fixes that don't last and they explain everything they need to do, why they need to do it, and what it means for your plumbing situation in the future. Having a hazard shutdown from gas company for my water heater. The vent pipe need to relocate so it's not touching the ceiling wall.

First, Jay was stuck in the traffic, and he called me 15mins before he knows he is gonna be late. How can you be mad at a responsible person like Jay.

He got to water heater issue and suggest few options. Also, recommended the cheapest possible way to solve the issue. He make sure you understand what is going on and patiently explain what is going to be done. However, ours were a little complicated so he ends up snaking my clogged sink instead. Clean job!!!

During our talk, he got a call and promise to call back, which he did. And, call back to cancel with other guy for not being able to make it. Very Thoughtful! He understand the urgency his clients have been through.

Jay is almost to good to share, you want to keep him for yourself. I had a plumbing emergency (broken water heater) a couple of months ago and needed someone quickly and found Jays reviews on Yelp.

Not only did he pick up at 11pm and was extraordinarily gracious about the late call, he came promptly at 8am the next morning. He carefully explained the issue and fixed everything in 30 minutes, and put everything back in its place. Since then I have had him come out 3 more times (backed up toilet, backed up sink, broken dishwasher) and every time he has either showed up within 2 hours or promptly shows up on the set upon time. He is very conscious of keeping your place clean and he manner is friendly and affable. He inspires trust and guarantees his work, so he is my number one guy now for anything plumbing.

Jay was wonderful! I emailed him to get a quote for a large re-piping job and regulator installation. He was not only thousands cheaper than the other plumber I spoke with but he made a point to show me exactly what needed to be replaced/repaired, and walked me through why (we discussed the short term and long term impact of each repair). Apparently the other plumber I spoke with had added on unnecessary work to their quote.

Jay is a perfectionist and produces work of the highest quality. He is honest, hard working and really knows his craft (my handyman fully vetted him). He was early for all three of the appointments I had with him. I would highly recommend him!

The main line under my home needed hydrojetting, and the side line to the bathroom needed snaking. I made a detailed inquiry on yelp to about 10 plumbers regarding my clogged garbage disposal. Everyone that responded immediately said that it would need to be replaced and the cost was 400. Jay was the kinky than said he will come take a look at it. Further, this was on Memorial Day and he came an hour later! Every other plumber tried to charge me a fee because it was a holiday. I have now moved into a new place and jay has served as an expert for all of our plumbing needs.

He is very responsive and available through phone, text, whatever.
He will give you a good/fair/honest price.
He is genuinely a really nice person.

He works very hard and i was lucky to have found him.

Don't mess around with other companies. Save yourself the time and hassle and just go with jay.

I called them up on sunday morning because my kitchen sink was backed up. Half my sink was full with old water and food particles and i didnt want to wait until monday to get this fixed. Jay came by in an hour and fixed the issues.

Jay is the man! I have an old house with old pipes and I'm happy to finally have someone I can say is my guy.

I called the company I normally use to replace a corroded drain pipe and their quote was much higher than I expected considering they had done similar work for me before. They had been great in the past but it just didn't seem right so I started looking for a 2nd opinion when I stumbled upon Jay and Plumbing Rooter for You. Jay called me back within 5 minutes of my message and was at my house 20 minutes later. I explained to him the situation and he was very honest that due to the tight space and tough access he couldn't do the job himself BUT he would get an employee out as soon as he could. He called me 20 minutes later and said he could be out on Sunday but he would call Saturday to confirm. This is the part where you normally have to start calling these guys and chasing them... not Jay he called me twice Saturday to confirm and showed up 15 minutes early on Sunday to get the work done. The first plumbers that came out wanted to get away with doing as little as possible, not Jay. He said if we're going to do it, we'll do it right. The job was harder than originally thought due to the tight space but they got it done right and quick. He updated me through the entire process and has followed up twice since then just to make sure everything is ok. All of that AND his price was much, much, much better than my first quote.

Jay is GREAT! I called the 800 number, Jay picked up right away, and he came to our apartment within AN HOUR of calling him. The problem ended up being a more complicated job than originally anticipated, so he ended up going to another appointment he already had scheduled that evening, and then returned the SAME night and fixed our pipe. Charged us a very, very reasonable rate as originally stated on the phone and was professional, courteous, and left the place cleaner than he found it (I've had experiences with plumbers in the past where I find a disgusting mess when I come home - this was the opposite!)

If we ever need plumbing services in the future, I will most certainly be calling Jay again and have already told friends and family about this business.

I called Jay this morning in a slight panic after the plumber I had scheduled a week earlier cancelled without notice. We live in Los Feliz and he was able to be at our building in less than half an hour. He and his partner replaced a faulty cartridge in our bathtub faucet, but when he wasn't satisfied with the water pressure he went out and found a replacement part. I was changing out a stacking washer-dryer in a condo and discovered that the shutoff valves behind the unit were rotted through. I called Jay, who came out the same day. He pulled out the old washer-dryer (no easy task), replaced the faulty valves (which involved discovering which lines in the garage provided the supplies), and also rerouted a drain line for AC condensation, which had been positioned above the shutoff valves, thereby exacerbating the rust. It was a messy job but he, along with his helper (possibly a relative) got it done quickly and efficiently. Jay and his company are fast, reliable, and reasonable. I really love Yelp for this one! My shower wasn't working properly - when I turned on the shower head water would leak from the tub's faucet as if it were on. I searched all morning for a plumber to fix it that would at least give me a ballpark estimate over the phone. This company is truly excellent! I had an emergency plumbing situation, and Plumbing Rooter For You took care of it perfectly. I needed my shut-off valves replaced because my old ones did not work at a critical moment when I needed them to work. These guys did the job extremely professionally. Their rates were very reasonable, and they used the best quality parts! Other plumbers might use the twisting kind of shut-off valves where you turn and turn and turn, but Plumbing Rooter For You used the 1/4 turn kind, which is a lot more reliable. They also double-checked their work, so if you want a job done right, go with these guys! They don't cut corners. They are worth whatever you pay them. I'm definitely going to use them again in the future.

I had a faucet that kept dripping. I called them about noon, and Jay said he could be here around 4pm. He showed up right on time. He was easy to work with and quick. He was offered to do the replace the stem that was needed, but when I asked how much to replace the whole faucet, it was equally inexpensive. Jay was excellent, from the initial consultation through completion of the project. Our project was somewhat difficult, and entailed running 2 new underground gas lines (for an outdoor kitchen BBQ and a fire pit), new water lines (for an outdoor sink and landscape irrigation) and a drain for the outdoor sink. The last item was easily the most difficult, as the main line that Jay had to connect to was encased in concrete. Jay spent many long hours carefully/painstakingly chipping away at the concrete to access the existing drain line. He also spent a great deal of time, without complaint, finding the right connections for some non-standard items in my outdoor kitchen that he was installing, with multiple trips to supply stores to get the exact right items. Jay and his dad are amazing. Have an old apt and pipes are very old and fragile. Was very sensitive to the old pipes to ensure preserving as much of the pipes as possible. We bought a washer and dryer without realizing that our apartment didn't have an extra gas hookup. After the gas company came out, I called Jay at 1:00 in the afternoon. By 5:00, the work was done. If you need plumbing service, I totally recommend to call this company. For me, it's really hassle to call plumbers because seldom they make you wait and wait.. And next thing you know you can't make it to work anymore.

But this company is totally different. First thing in the morning, our kitchen greeted me with a leak. Called this company and not even 20 mins they were already at my house. They did a very great job and very professional.

This is the kind of plumbing company you always hope for. Jay answered on the second ring, quoted me over the phone, showed up in 15 minutes. They wore shoe covers, worked super clean and were done in a half hour. Clearly Jay takes pride in doing the job right. I needed a quick fix for my clogged laundry drain. I found Jay on Yelp and I am so glad I did! He was able to come the next morning and arrived during the time period he gave me. Jay found the problem, snaked the drain, and did some testing to make sure all was clear. He charged me what he quoted me on the phone, which I felt was a good price for the job. I called this company due to an emergency. My shower/tub wasn't draining to my surprise since I just recently had my apt building manager put Drano to clear the clog in my tub. The service was very quick and they cleared my drain from the inside (a long, thick mess of my hair were clogging it) that Drano couldn't dissolve it (so gross), I'm surprised I'm not bald yet for the amount of hair they pulled out. Absolutely the best plumber experience I ever had! This is a family owned business and Jay and his father were phenomenal. I needed underground pipes repaired which were underneath a cement block patio. They carefully removed the squares and bricks, repaired the plumbing and then put everything back as before. They were on time, stayed until late to get the job done completely. Jay even fixed incorrectly placed water lines which were not part of the job. The price was excellent for all the work they did and time spend doing it. They were also very clean and used high tech equipment.

I called Jay after reading positive reviews on yelp. Of course I was skeptical and upset that I had to call him in the 1st place to get a quote for a water heater. Well I was lucky to get him he had time available right away. I let him know the type of water heater I was looking for..not the standard 6year one...I wanted more longevity. Since he didn't have those available he agreed to go with me to pick up the one that Wanted. My home was built in the 80s and I'm sure you can guess that codes have changed since then. Jay gave me all the details that I needed to make an informed and intelligent decision to ensure that I had hot water for years to come. He wanted to make sure that I was happy. I wasn't sure that was going to happen because I wasn't expecting to spend this money...but in the End I'm extremely happy with the installation and with Jay's professionalism and honesty. I'll definitely use him again!

I called up needing to add a water line to my fridge and Jay couldn't have been more accommodating. He came with another nice man in just over an hour. I had a great experience with this company! I needed to get my kitchen faucet removed and then reinstalled because I was getting my counter tops refinished. I must have called at least a dozen plumbers and the quotes they gave me were outrageous--how complicated could it be to install a sink? The quote from Plumbing Rooter For You was about half of what I got from any other company, so I decided to go with them. I'm so glad I did! Jay was punctual and professional. I LOVED that he wore booties in my house and he even laid down pads under my sink so that it wouldn't get dirty when my counters were refinished. I will definitely call Jay next time I need any sort of plumbing help in my house.

I highly recommend Jay at Plumbing Rooter for You! I had guests staying for a week and on day one, the guest shower had no hot water. I got plumber 1 over who didn't even know how to remove the faucet. Then plumber 2 who gave me an outrageous quote, didn't even touch the faucet and said I needed some expensive part. I had spoken to Jay earlier that day and called to see if he could still come the following day. He said he would be there at 1pm and showed up at 1pm. He took the faucet off and concluded that it was a much simpler job, no part was needed and charged me a 3rd of what the other morons (Rescue Rooter) were trying to charge me. He was in and out in an hour. Sure wish I had called him first. I've already referred to him to another friend who lives nearby. My guests in their hot showers thank you Jay!

Jay came to my home and stayed until 10 at night on a Saturday. He even helped me update all the plumbing at both my businesses in such a fast time with quality service so it wouldn't disrupt the business schedule. What would have been an extremely stressful process turned out to be almost painless. He finished the job and kept me up to date on all progress throughout the whole ordeal. I am going to recommend him to everyone I know without a doubt. A good and trustworthy plumber is really hard to find. My main water valve broke and I received a suspiciously large estimate from another company so I called Jay and sent him a picture of it. He gave me an estimate that was legit half of the other. I asked him if he could he make it the same day since we didn't have any running water for the day and he immediately said yes, even though it was late with heavy traffic.

Came in and promptly fixed it. He was respectful and the final price was the exact same as the estimate. Deserves all the tips and praise.

Writing Yelp Reviews isn't necessarily on my top list of things to get done during the day. However, when I have an extremely good experience with a company, I want the world to know! I want to make it easier on everyone who's looking for what I was looking for, because honestly, I trust yelpers. Before my recent need for one, I can't remember the last time I needed a plumber. It's safe to say I was freaking out trying to find an affordable plumber who would do a great job. I guess you could say I hit the Jackpot with Jay. He's friendly, fast, and his work is amazing! I'm not sure how many people I've already referred him too! I can't help but to brag about my PLUMBER to my friends. I never thought that would come up in a conversation, but I was so satisfied with the work that I had to let all of my fellow homeowners know. I can honestly say he is the one you need to get the job done. We basically had him replace everything: faucets, toilets, and he's done a spotless job with all of them.On top of that, the bills we've received from him haven't had any surprises as his quotes were very accurate. I chose Plumbing Rooter For You based on the stellar feedback this company has on Yelp. Jay deserves not just 5 stars but the Milky Way and a star on Hollywood Blvd. Minutes after I left a message, he called back to arrange the time to come by. He completely explained to me what was wrong with the brand new water heater that a handyman had installed, what it would take to get it back to work but also what it would cost to bring it up to standard. In the end, Jay saved me a lot of money because he was able to repair the old water heater in no time, after he had poured a leveled cement foundation, he moved the heater to the correct location, moved the water and gas pipes, installed a new gas valve, the needed correct vent, and he even returned the newer water heater for me to the vendor so that I would get my money back. He continued the work on Saturday and after sunset. Jay is totally reliable, trustworthy, devoted to his customers, and committed to do excellent work. It's worth it to hire a pro!

Overall experience is top notch I definitely recommend to anyone who has problems related to plumbing. Last but not least there pricing is very compatible and fair to anyones. My original service call was to clear my kitchen drain. They unclogged it a timely manner. I have a garbage disposal installed when we I first moved in and we never really use and it froze up. They fixed it and make it worked like new with no extra charges and that was surprising part . Jay was a lifesaver!! We just bought a house and then had it fumigated before we moved in. The fumigation company had the gas turned off, but then did not have it turned back on...and didn't tell us!! I found out only a few days before our move date. I found Plumbing Rooter for You on Yelp. I can confirm that all of the wonderful 5 star reviews are earned and accurate! I called Jay late in the afternoon on a Wednesday. He was free on Thursday morning and actually ended up being able to come by an hour earlier than planned. He immediately identified and understood the issues and put me at ease. He then made a special trip to buy a specialty piece of material so that our furnace could be properly attached to the gas line the same day. He addressed all of the issues flagged by the gas company. He then noticed that the gas line that we will need for our washer/dryer was capped, and he installed a valve. This was an issue that none of our pre-purchase inspections had even flagged. Jay was so patient with me and took the time to explain not just the work that he was doing, but other things that I need to be aware of as a first time homeowner. I honestly don't know what we would have done without him (actually...I do know - taking cold showers and ordering lots of take-out for the foreseeable future...). I would highly recommend Jay to anyone in need of top notch, affordable plumbing services. In fact, I already sent his card to my realtor and told her that going forward, she should call Jay instead of the obviously unskilled plumber that did our inspection and missed several significant issues.
