I had questions/concerns regarding water pressure in my new construction home in Chicago. Gave a call to Drain EEZ, spoke to Pat's wife, she was very kind and told me she wasn't sure they were the right shop given what I was considering (water boosters), but she would have Pat call me and we could chat.

Pat called, was super nice, informative, walked me through various things to consider, options, causes-- suggested a competitor who would be able to meet my needs, and gave me an idea of what to expect, and what to look out for.

I deeply appreciate doing business with people who conduct themselves in this way, and will be giving Drain-EEZ every bit of plumbing business that comes up in the future.

In the service industry you're buying the person, not the product-- great experience, suggest you give them a call next time you need help.

Pat and Jeff got it done!  They were early, efficient and fast.  And very pleasant! My slow drain is now back in action. Pat took the time to explain the kind of drain I have and how it works. He answered my questions and gave me pointers on ongoing maintenance. My prior plumber retired and I was reluctant but resigned to trying a new one.  Jackpot!  I will definitely use Drain-EEZ again next time I have a plumbing need.

A lot of high ratings, and I can see why! I had some odor coming from the bathroom sink faucet and didn't know why, so I reached out to Drain-EEZ Plumbing. Pat was very quick to respond and said to give him a call. He told me a simple fix for it and didn't even come out or charge for his time, which was quite a surprise and awesome for him to do that! If I ever have major plumbing issues, I know who to go to for them!

I cannot say enough good things about Pat and his team at Drain-EEZ plumbing. I had an issue with the water leaking from the washer water line pipe at my two flat. I reached out to several companies and one that came for an estimate quoted a ridiculous amount and also did not do a thorough check on the issue.

Pat was really responsive and even if I did not go with his company he gave me his thoughts. Pat was really busy at the time and I did not mind waiting for his services. He and his crew came and accessed it thoroughly and determined that I needed a peet trap installed which would help with the leak and sewer gas smell. All the issues we are fixing from a seller who sold us a house with lot of bad repairs.

Pat fixed it within an hour and the project was reasonable. Thank you Pat and team!

Excellent experience!

         I had attempted to turn a water valve off in order to proceed with a repair on my own elsewhere in the home. This valve was comparably ancient contrasted with modern valves so the packing broke loose and it started leaking and Non-Stop. With an issue like this it made me hesitant to try and use the main shut off for fear of the same result. At this point and complexity I decided to let a professional handle it and patched the leak temporarily.
         This is where Pat from Drain-Eez came in to help. I called immediately after hearing a word of mouth recommendation before and looked him up in Yelp. Gave a call right away and was presented with the most professional nice and cordial person, Pat. Not only did he provide a good quote, he explained in detail what it would entail. He had even told me that if I want to shop around for other quotes to go ahead. That's all I needed to know to choose his services.
          Within 36 hours the job was done, the price less than the quote and a quality repair done. I now have alternative shutoff valves as well as the originals being repaired and he even left a new part for one of the jobs I want to do on my own. I wholly recommend his services more than any other plumber I've worked with. Pat is the type of person you want to call, super friendly, concise and approachable and not only will respond quick, you know the job will be done correctly!

I will be using his services again when something goes awry, which with plumbing, it's a when and not an if.

Spoke with Pat on the phone and gave me clear instructions on what to do, potentially saving us from even having him come out to service our home. Free advice, I'll take that!

I called at 8:30pm on a Monday night because my dishwasher was leaking even while not running, which had begun to flood the ceiling of the floor below it, and I couldn't figure out how to stop it.  Pat picked up my call right away even though I was not a previous or existing customer, listened patiently to my description of the issue, asked me to text him a picture of where the leak was coming from, and then helped me get it stopped just by talking me through it over the phone without needing to come on site.  He was patient, professional, and extremely helpful even during evening hours when other plumbers I've worked with before did not even answer the phone or call me back.  Next time he will be my first call.

Our faucet broke off of its handle. Pat called after I sent an inquiry and recommended a local shop to visit for the replacement part. The shop had exactly what I needed and I was able to get the faucet fixed thanks to his recommendation!

Called to fix a dripping galvanized connection in the basement. It's an old building, nothing is easy, but even dayam! Pat estimated $1,500. I suddenly remembered the crappy job they did when my mom was dying in March 2019--I called Drain-eez to fix a short list of issues at my dad's building. They spent some hours and charged thousands. It was too much but I trusted them to get it right -- nope,  several faucets still drip and he caulked a modern knob on the hot water spigot for the tub (looked like crap and fell off, yippee!).

After Pat gave me the ridiculous 2020 quote, I called Bryan who came and did the job in an hour with copper for $200.

We have Drain-eez on speed dial. As new homeowners over the past year, we've had issues with our garbage disposal, ejector pump and a toilet leaking. Each time, we called Drain-Eez, and they showed up very quickly, fixed the problem properly(no need for repeat visits), and charged super reasonable prices. They have my strong recommendation for any plumbing issue.

Of course anything that could go wrong will do so right before the holidays.  Reaching under the kitchen sink I discovered water dripping from the garbage disposal.  Not good as I use that thing all the time.  So I cleaned up the water, stuck a bowl under there to catch the water and started to look for a plumber to come out and take care of this situation.

Found this place based on the reviews and decided to request a quote online in Yelp.  I got a message back right away (in less than 5 min) and was told to call in to make an appointment.  Got a hold of Pat, explained to him what my issue was and the type of disposal I have.  He immediately told me that it sounded like the seal had blown and that it would not be something he could repair since it was sealed at the factory.  But he could replace it.   Having done my own research, I figured the unit would have to be replaced and Pat confirmed that.  The unit was the original one installed from 2006, so not surprised it crapped out.

Called on a Friday and got an appointment for the following Monday at 10 am.  Got a call Monday morning to confirm that Pat would be there between 10-11 am.  He showed up at 10 am and got down to work.  He inspected the pipes while installing the new disposal.  We had just had one of the pipes replaced last year, but the other was was the original one.  Pat didn't try to do a hard sell but recommended changing out the one bad pipe and save the cost of another visit while he was there.  As The Doctor and I were already in agreement with this plan of action, we agree to proceed with the pipe replacement.

Total time on the job was 30 minutes.  Pat was in and out, very professional and nice and pleasant to chat with.  For these types of services, you hope you never have to use them again for a long time.  But if something does come up that requires a plumber, I am calling Pat and Drain-EEZ.

Pat was great!!  First: He Actually Answers the Phone!!.  So nice to hear a voice and get questions answered right away.  He came the next day and re-did the kitchen sink, faucet and garbage disposal.
He also fixed the upstairs faucet as well.

I called Drain Eez plumbing a few weeks ago to discuss several projects I needed to get done. Not only were they prompt with their response, they were also extremely courteous and gave a fair quote. They replaced a tub spout, a handheld shower head, and fixed a running toilet within 30 minutes and didn't charge extra even though they used more parts than expected. Pat even walked me through how to change my rain shower. I would definitely recommend these guys, they came on time and didn't leave a mess.

I had two different plumbing companies come out to investigate what turned out to be a complicated plumbing issue. Both said they were unsure of the root cause, and then next step would be to demo the bathroom.
Since a demo is not currently an option, when I sent out a new round of request for quotes, Pat was the only one who thoroughly read the description of the problem. He called me shortly after and explained what he thought the problem was and what he thought the next steps should be (and was very clear that the next step should NOT be demoing the bathroom). Others that I requested quotes from clearly did not read any of the background I sent.
Unfortunately, Drain-EEZ doesn't work on the type of toilet installed in the bathroom. However, Pat recommended another company that does, and I ended up hiring them because they are clearly experienced, and also very good at communicating what they are seeing. The best part is, I did not have to demo my bathroom!
I will absolutely reach out to Drain-EEZ again in the future.

Very responsive and helpful. Everyone wore a mask. Showed up earlier expected.  Installed a new faucet, though it cost a little more due to electronics for touchless technology. Took the time to show us how to use the technology and tips for how to keep it working properly.  Liked that I was able to buy my own faucet and have them install it.

Direct, honest and helpful. I got in over my head with the flange level on a possible toilet install and they came out the next morning and installed it right quick. In and out in under an hour.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend Drain-EEZ. I called them to investigate a spigot which froze over the winter. They looked at it and informed me that because there was no shutoff valve nearby, the water in all the pipes in our 3 story condo building would spill when they cut the pipe to do the repair.  They also quoted us around $850 and suggested we instead pursue other options.

We called a different plumber and they completed the repair without any noticeable water spillage. We asked how they did that, and they stated they were able to locate a shutoff valve in the next room over. And they said that even if that wasn't there, they could have drained the building via a sink in the basement to prevent the vast majority of water from spilling. And their charge for this service? $170.

I'm not thrilled that I paid a $65 consultation fee to receive a crazy quote for a repair they clearly weren't comfortable doing.

I was replacing my kitchen faucet on a Saturday afternoon and after installing I noticed that the nut that connects the basket trap to the drain was cracked and leaking.
I brought the part to H Depot and no one was able to assist. I contacted Drain-EEZ for a quote and Katrina handed the phone to Pat who walked me through the parts I needed and how to complete the project. He said that if I couldn't do it, then we could talk about booking him, but if it worked to make sure I left him a positive review.
Well here we are. Pat went above and beyond and when I have need of a plumber in the future he is 100% going to be my first choice. Thanks!

When another plumber we had used before couldn't schedule us, I found Drain-EEZ APat was able to fit us in THE NEXT MORNING!  He is friendly and obviously very knowledgeable, giving us advice about next steps and other professionals to do non-plumbing work we needed.  He got the job done quickly and RIGHT!  

Update:  We tore down the drywall in the basement and found a sewage pipe leading to *nowhere* just dumping sewage in the ground... which explained the smell we have been HAUNTED with forever.  Pat came and fixed it VERY quickly.  He has literally changed our lives with that basement.  So professional, such a great guy.   I can't say enough about him and Drain-Eez.  Thanks, Pat!

Pat at Drain-EEZ is an awesome plumber and human being. We had a kitchen faucet that wouldn't rotate and was totally stuck.

We reached out to several plumbers to obtain quotes. The other plumbers said that the faucet needed to be replaced for a several hundred dollar install!!

On the other hand, Pat very generously offered a suggestion for us to try before resorting to a new installation. His suggestion WORKED in 5 minutes and fixed our problem!

Who knows, perhaps one day the faucet will die again and really need to be replaced... but can you guess what guy we'd trust to do the repair? Thanks Pat!

My toilet was slow to refill and I wasn't sure of the problem. Pat was quick to respond and identify the problem immediately. He rebuilt the tank to get it running back to normal. A couple of days later I had a part break on another toilet. I called Pat and he knew the fix and helped walk my tenants through a repair with ease. He made sure I bought the right part and followed up when the work was completed. He was great in communicating and was very knowledgeable in both instances. We have used Drain-EEZ twice over the course of the last year and a half and in both cases we were satisfied with the response, service and pricing. The first project involved a complicated shower faucet repair and fortunately Pat was able to find and replace the parts, repair the faucet and resolve all of water temperature issues in a timely and efficient manner. The second visit involved fixing a clogged toilet (bath toy obstruction in the siphon) and the installation of a new garbage disposal. Apart from getting the job done, I appreciate how quickly Drain-EEZ responds to calls, how they always arrive on time (if not earlier) than the stated appointment time and the fact that Pat always suggests numerous solutions and explains the repair process. Drain-EEZ has been and will continue to be our go-to plumbing service for future issues!

Pat was great! From my initial call, all communications with him were on point and very professional. I called Pat for a drainage issue in my kitchen, and given that his quote came out in-line with a few other quotes I'd received, I took advantage of the positive reviews I'd seen on Yelp. Needed a kitchen sink disposal replaced and some minor work to a bathroom sink drain. Submitted a half-dozen estimate requests via Yelp, Pat got back to me right away with, by far, the most reasonable estimate. Spoke with Pat to schedule the work on a Monday and he was here, on-time, as promised on Thursday. Work took only about 30 minutes. Great work, great customer service, fun to chat with too. This is a first for me...I never actually used these guys. I put out a message for a plumber on Yelp and they responded. They actually gave me the name of a different plumber with expertise in my problem (kind of complicated to explain). Based on this fact...I'd call these guys and the other guys in the future, period. There are a lot of bad/dishonest people and I'm actually very grateful for their recommendation.

I called EZZ Drain about a leaking bathroom faucet. I sent a photo of the sink and faucet. I was told they couldn't do the work. I then contacted a real plumbing company that had no problem fixing the leak.

We have talked to Pat 3 times now for separate issues. He has always picked up his cell phone immediately, even late at night. He tries to problem solve for us on the phone before having to come out, which is SUPER nice to do because he could have easily come out and charged us for. I am cursed with water issues so I can tell you I have used DOZENS of plumbers over the years. There's a reason Pat will be my go-to from now on! I cannot say enough good things about Pat and Drain-eez but I'll give you an idea of the kind of service I got...
* He gave me suggestions over the phone of things I could try in hopes of avoiding a service call
* When I actually needed him to come out, he moved things around to accommodate me
* He fixed a leak in a really tricky location and installed a clean-out valve so I can maintain it on a regular basis and avoid another leak
* He was honest about everything I would need done and actually saved me a bit of money
* He has continued to offer me advice about what I should do in the future even though it won't mean more business for him
* He noticed I need to have my basement redone as a result of an unrelated flood (see? cursed!) and he has been helping me find someone who can do the job. He's called contacts of his and asked me to send him pictures so he can continue to ask around.

It's not just that he did a great job, it's that his customer service is unmatched!

I had a leak in my toilet. First guy I called said I should probably replace all the parts inside the tank, because it looked like the previous owner had dropped a freshening pellet in the water and the chemical had eaten at the parts and seals. He could do that for $375, or just replace the one leaking seal for $225.

I called Pat. He took one look at the same picture and diagnosed the problem. When I asked him for an estimate, he said, Oh, you should just do that yourself, because I'd hate to charge you for something that easy. He then spent another five minutes walking me through it and telling me what to buy at Home Depot. Other than the time, I doubt it'll cost $25 to fix.

I didn't need Pat's services this time, but I'm definitely saving their number for future use. Thank you!

I scheduled to have Drain-EEZ  come out and resolve an issue with a clog in the basement sink and possibly my sub-pump.

The owner of this company was accommodating of my schedule and called when he was on his way to my home.  As soon as he looked at and 'examined' my sub-pump he instructed me that I needed a NEW one.  

He and his assistant then started working on the clog and spent a good 10-15 minutes trying to unclog the basement sink.  Since they could not fix it via the basement sink, this necessitated having to cut a section of my pipe  so he could run a line that way.  Another 20
minutes later and he informed me that he could not resolve the issue and I would have to get someone to TEAR UP THE FLOOR since the pipe was so badly clogged or broken!

After hearing this and having a conversation w/my realtor, I decided to get another opinion.  I did this because tearing up the floor would have meant $1500 to 3000 dollars.  I was also very upset thinking I would have to tear up a floor for a house that was going to be sold.  

I am so very glad my neighbor recommended another plumber (I will be writing a great review for them). It took a week for this new plumber to fit me into his schedule, but it took him 20 minutes to UNCLOG the drain. He also told me there was NOTHING wrong with my sub-pump.

It's interesting that Drain-EEZ has these great reviews on Yelp, it is the only reason I contacted them.  I will say the guy was willing to assist me in getting good estimates for tearing up my floor, but these estimates would have been for work I DID NOT NEED.

His price was also double what this other company charged when nothing was resolved. Obviously he has done good work for others, but I could never recommend this plumber to anyone!

I had a serious clog in my bathroom which was preventing my bathtub from draining at all.  I had previously hired another plumbing company which was unable to resolve the problem.  When I called Drain-EEZ, I had some questions about the service and the secretary transferred me to Pat, who was very helpful in answering my questions.  He expressed a high level of confidence that he would be able to clear the clog.  

When he was unsuccessful in making it past the clog through the tub, he took the sink apart and was eventually able to break through.  The first plumbing company gave up after they were not able to go through the tub.  Pat was also helpful in addressing my questions and general concerns.  I would hire Pat again as I found him to be both informative and skillful.

We're having issues with basement flooding, and while ultimately we didn't end up engaging Drain-EEZ for this particular issue, the service was still absolutely excellent. The initial person I spoke to on the phone was polite and personable, and when Pat called us back promptly he helped us two clueless new homeowners do diagnostics over the phone. Other services we called pushed us to send a plumber over without giving us a quote, which is a clear trap, while Pat was transparent start to finish. It's great to know that if we ever need a good plumber, Drain-EEZ will be on speed dial!

Wow. Pat is the real deal. He walked me through the steps I needed to take over the phone in order to fix our kitchen sink garbage disposal. I also learned how to fix the issue in the future should it  happen again. He could have easily charged me a trip fee and also sucked my time, which I don't have as it is. He answered my call at 9pm, was pleasant and super easy to understand. I'm honestly blown away   More businesses should take note. Punctual, efficient, and fair.

Pat, and his assistant Kevin, came to fix a (downward) leaking toilet.  They lifted it out, immediately saw the issues, remedied those issues, reset the toilet's position, and secured it back in.

They triple checked their work, confirmed no more leaks, left no mess, and wrapped everything up in about 30 minutes.

I appreciate the direct and straight forward approach these guys have to explaining, fixing, and checking their work.  I will definitely be calling Drain-EEZ in the near future to address a few other water/plumbing related issues we've started to notice in and around the house.

The hose bibb on the exterior of my house leaked water when a hose was attached to it.  I sent a video to Drain-EEZ.  After some technical mishaps with emails and txts (his phone wouldn't accept videos and I was given the wrong email address a few times), Pat told me I likely had a frost free valve that needed to be replaced.  He said that he would not fix any drywall to replace the valve, which I accepted.  He got to my house while I was at work and my mother-in-law let him in.  He confirmed over the phone it was a problem with the frost free valve and said he needed to buy parts.  He told me it would be $850 and kept reiterating that he didn't know how long it would take until he opened the wall.  It took about 2 hours and the parts appears to have cost less than $75 (from searching Home Depot).  That is a high hourly rate.  He replaced the frost free valve with a normal valve that would require an access panel, without asking me first.  It is not an easy place to put a panel as it's right above the baseboard above some stairs.  After raising this as an issue, he said to just put a modified HVAC panel over it, which won't even work, as the valve sticks out past the drywall.  When asked about why the price was so high when he didn't run into any problems, I was told they charge by the job, not by hour/parts.  Lastly, the new hose bibb that was installed is loose on the outside as it is not secured to the brick as the original one was.  

The new valve works, but for $850 I have a loose hose bibb, I have to add a custom/awkward access panel, and wasn't clearly told how things are billed until after the fact.  The plumber with the mitigation/restoration company quoted me $750 to put a new frost free valve in and a manual valve under the stairs (Pat was made aware of the closet underneath the stairs).

If you care about aesthetics and/or price, I would not recommend.

I definitely recommend this business. We had an annoying clogging issue with the utility sink in our basement. After trying a few things on our own, we gave up. I don't have a go-to plumber so I went on Yelp, looked for a few local plumbers with a high number of reviews and a 4.5+ star rating. I sent a detailed description and requested quotes from a few businesses and got a response back, probably within 20 minutes, with a quote that included a Yelp discount.

I called for an appointment. At first, they didn't have anything soon enough, got a call back after they got a cancelation and Pat & Jeff were at the house within a day and a half. Since we have a very old house, the work ended up being more complicated than expected; however, the price didn't jump as dramatically as I was afraid of and the work still only took about an hour. Also, the pipes are better configured for the future and they explained EVERYTHING that they did and showed me the parts they replaced. I may know little about plumbing but I know my way around Google so I appreciated that they took the time to explain the work to me.

The work also comes with a 90-day guarantee. Good work, fast and at a reasonable price is not that easy to find. Glad I have a go-to plumbing company now. Thank you :)

Update: I had a 4 star review instead of a 5 based on price...high. It's now 2 stars. The first handyman (Punchlist Plumbing & Bath) hired  took shower head off and it was now leaking (wasn't an issue before). Drain-Eez came out fixed the problems from the first repair that weren't fixed by Punchlist and then took the shower head off, saying I needed a new one & could do that myself. After Pat from DrainEez left, I took out my plumber's tape and reinstalled the shower head...no leaks. What exactly am I paying $685 for when you can't even toss in a few inches of plumber's tape and screw on a shower head  for an extra 5 minutes of your DOCTOR's pay? I changed my mind. I won't be using this person again. It's sort of like a bad one night stand with all these plumbers, electricians, mechanics, etc.  They leave in the morning  and you realize they took your wallet!  I'll add Pat remarked on no one wants to fix or repair their places anymore. I'll add to that- it's because the average person cannot afford to hire people to fix stuff. Most of us don't earn Plumber's Pay.  This repair set me back, seriously...I pray nothing else breaks in the next few months. Now, I know why my poor aunt kept a dishpan under her leaky sink for years.

Pat was helpful and completed the job in a timely manner. He was honest that he couldn't get to my place for a week, he's not in this area (Rogers Park) often. He fixed what a handyman screwed up even worse than it was. He had an assistant with him, so I can understand the high price-kinda. Still, the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is $685 for less than two hours work & that included having to go get the part, changing out parts that cost tops $60 total.  I wanted to cry but what can I do, I've been without a shower for weeks. I'll forgo some groceries for awhile & work overtime if I can. I just don't get on average $300 an hour for almost all repairmen. I mean brain surgery it's not, but unless you are really sure, you won't screw it up yourself & that your place is brand new without any of the glitches that occurs when you own an old place, some things are best left in a pro's hands. I would still use him again for anything that I can't fix myself (which I'm actually capable of doing) & I'm grateful I can now take a shower again.

Pat was unable to service my toilets as I live out of his service range, however, he was still huge help.  My toilet stoped flushing last year and when I reached out to him, while unable to come out, he talked me through the fix and basically taught me how to replace my flush valve on my own.  I called him again about two weeks ago because my other toilet started to have similar issues.  Again, he messaged with me and diagnosed my problem based off my description.  Another new flush valve replacement was done large in part to his tutoring.

If you want a truely honest plumber, call Pat.  He's the best and just a kind and understanding person who wants to help others.  He never charged me for talking me through things.  And while I did the labor and hard work, I don't think I would have been able to do so without him.  

Again, he's the best.  Don't waste your time - just call him and you'll get grade A service.

I called to schedule an appointment for them to look at my ejector pit. It turns out it is an older unit and needs to be replaced. I was told they would give me a call with a quote for a new one. I was charged a $55 service fee. I was never told there would be a fee for having them out and they did nothing other than tell me I needed a new unit.

Before leaving, the technician gave me a 20 minute lecture on how bad the water that comes out of the faucet is for one's health, telling me I needed to filter all of the water I use, drink, cook with, give to pets, water our plants... It was really long and at that point I just wanted him out of my house.

They never ended up calling me with a quote for a new one. About a week later, I called them. They gave me a quote that was way more than I am able to spend at this time. I'm very disappointed at the service I received.

I called Pat on Friday afternoon about our garbage disposal that wasn't working. Gave a fair quote for removing it and putting in a new pipe. He showed up early on Saturday to handle the work. When he looked at it, he immediately knew the issue and got it working again in about 15 seconds. He also saw that one of the pipes was severely rusted and would have broken so he replaced it. HONEST HONEST HONEST good guy. Our NW side neighborhood was hit bad with this 1000 year flood, but we barely had seepage because the prior owner of my house had installed an ejector pump that died only after saving our basement. I was looking for someone to service and called Pat at Drain EEZ. He called me back and asked me to send pictures of the ejector, which is really old. He said he didn't service this kind and I said, you're the third person to tell me that maybe you could just install a new one, maybe it's just dead. He said, Lady, you and I will both be long gone before that thing is dead. It is state of the art, don't get rid of it. He then told me he was going to make some calls for me and get me someone to service it. Which he did. Days after a massive storm where you can barely get a plumber to call you back (believe me).

I hung up the phone and said to me husband, In a weary world, so shines a good deed. I will refer everyone and anyone to this guy and use him next time I need a plumber.

Was 8pm and I'd just gotten home from work. Had water streaming out of the booster pump in the basement. Called Pat @Drain-eez. He told me they were full up with orders. But he spent a good 20 minutes on the phone with me walking me through how to disable it and which valve did what. And in the end, informed me of the cost of replacing the pump.  After a moment of sticker shock, he let me know that I could probably coast on city pressure. He was right. He's saved my evening and my money. So, the least I could do was leave a positive Yelp review. I've actually relied on Drain-eez in the past (to more than satisfactory results) and was startled to find I hadn't yet left one. So, this is actually overdue.

We have been using Drain-EEZ Plumbing for over five years now and have always been very pleased with them. In fact, this is the only company that comes to mind when I think of who to turn to for a reliable plumber.

We have used other plumbers before but none of them compare to Pat, the Drain-EEZ plumber. He goes above and beyond to assure a repair is done right the first time and has had to fix the work that plumbers did. For example, a couple years ago we had a plumber that just pushed a clog further down the drain with his pressure plunger. Well, a week later, the bathroom shower and kitchen sink had water coming up in them again and so I called Pat. He spent a good couple of hours rodding the pipes and knocking on wood, we have not had an issue like that since.

We have used Drain-EEZ for several services from rodding, to installing toilets, to replacing rotting pipes, and have be very pleased every time. They'll even squeeze us to their already full schedule and do what they could to make the cost reasonable and competitive.

EEZ exceeded my high expectations. Here's why.

I needed old, corroded pipes replaced under my kitchen sink and a new faucet installed(which I had already purchased). Previously, I had asked my friends for referrals of their plumbers. Friends' plumbers never followed through to call or return my calls. I also contacted a very good plumbing service I'd used in the past. Left messages and never received a return call. So by this time (approximately couple months), I'm frustrated. My corroded pipes have now morphed into cracks and dripping water under the sink soooooo, we used the old temporary standby-duct tape. Yep, sure did. It kept the water at bay for a short while. I became frustrated and desperate. I YELPED.

Found couple of highly recommended services. Sent messages requesting quote and Pat from EEZ responded same day. Called the office and spoke to very pleasant, friendly woman (I believe it was Katrina?)  Pat requested some pictures which I texted to him.(LOVED THIS CONVENIENCE of sending pictures to alleviate his making a trip to my home just to give me an estimate. It also gave Pat a peek at my duct-taped pipes AND now the gaping hole.) Hoped the pictures didn't scare him into quoting me an unreasonable estimate. It didn't.
Pat called me as soon as he received the pictures. He gave me a very fair estimate and we scheduled an appointment for a 12-2 pm window for Monday(yesterday)

Pat called me a little before 11am asking if I were at home because he wanted to come within 15 minutes. Hey, works for me. Pat and his assistant showed up within 10 minutes, replaced all the pipes under my sink, installed the faucet, cleaned up and were done in less than 90 minutes. I am so thrilled with the pipes and faucet. (Those corroded pipes were as old as Abe Lincoln so it required extra patience and muscle. Pat and his assistant handled it.)

Also, the electronic credit card payment process/invoice took less than 5 minutes to complete.

Oh yeah. Chain broke in our very OLD toilet tank and I asked Pat if he could replace it. He checked it out after completing kitchen job.  He was honest. (This guy has a great sense of humor.) Because of age of toilet, he said it would be hard/costly to find part. So he told me about an inexpensive do-it-yourself repair option. Like I said, HONEST AND FAIR.

ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY will call Pat again.

I'm so happy I found Drain-eez on yelp. They definitely deserve the positive reviews.

Within 5 minutes of submitting an inquiry, I received a call. Katrina was so kind and explained what she thought the issue may be with my cold water. Later that day we chatted more and her husband helped me trouble shoot the issue and solve without him even coming out or requesting a fee.  This is a stark contrast to some other companies I called, where they immediately quoted a price and without asking any questions about the issue.  I will undoubtedly use Draineez again and recommend them to all my friends!

Pat and his brother were great. I needed my leaky garbage disposal and my kitchen faucet both replaced.  Prior to coming out, Pat told me which disposal I could buy at HD if I wanted to save some money, and have it ready for him.  I also had the faucet ready.  He charged me exactly what he quoted me over the phone.  I'd call him again the next time I need plumbing work.

Okay so I called Drain Eez to fix a pump issue.

They came 100% on time.
They went above and beyond.
They fixed everything perfectly with no complaints.
They left my home SPOTLESS.

STRESS FREE!!!

and even repaired a toilet they discovered was malfunctioning!!  ( they did not have to fix it, but they did, because they wanted everything to be working properly with our new pump.

They are nice and professional and amazing. Pat is a genius and is coming back next week to fix another problem that was caused by another plumbing company.

as far as other reviews here are concerned:

Sometimes things happen and a plumber is late because they never know what they are going to find behind a wall or under a sink..so they can be contending with flooding and all kinds of emergencies..so I always cut a break if they are late..

I am extremely happy with the job they did for us !  

they are going to come and fix my tub next week.. they may have to go into the wall.

 It's always good to have a General contractor to fix the cosmetic stuff because Plumbers cannot do drywall etc..

I highly recommend them and our condo association will be using them in the future.

I called Drain-EEZ Plumbing last night based on the great Yelp reviews. They picked up the phone right away, and Lou was here not only right on time, but actually a few minutes early (after he called to make sure that was okay)!

Lou was extremely professional. He explained and showed me what the issue was and what he had to do to fix it. After he was done, the toilet worked better than it ever had, and the bill came in under the estimate! I only wished I had hired them to install it rather than the person I had hired initially.

I called Pat during the COVID quarantine, and before he suggested having someone come out, he tried to help me repair my garbage disposal over the phone so that I didn't have to spend any money.  With his assistance, I was able to easily repair our garbage disposal, save money and not have to worry about breaking quarantine.  This is truly above and beyond!  I will never use another plumber as long as I live in Chicago!

I've had various plumbing issues over the years in this old house (bathtub, kitchen faucet, toilet) and Pat from Drain-EEZ was able to fix them all to our satisfaction. Also, recently I was unsuccessful in fixing a kitchen sink drain leak myself so I called Pat to come over and solve the problem for me. They did a good job installing, but did a poor job recommending a toliet. There recommended toilet is very tall and now I can't touch the ground when I go to the bathroom. We'll end getting a new toilet so my back doesn't hurt everyone I go. It's my fault I didn't realize the recommended toilet was too tall but wish they didn't recommend a non standard toilet. They also wouldn't offer a discount when we called and asked if they would reinstall a new one.

Scouring through yelp to find a plumber can be an overwhelming experience as there are a large number of plumbers in the city.
If you want someone prompt, reasonably priced, polite (and funny) but also a master craftsmen, i will make your life much easier by recommending that you stop looking right now and go with Pat and his team. Not only is Pat good at his job but it seems like he loves his job as well. He went out of his way to give us good advice on mold issues in the shower but also made sure that the clogged drains were fully cleaned. He cleaned up after the job and was overall terrific to work with. I can say with certainty that i won't have to look up yelp for a plumber again. :)

I called on a SATURDAY night for a non urgent issue (low water pressure) assuming I would get a voicemail box and instead got a live person who transferred me immediately to a plumber after hearing my issue. I wish I knew his name because he was fantastic and talked me through how to fix the problem without requiring a visit, at no charge. It is clear he just wanted to do what was right for the customer. We will for sure be calling back next time. So nice to be able to have the peace of mind that you will pay a fair price for the work you need done - and to have water pressure to tackle the Saturday night dishes!

When first searching Yelp for a plumber, Drain-EEZ stood out because of the multiple comments saying that they were helped over the phone, without a visit or a charge. I called the number provided and gave my project break-down to a nice woman. She told me Pat the plumber would call me back. I received a call from him a few hours later, as promised, and he tried his best to help me out over the phone and through photos. One of my jobs required him to visit my home. He worked fast and got the job done. I felt an honest, genuine vibe from him. I will give him a call again if needed.

I realized water pooling around the ejector pit cover every time we ran the washing machine in our basement *probably* meant our ejector pump was malfunctioning. I called Drain-EEZ and within 1 day they had the old pump replaced and the new one up and running. Katrina took my call and helped triage; Pat was very efficient to diagnose over the phone; Pat & Kevin worked quickly and efficiently to get it done (they even showed up early to start working....that's a first for me). Before leaving they cleaned up after themselves and cautioned me about hazards related to the waste. Pat also diagnosed a small gas leak from our gas dryer that we had missed (completely unrelated issue). These guys go above and beyond...highly recommend..!

Drain-EEZ didn't perform the service I needed, so I ended up not utilizing them.  However, I'm giving 5 stars to the 30 min conversation Pat's wife had with me about my situation and options.  I'd already been ripped off by another plumber and she was kind enough to share her thoughts and experiences.  She even offered to call back with a referral for someone who would do the job properly and ethically.  I've called dozens of plumbers, but none were willing to explain different terms and approaches to me with patience, let alone someone who was for sure not getting the job.  Great customer service!

Pat lived up to his 5-star Yelp rating and I'm glad I turned to him to fix my toilet's leaking wax seal. Great communication in response to my request for a quote, great communication in scheduling, arrived perfectly on time, worked quickly, dealt with an unusual plumbing situation left by the toilet's installers, and quickly unclogged the adjacent sink drain for free. I called EEZ plumbing to make an appointment to install a garbage disposal. I explained that the one I had was not working and that I had another one for him to install. He told me he would give me the fix to get my existing unit up and running. He explained what I needed to do. I did exactly as I was told and it fixed the problem. He obviously could've made an appointment and installed the new unit, instead he told me how to fix my existing one. What an unbelievably kind gesture. These guys are great.  We had a sudden issue with a kitchen sink backing up in a  short term rental unit we own.  I had guests checking in within a matter of hours, and the team at Drain Eez were very accommodating in getting us taken care of quickly.  

Our house is old and has (to put it nicely) an irregular plumbing set up, which looked as if it was going to cause a lengthy and expensive problem.  However after some creative quick thinking in their part they were able to resolve the issue quickly and in a cost effective way.  

I would recommend Drain Eez to anyone for their plumbing needs.

Pat and Lou are awesome. We had new countertops installed and needed a plumber to reconnect our new faucet, sink, and garbage disposal.

From the beginning, it was easy to work with Pat. He is incredibly responsive (you can text with him) and he returns calls quickly.

Lou came by to do the work, was friendly and got everything working properly! After some discussions with Lou we decided we wanted to install a water filter so we scheduled another appointment for them to come back out!

I will definitely be calling them for all/any plumbing needs (only wish I found them sooner). Thanks!!

I almost had a 5 star experience.  They came in, worked hard.  The issue was unfixable, however they explained to me why and their explanation was accurate and acceptable.  The missing star is due to lack of clean up.  ZERO clean up, little black pieces of sludge/smudge everywhere.

I cleaned it myself, and they got the important part of the job right, but I cannot give you 5 stars if you don't clean up after yourself.

Note: One of the workers was also one of the owners.

*Edit: after they read my review the owner promptly called me to apologize and also credited me back part of my payment. I feel this was a good move and have changed my review from 4 to 5 stars. I'd recommend these folks.

I texted Pat on Yelp and got instant reply. He sent Lou to come over right next day! I was very impressed by their fast response. The job is done. However, you'd be sure to set the timer. Lou called at 12:31, came in almost 1 pm and went out to buy some tools for 15-20mins. He finished the job around 3:40. At that time I asked him about the price. He told me he would charge me 3 hours. I replied him it should be around 2.5 hours. He just said whatever and charged me 2.5 hours. I was happy with his detailed job but got upset by his attitude after discussing the work time. I did not insist to get the $49off Yelp discount in the end... (I don't know if I should pay the time for him to buy extra materials and fill his job report ?)

Lesson learned: make sure you set up the timer when the plumbers come.
Overall, except the work time, I'm happy with this company! Efficient and well communication.

I had a leaky pipe in my basement that led to the rest of my house. Not knowing a thing about plumping, I called Drain-EEZ Plumbing and within 3 mins, Pat had given me quick DYI tutorial on how to address the issue. Turns out the packing nut wasn't as tight as it should've been, resulting in water seeping out.

It took 10 mins of effort, a wrench and a ladder and I averted having to pay hundreds of dollars to have Pat come out and do it himself, all thanks to Pat himself!!

This is how you know that these guys really care about wanting to help people. Pat could've easily come out and earned the money but he wanted to make sure that the problem was definitely something I couldn't fix on my own before he came out. What a great day.

I definitely won't hesitate to call and pay for Drain-EEZ's service when something big does happen!

After my previous plumber broke my toilet and didn't want to replace it...I had to venture out once again into the scary land of finding a new plumber.  We all know how tricky and harrowing this can be.  Will I be overcharged?  Will the job be done right?

After some pretty deep Google research, I came across Drain-Eez and today Lou came in to reset my toilet and put in a new wax ring.  There were some complications, and a nasty mess I won't detail, but Lou handled it all in stride with a smile and polite conversation.  He not only did a fabulous job resetting the toilet, but taught me several things about: my sink, my toilet, my slate tile, and even Chicago drinking water.  To top it all off, I paid a very reasonable flat rate that was lower than the 5 other plumbers I contacted.

Great work.  Great price. Great conversation.  I'm happy to have a new plumber!

I was in a bit of a panic when our kitchen sink clogged up and wouldn't drain. I wanted the problem solved quickly. I called, left a message and was called back within the hour with an apology they didn't answer the phone. Understandable but I appreciated the kindness and professionalism. The lady gave me a reasonable estimate and a 2 hour estimate of when the plumber would be here. It would only be a couple hours after we talked!

The plumber called and said he was 20 minutes away and was within the window I was given. When he arrived he took off his shoes and went to work. After fixing our kitchen sink he even looked at our bathroom sink that we mentioned to him wasn't draining very quickly. He pulled out some hair and gunk and didn't charge us for it. The total price was the low end of the estimate with the Yelp discount. Overall couldn't have been happier. Lou, the plumber was friendly, professional and knows his trade well! If you need a plumber call and ask for Lou!

Asked for a quote to replace 3 faucets in my home. After the usual back and forth about the details I sent pictures of the faucets and was waiting for a quote. Get a call back and am asked to sit down. Was told it would cost $300+ dollars PER faucet to do a replacement. Seriously?? From pictures??  Not very professional. Today, Lou came by. For some reason, my appointment was canceled?? Which i never did and I waited for someone to arrive 9-11 today. At 11, I called to find out my appointment was canceled (which I did not) but it's all good. They squeezed Lou in. He was amazing! He checked my sink/tub drain and seemed all good. He did listen to what I heard but he said it was nothing to worry about. He was friendly, personable, had a good conversation about water and I'm glad it all worked out in the end. So very helpful! Called on a busy morning and Pat returned my call asap.  I needed some tree roots cleaned out of my sewer.  As Pat is recovering from an injury he was unable to do the work himself.  However, he gave me an excellent referral for a company who specializes in sewer cleanings at a very fair price.  He was right! The company he recommended was excellent as they took pride in doing it right!  As they were getting ready to leave, they realized they needed to retrieve a rootball that had fallen off their line so to prevent flooding.    

Asked Pat about future projects too.  He asked me to text him pictures and came back with solid advice. Will reach out to him when I am ready to do something in the future.

I wish Drain-EEZ Plumbing serviced my part of town (located in south Chicago), but that didn't stop them from helping me tremendously.

My husband and I are in the process of purchasing a condo when a water leakage issue in the unit below us arose. Pat was willing to talk me through the potential causes of the water, estimated a range of possible repair costs, and helped me think through next steps for investigating and mitigating the issues. He said I could call back when I got more information, which I did, and he again helped answer the questions I needed to have answered before deciding whether to proceed with the deal or not. Fantastic help.

Usually Yelp doesn't steer me wrong but I guess my luck has finally ran out. I really didn't get anywhere near five star service and value from this plumber's visit. I had an issue with my bathtub being backed up. First they told me they would be at my place after 1pm and then they came 2 hours earlier. Normally thats fine but there was no warning they just showed up at the door unexpectedly. No call or anything.

They proceeded to use a rooter to unclog the plumbing. They arrived at 11:10AM and left by 11:35AM, total time=25 minutes. Now how much would a good plumber charge for something that involved a total of 25 minutes of labor? $100? Maybe $150? How about $255! Yes he wanted over 500 dollars an hour to stick a rooter down a drain. No materials mind you, just labor. Of course I brought that up with him and he gave me the that's what we charge line. What would you like to pay? I replied $150 and he actually barked back Hell no! I'm not coming out on a Saturday for $150! Of course he never mentioned that his rates go up for supposedly coming out on a Saturday until that point. So after a little terse back and forth he let me go with $200. Still way too much in my opinion for the work, professionalism (or lack there of) but at least not quite as obscene.

He didn't even put the stuff back that he took out from under the sink, which for over 400 bucks an hour you'd think he might do. He even had a helper. But I guess that was just too much help. Maybe I should be happy, at over 8 bucks a minute that few minutes of cleaning up could've really added up. Now I get to go upstairs and clean up the mess, fun.  

Maybe I got him on his bad day, I really don't know. He did root the line and the clog seems to be gone. The bath is draining. Still not quite as well as I'd like but decently. He did also mention not to use Drano on these old pipes since it is an acid, unless they have been changed. Well, did he check the pipes? Obviously not since they had been changed years ago to all copper in the house.

He also didn't ask many questions. He didn't seem to care if this might be part of a larger plumbing issue or if there were other factors that might be in play. He seemed to come to root the plumbing, get paid and get out.

Now mind you that I don't often give out such bad reviews. I think this is the second one star review I've ever given out. I would probably had given him two stars but his hell no response kind of negated that. Plus, on the receipt he did not check mark any of the boxes that guarantees his work for at least 30 days. Good to know if I have problems again tomorrow that he will expect at least another 200 bucks. In this little whirl wind of an event he did mention that he was getting too old for this. I guess that's one thing we can both agree on.

Pat, the owner of Drain-EEZ, was a fantastic help with my garbage disposal problem. First, he tried to help me fix it on my own to save some money. When it  became clear a replacement was needed, he and an associate came out on a Sunday to accommodate my busy schedule.

Service was very professional and quick, they even took care to be as quiet as possible as my daughter was napping at the time. Highly recommend Drain-EEZ!

Pat from Drain-EEZ just left and replaced parts on my poor toilet that wouldn't stop running.  The entire experience was a pleasure--even paying the bill since he gave me a $49 new customer discount--even on a Saturday! :) When I called around 10am this morning, Katrina said she'd check and see if he could make it out today and would call me back. She called back in 5 minutes and said he'd be there between noon and 2pm. Then she called back 10 minute later and said Pat had rearranged his schedule so he could be there in 20 minutes--which he was.  How nice was that!  Pat was personable, polite and quite efficient. He explained what he did and showed me the parts he replaced. Overall, I can't say enough nice things and would highly recommend them.

My hot water kept dripping in my bathtub, called a couple of places and was told $800 on up to repair, got hold of Pat and he came over started the work, only fixed the hot water faucet, since the cold water was not leaking.  Cost me a quarter of what the other guys wanted and was done in no time.  Drain-EEZ is on my contact list, will call, if needed.

Pat was a life saver. My anti frost pipe failed during our brutally cold winter and after trying to fix it, realized it needed to be replaced. Called these guys and Pat came right out to address it. Rather than digging into the wall costing me $$$ he was able to make a small hole to install a vent to allow warm air from interior to enter then install a cap for the pipe on the interior. Saved me thousands for a spigot we never use. Fantastic!

I've never written a review for a business that I didn't even use, but here goes.

I described my food disposal problem in a request for quote. I tried everything (turning the crank, checking power, checking circuit breakers). Pat told me to call so I did and after talking to him for 30 seconds I knew I just didn't hit the reset button.

Other people tried to come out to have a look at it, but Pat just volunteered his help. I'm almost looking forward to plumbing issues now to enlist his help.

I can't say enough great things about Pat and Drain-EEZ Plumbing!  

Our garbage disposal has been broken for weeks and I finally called Drain-EEZ yesterday to set-up an appointment based on all the positive Yelp reviews.  The receptionist was friendly and helpful and when I asked if there was anything else I should troubleshoot before having to buy a new disposal, she told me to wait and talk to the plumber.  

Pat came on the phone and walked me through all the tricks to fix the disposal myself.  It was amazing that he could tell through the cell phone with the water running that the blades were not spinning and that there must be something still stuck inside.  He waited on the phone the whole time.

After we got off the phone I was able to find the culprit... a small piece of plastic lodged in the side.  I am grateful that Pat didn't charge me for the time, insist on coming out or push replacing the disposal just to make a few bucks.

Drain-EEZ will be the first plumber I call when I have any issues and I won't hesitate to recommend them to my friends.

We had a leak with our dishwasher, and initially called roto-rooter for help. After waiting over 9 hours for the guy to show, he diagnosed our problem as being in the copper drain pipe in the wall, a repair he couldn't make. We tried to schedule a follow up appointment, got frustrated and called Drain-EEZ.

The plumbers showed up 30 min early (!) for our 2 hour window (!), and after all of 5 minutes determined it was the hose, not the copper pipes, that was the issue. Fixed the hose in another 5 minutes, didn't mind when I asked to take pictures, gave us advice about yearly maintenance to avoid the issue going forward and that was that. Cost was reasonable, and the plumbers were fast, professional, and pleasant. Saved us from having our walls ripped open looking for a copper problem. I would definitely call them again for any future plumbing issue!

BEST SERVICE I'VE EVER RECEIVED.

I had a burst pipe in my shower and looked to yelp for the best service around. I found Drain-EEZ Plumbing and I first contacted them through yelp for a quote and got a response in less than 10 minutes! I called them on Monday and we scheduled a time for the plumbers to come on Friday. I sent them pictures of the pipe ahead of time so the plumbers can come prepared! They fixed my burst pipe for the cold water in less than 30 minutes. Then they noticed that the hot water pipe was leaking and then they fixed that as well. I am very thankful that they caught the problem with the hot water so there wasn't another nightmare like before!

The plumbers were very respectful, helpful, and FAST! They came right on time as we scheduled, gave me some advice on how to prevent future bursts, and cleaned up after themselves! I am definitely saving Pat's number in case I ever have a plumbing issue again!

Also the receptionist that I spoke to was very nice and I can tell she really wanted to help! Compared to some of the other people I spoke to...

These guys are incredible. We had a toilet that had been slowly leaking really on and off for over 15 years.  We've had many plumbers service it over the years, but the problems always re-occurred. After seeing all of the great reviews on Yelp and wondering if these guys could really be that good (they are!), we called Drain-EEZ.

Lou came out and was so incredibly knowledgeable, professional, thorough, and nice. As he worked, he showed us all of the other shortcuts previous plumbers had taken throughout the years and why we continued to have leaking water. He explained everything he needed to do to fix the issue properly and then proceeded to do just that. And then he did a fantastic job of cleaning up afterwards which is something we always worry about with plumbers.

For the first time, we have 100% confidence that this issue has been properly and permanently fixed, and we owe it all to Lou!

Was having some kitchen sink and sump pump problems. Pat came and took a look. The sink was put together a little wonky (technical term), the vent wasn't high enough and the piping was more complicated than necessary, but overall it was just an issue of the drain never being serviced. They roto'd it and it works soooo much better.

I recently moved into this place and have never had to deal with a sump pump or an ejector pump before, so it was just great peace of mind having Pat take  look. He explained what all the different parts where and what they did. He explained common places of failure and what to look for, but assured me that what I had was in good working order for the time being. If/when the time comes to replace them, I'll definitely give Drain EEZ a call.

Woo! I'm an idiot, and Drain-EEZ didn't punish me for it! I left them an e-mail at 9:30pm tonight because I didn't want to be terrible and call them about a leaky faucet, since it wasn't really an emergency.

I shot them an e-mail instead, and in 30m they called me! I had sent a picture and he immediately knew what the problem was. It was a super simple fix, and instead of taking the fee for just showing up and spending 10 seconds fixing it, he just told me what to do! Voila, all fixed and only 5 minutes of my time, and for free!

I needed a simple rodding of my kitchen sink and lines. It was easy and fast to make an appointment. Good service and good communication. They were prompt and efficient, in and out in about 30 minutes yesterday. No complaints about the service at all and my drains are running fine. But sure wish I would've asked for an estimate first! My fault. Maybe these are COVID prices? Or I was charged the female price? Or maybe I paid for all that free advice they give everyone. Don't know, but I'm feeling taken. Lesson learned. Today I looked back at my records for what I've paid in the past for other plumbers and this exact same service a few years ago cost less than 1/3 of what I paid yesterday. So I paid more than 3 times as much for Drain-EEZ, and that was with the Yelp! discount. It would've been almost 4X without the discount. Again no complaints about the service but I will not use again and  cannot recommend based on their prices.

Called to schedule a repair appointment for our broken garbage disposal. I talked to Pat who was very flexible on scheduling. We got an appointment in the books, but he said that I should call when I got home and I could probably fix it myself with a little coaching.

I called back after 9pm and within 2 minutes Pat talked me through the fix. Problem solved without spending a dime and he answered a couple other plumbing questions, no doubt we will go back to them any time we have plumbing needs!

I requested a quote from Drain-EEZ for replacing a drain stopper that wasn't working.  They responded within a few hours to my online inquiry and provided a quote that was reasonable based on the research I had done, so I scheduled it.  Pat and Kevin arrived 30 minutes earlier than the agreed upon time slot only after confirming that I was available.  I'm somewhat handy and do a lot of simple fixes myself, so I had tried to fix the stopper before even calling them but to no avail.  They came in and had it fixed in about 3 minutes - the replacement wasn't even needed.  I guess that's why they are the experts :)  They charged me a reasonable service call fee and in the end saved me a few hundred dollars.  I would highly recommend them.

It's notable that the other 2 plumbers I had contacted wouldn't provide a quote without coming out to see it and would have charged me a fee for the estimate that would be deducted from the price of the work (i.e., free estimate only if I used them for the work, otherwise, I'd be paying just for an estimate).  Given that this was a pretty straightforward request, I didn't feel that paying for a site visit was necessary, so I never did get their quotes.

I'm thankful I found Drain-EEZ. They offered a couple different appointment times, so it was super convenient. They showed up on time and told me the exact price before they started the work. The work was done quickly and they offered me advice. I like that the receipt broke down everything they did. I hope I do not have to call them again but if I do I know I'm in good hands.

Pat at Drain-EEZ is amazing. I called and left a message because my garbage disposal unit stopped working for over a week and my sink was getting progressively more clogged and backed up each day.
Pat called me back within 30 minutes and said he was going to walk me through fixing it over the phone instead of charging me a fee just to drive to my house and fix it in 5 minutes. I followed his patient directions and indeed - it helped!  I had to do another step but my husband wasn't home to do it.  Pat gladly offered to have my husband call him when he got home from work so he can walk him through the final steps of fixing it.  This is especially great because 2 days before I had called another place and the guy was going to charge me $75 just to come out.
Pat is FANTASTIC!  It's rare to find a person / company so eager to help customer and so HONEST.  Thanks, Pat!  Highly recommended.

I don't know much about how garbage disposals work, but had an issue with the switch not turning on and slow drainage of water. Requested a quote and Pat returned my inquiry within an hour. Pat was great on the phone with scheduling, understanding my needs and giving me a quote. I'd compared to two other companies and the other companies either couldn't give me a quote over the phone (which would have meant scheduling more than one time to be available) or were higher in price. Lou came out to fix several small projects (replacing a faucet, replacing the valves under my sink, fixing a slow running toilet). He provided several helpful pointers that will not only benefit me in the future but also my whole condo building. I'd highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.

The first time I called Drain-EEZ, Pat went out to one of my rental properties to check on a drain. After some initial inspections, the problem had seemed to work itself out and no work was needed. Considering that I don't live in the area, he could have very easily taken advantage of the situation and charged me for unnecessary work. I'm not sure how much others may charge for similar services but Pat's honesty convinced me that he's my go to guy for any future plumbing services.

After a great experience back in June when I first called Drain EEZ for help clearing a clogged drain in my bathroom tub, I knew I would be calling them again for anything else that came up with the plumbing. This time, I needed help with a clogged sink in the other bathroom and a leaky toilet. Pat was able to come to my house the next day, and this time he brought his helper Kevin. They were both great! Pat gave me expert advice about what caused the leaky toilet issue and gave me different options based on what I could afford, which I really appreciated. Have had Pat  out a couple times now for urgent plumbing issues. Recently needed a broken stop valve for dishwasher line replaced in a hurry due to a scheduled installation. Called Drain-EEZ and a few other 24/7 plumbers and hands down Pat was the most honest and accommodating. No extra charges for after hours service! Other places wanted to charge $100+ just to come out after hours and wouldn't  provide additional pricing info before getting here. Pat told me when he could  get here and exactly how much it would cost up front. Have to appreciate no BS service like that!

I hit a few snags (bad valves and lots of rusted hardware) while replacing my kitchen faucet after the head of the pull-out spray hose had broken off. I called Drain-EEZ, and they sent Lou.

By the time he was going back to his truck to get his metal grinder to cut out the remainder of the rusted hardware, of which, he'd removed more than half on his own and I'd managed to remove zero, I knew I made the right call bringing in a pro and not attempting to go further on my own.

Not only that, I made the right call in bringing in Drain-EEZ. Lou was super smart, worked fast, and was a pleasure to talk to as well. The price was great and the workmanship top notch. I'll definitely call them again when I'm in over my head.

In the past year Drain-EEZ has repaired one of our toilets, replaced another toilet and replaced our kitchen faucet. Pat and his team are extremely professional, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. They always call when they're on the way and have always arrived within the window of time they quoted. Once at our home, they work quickly and efficiently.

These guys are great. I had another plumber come out to address a flooded basement because it was Easter and nobody else was open. They completely botched the job and didn't even address the root of the problem. Pat came in and immediately diagnosed the issue, and solved it within a couple hours. Drain Eez didn't physically come out and do work but that's because he (Pat) solved my problem over the phone and in doing so, saved me $$$..... what customer service! They could have made me pay for a service call, instead he just told me to press a reset button on the machine and turn an allen wrench and shazam it was fixed!!! So helpful. So grateful. Would trust them 100%. Hire them if you need someone!

We've used Drain-EEZ twice now over the span of about 9 months.

First time, Lou came out and replaced our garbage disposal.  It definitely wasn't one of the cheaper quotes that we got when calling around, but they did a stellar job - and Lou took a lot of pride in his work.  He was professional and polite - and very friendly.

More recently, we tried to call Drain-EEZ to fix a leaky tub faucet.  They were slammed all week with frozen pipes, so we called around to some other places.  I had someone come over from My Helpful Plumber and he said that the water shut-off valve in our condo was broken, so he couldn't fix our faucet.. and it would cost A LOT of money to fix the valve. Dang.  Just what we needed.  Well, the frozen pipe issue got to them too, and we never got our faucet fixed.  

Fast forward to 2 weeks later and we called Drain-EEZ again.  I sent them some pics of the water shut off, and Pat said that it didn't look broken - that maybe the handle was loose.  They came on a Saturday to check it out.. and guess what? ... the valve wasn't broken at all.  Lou turned the handle and told me to check the water. Stopped right away.  Don't know why I didn't think to do this myself, but just goes to show how little common sense I have sometimes.  Lou could've said, yea... this thing is super broken - we will need to have it fixed, but NO - instead he was honest.  Something that not very many people are in this line of work.  Building trust is so important for small businesses, and they've earned ours for life.

So Lou fixed our tub faucet and was a pleasure to work with again.  

If you're looking for the cheapest plumber, Drain-EEZ is not it.  But you get what you pay for in life - and we'd rather pay a little more for honest, reliable service, than pay a little less for some sketchy plumber who's only after our money.  Katrina is also really friendly and easy to work with on the phone.  It's nice to deal with nice people.

We would recommend this business to all of our friends and neighbors.  They know what they're talking about and make sure to do their jobs the right way - not the easy way.

I had previously had a different plumbing company come out to work on my condo and was worried that I was being taken advantage of. As a young female who knows nothing about maintenance this is always a concern. After reading all of the reviews on Drain-EEZ I decided to switch to them for future work and I am SO glad I did. Pat came out and was able to fix my plumbing issues for a fraction of the cost with simple fixes instead of complete replacements. He also explained what he was doing so I understood what was going on. If you are looking for honest and knowledgeable help these are your guys! I had bought a new kitchen faucet that I was going to replace myself and then had second thoughts.  I decided to contact Drain-EEZ and they were terrific.  I work in healthcare and I am often not available.  Pat contacted me and I was able to set something up easily and quickly.  I was not able to be there the day of the appointment and had someone available to be there.  He reported that Pat and his son were awesome:  arrived on time, professional, knowledgeable, honest and worth the money.  I paid what he quoted and after he was done I realized that I am glad I had this taken care of instead of doing it myself.  We will be calling them for any future issues.  Thanks Drain EEZ and Pat!

Please forgive me in advance - the assistance I received from Pat of Drain-EEZ today requires nothing short of waxing poetic or rhapsodic praise.  If nothing, I need to just full post appreciation for everything.

A few things, my house is a gut rehab house, the shell is 1890's but the inside is all 2012. However, we've had a weird run with the new plumbing and already had to get to know plumbers on a first name basis. There was flooding in September 2012, pipes freezing in the Polar Vortex of 2013, toilet replacement in the master bath, and etc so we developed a relationship with a plumber and were pretty happy with his work despite his poor phone call return rate.

Our basement toilet has been turned off for MONTHS - because that's what our plumber had recommended IF we couldn't replace it with a higher grade of toilet (he quoted us $650) since in his mind FIXING this inferior toilet (plumbers thoughts not ours) was only a temporary solution. Since we were dealing with leakage on a 4th bathroom (that we never use) that necessitated replacement and with baby bills and an at-the-time out-of-work spouse, 3 other working toilets, and etc we prioritized accordingly and just shut off the water flow.

Long backstory short, I called Drain-EEZ today because I wanted to talk with someone who answered my calls and get my toilet working again. (Mind you this is only after calling former Plumber #1 1x a day for 3 business days trying to get some variation of his recommended fix accomplished),

Pat picked up immediately, and on listening to everything, gave me his mobile number and told me to text him pictures and he'd call me back, saying this may not necessitate us coming out.  If someone's handy they might be able to fix.  Who does that?  Seriously, I find this amazing to a degree I can't even explain.  

I went downstairs, took 3 pictures, texted him and he called back immediately. He walked me through the fix, he stayed on the phone to ensure the fix work, I started CRYING and THEN he talked me through that. I'm usually not a crier but the generosity of a professional who wouldn't take money just because it's easy pickings is a concept that is so honest to goodness rare.

I've been unemployed for 4 months, am planning my daughter's 2nd birthday party, and was concerned because I definitely was going to be paying the $650 the previous plumber quoted to replace a toilet (if I ever got a hold of him).  I can NOT say enough how grateful I am for good people like Pat.

Considering the luck we've had with our plumbing I will be utilizing him often and sincerely look forward to the day when I hand him my cash, check or credit card because I know he'll be better than fair. He'll be good and his work will be excellent.

Pat was quick to reply to our request for service; asked for photos of the issue (sump pump); gave us a quote; communicated about arrival time on the day of service and worked around our schedule; replaced the sump pump expertly and efficiently and cleaned up debris; consulted about an unrelated plumbing issue and gave a quote; charged what he quoted for the work done which is less than other quotes we received; is pleasant, professional, efficient and knowledgeable; gave us guidelines for maintenance; and everything is in working order. Drain-EEZ was SUPER HELPFUL!  I had a running toilet and after the City of Chicago wrote me a letter to say the water was running 24hours a day for weeks (oh thank you City!), I reached out to a few plumbers here on Yelp.  This gem was the only one to respond, and his tips for fixing it were so helpful I was able to repair the toilet myself for $10.  He spent 10 minutes of his busy day to review photos and coach me through some notes, and even promised help over the phone if I needed it.  

Now, I can't promise you other Yelpers will get EXACTLY the same free advice, but I can say that the owner of Drain-EEZ was kind and generous, and he was spot on with the problem and solution, and he's in my phone now for future needs!

Called this morning to see if someone could come out to fix my disposal which would not even turn on and was starting to smell pretty bad.  Pat, who answered the phone sighed and said that he would not be able to have someone out until next week. He then proceeded to ask me if I was home and walked me through fixing the disposal myself, and it worked!!!! Pat saved my kitchen and probably the 350/400 dollars most other plumbers would have charged me to fix it and/or who knows, could have told me needed replacing!!!!!  Pat, you restored my disposal and faith in humanity this morning!!!! You rock!!!!

I had a very quick response when i called Drain-EEZ - They assigned Lou Agosto to us and he showed up promptly within the time period described to me one day later.

Lou very clearly described the problem with my tenants toilet leak. He had photos on his mobile of every problem he encountered due to the previous, and very poorly done, installation. He documented every fix that he implemented and walked me through exactly what he had done and why. In addition the steps were all explicitly documented on the bill for my records.

He finished the work quickly, the price of which seemed very normal to me - and after the installation was done, he took a little extra personal time to generally discuss water quality in the city of Chicago and steps that any responsible home owner should take to protect themselves from waterborne pollutants (important when you own a hundred year old building)

Lou was knowledgable and a pleasure to talk to - I had a great experience. I will be calling these guys again for my next plumbing need.

Pat and his helper Kevin arrived on time November 12, 2018. I asked him to check out the sink drain connection and dishwasher drain connection since I had replaced a hose on the dishwasher drain and a P trap on the left side sink. In the process I thought I may have broken the seal on the sink drain and just wanted him to check my work to make sure there were no other leaks. I also asked him to replace a very short hose on the dishwasher drain that I did not replace but was old.
Pat had to replace my sink drain, the P trap with PCV piping and the exit plumbing from the sink. He also replaced the short piece of hose on the dishwasher drain set up with a different configuration. He checked the plumbing for leaks but we did not turn on the dishwasher. His price was $295 for one hour work parts and labor. When I questioned the charge after he left he agreed to a concession on price of $70.
After he left on Monday my wife turned on the dishwasher and when it started to drain a good amount of water immediately started to come out of the small hose connection. Pat returned the following day and worked on it for about 30 minutes and finally gave up and said I needed to replace the drain hose from the dishwasher and that it was missing a metal end piece. He basically just left and said it was an appliance problem. I called an appliance parts supplier and after explaining what Pat indicated the representative said that the dishwasher did not have a metal end piece on my Bosh dishwasher and that I might have a plumber problem.
With that I went to work on fixing the leak using the same configuration used before Pat started work on it and some plumber tape. After some effort I was able to fix the leak and tested it with a full cycle on the dishwasher. The dishwasher drains twice after wash and rinse and there was no water leaking form the hose. Problem solved
So bottom line Pat did not know how to fix the problem which is surprising given how many years he said he has been doing this. What really was unprofessional was leaving me with the problem and saying it was not his fault and call an appliance repair company. This would have been a one star if not for the concession on price. Pat seems to be okay on the simpler plumbing issues but not on problem cases. More interested in getting on to the next job. I think he is a one man operation so finishing quickly is more important than quality of work. I would not recommend them.

If you want a great plumber at very reasonable prices this is the place and Pat is your man. I had a clogged tub that just wouldn't go down. Tried plunging myself and got black sludge from the drain and still no drainage.  Found Draineez  on yelp and trusted the reviews. Pat came out earlier than expected time (called first for ok) and was done quickly and cleanly! I asked him about some other things and got honest answers, not a snow job to line his pockets. I will be using him for any future plumbing needs. It's great to find an honest and reasonably priced plumber so let's keep him!!!! I know I will!!

These guys are great! They are very responsive and professional. . . they came out and even tried to save me money by suggesting they didn't need to root a drain. While they were right (it was more a precautionary move on my part) I was thankful that they clearly were trying to have me avoid the cost of rooting.

They also recommended a temporary tweak to avoid debris getting into the drain while I await repair.

Would definitely recommend these guys!

I called Drain-EEZ when my garbage disposal chewed up a tiny glass bowl.  I thought it was done for and would need someone to come out.  When Pat heard my issue - he selflessly told me to save my money and he would walk me through fixing it myself.  He told me the tools it would need, where I could find them at the nearest Home Depot, and his cell phone to call him back when I was ready to go to work.  The garbage disposal is running like nothing even happened.  I'm confident Pat's patience and attention to detail would make him the right plumber for any job.

After the initial shock of how much plumbing jobs costs, I shopped around.  I had my new sink hooked up.  Drain-EEZ didn't lie about their pricing and arrive and write some crazy quote like Rocket Plumbing.

Drain-EEZ was great!  Lou came out and was very polite and didn't freak out when my corgi Maggie came and said hi.  He called and let me know when he would arrive.  It was within the estimated arrival timeframe.  

Lou was very knowledgeable and gave great tips on how to maintain my new sink and answered any of my questions.  Drain-EEZ was affordable (by actual plumbers standards) and they didn't blink an eye when I wanted to pay with credit.  Great job!

-Update February 2014-

The sink started leaking.  I called Drain-EEZ and they said they would fix their work no problem.  Lou came back out within a day and fixed it right up.  No charge! :)  Awesome!

I scheduled a plumber with this company because of all the positive reviews and the $49 discount for Yelpers.  The plumber called me on the way to my house to alert me of his arrival, which was during the scheduled block of time that was given. He proceeded to ask me what was the problem that I was experiencing.  I thought that was odd -- didn't the company write down my initial concerns when I called them to schedule the appointment?  We were not able to talk.  So, he arrived unknowing of the issue, which seemed to frustrate him.
When he was able to witness the same problem of water draining from the bottom of the disposal, he simply watched the water leak all over the cabinet.  I had to ask him if he could place the basin under the unit to catch the dripping water to that it didn't make a mess of the cabinet. It was initially under the disposal when he arrived, but he moved it.  I would've thought that it was common sense to collect the water as an initial reaction, but he only watched the water leak.
He told me that he didn't have any disposals available since I didn't tell him what the problem was when he called 10 min prior to his arrival.  And that he passed several stores on the way where he could have purchased one had I told him the issue earlier.  Seriously?  I suspected the problem was a bad disposal.  But I am not a qualified plumber, nor do I deal with plumbing issues every day.
He quoted me $450 to replace the unit, which is OUTRAGEOUS!.  But, he said that if I called his boss, he could probably do something on price.  From experience, a previous replacement of a 1/3 HP garbage disposal was a total cost of $245, including parts.  After my less than stellar encounter with this plumber and outrageous quote, I told the gentleman that I will NOT have my unit replaced.  
He didn't charge me for my visit, which he told me was going to be $35 (maybe because of the Yelp discount, or his frustration, or the fact that I still have a mess under my sink to clean that he made?). I rebutted and told him that I had no problem paying for the visit.  But he kept walking out of the house to leave, stating that it wasn't necessary.
I proceeded to order a new disposal from the manufacturer's website, and I upgraded to a 1/2 HP unit for a mere $54 with discount code.  I am assured that I will be able to find another plumber to install the unit for a fraction of the quoted cost. I would definitely look elsewhere.  I gave 2 stars for his on-time arrival and notification for his arrival.

I had previously used Drain EEZ to unclog my sink a couple years ago. This time, I called Drain EEZ  to remove an old grease trap from our building and to replace an old kitchen faucet that was stuck. They offered to come out the same day I called. My hot water tank wasn't working, and while this is not something they service, Pat was nice enough to talk me through the process of relighting the pilot light over the phone.  He made sure I was understood the directions and was very patient while I worked through restarting the water tank.  I appreciated the honest customer service.

Every time I call Pat and Katrina, they respond quickly and the problem is taken care of. I've used them for small and large concerns; clogged drains, sump pump, ejector pump and leaky faucets problems...etc. I highly recommend them. Pat is great! Came to replace two toilets that i bought from Home Depot. First was fine. Second was found to have a broken base. I had not inspected it when I bought it. Pat said he would return and replace it for me but was too booked. I got it replaced and we thought we inspected it the second time but when Pat arrived, he found a hairline crack in the tank. This time he took it back himself and installed the replacement so i would not be left toiletless upstairs. Three cheers and many stars for Pat. Zero stars for Home Depot which must play demolition derrby with their toilets.

I have a condo in the city, and my tenants had a problem with their disposal unit. I asked them to get a plumber to replace it & send me the bill.

This morning I received an email saying that they called an honest plumber and he was able to walk them through the problem over the phone, which ended up being a minor issue.

I asked my tenants for the info of the company, as I like to give my business to honest people. And it was drain-eez plumbing.

From now on, I'll reach out to these guys first with any kind of plumbing issues my tenants may have going forward.

We called Drain-EEZ for sewer issues. We also had questions about the nature of work that was needed at our house and how the issue could be resolved. Katrina answered some of the questions and had Pat call me for additional help. Pat is a wealth of information that comes from his extensive experience in the field. He walked me through the diagnostic process and was there to give me feedback on every step along the way as the work was completed. All this, despite the fact that we were not able to hire them as they didn't service our neighborhood. Pat went above and beyond to assist us with our sewer issue and to help as much as possible to make sure the plumbers we hired did the job right! He made himself available even late at night and voluntarily followed up with me the next day to ensure the job was completed appropriately. One could only imagine how dedicated and detailed oriented Pat would be for any job they commit to. If they serviced our neighborhood, we would definitely hire them.

Pat is... THE MAN! I had a very crazy plumbing problem with a noise in my wall. It sounded like the worst water hammer I (and even Pat after sending him videos) had ever heard. I thought for sure I would need a plumber to come out. Pat went back and forth on the phone, we traded pics/videos of the problem and he was able to coach me through what I should do to fix the problem. Note: I have never met Pat before or even used his services before.... I found him on yelp and he was the nicest person to go through everything he did to help me solve my plumbing problem (At no cost!!!!). It has been 3 weeks since Pat talked me through the fix, and I have not heard the noise in my wall since. If I ever have a need for plumbing service, or find someone that does near the Chicago/North area, I will immediately refer them to Pat!

My sister and I are upgrading the bathrooms in our condo. Some of the things we're doing are raising the showerhead and installing a rough-in so that we may use one lever to control both hot and cold water. After we tore out the existing tile and drywall, we had Lou come out to make the necessary adjustments. We found a random valve behind the master bathroom shower that didn't belong there and removed it. After doing so, that night we realized that it was for our ice maker in the kitchen. Needless to say both Lou and Pat came back out within the next 48 hours to take a look and fix it.

Thanks to them, the plumbing is now up to code and we don't have to worry about an incorrectly installed copper pipe leaking and bursting, causing thousands of dollars in damage. These guys are not only SUPER nice but honest and worth every penny. We're already planning on having them help again with the guest bathroom. Thanks Lou and Pat!!!

We were dealing with a problematic garbage disposal unit that simply refused to turn on. I called Drain-EEZ Plumbing hoping they could send someone over, and had the best service experience ever.

The problem with the unit was essentially diagnosed over the phone and I was given a quick walk-through about how to troubleshoot on my own. I can't say how grateful I am for this! Someone else would almost likely have charged us $100-$200 to fix what turned out to be a five-minute problem. But Drain-EEZ turned me into a customer-for-life. Next time we have any problem whatsoever, these are the only folks I'm going to call!

Legit.  Scheduling was pain free.  They offered to have Pat (plumber) call me with estimate of cost before-hand, which he did.  On day of service Pat called ahead with exact arrival time, which was within service window provided.  Disposal replaced and two toilets rebuilt in about one hour's time.

I'd recommend to anyone in the area.  It's that simple.

I live in a garden unit condo.  The ejector pump died Friday night during the Cubs game.  I called Pat at Drain-EEZ after 10p, and he immediately picked up the phone.  He ran thru some questions, told me not to use the water until he got there, and scheduled an appointment the next day between 10a-noon.  He arrived at 10:30a... Which, in my opinion, was early!  He officially diagnosed the problem, left to get a new pump, and had it all installed before noon.  He and his partner, Jeff, even cleaned up the mess before leaving.  Pat has been doing this for forty years and definitely knows his stuff.  I would recommend Drain-EEZ to anyone in need of plumbing help.  Plus, they take checks and credit cards, which is handy for an unexpected issue.  I am not easily impressed with service, but I was definitely impressed with Pat.  He saved the day!

Pat is the first honest plumber we've dealt with in this city.  We called Drain-EEZ after having two other plumbers examine our bathtub over the course of four years.  The first ones charged us hundreds of dollars to snake the drain, didn't fix the problem, and told us we had to entirely re-do our condo's plumbing in order to get the tub to drain.  A second plumber offered a similar diagnosis of our non-draining tub, only by his assessment we only had to partially replace the plumbing.  Pat was skeptical of these accounts over the phone, came by with his kinetic water ram and fixed the drainage issue in 5min.  And charged less than either of the other plumbers to do it, by the way.  We've since employed him to replace a leaking faucet as well, with similar great results.  Pat does quality work, won't hesitate to tell you if your idea isn't a good one, and we appreciate his honesty.  And having hired a lot of plumbers, his rates are on-market, but we'd pay a premium for the honesty.

So, this was my first time having to hire a plumber.  Honestly, I was dreading it, but Drain-EEZ exceeded any expectations and hopes I had for the experience.  I live in a 110-year-old building which comes with both the charms and inconveniences of vintage construction.  Saturday night I experienced one of the bigger inconveniences:  deteriorating plumbing.  My kitchen sink had been draining slowly for some time, and I'd been throwing Drano down the pipes left and right.  Finally, the sink just said Screw you and quit draining altogether.  I decided to take a shot at playing plumber.  2 trips to Home Depot and 5 hours later, I'd replaced the jury-rigged piping underneath the sink (it's pretty appalling what can build up in your pipes over time) and made that not part of the problem.  What was still a problem was that the waste pipe was still clogged, and the clog was well past what I could reach.  Enter Drain-EEZ.  

Monday morning I turned to Yelp to see who I could find to help.  I called two places and left messages and requested quotes via the link on the Yelp pages of two others.  Pat at Drain-EEZ was the first to respond (within 20-30 minutes).  I explained the problem and told him i hoped to have someone come out the next day when I could be home.  I also advised I had a new faucet and disposal I was intending to install, but as long as someone was coming out, I'd like to have that done as well.  He said no problem and gave me his estimate.  

Tuesday afternoon, Lou showed up during the window Pat gave me.  He came in, took a look at what I had and what I wanted done and got to it.  His approach was methodical and efficient, and the end result was everything I'd hoped.  Faucet installed, works great.  Disposal installed, works great.  Waste pipe rodded, jury-rigged pipes reconfigured, and the sink drains like a champ.  I have a sink-mounted filtered water spigot, and when doing the sink install I had to decide between keeping that or installing the integrated soap dispenser I wanted to use.  Lou helped me find a great solution, and I'm having him come back out in the next week or two to implement that.  Oh, and he also showed me the best way to clean a stainless steel sink (toilet bowl cleaner, who knew?) so that there wasn't such a discrepancy between my old sink and my new faucet.  

In short, I will have absolutely zero hesitation about calling Drain-EEZ the next time I have a plumbing issue.  Responsive, great results, and the final charge was within the range quoted by Pat.

I had a clogged-up toilet - how embarrassing and gross - so I gave these guys a call. Lou came out in the given time, and treated me with as much respect as the Pritzkers, taking his shoes off at the door. I remember the last time a landlord had called in a plumber in a previous place, the guy left a mess of the bathroom. Lou, on the other hand, had the toilet unclogged in under a minute, then sat there and CLEANED up the whole toilet area while chatting with me! Jeez! What an awesome guy!

And to top it off - they're doing work on the water main here, so Lou took a look at our kitchen sink, which had no water pressure, and crawled behind our washing machine to clean out junk that came up into our pipes from the construction outside. He even showed me how to clear out the taps in the sinks so I can do it myself later.

Then I'm ready for a big bill - which I was happy to pay - but Lou only charges me for the toilet, which was still a steal. You better BET I'm calling these guys again if I have any plumbing issues! Thanks Lou!

These are the types of businesses that last. Those that have integrity and are honest! My garbage disposal stopped working 2 months ago and I was so frustrated that I avoided calling anyone because I was afraid of how much it would cost. Gave them a call yesterday and a young lady on the phone told me what the problem could be. She instructed me to reset my disposal and wiggle some thingamajig in the hole because something might have been jamming the wheel. Well, just got home from work and I took her advice. Guess what?! It worked! I'm so grateful and appreciative because being a homeowner can become a bit much at times. Thanks for helping me to save my dollars y'all!!! At about 8pm, on a Thursday, 2 brilliant gals decide to pull their dishwasher out of its place to clean behind it.  Of course, a tube underneath it starts to leak immediately.

Unfortunately, this was my story last night.  I panicked and went to Yelp immediately, looking for a 24 hr. plumber.  I got in touch with someone from Drain EEZ and they were super friendly, easy to talk to, and walked me through how to shut the water line off.  They offered to come the next day which was great!

OK, so I didn't actually get my slow flushing toilet fixed by these guys. However, when I called for a quote, I described the problem I was having with my toilet and the person on the phone suggested that I may need the fill valve replaced. Not having the faintest idea of what that meant, I googled it as soon as I got off the phone. I was able to find an easy tutorial to follow and fixed the toilet on my own the same day. Lou was thorough and provided all the solutions to our problems and did a good job retrofitting the existing plumbing to ensure if these faucets cracked again that they wouldn't leak into the building.  I would recommend and use them again.

Drain-EEZ (Pat, Katrina and Lou) were SO awesome to work with.  We just went through a full floor replacement and construction in our condo because of a leak that 5 professionals could not figure out where it was coming from. After going through the renovation, we were still finding water problems even though the contractor was supposed to have taken care of the issue during construction. I found Drain-EEZ and called them because of the amazing Yelp reviews and they were INSTANTLY helpful.

Pat talked me through some options and pricing in the evening which calmed me down. Katrina was super helpful the next morning and super nice about scheduling someone to come in ASAP. I called in about 30 minutes ago regarding my broken garbage disposal. I ask the gentleman who answered the phone if they could send someone over so I could continue about my business and finish washing my dishes.

He asked me what was wrong with it and I said that the garbage disposal is making a buzzing sound and he told me that it was just jammed. He then told me what I needed to do to fix it myself and save $150. Amazing.

I don't know who that guy was, but I kind of want to call him anytime I need anything fixed.

I cannot recommend Drain-EEZ highly enough. Our sump pump malfunctioned during a rainy spring week and I called Drain-EEZ to see if they could help. Katrina was extremely helpful and was able to put me on the schedule for later that day - even going the extra mile to ask for a photo of the current pump so the plumber would be prepared before arriving. Lou called on his way to the house and we talked through the issue, and he stopped to get a new pump on the way - saving having to make another trip out for the pump later. These folks are efficient! Lou was a true professional. He explained why the pump burned out and also the steps he was taking to prevent this from happening again. He also rerouted some piping to improve the sump pump system and take the load off the pump. As a total bonus he also offered some really creative ideas about how our in-floor heating system could be improved, based on his years of experience.

I will definitely go to Drain-EEZ for all plumbing help in the future!

I am very pleased with the service we received today from Pat and his assistant.

I called yesterday to report an unpleasant smell related to our plumbing system.  They came out this morning and seemed very polite and professional.  They carefully examined the entire plumbing system to identify the source of the problem.

Pat was able to figure out the issue and resolve it quickly, at a very reasonable price.  He also took the time to explain the details behind the problem and provide tips about how we can address it in the future if required, without the need for another service call.

I had a leak with my toilet that I tried to fix myself, but ran into some questions and thought I needed to have a plumber help with the issue (Wax seal failed).  I called Drain-EEZ on Sunday at noon, expecting to get an answering service, but was greeted by a plumber (from the other reviews, his name was probably Pat).  The plumber talked me through what I needed to do free of charge and even told me that I could call him back if I had more questions.  If I ever have any other plumbing needs, I'm definitely going with Drain-EEZ.  Not many people would help free of charge on a Sunday.

I came home to a wet ceiling and figured there were some issues in my upstairs bathroom.  I talked to Pat on the phone and after talking, we diagnosed it as a wax ring.  Having told him I had done this before, he said you might as well save $276 on me coming out and give it a try  yourself.  If you need any help along the way, give me a call back.  I indeed had to call back one more time and he guided me through and I fixed (hopefully the problem).  When I for real need some help, I know who I will be calling first.  Pat, thank you for your help today!  Wish I knew what you looked like in case I ran into you at Epcot so I could buy you a beer or two!

I've worked with Pat and Lou three times now and while I hate having to call them (who wants to have plumbing issues?), I'm always glad I did.

I'm a small time landlord who owns a couple 2-flats in Chicago that are over 100 years old and the most painful thing about property of that age is plumbing.

Building #1, Issue #1: A water leak from the second floor unit bathroom into the first floor bathroom ceiling. Lou came out and discovered that the second floor toilet was leaking and not properly mounted. He replaced the wax ring and as a bonus discovered why the tub wasn't draining properly. During the process, Lou explained everything he was doing and shared stories about nightmare plumbing jobs he's seen in his career. Not only is this a guy I completely trust with my plumbing issues, he's the kind of guy you'd like to have a beer with as well.

Building #1, Issue #2: The sink from the second floor bathroom had a drain leak that hid itself until we tore open the ceiling of the first floor bathroom to remediate the mold caused from issue #1 above. Lou came out again and fixed this leak, replaced supply lines that were installed completely incorrectly, and did a preventative re-plumb of the tub drain to ensure nothing could possibly leak again. The supply lines leaked a bit after the job was complete, but   Lou came out again and fixed it at no charge ASAP. I really want to emphasize this. Another company would have taken their time coming out or would have found a way to charge me for the repair. Lou came out to fix it immediately and did not charge us for the visit.

Building #2: This issue has been giving me nightmares since I purchased the property in summer 2015 and Pat (the owner) is the only plumber who took the time to really think about a solution. The previous owners used a handy man to design the plumbing of a unit where multiple drains were tied together improperly. This made rodding next to impossible because the rod would come up in different drains rather than going down the drain. Other plumbing companies wanted to charge me $288/hr (AFTER a referral discount) to open walls JUST to see what they could see. Think about the additional expenses I would have had after that: additional plumbing costs, drywall repair, tile repair, etc.

Pat came by and thought about the problem, conducted different drain experiments, and ultimately tried rodding through a different fixture with a heavier rod. He was able to get to the drain and was very thorough about testing the various drains as the rodding process was taking place. After the problem looked resolved to me, he kept rodding the line until we saw a healthy flow of water in my catch basin. A previous plumber had me run a faucet, checked the catch basin, and concluded that my sewage didn't run to it because he didn't see water entering the basin. WRONG. He didn't see flow because it was so badly clogged! Only Pat took the time and effort to diagnose and fix the problem.

These guys are great. They're not cheap, but don't expect them to be. If you want someone to care about your problem, you should expect to pay them for their thoughtfulness and expertise.

I can't say enough great things about Pat. We live in a very old building and we often have plumbing issues. This time around, it was a clogged sink, a clogged bathtub and a toilet that was not draining properly--all at the same time. Pat arrived within the scheduled window and got started right away. He explained the source of each issue and fixed all three with lightning speed and for a reasonable price. One of the highly rated handymen I found on yelp ended up doing a subpar job on a simple kitchen faucet installation.  I'm not remotely skilled in this area, but from what I understand, such a task for someone who IS skilled in this area should have been simple.

The handyman's lack of expertise actually triggered a bunch of other things with our antiquated plumbing system.  So I had to call a real plumber to come out to fix our plumbing issues and try to correct the original installation.  I called a place we used last month for a gas leak.  They're fantastic, but they're really expensive.

So I called Drain-EEZ for a price comparison.  I spoke to Pat on the phone and outlined the issues with the water leaking under my sink.  Based on our conversation, he was able to give me a general range.  The high end of the range was still cheaper than the first quote I got so we were able to schedule for the next day.  

He came out the next day with another plumber.  The water leak issue was repaired fairly quickly.  The original installation of the kitchen faucet was royally ungood.  Pat outlined our options and we're going to live with it for now.  I definitely recommend Drain-EEZ.  

Don't use a handyman for plumbing issues.  They're cheap for a reason.  They're probably great for hanging photos or putting together stuff from IKEA. But for even basic plumbing tasks, save yourself the aggravation and use an actual plumber.

I admit I had to leave the house. The thought of dealing with a crazy clogged kitchen sink and plumbing issues made me run screaming to Starbucks for a flat white. However, I did the legwork - found Drain-EEZ on yelp and had my husband follow up with the appointment. I came home to a clear kitchen drain, useful information, and a happy husband who found Lou interesting and an all around good guy. The price was super reasonable, too! I will be giving Mr. Lou a call for some other plumbing issues in the near future now that my plumbing phobia has been quelled.

We moved to Chicago in late summer and bought a house, and immediately had tons of issues we had to hire people to fix. The joys of being a homeowner. We had issues with our kitchen sink not draining and our garbage disposal making a crazy noise when it was on. We called Drain EEZ, and they were really nice and quick to come out. We found out that our kitchen pipes were completely corroded through (awesome none of this was caught during our home inspection!), which they fixed and replaced. They also fixed the issue with the garbage disposal and clogged drain. They were a reasonable price, and very informative with what they were doing.  We'll definitely hire them again!

Call them at 8am and by noon they were at my door, very professional and friendly, fixed my drain in 20 min but stayed to make sure it was fixed.  this is a pluming job so it can get messy but they cleaned up what ever mess was made.  Hope I never have the need to call them again but if I ever do you can be sure I will call Drain-EEZ

We've used Pat at Drain-EEZ a couple of times for plumbing repairs as well as for a backed-up drain in our building (with lots of old pipes). We've been very pleased with his professionalism and his thoroughness in explaining what he's doing and why. Also attentive in communication prior to the repairs. Definitely recommend.

They claim city wide service, but apparently not...South Loopers forget about it.  According to a rep just spoke with, Drain-EEZ does not service your part of town.  Just a point of note to the company...the City of Chicago does not cease to exist south of the Loop. The search for emergency plumbing service continues.

Pat is great!  My sink was backed up and the garbage disposal was making bizarre noises, so he asked me run it so he could listen to it on the phone, then he told me to fetch my plunger and walked me through how to loosen the blockage and get the garbage disposal working again.  10 minute phone call, for which he didn't get paid anything, and my problem is fixed! And he was really cool and helpful, helping me resolve a simple problem for free- on a Sunday.  

I found him on Yelp by his great reviews and they are well deeserved.  I'll use him again if I have a more serious problem.

That awful moment when you notice the water start to build up in the bathtub.  You think to yourself, It will start draining again, no worries.  But the worries do come and the tub does begin to fill with more and more water until your showers are now a bath for your feet and ankles.  Of course, everyone you talk to is a plumber.  Try a hanger. Try drain-o Try using an auger and a plunger.  We tried all of this remedies to no avail, only furthering our plight by filling up our bathtub with black ooze from the depths of hell.  I got off work tonight at 4:30.  I called Pat the plumber hoping a professional plumber who is well versed in the intricate cruelties of plumbing could save us.  By 6 pm our sink and tub were flowing better than ever.  

Thanks to Pat and Jeff, I can shed this stench that has plagued my body for the past few days(having the tub clog up on Christmas Eve was impeccable timing) and shower my body in delightful goodness.  Stop trying to do the plumbing yourself and get Pat the Plumber.  Guy is honest, fast and efficient with over 30 years of experience!

I have to start out by saying that our plumbing issue wasn't actually fixed or serviced by Drain-EEZ because they had a scheduling problem due to one of their plumbers being sick that day, so I had to call another company to come by.

When that company quoted me a very high number (after they had attempted to fix the issue but needed to bring another machine to our unit for the final resolution), I called Drain-EEZ back to get a second opinion.  The customer service rep, Katrina, was extremely helpful and had one of her plumbers, Pat, call me right back to talk through what was going on and give me a better idea of what services were required and how much I should be getting charged. He confirmed that the other plumbing company needed to perform the service they had quoted me, but he also confirmed that it seemed on the expensive side and talked me through how to navigate the conversation with the other company.  I will definitely be using Drain-EEZ for any plumbing issues we encounter in the future based on the honesty and top notch level of service I received today, even without spending a penny with them.  I'm confident that they would be fair, honest, and do a good job on any and every job.

I had a clogged kitchen sink and very slow draining shower. I called around 7:30am and got a call back within an hour. The customer service person was able to set up a visit same day and she was very nice. Pat came out and was able to fix both issues in very little time. He also pulled out some old metal spring system in the shower that was now an unneeded part of this old house we bought. I had several other questions that he answered and gave me pointers. Called Drain-EEZ for a clogged kitchen sink.  The woman who answered the phone at the office was pleasant and let me know Pat (Plumber) would be calling me shortly to confirm his arrival time.  About 5 minutes later, Pat called..and about 20 minutes after that he was at my front door.  

Would highly recommend Pat.  Great guy and a skilled plumber.  Took care of my clogged drain issue quickly and professionally.  Would not hesitate to contact him again.

Not a big deal for me, but worth noting that they do not accept credit cards.

Pat is wonderful!  I called around 1:00pm today, and my call was answered promptly by the office. After explaining my serious tub drainage issue, I received a call back from Pat within 30 minutes and he was at my place one hour later!

While he was working he took the time to show me what he was doing at each step, and he explained the damage that was being caused by the drain opener our building's maintenance had been pouring in for clogs over the past three years (the acid was eating away at the pipes, and the rot was causing more damage and clogging).  Another 30 minutes later, and the drain was unclogged and my shower is usable again.  

So happy to find such a wonderful plumber in Chicago!

My experience with Pat at Drain EZZ was nothing short of an exceptional one.  After business hours we noticed a leak in our kitchen faucet and made a phone call to Pat.  He walked us through turning off our water and assuring that everything would be ok until the next day when he could come for an appointment.  He would've came that night, but felt confident we had the situation under control.
Katrina made scheduling convenient and was extremely quick to follow up.  When Pat arrived he was able to identify the problem within minutes!  We needed a new faucet, which we didn't have at the time.  He offered to go pick one up for us, but we opted to save him the trip.  He advised us on the right faucet to get and came back two days later and had the problem fixed right away!
Not only did Pat help us with our faucet, but he also went out of his way to answer a few other questions about the hot water heater and toilets.  We had a clog in our toilet and instead of making us schedule another appointment, he fixed it on the spot.
Pat and all of his staff at Drain EZZ are a pure delight to work with and I would recommend them to ANYONE in need of ANY plumbing issue.

He was hard working and a wealth of information. Pat did an excellent job. Had a bath/shower clog. The clog happened late Thursday and I was happy to see that Drain-EEz was open this late (tried several others and only got an answering machine). The receptionist was very friendly/helpful and got me setup instantly (didn't have to go through an automated system at all).

Pat arrived right on time. He walked me through the issues I was having with the shower drain and ran through possible causes, steps to fix the clog, and how to prevent future issues.

Pat did a great job and couldn't be happier with Drain-EEZ. Thanks for the last minute help.

I scheduled an appointment to get a very slow shower drain taken care of, and Lou came the next day. He called ahead of the appointment time, as had been arranged so I could leave work to meet him, and the timing worked out perfectly. I called because my garbage disposal was not working. I called and the person I spoke to calmly talked me through how to reset it and get it working. I was not a repeat customer -- had never spoken to anyone at the company before -- and they saved me all of the cost and hassle of having someone come out to look at the disposal. Pat and his team were very professional and most importantly did a great job installing a toilet flange and replacing the wax ring on our toilet. The plumber (or contractor) who previously installed the toilet did it completely wrong. It wasn't set right and leaking sewer gas. Pat fixed this and also installed a new rubber flapper (for free). He also gave me some tips to replace the leaking toilet shutoff valve so I was able to do it myself as opposed to having to pay to do it. This saved me $$$. I'd recommend Pat and Drain-EEZ to others.

Wow! Our sink was leaking and I called Drain-EEZ and talked to Pat. He asked a few questions, then asked if I would mind walking over to my sink. He guided me to a simple check and it immediately fixed our leak. This was all over the phone, no charge. I called Drain-EEz today about a clogged garbage disposal, after listening to my issue on the phone, the gentleman on the other end of the phone diagnosed and let me know how to fix it myself.  And even offered for me to call back if it didn't work out.  5 min trip to the store to get the part, and it was fixed, saving me $$ from calling a plumber.  Awesome service in my opinion as he really didn't have to do that!

This review is long overdue. I bought a condo about a year ago. It's a duplex down. The unit had an ejector pump on the lower level that I didn't know was already 7 years old when I moved in with my family. So, it was ready to give up on us. When it finally did, I hopped on yelp to search for a plumber. Of course, after seeing the consistent 5 stars for Drain-EEZ and their location (not too far from us), we had to go with them. What I love about the manager and this company is that they're pretty fast to get out to you. And I love that it's family owned.

The manager is straight forward, knowledgeable, considerate, and extremely fair. It DID hurt our pockets that we had to replace the pump, but, the price for the pump and labor was fair. After he replaced the pump not too long passed before the pump stopped working. We called Drain-EEZ and again they got to our place in good time. (I think early the next morning.) When they checked out the problem, we came to find out baby wipes were being flushed down the toilet. For those that don't know, that's a no-no. The pump got tangled up in the wipes. Wipes don't break down. After paying, I'm thinking, boy, I hope this pump doesn't become a problem.

I should note, I have a 3 year old and a 6 month old. The 3 year old is now potty trained and goes in the bathroom on his own. He sleeps in the lower lever with us. So we have to watch what goes down the toilet.

About another month passes before the pump stops on us again. This is actually this morning when it happens (Dec 31st). The pump is only 3 months old and we've been having issues with it it seems like every month. It's not cheap, but, thank God Drain-EEZ is our plumber. The manager remembered us, of course. The family that got the wipes tangled on the pump. Well, they check out whats wrong and find something like a string from a mop or a shoe string. It gets sucked up the pipe before he can catch it to show us. The second thing he finds is that the pump is hot. Not good. that means the oil that turns the gears has been working overtime. that's bad if we want to keep the life of the pump in good health. Anyway, it's a week after Christmas. We spent a ton on gifts and it's new years eve. we really don't have the money to be shelling out for this, but, I'm just thankful they were able to show up in such short notice. Before I can ask how much do we owe you, he (i think the manager's name is Pat) says, you know what?I know we were out here a couple of times in the passed 3 months. You guys have a happy New Years. He didn't charge us for his time, and we're having a Happy New Years.

I was pleased with the service that Pat gave me. He was scheduled to come after 12 noon, but called me at 10 and said he could come earlier. I'm glad he did. I've owned my home for 20 years and have dealt with other plumbers. In talking with Pat, he seems experienced and very knowledgeable in comparison to other plumbers that I've used.. He was able to work around my antiquated plumbing set up  and unclog my tub drain. Pat also gave me an estimate on a few other plumbing issues I want to tackle this year. I'm willing to do business with Drain-EEZ again. The only issue I have with Drain-EEZ is that they are a little more expensive than 2 other plumbers I called.

I read the yelp reviews and chose these guys to rod out a slow drain. BIG MISTAKE! Lou got his rod stuck in the drain pipes and spent 3 hours trying to get it out. He tried to tell me that it was the pipes' fault- that there was some creative plumbing which was the problem. ( My old 2-flat has had NO changes to the original cast iron since it was built.)  He never did get it out---- and what was worse is that the next day, Pat and another guy came out and tried to violently yank the cable out. Even that didn't work and they had to cut the cable, leaving it in the vent pipe. The yanking caused leaks which developed a day later ( Though they insist not). The wanted to charge me $2800 to replace the pipe and fix the leak!
My handyman and I found the leak and discovered how the yanking caused it. We fixed the whole thing for $150.

Another plumber just didn't do the quality job we needed and expected, considering we were dealing with a toilet problem and we live on the third floor!  We called on a Sunday and Lou made it over Tuesday morning.   My wife and I were impressed by the thoroughness of his work and especially his insistence on creating the most secure (wax) seal high up around the flange.  Additionally, Lou was able to wedge in some pieces to make the toilet extremely secure, even on an uneven tile floor.  The price we paid was definitely fair, especially considering his lengthy visit.  We rarely call plumbers, but when we do, we prefer Drain-Eez.

I messaged Drain-EEZ and got a reply in minutes from Pat. Before coming out to my apartment he tried to help me fix the issue I had with my toilet over the phone. When that didn't work he was able to come out with a helper the next day. They got in and out very quick and were very friendly. Pat was the fastest to respond through my yelp quotes about needing a new garbage disposal.  I mentioned in my quote I lived in a high rise.  He said they do not service high rises but still called me.  He offered some advice saying the disposal may not be broken despite what my maintenance man said.  I also mentioned I was renting my unit out and he even volunteered to have my tenant call him to walk her through how to fix.  This deserves 6 stars.

Pat and his crew are awesome. We've had them at our place to deal with two separate sink issues, and they did great work both times. Pat makes sure to take the time to really fix the problem, explain to you what went wrong/what he did, and give you advice on how to avoid similar problems in the future. Additionally, he charges a fair price for your work. Unlike other plumbing companies we've used in the past (e.g., Apex Plumbing), Drain-EEZ Plumbing does quality work for a fair price, and I highly recommend them for anyone with plumbing issues!

We had a huge issue that we kept holding off on due to expecting it to cost an arm and a leg.  We eventually called Drain-EEZ because of all the positive reviews.  They sent Lou who was incredibly helpful.  He fixed our shower for half the price that we were quoted by another plumber.  He even gave my wife some helpful information on how to prevent further issues.  There is a reason why these folks get such positive reviews, we will use them again if any other  work needs to be done in our condo.

I live in a condo unit in a mid-rise, and have had a recurring issue with the toilet for the past few years. It leaked around the base, and I had the building maintenance guys come up and fix it a few times. Unbeknownst to me, not only were they not fixing the problem, they were doing things wrong and making the problem much worse (stripping threads, over-tightening to the point of cracking, etc). Finally, I decided to get a real plumber in to look at it.

It's scary enough inviting a complete stranger into your home, but Pat and his apprentice were both very friendly and started working immediately. Pat explained every option I had, showed me the damage that was done, and was able to give exact figures for how much each option would cost.

The worst moment was when he showed me how maintenance had broken a small component in a $380 part, that he couldn't get it out and as a result, I might have to buy a whole new one. He could so easily have taken advantage of me at this point, since I know nothing about plumbing and would never have known the difference. Instead, he went out of his way and drove across town to get the broken part extracted.

Overall, it took him 3 hours to fix the toilet, so the labor charge was more than I had planned (because it took longer than expected - NOT because his rates were bad). As a naive, sometimes clueless, new home owner, I'm so thankful for Yelp to assist me with my researching needs. Once again, they did not fail, filtering the marketing glitz n glamour for true, crowd-sourced recommendations/testimonials.

Drain-EEZ was one of the top tiered companies that populated under my zip-search for plumbing. After reading glowing review after glowing review, I gave them a call to discuss my issue - older home (1953) purchase with all drains draining very SLOW. Got an appointment scheduled for that Friday (06/06/14) and was expecting a simple estimation process. Pat came in, diagnosed the issue and quoted a very fair price. When asked when they'd be available to schedule the actual maintenance, his reply was he could run out to the truck and start now. As Kramer would say (Seinfield), Giddy-up

Pat and team completed 6+ drains in roughly an hour and a half, cleaning up to make it look even better than the way they found the area. Pat is a traditional Chicago-guy, real straight shooter, who knows what he's doing. As we wrapped up the transaction, I was so impressed I kicked out conversation on two projects I'd be looking for his support on in the near future.

I had Pat and another guy come out to fix a backed up bathroom - toilet, tub and sink were all backed up. They came out promptly and fixed the issue but charged me a crazy amount : 350 to snake the stack and another 300 to pull the toilet. So $650 for an hour's worth of work. I felt scammed afterwards but was desperate to get the bathroom working again. A couple of months later, which brings us to today, here I am with everything backing up (obviously a larger issue with the stack in my old house). Luckily my plumber had time to come fix, charged a reasonable amount and also let me know that the previous plumber (Pat) used putty to seal toilet instead of proper toilet seal - the current back up leaked into the coved ceiling of my dining room on the first floor. Not only expensive, they took a shortcut which caused a very costly issue to repair.

We had a fabulous experience with this company. Our ejection pump broke, leaving sewage backing up in our basement. They came almost immediately, assessed and correctly diagnosed the problem and had it fixed quickly that day. They were careful to avoid leaving a mess in the house and gave us advice on getting the smell and preceding mess out of there. I would highly recommend them for their diligent, professional, prompt work.

So I was running to the airport when a leak springs in my sink.  I didn't have time to assess the leak so quickly shut off water valves under the sink and took off.  I called Drain-EEZ based on yelp reviews, but truth be told, I was sold on how personable Katrina was.  No pitch no hard sell just friendly and courteous.  She said she could have a plumber for me on the day that I arrived back to Chicago from my trip.  I called a few more places, but couldn't get past how awesome Katrina was on the phone.  Called back and scheduled the service. Lou showed up on time, quickly diagnosed the problem, and fixed it.  He took his time in installing the new faucet fixture I had purchased as a replacement.  Faucet was one of those newer ones with touch sensors on it and Lou made sure it all worked great.  He gave me some helpful tips with water, sink, and the disposal unit.  Fantastic guy and great service all around.  Highly recommend.

I contacted Drain-EEZ on Sunday to schedule an apt. for Monday thinking no-one would answer the phone and to my surprise someone picked up on the second ring. My drain was clogged and I wanted to ensure it was fixed within 24 hours. They did not disappoint! They set the appointment on the spot for the next day by MY schedule - WOW!!
Pat called and asked if he could come early - OMG early - when has this ever happened with any other service call I thought... That's what customer service is all about!!
I love that not only did Pat want to be on time, but called ahead and was amazingly accommodating though the whole process. This was not my sink issue only, but a building issue, so we worked through the problem and Pat explained everything to me every step of the way.
SUPER helpful, accommodating, nice, and above and beyond customer service which is a refreshing experience!!  I would recommend Drain-EEZ to any one looking for any type of plumbing.

I had a stubborn toilet clog and couldn't dislodge the obstruction with a snake auger. I called and spoke to Pat who said it would be 225 if someone came out on a Sunday so, to avoid the charge, he walked me through what to do and I was able to unclog the toilet and save the 225. I'm very appreciative of Pat's great service and help and will definitely call if I need service in the future.

I contacted a few plumbers to get quotes when my faucet started leaking and I also realized that my shut off valves needed to be replaced. The quote from Drain-EEZ was a little higher than some of the others, but Pat really sounded like he knew what he was talking about on the phone. You get what you pay for! I'm glad I ended up selecting them. I also had a pipe start leaking the morning they were scheduled to come over. Pat and Kevin were able to adapt to the additional work and fix everything efficiently. Turns out part of the problem was that the previous owners had cheaped out on their plumbing work and things were wrong. Pat was also helpful in giving me tips/info. For example, since I told him I plan to remodel the bathroom he told me that all the parts they put in can be reused so I wouldn't get tricked into paying for replacements I don't need when I get the remodel done. So happy everything is fixed and I would definitely recommend them.

Kitchen sink was clogged and not draining. Tried drano and plunging but did not work.  Called Drain EEZ and they were able to rod it out. They also took care of the maze of pipes under my sink. Happy with the work although it was a little on the high end. That said I have tried less expensive plumbers and the experience was not good.

I had Pat and Draineez come out to look at a toilet in my basement. They were able to assess the problem and fix the issue. Pat was honest with me that he had not direct experience with the toilet system but was confident he could fix it since it was still a plumbing issue. This was great to hear and I appreciated Pat being honest with me. needed to have it fixed so I went forward with Draineea. In short they had to order a new pump which was expensive and then come and install it once it the part came in. I was very happy with their work and attention to detail.

When they came to the house to install it there were two people. While installing the new pump and testing it they discovered another issue with the piping behind the wall. A section had become disconnected. Rather than just installing the new pump they tested and fixed this new issue all on the same day. They tested the pump float to ensure the pump was set up correctly and that everything worked. This experience was much better than my previous experience with Roto Rooter. Pat and his team work great to work with and I would recommend them to anyone.

Came home last night to water flooding out of our garage.  Found the source quickly being a burst pipe.  Not many plumbers are open at night but called Drain-EEZ around 9 pm and Pat answered quickly and stayed on the phone, walking us through our problem.  He was so nice and helpful--certainly went above and beyond.  They couldn't get a plumber out last night but that was fine since he instructed us how to get the leak stopped, and Lou came over first thing in the morning.  Lou was just as helpful and professional.  Really glad we called Drain-EEZ--I will certainly recommend to all my friends.

I called them at 8:30 am and they were at my place at noon (an hour before their window).  They were fast, efficient, and got the job done in a little more than a half hour despite the fact that it was a super difficult blockage in a less-than-accessible part of the main drain stack that services my kitchen.  They definitely deserve the praise they get and I'm happy to add my own to that chorus.  I'll definitely call them again next time I need a plumber.

We had three plumbing issues in a condo we just moved into. Drain-EEZ answered the phone in person (no answering machine) and was able to schedule an appointment right away.  The repairman, Lou, was on time and quickly assessed the issues. The constantly running toilet could be repaired, he said, but he advised that given the age and make of it, the repair would be more expensive than what a new toilet may cost. We appreciated knowing this up front and decided to forego the repair and purchase a new toilet in the next couple of weeks, which Lou will be able to install for us when we have it.

The second issue was actually not an issue, as Lou asked a couple of questions and realized we just didn't know how to work the shower!  A quick explanation was all that was needed.

The third issue was a stuck diverter and and disconnected shower head in another bath.  These took a little time to correct, but he not only got everything working perfectly again, he actually CLEANED the parts and added a silicon caulking to ensure against possible leaking.

I told Lou that I had contacted Drain-EEZ because of the positive Yelp! reviews. So when he wrote up the bill, he applied (without me asking) a $49 Yelp! discount that I had missed when looking at the reviews.  So the total for the entire service call, repair, parts, etc. was $160.  I thought this was extremely fair, especially when we got good advice and the bathroom was left CLEANER than before the visit.

We'll definitely be using Drain-EEZ for any future plumbing needs.

** BTW, Lou also offered that if we were to find a new toilet at Home Depot or another store, he would pick it up and bring it to the condo to install to save us having to rent a truck or pay for delivery.

These guys are top notch. After calling around to get quotes to repair my stopped up grease trap, I got in touch with Drain-EEZ. They were honest and upfront about options and pricing from the start and they were able to send Lou to my place the very next day to get the job done.

Lou arrived during the scheduled window and he could not have been more helpful or professional. He took his time and showed me what the problem was. When he finished, he would not leave until my kitchen was clean and looked as though he'd never been there.

I will definately use Drain-EEZ in the future, should plumbing needs arise.

Pat (the owner) fixed our sink like it was his own.  LITERALLY.  We talked about it, and then he did it.  Which is awesome, and seriously, how easy is that?  

I found Drain-EEZ Pluming via Yelp and the reviews were spot on.  I gave them a call on Friday for a non-emergency plumbing issue and they were able to fit us into the Saturday schedule without any issue -- something I was not necessarily expecting, so double points there!

Pat and Jeff arrived promptly (they were even a little early for their appointment window!), worked quickly, and cleaned up after themselves like true professionals.  They took the time to explain what was wrong and helped me to understand my options/costs so that I could feel confident that I was making the right decision. In the end, I asked Pat what he would do in his house and followed his advice.  We hope to never need a plumber again, but if we do we will ABSOLUTELY call Pat and his team at Drain-EEZ Plumbing.  

Also, they were really good with our aggressively snuggly dog!  Which is always a huge plus!

I got myself in a bind trying to DIY fix my clogged sink/disposal, which I would later find out was a condo building issue, not a unit issue. I called Drain EEZ and got an immediate response from Pat. HE talked to me on the phone and we tried to schedule an appt for the next day, but my work schedule would only allow me to be there when they were already booked. Pat actually led me though all of the steps to fix my drain myself (which didn't work out), and then referred another plumber that I could call to see if they could come the next day. Even though I didn't actually have them come, I feel like I should have paid for all of the plumbing advice and help late at night! He even responded to my texts from the hardware store with pictures of different wrenches. Thank you, Pat!

We've used these guys twice.  They do a great job, but the thing I like best about them is their honesty and competence.  They fixed a leaking tub faucet for 1/3 the price of another quote.  The other plumber said we'd have to cut through a wall to fix the problem, but drain-eez just removed the fixture.  Grateful.   Five stars.

I had a problem with a basement toilet overflowing when the upstairs toilet was flushed. I had one plumber out who rodded the drain from the basement to the city main.  Next day problem persisted. Went to Yelp and via high recommendations called Drain-EEZ. On the 15th of November they came out and re- power rodded.  Asked me what the cost of the previous plumber was.  I told him $250 and he replied, well you got a $250 job. I was then given a quote of $595 and I agreed, figuring you get what you pay for. Drain-EEZ rodded the same drain pipes and cleared the blockage - temporarily.  

Today, 37 days later, I calledDrain EEZ and told them the problem was back.  I was told that it was past the 30 day warranty and that it would cost me about half (almost $300) to have them re-rod it. I was told that there might be a problem with  the drain, and that they do not have cameras.  Lesson learned. Suggestion to my fellow consumers:  ask if the plumbing/drain people have cameras and have any other questions ready including length of guarantee. Also regarding such rave reviews on Yelp, I was told that It would be appreciated if I wrote a favorable review. I wonder how many other reviews were solicited?

WOW... Gotta tell you guys that these guys are the greatest .. I was in a bind because I had a problem with my clean out stack as they called it and I called and got Pat and this guys was amazing because although he told me they weren't able to service the southside .. He walked me through what I could do to save my self some money - without me asking btw. He then told me that hey if I ran into any problems to call him and he'd walk me through the situation. You won't find many plumbers or people period nowadays like that .. If I ever were to sell my house and move north etc , I'd use this guy in a heart beat

My master bath tub had been running very slow for over a week. I used numerous types of drano-type products and nothing worked. I called Drain-EEZ around lunch time and there was a plumber at my door at 5pm the same day! Mack (and his son) were friendly, courteous and looked at all my other drains before they left. We needed advice on a sump backup system and I called to get a quote and recommendation. Rather than selling me on a solution that involves having them do work on our system, they gave me a recommendation to simply go out and get a specific generator and do a self-installation. He says it's what he uses on his own house. He did offer to come install it and gave me a quote on the labor, but he also said it's something we can do ourselves and even offered to walk us through it over the phone if we have trouble following the instructions! Pat and his helper recently came by to fix our kitchen sink and toilet. The sink has been backing up for a while and our original thought was to use draino and an inexpensive plumber to fix it. Well you get what you pay for because the last plumber ended up fixing nothing. In fact, Pat noticed that they had put in some pipe pieces in backwards! Unfortunately for us, our problem was a plastic bag that was in our pipes years before we moved in. When it came to the bathroom Pat not only fixed the problem but gave us his honest feedback on purchasing a new toiled which we've been avoiding. Overall we're very satisfied with Pat's work and service. Finding a moderately priced plumber in the city is hard to find-- we'll definitely be using Drain-EEZ again.

Great service, great turn around time. Simply yelped plumbers in my area and this search led me right to drain-eez who took care of me very quickly. Spoke with someone around 10, they could get someone to me by 1, but i had to come from work so the plumber patiently waited for me to arrive at my building. I feel like this place ripped me off.  I had them come out to fix a leaky faucet and toilet not filling up.  The first guy took HOURS and said he couldn't replace the cartridges for my faucet so I would have to get a new faucet.  He did fix the toilet quickly.  I paid $288.  Then the next weekend a new plumber from the same company came out and fixed my original faucet in 20 minutes but I had to pay an additional $150 service fee.  $150 for 20 minutes when I  had already paid $288 the last time?!  I really feel taken advantage of.  If the first guy knew what he was doing with the faucet I would have saved a lot of money and time.  Then as he was leaving he said call us again!  Ha!  Sending out people who don't know what they are doing and making the customer pay for a plumbers lack of knowledge is not going to get you repeat business!

I called Drain-EEZ around 8:00pm expecting an answering machine but was pleasantly surprised to have my call answered.  I told Pat my problem (leaking and broken disposal) and he offered to come out that night even though this wasn't an emergency.  I scheduled an appointment for the next day.

Pat explained that the leaking of the disposal posed a risk of me getting shocked and that the leaking caused the motor to burn out.  He ran out to purchase a new disposal and returned within 20 minutes.  He installed the disposal quickly and most importantly for a reasonable cost (he even gave me a discount for finding him through Yelp).

After having previous issues with expensive large company plumbers, my experience with Drain-EEZ was great.  I also like that I am supporting a family run local business.  Pat takes pride in his job and his business so you know you are getting great service.

Overall, fantastic plumber and highly recommended.

I got a letter from my condo assoc saying that my plumbing was leaking and causing damage in the storage unit below. Lou came out here and within 5 minutes had recognized I was not the root of the problem. He did a write up on the spot for me to give to my property manager (even tried to call them on my behalf) and truly could have not been more professional. On top of all that he was kind enough to silicon my shower fixture free of charge. So my landlord ended up allowing us to hire Drain-EEZ to fix our ejector pump. I tried to book an appointment with them ASAP, but they were very kind in letting me know that no one was available for about a week. While I was trying to contact another plumber for an appointment, I got a call from Pat who heard I was having trouble booking a slot with them, and he found time in the schedule to send someone out the day after tomorrow. Amazing! Lou came right on time, was very friendly, professional, and efficient. He successfully finished the job within a few hours, and we even left home while he finished up in our apartment. I have used them twice , one time right before a holiday weekend. I was sure that I would have to wait until the next week and they came through and sent Lou out to fix my leaking kitchen sink. He did a great job so when my toilet was having trouble I called them again. Lou again was very patient with figuring out the plumbing in my old building and getting the toilet fixed. I believe their pricing is in line with hiring a professional plumber to do work, especially when the job gets done right the first time and gives you no further problems as in my case. Lou with Drain-EEZ is fantastic.  In addition, the staff with whom I spoke with to set the appointment were also wonderful, helpful, and put me as ease.  As new condo owner I really didn't know where to begin in terms of finding a plumber.  I ended up reading a ton of reviews and settled on Drain-EEZ.  The receptionist assured me that Lou knew what he was doing and that he would do a very good job walking me through any issues.  We ended up needing our toilet reset and Lou was great!  I'm glad that I now can check mark having a go to plumber off my list.  Thanks, Lou!

This is a pretty easy 5 star review to write. I found Drain-EEZ on Yelp after discovering our drain had backed up in our laundry room pooling a lot of unpleasant stuff on our floor. Despite being a Sunday Pat was over to our house in a little more than an hour of calling me back to give me an estimate. They had to rod out my sewer line but were able to fix the problem as best they could considering the age of our house. We've had no backups since. The price was fair for a last minute Sunday emergency call and he said he would give me a Yelp discount the next time I call for regular scheduled weekday work. Fast, friendly, and drama free. I would definitely recommend them.

Pat, his wife, and Lou and great.  Had Lou come out to fix a clogged shower drain, and it happened to be while I was getting an estimate from a basement waterproofing company.  Lou took the time to ask me what the recommended and provide his thoughts.  We determined Pat should come out to help with some of the issues.  Pat came out about a week later to install a new sump pump.  Showed up on time, called w/ a headsup, and did great work.  Everyone's a hoot to talk to.  If you need any sort of plumbing service look no further.

The owner of the company, Pat, answered the phone after hours and provided me helpful advice over the phone.  Due to the repair, a visit was needed and Pat worked with me on a time that was convenient for both of us.  He arrived on time, performed the work professionally, went to get a replacement part and even offered some free plumbing advice.  I will definitely call on Drain-EEZ again when I need my next repair.

They could have easily come out and charged me for a service call, but instead, the guy I spoke to on the phone just walked me through what I needed to do to fix it myself. Awesome! Lou was friendly, courteous and meticulous.  He just wouldn't leave until he had it just right.  Not the first  plumber to look at the problem, but the first to get it working the way it was designed.  So long as Lou never retires, these are my go to plumbers and I recommend you to do the same.

Pat came out to look at our drain in the basement that backed up a few days before. He called to say that he can come a little earlier than the scheduled time (which worked out well) and on a Sunday. He listened to what was going on and off into the crawlspace he went. About half hour later, he told us that our drain was clogged and that he had cleaned it out. We were worried that it might have been a bigger problem but Pat put our minds to ease. He answered all my questions and I would not hesitate to call him again for plumbing issues.

Lou came out and inspected a few of our drains, toilets and one leaky faucet. He was very informative and made sure that we purchased the right products. He could have just installed the faucet we bought, but felt bad and said we needed something better. He didn't stand to make any money off of the deal, but he did make sure that we trust him to do the work. We will use his recommendations and get the right products...and then make sure we let Drain-EEZ take care of the rest.

The owner is a good guy, and genuinely seems to care about customer satisfaction. Those two things mean more to a consumer than most businesses know.

I emailed a request for a quote through Yelp and was emailed almost immediately and then called within 10 minutes of posting.  We have backyard drainage issues and a possible hole in our catch basin, and Pat told me that his company doesn't have cameras to diagnose this, but then told me exactly what we need and then gave me a referral.  I will definitely go back to Drain-EEZ for our other plumbing needs in the future.  The level of customer service in a short phone call and quick response rate sold me.

Pat and Jeff are plumbing gods.  After I did something really stupid...too stupid to mention here...Pat and Jeff came in a relieved a lot of stress with professionalism and humor.  If you need a plumber who's honest and gives it to you straight, look no further.  One of the biggest fears as a homeowner is not getting stiffed by plumbers, electricians, etc. because after 1 minute they know if you know anything about their craft and can take advantage.  Not these plumbers.  Great guys.  Thanks Pat and Jeff, you guys are fantastic, but I hope I don't see you again.  I mean that in the highest respect.

Just like all the other reviews have mentioned, they are honest and will actually tell you if you don't need work done.  Pat came out to my place to take care of a leaky shower and low water pressure in another bathroom. After looking at the leak, he told me that we probably have cheap, plastic parts behind the walls and if I wanted it fixed, they would have to break the wall to access and replace the shower cartridge. He said it would be very expensive and did not recommend it because the leak is so minor.  Then he looked at the second shower and made a couple suggestions but again told me there was nothing he could do to dramatically improve the water pressure. He even apologized for having to charge me the $35 to come to the house.  I was glad to pay it purely on his honesty.  When I mentioned the plan to redo the first bathroom in the near future, he alerted me to some of the tricks contractors/plumbers will use to cut corners and to immediately ditch anyone who tries them.  
They didn't do any actual work and was at the house only 30 mins but they left such a positive impression I felt compelled to write a 5 star review.

I had Drain-EEZ come out to my place for a leaking valve under my sink and, unlike most plumbers, they answered the phone when I called, set up an appointment right away, showed up on time, and the plumber who came out (Lou) was extremely thorough and knowledgeable. The drain ended up having a small leak the next day, and Lou came back out to fix that, as well (no charge). This is the third plumber I've used in the past year, and by far the best one!

As I read about on a few other reviews, I can attest that Drain-EEZ Plumbing (especially Pat) was absolutely amazing to work with.  I called with what I thought was a broken garbage disposal and asked him to come take a look.  Pat insisted that he wanted to save me money and would walk me through fixing the problem myself over the phone.  I was excited to tackle the problem myself and quickly ran out to Home Depot to buy the wrench he said I would need.  Once I returned, Pat got right back on the phone with me and listed to the disposal several times as I worked on fixes.  Unfortunately for me, the problem turned out to actually be badly clogged and rusted pipes (not the disposal).  Pat ended up coming out and doing the work we needed on the pipes and was sure to apply a discount for being referred by Yelp.  He even fixed an upstairs bathroom sink before leaving as well.  I'll definitely be referring Pat at Drain-EEZ Plumbing to everyone I know!!

I'm surprised to see all of the 5 star reviews. Called these guys to replace our kitchen faucet. They didn't shut the water off and we had water pouring through the ceiling in the basement. Instead of offering to fix the issue, they just said it will be fine, don't worry about it.  I would look elsewhere for a professional plumber.

I called Drain-EEZ on a Sunday afternoon after I found out that my ejector pump for my condo had failed some time prior. Needless to say, this was a total mess and I needed help ASAP. I spoke to Pat who, although unable to come out that afternoon, due to other emergencies called in before me, took the time to talk me through the basic diagnostics of my problem over the phone. This was after he asked me to take pictures of the valve and text them to him so he could see what I was looking at. Once he confirmed that the ejector pump had indeed failed, he was able to send his partner, Lou, to come out the very next day. Lou was extremely professional, courteous and showed me all the things wrong with the original installation of the pump and check valve. He also saw that there was no weep hole drilled into the pipe, and saw that the check valve had also failed. This combination caused a huge pressure buildup in the pipe that essentially killed the pump (which was also a super cheap unit from Home Depot). Lou installed a new top shelf pump, new check valve, fixed the vent pipe (which also was originally installed incorrectly), tested the pump, cleaned up all the overlfow waste water from the floor, and took out the old parts and other trash leaving the place cleaner than when he got there. Yes, the repair was expensive, but it was better than other companies who were going to charge me more money for a cheaper pump.

Lastly, after Lou left, Pat called me to see how the service was and if I was satisfied with Lou's work. I told him the job could not have been done more professionally and that I would absolutely use Drain-EEZ again in the future and recommend them to my friends and family.

I couldn't be more happy with the service Pat and Lou provided and I'm confident that I won't have a nightmare problem like I had before I called them.

You can be confident that your expectations will be exceeded if you go with DRAIN-EEZ.

I chose Drain EEZ based on yelp reviews, and boy am I glad I did!  Our kitchen sink was leaking, and they were able to fit us in the next day (Monday).  They are transparent with pricing, and - while I don't have extensive experience with plumbers - I believe their pricing is fair.  They quickly figured out the problem and communicated in a friendly manner with clarity and professionalism.  I highly recommend Drain EEZ to anyone in need of plumbing assistance!

I would highly recommend using Drain-eez! They were extremely flexible with my appointment time, making sure to come when at a time convenient for me. I asked for same day service and they were very accomodating. The plumber called before heading over and was very friendly. I highly recommend this plumber. He went above and beyond in making sure that our toilet was fixed properly.  We had originally called roto rooters and they could not fix out toilet after coming out 5 times and charging us nearly $1000.  I called Pat, explained to him the situation.  Pat advised me on the proper toilet to buy and had one person come out and install the toilet for half the price of the other company.  And the best part is - it is fixed and working perfectly! Lou is awesome. I had a bad kitchen leak that was literally raining water down into my neighbor's unit. Lou was out the next morning and had it fixed a couple days later. He was prompt, professional, explained everything, super friendly, and his rates were totally reasonable. He quoted me on the higher end, explaining that he hoped it would be lower but couldn't guarantee it (it turned out to be $100 lower than expected). For the past month, my dishwasher has been filling up with water, even when not in use.  I had an appliance repairman out twice who couldn't find the problem, so I called a plumber.  They came out twice as well and the problem continued.  I thought it must be the dishwasher, so had a new one delivered, and within hours, my NEW dishwasher was filling up with water.  I was desperate to find a plumber who knew what they were doing.  I started reading all the rave reviews on Drain-EEZ Plumbing, and even though they are way out of my area, I sent a request for a quote on a Sunday night at 8:00 p.m.  Within 15 minutes, Pat called me, had me send pictures of my plumbing, and called me back to troubleshoot, spending at least 15-20 minutes on the phone with me.  He assisted me with diagnosing the problem over the phone, and let me know exactly what a local plumber needs to do to fix my month long problem.  My only HUGE disappointment...Drain-EEZ doesn't come out to my neck of the woods!  Thank you for calling me back on a Sunday night, Pat!!!!

Our garbage disposal was on the fritz, and we had tried all the fixes you can find online but nothing worked. Called up Drain EEZ and was greeted by the very friendly owner Pat. He offered to try to help us fix it over the phone as others here have suggested. I was dubious considering we had tried everything, but a little WD40 and some extra elbow grease to work the allen wrench and we had the problem solved. For free. Many thanks to Pat. I strongly recommend his services and will be keeping Drain EEZ in mind in the event of another plumbing nightmare.

I am a new-ish homeowner and this was my first experience looking for a plumber.  I found Drain-EEZ on yelp (of all places) and the reviews are good.  Now I know firsthand, the reviews are accurate.  Pat and Jeff came out to fix what I imagined (and hoped) was a simple problem - slow kitchen drain.  Unfortunately, it was a bit more complicated than that (broken pipe, black sludge...you get the picture).  Pat answered all of my questions and prepared me for the worst.  He also said he would understand if I wanted to get another estimate since the price was going up.  I chose not to do that but I was grateful to not be pressured.  They did the job quickly, tested it thoroughly, and went the extra mile as far as cleaning up.  These are professional, honest, nice plumbers...and I got a yelp discount.  Hurray!

I called today for an ejection pump that failed in my basement and had water coming out the floor drain while trying to do laundry.  They said they could be here in one hour.   They were here in less.   They were friendly and got right to work.   The issue was check valve that was broken and clogging the pipe.     He also looked at my sump pump which is not working, he will be back to also fix that.   They are honest and reasonable.   I am thankful to YELP for helping me find them.   I highly recommend them and will let me friends know.

YES!  I love finding out that there is reliable and honest service still available in the city.  When our kitchen sink started to back up my husband and I quickly got to work.  We were pretty sure that we could tackle a little clog.  Well, we thought wrong.  We soon found ourselves searching for a Chicago plumber.  Now we've had our fair share of rip-off service in the city so we were thrilled when Pat from Drain-EEZ Plumbing came to our house on a Sunday afternoon for no extra charge and did an great job!  The first plumber we called quoted us double his normal pay, since it was a weekend, and said that it may take more than one guy to fix the problem.  Pat came in, assessed the situation and 30 minutes later he had our drain fixed.  We will definitely use him for all of our future plumbing needs and we HIGHLY recommend Drain-EEZ!

Based on Yelp reviews I called Drain-EEZ regarding a drain leak in my 2 flat apartment building.  I knew I had a pretty big problem because I had attempted to do a patch repair a couple years prior rather than doing a replacement which I knew would be necessary.  Pat and his brother came out almost immediately on a Saturday and quickly diagnosed the problem.  They gave me an estimate to repair and did all of the work the next day.  They came in under budget and ended up charging me less than the original estimate.

It has been a couple weeks and everything looks like it is holding up.  I would definitely use Drain-EEz again if I have any future issues.

I emailed them at 10pm on Friday night when i noticed a leak in my sink. I did not expect a call back until next day. They called 5 minutes later and scheduled a time next day. They were on time next day and had everything fixed within an hour. They even walked around and checked all of my other plumbing since i just bought this house and was unaware of any other possible problems. They fixed 2 other issues that they found. Great service!

I called Drain-EEZ with a sewer gas leakage problem and within two hours Pat and his brother were at my door. Pat discovered a blocked drainage pipe leading out of the house and quickly went to working on a very dirty job removing by hand the black gold from my clogged drainage pipe in the basement.

Once the drain was un-blocked we realized there was a much bigger project to be done in order to cap off the ancient pipe fitting. I told Pat I hadn't planned on spending what was required for him to undertake the job, and he was kind enough to explain to me what I needed to do to cap off the pipe myself.

Long story short I was really happy with Pat's service. He fixed the immediate (very unpleasant) problem and gave me what I needed to finish the project myself

Called on a Friday - was able to get an appointment on Saturday. Pat called before he came, arrived promptly during the time he said he was going to arrive. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my toilet and made the fix. Also let me know what else was going wrong with it and how much that would be to fix - and let me make the decision on whether or not to fix that part too. I really appreciate his honesty.

Overall - highly recommended. Will definitely call again if I need a plumber. Happy to have the name of a good plumber in the city. :)

A glass fell in our garbage disposal, and jammed it to the point it wouldn't turn on. I called to have a new one installed, but they gave me two quick tips to try and fix it myself, and it worked! What an incredibly honest company to be more concerned with  a happy customer than taking advantage of me to make a quick buck on the minimum for a trip out.

One day I came home from work to find that a spigot in back had popped off and water was pouring out everywhere.  We had not been in our house long and I didn't know where our water shut off valve was located.  I called Drain-EEZ and although no one was available to come out since all the plumbers were at other jobs, Drain-EEZ assisted me on the phone and I was able to find the valve.  I will definitely call them for future plumbing issues.

I was looking for a plumber to help me find out the source of a leak in my apartment that was causing the downstairs apartment to periodically get water dripping down from their ceiling. I called a lot of plumbers, but Pat from Drain-EEZ was able to be there the next morning (a SATURDAY) with no extra charge for the weekend call.
He diagnosed the problem and was back soon to open up the wall and help me figure out what to do next.
It was great to find a plumber that is honest and not trying to jack up his bill with unnecessary repairs. I definitely have found my plumber for all my repairs in the future!

Pat and Lou are not only expert plumbers, but great people who obviously really care about the work they do.  I've used their expertise twice within the last year. The first was a for a non-emergency situation for which Pat explained step-by-step what needed to be done and possible negative consequences to properly install our washer and dryer in our newly purchased, cheaply-rehabbed home.  All went well and fortunately(?) I've been able to do laundry sans problems (outside of my laziness) ever since! The second situation was more serious and urgent. I came home last week to an obviously busted pipe in our basement. Apparently the rest of the Chicago-area population was experiencing the same, as no plumber could come out for at least 24 hrs. I called Drain-eez and initially Pat said the best he could do was send someone out the next afternoon. I held on to his appointment but was VERY PLEASANTLY surprised by a call from Pat about an hour later that his plumber Lou would be on his way due their concern that you have no running water and more pipes could burst in the extreme cold causing major, major problems.  How caring and courteous is that?  Lou came out within 20 minutes, figured out the problem, only had to cut a small hole in our wall, and, viola, fixed it!  He gave us some wonderful advice regarding how to avoid this in the future, gave us a Yelp discount after charging us a VERY reasonable rate, and was on his way after what had to have been a very long day for him.  Pat and Lou and Drain-eez are AWESOME!  Call them NOW for your plumbing issues.

Lou is the best. He is honest, trustworthy, and makes things right. I called Drain-EEZ when I had a bit of a plumbing emergency on my hands. The toilet was gurgling while I was taking a shower and the shower drain began to slow. I had had a pump failure in my place 6 months ago and had the pump replaced. It was a nightmare with the overflow into the house. I thought my plumbing nightmare was behind me until the toilet and shower started behaving strangely. How could the new pump in my unit be failing? I called a different plumber this time and Lou came out. He opened up the pit and noticed that it was not a new pump, but a used pump the previous plumber had installed! Not only that, he had rigged it up with an automatic pressure switch and the float immobilized with a zip tie. Needless to say we were shocked. In addition, it turns out there was an 18 inch clog in the pipe that had not been flushed out by the previous plumber. Lou did all the dirty work, clearly explained what happened and provided great advice. I really appreciate a company that employs folks with such integrity. Thank you so much! If only I could find an honest handy-man, I'd be set!

Discovered leak from first floor bathtub last night.  Called Drain-EEZ at about 9 p.m., expecting to leave message and hear from them this morning.  Pat answered and we set up time for this morning.  He got there when he said he would; figured out problem; left to get a part or two; and, had it done within about 1 and 1/2 hours.  Great service and good guy.  His helper was a good guy, too.  Will call next time I have plumbing problems.

My bathroom faucet was leaking. Although he fixed the leak by replacing the hot and cold stems, he overcharges for his services. He charged $325 which included $150 in parts. Unfortunately, I hired him before I heard from a handyman the following day who told me the total cost would be $85 which included $10 for the parts. The handyman diagnosed the same problem. Lesson learned.

These guys are so awesome and professional. I found them on Yelp and called them on a Friday evening and left a message after calling a bunch of companies. Pat called me back right away and apologized for missing my call. We chatted about my situation that involved a grease separator leak in our house(yes, very ironic). I loved that he didnt rush me off the phone, instead he explained exactly what would need to get done, etc. He had me text him a few photos and gave me a quote right away on the phone and told me his plumber Lou can come out at 1pm on Tuesday. We honestly wanted someone to come out right away and fix the issue, but Pat was so great over the phone that i just wanted to give them the business. So we did, we waited till Tuesday(today) to fix it. We were quoted that the job would take 3 hours and instead Lou got it done in 2 and saved us some money. What a great guy, so nice, knowledgable and got the job done. I am so glad that we found a company that we can count on. Everyone knows how hard it is to find good and reliable people in this industry. These guys are doing it right!

In addition to the prompt and friendly service (two major pluses in my book), Pat at Drain-EEZ gave me tips about how I could save money by doing some easy home repairs myself on some of my plumbing issues. He showed me exactly what the problems were and how to avoid future plumbing issues. I also had to switch times at the last minute--no problem. The warm and friendly service I received with Pat was the same I received by the women who answered my call, whom I later found out to be his wife. If you need a local, knowledgeable and no-nonsense plumber, Pat is your guy.

We had an issue in our bathroom and needed urgent help. It was a Saturday night, right before a party we had planned at our place, and Pat came within 40 minutes. Drain-EEZ was on time, quick, efficient, and CHEAP! I had a clogged toilet that wouldn't budge and other plumbers wanted to charge me $200+/hr. Drain-EEZ quoted me $125/hr and honored their $55 yelp coupon for first time customers, bringing the total down to $70! They showed up on time, explained to me how to prevent the clog in the future and got the job done. This is the ONLY plumber I will be using in the future!

The water flow of our kitchen faucet became incredibly slow.  I called Drain-EEZ this morning.  Lou came by by 11:30.  He thought that there might be rust in the water supply lines.  Sure enough, he flushed everything out, and the the faucet is working better than ever.  I was thrilled!  He also showed my husband and I how to flush the supply lines in case it ever happens again.  His service was invaluable!  In addition, Lou was extremely courteous and professional.

I Just remodeled my rental unit bathroom and had to have the bathtub boot drain connected to finish the job.  After opening up the ceiling below the tub, I realized I needed a professional plumber to complete the job to make sure it was done correctly with no leaks.  Because I installed a sub floor there was a 1 1/2 inch gap between the bottom of the tub drain and the top of the boot.  This required a special extension which I picked up at The Faucet Shoppe on Elston.  I originally hired another plumber to show up at 1 pm.  When he arrived and showed him how I wanted it done, he went on to say that it would not work, he never seen that before, he would not warranty the work, etc.  He went on to say that he could cut out all the galvanize, cast iron and brass and install all plastic and it would work just as well.  Well, I sent him on his way because that was not wanted needed to be done just to install a simple boot.  

I found Drain-EZZ on on yelp and called them.  They said they had a guy in the area and he could be over in a couple of hours after he finished his other job.  Lou showed up just before 4 pm and I showed him exactly what needed to be done.  He did some pre-assembly work of the boot and slide it into place.  Tightened down the drain basket inside the tub.  Came back down and tightened all the lock nuts and fittings, did a leak test and all was good!  Took Lou an hour and the job was complete!  There was no need to cut anything out to complete the job.  He did a great job and prevented me from swearing for the next 4 hours trying to do it myself.  

I had him look at removing the garbage disposal and re-piping the kitchen sink for a later date.

Our kitchen sink fixture was leaking after it had become loose and efforts by my wife and I to fix it were unsuccessful.  I called Drain-EEZ plumbing based on the strong Yelp reviews and  I was not disappointed.  Pat arrived within the promised time window, fixed the problem in under 30 minutes and was so helpful with advice on future needs for our sink.  I plan to call Drain-EEZ from now on for all our plumbing needs.

Lou from Drain-EEZ Plumbing came out today to fix a clog in my bathroom sink (in the wall really) that I unsuccessfully attempted to take care of by myself. First, my conversation on the phone to make the appointment was awesome. The woman I spoke to wasn't sure they could send someone out the same day I called (totally reasonable), but said she would call back if a job Lou was working on ended up leaving some time. Sure enough, I got a call a couple of hours later saying he could come by. Lou was extremely professional, friendly and careful in his work. He didn't seem rushed and took the time to protect the floor around the sink as well as to explain what he was doing and why. He was great to talk to and happily answered my (stupid) questions without any judgment. A true professional and a very nice guy. I felt the price was reasonable given how quickly the response was (and I had to replace a corroded sink trap). It's never fun having to pay for a clogged drain, but sometimes it's best left to the professionals. I couldn't have had a better experience. Thanks, Lou!

I never really know what I'm going to get based on Yelp reviews, but this one came through.  I think I've tried 2 or 3 plumbers before and I typically come away feeling ripped off.  Lou came out today on a weekend to take care of a problem and provided advice on another issue.  I found their service to be professional and thorough and their pricing to be reasonable (and as estimated).  Although ideally I'll never need to, Lou is the kind of person I would certainly call on again.  Thanks Yelp for this recommendation.

I had a leaking toilet that needed to be fixed immediately. I called Drain-eez and Pat was out to my place in about an hour. He did a really nice job fixing my toilet. He took the time to explain to me what the problem was and answered all my questions. He does good work at a reasonable price. I recommend Drain-Eez for your plumbing needs.

Simple and efficient with no run-around.  My sink was clogged up and I needed a plumber to fix it.  Pat arrived on time, called me to let me know when he arrived, and fixed my sink quickly.  
He really knows his stuff.  He can eyeball a project and give an accurate estimate.  He communicated the job as he went.  There wasn't a part he needed that he didn't already have.  There was no I will need to get that part for you or This is what you need to buy.  I'll have to come back tomorrow.  or I had to send my guys home early today; can we come another day?  
He doesn't tack on ridiculous visit fees, travel time, or fuel surcharges.  As a woman, it is important to me to feel like I don't need a man there to make sure I don't get taken advantage of.  I did not feel slighted at all with Drain-EEZ, nor did Pat speak to me in a condescending way.  
I know nothing about plumbing and when something breaks, I just want a plumber to come out and fix it.  It's that simple.  And with Drain-EEZ plumbing, that exactly what I got.

Had a basement leak and called late on a Sunday night to arrange Monday appointment. Pat was very helpful in helping us figure out the problem and temporarily fix it until he came out the next day. He came out right on time explained what needed to be done and was able to replace the pump quickly. Of course time will tell if the problem is fully fixed, but I have additional plumbing work to do down the road and I would certainly trust calling Pat again.

How rare is it to find an honest, experienced and knowledgable place of business? You all know how rare it is. So I have a superstar Plumbing business that answers the phone right away, is interested in helping you with your problem promptly, and then offers free advice and what inexpensive tool to get to fix it yourself!   Drain-EZZ Plumbing did all that with a smile and pleasantness. Pat came out to my apartment when my drains clogged.  He had a flat rate to clear my clog: $175/tub and $175/sink.  He ended up charged me $300 to clear my tub and sink and  changed my sink pipes on his own, which was very nice.  The work was quickly and well done.   Pat is knowledgable and responsive.

Pat did a fantastic job.  I called him when my garbage disposal and kitchen sink clogged on Christmas, expecting to get a voicemail, and instead reached a very friendly receptionist who scheduled the service.  Pat came out the next day to fix everything.  He was very professional, quite efficient and was upfront with me about the cost before fixing anything.  He checked to see if he could fix the garbage disposal before replacing it and also gave me a tutorial on how I can try to fix it myself should something go wrong in the future. He did a great job and was a very friendly guy.   I will definitely use him the next time I have a plumbing issue (which hopefully will not be for a while!).

I had water backing up into my toilet and bathtub at 8AM and knew that whatever was happening was beyond my plumbing skill. Reviewed Yelp for plumbers in the area and began calling around. Two of the other plumbing companies would only send technicians out (there is a difference between a technician and plumber, make sure you get a plumber), and they would not be able to come until later that afternoon. I left a message with Drain-EEZ and received a call-back within 15 minutes. Explaining my problem, Pat said he would have Lou come out by 11AM. Lou arrived promptly and proceeded to diagnose my problem. My ejector pump had failed and after reviewing options I followed Lou's recommendation to replace the pump and clean out the pump pit. Lou was great! He answered my myriad of questions regarding what he was doing in laymen terms so that I could understand. He also provided a lot of helpful maintenance advice to prevent various plumbing issues in the future. Pat and Lou were prompt, helpful, courteous, and I got a good price. If I have any plumbing problems in the future, I will be calling Drain-EEZ.

Wow.  Drain-EEZ is amazing!  Having had toilet problems for nearly 5 years and multiple plumbers out to look at the issue, I finally found someone who could help us!  We've had TWO different plumbing companies out to fix the issue and we were told hold the flusher down longer and then told to replace the toilet-which another company quoted at $800 installed!?  I came across Drain-EEZ and put in a call this morning for a quote to install a toilet that we would purchase on our own.  A plumber called me back within a couple of hours and could not have been nicer!  He asked me all about the problems we were having, quoted WAYYYY less than I had recently been quoted then told me to text him a few pics of the toilet.  He called me back less than 5 minutes after I sent pictures and taught me over the phone how to fix my current toilet without replacing it for roughly $4 and trip to Home Depot.  He even offered to walk us through it over the phone after we go buy the part!  Seriously, so AMAZING.  I will definitely be using them anytime I have a future plumbing problem.  THANK YOU!

We had the trifecta. Our faucet started leaking, then our hot water heater, and a few days later, our neighbor says our toilet is leaking into his bathroom.  Not kidding. More plumbing issues in 3 days then we've had in 10 years.   I searched Yelp and thought the reviews for Draineez plumbers were excellent, and gave them a call.  Well, there's a reason the reviews are excellent.  They were able to come out the same day, take out the old faucet, install the new faucet, find the leak from the toilet and fix it, and remove the hot water heater.  Took about 2 hours for all the work to be completed and for our plumbing to get back to normal.  The Two plumbers were very friendly and knowledgable.  Price was reasonable considering all the time and labor they had to put in.  Most importantly, everything is working again as it should.  The quality of their work is what makes me give them 5 stars.  The only advice I'd give them in the future is to bring their own towels, since we went through a boat load of ours to clean up the messes from leaks.  Still, if any future plumbing issues arise, we will call these plumbers.
