After PHS, I continued working as a Plumber's Helper before joining the worlds greatest NAVY... Upon completion of boot camp and additional Naval training and schooling, I reported aboard the late (USS) AUSTIN LPD-4 assigned to C2F, where I proudly served, trained and worked as a Machinist Mate among other billets, duties and assignments...
During my tour in uniform, I did two deployments to the Mediterranean Sea aboard (LPD-4) as a unit of MARG- C6F/CTF-61 where I had the good fortune and the opportunity of a lifetime to see, visit and experience first hand many wonderful, exotic and historical places, cultures and ports of call... afterwards, I transferred to the Navy Reserve where I also served aboard other Naval vessels and shore detachments... NAVET MM2(USS) Austin LPD-4.

We had a gas leak problem and the gas company shut down our gas line. I called Macias Plumbing and came to our house within an hour and started performing leak test to locate the leak. They installed a new gas pipe line since our was too old and was at risk. The price they have quoted was the best price I got and didn't hesitated to give them the work. I had another company came and quoted me more then twice the amount. There work was outstanding and surpassed my expectation. From the start they came right away and understood our emergency. Don't waste your time, Macias Plumbing services and price is outstanding and will always use them as our trusted plumber.

Ros is an absolute legend. He and his team replaced my old water main line and with new copper pipes. They did such a good job that my water pressure also improved. Not only did he do a good job, but a crazy driver crashed his truck while parked and nearly sustained more serious injuries. Despite that, he still worked on they job and did an amazing job. 5 stars.

Needed an emergency appointment on a Sunday and Ros was the only person available to come. The pilot light on my water heater wasn't coming on and he said he'd come take a look. He located the source of the problem, my exhaust got knocked off, and he was able to get it back on and got the pilot working again. Very responsive and definitely recommend!

Had a new plumbing emergency and Ross returned to fix this new issue. Ross is professional and swift with getting to work. I can't tell you what a relief it is to have a trusted plumber that my family can rely on.
Our hot water heater abruptly stopped working on a weekend. We called Ros and he talked through options with us on the phone and came out to the house without hesitation. He diagnosed the issue and we ultimately had to purchase a new unit. Ros went with us to Home Depot and brought the tank back to our home for us. The job was completed and I had a terrific experience. He was responsive, reliable, and knowledgeable. Also helps that's he's a Veteran.

The pilot kept going out on our wall heater and upon inspecting and asking some questions, Ros noticed that the wall was hot and advised that it was very dangerous to use the heater in that state. We turned it off and he and his crew were able to rearrange their schedule and quickly come back the next day to work on it.
Once the old unit was removed, they were able to assess that the old heater vent pipe to the roof was damaged and needed to be replaced.
We decided to also upgrade the heater and thermostat at that time as well.
They made sure we got the best price and quality for the materials needed and the cost of labor was fair. Thankfully also, they were able to finish the project the same day.
With the expertise of Ros, Memo and Alonso fixing our gas wall heater, we can sleep better knowing that our home is a safer place.
Heard water running near my washer. Ros was able to come out the next day,
diagnose the problems (leaky pipes) and with the assistance

I had a plumbing emergency on Sunday night so I called on Monday morning first thing. I spoke with Ross who was very helpful and accommodating - I had to shut off my water until the issue was fixed and he rearranged some things and got some guys to come out immediately. Plumbers are busy this time of year but Ross prioritized my job. My family couldn't do our normal day to day activities until the issue was resolved because I had to shut off the water. His guys worked clean and did great work, and were fairly priced and the issue was resolved before noon! I recommend calling Macias Plumbing if you need a plumber. They also fixed a broken PVC pipe in my sprinkler system which was above and beyond what we discussed when they arrived. All in all I have nothing but positive feedback for them.
My wife had complained to be that out garbage disposal was backing up. Reached out to Macias Plumbing and they responded very quickly to have someone come out. Ros showed up, inspected the situation and determined no repairs needed. I appreciate his honesty with the situation. I will be hiring him for all future plumbing needs.

The entire process from start to finish was extremely seamless.
My water heater broke down, we called Macias Plumbing late that evening, they picked up the phone and was able to schedule us in for the next morning. Ros was very upfront and honest about the issue and pricing and completed the work right away. Excellent service, great communication, great pricing and answers calls! Will not hesitate to recommend!
Had a very old water heater finally go out at our rental and Ros called me back right away and let me know he could be there the next day. Kept in touch on time and showed up, assessed what was needed and was able to get everything with one trip and replace it. Even went as far to fix the platform the water heater was on as well. Ros and Memo were very responsive. They were quick to return my calls and fit me in to their busy schedule without hesitation. They were also friendly and courteous and the work they did was good work at a fair price. Where i have issue is that they were hired to remove a obstruction in my line, but in the end they left and I still had an obstruction. They did good work in installing access cleanouts as my older system didn't have proper access to reach the obstruction. I dont disagree that the updates my system was needed, only that at the end of the day I still had a backed up system which ended up costing me double to fix.
Very responsive and I was able to get someone from Macias to come within a few hours. Thank you!
Ros was super helpful over the phone and walked me through all the steps and what I should get done on my new home inspection even though the scheduling didn't work with him. Will definitely reach out for any issues in the future!

Ros of Macias Plumbing was fantastic.
We just moved into our new home and discovered that the master bathroom had a blockage in the plumbing that would back up the bathtub and toilet after a few minutes of running the water. There was nothing we could do to fix it. So, we got on Yelp and discovered Macias Plumbing.
It comes as no surprise with they have such a high rating! Ros came in and accessed our issue quickly and honestly. He let me know what both the cost and my options were to fix this issue. The cost was much better than I expected and Ros knocked out the blockage and got our bathroom operational in about an hour. He earned our business for any future plumbing issues that we may encounter.
I highly recommend using Macias Plumbing.
Called them up on Tuesday, left a msg and they called back within the hour. Scheduled an estimate for the next morning with a 2 hour window, better than the typical 4. Got a call that they would be there even earlier than the window time, perfect. Their estimate came in $1500 less than my other estimate, WOW!!. The did the work right away. It was an old iron water pipe that had rotted through. It was behind the wall beneath the kitchen sink and connect to the clean out. Replaced everything, good as new. Got to love a plumber who comes early, got an amazing price, job done right away!!. I will be using them from now on for all my rental and personal properties.
Macias plumbing is fantastic. I had a gas leak at water heater they fixed, broken thermal couple on water heater replaced, replaced gas dryer shut off valve, and turned on wall heater. Very professional, I highly recommend them.

I live in an ole building and the pipes have been clogged from years of abuse. I had water and old food coming back for vengeance that had been recently flushed.
I called Macias Plumbing and they immediately came out. They were very professional and hard working. They put in a lot of time and care into fixing the issue.

When your shower gets plugged up look no further than Macias Plumbing and Rooter. He came in, on time, and handled the situation that was plugging up our shower. In no time we had running water down the drain with ease. No more puddling dirty shower water during shower time!!
Just to further underscore how helpful he was, he went through the additional effort to come back and handle our need, so we could have a great shower over the weekend.
Finally, he came in with a mask, worn totally properly (we all know how important that is!!), and booties.

I had such a good experience using Macias Plumbing. I called in the morning with a brief description of what we were experiencing. He knew right away we were probably experiencing a blockage and was able to come service my home within a few hours. Ros was extremely patient with the unblocking of our drain that has been clogged from tree roots. Took longer than I expected since he took his time
to sever the roots at 120 plus feet downstream and I was seeing dollar $$$ signs add up, but he was true to his word and kept the original quote.

I contacted Ross for a repiping work for a house that was built in the 1940's. The drainage was slow and the original pipes were worn. Rosendo and his crew did a great job on a gas leak / repair job at our rental property... They did quality work (passed gas Co inspection with flying colors), and at a reasonable price, - compared to another plumbing company that we contacted- prior to Macias Plumbing... They are very helpful, reliable, and knowledgeable... We highly recommend Macias Plumbing.
Ross was a true lifesaver. We had a clogged main drain line backing up from the sewer, causing flooding in one bathroom from the toilet. This is a truly awful situation to begin with, but it was made worse by the fact that this is an old construction that was given an addition decades ago without making the clean out accessible. And of course, until it gets resolved you literally can't use any drain, toilet, shower, faucet at all, because it can all add to where the flooding is, that was barely going down. What a nightmare! And with most plumbers low on personnel due to Omicron and talking about scheduling a week out or more! Ross and Macias Plumbing came to the rescue. Great family operation. First Ross came out and attempted to snake from a roof vent for a couple hours, to no avail. Then he sent his cousin in, whose a real drain pro, and they took out an old toilet (which was really ready to be replaced anyway) and he got to the clog through that drain and after considerable effort with the bigger roto machine punched right through whatever the heck it was (probably tree roots). Then he installed a new toilet i got at Home Depot. The drains have never drained better now. Not only was it great work, but it was just in the nick of time before we'd have had to stay at a motel or something. So, tremendous appreciation to Macias Plumbing! And the charge was extremely reasonable: About $550 for working most of the day. And super great guys. I really can't say enough about what a great company this is. I'd give ten stars if I could.

Highly recommend Macias plumbing!
We had a mainline stoppage and needed it to be fixed quickly on a Friday with family on the way into town for the weekend. Ros got back to me from my phone call very quickly and was able to come out the very same afternoon to snake the line and fix the stoppage. The entire process from my initial phone call, to Ros arriving, diagnosing, and fixing the problem took no more than 3 hours. The price he quoted was much more palatable than what I'd been quoted by other local plumbers as well.

I would not hire again. Ros answered the texts but immediately subbed out the job to other plumbers who were lazy with their work, did not go above and beyond to find a tough gas leak and wanted to overcharge for every step they did and complained about doing the job right. You can find better.
Ros responded immediately. Extremely reliable. Installed a new water heater. Now I have a great plumber to call if needed.
Rosendo was so personable, quick, and awesome. I had an emergency water heater issue, called and he was able to fit me in at a moment's notice. He fixed the issue right away and was reasonable in his pricing. I'd highly recommend him and will definitely be using him again if I have another emergency.

I am sharing this review simply for Mr. Macias giving our family free advice. I called him to check out an offset sewage pipe that we just wanted to have a look out. Although he doesn't do trench less, he educated me on the ways that companies who do trench less sewage work might try to charge for work that might not be necessary. He suggested that if any work is to be done to view the video footage for proof and to beware of sale tactics when these companies work with elderly customers. His free advice helped us save $4500+ on work that was not necessary and he should be recognized for his honesty.

Our water heater went out on Monday. We called Macias later in the afternoon and he was busy, but he said he could come the next morning. I like that he tried to troubleshoot the problem initially by changing the thermocouple. He didn't try to automatically up sale us on the pricier option of replacing the heart off the bat. However, the thermocouple solution didn't work so he advised us that we needed a new water heater because he related our old one was unsafe. He was able to install the new one the same day and he did a great job. Very professional and knowledgeable. You can tell he enjoys what he does.

I called this company. They were quick about coming out, they did not mention anything about a service charge. Memo which is his name went under my Mobile home to find the leak they were under there for 45 minutes running my water could not find the problem. Finally he came to my door and said that I had a small leak. Then he said you should fix your all you pipes, all the time not mentioning to fix only why I called in the first place the leak, and then he said the owner will get back with you with a price. I could not understand why he could not just fix the one pipe, never even mentioned it. I said okay let the owner call or text me and give me a price. He then proceeded to ask for a service fee which was never mentioned by Memo or the owner. And all the owner text me was oh we usually charge a service fee. I text him back about not mentioning it and then he text me best regards. I have never been treated so poorly. Long story short had another plumber come out next day and replaced a10 foot Pipe it was no problem. I have never been so disappointed in a company like macias plumbing. One thing though I do have to say when I first called, owner is very friendly, that is why I had them come out. Maybe he just needs a new technician that is friendly and explains things before he does anything.
Macias Plumbing is the best. I had a broken shower fixture and no one was available on a Sunday morning except for Macias. He gave up one of his employee to come and fix my shower. Technician came out on time and was very professional. I got my shower fix and the water was turned back on the same day. Thank you Macias Plumbing!!
I have to say I am very pleased with the service I got. I own an older apartment building. Not only that, but I like to solve my tenants plumbing issues as quickly as possible. That is not always an easy task to get someone out the same day. I called Ros in the morning, and he was able to meet me around noon. He started with the gentlest method first and worked his way up. Like I said. It is an older building with older pipes, so I greatly appreciated his method. I will be calling him again when I need a plumber.
I had a valve in my toilet tank break and needed a plumber to come out the same day. Ros at Macias plumbing confirmed that he had the part and would be able to arrive that afternoon! Macias plumbing is quick to respond, professional and friendly! Excellent service all the way!

Great service! We are doing a remodel and one of the workers cut through a water line, so we had to shut the main water off. Called Macias Plumbing- Ross is a super nice guy, and he had someone over within the hour to fix it and get us back up and running! Great communication, easy to work with. Definitely recommend.
What can I say? I had issues getting hot water to a back unit at my duplex. 2 different plumbers came out to just scratch their heads and tell me they couldn't figure it out and just leave after little to no troubleshooting. I got tired of the run around and looked to yelp for help... thank jeebus I found Macias's Plumbing. I called them and had same day service on a Saturday morning!
Ros was on point! He troubleshot the water system up and down, getting an understanding of the plumbing...truth be told my existing plumbing was band aid fixes after band aid fixes... so he was able to see through all of that and find the problem that 2 other so called experienced plumbers couldn't find. I honestly think the last 2 plumbers intentions were to up-sell me... Not to fix the issues at hand... Ros took care of everything giving me the peace of mind the other 2 plumbers couldn't. His prices are fair, and he's honest. Throughout the troubleshooting process, he mentioned the worst case scenario, but came up with the best solution for my budget. Ceiling started leaking water in our bedroom. Ros came out to look at the problem since it had been leaking for 2 days and had started leaking more. This was on a Sunday. My husband had already opened up the ceiling and Ros gave a free estimate. Since my husband is very handy he advised the leak was coming from upstairs bathroom pipe and something my handy husband could take care of. Advised we save our money. Great advice. We're are definitely going to be customers for life. It is an old house.
Ros' customer service was outstanding. My husband did call Ros to come out on Monday to fix it for us. He didn't feel too comfortable to handle the plumbing himself. The leaky pipe was fully replaced and handled quickly. The cost was fair only a couple hundred dollars. We thought it was going to cost $500 or more. Thank goodness it wasn't.

Called for a same-day service to clear out roots on my main sewer line. They answered the phone quickly and took care of my problem with minimal fuss.
I used them last year for the same issue. The roots take about a year to do their thing, so I'm sure I'll call Macias Plumbing again next time

We went to Home Depot to get another water heater and got a Veterans discount since he is a Veteran. He transported and installed it within a few hours. He was very thorough and friendly. The price was very reasonable! I will definitely use him for any plumbing or gas issues that I have in the future!

Could not have nicer things to say about Ros Macias. We had a nasty clog in our tub that we could not tackle, not even with a home rooter. We finally gave up and called a professional. Ros arrived perfectly on time, and was in and out -- quick, safe, courteous, and clean.

We had a fairly bad clog. Ros showed up when he said he would and, once he diagnosed the problem, gave us a very fair price to run the 3/4 cable to clear it out. it was a pretty rough main line clog, but he worked on it until it was clear, which meant running that cable a few times.
Ros is easy to talk to, very friendly, and not trying to rip people off. So refreshing!
I called Ross when the gas company couldn't light the pilot light in my water heater. He came out within an hour and started trouble shooting the situation immediately. My water heater is only a couple years old and I was dreading having to buy another one. Ross worked his magic, fixed my water heater quickly, and saved me a lot of $$!

Very responsive and helpful. Calls ahead and comes on time. They're also ready and willing to check other issues and help with that as well. We newly moved in a new apartment and the shower was only dripping water. We tried changing setting and tightening but didn't work. They had ready supplies to change the shower head which apparently was the issue. Also very helpful in checking possible leak on kitchen sink and tightened the dripping faucet. Everything was smooth and quick. Very friendly staff as well. Great job!

I contacted Macias Plumbing for what I thought was a suspect looking pipe in the kitchen floor of my new home and which I thought was emitting odors. Ros was able to assess the situation quickly, and assured me it was just an abandoned pipe piece and nothing to worry about. He offered advice on how I could easily fix myself. Mother's Day, toilet and bathtub backing up with sewer water! I called Macias Plumbing and Ros was able to get a technician out within two hours of my call and saved the day. They fixed the clog quickly and the price was very reasonable for a Sunday call. They definitely saved the day!

I don't know why, but Ros totally cracked me up when he said this. It sounded like the beginning of a good knock knock joke. But the clog in the tub/shower drain at home was definitely no joke. I needed it fixed... And preferably ASAP.
Ros was very prompt in responding to my request for a quote via Yelp. I explain the situation, and he let me know that he had a couple of appointments available. I was able to schedule one for less than 24 hours after we were messaging on Yelp.

We had a clogged, slow draining sink that needed to be cleared out for some time. Called Macias Plumbing this morning and Ros had advised he would be able to come out the same day. He provided an estimated time frame and arrived on time. He was very professional and friendly. The estimate provided for the job was very competitive and much less than other competitor's quotes. Ros was fantastic - I'd highly recommend this service to anyone looking for a plumber. Our water heater sprung a leak during the evening on New Year's Eve - since the next day was a holiday, most businesses weren't open the following morning. Even though Macias Plumbing & Rooter was closed that day, Ros called me back within half an hour. (I called several other plumbers that were also closed, and still haven't heard back from them!)
We made an appointment for next day, January 2nd, but Ros still took the time to walk me through how to troubleshoot the issue (about 30 minutes on the phone, texting back and forth pictures of the unit) since he wouldn't be able to come service the unit for 24 hours due to the holiday.
On the day of our appointment, Ros showed up right when he said he would, quickly diagnosed the problem, then reinstalled a new water heater. The whole process took less than 3 hours, including getting the parts needed. After the install, Ros took a few extra minutes to help us troubleshoot some low-pressure faucets in our bathroom.
Ros was professional, knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and very customer-service oriented. We'll definitely be using Ros as our go to for any plumbing issues in the future.

One of the best decisions I've ever made was calling Macias Plumbing & Rooter! My shower valve hasn't been working for awhile now but now it does thanks to them! The process was fast and worth the cost! I honestly suggest this plumbing business! You will not regret!
We're in the process of replacing our tank gas heater to tankless gas heater and I started calling around to receive reasonable estimates from plumbing companies in the area. Contacted 3 companies and Ros from Macias Plumbing responded quickly. He was very professional. We scheduled our appointment on a Tuesday and he arrived promptly. Fully prepared, he did the walk through and he sat down with us and took his time explaining the pros and cons of both tank and tankless gas heaters and indoor and outdoor installation.
More importantly, he made adjustment on our current tank gas heater. I mentioned that for almost 2 weeks we have not had any hot water and it was the reason why I was searching for a plumber. After working on our heater for a few minutes and making adjustments, there was hot water again.
Ros was not a pushy sales person. I explained that purchasing a new tankless heater was an unexpected expense. I prefer to use my old heater until I save enough money for a new heater. He understood the situation and agreed that the quoted service fee he provided will be valid until I am ready to make the switch.
I highly recommend Macias Plumbing. However, I CAN NOT say the same for the other 2 plumbing companies I contacted. I found all three via Yelp. The other companies sent employees that were only there to make the sale.
We've called Ros Macias on two occasions to clear clogged drain lines at our house. Both times he responded promptly to phone calls, arrived same day, and fixed the drainage issues. He's professional, very personable and does a great job for a very reasonable price. I have recommended his services to friends and highly recommend them to my fellow Yelpers!

I didn't need plumbing work done today, but I did need to gain access to a hidden label on my water heater to take a picture for insurance purposes. I called one plumber who quoted me $125 simply for showing up; I know that time is money, but that seemed high. I then called Macias Plumbing and Rooter. Mr. Macias listened and offered to take care of my situation for free! I offered to compensate him for his time, but he said that I was close and it was a simple thing. I am grateful for his professional generosity and goodwill. I'll definitely be calling on, and paying for, his services in the future.

I have nothing but praise for Ros and the crew. I had a kitchen faucet that suddenly started spewing hot water into the sink. It's an older house with no cutoff valve for the kitchen water supply. I called Macias Plumbing and the crew was sent out within a couple hours, not days as was quoted by another local plumbing company. They were very efficient in replacing the damaged faucet with a better new one. If you have plumbing needs you should call these guys! They will take care of you as they did me.
I called right when the business opened and spoke with Ros. We made an appointment and Guillermo arrived on time. He was professional and assessed the sink. He could not find any leaks. I asked him to investigate replacing the sink. He called me later to say he was having trouble finding a new sink with the same dimensions of my sink. Ros called me and offered to come by and look at the sink. Next day Ros came by. He was easily identifiable with his cap and jacket with the business logo. Ros checked everything out, made recommendations, and cleaned up.
I would definitely call him with any future plumbing issues.
I called 5 different plumbers when the gas company showed up unexpectedly and shut off our gas due to a leak. Ros sent his crew out within hours of when I called. Guillermo crawled under the house and spent nearly 2 hours troubleshooting and getting the full picture of our problem.
Our house is old so it was no surprise that our original valves and lines needed some updating. I appreciated Ros helping us prioritize our needed repairs.
The team was contentious about keeping their work areas tidy and minimizing dust around the crawl space. I feel confident about the work they did and the only suggestion I would give is that they explain in advance how they would like checks made out to them.

Shower backed up and flooded our downstairs. I knew it had to be the mainline to the street. Called several places but Ros responded right back and he came over right after the job he was currently working. He got the job with no drama and in good time. I was back to living life with a working shower. This is a man who knows his craft and does it with aplomb.

I contacted Macias last night on the Yelp app and he responded quickly and said he could stop by in the morning to give me a free estimate. I called him the next morning and set a time to meet. He showed up on time and was very friendly I felt comfortable with him immediately. I explained to him that my water heater kept flooding when it rained and that the aluminum housing would get condensation build up and then the drips would flood my water tank and put out the pilot light. He noticed the flue was not right on top of the heater and fixed it then taped it with special tape. It was an easy fix and now I won't have to vacuum out the water and relight the pilot on my water heater every time it rains. He was very courteous and professional. Called him the evening before in a situation (frustrated) with our Rheem water heater (boo, for cold water on these cold nights). Said he'd be there next morning before 10am. Texted me next morning at 8am to confirm. Pulled up at 9:45am! Fixed my issue, discussed preventatives, solutions, and most importantly, confidence with the whole situation! Human kindness goes a very long way...and although fee's can be involved, it's the way a business person handles the transaction. He is top notch!

I had quite a bit of a situation last Saturday. My kitchen sink just started to overflow on to the floor. I was freaking out. The ppl who own the condo I'm renting we're unresponsive. So I took to the penny saver... Oh man that was a waste if time! I called at least 8 numbers (for guys who were probably unlicensed) and no one picked up! Well one guy did but he sounded creepy lol
Then I decided to stop being so cheap and checked out yelp. I saw some really great reviews and noticed they were local. I called Macias Plumbing at 1:02pm and Ros was outside oft building by 2:38pm!!

Ros is the only plumber I call for my house or my rental. He's reliable and professional. My tenant called another plumbing company to clear a block in the main line, they wouldn't guarantee their work and sure enough the plumbing backed up again a few days later. I immediately called Ros. He went above and beyond by clearing the block through the bathroom vent pipe on the roof and there hasn't been a problem since. Macias is the only plumber I ever call.

During a dangerous heat warning and an upcoming holiday weekend, they came out SAME DAY to service my A/C unit. I contacted several companies for service and no one was able to service my unit the same day (with some booked for over a week). Ultimately, I feel that Macias may have overcharged me (explaining the 4 out of 5 stars) since they knew they had me a corner though. Repairman arrived early and was done in 15 minutes but the repairman was a contractor so I can not speak to Macias plumbing employees.
Called and set up a. Appointment right away with Ros. Very quick response time, even on what seemed like a busy day for him. Service was quick and professional. He is now my go to plumber. I would recommend his services to friends and family.

I highly recommend Ros! He showed up right away and went to work. My water heater connector was leaking and was able to fix in less than 15 min. His price are reasonable too. Definitely recommend him to others and will be contacting him in the future.

On Thursday, November 12, 2015, an inspector with the California Energy Upgrade program detected two gas leaks at our home: One in the furnace unit in the attic and another in the clothes dryer gas line inside our garage. I immediately called Ros Macias at Macias Plumbing & Rooter. Ros was busy, but he promised to arrive within the hour. Less than an hour later, Ros arrived and went straight to work, and he quickly repaired both gas lines. While he was at our house, Ros also repaired a shower fixture that had been leaking badly!
The next morning I smelled natural gas outside our garage. I called Ros at 7:00AM, and he responded to our home in less than half an hour. That is true emergency service! Ros confirmed that his prior work was not leaking, but he discovered that a buried gas pipe was badly corroded and leaking gas. Ros dug up the soil around the gas pipe and worked hard to locate a section of solid pipe to install a 90-degree elbow and a length of brand new pipe. Ros eventually called a second Macias plumber to assist him, but he was able to complete the repair despite the extremely poor condition of the existing gas pipe.
We are grateful to Ros Macias of Macias Plumbing & Rooter. Ros is knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. He will explain the problem and all available solutions and prices. He will not over-charge. Ros expertly repaired our leaking gas lines, and by doing that he improved the safety of our home. Had the leaks not been discovered and repaired, we would have been unknowingly living in a very dangerous environment. We now have peace of mind knowing that Ros Macias is our family plumber. Today we called Ros out to service a valve to our washer as instructed by the appliance guy who told us it's our cold water valve not the washer. Okay, so of course, like I said I kept Ros's number. Rod showed up sooner than expected and took a look at the valve. He simply said, you need a new hose to your washer,which the first guy should have checked. I truly appreciate honesty. We are once again extremely pleased and HIGHLY recommend Ros. He truly is fair, honest and professional. Qualities all service individuals should demonstrate and execute. This company is the real deal. Ros knows his stuff and was extremely helpful with our situation. He is now our go-to-guy from this point forward. We own a multi-family property and a tenant of ours was having plumbing issues. Ros was extremely professional and handled the situation with great integrity. Ros came, provided a quote for a leak that was coming from the bathroom wall and finished the job on the same day, which is hard to find with other plumbing businesses. He did a great drywall patchwork when done, which again not a lot of plumbers are willing to do. Lastly, they fixed another minor leak problem I had that was not even agreed upon, free of charge. Thank you Ros.
I searched for a local plumber through my number one resource, Yelp of course. I scheduled 3 estimates. I needed all the plumbing done in what would be our new home. The house was in bad shape so it was completely remodeled.
Ros came across as a down to earth guy, who you can trust. My biggest issue with the contractors is that they all seemed a little shady. I felt like Ros was a neighbor helping out on the whole project. He was both extremely knowledgeable, and his price was fair compared to the other estimates. We chose Ros to be our plumber.
We hired Ros to do a lot! He installed our gorgeous Farmhouse Kitchen Sink, one bath tub including fixtures, one shower including fixtures, two bathroom vanities including fixtures, two toilets and the water heater.
He worked extremely well with other contractors, with our time line and stayed within budget. He made suggestions along the way of needed or optional updates, his experience really kicked in over the course of the project. He knows plumbing extremely well but his knowledge of remodeling and other trades is what put the icing on the cake. All his helpers were always pleasant.
We worked with many contractors on this project but Ros is the only one everyone asks about and remembers. He's a great guy.
Along with 2 clogged sinks. Saturday night our toilet clogs and Sunday morning there's no sign of it getting better. So I looked for a local plumber and Macías comes up. He Answered our call said he would take 3 hrs for him to finish another job and would head on over. Unclogged everything. Price was reasonable for a Sunday emergency. Mr. Ros Macías was very nice and informative.
Macias plumbing was fantastic! Our water heater pilot went out and we couldn't get it to stay lit. He fixed it in less than 20 minutes for a super reasonable price. In addition to that he even helped us move our old couch out of the house. He is definitely our go to plumber now! Thank you so much!

This evening we discovered water backing up in the shower, and water running onto the floor when we flushed a toilet. Clogged sewer line! I called Macias Plumbing at 5:50pm. Ros answered the phone, and he told me that he was headed to a non-emergency call. Ros called me back and said he would be at my place in 30 minutes or less. Ros arrived at 6:20pm, and he set-up his equipment near our outdoor sewer clean-out line. Ros snaked the sewer line, and the standing water receded within minutes. Ros was professional, friendly and efficient. Also, his quoted price was reasonable - especially given his rapid response time. Plus, he spared us having to spend the night at a hotel! We couldn't be happier!

Macias Plumbing was a godsend! They were super nice on the phone, and promised to send someone out the next day for my non-emergency repair. The technician was very friendly and explained everything to me. He had to go through the access in the back wall to replace my tub and shower valves. He managed to do this without enlarging the access and without cracking any tile! He was super professional and cleaned everything up afterward. 1000 thanks!
Kitchen sink got plugged 2days ago tried DIY and turned out to be a little complicated job.
I called Ross this morning and he was able to come earlier than I expected. He was neat and did an excellent job.
I would definitely call again if something else goes wrong.

Own a rental property in Long Beach and the tenant called on New Year's Day about a blockage in the bathroom pipes. I called many companies who weren't available or willing to work on New Years Day. Macias Plumbing was the one who took my call and was willing to help on short notice and on a holiday. They were able to clear the line within two hours and came back the following week to hydrojet the line. They showed me the issues with the roots using their camera and showed me that the line was clear after the hydrojetting. I'd definitely recommend giving them a call with any of your plumbing needs.
My experience with Macia's plumming was great fixed our horribly backed up toilet and got to my house really quick as well. He was very clean doing the job! Thank you!

Called the rescue plumber. Ros.. Was the technician that came to rescue my Restaurant, it didn't take him long to see what causes the problem. Then He took out his 120 foot long snake machine and went to work. Next thing you know all the water from every drain when down the sewerage pipe. All and all the the service was fast, and the price was reasonable enough for me to call him back again in the near future. Thanks again Ros..
I needed a line to the ice maker installed and I called Ros because of the reviews here.
He was prompt, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. There were unforeseen problems during the installation and it turned out to be much more work than he quoted but he was willing to stand by the insufficient quote!! I was so surprised by this!! I will definitely be calling Macias plumbing for all my future plumbing needs and I will recommend him to everyone I know.

With no drain stopper in the tub.. it was only a matter of time when something would go down the drain and clog it up. And sure enough a small bath toy went down the hole this weekend.
I found Macias plumbing with a lot of great reviews so I decided to give them a call. Rosendo took my call and I was surprised he was even available since it is labor day. He was here with in an hr like he had stated and after assessing the situation which was the main pipe being clogged he got right to work.. It was not an easy job because the toy was pretty big and stubborn to flush out but he got it done.
He was very friendly, punctual and professional. His price was very reasonable and I will definitely be recommending his plumbing services to my friends and family.
Horrible, horrible company. I called on a Saturday morning for a broken water pipe. He said that he would come at 9am for a complimentary estimate. A few minutes later he texts me to say that the minimum service charge is $300. I text him back to confirm that it is a free estimate. He calls me to say that there is a minimum charge.
I told him that I would take a free estimate and then if he performs service I would pay for it. He raises his voice and says that he is going to take another job from a paying customer. I hung up the phone. He texts back that he's sorry.
This is in response to Ros' reply. The story that your nephew gave you is untrue. I told him everything that was going on including the fact that the management company had been unable to be reached. Your nephew then said that he would come out for a free estimate, and that after the quote was delivered if I wanted I could pay for his service and then get refunded by my management company. I agreed.
Then, probably 15 or 20 minutes afterwards he texted me that the minimum charge was $300. I suspect that this probably came free you, by the sounds of it.
He totally changed the arrangement we made and when I reminded him about his promise of a free quote he began to get animated on the phone about how he was going to go to another job that actually paid. I hung up on him at this point because I don't deal with unethical people who go back on their word. You guys have good reviews, who knows if they are legitimate or not but the public should know about how your nephew, who was acting on your business' behalf at your request, treats potential customers.

My issue was a toilet shooting water everywhere, after discussing with Ross over the phone, he showed up and knew right away the problem may have come from next door to my business. Come to find out we share the same line. Next door cleared their line which automatically cleared mine. Ross never had to do anything but I do feel comfortable in knowing if I ever have a plumbing issue I can call him.

Update on another visit from Ros: Once again Ros to the rescue. My Mother-In-Law's kitchen sink was backed up, like a day at Disneyland and my Aunt's garbage disposal wasn't working at all. Ros arrived when he said he would and promptly got to work and got the two jobs done without a hiccup. I really am appreciative of his depth of knowledge which comes from experience. This means he isn't wasting time figuring it out and that translates into a quicker timeframe and a reasonable fee. He's definitely my main plumber in Long Beach!

Every time I call he cannot come out (except for the first time), even though the hours says he does late night (3x), and then he doesn't return phone calls for other services that are not emergency (2x) and doesn't stand by what he said at the first visit. Very disappointed and frustrated when he lives so nearby and will not help a family out with little ones and backed up all over the house!!!

While Jon above can't believe how difficult it is to find a good plumber, I for one cannot believe there is only 1 review for Ros Macias! So now you have TWO and maybe it will help others who are having a difficult time finding a good plumber.
Ros came to the rescue, we had no water due to a valve issue, he quoted a time and was right on it, he followed thru with promise to call, he did the job efficiently and he could have up-charged us like crazy because we had no idea what was wrong. You have to hold on to people that are honest these days! I love supporting the small shops and I love that Ros left the big boys to start his own thing. Aye-Dee-WHO? That's what I say. Macias Plumbing to the rescue!!
I'm sure Ros has a steady clientele but he needs more reviews; or maybe the steady clientele would rather keep him to themselves. His prices were not over the top and he was efficient and honest. You can't beat that with a plunger!!

Very Excellent plumbing service, IF u need plumbing done don't hesitate to call. My son had dropped a toy in the toilet and clogged the drain. I called Macias and he came out fast, got the job done quickly and was in exspensive. He also cleared the drain of my face sink that was clogged with hair. I will be using his service for all my plumbing needs.

Responded promptly on a holiday. Polite, professional, explained what was going on the entire process. Ros crawled under my 1925 historic home easily. He was thorough in evaluating the situation. I've heard horror stories about roto rooter companies and was relieved that Ros and his company cared about doing the work at a fair (even inexpensive) rate. This company went above and beyond the call of duty to help me and I sincerely appreciate them.
Ros came over yesterday (Sunday) and was able to quickly clear my main line of lots of roots. He arrived a little before the scheduled time and did a great job! Will be calling him again the next time I have any issues.
What a guy! My husband called on a Sunday morning because our water heater wasn't working. The plumber couldn't come out because of issues with his truck but was willing to explain to my husband what needed to be done and how we could do it ourselves . I had hot water again within a couple of hours thanks to Macias Plumbing!

I was worried about my water heater because I have twins joining our family very soon. I've been going around the house checking to make sure everything is operating as it should. I called a couple of plumbers to service my water heater. All of the people I called gave me a quote over 200 dollars to come out and basically do a maintenance check and flush. I called Ros and he said he would come out no charge and let me know what I need. I can not thank him enough for being honest with me and saving me from spending 200 dollars that I didn't need to spend ( every dollar counts when you have twins coming) it looks like soon (clock is ticking ) I'll be needing a new water heater but at least I now have an honest company like Macias plumbing & rooter to come out handle all of my plumbing needs! Ros met our needs immediately... first plumber tried to upsell our entire sewage / drainage system for $9k! Ros came in and made our day! Not only did he do our service the same day, he told us we didn't need the entire system. Put us at ease... Definitely recommend Macias!

Ros Macias is exceptional. He cleared a clogged laundry machine drain pipe for us on a Saturday on short notice. While he was here, my husband asked him to also replace two garden hose bibs and to fix undersink valves and lines that were installed incorrectly by the previous owner. Excellent repairs, communication, timeliness, and pricing. We will call him for all future repairs and highly recommend him. He's very honest and personable.

Yesterday was my first time using Macias Plumbing. I am so thankful they were able to make it out to my home and fix my plumbing issues. After calling about 5 different plumbers who all charged after hour prices and couldn't come right away, I got lucky and found Macias Plumbing on Yelp. After a night and morning with 10 plus people in my new house taking showers, doing laundry, and handling their business, the plumbing said no mas. It was a Saturday of a holiday weekend so I was expecting a serious wallet lashing. Man did I strike gold. Ros was at my house within 45 minutes of calling (just as he said he would). It's amazing to me how many professionals don't do that nowadays! He was friendly, professional, and very reassuring the issue could be taken care of. The plumbing issue was harder than thought and took more time and effort, but Ros kept with the original quote. Can't recommend Macias plumbing enough! I have some other plumbing related projects coming up and I know exactly who I will be calling.

Had a terrible stench coming from under my house. Ros and his amazing partner Guillermo were out within an hour, under my home, taking pictures and finding the culprit of the smell... a broken pipe. By the end of the day, my house was back to smelling almost good as new (as the stench does take a few days to resolve). Ros and his team are extremely knowledgeable, clean and neat workers (which is extremely important to me), honest and very easy to work with. I felt very confident in hiring them to do the job, as they seemed like they weren't trying to cheat me, I know that's a shocker coming from a plumbing service, as it seems they really want to squeeze every penny out of you in moment of desperation, but not Ros. He and his team seemed like they genuinely wanted to help us and not just make a few bucks. Although, we did have a pricey service completed, I feel like we got a good deal and I know that their work is guaranteed! Sadly, my plumbing problems aren't over, but I know we are on our way to fixing it with the help Ros and his team. So I called Macias Plumbing to get a leaky kitchen faucet and a rusted out bathroom sink repaired. The plumber they send out says he is going to be at my house at 2pm but 2 rolls around nothing, 3 goes by and not a peep. Around 4 pm he alls and says he is can't make it so he will be at my place by 9am the next day. I told him that I had to take the day off but I really needed these items repaired and he promised to be there at 9am. 9am the next day rolls around and no plumber. I call Macias Plumbing to find out when he was going to show and they said they couldn't get a hold of the guy and so I have to wait. Finally at 11am he shows up. I find out that the guy they send out is the worst plumber that I have ever had to deal with. First off he was a subcontractor from a place called 3 Snakes Plumbing (I kid you not) and he really didn't care about the job. He fixed the kitchen faucet just fine but kept trying to get me to change out the whole sink and cabinet instead of changing out the rusty sink like I wanted. The guy tried telling me the undermounted sink replacement I needed was hard to find. When he said that I immediately Googled it and found two different brands of the same sink in the same dimensions for sale on Amazon. He told me that he would have to order the sink and the he would call me the next day. I was busy that week but on day 5 I tried to call him with no luck. I call Macias Plumbing and they say that the guy is a subcontractor and they have nothing to do with him I need to call him. An hour later I get a text from the plumber saying that he didn't have time to order the sink and change it out so it would be easier if we change out the whole sink cabinet. I decided that I am going to find someone else with integrity that will do the work.
I purchased a new stove that didn't quite fit due to the existing gas line. I called Macias Plumbing on a Saturday not really expecting a response and to my surprise spoke to Ros. He told me he would be out in about an hour and he did. Helped me resolve my issue, stove fits, price was very fair. I appreciated his honesty and commitment to do the work correctly and not cut corners. These folks are trust worthy and reliable.

After taking a shower and running the washing machine in a house I had just purchased, I noticed dirty water and an awful smell in the second bath. I had a home warranty and thought all was well. I called the warranty company's plumber, and he came out and tried to scam me. The plumber told me that it would cost four thousand plus dollars and he would have to dig up my whole front yard. He tried to scare me, telling me I would only be able to flush the toilet twice before sewage backed up into the house. That was in the beginning of Dec. I called Macias plumbing and Ross came out and snaked the line and it has functioned without a problem since then! What a great plumber! He came right away, was affordable, and fixed the problem. I highly recommend Macias plumbing.

I can't believe how incredibly difficult it is to find a good plumber. After searching through plumbers in the area I got two estimates from online companies and a referral for Macias Plumbing from a friend. Among the three, Ros from Macias Plumbing was the most professional, most knowledgeable, most personable, and seemed the most trustworthy. With a baby in the house I wanted someone I felt comfortable with so I chose Macias Plumbing. His costs are awesome and his service is even better! We just moved into the house so I had quite a few projects for him. He finished each project on time and within budget. All his work passed inspections with flying colors. Of all the contractors I've been working with on the new house Macias Plumbing is the only one I would refer to friends and family.
The plumber came in a timely manner and fixed almost impossible fixed with my corroded pipes I'm very pleased I will be using his services in the future
Ros and his crew were very nice and professional, and best of all they finished quickly. I had an unknown leak somewhere in my house that caused my water bill to jump up $400. Ros came by and spent almost 3 hours under my house trying to locate the leak, but couldn't. He suspected the leak was in the pipe that led to my detached garage, and called his colleagues to confirm. After they found the leak, they were able to isolate it from the rest of my house so that i would still have running water while they did the repairs. The repairs required about 5 days worth of work, and meant they would have to dig up my yard. I was worried that they wouldn't be able to keep my yard nice, but you wouldn't even be able to tell that they had been there! Best of all they finished in 3 days! Really would have been 2 days but they came back the third day to do a little rework to make sure everything was good, so I appreciate the overall attention to detail.
Ros was very friendly and came all the way out to us in the South Bay for an estimate. He did what was best for us. He was also very thoughtful with our floors and walls. I would definitely call him again.

While I was very pleased with the service I received the first time I used Ros, when I called him the last time and told him about a serious problem we needed an estimate on, he never showed up or called back. He just left me hanging. Not sure what happened but very disappointed.

I had an emergancy water heater leak, and I called different companies on a Friday night and no one was avaiable and Mr.Rooter came out and wanted to replace my water heater for $1,800. A friend recommended Macias Plumbling and the next day they came out and did the job for a reasonable price without having to replace the water heater. I felt like I was going to be ripped off with the first company. I highly recommend Macias Plumbling for all your plumbling needs. Very honest and reasonable service.
