Where do I even begin?!? I got a call from my tenant on Christmas Day (Sunday, 12/25) letting me know the water heater was not working - the pilot light would not stay lit. I found FastPlumbing247 via Google on my way to the unit early Monday morning. Mac was very nice and helpful on the phone. Once I checked out the water heater with my own handyman (my dad) and he could not fix it, we called Mac again to get an estimate for FastPlumbing to come look at the water heater as well as the cost to have the whole thing replaced. Again, he was very helpful on the phone. My husband and I had already filed a claim with our home warranty company and someone was scheduled to take a look at it Tuesday morning so we did not move forward with FastPlumbing on Monday. I had a terrible feeling the water heater was not going to be fixed in a timely manner by the contractor sent out by the home warranty company, and boy, was I right.
The other company said there was a part that needed to be ordered to fix it, that they would overnight it, and fix it Wednesday when it came in. A few hours later we found out the part would not be in for 1-2 days, which was completely unacceptable as they had said it would be overnighted AND it was the middle of winter with no hot water in the unit. I immediately called Mac and asked if he would be able to check out the heater and replace it the same day if it came down to it. He said he could have his guys over there in less than an hour and that they would be able to replace it right away.
Turns out the first company diagnosed the issue incorrectly (and therefore ordered the wrong part turning this into an even bigger problem). Because of the urgency of the matter, the fact that the heater was 10 years old, and getting the part to fix it would only be a bandaid and cost almost half the amount of a new one with installation, we opted for a brand new heater.
Within 2.5 hours, FastPlumbing got to the unit, put the valve on the heater back together (because the previous guy had left it apart), diagnosed the issue, talked to us on the phone twice, left to purchase a new water heater, and installed it. I could not believe how fast and easy it was! They were quick, efficient, professional, friendly, and did not charge a cent over the quoted price. We were not there, but our tenants were very pleased with the in-person service as were we with customer service over the phone.
I would HIGHLY recommend FastPlumbing247 for any water heater repairs or replacement! I'd also like to point out that the quote we received when we called Monday, 12/26 was the same as the next day, despite it being a holiday (Christmas Day observed).
