Cesar and his dad make the dynamic duo. They were professional, always in constant communication and hard workers. They got it done so quickly and efficiently and stayed within our budget. Will definitely have then do our bathroom when we are ready. Highly recommend.

This is an update to my review from yesterday. I have lowered their rating and highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this company or their contracted installers. The installer failed to secure the sink to the cabinet with the necessary clips and also damaged my faucet causing it to leak, so I had to replace that too. In all I have had to spend an additional $1000 to secure the sink, reconnect the plumbing, replace and install the new faucet.

We purchased tile for both of our bathrooms from here and couldn't be happier. Customer service was great and owner Scott was very helpful. We will be back for any additional flooring needs.

We have been buying carpet and flooring from Jeff at Floor Depot North for several years. Jeff recently supplied us with a high end laminate from Shaw for our whole house (except for the bedrooms and bathrooms). It is soooo beautiful, and it's just gets more beautiful every day. I swear you can't tell it's not real hardwood.
About Jeff, he is the most honest, knowledgeable, and easy going person we have ever dealt with. Jeff's prices are very reasonable in fact I believe they are better than the "big box" stores and you get personal service.

Q is literally the best handy man ever. Ever since the first day I hired him, he has tackled all of the crazy random jobs I've thrown at him quickly and professionally. I don't even feel right calling him a handy man as he is way more than that! On top all of that, he's super sweet. I will miss him and all of his amazing work when he leaves California. Damn you Arizona for stealing Q from us!!

My insurance company assigned them to my claim. Should have known out of the gate that they where not a performing company when they are not allowed to have business cards. Estimator came out, missed items. They sent a second estimator out, who also missed items. Their super came out to look at the project, bashed on their other employees.
Update response to Zach: your company sent a work authorization, which was signed and returned. Your firm tried to collect my deductible, although it was already applied towards the mitigation portion of the claim. You sent your super out to take a look at the project, get selections and go over the repair process. USAA sent you three checks, see attached, seems odd for an estimate only assignment. Why not be honest?
Perhaps USAA and Contractor Connection should be aware of your response as well as service level failure required by your company to be eligible for claims?

Brian and his crew did a great job! We started with a bathroom remodel and added a kitchen remodel, and they finished the job within a few weeks. Brian was very quick to respond and their bid was highly competitive to others.
I wouldn't hesitate to call them again for any future work on our home.

We loved what Builders Flooring & Design did for us in our kitchen! We bought some granite, and wanted it cut to fit our existing counter tops. We had a company come to cut the granite, but in the middle of the job we realized they made it so our sink was not centered with the cabinets or the window- it looked horrible. They also cut part of the granite off that was suppose to stay bull nosed. We told them what we wanted, I think they even wrote it down, and then they decided to do whatever they wanted. We let them go.
We had heard good things about Builders Flooring & Design so they were our next call. We got in touch with Nik at Builders Flooring & Design, and he came out that same day with another gentleman. They took measurements, listened to us, and then helped us figure out what our best option would be to save the remaining granite we had, and fix the un-centered sink. I was so frustrated about the expense of the lost granite, and really appreciated Nik's calm demeanor and willingness to help us. They got to work right away, did everything we asked them to do, and the kitchen granite looks absolutely amazing. I highly recommend Builders Flooring & Design to anyone who wants the job done right and in a timely manner. Thank you so much!

I needed a new contractor to do some renovations on our new home so we turned to Yelp and and found shepherd contracting. We used Thomas and his team when my new home needed some updating. The communication was above and beyond. We love our new bathrooms and will post updated photos soon!

I had an outdoor patio wall commissioned through them and it came out spectacular! They put up the wall quickly and efficiently, and I was really impressed with the work! Will be returning to finish patio floor and likely much more!

Great communication, quality service, thorough cleaning, went back and worked on stains that I had pointed out and even gave me a bottle of cleaner before he left. I'm a big fan and I won't think twice to call again next time the carpets need a good cleaning. And oh yeah, he even did a couple throw rugs for me at no extra charge.
Can't go wrong...absolutely recommended.

Decided to go with Handyman Connection for a bathroom remodel project after getting a very fair estimate from Ali. Basically demo'd a small shower and toilet bathroom and start from scratch. Ali, the project leader also, came around occasionally, did the replumb on the shower and install a faucet and two toilets and did some other things above and beyond as well All the tile guys (3 total) did a fantastic job putting in and repairing some other tiles around the house (including a couple saltillo tiles on the patio no charge). The glass mosaic tile in the shower looks amazing, along with the new curb and niche installed. Everyone involved was very courteous, prompt (mostly) and very efficient, and wore masks when appropriate. Since I supplied most of the materials, tile and fixtures, I got out just paying labor and some materials for around 6k (not bad at all for a two week job basically. Although I missed a $500 Valpack coupon I could have applied after I paid. DOH!). Overall, much better, in my case, than paying a contractor probably twice as much! I absolutely recommend this company for any size project. Thanks everyone at Handyman Connection, well played!

WOMEN BEWARE
Do not book services through them. At first, this family business seemed like a great option for me, as I needed to use my vinyl for them to repair and redo my stairs. As a first time homebuyer, I was lost and really needed guidance about what to do.
1. The stairs originally had carpeting with a skirt. Where the skirt was, the drywall was damaged from pulling the carpet off. They told me to replace drywall and THEN they would do stairs. I did that for $500 and then when they finished the stairs, they left the drywall completely damaged again (see pic) the risers were also left completely unpainted, saying they don't do drywall or painting. I ended up paying $470 more again after the project was complete to finish paint and drywall. I later learned that a stair skirt would've solved my issues. I was never offered that and now it's too late. Why was the job not finished??? Why wasn't I given my options of a stair skirt?
2. My initial project start date was pushed out over two weeks because the installer had a family thing. When they gave me notice, it was for the next day at 7am. I WFH and had to move a lot of meetings (which is okay! I would rather get this project done). Well at 12pm I had an important meeting that could not be moved, I asked the installers to take a 1/2 hour break. I got a scathing email from Marilyn basically saying "you don't tell our workers to stop working!" -- how do you let your installers work partially outside in AZ without a break....
3. I had to bring my own materials to their office (40 min away) and had to get things measured 2x. I also ordered a doorway reducer which was completely left off the project and never made. When I asked about it, they made me try and measure the doorway and bring them materials--isn't that a contractors job? How am I supposed to measure the height of tile vs vinyl in a doorway (which is millimeters) isn't this part of the service?
4. Installers were not made aware of a specific area to do, so when I said "yes that part is included" I got yet another scathing email from Michael / Marilyn saying that I was telling the installers to do extra work. They clearly have communication issues.
5. When installers came back to redo some vinyl that was lifting, they tried to guilt trip me, saying "we did this area and didn't know we were not supposed to do it so we never got paid" -- sounds like their employers problem.
6. When I tried to get them to come back and fix that spot, Michael called me and absolutely BERATED me on the phone. I'm not kidding-- my whole family witnessed it. He yelled at me saying I was trying to cheat them out of the project. What I was simply trying to say (and could not get out because the owner Michael was literally SCREAMING at me. ) was that I was not going to pay until they came back and made a reducer and fixed the lifting vinyl. They wanted me to again run the materials up and measure myself for their communication lapse (I have emails to prove I included a reducer). He stated he would send his lawyer after me if I didn't pay ASAP --again project was not complete.
To the installers: please create your own business on Thumbtack so you don't have to work for this company. You work hard and seem to not be treated as well as you could.
Overall, if you are a women or someone who does not know a lot about Millworking, please please look to book elsewhere. I am traumatized from Michael screaming at me and the communication between multiple family members and installers for this project was an absolute mess. I ended up letting them know that I could only email from them on. STAY AWAY!!!!! Get everything in writing!!!!!

I had a water leak under the floor in my bathroom resulting in the entire bathroom having to be ripped out. Shower, tub, floor drywall, etc. Patterson homes did an incredible job of putting it all back together and I have to give special kudos to Spencer who is so great to work with. Any time I needed to get a hold of him I would text and he would respond right away. He was totally on top of all the contractors that had to come and go for various parts of the repair/renovation. I really appreciate all the effort he put into getting this bathroom repairedand it's now better than it was before.

Highly satisfied first time customer! I found Express Flooring at a home and garden show. The gentlemen were happy and perky at the booth, which was nice compared to some other vendors who shrugged me off, losing a sale. The in home quote process was relaxed and straight forward. No high pressure. I told them what I wanted to spend and they gave me several options to choose from, which was nice because I wanted to stretch my project budget as far as possible in my new house. Single mom, first time home owner. I was super impressed with scheduling, and they were able to accommodate my days off within a week's time. The installers were great, did a detailed job and kept the place clean as they worked. Thanks again!
