Best Flooring Contractors in Phoenix, AZ

Do not book services through them. At first, this family business seemed like a great option for me, as I needed to use my vinyl for them to repair and redo my stairs. As a first time homebuyer, I was lost and really needed guidance about what to do.

1. The stairs originally had carpeting with a skirt. Where the skirt was, the drywall was damaged from pulling the carpet off. They told me to replace drywall and THEN they would do stairs. I did that for $500 and then when they finished the stairs, they left the drywall completely damaged again (see pic) the risers were also left completely unpainted, saying they don't do drywall or painting. I ended up paying $470 more again after the project was complete to finish paint and drywall. I later learned that a stair skirt would've solved my issues. I was never offered that and now it's too late. Why was the job not finished??? Why wasn't I given my options of a stair skirt?
2. My initial project start date was pushed out over two weeks because the installer had a family thing. When they gave me notice, it was for the next day at 7am. I WFH and had to move a lot of meetings (which is okay! I would rather get this project done). Well at 12pm I had an important meeting that could not be moved, I asked the installers to take a 1/2 hour break. I got a scathing email from Marilyn basically saying "you don't tell our workers to stop working!" -- how do you let your installers work partially outside in AZ without a break....
3. I had to bring my own materials to their office (40 min away) and had to get things measured 2x. I also ordered a doorway reducer which was completely left off the project and never made. When I asked about it, they made me try and measure the doorway and bring them materials--isn't that a contractors job? How am I supposed to measure the height of tile vs vinyl in a doorway (which is millimeters) isn't this part of the service?
4. Installers were not made aware of a specific area to do, so when I said "yes that part is included" I got yet another scathing email from Michael / Marilyn saying that I was telling the installers to do extra work. They clearly have communication issues.
5. When installers came back to redo some vinyl that was lifting, they tried to guilt trip me, saying "we did this area and didn't know we were not supposed to do it so we never got paid" -- sounds like their employers problem.
6. When I tried to get them to come back and fix that spot, Michael called me and absolutely BERATED me on the phone. I'm not kidding-- my whole family witnessed it. He yelled at me saying I was trying to cheat them out of the project. What I was simply trying to say (and could not get out because the owner Michael was literally SCREAMING at me. ) was that I was not going to pay until they came back and made a reducer and fixed the lifting vinyl. They wanted me to again run the materials up and measure myself for their communication lapse (I have emails to prove I included a reducer). He stated he would send his lawyer after me if I didn't pay ASAP --again project was not complete.

To the installers: please create your own business on Thumbtack so you don't have to work for this company. You work hard and seem to not be treated as well as you could.

Overall, if you are a women or someone who does not know a lot about Millworking, please please look to book elsewhere. I am traumatized from Michael screaming at me and the communication between multiple family members and installers for this project was an absolute mess. I ended up letting them know that I could only email from them on. STAY AWAY!!!!! Get everything in writing!!!!!

I love my polished concrete floor! It is life changing to be rid of the nasty carpet and have quick clean up and durable floors with three kids and a dog. Very easy to clean up! These guys were prompt and very professional! I would recommend them to anyone.

I had this company come do laminate flooring, base boards and door mouldings at our house.  They did a great job and they did it quickly and for a really reasonable price. I will definitely recommend them.

These guys are great I've used the to day some minor repairs in the past and just recently used them to replace my floors in my home. They did a great job I couldn't be happier with my new hardwood floors they look great. Thanks Frank!!!

We had 4 bedrooms redone with beautiful wood plank flooring. All the furniture was moved, old carpets were removed, beautiful flooring installed and furniture put back into place. Everything was cleaned up afterwards as well. Such an easy process beginning to end. Having the samples brought to the house made the color choice so easy. Not having to drag samples back and forth to the stores was priceless!! I highly recommend this company and the professionals associated with the company.

We hired Josh and team to install flooring to match our main areas and extend into the bedrooms.  In our view the price was fair, and the work done was on time and executed very well.  It is fairly rare that a contractor shows up on time, stays on budget and finishes on time.  In our case the work was done faster than we anticipated, which is a great bonus.

We are glad we used Bare Renovation.

I've had these guys do tile work in our rental house, Payson house and Valley house.  I've been happy with all the work done  The Payson house had some exceptional challenges and the results were perfect.  Good group of guys, I would recommend them.

I visited Arizona floors in February and found many choices in tile and carpet for my home. Leisa helped me make great choices. The installers did a great job. They were very clean and punctual. I will be using them for my granite counter tops next.

Oko and Sal did our backsplash and did it perfectly. They even uncovered an earlier flaw and took steps to address that. They worked efficiently and finished on time. Upon a follow-up involving a cracked tile, Oko came back on the next day and expertly repaired it. Their results were flawless and they were willing to deal too. We're saving his card for future tile projects. Highly recommended.

That person has no relation to this company whats so ever he hasnt been employed with this company since december of 2018. Hard Rock Tile and Stone did truly impressive work for me recently when they installed the tiles in my walk-in shower. I was pleased with the honesty and caring attitude of the owner, Blake Jolley.  He frequently checked in with me to be sure that I was satisfied at each step of the process.
Not only that, but I found their price to be reasonable,  their customer service excellent,  and their work to be professional. They were always responsive to my questions and concerns, and the installers did an excellent job.
They also were very willing to take back unused materials and deduct the cost from my bill, which is a testament to their honesty.   I highly recommend this business to anyone who needs tile or stone work, and I will not hesitate to call them if I need this type of work again.

Requested a quote from Mark Hamilton. After a few day of nothing I called him to make sure he got my email. Said he did and would have a quote out to me by the end of the day. A few day later after that with nothing from him I emailed him to let him know I needed a quote by the end of the day. This was his email back to me.
"You sit on this for 2 years and then all of a sudden it's a biggest hurry up thing there is. I have other customers besides you that do work with me on a constant basis. I'm sorry but I work the field and the office as well. So why don't you just go ahead and go with someone else"

Not how you should treat a potential customer, no matter how busy you are.
If this was my employee they would be out the door for something like this.

I highly recommend using Pelleco for your remodeling projects. Sam J  is great to work with but importantly has a very creative mind and comes up with fantastic suggestions to help you design your space. Our team was excellent, led by Daniel,  who was our the project manager. Daniel's attention to detail is great. Pelleco's office staff, led by Becky, is also impressive as she is relentless in making sure everything gets ordered and shipped. Pelleco remodeled our entire home to include kitchen, family room, living and dining room, two bathrooms and laundry room. We interviewed multiple contractors before selecting Pelleco and it was absolutely the best decision.

After months of searching for a contractor to perform repair work at my house, I was luckily referred to Zona Restoration. We had numerous other contractors come to provide bids and none would follow through due to the complexity of the repair project. Shane at Zona was extremely helpful and diligent in finding a contractor to provide a bid on our project. Shane consistently followed-up to provide me status updates and made sure I was taken care of. For anyone who has dealt with contractors, this is highly unusual. A big thanks to Shane for providing consistent and personalized customer service.

Evan and Bryan gave my family and I top service and helped us tremendously, we will refer them out to family and friends. We were greeted upon arrival and glad I came here.

Fraud, criminals, liars, theft, are the words that come to mind when writing about this company.  Do not use this company, they still have not performed the work that was pre-paid days ago and now have yet again scheduled the work to be done for the 3rd time and yet again a no show.  I will be suing this company and I am sure I will win.  I hope whoever reads this post is smart enough to adhere to my advice.  Save yourself the TROUBLE!!!
