Steve was very easy to work with and came out more than once to take measurements in order to give us options for the new system. They completed their work in the timeframe they promised and did a great job.

I decided to hire Desert Diamond for my to fix my AC,/Heat, BIG. Mistake. When the technician came to my house I made it very clear cost was no object and I wanted everything fixed right the first time. The technician went through everything and assured me everything was working properly and it was. The next day my unit was not working and I called Desert Diamond to have them come back out being told their work was under warranty but I was charged another trip charge and received another bill because I was told the problem was unrelated. Fast forward another month and my AC is not working properly. I will never use this company and recommend anyone else who reads this so the same.

Great service & pricing, they have a good follow up for fall & summer service, which is included in the unit price, I purchased a Trane XR16, got rid of 16 year old Goodman, the difference in the units is unbelievable & my APS bill has gone down, won't regret a Trane unit, I am a licensed home inspector In Arizona for last 13 years .

Our Goodman AC unit only 4 years old has been giving us problems for the past 2 years. Our Techs have been great in troubleshooting the problem each time. Even though the unit is only 4 years old the expense to find and fix the problem would cost half the price of a new unit. Our tech gave us detailed information and choices. Once we decided, on wether to fix or replace the unit they were quick to set up our replacement. We also chose a great maintenance plan to maintain our new unit.

They came to perform a basic tune up today. Then attempted to upsell me by hundreds of dollars by typing various frivolous and unqualified/incomplete details of my AC unit on my receipt for the basic cleaning service, mind you that is not what I hired them to do. I contacted the owner of the company, and instead of fixing the receipt for the cleaning I paid them for, he threatened to ruin my life if I didn't pay them his $70 right away, and insulted my spouse over the phone. Please stay far away from them!!!

I came back from vacation to find my air conditioner out. I found this place close by and they had availability at the time I was home with no extra charge. Phenomenal customer service! When our AC went out, all the other companies we called didn't answer or the expected call back never came. Ivan called back in ten minutes. He was extremely courteous and set up an appointment first thing the very next day, with only an hour window. He went straight to work and solved our problem quickly. AC went out at 1030pm, in August in Arizona. Our house was up to 92 degrees!! So we called Desert Diamond Mechanical at 8am. They sent a tech same day - only a $70 charge and part of that is credited if you fix something.

Steve S., an amazing tech shows up in full protection. Mask and show covers. He was very professional and found out the issue within 5-10 minutes. We are renters so he called the landlord and explained it all to her. He then talked to her family member who had more questions. He was nice and really cares that people make the right choices. He gave the option to fix and was realistic of what the could mean or the options for replacement AC. We chose to fix the problem. He said it would be a few hours, but he was done quickly and the air clicked on. Oh what an amazing sound!! Within 10 minutes you could feel that it was on, still hot but improving. One invoice was paid we got a immediate receipt with pictures of the problems, this is part of their inspection.

Its been 3 hours -- house is cooling amazingly. I could not say enough good things about Steve S. and Desert Diamond Mechanical!! We will call them for all needs that they service!

Not only did he find the problem which was my circuit breaker box (which needs repairs), but went beyond in helping me with other matters related to my AC unit. Nothing but stellar things to say about this company! Josh and Martin (I believe these were their names - if not I'll correct) were excellent. Our AC broke last week (it was from 1997) and we needed a new one. They were on time, respectful, efficient in their work, and updated me on their progress the entire time. This may not relate to everyone, but in my past, as a woman, I haven't had the best experiences with guys who install/repair appliances for me. That was absolutely not the case with Desert Diamond. I never felt talked-down-to or disrespected in any way. They were phenomenal and I'm so glad we have a new AC in it before summer arrives. Thank you!!

I would like to take this opportunity to say how pleased I am with Desert Diamond Mechanical. They replaced my stand alone furnace and rooftop unit for a package unit. It took one crane, several technicians and one whole day to get my home up to date with the latest and greatest for my budget. They were pleasant, hardworking and polite. I had two heating/cooler units replaced in the summer to find out they did not replace the old cracked thermostat wiring from the old units. The old units were 18 years old. The wiring was cracked all the way down and had tape in some places to hold the casing together. There was no way that wiring cracked in less then six months. I called them to find out why the wiring was not replaced and I was not given a good reason. I was going to have to have to pay more money to have it replaced but when I called other companies and they said it would have been included in their install...which why would it not be? It also cost me less to have another company replace the wiring then it would have with them. Well one unit quit a few days ago to find out it was the bad wiring that caused it. I had used DDM for several years and didn't trust that my unit was being maintained right each time. I even had one of their service techs ask me how long it had been since I had it cleaned b/c it as so dirty and it had been just a few months before. I should have changed years ago but I kept with them. You are trusting the people working for these companies to do a good job and be honest about things. They have many good reviews but that has not been my experience. I hate leaving a bad review but I am so disappointed in the service I received for a big purchase that I feel I need to let people know of my experience and they can make their own decision from the good and bad reviews. The staff are very nice but I paid good money to have a good job done. I also feel they didn't try to make it right and I am the one who had to deal with a problem that should not have happened this soon. Lesson learned...when you suspect problems early on get someone new. You might have to pay a little more but it will save you headaches.

Though I hired this company to just tell me what is needed, I would highly recommend them. I am quite familiar with repairs and can do many on my own. I knew I didn't need an entirely new AC system just because no air was coming out. Another company came out and lied to me, telling me I needed a whole new AC system. That was wrong. So I called out two other companies and both said all I needed was a fan blower motor. While I hired another firm to do the work, Desert Diamond made a very good impression on me. Honest tech. Knew his stuff. And did not try to upsell for a big commission. Would highly recommend this company. I intend to use them in the future.

Hands downs one of the best service companies I've ever worked with for issues. Our AC has gone twice this summer because it's older and Desert Diamond was able to send a technician the same day. They saved us a few summers ago too. They always answer, are super friendly and helpful, and show up on time. Dakota has been very patient with us and provides excellent service. I don't plan to ever call anyone else for AC issues and will likely use them when it's time to replace the unit.

Today my air conditioner stopped working, the house was getting hotter by the day. I called Desert Diamond at 4:15, this wonder tech by the name of Branden came shortly after 5. That is amazing!!! He went to work right away and within a short period of time he explained everything to me in a way I understood. I was finally one of the unlucky Phoenix residents that had an air conditioning problem in the middle of summer. I always dodged that bullet until this year so I didn't know how much it would temporarily change your life until corrected. Mine crapped out on a Sunday. I called six A/C repair companies. All six said they were available 24/7. Of the six, I received voicemail on three. None of the three have called me back yet, and my initial call was a week ago. Two of the remaining three took my info and said someone would get back to me asap, which again, never received a call back. The last one was Desert Diamond. The person on the phone actually took action by taking my info and telling me the tech would be at my house. Same day visit !!! The tech, Matt was wonderful. He diagnosed the problem correctly, ordered the part, and returned to install it and get the A/C running again by Tuesday. Advise for all consumers out there - when in dire need of help, use Desert Diamond when the chips are down. Matt and team will come through for you !!!

Desert Diamond is the BEST! They just completed installing our new heating and air conditioning system along with adding more insulation into the attic. What a Great experience! Very professional and on time.

As a long-time customer of another vendor, we could not get through to even leave a message with them when our AC failed on Saturday evening. Tried our old vendor again on Sunday, 7/4, with no luck. Did some quick investigation of other companies and came across Desert Diamond Mechanical and gave them a call.

Not only did they pick-up, there was actually someone on the other end to get us on the schedule for later in the day. JD called a few hours later and was on his way. He was polite, very professional, and successfully got us back up and running with minimal fuss. JD also gave us some great advice on how to prevent a recurrence of our issue in the future.

When I find a professional I can trust, I am very loyal. I'm now considering switching vendors after such great and TIMELY customer service. I definitely would recommend Desert Diamond Mechanical (and JD) to anyone looking for such service.

We were desperately trying to get our AC company to call back. We ended calling DDM. We needed a tech to connect the electrical after our new roof was completed and within 2.5 hrs, Ivan was here, fixed our AC and recommended a follow up for PVC drain. We have been using this company for almost two years now, and every single interaction with them (from the office people, managers, and technicians) has been professional and satisfactory. They have worked with my family and our unique situation, and we been 100% satisfied with them.

The only issue we have ever had was an appointment/installation/fix taking longer than we were told or expected. However, the techs themselves weren't expecting it to have taken as long and they were very apologetic as well as professional about it. They were working hard the whole time, so it wasn't a matter of them slacking off or being lazy. These things happen sometimes and they are out of the control of us customers and the techs.

As with any company, they may not be the right fit for you or they may not be what you want but for us, they have been fantastic. Their service really is great and we will be sticking with Desert Diamond for a long time.

We have used this company for the last few years and they always do such a good job. They recently installed a new AC unit which has been running very well, but we ran into a small issue a few months later. I called and told them what was going on and explained that it is not an emergency, so no need to rush. They still were able to get me an appointment very quickly - JD showed up on time, did some fast problem solving and communicated the issue very well. Steve from Desert Diamond came out to give us an estimate on replacing our A/C unit. We have had several people come out to quote on this. Steve was the most detailed on his explanation and why we were having issues with temp differences within the home. He provided us with several options and explained the difference and value of each. We were impressed with his presentation. I would highly recommend that when it comes time to get quotes for a new A/C unit that you include these guys as one of the companies giving you a quote. His quote for a 14 seer and 17 seer 2 stage unit were more competitive than the competition. By the way these guys are approved vendor with rebates from APS. Not the $200 you usually hear about but the big rebates going on because of Covid.

Based on all the great reviews, I scheduled tune ups for my 2 older Trane units. The tech was on time, polite, and professional. This is not the problem. The problem is the pricing policy they use.
Issue 1 - even though I already agreed to pay $89 per unit for the tune ups, the tech, upon finding 2 capacitors near catastrophic failure (80% out of tolerance) quoted me $220 each to replace them. Note that he had taken them off the equipment to measure them, took photos and put them back on! (OEM capacitors are $10 each and the upgraded ones suggested are about $15).
Issue 2- refrigerant check found I needed an estimated 2.5 lbs of r-22. The quote for this was $525!
This gas is being phased out and is not used in newer machines. BUT it is readily available in amounts as small as 2 lbs. at a local company for $40 per lb. Thousands of machines use this.
Shocked to my socks at these prices, I declined the quoted work, and paid the $180 for the tune ups only.
I emailed my concerns to Desert Diamond and subsequently spoke with Cody to understand how they could defend what I believe to be outrageous prices and practice. Cody defended this as due to a flat rate policy, overhead, truck roll etc.. which made no sense as the overhead and truck roll should have already been covered by the tune up charge, which was high in itself.
I subsequently bought the OEM caps from Amazon and replaced them myself. I had another company do summer tune ups again (I did not tell them about the 1st company work or quotes) and finding I needed only 1lb. of refrigerant charged me $179 for the total 2 unit check and gas.
Bottom line..beware.

Our tech, Ryan, showed up right on time today and quickly diagnosed the issue. .

The final repair will require one additional visit, however he quickly communicated this back to the central office and THEY called to confirm that appointment.

Meanwhile, he recharged the AC system so we have cool for now.

By the way, this is a mini split air air conditioning unit in the garage only not the main house.

I highly recommend Desert Diamond Mechanical.

Integrity is everything for my family.

Desert Diamond has earned my families trust today. So in Oct 2019 we had a company out because we our unit wasn't cooling. I'm not gonna go into the details for time sake. The company quoted us a replacement part and said they did a temporary work around to last us till the repair. Well we put in on hold since it was October and planned to do it in the Spring. Spring came around and COVID hit, which occupied our minds. We forgot to follow up. Well fast forward to this week. Of course a few of our neighbors are having HVAC issues. And I saw this man from Desert Diamond on my neighbors roof working on the unit and it was well after 6pm on a Saturday. I walked the dog out normal route and on my way back saw the man getting his stuff in his truck. So I decided on a whim to ask him a for his card. I said hey I know it's late and I'm sure you want to get home with how hot it is but I live over there and we had a problem with our A/C a while ago, can I have your card he's like oh it's no problem It's no bother at all I'm gonna be workin a little while on this and then he brought me his card. His demeanor and response gave me those good gut feelings. So I called yesterday/Tuesday to be proactive for a 2nd opinion. They were able to schedule me the next day!! Yes!! NEXT DAY, in THIS season! I was shocked.

So he came today. I showed him the quote from 2019. Gave him some back story and the problem we had and what we were told. He then went on the roof. Came back down. And he gave us great news!!!! He said looking at it I don't see anything and I would feel uncomfortable telling you to replace it because it's working fine which took my by surprise. It was honest the honesty and integrity for me. He was very personable. He was doggie friendly and super knowledgeable. And I grew up with a HVAC/mechanic/military/ jack of all trades for a dad. We talked for a little while. And we decided to go with their 2 year maintenance package!!! Home ownership is all fun and games until you live in AZ and your air goes out in the summer. And now I feel safe and comfortable we won't ever run into that situation because Ryan took care of us.

I'm here tooting their horn. I don't often do these reviews but I know that their industry is riddled with a bad wrap, everyone is looking for a trusted advice from and expert, so a lot of us just accept our date and go with it without doing more research. Then they find out they were bamboozled.

So I'm here to tell you if your looking for a great company, with fantastic ownership, honesty, respect, and great service people. THIS IS IT!!

The air conditioner that was purchased a couple years ago for $6,500. Went out this summer. The tech says there is no warranty for this poorly made part from China! $1,500 to fix it!! Buyer beware. They lie and inflate prices. Especially when its 113 degrees in AZ they know you will fix it right away so they gouge you.

Really psyched on this company! Someone came to repair our AC after hours and at very reasonable cost. When asked if he was on call all night, he explained that actually his 8 hour shift just ran from 1-10, and he felt grateful to work for a company that respected its workers in this way. I have been calling Steve personally ever since he gave us a quote for a new AC. I didn't buy an AC from them originally but did remember Steve and his honesty. A couple years later I did have the need to replace my AC and went with a Bosch unit from DD. Since then I have relied on Steve to service all 3 units on my house. I used Desert Diamond's services a few years again on another home for an A/C replacement and was happy with their prompt service.

My review is for my most recent experience: My upstairs A/C went out and my tenant decided to call Desert Diamond for a repair. They were pretty prompt to come out (the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1) and look at our unit and assessed that a line was blocked, supposedly fixed that and recommended a new A/C. The A/C still wasn't working well after the repair and I just assumed that it was because I needed a new A/C unit ASAP. Their A/C quote prices were quite high, so I decided to get another quote for A/C. I got better quotes elsewhere and decided to go with another highly rated company. Since the other company provides a temp solution until they are able to install, they sent a tech out to find a solution for my tenant. Turns out the tech from Desert Diamond was wrong and there was a completely different issue (valve not working properly) than the one that he supposedly fixed. The tech from the other company had the A/C up and running with my current unit. After this experience, I recommend getting another opinion before being talked into a new A/C from Desert Diamond.

Horrible clean up. The buyers of my house had them out to investigate the HVAC. The rep got up in the attic and left his blanket and didn't put anything back. To top it off insulation is now blowing through my vents which has never happened in the 2+ years I've lived here. Would not recommend this company.

I had my entire HVAC system (2 units) removed and replaced with Trane units. Desert Diamond was honest and up front from the beginning and provided a very competitive/professional quote. Cody gave me the original quote, he was absolutely great, he even took calls when off and kept his promises. The installation crew I couldn't have been happier with. They were neat, clean and professional. The quality of the work was unbelievable, and I am very picky. I absolutely love my new Trane units. Anthony recently came out for my first year inspection/tune up included in the installation, he was very thorough and polite. Today, Mario came to check on a slight rattle and quickly diagnosed and fixed it. Mario was very friendly, courteous and thorough. And lastly, the ladies in the office have always been very polite and have provided the best customer service I've ever experienced. That's very rare to find with an HVAC company. I very highly recommend Desert Diamond for any HVAC services.

One of our air conditioners quit on us. Desert Diamond was the second company I had called for an estimate.

-Very friendly office and they send you both email and text reminders for the appointment.
-Cody came out on a Friday within 2 hours of my initial call! He was extremely knowledgeable and was patient explaining things to me
- I received the emailed estimate before he even pulled away. The estimate was $3000 less than the previous estimate I had received.
- Cody came back out on Monday to take measurements and scheduled my install for Tuesday morning
- The installation team was super friendly, arrived on time and did a great job. They were thorough and I was very pleased with their work

When I called Desert Diamond I requested that an AC technician troubleshoot a recurring problem with my AC unit. As the outside temp increased to 100 deg , the compressor would shut off intermittently and the air handler would continue to work. Mario, the AC tech, arrived yesterday afternoon and most importantly he LISTENED to my description of the problem. When he tested the unit's capacitor he noticed an irregularity that was only visible for a few seconds and then its functioning was back to normal. With no pressure placed on me to purchase a new capacitor, he indicated that it could be contributing to the problem. I authorized replacement of the part. The result was amazing. The home is cool, the AC compressor is working well and I'm a happy customer. Thank you Desert Diamond for hiring this competent technician who listens!

This is a copy of your invoice. Your price for the capacitors is not on there since your tech wouldn't write it down. I ask for a cleaning nothing more. Your tech went for the upsale right off the bat. Did not service the unit at all. He quoted 453.00 per capacitor plus tax. I have no reason to lie. I get nothing out of that. All I wanted was to get the unit cleaned nothing more. So my review stands.

Worst Experience Ever. After choosing this company based on price median with 4 different companies. Experience went downhill with install!! Didn't get the estimated or quoted service and when I brought it to the ATTN of the manager he basically back peddled as to why the service that was encouraged was not needed. And to add insult to energy I don't believe I've ever received so many apologies from a company that I paid in cash for a service only to get no resolutions. Just continued insults. When Ernesto came to our home for the initial consultation, he exhibited the utmost professionalism in evaluating our home comfort needs, and in discussing his suggestions for replacement units. He treated us (and our home) respectfully, and answered all of our questions in a direct, honest manner. When it came time to discuss pricing, Ernesto provided a few quotes for us to consider. At no time did we ever feel like he was putting us through a sales pitch. We never felt one ounce of pressure from Ernesto, and we truly appreciate his way of conducting business. It made all the difference in our decision to go with Desert Diamond.

Prior to meeting with Ernesto, we received a quote from another large, heating/cooling company. There was a world of difference in how their sales representative treated us. Unlike Ernesto, their representative put us through a series of obvious sales pitches, meant to pressure us (through guilt) into making a decision at that moment. Ernesto, on the other hand, understood that my wife and I needed time to consider our options, and left our home without ever pressuring us for the sale, or trying to manipulate us through sales techniques.

I recently had 6 insulation companies come by to give me a quote on their services. This company was by far the worst one out of all. The sales guy was not very happy, spent less than 10 minutes at my house, left my access stairs open, didn't ask any questions and left. This vs. 4 companies where the sales guys spent at least 1 hour each with me asking questions and explaining their services and their quote was the 2and highest of all 6 - not worth it in my opinion. Based on the rep's attitude, how would I know they will even do the job right? I would just recommend that people take their time choosing their service providers carefully before proceeding.

I recently had 2 new variable-speed heat pumps installed at my home. This was after having a very disappointing experience with another HVAC company and getting estimates from many others. We just had the Aero Seal Duct sealing done on Friday!!!
WOW!!!
What a difference it makes in terms of improving the cooling in the house.
The master bedroom was previously always so warm and about 4 degrees warmer than the rest of the house and now it actually cools to the desired temperature the thermostat is set at!!!

We requested Ben and Mark as they previously installed a new AC unit last fall and with the AeroSeal duct sealing, they did another AWESOME job.....they are both so professional, courteous and thorough in their work!!!Ben and Mark worked meticulously also to help balance the air throughout the house....

Cody and Jeff are dynamic! I had Desert Diamond come out to my house to repair some items found on my home inspection ( I purchased a new home). Prior to their arrival, the previous owner had already repaired the outstanding items but failed to inform me. When Cody and Jeff arrived to do the work they informed me that it appears the work had already been completed. We looked at the home inspection pictures against the pictures he took and what do ya know....the previous owner did repair it prior to our move in. Cody and Jeff could have very well said that they completed the work and charge me for repairs, but they were completely honest and showed me that the work had already been done and didn't charge me. My husband and I are so pleased with everyone at Desert Diamond. Justin came to do our yearly inspection and noted that there was a leak and the air conditioning unit was 20 years old. He presented the facts and no pressure for us to decide at that moment about a new unit. He was so polite and respectful. We appreciated that so much. We called and spoke to Melanie in the office and she was helpful getting us set up with financing and making sure we understood everything involved with the purchase of a new unit. She was so nice! The manager called me after I post the review. He came to my house to fix them two days later. He explained about the bill clearly and I understand that. Everything is good now. But I just can review 4 stars because of customer service on phone. She did not explain for me .And a guy who I sign the contract did not explain clearly the price total after APR. He told us only over$140 for month when we go this option.

No stars here! Tenant called them when A/C failed. They came promptly, presented estimate for $1,200 and high pressure tactic that parts department was closing early. We declined and paid $70 for diagnostic. Another firm fixed the unit for $375. Only 1 part needed, not 2 & motor as claimed by D.D. Unit still running perfectly 1 month later. Avoid this firm.

We had a severe problem when another a.c. company came and pulled a fast one on my 85 year old mother in Sun City. They took her perfectly good a.c. unit off her house and put a new unit up at $11,000! After a month of arguing to come and get it I had talked to the company's managers about what needed to be done. I was told it wouldn't happen but after talking to corporate managers they came and got it. I called Cody and he came out and gave her a quote for approximately half the costs. The same day they came and removed her over priced unit desert diamond was there and started the process off installing her new unit. I do believe it was Rudy Robert and wade that did the install. I cannot thank Cody and Desert Diamond enough. Our a/c compressor died in the middle of the night on a record heat day. Cody was at my house within 20 minutes of me calling them in the middle of the night. My compressor was under warranty so we had to wait until morning to get the new one. Cody came that day and had cold air blowing very quickly. I am a customer for life now. Service like what we experienced with them is unheard of these days. It's times like this I wish Yelp's review ratings went all the way to 10 because Desert Diamond is definitely deserves it! We are doing construction on my new day spa and my crew informed me on a Sunday that the heater wasn't working... This was a big issue since we needed the plaster on the wall's to dry and it was only 54 degrees in the space. We called Desert Diamond at 8am and our problem was solved before 10am! Tamara was the coordinator we spoke with and her professionalism along with bubbly personality made the whole experience that much better. She was even kind enough to follow-up the next day to see if everything was working great then sent me a email explaining all the details from their visit.

I will definitely be recommending Desert Diamond to anyone and everyone who need Heat or Air repairs.

Had a great experience from the start to finish with this company . I thought I had a Trane , so after getting on their website this is the company they referred me for the Phoenix area . It's a no wonder they have a high rating ! Customer service was great and same day service. But RYAN our technician was so honest and knowledgeable , and fixed our problem . Last summer we had to go through Air Standards sent out from the home warranty company and had 5 different calls out . I can't even begin to tell you the night and day difference from these two companies . I am so glad we found this company and look forward to using them for all our a/c services!

I called to get both of my units checked out and also the attic duct work and zone dampers. Cody can out and did an extremely thorough check of everything. He located a bad capacitor in my 2 year old equipment and when he left all was working in top shape. The customer experience with Joshua H. yesterday was incredible - three other companies were unable to come by after both of our AC stopped pumping cool air...Joshua called me within 30 minutes of my call to the office and was at my home shortly after. Desert Diamond is the best most trustworthy out there! I had multiple issues with my AC unit and had other contractors out (sent by my home warranty company) that couldn't fix the problems. Desert Diamond fixed it fast and were awesome to work with. So when the condensation line on my unit broke I called Desert Diamond to fix it. I called at 4:00pm and they had someone out here at 6:00pm the same day! My service tech was Steve Schilling and he was incredible. I trusted him to fix whatever he felt needed to be fixed. He was very honest about what really needed to be done without trying to up-sell me on anything. I was so happy with him and the company I now have a service contract with them to do all the work on my unit. I highly recommend this company and Steve for any HVAC work you need to have done. Not only can you trust them but they have the best prices around!

I had Desert Diamond give our air conditioner a tune up for the summer months. I could not be more impressed with their service.I got a text message yesterday reminding me about today.Cody called me today telling me he would be here in thirty minutes. He arrived on time. He went over everything he was going to do,then show me the results of the tests. He even washed the coils, which nobody has ever done before. When he finished he went over all the results.He showed me the range where my unit needed to be and where my unit was at. He didn't try to sell me anything, which the other company tried to do a few times. He took his time answering all my questions. I had Kevin, with Desert Diamond, come out for a tune-up of my system today. This was the second time he has been out in a month's time frame. The first time was because I installed a new thermostat myself and found that it was cycling too often. I couldn't figure out why. Keven determined that nothing with the system was wrong and that the giant hole behind the thermostat was causing the problem. He suggested I get the entire system looked at and tuned up at some point in the future. So, I finally got around to having that done and Keven showed up again. He only found a few minor things that I could easily take care of myself. He didn't try and oversell me or convince me to let him do it which I actually really appreciated. Bare in mind my unit is 22 yrs old and while he did mention that fact to me, he didn't try and sell me a knew unit. He just suggested I keep that in mind. Honestly a great experience, on-time, friendly, informative and listened to my findings as well. I would highly recommend these guys.

We were in need of a summer tune-up and of course I went to Yelp to decide who we would use. Saw the awesome reviews for this company and decided to give them a try. Truly could not have been happier. I purchased a new home last year and wanted to have a maintenance contract in place for my heating and cooling system. The previous contractor I worked with was unsatisfactory. A good friend recommended Desert Diamond Heating & Air, so I scheduled an appointment with them to do my winter tune-up. Cody, the Service Tech, was completely professional and so easy to talk with. He explained my options in plain english, and made recommendations to improve my energy efficiency. I called my home warranty provider because I had an A/C issue. The company assigned to my order said they could not make it for several days. Called my warranty people back and they assigned Desert Diamond. I have never been more pleased with an A/C repair company. They were on-time. They were polite. They were well-groomed but even better they were knowledgeable and well prepared for my problem. Moreover they took time to answer all the questions I had. Mind you this was 6:30 on a Friday night and as I was their last call I'm sure they'd have rather been home, but they stayed until I was satisfied. Don't go anywhere else. In this day and age when the Heating and Cooling industry is full of companies ready to rip you off, it was a huge relief to find a company with integrity that walks the talk of excellent customer service. I spent days without my AC when it died, asking various companies to come out to look at it, just to find the right company, and it was well worth it to find Desert Diamond. Their front office staff are a joy to work with, and get to know. When I had trouble scheduling other companies to look at my AC, Desert Diamond told me they would come out whenever I wanted. I ended up deciding to replace the unit, and their technical staff are knowledgeable, and instead of a hand shake, installation, and goodbye, they spent time with me explaining the ins and outs, and I felt that I developed a working relationship with them. And the two-year maintenance that is included let me know they truly believe in their products. The owner, Carlo, is hands-on, and when one of his staff fell ill, and I expected the installation follow-up appointment to be rescheduled, he came out himself to do the inspection. Did you notice I said follow-up? Yes, Desert Diamond comes out to make sure everything is working as it should; no disappearing act for them. I've never liked the vents in this house, but for 15 years, no one has offered a solution. But during the follow-up, I received a recommendation that made sense, was priced right, and I felt that this company would be my partner for life. The owner also did the initial inspection of my dead AC, and when I decided to replace it, he climbed on the roof and through the attic to ensure I would get the right load for my home, and that the ducts were in proper working order. Don't settle for companies who walk in and write out an estimate in 10 minutes based on your existing unit, and then are gone. I had some specific concerns regarding my existing unit, and Desert Diamond offered solutions, and I was pleased to add some inexpensive bells and whistles. And now, two weeks after it was installed, my new AC is exactly what I wanted, quiet, and a large improvement over the old unit, even when it was new. But more importantly, I now have a Heating and Cooling company that I can rely on, and in the Arizona desert, that's peace of mind.

Late on a Saturday afternoon our A/C went out. We called Desert Diamond Mechanical and the lady on the phone was very helpful, but since it was raining outside, she said they cannot send someone out until tomorrow first thing. Steve Schilling arrived early Sunday morning and was able to find the problem and had it fixed in no time. My AC hasn't been working for a few days now. This is the second company I have called for a quite for the repair. Steve Schilling was at my house within an hour of my call and was very professional. The other company had misdiagnosed a leak, Steve was unable to fine said leak and was able to fix the unit by replacing refrigerant. I would recommend desert diamond and Steve to friends and family.
