We had Oscar from M&R do a preventive maintenance on our Trane system. He did a thorough job of checking all systems and answered any question I asked.  I researched many companies and this one came highly rated.  When you need an air conditioning company, don't hesitate to call M&R.

We have a really old AC unit on our casita. Almost 30 years old. They replaced the motor in our compressor last summer.  This week we turned on our AC for the first time this year and found the AC was not working in the casita. They came out the next day and repaired the AC quickly and did not charge us anything since the issue was with the equipment they installed last year.

The workers are always friendly and honest. I will never use another AC company!

This is my second time calling Matt for my AC unit. Oscar came out, was on time, friendly, quick and free of charge threw in a couple of jokes! Hands down my go to AC guys.

I have a mixed review to leave.

I called a few different companies to see if they could help me with my AC issues and most were booked up days in advance. I called M&R and they were able to come out same day. The two technicians that were send out did a wonderful job, and they were able to get me back up and running in a few hours. So as far as their ability to respond quickly and the quality of their work, I find that excellent.

What I find shady, is the owner's reluctance to offer the 10% discount that was advertised on Yelp for repairs over $500.00. When the work was done, and I asked about being able to claim my discount, I was told that they didn't do that. This feels very bate and switch to me. I did notice that the owner changed his Yelp page to reflect removing the discount after the fact. I feel like the honorable thing to do would have been to honor the discount and then remove the advertising if that was not what was intended anymore.

Another neighbor of mine and I  are in the need for an ac replacement for our second unit. I had M and R come out for a quote. I had talked to them previously and another one of our neighbor's had used them and were very pleased.

The owner came out to our neighbor's place and I talked to him as well. He is a great guy. Good help is hard to find and he is looking to build a quality team of individuals who are experienced with good character and work ethics.

This company installs Goodman with a very nice seer rating. They also do things right by installing the communicators and the Ecobee thermostats are included. They will do things right and make any adjustments you need to existing units if you have more than one.

Our neighbor is using them. They were a bit more than our ac guy, and I wanted to stick with the existing brand we have. You will get the full package the way it is meant to be with this company. They say that no matter what unit you have installed that it isn't anything without proper installation and from what I have seen and heard from our neighbors this company is great. His wife is a great support system for him and their team works together well. It has been almost a year since some of out other neighbors used them and they have had good results with their installation, experience and a reduction in electric bills.

These guys are true lifesavers. My AC died out during middle of the night and it was hot af (over 110 degrees). While other companies did not even respond to me, Matthew was extremely responsive. Within an hour (on the same day), a technician arrived and fixed my issue immediately. Daniel was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. No upsells and 100% honesty. Price was reasonable and they were extremely reliable. I will be using them from now on. Thank you M&R Refrigeration. Highly recommended! A++

We had a tenant without AC; M & R came out on a late Friday and assessed the situation and came up with a game plan. They came out the very next day (Saturday) and installed a new split unit. My tenants spent one day in a hotel and I was able to leave on vacation as planned. They sent updates and pictures, the tenants stated it's the best unit they've ever had.

After a disaster of being Parker and Sons family subscription and being ripped off by their upsales and bad repair technicians, we set out for new a/c servic. M&R booked us quick! Great experience with Oscar from M&R! Oscar was patient going over this long-term issue I've had with my AC. I've had several AC repair companies out to fix the same issue, and it never has been resolved. Oscar went over the function that delivers the cooling and explained where things that are going wrong and needs to be addressed. They responded the same day and in the evening. The visit was more consultative, than sales. I appreciate that from Oscar and his team. I highly recommend M&R to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, consultative and professional AC company!

A/C went out on a Wednesday evening. We called M&R and they dispatched Tim to us within an hour. He identified the problem and fixed it right away. My heater would not turn on, and I called M&R refrigeration at 4:45pm on a Friday.  They had a tech at my house within the hour and the heat was running again by 6:30.  My technician, Daniel, found the problem quickly and corrected it straight away.  I am so thankful for the excellent service!

Wow - Awesome team, Amazing Service and Dedication to making it be done right. Thank you for showing up so late in the evening, My Gosh what commitment!
I gave them an early out to come the next day given they were working since 3:30am that morning. He stopped by fixed us and was out at 10PM!

Who does this???? He still had two more stops!!!!

No question but that when we get these 14 yr old units replaced, the ONLY ones we will call will be M&R. He uses units made out of TX and they are solid as my best friend replaced his units 2 yrs ago. He loves the units.

I had an excellent experience!  I sent a message to M & R via Yelp after 5pm on a Sunday night and received a reply message within 10 minutes...this is also during COVID....I had an air conditioning issue in a rental property.  Matthew, the owner was extremely prompt, very efficient and professional.  He was able to go out to property, repair, the same day, for a fair price.

I'll deifianty reach out to M & R Refrigeration next time I need help or AC maintenance.

We had M&R Refrigeration come to do repairs on our air conditioning units recently and they fit us into their schedule quickly. The two technicians who were sent to our home, Oscar and Aaron, were very professional and pleasant. Also, my husband and I thought their prices were reasonable.

This is the first time I have ever written a review and the only reason I have decided to share my experience is due to the fact that it exceeded all expectations!!
First of all when I placed my first call to M&R I received a call back from the owner Matthew before I completed my voice message. Already an above average start.
Then (and the main reason for this review) is a tech by the name of Daniel Reyes showed up at my door. He arrived right on time and was very friendly. He answered all my questions (and I had a ton of them) and then he diagnosed my A/C issue. He quickly fixed the problem and then this is where he revived my faith in great service. I had left out my own ladder, vacuum and extension cord and while I was downstairs waiting on Daniel he actually wound up the cord, brought the ladder down the stairs for me and he even vacuumed below the attic entry. I couldn't believe it. The most impressive thing is he didn't announce multiple times what he had done. He just did it and wasn't looking for pats on the back. Incredible!! I would encourage any and all who need A/C service to give this company a call.
I hope if you took the time to read this review you will also regain hope that there are a few companies out there that still employ honest hard working employees like Daniel.

I called and spoke to Matthew. We set an appointment so he could take a look at our AC system that didn't seem to be cooling properly even though it was only two years old. He showed up on time. He identified the issue, clearly explained it and resolved it. I highly recommend this company.

We own a home that we rent out when are not using it, and wanted to try preventing any problems from arising when we aren't around, so based on the reviews seen here, we had M&R out to do a preventative maintenance visit. Oscar arrived when he said he would, was very polite, and gave an explanation of what he would be doing. He invited me to watch as he went through things as well if I was interested, which I was since I am a bit of a DIYer. He explained as he did the electrical tests on all the motors and capacitors in both the heating and cooling systems. He found one capacitor that he said was out of specification and on its way to failure, but may still work for awhile. He gave us the option of replacing it now, or waiting to see if we could get some more time out of it. He gave us a reasonable price for replacing it now, which we decided to do rather than have to pay for a service call at a later date. Oscar washed out the AC condenser coils last to keep from dragging any mess that might have made into the house. Nice to see a service person taking those things into consideration. He ended the service by asking if we had any questions or concerns about our system, and stated that while our systems are older, they are both in good working condition, and would probably last quite some time yet. We would highly recommend this company, and Oscar in particular!

My HVAC repairman left town so I was in the market for a new company. I was looking for a dependable company, veteran-owned, affordable, and honest with no up-sell that you find with the big companies. After my first preventive appointment, I'd say that M&R is my new HVAC company. My service technician, Oscar, was very knowledgeable, pointing out things I never knew about my system. The service call, which included a check of my A/C and heating systems, ran me $89. I'll definitely reschedule with M&R for my HVAC needs.

The air conditioner was not working in our business. The service call guy came very fast he was friendly and checked it out found out what the problem was which was a bad fuse and was able to get it up and running quickly. The cost was fair and the service was great and we always like to support local small businesses like ourselves.

My A/C went out and after calling Matt, he arranged to have a technician out in a few hours.  The tech pinpointed the issue as the capacitor and offered to install it immediately.  Since our unit is old, we decided to replace it rather than waiting for another part to fail.  The Tech was refreshingly transparent about the purchase and installed the new part so we could stay cool.  Amazing that they were able to complete the installation the next day.  Cleaned up afterwards and were very professional.  Today we are sitting in our cool and comfy house.  The new unit comes with a 10 year parts and labor warranty, so no more air conditioning concerns hanging over our heads.  I would definitely recommend them for repairs and replacements.

Aaron showed up on Friday night, troubleshooting why the furnace kept shutting off for limit switch. Couldn't figure it out that night, made it a point to come back and get the job done. He figured it out Saturday morning and had the furnace back and running again.

M & R was my 2nd opinion. I'm glad I did that, because the other big name in town came in Thursday night, and told me the flue was clogged causing the stoppage. M&R told me they had the tools to clean the flue but wanted to re-diagnose just in case. 5-10 minutes in, Aaron told me the flue was clear, and he would continue troubleshooting.

One month ago Matthew and his associate Aaron arrived first thing in the morning to install a ductless a/c and heating unit in my 720 sq. ft. garage in Scottsdale.  The goal was to reduce the 110F+ furnace temperatures inside during summer to make the space a usable workshop and to reduce heat damage to the many rubber parts in my old machines.  Matthew helped me spec the appropriate unit and also advised on insulation issues.  The work was completed by the evening.

This was a 'turnkey' installation, meaning that M&R Refrigeration did all the procurement, installation and related electrical work.  I procured attic insulation separately and insulated the insides of the garage doors myself.

The whole experience showed this contractor to be of the highest integrity and skill.  Pricing was fair and competitive. Everything was done exactly as promised, with strict compliance with the timetable.  There was no damage to exterior stucco or internal drywall. Communication was clear and the pre-inspection process was done carefully to ensure that there were no surprises when it came to installation.

It is 100F outside as I write, and I am returning to the garage in a few minutes to turn some wrenches in 76F comfort.

M&R's work comes with a 10 year hardware and a 10 year labor warranty.

I recommend M&R Refrigeration without any reservations.

BACKGROUND STORY: After having my a/c go out on Saturday, my tech was busy until Monday, so I called another company (not M&R) for Emergency services, and they showed up (was supposed to be in 1 - 1.5 hrs, but turned into the next morning :-( ). Turns out a fuse had blown, so the tech replaced it.

Well, a few hours later, my a/c quit working again :-( . So, I called the company that I used earlier. But, they wanted another Service call fee + an additional fee to find out what the problem was. Needless to say, I told them no.

So, I suffered Sat (not too bad), Sun (worse, but tolerable), and on Monday, my regular tech came out and fixed the problem. :-)

Unfortunately, a little later on, my a/c started blowing warm air. So, I called my guy (19 years in the industry and 14 years of taking care of my a/c), and he came back out. While he couldn't find the exact problem, he got it blowing cold again. 8-)

BUT, a little later (after he left of course), it not only started blowing warm air again, it was cycling off-on without reaching the temperature on the thermostat (keep in mind, my place was in the 90s to 102 since Sat.

So, on the 3rd visit, my guy was really perplexed as to why it was acting the way it was. And, suggested that I get a new a/c :-( , and it would cost between $5,000 - $7,000.00 :-o :-x . And, I suffered another night without a/c.

On Tuesday morning, and after getting a recommendation from my guy (not M&R), I called the guy. But, he couldn't come out until the following morning, with install being either on Fri, or Mon. Yikes!

So, I turned to Yelp. :-)

Now, Yelp sent my info to 4 different companies, and I heard back from 3 (including M&R) pretty quickly. The one company included by Yelp has a 24 hour reply time. :-o And, imo, should never have been part of the referral process.

1 of the companies wanted more information. And, I provided that. However, they could not get out until late Tuesday night, or 1st thing Wed morning, with the install on Friday.

The other company was supposed to show up on Wed morning, but was able to move it up to early Tuesday afternoon. 8-) (I did write a review for them).

While this company did have a very competative price, he would not have a portable a/c available until the next morning :-( , with install being within 1 to 3 days (no problem, with a portable a/c unit inside. but, waiting until the next morning for it...).

M&R REVIEW STARTS: Well, at about the same time, I get a text from Matthew at M&R (oh-oh, a chance of competitors encountering each other at my place; but they missed each other).

So, about 4:00PM, Matthew shows up, he looks around, and gave me an estimate for the new unit (2 yr Part & Labor Warranty, 5 yr Parts Warranty on the Furnace, 10 yr Parts Warranty on the outside Condenser). So, I asked, When can it be done? His reply? Today..

Say, what?

Today.

Let's do it! And, we shook hands.

So, on Tuesday, with inside temperatures hitting 107 8-o (I took a lot of cold showers), M & R (Matthew + 2 or 3 other guys) shows up a little before 6:00PM, and worked until 9:42.

However, they did not have all the parts to connect the furnace (a/c was up and running! Yes! Thank God, too!). So, they had to come back out the next afternoon, to finish the job.

So, On Wed afternoon, a little after 2, Matthew and 1 guy were back to finish the work. YEA!!!!

Now, there is, unfortunately, one down side to buying a new a/c from M & R that may deter some people from using them. And, that is, the Finance Company they use. The company DOES NOT offer any good deals (e.g.: 0% for 3 years). It would have been at least 20% APR. :-(

So, I thought about paying by c/c, but because c/c companies charge a per transaction fee, 3% would be added to the cost. :-(

Now, not only is Matthew and company hardworking and honest (I mean, we did this deal on a hand shake; nothing was signed until the job was done), there one AWESOME thing (actually more than 1 thing ;-) ) about Matthew. I told him, Now, if needed, I will use the credit card. However, I can pay by check, but I had to sell some stocks, and it may take a few days for the funds to be there. Would you hold the check a few days?

He replied, Sure. No problem. It saves me the credit card fee, too. 8-) And, he even wrote on the Work Order, Hold check until Monday.

And, this morning (Thursday), I found that the funds were available. So, I sent Matthew a DM through Yelp to let him know that the funds were available.

Now, if you want great, and near immediate service, definitely give M&R Refrigeration a try. But, do keep in mind the issue about the cost of getting a new unit.

Like always when you least expect it your A/C goes out on an extended holiday weekend!!!!
This turned out to be a positive experience, when put it out that we needed service on our A/C and we did get a few responses not knowing any of the companies we chose M&R refrigeration.
They reached out to us right away gave us a very reasonable service call quote, their work ethic is impeccable. They called as they said they would, kept us in the loop of their schedule so that we weren't tied up all day the work was great they got us up and running in no time ( they carried the parts) haces us a warranty and made a few suggestions to help us in the future.
These are the type of services we long for and I know who we are going to call and recommend, thank you Matthew,

My ac went out again after having a bunch of work done by three different people in a year.
It's a Sunday and I called 4 other people  Who were not available before finding M & R.  He came out within a few hours and fixed some fuze  That had been broken and Jerry rigged with tape by a prior person.  I will definitely use them again I didn't feel like I was being sold,  He was very straightforward and honest

Was looking to have my AC serviced before summer hit. M&R had the highest rating and I can see why. Jessie was my technician that arrived that day, called to let me know he was running behind. Honestly I didn't expect him to make it that day (it was almost 5pm) but he arrived and was super polite and professional. Serviced my AC, explained what was worn and measured how well it was functioning. Extremely pleased with Jessie and M&R when the time comes to replace my system this will be the company I call.

This is truly a 5 Star company. They have all friendly people and always charge less then I expect. Today they came out, same day service and got me up and running for my 25 guests tonight. On a Saturday at 5:30 pm still happy, still friendly, looking clean, and not in a hurry. It was less then 150$ Thanks guys you saved my game!

We called M & R to service our heating/cooling system in preparation for cooler months. Richard showed up right on time (wearing a mask - thank you!) He checked out both of our house units and put them into good working order, and also repaired the mini-cooler in the workshop. We were very impressed with how knowledgeable and honest he was. We were also very pleasantly surprised with the bill. It was reasonable and fair. (We've had some really terrible experiences with other companies in the past.)
We HIGHLY recommend M & R - and we plan to only call them when we are in need. Thanks to Richard and M & R for a job well done!

looking for honest good AC people? Do they even exist in AZ? You can stop looking! like all of us, when we get that dreaded nightmare of no AC in the summer, we get worried and start to panic! We are prime to fall for lies n a sales pitch to spend $$$ when we dont need too just to get the AC working again, and most company will use this against us. So i was ready to get a line of lies n bull, but then I met M & R and these guys are the best, literally! Honest, years and years of experience, no BS. Had my ac fixed fast, got great advise and no scripted lines of how i need this and that to make a big sale. I got what i needed and that was that. Very fast to get out to my house, fast to get it fixed, no sales pitch, no un-needed anything! thank you M & R for gives us in the valley hope there is a good AC company! Keep up the great work!

I cannot say enough good things about Matthew at  M & R refrigeration! They are a small family owned business. We called his company at 8 o'clock on a Sunday night because our AC failed when it was over 100 degrees. He came out in 20 minutes and recharged our AC and then came back and replaced the coil that was faulty within three days. We bought a new home in 2014 and as new home owners never realized that our upstairs AC unit wasn't working as intended. We figured our warm 2nd floor was just a result of having two floors in the AZ heat. However, last year we finally had a company come out and check our unit. They recharged the unit and told us there was a leak but never bothered to find it. That particular company used a product that is supposed to seal leaks internally but as we've found out since, this is a  very bad idea and can lead to many issues down the road. Despite the unscrupulous application of the internal sealant, the upstairs was cool for the first time ever and we thought our problems were solved.

Fast forward to this summer and here it is hot upstairs again. I called a new company, one of the largest in the valley, to come offer us some advice. Of course after paying my $80 trip fee to get them out, I was quoted an exorbitant amount of money to repair the unit with no attempt made to locate the obvious leak. I told this company I would think about it and tried to figure out how we could possibly make the financials work to get the unit fixed.

This is where M&R comes in. I had called a couple places today based on reviews to try and get some insight into my troubles and make sure we weren't being  raked over the coals. Matthew returned my call promptly and was very helpful even on the phone insisting that the costly repair I was quoted probably wasn't even necessary. Matthew came out the same day I called him and got to work searching for the leak before even mentioning charging me for any services. Matthew spent a good  couple hours looking over our unit and was able to locate the slightest leak that was the obvious culprit of our warm 2nd floor. Based on the last service calls I have had I had never seen anyone that committed to looking for a the issue. Matthew was able to repair our unit for a good price and even guaranteed us that if the fix wouldn't work there would be no charge.

I can't thank Matthew enough and we will be continuing customers of his because of the time and effort he put forth helping us today.

All of a sudden, our a/c stopped keeping the house cool.  After checking fuses, thermastat, and power, We shut it down and called the guys at M&R Refrigeration.  They had it fixed that evening and didn't gouge us for emergency services. Showed us the part they replaced and explained how it happens. Start to finish about 2 hours, we'll be sleeping well tonight thanks to you guys.  Richard was very friendly and professional.  Will definitely use them again.

Saturday night and our A/C fan decides to stop running!!!  Today was 99 and tomorrow to reach 103. We figured we'd have to go to a hotel because we probably couldn't get repair service before Monday.
Checked YELP and was so fortunate to find M & R Refrigeration. I sent a message for a quote and what our problem was and minutes later Mathew responded back to say he could come in one hour and it was 10:30 PM already. He arrived at 11:00 PM and checked the unit and spotted and fixed the problem right away.  We are so appreciative of Mathew coming so promptly to help us. We highly recommend him for any of your service needs.  Really nice guy too!!

Richard checked the mini-split for signs of freon leakage and tightened the leaking connector. System did not require full evacuation/recharge so was simply recharged and tested ok. Indicated that if it turned out that there was another (undetected) leak there would not be another freon cost when it was recharged. Good straight forward discussion - pleasant manners.  Nice to see these days.  I'll be a returning customer for annual check-ups!

Can't say enough about how great Matthew at M&R is. Called him on Memorial Day evening about an issue with my A/C system. After spending time on the phone with me troubleshooting the issue he said he'd have a tech out in 45min. 30min later Matthew himself arrived and took care of the problem for a very fair price. My house will likely need a new HVAC system in the next few years and I can tell you he's earned my future business!

Our family is thankful to have found M&R Refrigeration Company. I stepped out to run some errands and returned to a warmer than normal house. My spouse advised that A/C suddenly stopped cooling. Of course, our toddlers didn't hesitate to remind me that it's hot!. I reached out to Matt at M&R around 7PM but unfortunately they were all booked up, so we scheduled an appointment for first thing next morning. Phoenix had just experienced a record 118 *F day, so we were just about ready to stay the night at a hotel. Moments later I received a message from Matt to let me know that he could have someone out in 45 minutes. What a relief! Aaron arrived in half an hour and was fantastic to work with. The unit was repaired in under an hour and Aaron was patient in explaining the entire process. We went over the who, what, why, etc. on the A/C unit and future maintenance. The entire process was smooth, prompt and we didn't have to sell any organs to cover the cost of an emergency/last minute repair during the busiest time of year. M&R Aaron got us back to a cool home before bed time.

After being stood up by another company, I contacted M&R Refrigeration. They had someone out the next day. The guy was very knowledgable and had my AC going in no time. Pricing was very reasonable too.

We were thrilled with the service from M&R today. We had originally scheduled installation of a new smart thermostat this coming week, but then needed help with getting our AC working again after some chiller work on our condo building yesterday. Matthew immediately sent out a repair person -- who was amazingly good. He got us up and running, and also installed the new thermostat. He was friendly, fast and just plain good to work with.

We've already given the company name to two condo board members. But mostly, it's so great to have amazing, competent service!

I called to find out why my goodman AC and furnace weren't cooling my house down. They are listed as a service company on the Goodman site so I called as they were closest.  They said if the unit is under warranty i would have to pay for the labor which was fine.  The guy came, he was friendly and he checked the furnace and the AC unit. He found the capacitor was bad on the ac compressor.  First he told me that the cost of the cap was 280 plus labor. So I asked if it was under warranty what it would cost, he wasn't even going to offer that, and he said it would be 79 plus 30 minutes labor. So he said he had to check with his boss to make sure it was under warranty. It was but then he said he would have to charge me time and travel to get the part and it would be 237.  I'm sorry but because you don't have a part on your truck doesn't mean I have to pay for your lack of planning.   I imagine this item is one commonly replaced and I imagine many goodman units use the exact same capacitor.  So I called him to ask and I told him that I'm not paying for travel as he said on the phone labor, not labor and travel.  He didn't agree so I told I wouldn't pay for a service they weren't prepared to complete under warranty.  If you aren't going to actually do the warranty work, then just say you won't do it.  I could have called one of the 20 other companies on the Goodman site but you were the closest to my house.

Our heater went out and it is getting colder. Reached out today and they were able to get someone out within a few hours. He quickly figured out what is wrong and gave me options (buy the parts that I could get cheap for cheap parts or just buy the quality parts he had on hand).  I felt he was very honest with me and willing to work within my needs. I have had issues with AC companies in the past saying they fixed the issue when they didn't, refusing to come back, etc.  I will absolutely be sticking to these guys in the future.

A BIG shout-out to M&R Refrigeration! I came house after being away to find that our house was 84° with the thermostat set at 76° and the outside A/C unit running hard. I called M&R Refrigeration at 7:30pm with outside temperature hovering around 106° Matthew the owner said he would be out in 30 min. he arrived on time and determined my problem in a short amount of time and had me up and cooling all for the price of a very fair service call fee, no after hours charge. Had Matthew out to install new A/C unit. My house is old so it had some issues. He listened to my concerns and did a great job fixing everything. He is polite, easy to communicate with and always on time. Always responds to phone calls immediately. Worked with me on the price so I could get a more energy efficient unit within my  budget. He was good to reassure me about the warranty. Did not want a company to skip out on me. I trust Matthew and would feel  comfortable referring him to friends and family. I had several estimates and am so glad I found him.

I had used M&R a year prior for wiring a new Nest thermostat and was suprised by their professionalism and knowledge. Fast forward a year and my upstairs AC goes out very early on a Saturday morning. I called and within a few hours they had worked me into their schedule. The service rep already had a good idea what had gone bad. Sure enough my capacitor was dead, he showed me on his meter it was not anywhere within the acceptable limits. He had a new one on his truck and within 15 minutes my air was blowing ice cold again. Friendly, affordable, masked for COVID and extremely knowledgeable I highly recommend them.

My husband and I purchased a home in Fountain Hills, AZ that was 30 years old and understood the heating and air conditioning system  was the original system. The HVAC system was failing and we needed to replace the whole system, e.g. heat pump units, air handlers, ducting, etc..
We had read reviews that cautioned customers to be aware of contractors that would provide low bids to get the job and then have recommendations that were not included in the bid price.

We reached out to a few HVAC companies  so we could compare the bids for the job. We have had some issues with past contractors and after thoroughly screening  the various  HVAC contractors, we awarded the bid to M & R Refrigeration.
M & R Refrigeration is the only company that provided a detailed description of the services that would be provided in the bid price. The other two companies had several recommendations that were not included in the bid price, need I say more. Buyer beware!!
M & R Refrigeration (Matthew owner) had superior customer service, was very straightforward in answering our questions and was very reasonable priced.

This company deserves more than five stars. They didn't just replace our  heater and air conditioner, they built a new system for our house. Going above and beyond is a understatement. Matthew's staff were 3 of the nicest workers we've come across in a long time. Friendly, knowledgeable, and very clean. Truly a top rated company.

Please Read!! I am 24 recently moved out from California and bought my first house. I learned Arizona crazy hot so A/C check is a must. However there's so many companies that quoted different prices and say different things will be done and all I could think is how do I know what they should do and if there even doing it? I got quoted from 150-300 just to come out from big companies and they all said different things and then said this isn't covered or we may do this which is this much more. Oscar came out and literally THE BEST EXPERIENCE ever. He was polite honest and walked me through everything.   One thing you dont find these days is someone to take the time show you and explain what and why they do it. At first he thought he found a leak and asked me if I wanted a test extra 40$ but then further digging we found the issue resolved it and he waived the test because the issue was found. All in the beginning I had negative thoughts but in the end.. if your looking for quality someone you can trust and give you the honest truth. Please chose them. I wouldn't take the time to write this if it weren't true. Anyone from 24-100 first house or fifth. These are honest people looking to help you teach you and be there for you

Our air conditioning was only cooling to 85 degrees and Oscar came out to check it out.  I know they are in the busy time of year and he showed up around 6:30.  They determined the problem and replaced a motor on my unit. Relief!!  Very professional, had the part with them and we are back in business.  M&R really cares about their customers and doing the job right!

These guys are the best!  My ac went out.  I needed help! They responded to me in minutes.  Late at night, way past normal business hours.  The tech they sent was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable.  And he fixed the problem super fast.  He then stayed long enough to make sure that everything he did was working and my home temperature was going down.  Now my home is nice and cool again thanks to M&R Refrigeration!   Highly recommend

I own a 2 yr old rental home in Buckeye and my tenants just moved in and said it wasn't blowing cold air. I live in SoCal, so I looked to yelp to find someone. I came across M&R and they had all great reviews so I reached out. Matt contacted me immediately and offered to go out the next morning. But my tenants weren't there and we scheduled it for Monday. Aaron showed up on time and verified the air wasn't cold, and asked if I wanted to do a freon leak test, at an additional cost, I said yes I had to get it fixed. I was hoping since it was a fairly new unit, that it would be a simple fix and hopefully not too expensive. Aaron called me back and said he found a leak at a elbow fitting and could get it fixed today. I thought great, a elbow, thought that it wouldn't be a huge expense. Well, that thought lasted about a  minute, Aaron broke down what he needed to do and the cost would be $1004. I about fell out of my chair, in no way did I think a elbow replacement would cost that much. Being I had tenants in there, it's obviously hot in AZ in the summer and that I would of had to pay $180 for the service call, I just had to get it done and pay the price. Although I was quoted about 4 hrs labor, for a elbow replacement, he was actually there about 7 hours. He called to say he was finished and it was blowing cold air. He told me he ran into a little trouble soldering the elbow because it was copper to aluminum. That did not make me feel confident in this repair holding up. But here's why the 3 star rating. In no way could I give a 5 because of the price, I just felt it was too much for a elbow replacement. I was going to leave a 4 star because Matt was prompt in responding and Aaron showed up and got the job done. But I had to drop to a 3 star because when I asked if this repair had a warranty, Aaron told me 30 days. I couldn't believe I just paid $1004 to replace a elbow that came with a 30 day warranty and he had trouble with the soldering....But he did say my AC unit wasn't quite level and he adjusted it for no cost since he was there. I know this review is long, but I wanted to give a accurate detail as to why. I don't like reading reviews with no substance and low ratings. Now if any AC repair person reads this and can tell me this was a reasonable cost to replace that elbow, I will happily adjust my rating

Super impressed!  This summer, the A/C units needed replacement, and I wanted to make sure the company I was hiring was reliable and reputable.  When I asked for estimates from 3 different companies, the process is really an interview for the job.  Matthew arrived promptly (actually early), he was knowledgeable, organized, and prepared.  His is a local business, and he shared a little of his personal journey as the owner.  He is earnest and impressive.  He isn't a salesperson, he actually runs the crew. I really appreciated the flexibility in scheduling, as they work weekends, so I didn't have to take a day off work! We set up the appointment for the work for later in the week (Saturday!) and M & R worked all that day and into the evening  - there were some challenges, and it was super HOT in the attic.  They got everything up and running before they left, and then Aaron came back a couple of days later to finish up the details.  
The unit installed was a Goodman.  This is not a brand I was familiar with, but it is American made, which I find appealing.  M & R doesn't employ a drywall person to come in after the fact to patch holes, so be prepared for that (it isn't a huge deal, but worth noting).  They cleaned up after the job was finished, and were super professional throughout the process.
Give M & R a shot when you need to replace or repair your A/C.  I think you will find him and his company to be a good fit for your project.  Definitely a 5 star company!

Richard was out to perform a pre winter inspection on our system. The house is about 2 years old and all is operating perfectly. Was very impressed with the fact that he noticed the wiring in the disconnect box was loose from when the house was built and not only did he make sure he tightened all of that wiring but he also went to the main breaker box to tighten up all the connections in there as well. Would highly recommend M&R for all your refrigeration needs.

I recently called Matthew because my tenants complained about poor cooling. Matt came out on a Saturday and serviced my heat pump after a freezing, uncomfortable night.  Other companies never bothered even calling back but I am glad they did not.  Matt's skill and service were excellent and pricing fair.  He explained everything he diagnosed, corrected and why.   I will use him again and recommend him highly to all my friends and neighbors.

My A/C went out during the night (it's August) so at 3am I'm on Yelp to find a repair company.  I see the M & R is 24 hrs but I don't want to wake anyone up (it's not THAT bad), but I do call at 6 am.  And,  nice man answers and says he will have someone out around 8 am and Ryan shows up on time;  finds the problem, has the part on his truck, fixes it!  The part has a 5 year warranty, the service charge was SO minimal.  I asked some questions about other A/C needs and he was very thorough and patient and realistic.   They are a keeper!!

Very pleased with the stellar customer service provided by Matt who responded within minutes to my voicemail message. He then took the time to educate me on the possible issues my system was having, then provided a more-than-fair estimate over the phone which was half the price a more popular big box HVAC company quoted me who I had originally consulted. His tech, Oscar, showed up on time with a Can Do, Will Do attitude and didn't try up-selling me on parts or services I didn't need, nor did he try high pressuring me into an annual service agreement (unlike the company mentioned above). Oscar was quick yet thorough in his workmanship, and had no issue answering my questions and giving me money-saving advice on things I needed to repair immediately as well as things that could wait. During the repair, Oscar realized the part he needed wasn't on his truck so he immediately tracked down another tech who delivered the part to my house within about 20 minutes. Due to the honest, prompt quality service I received, I plan to be a life long customer. My A/C unit and furnace are past their prime, so when the day comes to replace them, M&R Refrigeration will be my first and only call.

I got quotes for a new ac system from several ac guys.  M&R wasn't the cheapest but theirs was the best among the businesses with a credible and established local presence.  The crew was professional and I'm happy with the follow-ups.  If you don't have time to mess around M&R would be a good place to start.

Our AC unit decided to stop working a few weeks ago. I have a neighbor that is an AC guy that came down and looked at it for us. After about an hour on the roof he determined that it was the compressor and he advised it would be about 3000 to fix, but he would suggest a whole new unit. He advised he would come out the next day and replace the compressor or unit. The next morning he called and couldn't make it as he had other pre existing customers to service. So, we were stuck at square one again. My wife put out a call for help on facebook asking for referrals to a good AC company and our real estate agent / friend suggested Matthew / M&R. I called him that morning and he was out within an hour. After about 30 minutes of diagnostics he fixed my ac unit by *get this* washing it! He explained that you need to annually get your AC serviced because here in AZ the dirt builds up and causes it to overheat. (think about your car, if the radiator is plugged it wont cool the engine down). Once Matthew sprayed it out it immediately started working and was even MORE efficient. Matthew did however explain that because it had been overheating so much that the compressor could have sustained damage and to keep an eye on it. He only charged me for the 89$ fee (the very first thing he told me was that it was $89 for the service call and $89 an hour after)  even though it was a little longer than the stated first hour.  I have a lot of respect for Matthew because he could have had a very easy sale of about $3000 and I would have paid it, but he instead decided to do the right thing and fix the problem accordingly. He was honest and I thoroughly appreciate that.

Fast forward two weeks. The AC goes out again. Its clearly the compressor this time as you could hear it grinding. It indeed did get damaged due to the overheating and being 9 years old. I called Matthew out ON A HOLIDAY and he showed up within the hour and diagnosed the issue and had a new AC unit at my house and completely working by the next day! He did an amazing job, was a pleasure to work with and he also not only warranties the parts but he also warranties his labor for 10 years! I will be referring M&R to everyone I know. Matthew is a good guy who is honest, hard working and able to get the job done.

I highly recommend contacting  M&M Refrigeration if you are having issues with you air conditioning. In short, Mathew is genuinely interested in providing excellent service.

We had our system stop working. My initial call was answered and had a technician show up within an hour. Diagnosed a fan motor needed to be replaced and reported the rest of the system checked out OK. Had the system working again in less than an hour for a fair price. A couple of days later, the same issue happened. Called again and this time Mathew arrived himself within 30 minutes. He determined he may need to use the factory spec motor, rather than the commonly used universal motor. He also suggested we replace the fan as well. This is where most companies would tell you how much more all this is going to cost. However, Mathew sent one of his technicians to pick up the factory motor and fan, which I am sure cost more than the original one that I paid them for. His technician arrived a couple of hours later. Had it installed quickly and it has been working well. There were no additional service charges and only charged for the fan.

M & R Refrigeration, LLC is the best!  My A/C quit just as the heat hit Phoenix, AZ at 103.  The only thing coming from my A/C was blowing air.  A refrigeration company recommended by a home warranty company was contacted and appointment made.  They never showed at the appointed time 4-6 P.M.  At 7:15 they said they were running late...I cancelled.  Home Advisor came up with M & R Refrigeration, LLC. I called them and Ryan showed up that same day.  He was the most compassionate, caring person who saw my dilemma and took immediate action to rescue me by fixing what he could for temporary relief.  Both Mathew the owner and Ryan came back another day and worked from 10:30 in the morning all day until 3:30 p.m. to resolve the problem.  When I thanked them for their help their reply was We always try to do the right thing.  I can only say there are still some great caring people in this world.  If your A/C needs help you can't find a better company than M & R Refrigeration, LLC.  Mary Ann Runte - Glendale, AZ.
