I spoke with a friendly, live person to schedule the at home estimate. The person came out as promised and in a timely manner. After the estimate, I scheduled the landscape clean up which also occurred as promised and in a timely manner. All work was completed and looked great! In the estimate, there were no hidden fees or unexpected expenses. The estimate was accurate and on point! Communication has been professional and courteous. This company is recommended and I will use them again!

So happy with their work!!  Phillip's Landscaping just became our new, trusted professionals for our tricky landscape maintenance.  We have a lot of succulents and plants that need manual trimming, and often get away from us.  One area was really overgrown and they quickly got it into great shape - much better than we could have done.  We had a few sunken areas on our paver patio and they removed, filled with sand, and replaced the original pavers (now beautifully level), then added a fresh topping of sand to fill the cracks for the entire patio (much needed).  They clearly knew what they were doing (it's a tricky job).  We also had an older tree stump (not huge, but big enough) and wanted to plant a replacement and they did it all (it looks wonderful, they did a lovely job cleaning up after a very messy project).

It took a little bit of doing to arrange our first meeting via text messaging.  But I'm really glad I kept trying because it didn't take too long, and the price is very reasonable.  Plus I found someone I trust with our trickier landscape - they're great!!

We wanted to extend our driveway and create a path with embedded glass block lighting from the driveway to the backyard door. I solicited multiple call requests, send pictures, measurements, architectural drawings to everyone. Testa came in with a good value, and a commitment they would be able to get this done before our backyard housewarming party.

Due to everybody having a very busy schedule, they committed to me they would come by earlier if there is a cancellation. Sure enough they did. I had pre-ordered all of the paving stones and solar light inserts and they arrived at 7 o'clock in the morning and we're done by 12:30 in the afternoon. Very efficient, pricing exactly as quoted, left the work area clean and even took the pallets that the paving stones came on with them. Very happy with their service, respectful of property, good communication. At the end, extremely happy with the service provided.

I am very satisfied with the job!  Jonathan, took the time and is very detailed with the requests. He understood exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend him!

Saw a couple reviews on Yelp abounorth valley that were positive so I decided to have them come out and look at my irrigation.. I had a irrigation leak that I seemed more involved than my skill set. He sent me appt time and hourly rate, I can't really give a comparison on rate because I didn't get another estimate but I believed it was a small fix.  They came out fixed the issue checked it prior to leaving. Initial Set up was not really done correctly. They were personal, on time and educated me on some irrigation items, which I found helpful. Thanks again. Would recommend!

We needed our polyethylene tubing irrigation system (front/rear slow drip, rear sprinklers) replaced, as it was quite old and developing numerous leaks.  We sent Yelp messages to eight landscapers/irrigation contractors and Desert Valley was the first to respond and one of only three who saw the system and provided an estimate.  They also scheduled the work for later that same week at the lowest bid we received.  Tracy and Luis completed the system overhaul by replacing the tubing with Sch40 PVC with three new valves, timer, drip lines and rear yard sprinklers in about 1.5 days.  They also replaced two dead plants (we provided replacements) as a last minute request from us when we went to pay them for their excellent work.  I recommend Desert Valley highly!!

I recently tried to book a free estimate with your company for a complete back yard makeover. I received a call back from Sherry and it has taken me days to sort through my feeling on this call and to be able to write this response in a clear, unemotional manner.
The call started basic enough with her question- Are you the home owner? Yes I am.
Sherry- Do you have the authority to proceed with this service.
me- yes, I do.
Sherry- So there is no man or husband who needs to be involved in this process?
Right there she started to lose me. 1. No there is not- and more importantly, why does this matter? 2. I've owned my own homes (multiple) for 20 plus years.
I tried to sidestep this and continue on to get someone out to help me with ideas on how to design the yard.
Sherry- will you have a pool or pergola installed?
Me- I'm not sure. You are the first company I have called and I am trying to get estimates so I know how to budget and plan. I'm not sure if a pool will be in my budget at this time but I still  want to work around that and make my yard presentable now.
Sherry- Well, you know you need to have those things completed before the install of our product. We offer the highest quality product therefor it is very expensive and you wouldn't want to have to dig it up in a few years if you decide to add a pool.
Again- this put me off. I am well aware that there is an order to things. I am also aware that my yard is big enough to accommodate a few different options and that I can save room for a pool should I choose to do so in the future. However, it's also none of her business if I choose to landscape my yard only to dig it up again in 3 years. I am trying to give you my money and she's making it difficult.
Sherry again stresses the high quality and cost of the product and that there is a minimum of 200ft and that would be $2500. again to myself I'm thinking whatever, I'm planning to spend at minimum 4 times that but instead I'm feeling insulted by her insinuation that I couldn't possibly afford such an extravagant and costly product.
I again try to steer back to the fact that again, this is my first company I've spoken with and that I am asking about your free estimate offer because I need a professional to come out and measure the yard and help me determine the best lay out and use of your product.  
Unfortunately, Sherry continued in her condescending manner and after way too long on the phone with her and her insults I was able to book an appointment. However, after I hung up, the insults and gall of her just continued to eat at me. The fact that it was another WOMAN who was questioning my decisions, my authority, my financial ability and my basic ability to make decisions has continued to really bother me. I HOPE she does not represent the face and values of your company. Yet this encounter has left such a sour taste that I've had to cancel my free estimate as I cannot in good conscious continue forward. I tried to find corporate info on your websites but i was unable to find anything other than social medial contacts and I felt that you at least deserved to know that this is how your company is being represented in 2021.

Just had Purchase Green install 625 sq ft on dog friendly Vista sport. Watching the team build the base and edging of Wonder Board absolutely convinced me that you should have professionals do the installation if you want it done right and want it to last. They did a great job and I couldn't be happier

I have been using this service for several years now. They are hard working and meticulous, led by a man who is honest and possesses a strong work ethic.

My yard had two huge problems. We have flood irrigation and the berms had washed out causing big grade shifts...causing flooding!
Secondly...I am unfortunately next door to a cat hoarders colony. My front landscape has been used as a litter box and was destroyed by the cats. I finally decided...this is now too big of a job for me.

I needed all kinds of random gravel/dirt/rock/boulders hauled to the dump or moved from here to there and graded...I didn't need perfection, just a lot of help!

After meeting with Bob, I had no more worries! He understood exactly what I needed done and quoted me a fair and reasonable price. I learned that he also did other types of work like removing trees or concrete.

They showed up on time, took great care not to damage our new concrete, and had professional attitudes and fun personalities. They worked for two days and cleaned everything when the job was finished.

I've always done my own yard work, but summer is approaching too fast. I am so happy to have found this company because now I can relax and enjoy creating my new (hopefully more cat proof) landscaping!

So I don't often leave reviews on yelp unless the business has either done a fantastic job or a crappy job at whatever it is they do. Happy that this is a five-star yelp!  Not much to say other than the fact that Kenny is just simply a professional. He shows up as expected, on time and on budget.  It's amazing how small things like returned phone calls and good quality work can go so far in today's world.  Have a large desert landscape lot that only really needs tending a few times a year (usually after the rains.) with an overly wet season this year our spring cleanup was way worse than usual. Kenny's team made short work of the cleanup and I had our yard looking spic and span by lunchtime. If you're looking for an amazing yard maintenance crew look no further!!

We had a very large tree in a small front yard that sadly had to go due to root issues. Troy and his team did an outstanding job removing it and cleaning up throughly when they were finished! I felt like the price was very fair and will use them in the future for any landscaping needs :)

This is the best investment we have made to our home.  We had spoke to and interviewed a few companies but could never get what we really wanted.  This created procrastination on our part as we did not want to invest unless we knew we got exactly what we wanted.  The plan was never clear until Craig came over, asked us what we want, sprayed some lines on the ground, worked up a written quote and then came back with a cad picture to allow us to visualize it.  

Working with Craig was the absolute best, he is a true professional.  I like how he interacts with his crew as he was on the job daily and was very flexible and offering no surprises during or after the job.  Actually, I am picky and somewhat high maintenance on large projects, since I want to learn as they do without breaking a sweat.  I had watched them work every day, asked questions, and added a few items during the process.  I can honestly say that they put so much forethought and work in the preparation if the sub surface planning for the overall project.  

I think a lot of people have bad experiences as they only focus on the visual product and that is where some of the other quotes lacked, Craig's crew took their time and did it 100% correct and with the highest quality in workmanship.  Much if their time was spent grading, preparing the sound surface for the travertine, flow of the water in the yard and working as a team to finish in about a week.

He and his crew truly love what they do and have a passion for it.  When he said he would do the job like its his own home, he meant it and delivered.  Craig even made a few trips over afterwards to check on the plants and grass to assure it was rooting correctly- adjusting watering schedules etc.  

My only regret is I did not take photos of the yard before, perhaps Craig has some he can upload. It was a weedy dirt lot with a pool in the middle.

I hired BJ's to grind a stump in my front yard. They were very responsive, got me a quote and got the job done before other companies even got a quote to me. The guys came and were very professional. They cleaned up their mess and did a great job grinding the stump.

has great design ideas for my backyard. price was acceptable and work will start in 2 weeks.
