Best Heating & Air Conditioning/HVAC in Arizona
We have used this business since the early 90's. I highly recommend them. I also recommend the yearly checkup where they take a look at your A/C. Do this in the Spring, and get your A/C tuned up for the summer. We have had the same technician, who's name I don't remember, come out here for years. This is a family run business that appears to retain it's employees over the long-run, and that tells me something right there!

Our A/C went out in Gilbert, AZ on one of the hottest steamiest days of the year. I did an internet search for an HVAC company. One of the first companies that I saw was Semper Fi. Their radio and TV ads had me familiar with their name, plus I am a big admirer of the men and women who have served out country. I called and got ahold of a very pleasant lady at their business. They sent out Brandon (army vet) who was awesome. He diagnosed the issue(s) we had on our units. We needed some costly repairs. He explained the costs and benefits of repairing the existing system, and cost of a new unit and warranty as well. We opted for a new 5-ton unit. Our family's military background gained us a nice discount, which helped a lot. They were able to schedule the work in two days, which at this time of the year I felt was reasonable. Also, what was great was them sending an angel Cordelle over that night with a portable A/C unit for our bedroom. This unit actually was able to keep the majority of our house comfortable. Huge Thanks!! The install crew of Hector and Jesus were equally awesome and got to work. It took them a while to accomplish all of the work they needed to perform. They had the best attitude, as did the others. Under 6 hours later we had cold air circulating through the house. It was much more work than I thought. These guys were working under pretty extreme heat, especially in the attic. Hector, the lead man, made sure everything was working properly before leaving. He installed a much easier to operate thermostat than we previously had. I was VERY pleased with the whole process. We ended up with a new unit with a great warranty for parts and service. I highly recommend Semper Fi for your needs should you be as unfortunate as us and have a unit go out at this time of the year in AZ! They all around took good care of us.

I have about 12 units at my office and I got fed up with my previous A/C guy who took days to show up and then never permanently fixed the problem. I called Scottsdale Air and they were there the same day and problem resolved. Since then I always call them. In the past 6 months I had them out for 4 different units. Fast, friendly, competent and prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend this company and I will use them for my home as well.

I can't say enough about this company and the professionalism shown to me. My a/c went out on the east side of the house and I have company coming next week and I was sure it was a goner. To my relief these guys fixed the problem and I HAVE AIR ON THE EAST SIDE. YEA.
No kidding, I highly recommend this company and I intend to have them out if I ever need any air conditioning work done. Tony was so professional and courteous and respectful.
Do yourselves a favor and get this company to do your repairs. Trust me, you will not regret it.
No, I am not related to or employed by them. I am just a homeowner and a landlord.

The girls who scheduled were very helpful in getting me a 1 hour window for the techs arrival. They followed up the morning of to let me know the tech was on his way. Patrick arrived and was very pleasant and easy to work with. Diagnosed the issue very quickly, but took the time to do it right. Also advised me on new appliances and what to look for, etc. Overall great experience and would recommend Patrick and American Air anytime

I cannot recommend Preferred Air highly enough.
My husband, newborn and I just moved into a new house and thought (perhaps foolishly) that we wanted to raise the ductwork in the kitchen, living room and hallway before we settled in. I looked on Yelp and Google and had a couple of companies come in to do an estimate. Daniel (from Preferred Air) was kind, personable and upbeat. And had a great price. Personably, he was my first choice immediately.
Although he recommended that we remove all our old insulation, we thought that was cost-prohibitive and so declined. Because of the mess it would make to do the demo first (even thought that would have been the easiest for them), Daniel told us they would put all the new ducts in before we ripped out the ceiling and then come back and take all the old duct work when we were done with the demolition (that was originally supposed to be done the same day per the quote) so that the home would be cleaner for our baby. They crawled through feet of insulation in an Arizona summer to complete the work. THEN when we started the demolition we realized that he was right and we really needed to remove the insulation (let's remember this is not a review of our competency as DIYers ;) we called them back. He was responsive and made a few calls to change up his schedule so they could come in just two days later and get it all taken out for us. They were here at 6:30am and worked a full day to complete it. Kind, thoughtful and hard working with a very messy job. I've told Daniel I would buy a vertical plot in San Francisco from him at this point; he was so very right about what we needed done.
We are thrilled with the thought they put into our new ductwork - they laid it out much better than the old, put in an extra return and thought about the positioning of the vents carefully, which was hard because our furniture was not yet positioned so they were constantly asking about the usage of each room.
Honestly, the only negative we had was that some of the sheetrock near a return air vent got broken and needs to be repaired. But the house is old and the sheetrock is not attached frequently enough to the rafters, so that might have been entirely an issue with our house that would be hard to avoid when cutting a hole in bad sheetrock. I couldn't tell you for sure.
However, back to what we love about them. Additionally, they gave me a recommendation for a sheetrocker whom we love and he, in turn, recommended an amazing electrician. To us the community of craftsmen around them speaks highly of their work.
Highly, highly recommend this company. If I ever have another job up their alley, I would hire them again in an instant.

I contacted Francisco about a project with a family I was working with to get their AC fixed.
Francisco was fast, courteous and VERY Knowledgeable. Francisco will not price gouge you and tells you EXACTLY want needs to be fixed. I will recommend him to anyone in my family and friends circle.

Being new to Prescott, I've relied heavily on Yelp, so when I saw a lot of good reviews, I gave them a call to help with my 18 year old HVAC units. Although the height of summer, I knew the units were running too much and just not in good shape. My initial call was answered immediately, and the appointment set up. Rich arrived on time and with a courtesy call an hour in advance. Rather than go straight for the big sale of you need new units, he suggested some new parts and some TLC. Half day later, he was done. While it seemed like a lot of money at the time, it was apparent that day how much better the systems were working. Get this - a week later I went to the APS website to check our daily electric usage. While the avg. temperature was the same, we are now using about half the energy per day. You can see the change literally from the day he serviced the units. Net, the August electric bill is over $100 less than June or July. Money well spent indeed! He and his wife are also really nice people btw. Highly recommend.

We priced the same machines from Trane with four contractors for apples to apples comparison. Bell was the least expensive of the four, with the top two being quite close to one another except Bell also included duct cleaning in their proposal. We stepped up to pretty sophisticated machines and control devices with variable speed components everywhere we could so it wasn't an expensive exercise to buy two sets. The work was done on time and as proposed and works exactly as expected.

A few weeks ago on a Friday when it was around 118 degrees out my A/C unit was having problems most the day and decided to use Yelp to find a reputable service company to come out and take a look. Steve's Ultimate was about my 3rd call (first two had no availability), it was about 2:30pm and Steve told me he would be there about 4pm and was right on time. He was there about 30 minutes and had me up and running again (outside compressor blower motor out). I would recommend.

I need to start off by saying that I called Michael at Desert Chill Air Conditioning at 6:00 pm on a Monday early evening. My A/C unit for upstairs all of a sudden was blowing out warm air and was over 90 degrees upstairs. I couldn't be more impressed with how honest and straight forward Michael was and getting my A/C Unit up and running within 5 minutes! He found the run capacitor to be bad, which was the best news for me as the customer. He had a new run capacitor on his truck, installed it, and what do you know, ice cold air upstairs again! Total Cost of $65. In the past several years, I have been given the run a round with many different A/C guys and companies. I am so happy to finally find Michael at Desert Chill Air! His honesty and ethics will never be forgotten in my books. If you are looking for the run a round and many different diagnosis with these companies, call someone else. If what you need is a quick and honest job, call Michael at Desert Chill Air Conditioning. I am so happy I did and still can't stop smiling!

We have been using Jaycox for several years and every time we call they are responsive and professional. That probably is expected with any vendor but these folks are above and beyond.
We have a poor attic layout that requires scaling (on your belly -- think CRAWL SPACE IN 110+ DEGREES on a good day) more than fifty feet across the attic to get to our air handler. These technicians always recognize our call by that attic. And they come out and do it. Every time. ROCKSTARS, knowledgeable, efficient and KIND.
Patrick showed up first thing this morning and did it again. THANK YOU, PATRICK.
We are committing to getting a more efficient attic entry point before you come back out. You and your team DESERVE THAT for keeping us cool.

I contacted Jorge Flores to do a yearly tune up on my HVAC system. Jorge arrived on time and serviced the unit. While testing parts of the unit he found that one of the capacitors was failing, and was able to put in a new one on the spot. I am extremely satisfied with the customer service that I received from Jorge Flores Air Conditioning and Heating. His pricing is very reasonable and his service is outstanding.

I gotta say we had the worst dang experience ever from a top notch rated company. We had two new units installed (3 ton and 4 ton) and the crew was sloppy (insulation EVERYWHERE), dirty (handprints on the ceiling) careless (thermostat installed not level) and inexperienced (the air was BLASTING out of the bedroom. They must have been new. We had to have the restoration team out twice to fix the mess the first crew made. We love our new AC units, and hope to never do business with this company again.
