Accurate installed a Trane A/C unit at our house and it has required quite a bit of service over its first 2 years. Recently, the thermostat broke and needed to be replaced -- of course on a 107 degree Saturday. We had the technician come out and he told us that they do not carry the part with them and that Accurate does not provide access to the part over the weekend. He wanted to put on a temporary thermostat but made it clear that he had no idea if it would work. Given the fact the 2-year old unit has broken twice already and we had no idea if it would void the warranty, we decided that was a bad idea. We paid him $146 for this call.
We then called another provider who stocks the part (yes, even on weekends and after hours) and we got it replaced a few hours later, no hassles. I do not understand how an authorized service agent of Trane does not stock parts over the weekend, particularly when we are talking AC during June in Phoenix. As an aside, Accurate did call 4 days later, but not to try to resolve our issue but instead to make sure their technician followed the protocol of the company, which I guess he did.
So, I'd say if you want quick service and expert repair, steer clear of Accurate.

Stellar customer service! They were slammed today with appointments for their service guys, but managed to work us in for a repair this afternoon. Having two young kids and a dog in this AZ heat with no AC was no fun, but they really saved the day. Words honestly cannot express how grateful I am that they were able to squeeze us into their already busy schedule and send a very knowledgeable tech out same day. He tech quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it right away for us. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of AC repair. To top it off, they're Veteran owned, so they definitely get an A+ in my book!

I can't recommend Scottsdale Air enough! As a first time home owner shopping for a replacement AC was a daunting task - I'm happy to share that I had a phenomenal experience.
One of their field directors, Russ, came out same day to put together a quote. He took photos of the unit in the attic, and walked me through each component. I greatly appreciated the thorough walkthrough & explanation of their installation process.
Russ then presented 5 or 6 HVAC units in a good, better, best style grid - this made it easy to compare price points and features. We agreed on a very reasonable price for an 18 Seer Trane XV18 multi stage variable speed unit with furnace and smart thermostats.
The install crew showed up on Friday of the same week. They were incredibly professional and friendly, and our home was left spotless after the install was completed. The new unit is incredible! It runs significantly quieter than the old one, and the zones in our home have never felt more comfortable.
When we had issues with the zoning a few days later they sent out a crew same day to check it out. They quickly found the offending transformer that was faulty out of the box, and replaced it. I was impressed with the way this company stands by their work, as the included warranty covered the service call and parts in full.
If you are looking for a fantastic HVAC experience from start to finish go with Scottsdale Air!

I can't say enough about this company and the professionalism shown to me. My a/c went out on the east side of the house and I have company coming next week and I was sure it was a goner. To my relief these guys fixed the problem and I HAVE AIR ON THE EAST SIDE. YEA.
No kidding, I highly recommend this company and I intend to have them out if I ever need any air conditioning work done. Tony was so professional and courteous and respectful.
Do yourselves a favor and get this company to do your repairs. Trust me, you will not regret it.
No, I am not related to or employed by them. I am just a homeowner and a landlord.

From the first call to the finished work an overall exceptional experience. I found my refrigerator failing in the evening and less than 24 hours, with AAA service my fridge was fixed. Inital call was informative about what to expect and AAA followed up to get me scheduled asap. They went above and beyond to help get the service done. Extremely grateful for the fantastic service, much appreciated!

I contacted Senor Mist to replace my aging, 15-year-old misting system which had become a nesting place for some local pack rats.
In a pre-sales phone setting, Karen, was very helpful in discussing options and sending me pictures and other information via email. My lack of clarity, as to my requirements, necessitated a visit by one of their technicians to assess my needs.
Lalo came onsite, saw our patio environment and suggested a solution. He even noted that one of our option was to run the old pump until it died (rare in a sales setting), but we decided to buy a misting system that was current and rodent-proof (more later). He was both knowledgeable and a gentleman, patiently answering all my wife's questions to her satisfaction. We were convinced that his price was fair so we agreed to the installation.
Lalo returned the next day, along with Zak to perform the installation. Again, both Lalo and Zak were perfect gentlemen who took the time to perform a solid installation and answer / address all of my wife's issues. Lalo even examined one of our patio fan settings to ensure that the mist would not etch the windows in our header. He truly was interested in completing the job to our satisfaction.
We all know that such courteous and knowledgeable technicians are rare now-a-days. It is for all the reason above I would given Senor Mist a 5-star rating.
PS: The new misting system design is fully enclosed removing any way in which the enclosure can be compromised by rodents looking for a nest. Problem solved!

This is my second review of Preferred Air! I still think they rock! My AC died! Time for a new one. They gave us a recommendation for a unit they said the owner had installed at his own home which was thousands less than other units. It was two days before they could install, however they gave us two free loaner window units which they came and set up for us in the meantime. When they came out for the install, we needed a small drywall repair which was anticipated and they had the repairman out the same day. They followed up the next day and one week later they came to the house for a follow up visit to ensure we were up and running optimally. This company was so impressive all their team members are awesome and helpful.
Many years ago with my last AC install, the company that will remain nameless left a huge drywall hole and didn't patch it or have a recommendation for us. We also had issues with their company extended warranty which they stopped servicing. They sucked! Post sale support was terrible! So for a complete soup to nuts solution with top notch post sale service go to Preferred Air. You will be happy you did!

Wish I could give this more than 5 stars! Called this company after discovering our AC had a leak. (Chose them specifically based on the reviews of others.) This past Friday, they replaced our AC and furnace. I can't say enough about the positive experience! Very professional, very caring, very detail oriented. There was no push for us to buy something bigger and better or spend money on useless accessories. The job was completed in a very reasonable amount of time and the price was very competitive! Rich and Brenda take the time to explain what they are doing and why and answer any questions you may have. They won't sell you something you don't need. From the get-go, they went out of their way to accommodate us. Contact was amazing! Customer service was beyond amazing! (Upon final inspection, even the inspector commented on what a good job they did!) This company operates with the utmost honesty and integrity...two traits that are rare to find in today's society. Highly, highly recommend!

I need to start off by saying that I called Michael at Desert Chill Air Conditioning at 6:00 pm on a Monday early evening. My A/C unit for upstairs all of a sudden was blowing out warm air and was over 90 degrees upstairs. I couldn't be more impressed with how honest and straight forward Michael was and getting my A/C Unit up and running within 5 minutes! He found the run capacitor to be bad, which was the best news for me as the customer. He had a new run capacitor on his truck, installed it, and what do you know, ice cold air upstairs again! Total Cost of $65. In the past several years, I have been given the run a round with many different A/C guys and companies. I am so happy to finally find Michael at Desert Chill Air! His honesty and ethics will never be forgotten in my books. If you are looking for the run a round and many different diagnosis with these companies, call someone else. If what you need is a quick and honest job, call Michael at Desert Chill Air Conditioning. I am so happy I did and still can't stop smiling!

I can no longer recommend Jaycox. Most recently, I had them out as my air conditioning wasn't working. It turned out to be my thermostat (a Honeywell from 2004 that allowed four intervals of programming on each day of the week). In less than 10 minutes, the technician installed a Honeywell FocusPro 5000. I was surprised to learn the new thermostat only allowed one setting. He said they used a one-setting thermostat as a more complex thermostat was often too confusing for their Sun City customers. I noted I would not be able to super cool; he said that I could super-cool by changing it manually. I noted I would have to be home and awake at all the times I want the temperature to change. He said he had an Ecobee programmable thermostat at home and liked it a lot. Then came the bill: $69 for the service call, $180 for the one-setting simple thermostat and its installation = $249.
Later, I started investigating prices and was shocked at how low one-setting non-programmable thermostats are. I called other HVAC vendors and also checked out sites like CostOwl that described what one should pay for various thermostats and their installation. Interestingly, I found the FocusPro 5000 on Alpine Home Air for a retail price of $57.72...I also found it lower on Mercari, but that is not a dedicated AC site. I noticed that the box the thermostat came in was dated 2013.
I called Jaycox and inquired about the cost of labor: $110/hour. I asked what the breakdown of labor and materials was for the thermostat installation and was told there was none; it was a flat fee for the item and the install. I twice talked to the service manager who said I could pay more to cover the cost of having an Ecobee or whatever thermostat I wanted installed.
After thinking about it, I told him I didn't want an Ecobee, rather something like I had before. I told him I felt taken advantage of in terms of pricing, and that I felt Jaycox has changed. He suggested I talk to the owner, Patrick, so I left a message. Patrick called me just after 7 a.m. when I was dead asleep. I asked if we might talk later when I was alert. I called again and left a message, but didn't hear back from him, so I tried calling again another day in the 0700 hour. I was told he would be paged (that surprised me). I never heard back.
Additional Notes:
I also asked the tech that put in the thermostat for an air-conditioning bid. He asked me the square footage of my house. On looking at the unit, he was surprised it was a 5-ton and asked if I had cathedral ceilings; I noted I have 9-foot ceilings. He said that was why a 5-ton was there and needed. I asked about a comprehensive exam, and he said there was no need as it had previously been done by the builder and their engineers. I had indicated a comprehensive exam was important to me in bidder selection. I specifically asked about an energy efficiency exam and he said it could be done after the AC install and they would often throw it in. He didn't look at any other items, and quickly gave me a bid.
I think I would prefer a comprehensive exam and efficiency upgrades *prior* to installing a new system as this could impact system size. Additionally, if the initial installers chose a system that was too large, it would be good to detect this.
I asked the technician if APS offered rebates on AC installations. He said no, that they said they were too poor. I later contacted APS and found that they do offer a rebate on qualified AC installations. --I also learned that APS offers a $30 rebate on certain smart thermostats, including Ecobee, but not the FocusPro 5000 (as it is a basic non-programmable thermostat).
It also bothered me that on another recent visit this year, the same tech told me that the price of R22 was going up and this would make maintaining my system more difficult and he suggested getting a new one sooner than later. I told him that per news reports, the price of R22 had actually been falling. He said I seemed well-informed.
Overall, it's my fault for not being diligent in vendor selection. In the past, I found Jaycox to be an economical choice. I know ownership has shifted to the kids from the parent in recent years. I have appreciated that Jaycox responds quickly to service calls. --On the other hand, as is clear from the above, I feel price-gouged on the overly basic thermostat that I have. --I understood the service manager to say that they usually carry two types of thermostats on the trucks (not sure what the other is). I got stuck with an overly basic one (one temperature only) at a high price.
I guess I am glad I learned a lesson on a smaller priced job.

This is the second unit that Jorge Flores has installed in my home and I am very satisfied with the work. Jorge Flores AC is a family owned business with excellent customer service. Their prices CANNOT be beat!
Jorge and his employees showed up on time and completed the work in a timely manner. Jorge is very knowledgeable and explained what was wrong with our old unit. Jorge and his employees have always been very honest and friendly in all of our experiences as well as my family and friends. He won't sell you something you don't need and in many cases has given us cheaper options than our initial request. Jorge is truly an honest person that cares for his customers. I will continue to refer them to friends and family!

Just when the heat advisory came out, our upstairs unit went on the fritz, and of course it was Saturday! We had no choice but to call. I was prepared to hear that I would have to pay extra on Saturday for a call, but did not. Louie arrived and was very professional and friendly. He put on his shoe covers before coming in my front door - which is ok because I think the shoe covers actually cleaned my floors! Lol. He never once tried to sell me a new unit - which was also part of why I hate calling these type of repair companies.
The bill was less than I expected, too. I rarely write reviews but I do read them, so I wanted to make sure Louie was acknowledged and George Brazil recommended.
