I have used Steve's for years, and I've always been happy with their customer service and response time. When my AC went out while I was out of town, I called them. They were there and had it fixed the next day within the time frame they promised they'd be there to check it out! The AC was cooling the house when I got home. This was in the middle of summer, so I really thought I'd be moving to a motel for the weekend. Nope! Steve's saved the day. I will always use them and recommend their services.

I had this company out back in July when my AC wasn't cooling i just found the first high rated company who was available and they came out pretty quickly and replaced the thermostat, no issues with their first visit . A few days ago our heater wouldn't turn on so i called out another company with 250 5 star reviews they were the first to respond and waived any diagnostic fee and they said my thermostat was wired wrong and my options were to either pay them now a 75$ fee for coming out or 280$ to rewire it. I immediately searched for the invoice because i couldn't remember who i had the work done by and eventually found the info and contacted the company. Irene answered the phone and immediately came off rude and with an attitude and asked why i didn't call them first, and if i had known at the time it was the thermostat i would've done prior research before calling out another company. Anyways i asked Irene if someone would be available now and she said right now ?! With a raised voice , the technician was at my home and was also baffled at how she spoke to me ! I clearly meant as sometime today as I'd like the heater working and the other gentlemen told me they had wired it wrong so i thought they were at fault but at NO point in the conversation was i rude at al i just wanted it fixed. Irene sent a technician out who said it was not in fact the thermostat but something else was wrong but couldn't tell me what so he said he's have to send another technician. I never heard back until 7pm that night with Irene called me with her snarky entitled attitude and asked if i wanted to schedule a diagnostic . Long story short after asking a few questions about cost she had attitude again and i called her out and let her know she was being rude for absolute no reason! I'm a customer trying to get my heater working in No way should a owners wife be talking to customers the way she spoke to me! Never will i use this company again and i suggest you support a different small business someone who will actually appreciate you as a customer ! Horrible customer service Irene you should be ashamed and someone needs to teach you how to run a business and it starts with not running off your customers!

They are totally amazing. Called Thursday night at 9 PM and they had somebody out on Friday at 1 PM. Very fast and reliable. I had somebody else come try to fix my nest that was installed and they were a complete nightmare. Now on the other hand Steve's had the problem solved in 20 minutes. They are super knowledgeable and very affordable and also very courteous!! Highly recommend!!

Had a small job of installing a Google Nest thermostat which my son had tried installing but wouldn't engage the heat. I put the job out on Yelp for bids. Steve's answered almost immediately, gave a bid that was very reasonable (in fact less than others and 1/3 of what my long time A/C company quoted) and set up an appointment for the next working day. The tech arrived early (imagine that!), was polite and competent. The charge was exactly as quoted.
I'm impressed and will look to do business with Steve's in the future.

Phenomenal Service! What sold me originally was the 20 minute conversation that l had on the phone with the Owners wife, who was very much interested in our problem and genuinely wanted to help. A very knowledgeable tech came to our home, explained what he was doing and why, showed me evidence of the problems and explanations as to why these issues arose. After fixing the problems, he ran a check of the whole system. Found little things, and took great care to comb through the system and adress everything. He took pictures and wrote down all work that he performed in detail. I was presented all of it,  in an email. He stayed late to make sure all was well. He went above and beyond. The owners wife called me the next night we again spoke for quite some time. She made sure everthing they could do waz being done, and l was charged a very reasonable price. They will be my HVAC people from now on.

Good place. My AC went out. It wasn't blowing any air but I could hear that it was still running. Called this place and they had someone out within 2 hours. The guy who came out was friendly. He went up to my unit, inspected and messed with it for about 20-30 mins and he advised us that the blower was out. It was $800 to replace (We weren't surprised as these fixes are not cheap). We paid him, and he came back in about 45 mins. Took another 30 mins to install and our unit was up and running all before dinner time. Nice, reliable, honest people.

I had Steve and his team install a new Bryant 5 ton Preferred 2 stage AC system last week. Complete demo and install was completed in about 8 hours. Steve and his crew had everything planned out perfectly. Old system was completely removed in 2 hours. 10 minutes later, new equipment arrived. 10 minutes later 2 more technicians arrived. A couple hours later, someone shows up to haul away all trash and old equipment. By the afternoon, my house was cooling down nicely and you couldn't even tell they had been here! The 2 stage system is amazing. You might find a cheaper quote somewhere, but do yourself a favor and pony up the extra dollars. You won't be sorry!

We can not say enough good things about Steve & his crew. They were at our house for 2 full days until the job was done right & completed. Our unit went out during 110 degree temps & they loaned us a portable unit until our unit came in. VERY pleased with this company, they do things right !!!

We have relied on Steve's Ultimate Air several times for our AC needs.  Everyone seems to know an AC guy, but Steve is the real deal.  He is very transparent and offers trustworthy service.  I have called him for regular tune ups and some repairs, and most recently yesterday with a whole HVAC replacement for my two story split system.  He is very personable and not pushy; I trust him with all of my AC needs. We had a problem with one of our AC units. We called and the same afternoon, Steves sent out someone to check out and fix our unit. It turned out it wasnt too complicated but he fixed it efficiently and at a very fair price. We will definitely call them back if we have any other issues.

My AC condenser unit needed a coil and compressor replaced.  I must've gotten over a dozen quotes. Half of them wouldn't even give me a quote, trying to force me into buying a new unit (old one is still under warranty) The other half were charging more $ for labor to repair the unit then to replace it. These are all 5* rated companies too!!!
Finally contacted Steve's Ultimate Air. Reasonable pricing, didn't pressure me to buy a new unit and were very accomodating in getting the hard to find parts ordered through distributor/manufacturer.  Showed up on the date and time promised and got me up and running.  Will definitely do business with them again.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Steve, the owner of a small business, to audit my system as the warm weather approaches. Mind you my system works flawlessly but I wanted it checked as it is over 10 yrs old. He crawled around my attic, checked 3 a coils and inspected the fittings and pans. He also tested the charge on all the compressors. He spent over an hr with me and basically said, your system is fine. He added a pound of coolant for good measure and wasn't going to charge me. I insisted and asked for 100 bucks. His honesty and experience in an industry prone to upcharging
makes his business top in the Phoenix AC circle. You want a fair shake?

$210.00 for an inspection that determined my unit is running good but short on a couple pounds of refrigerant that I happily had recharged 11 days ago.  I am now writing this less than two weeks later, and my home floor under the air handler is covered in water.  Calls to Steve's Ultimate Air resulted in the scheduling assistant expressing extreme and audible exasperation at the mere thought of us trying to get same day help to have someone look at what could have gone wrong since our very recent service call.

Edit/followup: a different, professional AC contractor showed at my residence for same day service and determined Steve's Ultimate Air actually overcharged my system with refrigerant and did not notice or care to notify us of the abundance of pet hair that had accumulated on the coils. This issue explained both the system's inability to cool, and the water collection issue.  Coils were cleaned for a nominal fee, and the extra coolant added by Steve's company was removed, restoring my HVAC to optimal operating condition.

Do not trust this company; look elsewhere.

I recently needed an older AC unit looked at during a property inspection.  I have heard great things about Steve's Ultimate Air, but hadn't used them personally.  I am happy to say we were delighted with the communication and customer service.  When something is outside your expertise you have to find a trusted partner to rely on.  They scheduled the appointment right away, were on time, and were super detailed with explanations and options when we were done.  I will be scheduling the repair service with them in the coming weeks.  If you are looking for an AC company with great customer service and fair prices, give Steve's a call.  Thank you Steve, Irene, and team!

Steve's ultimate has honestly saved my life more times than I can count! Both my a/c's went out this summer, and within a matter of hours on two occasions, they were out to fix my units. This is a great family business!

Great first time experience with this company!  They came out quickly to assess my heating problem and were able to work with my warranty to replace the necessary parts without trying to sell me a new unit.  Everyone I had contact with was friendly and professional.

We were having issues with our ac upstairs, so I sent an email inquiry about having someone come out and look at it. I got a response within 30 minutes or less and they were able to send someone out the following morning. My ac issue was resolved and now it's working really well. I would definitely recommend this place and I will most definitely use them again.

Great Experience with Steve's Ultimate Air. A fan motor on one of my outside units went out. From the time I called they had one of their technicians, who happened to be in my area already,  at my house within 30 min. Mike, the technician, was friendly and had the new fan installed quickly as well. I feel their price was reasonable. I will definitely call them again for any future work that is needed.

Air conditioner stopped working , called Steve's based on yelp reviews. They sent someone out 3 hours later and had my system going in 30 minutes. Hector was friendly and knew what he was doing. Cost me $130 as they replaced a capacitor. Highly recommend

I didn't hire this company personally, as unfortunately they don't work with AHS, but I gave 5 stars because the lady I spoke to on the phone to inquire about a second opinion was so full of knowledge and didn't hold back! She let me know that for what could be possibly causing the leak (based on what I was told by the other company) I would be better off going through my home warranty if I was looking for the least out of pocket option. She was friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and still tried to help me as much as she could. I was so impressed, I let her know that I'd be using them for all my maintenance after this repair is fixed.

Called them this morning, no answer machine but a real person and they told me they would have somebody in the area around 3pm or sooner. He sent a text at 2:45 saying he was on the way. 10 minutes later he showed up. Checked the unit thoroughly, made recommendations, and was done in 15 or 29 mins. So great. Rare to see a company this good!

I sent Steve a message asking about a certain service. Unfortunately, they don't provide that specific type of service. Steve and his wife gave me many recommendations and advice so I wouldn't get taken advantage of by other companies. I really appreciated the honestly and the integrity that he and his wife seem to have. I'd recommend them as they seem to be honest, good people.

Excellent service and expertise to fix the real problem with my air conditioner. We had a different AC contractor come out last year which totally missed the root of our problem. We were very happy with their service and they are reasonably priced.

Steve answered my call, was here within 15 minutes, and explained why I needed a new AC. He was proved reasonably, offered financing options, and was back at 5am the next day with a new unit. They were friendly, accommodating of my in and out schedule, and cleaned everything up so there wasn't a trace left behind. They even returned the next day to check in on it.

Was in a panic when the air quit blowing cold last night.  Called Steve and he took the time to walk me through some steps to see if it was something simple that I may have over looked.  Set an appointment for me this morning, was on time, super professional and had my AC unit blowing cold in no time at all.  Such a relief!!!!  Excellent pricing as well... Had an issue with one of my roof AC units and wanted them checked out, as well as a checkup on both units. Steve was able to schedule me that day, showed up on time, and quickly went to work, determined both units were in great shape and the issue i was just the defrosting of the units in the morning after a cold night. very reasonable rate for the check ups on the units. i would recommend him to anyone.

Honest, straightforward, competent, on-time, polite and professional.  What more could you ask for?  Well, also very affordable.  I called Steve at the recommendation of an old friend who is retired from the HVAC business.  He came, diagnosed the issues with my AC, showed me exactly what needed to be done and explained clearly why, did the work and we were a go.  Total charges, $200.  This after another company had estimated $410 for exactly the same work plus they had recommended an additional $650 that turned out to be unnecessary.  Savings to me of having Steve do the work?  $800!

I had Steve out this morning to do a service on my AC.  He was on time(a little early :)  ).  He is very honest and reliable.  I had one item that needed replaced, he replaced it no up-selling or trying to do unnecessary tune-up, repairs to my unit.

I had our unit go out over the weekend.  I contacted Steve and they got us on their schedule.  Iwas very happy with their service.  Ryan came out and diagnosed the issue of our downstairs A/C unit.  In fact, he checked both units for us.  Ryan pressure tested both units to verify each was functioning properly.  We addressed both issues and proceeded with the necessary repairs.  He explained everything to me in a detailed, yet understandable manner.  I truly feel he had my best interest in mind.  All in all we replaced 2 capacitors, added coolant to one of the systems and tuned up both units.  The monetary charge was definitely right in line with what I was expecting.  In fact, it cost less than I originally had expected.  I will likely get on an annual agreement with these guys to have them come out biannually to verify everything is in tip top shape.  Highly recommend to anybody looking for quality work at an affordable price!  Thanks Ryan and Steve!!

This is an excellent, top-notch, and honest company!!! I find that the older I get, the more I look for that select group of people/companies, that I can rely on for what I need. My go-to guys if you will. Steve has been that for my heating and air needs. I live out of state and needed a trustworthy go-to guy that I could call anytime to help me with my A/C units at my rental in Gilbert. Once I found Steve, it was a huge relief because I knew I found somebody that I could not only trust, but was reliable, didn't make me wait for days for service, and was very reasonable in price. I've used him now for several years for not only urgent A/C repairs but for preventative maintenance and servicing too. I couldn't be more happier with Steve and his company! Very honest and more than fair in pricing! When I called to set an appointment Steve the owner answered the phone.  Steve came to my house the next day to check my heater for possible CO 2 leak. He found everything to be safe and in great condition.  Two days prior I had a large company in the valley lie to me about a crack in my furnace and a CO 2 leak.  It's the company that advertises, no Melvin's.  Whatever you do please call Steve and don't bother calling any other company.  He is honest and knows his business!

If you want to grow a business hire people like Hector. If you want a company that you can trust use Steves. I've tried many but the good ones are few and far between.

Above & beyond helpful!  Responded quickly and actually read my initial request for help (my son recently home from hospital & I asked for a reply in text because my phone ringer off....).  Tech was kind and accommodating.  He even RESEARCHED MY WARRANTY (without my knowing) and got me half off!!  My AC is over ~5 years and I did not even know if warranty still existed!  Tech replaced the capacitor AND checked it all out (levels of Freon, etc).  HIGHLY RECOMMEND and support this local business!

Wow, they saved my ceiling before it collapsed again. Had my ceiling collapse last year when the drain for the A/C clogged. I had another A/C maintenance company advise me to install a cutoff valve for the drain to avoid this problem. You can imagine my surprise when I found water running down my wall and ceiling. My son advised me to call Steve and I did. I called 7:30 in the morning and they were there in less than 2 hours. They found the valve improperly installed and fixed that plus repaired the drain lines to function properly. I was back up and running in no time and their fee was very reasonable! By far the best co in Az for all of your Ac needs. Not only did he have knowledge of my unit but things I can do in my home to help the ac run better. This company is amazing and they are very reasonable. They understand folks have to work for their money and their bills are very very reasonable. I'm a service plumber so I know a thing or too on service costs. If you don't call them have someone else go out to your house and sell you things you don't know because they are all sales man. They will sell you things you don't need Steves Ultimate Air doesn't do that he diagnoses problem and he repairs not replace. Steves UA is who to call! Very reliable and responsible with a great team on the office and technicians.

Awesome!  Had one of my Units blowing hot Air.  Called Steve's and within 90 minutes had a technician at my house.  The problem was diagnosed and corrected and at a very reasonable price.  Definitely will use Steve's for my AC needs.  With so many disreputable providers it is a breath of fresh air when you find a good one!!

I was looking for an HVAC company to check my A/C in a mobile home I just bought. They were able to send Doug the next day at 11.  When he arrived he talked to me and answered all of my questions. I immediately felt comfortable with Doug's knowledge in getting the job done. My A/C unit is quite old but still working great. Doug showed me how to clean the filter and some other pointers to keep it running smoothly.  I'm definitely going to call Steve's for any of my HVAC needs in the future. It's always nice to deal with a polite, knowledgeable company.  Give them a call you won't be disappointed!

Steve with a new trainee came out to a house we rent to our son and his family - the unit was shutting off for awhile at the hottest times of the hottest days.
He quickly discovered that the unit had too much freon and extracted 2 pounds.  The high pressure shutoff switch was being tripped.  Now this confirmed a diagnosis that Hendel's A/C had made a few weeks earlier, but Hendel's had charged $89 for the service call but wanted about $80 to extract the extra freon.  But Steve's price for (1) the service call, (2) the freon extraction and (3) hooking up a common wire so the thermostat did not need batteries anymore was $55.  Total.
Now how did my system get too much freon?  All I know is that freon was added 2 winters in a row because of freeze up.  I have receipts for 1 pound added by Falcon Air Conditioning on 12/18/2015 and 1.5 pounds added by Hendel's Air Conditioning a year earlier on 12/30/2014.  (These are just the facts and I am not drawing any conclusions.)
So Steve scheduled a checkup in November to troubleshoot my winter freeze up issue.  He indicated it may be the expansion valve at the outside unit that is at fault and not the assumed low freon.  But that is a check that needs to be done when the weather turns cold.
My son and family are happy because the air is finally working as it should and is more efficiently (13 amps instead of 15 amps).  And I am happy because I have found an A/C company that I feel I can trust.

I saw Steve's work van while driving to my office and saw that he was local and gave him a call.  He came by my office the next day and saw what I needed.  It was quick, easy and affordable so I hired him to change out my vents to increase much needed air flow in my office.  It wasn't a big job but I'll use this company again if my AC acts up.

Absolutely the most amazingly positive experience with a repairman - EVER!  Hot SUNDAY morning and whamo the A/C is acting like a heater.  With the help of YELP I called three service places and then Steve answered his phone.  Within 90 minutes he was at my house and diagnosing my problem.  All the unit needed was a quick fix (replacement of the thermostat)!  Steve never had to go to the roof.  The only hustle with Steve is in how fast he gets things done.  He was polite, personable, honest, fair and charged the EXACT PRICE for a service call that he would have charged any other day of the week AND he didn't charge for any labor to install the thermostat.  Now I know a guy when it comes to needing A/C services.

A few weeks ago on a Friday when it was around 118 degrees out my A/C unit was having problems most the day and decided to use Yelp to find a reputable service company to come out and take a look. Steve's Ultimate was about my 3rd call (first two had no availability), it was about 2:30pm and Steve told me he would be there about 4pm and was right on time. He was there about 30 minutes and had me up and running again (outside compressor blower motor out). I would recommend.

It's hard to find people you can trust nowadays.  Fortunately for me I have had the opportunity to work closely with Steve and Irene and they have always been straightforward and honest.  You can't go wrong with Steve's Ultimate Air.

Steve was a breath of fresh air after dealing with two other big names A/C companies. The other guys said it would take 1200-1400 to repair my AC unit and were pushing me to spend 7K on a new unit. I called up Steve and he had everything fixed for $340. Such a relief! Most A/C guys are really just salesmen, but Steve is an honest and fair professional.
