Best Painters in Arizona

The first week of March we had J & M Painting paint our home. Our job required the use of five colors and an upgrade to Dunn Edwards top grade paint, Evershield. We had several bids and all were higher than J & M - $700 to $1900 higher! I had read reviews on many companies before deciding on who to receive bids from. They sent Ernesto out on the job. My first thought was where is the crew?, but after talking to Ernesto and outlining the locations to be painted I learned that he is a perfectionist who pays close attention to detail and was perfect for the task. The job he did was excellent and the lines separating the colors on the stucco walls are among the best I have seen. It has been nearly two months and I have not seen any errors! Even though it took a little longer with one man on the job, it was definitely worth it! The job from start to finish was excellent. I am so happy with the work performed.

Rising Phoenix did some interior and exterior painting for us this week. Juan was quick to respond and the crew did a great job. We will definitely use them again!

Did an excellent job and quick!!! Everything was done as they said I would definitely recommend these guys. Refinished oak cabinets and painted the entire house.

I was sent am email stating that someone would meet me for an estimate at 9:30 am. I waited and waited. I sent messages asking them where they were, and if they were still coming. Never received any answers. They never showed up. What a waste of my time. Very unprofessional. Many other painters actually showed up. Chose someone else. Don't waste your time, call someone else.

I can't thank Hector, Jack and the crew (Beto...) enough! They did an excellent job painting the interior of our 4k square foot house! They communicated well and were flexible with me adding painting our stair railings (letting me know the paint would take a couple extra days). When Hector and his crew completed painting the interior - he told me to write all the touch ups he would need to do. I texted him a couple weeks later and he did all the touch ups! He even went around to the blue tape he had put in a couple weeks ago and touched those areas up. Best thing about Hector and the crew is that they are so friendly and so respectful to the house (even with my rambunctious kids around). Thank you Extra Mile! You are my go-to painter!

My house was absolutely destroyed by Kokopelli Painting Company (kokopellipainting.webs.c…) and Robert from Arizona's Best Family Painting was a life saver.  The previous painters spilled paint over every inch of my flagstone patio, my patio furniture, and any plants that they could target nearby.  The house looked like a child had painted it.  Robert from Arizona's Best Family Painting gave me a very fair quote to try and fix as much of the damage as possible.  They did the work in a day and a half and the results are absolutely perfect.  You will not be disappointed with their work or their professionalism.

Did some stucco work for us. Was very responsive and did excellent work. Also was a great value!

Our house was badly in need of new exterior paint. I contacted several local painting companies for estimates. Some never bothered to get back to me, or did so after several days. Pretty much what I've come to expect for most service providers these days.

Mike from Crash of Rhinos called me within hours of when I sent my email inquiry. He was professional, informative and courteous. He was able to come to my house soon after we spoke and explained the service they provide. He gave me a full written estimate along with a good description of the different types of paint available. There were also options as to whether I wanted them to paint things such as our view fence.

All that was great and I was very impressed, however the best part was yet to come... After looking at the paint sample booklets and choosing 2 or 3 schemes I liked, Kim brought samples over and put a little on the house so I could see how they really looked. She also took a photo and had the paint store make some mock-ups of the house with different color schemes. Kim also contacted our HOA and submitted our proposal to paint. It was so nice not to have to hassle with figuring out which forms to use, where to send it, etc.

The workers were delayed in starting by a rare several days of rain. They ended up doing the entire house over the course of a couple of days. The workers were quiet and courteous. The paint looks great. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't wreck any of my plants. I couldn't be happier! And the price paid was within dollars of the estimate I got from another company.

I scheduled Alain Painting to paint my nursery. They were willing to get the paint for me but I'd already purchased it as I wanted to make sure I got Ecco (low-emissions paint). it was a small job, just 2 walls and 2 different colors. Alexander coordinated a time and date for me and he and his guys (a total of 3 men) were punctual and professional. They were in and out in a matter of 2.5 hours. And the job was spectacular. Alexander will be back on Tuesday to install the decal--it's a tree with leaves, birds, and our daughter's name. It'll sit just over her crib.

~TL;DR~

I sat on this review a few weeks while I thought through, and sought lessons that could be learned from the experience. Since I signed-off on the work, I don't expect any action from the company. However, the experience matters so I will share.

I have a new-build. This is my first home. I wanted to paint my interior doors black. I specifically wanted my doors to be sprayed, NOT brushed or rolled.

I confirmed and re-verified this at every step... then the crew arrived. I was pressured to allow rolling and brushing to make the crew's job easier because they didn't want to do all of the prep work required to spray (prep work that was already outlined in the quote, and that I was prepared for). No one communicated to me a NEED to change the method. I was told by the crew, and the manager, not to be concerned with any difference in quality.

There were also a few hours in the middle of the multi-day job where the manager attempted to get me to pay 80% of the original cost, MORE, to resolve defects in the workmanship. (More on that if you read the full review via the link)

Well folks...here I am with brand new doors that are painted that have clear evidence of rolling and brushing, which is why I wanted them sprayed in the first place. I am pleased with my color choice...it is STUNNING! However, the workmanship and customer service left a lot to be desired. Perhaps the discount that was running at the time of the quote resulted in reduced effort, and workmanship?

Again, I don't expect anything from APC because I signed off on the work, and terms are terms. Lesson learned.

I am quoting with another company to have my brand-new doors sanded and repainted to achieve the look I wanted the first time...had my initial request to spray been honored.

I hope your experience turns out better. I believe they are capable of the many things they advertise. However, my experience was sub-par.

AmaZing job by Chris and his crew.. I just bought a house and was very crunched for time to get moved in. Chris helped me decide colors by showing many different samples. He fixed baseboards that were missing (no charge) and did so with such a great attitude. I would definitely hire this crew again. Very polite and professional. Love the finished product (2300sf) in just 3 short days.

Highly recommend Frogstar Faux Finishing!   Annie is fabulous!  She listened very carefully to what I wanted and the look I was hoping to get on my large entryway columns.  Since I was not 100% sure she offered to do samples of a few looks so that we could discuss and I could make a decision.  I could not be happier with the finished product!   She and her assistant were excellent and made my columns look exactly like the marble ones you see in Italy.  LOVE THEM!  They are extremely talented artists.
Also, they have terrific, friendly, positive personalities so they are a joy to have around.  A plus was that each day they cleaned up the area and they love dogs so I did not have to worry about putting up my dog each day.
If you are looking to have custom painting done - definitely call Frogstar!

Wow...just Wow!  We couldn't be more happier with the work that Rob and his team did for home.  Fair prices, quality work, truly paid attention to every detail.  They really went above and beyond for our project. What they were able to do with our home is amazing!  We are truly grateful with the job they did, and we wouldn't trust anyone else with our future painting projects!

Great painting company! Definitely would recommend to anyone who likes fast, efficient, reliable and affordable painting and drywall services! The owner Justin was very polite and very professional about his work! They did an amazing job repairing our drywall and painting our new home! We will be getting our exterior painted shortly by them as we are very pleased with the interior work completed!

Terry is great!  He gave me a more than competitive quote, and the work was done earlier than I expected by a wonderful team of guys.  Super clean, on-time, and the paint looks great.  I will definitely call this company for any more painting required.  Just FYI: Terry says he isn't a huge fan of tech, so there is no emailing of invoices or paying online.  I believe we had to actually mail a check.  Minor detail that didn't affect our experience at all. I am very happy and impressed with the work done by Trylogy! They were very responsive, very friendly, very prompt and professional and did EXCELLENT work in a very timely manner. I would definitely recommend them!

Mike and his team were fast, efficient, reliable, and did quality work. We had a tight timeline and they did a great job being flexible and completing the job in a timely manner and with a great result. Mike also referred us to his designer to help choose colors which helped a lot. His pricing is competitive as well. They did our entire house- walls,trim, cabinets, bannister, and it breathed new life into our home. I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

Whatever you do DO NOT use this company!  They treat there customers poorly!  Yell at them when they ask questions or expect any level of professionalism.  Run don't walk!!
