I love my experience with drain help had an emergency where I couldn't do wash because I had a plug pipe. Water was backing up and dirt into our bathtub we have a very old home... Drain help came out cleaned it out and in about an hour I had The ability to wash clothes again! I would recommend drain help on any occasion specially in an emergency! Thank you so much!

Our shower valve died suddenly and we had to shut the water off to our entire house. I called several plumbers and most either didn't even pick up the phone or didn't have availability to do the job for days. I stumbled upon PIC plumbing during my google search and gave them a call. Polite, courteous and very understanding of my dilemma, they worked to open up a slot to provide me emergency service at my home. Once they received my information in their system, automated emails and messages kept me updated on the technician's arrival time. Once on-site, the technician worked quickly and efficiently to resolve my issue...which turned out to be slightly more complex due to issues caused by whoever worked on the valve previously. Price was more than fair for the quality of service. Thanks!!! Will definitely recommend to my friends and family!

When You Find a Great Handyman, Cling to Him Like Glue!

The door which connects the garage to the house is a Pre-hung, fire rated, self-dampening/closing hinges, heavy duty steel exterior door. It has retracting hinges which if you let the door go, it closes by itself. This door was out of alignment long time ago. The do it yourselfer that I am, I have fixed it & made it work; therefore, extended its life by 5 years. Lately the lock stopped functioning & I replaced it but it would not lock! I kept on messing with it, adjust it, readjust it and even moving around the latch but it would simply not want to lock. Then I noticed that the bottom hinge just like before, is completely out, so that is why it is not aligning & it has nothing to do with the lock! So as before, I took the hinge off, shoved some wood & glue in the 3 worn off screw holes and re-screwed the hinge back tight but it still would not lock; morely, now it would get stuck & not even completely shut!

I finally gave up because the man must know his limitation. There is a thin line between do it yourself & screwing up the job! As I had extended the life of this door by 5 years & this turn around, it would not work, I just decided to replace the complete door. So, I called Alejandro Alvizuri which is now my choice of handyman and I told him to come & replace the door.

Alvizuri was dead busy but he managed to shove me somewhere in between his appointments. He rushed over, checked the door & told me, why do you want to spend a lot of money to replace this door? This is a perfectly fine door, a very expensive door. Let's first try to align it and adjust the lock. To think of it, I looked at the door & said, yeh, there is nothing wrong with this door! You see, Alvizuri could simply replace the door & make much more money but he is a type of guy which would always try to fix things before replacing. He is a straight forward, honest man which knows what the hell he is doing.

Since my last review, Alvizuri had learned much more handyman tricks & techniques. As I have mentioned in my last review, he is a school teacher turned handyman to keep his sanity from the educational system! Even though he loves teaching but he wanted to be his own boss, have his own schedule & work on his own terms. He fixed his own house, neighbors' houses & the next thing you know, he become a professional handyman! According to Alvizuri, since he become a handyman, he is happier, calmer & his mental health is even better!

Alvizuri is a lovable man, courteous, big smile, funny & he knows what the hell he is doing; so, he will not screw up your house! I told him about his last name's history & had a scholarly chat with him.

Alvizuri = Al (The) + Vizuri (Good) = The Good

Which I prefer to call him that because he is really a good man. His name is a Spanish word, originally Arabic from the Golden Age of the Arab Caliphate Colonialism, went to West Africa & mixed with the Swahili language & from there to Morocco and Spain, when Arabo-Muslims conquered Spain. That is why a 3rd of the Spanish words are Arabic & Arabic rooted. Alvizuri is originally Hispanic & Peruvian but the originality of his name is Arabic. Now you may ask, how the hell do I know all this? Because I am a historian & a linguist amongst other things!

Alvizuri kindly shoved me in between his busy schedule & returned for a 2nd time to align the door & adjust the lock. I watched him work, so I could learn something from him. I always watch contractors work. A day you haven't learned a new is a day wasted! I noticed that Alvizuri is now even more detail oriented. He used long nails, not too long to wear out the screw holes & not too short to not make the door stable. After a neat alignment of the door & adjustment of the lock, finally he made it work & saved me big money.

Alvizuri said, let me give you a friendly advice, next time, do not mess things so bad that my job would become harder to fix it! Alvizuri is a funny guy, every time I see him, we have fun chatting about everything & laughing off during the time he does the job.

Alejandro Alvizuri is a decent, honest, humorous, courteous, knowledgeable, punctual, reasonable, hardworking handyman. Do you need anything else in a contractor? Do I know how to pick my contractors or do I know how to pick them?! I have just made your lives easier by finding you a fabulous handyman! Hire him now & you can thank me later! I've used these guys in the past and they took good care of me on price and service.

I had a female tenant call them to have a clogged line snaked and they charged her a whopping $395!!! I guarantee you that they wouldn't have charged that if I were the one there. They clearly took advantage of a female.

Well, they don't have to worry about that ever again as I will never use their shady company again. Hopefully this post will help save some of the females out there from being taken advantage of like my tenant was.

Cameron was absolutely amazing! He saved the day at such short notice and fixed multiple drains that were backing up. He was extremely thorough, knowledgable, professional, and ultimately blew us away with his customer service and quick work! They are ok, expensive for test and quite expensive for repairs. They came a day before (knew it later) they were scheduled to be, I guess that may be ok but having clear information is useful.

My house was a mess crap in the tub back ups every where.  Fredrick came to My reduce.  Had to replace some of my old galvanized pipes it was a bit high but we'll worth it.

We noticed an increase in our water bill and it looked like a leak in our service line.  Tried our current plumber and they couldn't find it, they recommended CPL.  A good friend had already told me about CPL and said they came recommended by USAA which is also our insurance company.  I gave them a call and was pleasantly surprised how well their process was described and how it was priced.  They came the same day.  

Steven A was very professional, explained his approach, went to work and found the leak in less than two hours. He marked it on the pavement with chalk in a square that was less than 2 feet by 18 inches.  It was fixed today and Steven nailed it...still feels more like art and magic which is what a trained professional like Steven brings when you have great technology and even better experience.  Thank you Steven A and thank you CPL!

We had them come and repair a hose leak and shower. They came and did a great job. They are very responsive on Yelp.

I just messaged them about a new leak near the area of the shower. Hopefully, they do a good job at a reasonable price here as well.

Super quick response time on an urgent gas leak, handled the project with ease, and had it done in less than 24 hours. 10/10.

After 30 years the water valves for the clothes washer and kitchen sink were in desperate need of replacement.  The Willis brothers showed up at the scheduled time, were very polite, performed the necessary plumbing valve replacements, and left the work areas clean.

I am happy to support a small family business in. North County San Diego. Their prices are reasonable/competitive and they do a great job.

I've used R & R Plumbing in the past and have always been happy, this time was different!  Jimmy, the technician, arrived on time, greeted me by name, and was extremely positive in his mood for the day. I showed Jimmy what was needed, and he listened and continued on with the repair. The repair took less time than I anticipated, and everything was put back into place when he was done.

Will DEFINITELY use this company again in the future.

I had Jerry install a new water heater for me. He did an outstanding job. There was a lot of sediment in the bottom of the heater, and he very patiently waited for it to drain. This slow draining added time to his estimate, and he didn't charge any extra. Jerry is very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. I had a leak near my water main that needed immediate assistance. James arrived within about two hours and fixed the pipe, a major repair, on a Saturday. Really appreciate the kindness, responsiveness and professionalism.

Some background.  I was going to bed on a Monday night when I heard a faint hissing sound.  Walking about the bedroom I determined the sound was coming from the master bathroom.  Ah hah I thought, my wife must have mistakenly left her radio turned on.  Walking into the bathroom I could see the radio was turned off and that the sound seemed to be coming from below the sink.  Uh oh.  I got down on my hands and knees and could see a pinhole leak coming from the flexible water intake line to the faucet.  Note - this was a main intake line and could not be shut off in the bathroom.  I unsuccessfully attempted to tape the leak such that I could leave the water on to our home.  My wife was coming home later that night and it would have been nice to have water flowing.  No such luck, I needed to shut off water to the house.
Tuesday morning I was desperate to find a plumber who could come to the house soon and at a reasonable price.  I called the major plumbing services who all begin at approximately $130 for house call with additional charges for parts.  These major plumbing services also couldn't commit to a final bill until the plumber arrived to view the situation.  Sorting Yelp plumbing reviews by Highest Rated I noted Accolade Plumbing (AP).  AP is owned/ operated by Gabriel Jay and is based centrally in Mission Valley.  Shortly after 8am Tuesday morning I phoned APs number.  Jay answered the cell number and I described my situation.  Jay stated he already had two jobs ahead of me but that he thought he could be at my home by 10:30am.  Wow I thought, that is terrific!  Then I asked about price.  Jay stated a dollar figure which was very reasonable.  I asked if that was labor or parts and labor?  Jay stated that was total bill including parts and taxes!  Sold!!  (Side note - payment is cash only).  And then Yelpers it gets even better.  Jay phones me at 9:40am and says he quickly completed his two other jobs and could be at my house by 10am if that would work for me.  Heck yes!  
Jay arrived at 10am.  Upon shaking hands Jay immediately struck me as a courteous and trustworthy individual.  He looked at the intake line which was as I had described on the phone.  I was concerned that Jay might not have this line in his van and may have to go after a correct part.  Jay put me at ease and said he stocks all common lines and valves.  Sure enough, Jay walked to his van and opened the side door.  I was impressed with how neatly and organized the van interior operated as mobile stock room.  Jay came back with the required line and set to work.  Within a short time Jay had removed leaking line, installed new line, cleaned space, restored water to the house and successfully tested operation with no leaks.  
Honestly Yelpers, I cannot thank you enough for highlighting a truly wonderful person and plumber in Accolade Plumbing!  I now know who to call when faced with plumbing challenges or crisis - call Jay!

Wish I could give 10 stars! Our old water heater finally gave out on us at around 2 in the morning. Water was leaking everywhere and it was super overwhelming. I was calling around like crazy trying to find a plumber with an affordable price and it is tough! Thankfully I found Plumbing 101. These guys were my savior, they got to my place in just 7 hours from when I found out the water heater needed to be replaced. Nathan was super positive and friendly. He told me all the steps we needed to take and walked me through it. You can tell he actually cares about what he does. he's for sure my go to plumber whenever I need something now. Do yourself a favor and call him when you need help. You will not regret it! The prices alone make it worth it, and his quality work and awesome attitude is just a cherry on top.
