This place charged me $600 for fix the entire toilet unit but failed to mention that didn't include the gasket? Wtf? The other plumbing place only charged me $400 to replace the entire toilet and the seat.... Not to mention the water started leaking within a year warranty and refused to honor that. I'll definitely advise my realtors and ob community to stay away from this place.

Ps. They quoted me $350 to replace the gasket and screws... I can get that at Home Depot for $30 ‍ I guess I'll just do it myself.

Efren fixed my leaky faucet and its wonky handle. He was polite and professional. I'm thrilled with my old/new faucet.

My husband & I recently bought a house and sure enough, our small remodel turned into a full-blown renovation.  From the showers, sinks, faucets, toilets pipes, freestanding tubs (yes, plural), etc., Happy Plumbing moved heaven & earth to completely redesign our entire home.  We worked closely with Blake, Jake, Clint, Chris, & DJ, just to name a few. Chris Q just finished! Did great work moving water lines and drains for a kitchen remodel.  They responded right away when I called about a leak I caused.  Very friendly answering service, reasonable price.  Having them back tomorrow to take care of some other stuff!

Wow! They came out same day for an urgent plumbing issue. They charged a fair price, weren't pushy whatsoever and the plumber named Noble was extremely friendly. I will definitely be using them again in the future.

Marco was very professional and helpful.  He crawled under the house in an incredibly tight space to check for leaks in my washer drain pipe in an effort to locate the source of a bad smell. No leaks so narrow it down to a problem with the washer itself properly not draining completely. (Need appliance person probably) But he located the probable problem. Also secured bidet to the floor with bolts after the original installer had evidently only chalked it to his floor.

We had a drippy shower we were losing about 2-3 gallons a day and tried to get someone in to look at it. Everyone was booked out at least a week, but Garrett at Happy Plumbing made time for us right away. He was efficient, honest and trustworthy, and gave us a fair price without yrying to sell us on anything else.

Just had Clint clear a problematic clog at an HOA Condo.  One of the friendliest, knowledgeable plumbers I've ever hired.  Great guy.  Having had problems with trust from different plumbers in the past, I can say that these guys will be on my speed dial when I have issues in the future. Thanks.

I had horrible, unprofessional experience with this guys, maybe they good in some easy things like clogged toilets or broken faucets but not in a water heater and boiler system. I will never call them again.

I tried to work with this company to get an estimate for removing and replacing cast iron drain pipes in a building I own. They were very responsive which was nice but unfortunately I backed out of having them actually come give me the estimate when I heard they charge for it (I think it was $95). Now mind you they say they will waive that fee if you use them... But that puts the customer in quite a bind. My advice is skip places that make use of this practice and give your money to business that believe enough in their service to not feel they need to trap potential customers. I

I called about a clog that was deep in our plumbing and they were able to have someone come out and have the job done within 2 hours that day. Chris Q was very professional, explained what was going on with the plumbing, and was really efficient with his work. Would definitely use them again in the future.

Showed up right away when I called. Great pricing and very knowledgeable. Had my roots cleared from my sewer system with Hydro Jetter and camera the line for free after to ensure there were no more obstructions. Highly recommend!!!!!

Happy plumbing helped us with a bathroom plumbing issue and actually found a leak in the wall that had been the source of a musty smell for some time. Also helped with a blocked drain in the kitchen after a shoddy home warranty company couldn't fix the issue.

I called John based on a NextDoor recommendation for a pipe a contractor broke, and he was kind enough to come over right away. He quickly determined it wasn't an active line (phew!) then took the time to troubleshoot some other plumbing concerns I had -- without charging me! Honest, likable and knowledgeable -- all great qualities you'd want in any service provider. We're having John back next week to give us an estimate for some major plumbing rehaul work.

Chris Q helped us with a few issues around our house (clogged drains, toilet flushing issues, etc.). He was prompt, reliable and thorough in his approach. The company offered a full service fix to all the issues including getting appropriate parts. I would definitely recommend this company (and Chris Q) for all plumbing needs!

I had a exterior leak and did not know the source. Jake came out the next day to assess the issue and called to notify me that he needed access to my unit. He was able to meet me on my scheduled day off and arrived promptly at 10am. He determined my water heater needed to be replaced and went into action. He quickly gathered all the supplies he needed to complete the job and it was done in a few hours. He was able to navigate install issues that arose, had to dismantle the water heater closet to ensure a proper fit without creating damage, and left the apt the way he found it, only with a new water heater! Thanks Jake for your quick response and professionalism.

I almost don't want to write this review because I am afraid he will get too busy and I won't be able to hire him! But, he is so good and reasonable that I must! I have had him do about three jobs for me and he excelled at each. The first one was a major trench digging, pipe laying one. He came in under his reasonable estimate and after about a year and a half all is well. He is a really cool guy and it is a pleasure to have him around.

Always call these guys first when you have a plumbing issue.  Over the holiday weekend when all of the building maintenance was shut down, Happy Plumbing and Drain was there to the rescue.  I had a major leak that was filling up the kitchen and if it wasn't for them, I would have probably drowned in my apartment and died.  These guys responded within an hour and scheduled a time to inspect and come fix the problem - on the very same day - so grateful!  Super fast and friendly service; and when the repairs were complete, it was like nothing ever happened!  I can't rave enough about how professional, awesome and patient these guys were in my frazzled frenzy of a phone call.  They helped calm me down, and reassured me that the issue could and would be repaired.  I took a chance by calling this company when I saw their business card, and they turned out to be quality plumbers!  They gained my business, for sure, and I would recommend them to everyone. John has been excellent in numerous projects around our HOA.  He recently was able to fix a major leak underneath concrete in a matter of a few days at very reasonable rate.  It was so important to have this done in a timely manner as most things are closed during COVID-19 and water is essential need.  He is excellent at communicating and getting the job done right? Highly recommmend!

John Edwards of Happy Plumbing in Ocean Beach is the best and his prices are reasonable.  He has helped us and provided outstanding service at our home in Ocean Beach and with our rental properties in Pacific Beach and University Heights.  I have recommended him to many others through my networking group in Ocean Beach.  One thing that's confusing is that there is another company called Happy Plumbing out of Santee and looking at some of the reviews, I can see that some people get confused and call the wrong company.  The right number to call for  John Edwards in Ocean Beach is 619-846-1081.

This person is a total flake. Tried calling the phone number, but it rings no answer and no voicemail available. Initially respond to text messages then never followed up with responses to questions. When we did get a hold of him, he provided us with a 1 hour window to come to our house for an estimate, then never showed up. My husband took off from work so he could meet him, and he never bothered to call or respond to texts. Not only is this behavior unprofessional,  but completely irresponsible. I would question his work ethics and assume his work is half ass too.

The skinny: Responsive, friendly, efficient - TOTALLY exceeded expectations, and more than reasonable pricing. You want John on your list of who to call for your plumbing issues. As good as a customer service experience gets. Seriously.

The story: We woke up this morning to water gushing out of a pipe next to the house and pooled water down the slope on our street corner (ostensibly from our house). It was 6:30am and we do not have a regular plumber. So we called our neighbors who gave us Happy Plumbing & also Bill Howe for 24/7 coverage. Given the time, we called Bill Howe first, where they were more excited about how we got their name than the problem we were having. By then it was 6:45am, and Bill Howe asked if we wanted it dispatched for after hours where it will cost time and a half, or if we wanted to wait until the office opened at 7am. Since we'd immediately turned off water to the house (pre-shower, pre-teeth brushing, pre- make sure the dogs have enough water for the day), I was anxious to get things going - I asked if they'd call at 7, or if I'd be put in the call queue. The Bill Howe answering service said I'd probably get a call around 8am, so I opted for the pricier after hours dispatch. When I hadn't heard anything after 20 minutes, I called Happy Plumbing and Drains.

John picked up right away; I explained our problem. He said he was right down the street and could swing by to take a look, but that he had another big job that he'd need to get to (huge points for responsiveness *and* setting expectations). With this plan, he could come by & take a look, and - since we were on a slope with water leaking at the curb - if we needed to call CPL to find the leak source, we could get that going (score more points for strategic planning). I called Bill Howe to let them know I had things covered. (It was 7:15am and they hadn't gotten to my message yet.)

John & his assistant, Neil, arrived around 7:30am, took a thorough look, and diagnosed the problem - it wouldn't need CPL, which was awesome, and it was a straightforward fix. At this point I'd expected them to run off to their other job, and I could at least be happy knowing that we knew what the problem was and they'd be back later to fix it. Nope - John stayed and fixed it. AND they were out by 8:15am (more points for efficiency) and off to their next job.

So that's the scoop. They cleaned everything up, were SUPER reasonably priced, and were knowledgeable and professional. Put Happy Plumbing & Drains on your list of people to call when the house breaks. You'll be stoked you did!!

This was my first meeting with John Edwards of Happy Plumbing & Drains in Ocean Beach. He is my new hero. It is Friday before Labor Day weekend & he was first to respond to my calls for help. Do you know how hard it is to get anything done on such a Friday without prior scheduling? The diverter valve on my bathtub spout quit working this morning, so I couldn't use the shower. Not a huge deal except that is the only way to get really clean in my place! He was finishing another job in my area so he was here in 10 mins! Saw the problem, bought the part, installed & tested...all within 1 hour. I thought his charge was totally reasonable & I will definitely call him again. Thank you, John.
