As what happens to probably most, you walk into the garage where the water heater is located and find an unexpected pool of water!  Time to search for a repair place.  Found Discount Plumbing and immediately called them.  Responsive and professional customer service.  Timely scheduling of technicians who called to they let me know they were on their way.  Hansel has a calm and respectful demeanor, and was very personable and very knowledgeable about water heaters, piping, connectors, etc.  Leak was detected.  Fortunately it wasn't the water heater, but rather bad piping.  Store run made for parts and repair completed.  Honestly, the estimate of the work to be done seemed high, but I needed the repair ASAP, appreciated the pleasant customer service, and especially appreciated the friendly technicians that the cost was worth it.

They had an actual solution and ideas to fix a unique plumbing issue that the other plumbers threw their hands up on. They also showed me the error of my DIY ways in a way that kept my ego intact. Thanks for the fixes and not bruising my ego too much along the way.

I hired Kelly to do a job on my behalf and after accepting she notified us it was on the understanding that she couldn't get to the repair for three weeks which we understood and accepted.  Two days prior to the agreed upon date she cancels saying I don't do repairs in this area.  To me this just talks to the lack of thoroughness of how she does things.  We specifically talked to her about the job and its location, now she decides she doesn't want to go where the job is and cancels. She has left us high and dry searching for a new repair person.  Kelly's business practices are very poor and for this reason I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

We've had the unfortunate luck of needing multiple plumber services this year, and we're so glad to have found Troy Plumbing for all our plumbing needs. Always timely, very responsive, and amazing professionalism, all for a great price. Highly recommended.

I have used these folks several times, and have always been impressed. They set appointment windows, and keep them! The prices are fair (not cheap), the costs are explained carefully, choices are left to the customer, and everything is explained upfront. Also, they really stand behind their work.

I knew I had chosen the right company when there was a problem. The details aren't interesting, but I can say they came through beyond any of my expectations. The owner himself showed up to do dirty work as long as it took to correct what turned out to be a small issue. Even though it turned out to be small, they took the problem very seriously until it was completely resolved

You'll be in good hands if you choose these guys. They go above and beyond.

Andrew Diaz was great. On-time, thorough, left the place neat and clean, extremely professional, polite, explained everything.  Highly recommed.  If only all repair people were like him.

I had an emergency at my house. Basically roots stuck at my sewer pipe and water didn't go through.  I called those guys, they told me that they can fix it, but they need to have an access to the pipe, so the toilet itself has to be removed. To safe some money I've done that by myself, call that guys again and they cleaned the pipe. Now it works perfect. Guys don't mind to share the information, they understand that you might have a hard time and helping you out. They arrived on the first call within 5 hours, which I wanna say not bad.

I had a urgent need for a plumber due to a water leak in my toilet supply line. True Plumbing was very responsive and sent Sean and his partner over within a couple hours as promised.
They found the leak quickly and gave me a very reasonable quote. They fixed the leak and gave me the pipe with the hole and explained what caused the leak.
I would recommend them and use them again if needed.

Burt was on time and very professional. Did a great job fixing our clogged line. Was charged the price I was quoted. Would definitely recommend and if I ever need a plumber they will always be the one I use.

I had Steven out from Elite last Saturday for a backed-up sink. I was afraid it was going to be a crazy expensive job as our house is over 100 years old. Steven listened to my concerns and gingerly rootered the pipes until we had a great flow ;) The cost was FANTASTICALLY reasonable and they were FAST! I will definitely use again.

Very knowledgeable and quick to figure out what was wrong with my toilet.   John came with a mask and was friendly and courteous.  I will never use any other plumbing company.   Thanks BMP and John!

First off... The name... California Plumbing, at 421 Date Ave, Imperial Beach 91932.  Be sure that this is the California Plumbing you are looking for.  I noticed several other California Plumbing businesses with variations on name or same when I went to write this review.
Second, the price quoted is the price I received even though other plumbers would and have in the past added on to the bill.
Narration:  I needed four half inch angle valves replaced and have the water lines reconnected.  Not only were the lines reconnected but my plumber replaced the old ones with new.  Flanges to the wall were also replaced.  The job was QUICK, QUIET, PROFESSIONAL, and CLEAN.
LASTLY the communication was mostly via YELP messaging and worked great.  Fast also, and little chance for miscommunication as everything is in writing already :)  

Everyone is nervous when they call a plumber, well don't be California Plumbing is a name you can trust.  (Note: As I said earlier be sure you are getting the right California Plumbing as there are more than one.)

Our water heater sprung a leak and needed replacement.  I've never had to deal with a water heater replacement before and momentarily toyed with the idea of doing it myself. Home depot and Lowe's didn't carry the type I needed (power vent) so I conceded to the idea that someone else would have to handle this as I didn't really know where to shop for these things other than the majors.  

I called Bill Howe as they had free on-site inspection/estimates.  The guy shows up and takes one look and says, These models are really expensive then came back with a ridiculous estimate.  I laughed as he quoted $1900 for the water heater itself not including labor and parts which I knew was almost a 100% mark-up having researched prices earlier.

I then hit up yelp and did the request a quote thing to six different plumbers.  Daniel responded first with a quote that shined an even larger light on how gouging the Bill Howe people were.  He even said he could get it done the same day even though it was late in the day July 3rd right before the holiday.  

I accepted and Daniel called and said he'd be here in about an hour which he was, exactly.  He worked diligently and answered all my questions.  He gave me advice on maintaining our new water heater.  What he quoted was what he charged.  He even brought to my attention a water pressure problem we have, which I already knew about and which I'm having him come back and fix in a couple days for us.

From all the other quotes I eventually received later in the day after Daniel was already finished with the job, Daniel's price was the most reasonable and prompt.  I'm not a huge yelper but I'll take the time when I had a truly great or truly awful experience.  Daniel was great and I feel fortunate for crossing his path as I now know who my plumber is if anything else arises.

Based on my complete interaction and rendering of services from Almighty, I felt it necessary to provide a five-star review.

From the initial phone call with Matt and Joe (to describe the plumbing issue), to quickly scheduling an appointment for within an hour, I realized that I was communicating with consummate professionals.

For this particular service, George arrived on time, assessed the situation and was able to fix the plumbing rather quickly. It is reassuring working with professionals that make it known if one method does not work, they have several others at their disposal. George answered all of my questions, including most importantly, how to avoid the same situation in the future. He was meticulous with his work, treating it as if it was his own residence. Thankfully, the team at Almighty understands what the highest level of workmanship means. And, Joe, because I know you will read this review (and it is worth a lot to the public at large), please provide George with a healthy step increase to his salary! Seriously!

CHRIS  was   real  helpful over the Phone in THAT..............   Nobody  Has  PIEZO's !  (  N I jus learnt to sphell it  ; )   What is  Up w   dat ?  A  $4   item  and  without it.. couldn't  start the  water heater ?    Fortunately  Fergusens...   had  an old   abandoned  scrap water heater  w  one still on it out  Back.

My 40-year-old toilet was becoming wobbly when you sat on it and I was afraid the problem would only worsen with time. I thought I needed a plumber to solve the problem and that it would cost me around $250 to remove and reinstall the toilet.  I contacted Don from J Geyer Plumbing Who just happened to be working on another house across the street from me. He said he would be happy to look at my toilet and give me a free estimate when he was finished on his current job in a couple of hours which would make it around 2:30 PM.  Sure enough right on time he arrived at my door with a smile on his face and a friendly hello. I let him into my bathroom and explained the issues I had with the loose toilet. He explained that he could fix it with some caulking, that it didn't need to be removed.  I realized at that point I could fix it myself and he agreed that it was an easy job I just need to clean it very well and apply the sealant. There was no charge for this advice. The next day I did as he indicated and my toilet is now perfectly solid thanks to Don.  I am so happy to have found a new plumber who is competent and friendly offers free estimates and free good advice.
