I posted a request for a quote here. Got a call within 5 minutes from John Joyce. My moms garbage disposal was not working. John talked us through how to try and fix it, and we did. Whatta guy! Saved me $$ and taught me something new in the wonderful world of home ownership! I will definitely call him again if the need arises. That is great customer service and true relationship business. 5 stars just for that!

Christian was friendly and very informative regarding what needed to be done. He was able to change the parts same day and quick. Great customer service!

We're new to San Diego and are glad we found Pelayo Handyman Services! So far he's installed two bathroom fans/lights in our home and helped us locate a hard to find part for our bathtub faucet. I felt his prices were fair and competitive compared to others in the area. He was also very professional he got the job done quickly. I will definitely call him back with any additional issues we may have and for future upgrades we're planning in our new home.

Bob was incredibly quick and honest. I called at 4:00pm on a Monday and he was here the very next day exactly when he said he'd be here. He's very honest because he didn't charge me a penny. He looked under my sink and told me that I needed a new faucet. I said I'll run to Costco and get a new one. Bob said he loves it when people ask him to install a Costco faucet because he knows they'll be calling him back shortly to install one that doesn't leak. He said I could go buy one and do it myself or give him a call and he'd come back the next day. It turns out that he was right. Buying a good faucet made it so much easier to install. Most other plumbers would have charged for coming out and wouldn't have given free advice BEFORE they started working.

I recently had an issue with my A/C Ducts where air was not reaching some of my bedrooms.  I contacted many local HVAC businesses.  I got some in-home estimates where the technicians told me my problem was pretty much hopeless or the cost was high to fix the problem.  As I was about to give up hope, Tarpy came in and was able to schedule an in-home estimate pretty quickly.  

Robert came out and I explained to him my issue within my old house.  Robert was able to instantly find the problem and came up with a solution.  I was impressed about the time he took to diagnose the problem. He wrote it out on paper and made it easy to understand what the problem was and his solution to make the current setup to be more efficient.  After reviewing the quote, I decided that Robert's plan was the best for my house at the right price.

A week later, the project began. Robert came back to explain to the technicians the scope of the project and his vision for fixing my problem.  Chris, Degan, and David went right to work and undertook this project over two days.  I honestly did not grasp the scope of this project.  It had a lot of moving parts and these guys made sure it was perfect.  Each room was planned, and new ducts and registers were run.  They even took care of the minor cosmetic issues that no one would have noticed if they didn't mention it.  It was not easy to work up in that attic with temperatures a little warmer than normal, but they did it with ease.  Every time I had a question, they explained it to me and did not make me feel like I was wasting their time.  As with any project, there was some snags, but we worked through them with little disruption.

The end result was each room in my house getting more air and my house running about 10 degrees cooler than it was before they started the project. For the first time in a long time, I walked into a cool house after a long day outside.  The bonus was they cleaned up after themselves and it was hard to tell they even cut into the ceiling.  

I cannot thank these guys enough.  It was miserable in my house during the high heat and Tarpy came to the rescue.   The new ducts work perfect. I would recommend Tarpy to anyone who needs duct work in their house.  They are amazing and know what they are doing.  When the time comes and I need to use Tarpy's services again, I will for sure give them a call. They pride themselves on their customer service and work ethic and it is noticeable.

This company is true to its name. They saved me a ton of time and headache! If I ever have future issues, I won't hesitate to call them.

Our dryer broke down recently, and Marco from SBG reached out to us when we were looking up quotes for repair.

We wanted to update our bathroom and family room. The Pros were just that, pros!  They came out and helped me with the design by making great suggestions.  We had a budget and they helped me meet it but they didn't sacrifice the quality of their work.

I called up Pleins when I made a mess of under my guest vanity and needed help with the P trap.  Steve came over knew exactly how to fix me up and get me running.  In an hour he simplified my diy pipeworks mess and even guided me in the right direction to finish the ac line tie in.  Very fast, honest, and trustworthy.  Thanks again!

I had to call Point Loma Electric six months after someone else did electrical work in my house. I was still having the same problems and needed a professional electrician, not someone that can fix my electrical at low cost. I had a feeling I got what I paid for with the previous company. Point Loma Electric came out and performed a very thorough inspection and found several problems with the previous work - some of which were very dangerous. I was extremely impressed with the level of knowledge and expertise in electrical work. They were able to explain in great detail, without hesitation what exactly needed to be done. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing electrical work.

Bill and Carlos are amazing!! My bathtub was not draining. Bill spent time trying to diagnose my problem over the phone and gave me advice and suggestions on how to fix the problem. I consider myself pretty handy, but this one was beyond me. When I couldn't fix it myself, Bill and Carlos came over and fixed it right away. They also gave me advice on two other plumbing questions I had. As others have said, Bill and Carlos are friendly, honest, and good at what they do. I've found my go-to plumbers!

Great hauling business, friendly crew and very reasonable rates! They arrived on time and were quick and thorough. I forgot about a desk and they came back the next day for it. Responsive, courteous and prompt. Will definitely refer them to friends and use them again and again.

My thermostat stopped working, and Anderson PHA sent Junior to diagnose the problem for a very reasonable fee of $68.  Junior competently and efficiently pinpointed the problem to a short in the wiring (likely caused by rodents) between the inside A/C unit and the outside A/C unit. He gave me a quote of $3,600 to replace the wiring representing a charge of $90 per foot.  He also said that my present wiring was not in a conduit therefore making it easy prey for rodents.  His new installation would include a protective conduit.  I told Junior that, because of the high cost, I would seek another opinion, whereupon he lowered his quote to $2,400.  Junior also suggested that I get a quote from Anderson for replacing the furnace unit (which also contains the brains for the A/C) and this way the wiring charges would be included and therefor waived. After Junior left, I went into my crawl space to see if I could locate the short in the wiring and, indeed, I located it within five minutes.  I also found that 98% of my existing wiring was safely encased in a conduit, and in the one place where it was unprotected (within the outside wall), the wire insulation had been eaten by rodents. With a friend's help I pulled the bare wires apart and found by trial and error the means to restart the A/C along with the thermostat.  The A/C has now been running for 24 hours without any issues.  You may draw your own conclusions from this review, but the extra star is for the proper problem diagnosis by a competent technician.

This company does a great job with the customer service from my experience. For starters, they'll let you know 30-45 minutes when they are on their way to your house. And you can even track them as they are making their way to your home.

They recently installed a brand new HVAC system and their expertise in air conditioning is top notch, and knowing exactly what type of furnace and condensor unit to use for our size house.

They are friendly, professional and they had no hesitation with wearing shoe covers and masks inside our home. Great job!
