We had a gas furnace issue at my mothers house that needed to get resolved. I called 5 different plumbing firms to provide service. The only one to respond was Rich Hoffman. He called back within a day and also texted me. Fortunately another person was able to show us how to resolve the plumbing issue and we contacted RIch to tell him we didn't need his services. I am writing this review because when you have a plumbing emergency you need to have a reliable resource to help you. Rich Hoffman was the only one to respond to our need. We still have not heard from any other of the plumbing firms we contacted.  I only rated him 4 stars because he didn't get the chance to further impress us with his work.

Called them on Friday and ask if someone could come before 1pm. I have 2 issues: shower pressure and shower head/body exchange.
Veronica squeezed me in the schedule and Bo was great! He fixed the problem in about hour and also told me what parts I would need to further correct my issue.
I could not be happier with service and repair.
Would recommend them and use again!

Honest professionals with excellent integrity. Came by to look into a shower plumbing issue I was having on short notice. Arrived early and worked very efficiently. Communication was excellent throughout. Would highly recommend.

James is the BEST! I called him on short notice when a shut off valve for my kitchen faucet failed. He was very prompt did a great job changing out 3 under sink valves and was very reasonable. I will be using him again and will tell all my friends and family. Thank you James

Let me get something off my chest: I know nothing about plumbing. Thank goodness for Matthew, the owner of Flo-Rite, who is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and all-around professional.

Communication (5/5): I am a big fan of using Yelp to find businesses for a job or project and this experience reinforced that. Matthew was prompt to reply, answer my questions, and provide a COI upon request. Additionally, I've been told by other plumbing professionals and hobbyists that Grohe products (such as the one in my shower) can be finicky -- but Matthew assured me beforehand that he has worked with this brand before and understands the potential challenges with it.  

Job (5/5): Matthew arrived exactly on time for the scheduled appointment to replace the thermostatic valve in my Grohe shower. In less than an hour, he replaced the faulty valve, recalibrated the temperature handle, and successfully tested the shower temperature.

Knowledgable (5/5): We thought our water shut off valve was behind our trash. Turns out that is just our hot water shut off. Matthew quickly found the cold water shut off under our sink. He went above and beyond and explained how the to properly turn off our water without breaking it, which was quite helpful to learn!

Professional (5/5): Matthew was courteous and a true professional. This may sound basic, but I've had contractors and technicians make a mess in our apartment. Not this time -- Matthew wiped his feet on a towel after stepping out of the shower to not track water everywhere. Those little things really add up and make a difference to me.

Value (5/5): We received some quotes from other plumbers which were outrageous. Matthew's quote was right in the middle compared to others and I feel it was of excellent value. After finishing he said he always wants the job to be done correctly and if something bad happens afterwards he works with the individual to make it right. I appreciate that confidence and workmanship in a business.

TL;DR: I will be calling Matthew for all my plumbing needs in the city. He's a truly knowledgable professional and I recommend him to all!

Long overdue Shout out to this company which really stepped up in a pinch for a first time (but not last time) customer. It was the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.  I went to do the laundry, which is in the basement, and I realized there was sewage coming up from the slop sink.  I called a number of companies that I used before, and none could accommodate an emergency.  I reached a live person (Michael) who said he would have someone there within the hour.  Well it was little more than an hour - closer to 3 (which is why they don't have 5 stars) but Matt came, and stayed for at good 4 hours, snaking out all the lines until the clogs (which turned out to be in the pipes running beneath my basement floor, among others) were cleared. This involved also changing the valves on the main because they were original and rusted shut.  He was neat, clean, polite, and very knowledgeable. And they didn't surcharge for a holiday weekend.    Thank you so very much!

I had Keith and his son service my boiler recently. They were prompt with there time and did a complete job on my boiler! They were honest and professional!

I would not only highly recommend them but will definitely call them again in the near future for any other plumbing needs I many have.

Not sure how you rate a plumber. Cost? Well, they weren't inexpensive. I had to
have the insides of three toilets replaced as we finally tired of each john's
idiosyncratic nature when it came to jiggling handles to get the flappers to close.
And yes, it is a simple job for almost anyone to replace the ballcock and
flapper; but due to my own physical limitations due to age and operations, not a
choice. So I paid $680 parts and labor. How about rating on professionalism? The
young man who arrived was prompt and courteous and he did give me the price
upfront. When he began he discovered a problem with one of the pipes and that
had to be replaced. And two of the other johns had some corrosion about the
bolts and that meant they had to be replaced and new washers were needed. All in
all it took almost three hours for this simple job. But I give kudos for
professionalism. Everything was explained and if I had been able to do the job
myself, I would have missed what could have turned out to be major problems down
the line. Overall, a good experience and if you need a good professional, I
would say give this company a chance. They take MC and VISA. I would have them
back. And their work is guaranteed for a year.

Nothing negative to say!   It was all good--fast response time,  then quick assessment appointment.  They quoted a time frame, price,  detailed job description--and everything was done exactly as promised.  Nice people too.  I'd say the pride  and satisfaction in their  fine work  was earned,  highly recommend.     I have a beautiful new water heater!   One of my best plumber hires.

Jason did a great job. Before the job began they did a great communicating and giving updates. Jason was prompt and efficient.

Johnny came to the rescue when no one else would! My toilet was clogged and overflowing and after waiting over 3 hours for help from my management company, I called up Johnny (based on reviews on Yelp). He was here within the hour and had the issue resolved in about 45 minutes. He was polite, and efficient. He provided me with a receipt and a business card. Would definitely call him again!

The one drawback is he doesn't take credit cards and prefers cash.

Lovely to work with. He returns calls within the day and gives his cell for emergencies. He clearly knows what he is doing and charges fairly. I have used him several times and had reason to regret it recently when I called another local company who did bad work for a ridiculous price.

Thanks to Dayton Towers Corporation's connection with this Company, on Friday BRANDON and BRIAN arrived at my apartment. I had a long-lasting ugly leak on my bathroom wall with the source in the upstairs shower cabin. After the wall was opened, they checked both apartments and determined that the private installation upstairs was dysfunctional and caused the leak in my bathroom and the next-door neighbor's kitchen.  They removed the old pipe and installed the new one. All the time they worked running up and down, moving quietly between the two apartments. They did not take a lunch break, as they say, they never do that when on the job. They are not only very professional but also very nicely mannered, guys that you can trust and like from the very first moments of their arrival. This BBduo is also very well-organized, doing fast a great job and leaving me happy with the result.
I highly recommend these 2 gentlemen to anyone who needs good and nice plumbers.

Paul Shay (da boss) and his men are amazing.  I think they are the best plumbers in the city.  They have come day and night (I'm serious, any time of night) and have never disappointed.  Paul and his crew are pros and know what's up.  I'm bummed that I know them so well (chronic prob in my building), but I challenge you to find a better plumber in this town.  Booya.

A small platoon of Ryan's army renovated the vent and drain for my kitchen, replacing old grody galvanized pipe that had nearly closed inside with all modern PVC. They also pulled out the big old clog-prone cast-iron trap, again PVC to the rescue. Let's just say the isht is flowing freely now!

The two men in this crew were unfailingly polite, listened to what I requested exactly as far as routing the pipe and patching the roof, did a very professional job, and even made truly serious attempts at cleaning up after themselves lol. The boss Kevin Ryan stopped by from time to time but left the work to the big dudes, clad uniformly in khaki work pants and dark shirts. They're a first class operation, down to the shiny truck stocked with everything you might imagine.

Should you hire a plumber who drives a beemer?  Well I was mostly trying to hire locally, and was exceptionally glad to see all the work done quickly, it's a little dicey when you can't flush!

Of course there was a big bill at the end.  At these hourly rates I just can't gjve 5 stars, sorry.

Contacted them when my pilot light was out.  Mark came over, attempted to start the pilot multiple times, diagnosed that the valve that keeps the pilot on needed to be repaired.  He also cleaned out the dust that built up in the furnace.  The next day once I had my heat on, my radiators started leaking, the company sent Mark back and he drained the furnace and checked the valves, water feeder and other parts to make sure they were in good working order. Did not charge me.  Their fee is $125 to come out, which gets applied to the job if you have work done.
