We found out about Hoffman Plumbing through social media recommendations initially. Rich and his entire team are professional, can communicate extremely well, at our house when they say they will be, fix and perform jobs like its his own house, reasonable priced!!!!!
I've only known Rich for a little 3 months but I feel like he is not only our plumber but a friend too! Really knows how to deal with people and has so much patience to take the time and explain things to me!!!
Look no further for another plumber!!!

We had a leak going on in our building and it was dripping through the sheet rock. I had gone through several plumbers that wouldn't get back to me when they said they would, didn't have anyone available, & had pretty steep prices just to come out. Once I got the number to Gene D Plumber, Veronica was able to help! She called back when she said she would, their price to come out was reasonable & she ended up getting Jacob out that day! Jacob even came a bit early- I really liked that! Jacob was great & did a wonderful job & luckily, because all three tenants were home, there were no holes made in the Sheetrock. He was very adamant about not cutting holes & looking for other ways to find the problem & I'm very glad no holes were cut! I will be using this company in the future.

I also had to join yelp just to review Richard and Brian. These guys are absolutely amazing!! They are dependable, trustworthy, and spend as much time as they need to get the job done right, every time. They often suggest creative solutions and work with you throughout the entire process to achieve your goals and stay within your budget (for everything from installing a complicated plumbing situation for a washer/dryer to simply unclogging a basic drain).
I feel very lucky to have come across Richard and Brian via yelp and wanted to add one more shout out for these guys. Do yourself a favor and give them a call!

we called James to help fix a broken valve on the gas line leading into our range. He was professional, courteous and with a pleasant attitude. I'd recommend him for any plumbing needs!

Our tub was not draining properly and the service and plumber were very responsive and timely. Matt fixed the problem (luckily easy to fix). I would recommend since the price tag was reasonable and they were on time and super communicative throughout the process.

They provided same day service . The plumber was knowledgeable and resolved my issue quickly. He followed all Covid safety measures including putting booties on when he entered my home. I wouldn't hesitate to call them or recommend them in the future,

Letter to Joseph Kennan( Bob's Lawyer)
In August I contacted Bob McManus, as he was an approved plumber on my cooperative's list. As soon as he answered the phone I greeted him, introduced myself and asked him if he works on cesspools in Breezy Pont. He said he did. I explained to him that I had a cesspool in the front of my house that was not able to handle all the plumbing that was going into it and I wanted my shower and sink water from my bathroom rerouted to a cesspool located in the rear of my house. I explain to him that it was full of sand for many years. I explained also that I had a laborer that would come and dig it out. He asked me if the laborer knew anything about cesspools and I told him no. He said just have him take out the sand that was inside the cesspool and do not have him dig out around the cesspool that he would take care of that part. We discussed in detail what needed to be done as far as refurbishing (for lack of a better term) the cesspool. He explained the outside of the entre cesspool would be dug out and lined with a material that allows water to drain yet won't allow sand to penetrate through and also that gravel would be placed all around the outside. I knew all about this and was happy to hear Bob was experienced and was able to assure me this would be done properly. He also explained how everything would be sealed up nice and tight regarding the hole that was being made in my back wall in the basement.
On August 18 I had the laborer come and dig out the cesspool. Bob was actually in the area and came by and looked at the man that was digging out the cesspool while he was standing in the cesspool. He told him in front of me to take out about another foot or so which he did until he hit water. I texted Bob told him it was done and explained he hit water.
Bob's men were supposed to come here two days later on August 20 at 8 AM. At 8:24 AM I texted Bob because no one showed up. He said they were coming, which they did at about 9:15 that morning. They proceeded to do the plumbing work with rerouting the piping from my sink and shower to the back of my basement. They had to make a hole in the foundation wall to bring the pipe through to the cesspool which they did.
I noticed at 1:45 that they never started digging around the cesspool and there was no delivery of gravel. When I asked the guys when they were going to start doing that, neither of them had any idea what I was talking about. I texted Bob immediately. In the text I said to him, your men don't know anything about digging around the cesspool or the gravel and you said you were going to put around the cesspool. His reply was, yes you're right we will need another day. Shortly after Bob came with a few bags of gravel about 5, 40 pound bags of gravel. One bag of gravel is about the size of a shoebox there would be much more gravel needed to surround the entire cesspool. He also was using the wrong gravel a very small pebble like gravel that is never used. He had his man dig a couple of holes in random spots and dump a bag in each hole. It does not make sense to dump gravel at the top area of a cesspool as you want it to drain starting from the bottom up. He insisted that it would be fine he followed that by saying let me know if it doesn't drain but you should be fine.
Bob also had told me the holes that the pipes were going through would be closed up and sealed properly. That was never done. I had to contact him again about sealing the holes. He had someone come back that following Monday to do that. He actually had to use spray foam that I had already in my house to seal it up temporarily until he brought the metal piece to put around the pipe against the wall.
Later on I found a huge hole in the block of the cesspool that my fist was able to fit through.(probably hole that was used for line years ago) That hole would allow sand to spill in and continually enter the cesspool. Once again he had to send one of his men back to place a piece of tin over that hole and bang it in so the sand would stop pouring into the cesspool. Later I wound up getting some bags of gravel to dump around that hole because it wasn't covering the hole completely still allowing sand to seep in.
When we agreed that Bob would do this job he was going to do it exactly like he said and he only completed half of the work. I paid him $2000 to basically reroute my water and run a PVC pipe. His men worked from 9:30 to 3:00 with an hour lunch break where I barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs for them.
I actually had to pump a few days ago because the water was approaching the pipeline. If it did, then I would have water backing up into my sink and shower. BOB owes me $1000. since he only did half the work. Now he and his lawyer deny he was ever doing work to my cesspool. OUTRIGHT LIE!

After a mis-communication by the office, a plumber came to replace my steam valve. He needed to remove the PTAC to do this, and got a colleague to come over. He also noticed (and the super told him) the steam trap needed to be replaced. Pleasant, efficient. All done in one day even though he had to go out to get a part.
Two things: the office should tell you they charge extra for credit card but no fee for debit. Other is they should ask customer to send a photo so they can see if they need another person before they come out.

Couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Had leaks in the bathroom going down into the ceiling of the kitchen from a bad contractor who remodeled the bathroom. Called Ryan & Company to come take a look and the owner Bill came to take a look later that day. Sent out his technician Brandon, who was at our house at 8 AM the next morning to do the repairs. After fixing the leaking shower, we decided he should check the toilet and sink as well to be safe. Sure enough they both had leaks as well, Brandon was able to fix all three leaks very quickly and even did some extra caulking to enhance the appearance. Both Bill & Brandon were very knowledgable, friendly, showed up on time and did a great job at a fair price. If you need plumbing work done in North Jersey, call Ryan & Company now.

They should be called Village Crooks!
I have a simple toilet issue and was charged 300 replace a gasket.
I asked the plumber to look at a slow leak I had in my kitchen sink. The kid gave me a song and dance of how all of my pipes were going bad and needed to be replaced.
Quoted me at $1700 dollars.
I should have told him to leave at that point but they charge a minimum of $140 to show up.
Next time I am going to call anyone else but Village Crooks!
