I needed to have a pipe replaced under my kitchen sink. I called several plumbing businesses. Jimmy from 718 called back within ten minutes. His techs were booked for that day, but he said if I wanted service that day, he would find a way to get one to my house. I told him it was not an emergency, and he booked an appointment for the next morning. The tech, Rich, arrived on time. He assessed the job and quoted a very reasonable price. He did the job efficiently and thoroughly. He was pleasant and answered all my questions.  I now have a place to call with confidence for any subsequent plumbing issues. Thanks again.

I got to my basement and saw a tub full of dirty water.  After a quick google search I realized I would need a plumber.  I put up a description on yelp and was happy to get some quick replies.  After a few messages I decided to go with Safeway because they had a reasonable quote and were very responsive.   Safeway sent two plumbers for the job.  They did excellent work and even answered some questions I had about a shower I had recently installed.  They were quick, considerate, affordable and kind.  I highly recommend them for all your plumbing needs.  All home owners need a plumber they can trust and I am very happy to have found them!

These guys are TOPS. Sent out an auto yelp request on Christmas Eve and Mike took the call and was even willing to send someone that eve or Xmas day to fix a boiler. Two days later, for a different problem at a friend's place, he took a call at 7p and showed up within 20 minutes and stayed until the problem (flooded basement from burst pipe at abandoned house next door) was fixed.

Justin is very reliable and responsive with good etiquette! My bathroom drain was clogged and needed emergency treatment.   He was very professional, diligent and thoroughly examined the problem to get to the bottom of the issue.  Highly recommend!!!

We ran up against a issue not having access to the water shut off when they needed it, and they figured out a work around, no problem, and we're reassuring me the whole time that it was ok, we would figure it out. I had a slow leak that was difficult to diagnose so I called Hub on a Tuesday and made an appointment for Thursday.  The cost was $50 to show up.  Angelo diagnosed a faulty faucet and told me where to buy a new faucet on line to save money and showed up the next week to install the faucet.  He did an excellent job and maybe I'm being naive but labor cost of $325 for the 30/45 minutes it took to install the faucet seems a bit pricey.

I am very glad to have finally found Intrepidus. They have been perfect with everything - fantastic pre-job communication (so many places don't even get back to you now!), friendly, timely, and most importantly, they are skilled and can be trusted to do a great job. They're able to communicate exactly what is happening, in detail, without talking down to you. And the final icing on the cake is the price, which is exceptionally reasonable; this is one of the rare times in professional services where I actually feel like I'm getting well more than my money's worth. I highly recommend Intrepidus and will use them again.

Called and an appointment was given for a specific date and time.  Plumber never showed up and no one even bothered to call to cancel.  Kept me waiting, wasting valuable time.

Needed a hot water tank replaced right away. Got quotes from a few other local plumbers. GG Plumbing's quote was the second cheapest. However, Gasper was very quick to respond and he gave me a firm quote. After calling back the lower priced plumber who then gave me the price starting at... spiel, I went with my gut and gave Gasper the green light to start the work. The guys showed up the same day at the promised time and got it done in a couple of hours. Quick and painless experience for a plumbing emergency. I am happy!

We recently had an issue with needing a sign-off and he responded immediately.  

He has a master plumber license and that means he can get things done directly with Department of Buildings.  Uptown property owners needing to find a good plumber should seek him out.

FRAUDS-DISHONEST
I started to change the float system in my toilet tank got it all drained and old removed and hit an impasse. I called the company which forwarded me to a cell phone. I told him the issue, asked him a price. I had the equipment already (brand new float and flapper combo) has already taken the tank apart and old float and flapper our. He told me if I had the equipment it would be 175+tax. I agreed. He told me to call the front desk and give them my credit card. I did such and he sent over a worker.
The worker was respectful and neat and did a great job. But he told me he had to use his own equipment since he was responsible for the job. I told him to use mine or take mine since I just opened it and won't have use for it.
He completed the project. It worked and still works great.

Four days later I get a charge for 275+. I email/call and text him. He tells me to call the store for a reason and then calls me and said it's because they used their own equipment. It was a forced issue. I asked for a refund 100.00. I told him I would dispute the claim for 100.00 because I was willing to pay the agreed to cost not a billed one he made up. I NEVER SIGNED A RECEIPT FOR 275+.

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH INDIVIDUALS LIKE THIS. Good riddance

I had a leak under the kitchen sink for some time now and have not been able to locate a plumber. ESP Piping was quick to respond and was helpful over the phone for an initial diagnosis. John came in, located the cracked pipe and replaced it under 30 minutes.  Extremely nice! Professional , reasonable pricing and also provided great maintenance tips.

We had an appointment window of 11a to 3p and called repeatedly, someone shows up at 8p.  We called to have a bathroom faucet replace and they wouldn't give any pricing over the phone - said we would get it on site. When the plumber got here, he quoted us $450 and said it was a 30 minute job. This is outrageous pricing for 30 minutes or work (in addition to all of the extra waiting time). We said no way and sent them away.
