Best Plumbing Services in United States
Non responsive and ridiculous- asked for tip for just looking at a toilet and said a person like you with a nice nyc apartment can't tip?
Made me SO uncomfortable.

We purchased washer and dryer combo and we could not use it because it clog up our kitchen sink due to old drainage pipe that needed replacement and unclog. We called DC plumbing and they arrive within 2 hours. Dorjan completed the job and cleaned up nicely afterwards.
I highly recommend them.

Our basement was flooding when we ran the washing machine because there was water coming out from under the bathtub of the bathroom on that floor. We assumed the worst but knew it was something that needed immediate resolution so called these guys the next day. They came out the same day and assessed the situation and then the boss came out and immediately figured out it was the sump pump. There were also some other things my mom (who had been hosting them) mentioned needed to be done as well. The boss wrote out the invoice/contract and the guys came the next morning to do the work and when they said they would be there at 9, they were there at 9. Every time they came and went they were always right on the dot, which already is a huge pro! I hate waiting around for people who don't show up when they said they would. Then it turned out there had been some miscommunication (you could argue fault on both sides so not blaming them AT ALL) and some more work needed to be done than originally contracted. No problem, they came out and did another work order and did the additional work that same day between other jobs. They always stayed long enough to check their work (for example, waiting for washing machine to discharge water to make sure it wasn't flooding). They were respectful, professional, and I think fairly priced. Plumbing work is never cheap but all things considered I think all the work they had to do was well worth the price. I was nervous about having to call for professional help just by looking on the internet, but as usual the internet is always right! Just kidding, but since I did rely on other reviews to pick these guys wanted to add my own. I'll happily call these guys again next time I need them!

Andy's Plumbing & Drain Services were incredible. They will be the only one I call for my plumbing needs in the future. Reasonably priced, professional, courteous, and most of all the work speaks for itself. If you are looking for a plumber in Brooklyn (or anywhere else they serve) I would 100% recommend hiring them. Thank you!

All Day Plumbing and Heating replaced our gas water heater thoughtfully, consulting on the phone with someone about their strategy for any unusual issues, and when they actually installed it, it went smoothly and it all works perfectly. We went through a big box store for them, but in the future we'll contact directly.

I requested a window AC installation service and received a prompt response within a few hours. Two professionals arrived at the agreed-upon time and took care of everything without my intervention. They removed my old AC unit, installed the new one, and even cleaned up after themselves. The entire process took approximately 30 minutes, and they also took away the old AC unit, relieving me of the responsibility of disposing of it.

Great job hanging a mirror on my brick wall!!! Michael was super professional, with lots of experience. Really appreciate his attention to detail and dedication to making sure I was satisfied with the tilt of the mirror.

I would highly recommend S&B Plumbing in Hoboken. We woke up to a flooded bathroom due to a broken water heater (thank you, Friday the 13th!). Steve was at my apartment by 11:30AM to provide an estimate. Two men came shortly after to install a brand new 50 gallon unit and were completely finished by 4:00PM. The two men who did the removal and installation were very nice, respectful, and clean! They even had to hike up and down 5 flights of stairs and not once complained. Steve arrived towards the end to verify the completion of the work and manage the payments, which was very professional. The entire team was very thorough and very kind. Thank you, S&B!!

I called on a sticky hot day in July to request an installation asap. 24 hours later, my apartment was cool and comfortable!
Joe was informative, friendly and personable. He has a great sense of humor. From start to finish, the entire installation took less than an hour. They worked efficiently, and the end result was a solid installation of a top quality air conditioner.
I would call again in a heartbeat, and definitely recommend them to anybody trying to avoid the wheeling and dealing sometimes unavoidable at PC Richards.

I know, everyone says hire a licensed contractor that you've vetted by seeing their work in person. And they say that for a reason, because my husband and I were really screwed over by an unlicensed guy who worked on our neighbor's house and really talked a good game. But he messed up our house so badly. He did stupid mistakes that even I knew were wrong (and I'm just an average DIYer). It was a living nightmare to watch this guy and his workers break antique fixtures, refuse to repair mistakes they made, not build cabinets and walls to my specifications, and paint things incorrectly with gobs of expensive paint. I was literally staying up late nights after they left to undo and redo these people's work.
So, you can imagine how relieved I was when we decided to fire that guy and look up on Yelp for someone new. Harry came over right away to give an estimate and pointed out all the mistakes the nightmare contractor did. He had great ideas for neatening up details to make everything look perfect and be built to last. His estimate was a little more expensive than I expected, but pretty close to what we were paying before, and I could tell that Harry's expertise and work ethic were way above average.
Harry himself came by most of the time to do the work, with assistants and subcontractors who cared as much as he did. He tiled an intricate backsplash, straightened walls, repaired several plumbing mistakes, and repaired cabinets (that my friends who are cabinet makers said would be nearly impossible/a total pain in the neck). He and his workers always swept and vacuumed after themselves, which was such a relief after experiencing utter disarray with the last people. And when a couple things were left unfinished or incorrectly done (some stains in our tub from the plumber, an unpainted sheetrock repair), Harry came by again until we were 100% satisfied in his work.
It's really hard to find someone you can trust in the contracting world. I've done several projects over a couple of homes and have seen the gamut of workers: cheap and shady, cheap and kind but not really great, expensive and shady, and then there's Harry (and Ariana in the office who deserves a shout out!), who stands by his workmanship and subcontractors and gets things done on time. I wish I hired him first for every project we've done, and he will always be the first person I call from now on.

I had been putting off getting a hole in a pipe under my kitchen sink fixed for a few weeks. I had patched it on a temporary basis but I really needed the pipes replaced. I put out a request through YELP and in seconds was contacted by Adonis. He asked some questions, and quoted me a reasonable price for parts and materials. He came by that day and had the pipes fixed in no time. While doing this job he also noted that the valves under the sink need to be replaced (old plumbing). He said any able to take care of it then because the building has to shut off the water on the line. But when I get that sorted, I'm calling these guys to do the work.

Michael responded to my call quickly and was able to come work on my drain right away. He was very honest about my plumbing situation and gave me reliable and informed advice on how to handle the problem. We will definitely be using him from now on.

I don't know what John D. is talking about; I suppose nobody's perfect. But I've been using Wellbrock for eight years and they always treat me fairly, are responsive, and do great work. It's really nice to have a local, reliable plumber--Doug and Co. fit the bill.

Have called Arch Plumbing twice now. The first time for a major shower repair,; second time a clogged line and leaking pipes in my kitchen. They spotted the problem(s) quickly, repaired, cleaned up (spotlessly) with extremely reasonable charge. No recurring problems.
Got the referral from my local plumbing supply store. Guess that was a good sign.

We just needed to use Ariel Plumbing yesterday during our COVID quarantine, and their service was so on point, safe and efficient, a review was necessary. Had a major blockage in our single bathroom/bathtub. We were so nervous to need to call an outside plumber during this difficult time. We called Ariel services and they arrived within an hour. The plumber arrived with a mask, and gloves, and before he even entered, he requested that our family maintain their 6ft distance from him while he completed his work. His work was done quickly and efficiently and he left the bathroom in the same condition it was found. So thankful for their amazing service.

UPDATE 10/27/2017 - It's not an anomaly. I've used them 3 times now (moved into old apt...everything has now been replaced or repaired)...and each time they have been professional and responsive. I just got off the phone with the owner...no, it's not Fred...it's Phil...to thank him for a great team. They are no fly by night. They have over 80 plumbers they dispatch every day and a team inside who help their field guys find and get the right part to you (HUGE - knowing that most of these old apt's have nothing but expired, hard to find parts everywhere). I can't tell you how much I appreciate knowing I have these in the hood when I need plumbing help. Thanks Phil...and Mike...and Steve...and Gustavo!
Original post: Wow! I was surprised to see how few stars these guys had when I logged on to type this...because I just had a GREAT experience. I just called Fred Smith at the recommendation of the concierge of our building (Astor Terrace) as I'm new to the neighborhood. They gave me a simple hourly quote and were available within a couple days, which was required to schedule an entire part of the building water shut off for the work. My only complaint was that they were 2 hrs late to the job without a call that they'd be late...and I had to call them twice. BUT, once Mike got here...he was great. He coordinated (and directed) the building maintenance guys telling them what to do and when (Mike was very professional and knowledgeable regarding exactly what needed to be done...more than the building guys). The job involved replacing 3 master valves and replacing a complex kitchen faucet and shower cartridge (mechanism controlling water flow). He did this all in less than 2 hours. PERFECT. I would call them back in a minute and highly recommend them (at least Mike, for sure).

Call these people if you want to get completely ripped off.
My tenant has called Roto Rooter because dishwasher didn't drain water, and the water was leaking. The fix on the invoice was kitchen sink drain stopper clean. Three trips. Replaced the 2 Elbow waste pipe for kitchen. For this, they have charged her $200 for parts and $732 for labor. First, an elbow pipe cost $20 max, so that should have been $40 at most. The job lasted an hour and 20 min, counting the time he had gone to park his car and to retrieve tools, which was treated as three trips on the invoice. My tenant is a young woman with no knowledge of plumbing and has signed off on this without checking with me first. When I called them, and spoke with the manager on this blatant abuse of pricing, his response was that this is their price and the tenant was willing to pay this. Yes, I understand that they are free to quote whatever price they want to, and it was my tenant's own fault to get ripped off for not checking with other companies. However, it is completely dishonest to take advantage of someone just because they didn't know what the going rate is for the type of service performed. This job should not have cost more than $400 by a licensed plumber, and I'm counting higher because it is NYC. For a similar job, I have paid $200 elsewhere.
I'm giving them 1 star because at least, the job was done correctly and the problem is solved. But Roto Rooter is never getting my business again.
