Our circuit breaker kept tripping frequently and we needed our Ac's on as well as our other electrical appliances so it wasn't really an option turning certain things items off at a time. However, Peter came up with a simple solution and solved it really quick. There hasn't been a single problem since! I highly recommend him for any electrical problems.

I've lived in Union for almost 2 years now and I've been trying to find reliable companies for my home needs and Continental Plumbers is one of them. I've now used them a few times and they NEVER disappoint! When I call they are always very polite and actually seem to care about whatever issue I'm having. Every time I'm given a window for them to show up they are always on time. Also, the windows to arrive are reasonable, NOT like Hey someone will get to your home between 8AM - 4PM  The plumbers are always polite, know what they are doing, give great and honest suggestions and clean up when the job is complete. The last time they were here they vacuumed the area they were working in LOLOL. That was great and appreciated. Now that I have a plumbing company I can count on I just need to find a reliable landscaper, Sprinkler company and General contractor LOL! Continental is the BEST and as long as I'm a Union resident I won't be using anyone else! Thank you Continental!

Andy's Plumbing & Drain Services were incredible. They will be the only one I call for my plumbing needs in the future. Super awesome! Steve returned my call quickly, and he came over exactly when he said he would.  He took at the look at the small leak/hissing sound we had under our kitchen sink and immediately knew what was wrong.

He pulled the pipe out and fixed it,  he said that if it happens again it would be worth replacing just that portion of the pipe which he could do with a day's notice.

A very dependable plumber, would recommend him to my own friends so thought I should share with my Yelp friends!

Joe and his team were prompt, polite, friendly, flexible with my challenging schedule for installing a new window AC, and informative and patient in helping me decide which size to get and which window to put it in. I'm happy with the Friedrich unit I bought from them so far, it worked well in the humidity of the last week. Definitely would hire these guys again, though hopefully I won't need to for a while. We had some frozen pipes and Nick and Chris came promptly and got the hot water running in this old house!
It was on one of the coldest days, so I'm sure they were extremely busy, but they got the job done quickly and gave us tips on preventing the problem in the future.

Technician shows up on Tuesday,is super friendly & knowledgeable   Tells me exactly what I need & promises a proposal within a couple of days.  I call him on Friday, he apologizes for the delay & lack of communication; he then guarantees a call back by day's end....definitely Monday.  
It is now Thursday, almost 7 pm, I have not heard from Fabio.
Lousy communication, left me hanging.  Too late now. Guess they didn't want the job....

Scheduled a site visit and Harry never showed up.  Enough said.

Our sink pipe cracked on Christmas Eve and PS&D was very responsive and had a team out very quickly. They replaced the pipe and associated fixtures quickly and thoroughly.

Mike has helped us with our plumbing issues twice now. Both times he showed up within an hour or two of our call and was able to figure out and fix the problems. His prices are fair and he does fast and reliable work and he is a very nice guy. We are new to the area and already very glad to have found Magic Drain. Hopefully our issues are over now, but if something else come up we know who to call!

The best!  Rates are a little on the high side but certainly worth it when you consider the quality.  The two plumbers who showed up were clean, careful, pleasant and professional which is important as you are letting them into your house.     I would not hesitate to recommend them for any plumbing needs you have.

Have called Arch Plumbing twice now.  The first time for a major shower repair,; second time a clogged line and leaking pipes in my kitchen.  They spotted the problem(s) quickly, repaired, cleaned up (spotlessly) with extremely reasonable charge.  No recurring problems.

Got the referral from my local plumbing supply store.  Guess that was a good sign.

I couldn't agree with David A more. Totally rude on the phone--answer the phone with a simple Good morning, and then when I ask, Uh, is this Ariel Plumbing? they got all snippy and acted like it was the dumbest thing I could possibly have asked.

But I was willing to overlook because they said they'd be there to do the job within 45 minutes. 2 hours went by. I called. They said they'd page the plumber and he'd be over ASAP.

Another hour. Another call. Another promise.

Another hour. Another call. Another promise.

Yet another hour. Yet another call. Yet another promise.

And still another hour. And still another call. And this time, I was told that, unfortunately, they'd have to reschedule for the following day.

And then they never showed up at the appointed time. So I cancelled, much to their chagrin.

I had no idea finding a decent trustworthy plumber was so difficult in this city. This is NOT the place to start. I think Vermont P. is a fake and works for the company and put up a fake review.

I don't buy it. You shouldn't either.

I'm not a licensed plumber, but I had to hire Fred Smith because the work required a shut-off in the whole building. Fred Smith wouldn't come to look at the job without my first coughing up my cc #. I needed a shutoff valve replaced, and was then gouged for parts. They charged me $151 for a shutoff valve. (And $31 for solder.) These prices make the Pentagon's $900 hammer seem like a bargain. They seem to be taking advantage of helpless NYers who don't know about plumbing or what the parts cost.

I tried to make an appointment they told me 1230pm I said ok great....its almost 5pm and I have called and left messages and never even received a courtesy call they are running late or not showing up.very unprofessional and wouldn't wish service like this to anyone.

Call these people if you want to get completely ripped off.
My tenant has called Roto Rooter because dishwasher didn't drain water, and the water was leaking.  The fix on the invoice was kitchen sink drain stopper clean.  Three trips.  Replaced the 2 Elbow waste pipe for kitchen.  For this, they have charged her $200 for parts and $732 for labor.  First, an elbow pipe cost $20 max, so that should have been $40 at most.  The job lasted an hour and 20 min, counting the time he had gone to park his car and to retrieve tools, which was treated as three trips on the invoice.  My tenant is a young woman with no knowledge of plumbing and has signed off on this without checking with me first.  When I called them, and spoke with the manager on this blatant abuse of pricing, his response was that this is their price and the tenant was willing to pay this.  Yes, I understand that they are free to quote whatever price they want to, and it was my tenant's own fault to get ripped off for not checking with other companies.  However, it is completely dishonest to take advantage of someone just because they didn't know what the going rate is for the type of service performed.  This job should not have cost more than $400 by a licensed plumber, and I'm counting higher because it is NYC.  For a similar job, I have paid $200 elsewhere.
I'm giving them 1 star because at least, the job was done correctly and the problem is solved. But Roto Rooter is never getting my business again.
